Sophomore Year of High School - Or at least what I wish I had known.
Note: My notecard/notetaking masterpost should be up soon! I just need natural light for my pictures (its been raining a lot) and I need to clean up my room a little bit.
Anyways! I think this might be another series! I hope you all like it!
DO NOT PUT HOMEWORK OFF TILL TOMORROW IF IT’S DUE TOMORROW. Once you make the decision to do it later, it won’t get done. Just do it now, before it’s due date.
USE YOUR AGENDA/PLANNER TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. Write all of your assignments, due dates, test dates, important events, birthdays, etc. It’s just easier for you to keep up with everything if it’s all written down in a calendar.
ASK FOR HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT. Sometimes it can be super annoying asking others for help, especially if you are super used to doing everything on your own, but ask for help every now and then when things gets a little overwhelming.
GET SERIOUS ABOUT SCHOOL. No one has time for “freshman foolishness”. You’re a couple years away from being a young adult, start acting like one.
NO MORE “I PLAN”; START WITH “I WILL”. Wanna start a photography club? Wanna take that AP Psychology class? Do it!! Stop making plans to do stuff and take the initiative to do it! You’ll never know how something is unless you try.
BE YOU. Don’t care about whether or not your friend wants to take that AP Physics class with you. Don’t doubt yourself in applying for that summer program. Don’t worry if you’ll dislike that community service opportunity you’ve been meaning to sign up for. THIS IS YOUR LIFE. Follow your passion (or do something to find it!), find new topics to get interested in, do something fulfilling.
