i mean the shame

It’s okay to not know what you want to do with your life at this age. It’s okay to not know what career you want even after graduation. It’s okay to work odd jobs here and there whilst trying to figure out what you want to do in the meantime. Just relax, have trust that your innate passions will lead you to your path in its own due time. I really disagree with the idea that we absolutely have to have it together at this age, because that is far from reality for many of us. Trust me, I’m a social butterfly. I know. It is not a shameful thing, it means that you are versatile and have many open doors right in front of you.

When I say I want more fat acceptance I don’t mean I want to see more hourglass shaped, cellulite free white girls rocking 50s pinup style.

Give me fat people with different fat distribution. Give me fat people in bathing suits. Give me fat people with no sense of style. Give me fat people of color. Give me fat trans people and fat gender non-conforming people. Stop making one narrow body type of fat people the only ‘acceptable’ fat body. You’re all body acceptance or you’re not really body acceptance.

Someone give me seventeen-year-old Yakov Feltsman at the 1964 Olympics wearing bell-bottoms and a peasant shirt with a scarf around his head, hair cut into a moptop and skating to The Twist. He landed the first triple flip in competition and, in an interview, announced that his inspiration was the most beautiful girl he’d ever met, his girlfriend of three weeks Lilia Baranovskaya.

Yakov’s coach is banging his head against a wall somewhere just off camera.

Forty years later and Viktor Nikiforov, he of the fae-like looks and waist-length silver hair, wants to wear a bondage costume on the ice and Yakov can’t even tell him not to because when he tries Viktor starts screaming “COME ON BABY LET’S DO THE TWIST” and Yakov is immediately paralyzed with shame.

“I mean, really, you have no room to talk,” Lilia tells him, examining her nails as Viktor announces that he’s engaged to a skater he’s barely known for eight months. Who he’s still actively coaching.

Yuri shows up in his exhibition skate outfit and doesn’t even wait for Yakov to open his mouth before he’s holding up a picture–an actual printed picture where did he find it–in full color of Yakov on the podium at the 1964 Olympics.

“Bell bottoms, old man?” he says, flipping his hair as he skates onto the ice.

(Lilia frames the picture. It hangs in her office underneath a laminated poster reading “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it”)

Fill-a-Page February day 25!

Apparently today is a day for Keith feels. I’m still not particularly comfortable drawing his face or hair consistently, but I suppose that means I just have to draw a lot more Keiths - what a shame ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

What’s been going on in this house isn’t just some affair. No. No, it isn’t.

Lexa knelt for Clarke, without being asked, not for appearances or allegiances, just for Clarke’s sake. that shit right there? bottom action af.

…this???? her entire body language just screams bottom to me. that doesn’t take away from her being Heda and Commander, anything but - in my opinion, her being in such a position of power, and harsh power at that, only makes it more logical and rational that in her personal life, especially with something as exposing and intimate as sex, she’d be less in control. being Heda wasn’t a position she aspired to, it was something that was thrust at her, and she did rise to the occasion and beyond it. the way i see it, and the way it does appear in the canon, Lexa and Heda are two separate identities - Heda is who she is expected to be, the character she plays when she puts on the Helm of Awe and her sash and her war paint, and Lexa….Lexa is who she is. a young girl, unsure entirely of what she wants and what she can have with her difficult life situation, a girl who enjoys body glitter and night dresses and who cries when pretty girls kiss her, and a bottom (and a sub, too, but that’s another part that i won’t discuss here)

also, just in the Clexa dynamic, it fits. to me Clarke’s pretty obviously a top - it’s easy to see that she’d be wanting to have more of the control during sex, that she’d find pleasure in having Lexa completely surrendered to her, having her all spread out and maybe pinned down beneath her. i don’t see Lexa enjoying having Clarke surrendered to her; she conquers and forces people to surrender in her ‘day job’, when it’s time to relax i doubt she’d want to be reminded even a little of what she does otherwise, let alone doing anything like pinning down the woman she loves. it’s just not in her nature to be this ‘harsh rough top’ that parts of the fandom like to write her as, but then again this is my opinion and they’re entitled to theirs - in the end, it’s a matter of perspective.

but for more proof……..she tilts her head to allow Clarke easier access to her mouth. she’s leaning backwards, Clarke’s pushing forward, pushing her towards the bed - and Lexa lets her, because, deep down, she’s the bottomest bottom to ever bottom. she wants to worship Clarke, that much is obvious whether you think she’s a bottom or top, but, really….it’s easiest to worship a queen by offering your face to her as her throne, and, well…if Lexa’s on the bed and Clarke’s riding her face, it’s pretty obvious which one of the two is the bottom, don’t you think?

(in case it wasn’t clear, it’s Lexa. she’s a bottom.)

For real though, as anyone actually met a grown ass man who has shamed a woman for having her period? Because I sure as hell haven’t.

*Fat person does a thing*

Person: Excuse me, I hope you know fat people can’t do that.

Fat person: But I literally just did.

Person: Well you can’t.

Fat person: Cool.

The Hunger Games // Catching Fire // Mockingjay Part 2
And for the first time, I understand what he means. I want to do something, right here, right now, to shame them, to make them accountable, to show the Capitol that whatever they do or force us to do there is a part of every tribute they can’t own. That Rue was more than a piece in their Games. And so am I.
