Request: “I’ve always had this crazy idea to write about but could never get right but I think you may be the person who could!) Kylo Ren’s fiancée captured by the resistance questioned by General Organa herself. Have fun!”

Summary: After Starkiller’s destruction, the Resistance ramps up its attempts to bring down the First Order for good. In a stroke of luck the Resistance ends up finding a First Order member, knocked out by an explosion and takes them in. Little do they realize that they have in fact taken more than just an important member to the enemy, but Kylo Ren’s fiancee.

A/N: Kylo + love interest being kidnapped or harmed = there’s a lot more than shit that’s about to hit the fan, haha. Hope you enjoy!

“Pull back, pull back!”

The Resistance members all scurried from their posts, jumping over rubble and debris as they made their way to back to the ships. This battle was definitely not running the course they had hoped it would. Despite Starkiller’s destruction, the First Order was still running strong and more determined than ever to crush the Resistance. One thing they were never short of was brute force, even when they were desperately tired.

Finn dodged the last spurs of blaster shots almost grazing either of his arms and his back as he threw himself up against a crumbled wall. Heavily breathing, he closed his eyes trying to regain his stamina before he would run again. Taking a deep breath he nodded to himself, as if confirming he could do it despite shots still being fired. As his eyes opened once again he moved to turn towards the field again, getting himself ready to sprint once again. He suddenly came to a pause when he took note of a forearm sticking out from under some rubble.

Looking over his shoulder he assured there was no chance he would be shot if he went to investigate this sight. Turning back to the pile of rubble, he quickly crouched down removing the piles of stone from the top of a sheet of metal. Surely enough, as the remnants of the wall were cast aside he could see there was in fact someone laying under the metal. Quickly pulling the metal up, he looked at the figure laying there, motionless, soiled by dust and dirt. It was a woman with disheveled (Y/H/C), a grey spot of dust decorating the flesh of her left cheek, her attire was also greatly torn and soiled.

Gently Finn reached down, gripping onto her forearm as he pulled her out from under the metal, relieving her body of the weight of the fallen stones. As he finally got her onto the soil, he laid her on her back, looking her over to assure she was alive. Despite bringing her out into the fresh air however, she still remained still, her chest making no movement. Suddenly as he looked down at her, Finn noticed her attire. Though it was entirely trashed, she was wearing a black sort of uniform. The style was nothing he had seen before, it was much like Jedi robes, though held a resemblance to what lieutenants of the First Order would be wearing. She was one of them.

Kneeling down further, hovering over her torso, Finn placed two fingers to the woman’s pulse.

“Come on…”

With a single thump against his fingertip Finn felt some relief, but he hesitated, wanting to feel another. After a considerable matter of seconds, there was another thump. Standing up properly again, Finn pulled out his commlink as he frantically searched around him for anyone who would see him with this woman laying at his feet.

“Alert General Organa, I found something that she’ll want to see.”

The static from the other end responded with a question, Finn looked down at the woman.

“Oh it’s good. Get me some assistance to these coordinates, I’m going to need cover to get it back to the ship unharmed.”

Game reviews

I got bit by the reviewing bug and started leaving reviews of Steam.Thought I’d post them here too, for posterity. Mostly positive except for venting about the endings of Life is Strange and Transistor.

Long Live the Queen

10/10 would and will die again. This was actually the game that got me on Steam. When I saw that it’s a game where you have a tiny pink anime magical girl princess who you can craft to be everything from a vicious warlord to a silver-tounged spymaster, how could I resist, you know? This game is really endless, I’ve gone through so many variation and died in so many adorable and gruesome ways, killed so many people and queened so hard. This is just the right amount of twisted for me.

Also, I mean, I can get a girlfriend who is adopted by magical lesbian moms and wears Sailor Venus’s costume, that is truly living the dream.

I’d say my one complaint about the game is, girlfriends aside, even with the extinction I have to SERIOUSLY screw Elodie over if I want her to be able to marry a woman. Like get her dad killed and everything. Elodie’s Dad is a depressing, useless buzzkill so I’ll trade him for a hot wife, but that’s still pretty harsh.

We Know the Devil

Magical girl references plus beautiful, poetic writing plus cleverly written metaphors plus examination of social pressures, teenage alienation and queer struggles equals a story designed for me to love. This is a game so nice I played it twice. I played it when it first came out, but when I saw it on Steam I knew I had to get it and replay for fancy achievements

Read Only Memories

I knew I’d love this game because the protagonist is a broke internet journalist living in a crappy apartment who needs to use headphones all the time, which was basically me at the time (I’m still a broke internet journalist but have a slightly better apartment now). Unfortunately I don’t have an adorable robot friend, alas.

Seriously, Turing is the best and this game is utterly charming. It’s just so good natured with a nice sense of humor, and the retro game aesthetic is fun. The range of characters was pretty interesting and a lot of them were so cute and fun- Punk boy and anime guy were such ridic little lovebirds. The story and setting were very solid. For someone like me who love unlocking dialogue and exploring stuff, it was a dream. Also, everyone was queer, so I felt right at home. This kind of stuff is why I love indie games and I want more like this.

My one complaint is replayability to get the different endings is a chore, which is why I haven’t gotten them all yet. You can’t really skip over the dialogue or anything and so it’s tedious if you’ve read it already. I decided to take a break because of that so it will be fresh to me when I try to get a different ending.

I think “Not today” symbolic to what is going on in this day and age. I might be bias and say it could be mainly about America but there is unrest in almost every part of the world. We are starting to see almost all the people who traditionally always have power suddenly get scared about these different empowering movements and are grabbing for the last of what they have in order to make it harder for other people to ever come up again. Basically, just because you seem to have lost doesn’t mean you stop fighting for what is right. Don’t give up and resist. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

X is a dude btw…
  • X: So Star Wars got pushed back.
  • Me: I heard about that. I guess they're rewritting stuff because of fan reactions. You know what this means right?
  • X: What?
  • Me: Space Gays!
  • X: Oh, right Finn and Poe is a thing.
  • Me: And Kylo Ren with General Hux.
  • X: What?
  • Me: Yeah, its a thing.
  • X: That could explain so much! The reason Kylo turns to the dark side is that people in the resistance were homophobic and maybe the Jedi forbid gay marriage and then the audience would be conflicted over whether the resistance side is always morally superior and they won't know who to root for and then Kylo is stuck with that red haired guy who he hates and also secretly likes.
  • Me: …have you ever considered a career in feels crushing fanfiction?

Usually I am in a state of confusion whenever follower milestones occur - and tbh I still am in this case.

But at the same time, the idea that so many people find this blog enjoyable is a very nice thought on which to start the new year.

Thanks for everything this year guys, and here’s to a jolly good 2016!!

#SAMMY WILKINSON

Storyline: You were with your friends preparing to ask Sammy an autograph, and when he looked up, he fell for you.

“Sammy is definitely hotter in person, don’t you think so Y/N?” Your friend taps your shoulder and you look in the direction she was pointing.

“Yeah, of course.”

“What’s wrong?”

“What if he doesn’t notice us? I mean, you know?” You were getting nervous about meeting him, but you remembered how famous guys like girls who are calm and saint.

You looked at yourself, and smiled in satisfaction. This was absolutely the best outfit you could come up with. How could he resist right?

“Next in line,” the guard yells. It’s your turn, and somehow you managed to stay calm. Sammy was sitting in a pool chair beside other girls. He was sucking on a lollipop signing away pictures and papers without looking up.

“Hi, pretty girl. What can I get you?” He ask you without giving you one glance.

“Hey Sammy, could you sign this please?” You let your hand down and give a picture of him on stage. He takes the picture accidentally touching your hand. Now, he looked up.

“Woah,” he looks at you up and down with wide eyes before taking his sucker out of his mouth. “I apologize for the way I acted. What’s your name? Damn, you’re fine as hell. Shit-I’m sorry, inappropriate.”

“I’m Y/N, and thank you.”

“I can’t believe it, you’re so pretty. I could watch you all day if I could. Your eyes are so beautiful, I need to get your number.”

Your life was completed, you could die in peace now. Samuel Fucking Wilkinson just asked your number. Obviously, you gave it to him. You guys said your goodbyes, and you made your way out of the club.

Your inner self was screaming, but your outer self was quiet and calm, but she couldn’t stop smiling.

Ring Ring!

“Hello?”

“Okay. I wanted to see if it was really you.” You turn around and look at Sam from a far view holding his phone to his ear smiling in your direction. “I’ll text you, pretty girl.”

Your best friend was filming everything, and she couldn’t stop shaking at your place.
