Imagine studying for your finals with Remus. It would not just be the fact that he could explain difficult topics to you or that learning with a partner might be easier in general sometimes, but Remus would somehow always manage to calm you down. When you’d get stressed or just worry too much in general, Remus would take the time to pull you away from your textbooks, sitting you down on one of the couches in the common room with a cup of tea and some chocolate. He would tell you not worry, trying to help you relax a little. ”Look, Y/N, I know you are stressed but you need to know that there is no need for you to worry a bit. You made it this far and you are doing great. Wearing yourself down like that isn’t what you need right now. Your grades don’t tell anything about you and however your exams will turn out, I am incredibly proud of you” And even if sometimes you’d do an all-nighter in the library, guess who would be right beside you.
A/N: Back at it with more of the Chris Evans Mini-Series Spin-off! This is Part 1 of Chapter 4 which is called ‘Miss Graduate’. And as always, it’s just fluff, fluff, and more fluff. You can read the related mini-series and the previous parts here: (Mini-series - Masterlist; Mini-series Spin-off: ‘Unexpected Reader’, ‘Little Ways Away’, and 'She Said Yes’ - Masterlist) Enjoooooy 😁❤️
You stood in front of your mirror in your graduation cap and gown, smiling at yourself with great pride. You couldn’t believe it, the day was finally here. You’d made it through hell and high water, but you were finally graduating. You lifted your head to keep the welling tears in your eyes; you did not want to ruin your makeup before you even got to the ceremony.
Chris poked his head into your room and immediately smiled when he saw you. To say he was proud of his girl was an understatement, as he was more than just proud of you. He wished he could tell you what he thought, but there were simply no words to express how he felt seeing you in that graduation cap and gown. The feeling was mutual when you went to his Broadway debut, to his 'Avengers: Infinity War’ premieres, basically to anything that involved showcasing his undeniable talent. There was a sense of excitement, and pride, and adoration; just a huge mess of positive emotions. Now Chris wasn’t only feeling all that because you’d achieved something amazing, it was also because your graduation meant you were soon to move in with, and eventually marry him. Those two things were something he’d been dreaming of since he’d met and fell in-love with you; with his beautiful, talented, and perfect other half.
You spotted Chris in the mirror and smiled. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the door frame, “you look very dignified.” You chuckled as you turned, shooting him a quick wink. “You ready to go? 'Cause Ava is, she’s downstairs in the car with Seb.”
Yes, your best friend was graduating alongside you, top of her class whereas you came third in yours. Ava was a year younger than you, but you’d gone into university at the same time due to your gap year. You were glad to have taken that gap year, as you couldn’t have imagined doing that wild ride without her. She was like a substitute for your mom, who you were thick as thieves with. She reassured you, kept your grounded, read your work and gave you honest reviews, took care of you, and showered you with endless love and positive vibes. Ava was pretty much your sister from another mother, and your mother’s second daughter; she was your family. So as excited as you were to move in with Chris, it was going to be heartbreaking to leave the apartment you shared with Ava for three years. You were going to miss seeing her face every morning and every night, though she swore she was going to hang around your new home so much Chris would think she’d moved in too.
Speaking of Ava, her and Sebastian were now officially a couple- hence why he was attending the graduation ceremony. After that dinner at Chris’- where their obvious chemistry could not be ignored- they casually dated for a little while, doing a little bit of a long distance thing as Sebastian had to go back to New York after his shoot. But when he was in Los Angeles, or when he invited her to New York- they went on dinner dates and movie nights and short romantic getaways in and around Los Angeles and New York. It was always superbly romantic and Ava would always return home with a huge smile on her face. It was fairly obvious they both wanted something more, but were afraid to jump too quickly as they didn’t want to get hurt or hurt the other person. So they tested the waters, took things incredibly slow to see if things between them was something that could last them a lifetime. They were insufferable, but a little less than you and Chris were considering they were actually dating. Six months after their first proper date, they announced that they were officially a couple. Sebastian posted about her on Instagram, they trended on the World Wide Web, and you and Chris popped the champagne.
“Yeah, just give me a sec.” You walked over to the left side of your bed- the side where Chris usually slept when he slept over. “There’s something I want to give you before we go.” You took off your heels before you got on your hands and knees, searching under your bed for your secret box of secret things. Chris watched you curiously, pushing his weight off the door frame and onto his feet. “I’ve been working on it before you even knew I existed, I just didn’t know how I was going to give it to you.”
“You didn’t know how you were going to give something you’ve been hiding under the bed to the man who sleeps in said bed?” He teased and you chuckled, slipping your heels back on as you got back on your feet. “Oh God,” Chris chuckled when he saw what you had in your hand; a leather bound notebook in your favorite color- Tiffany&Co’s signature blue. You held it out for him to take, biting back your smile. “You’re going to make me cry like a fucking baby with this book, aren’t you?”
“Probably,” you nodded and he chuckled, smoothing one hand over the surface of the notebook. “I was going to save it until the night before our wedding, but um- I decided to stick with my original plan instead. You know, the one I had before I knew I was going to end up marrying my idol.” Another low chuckle escaped his throat. “And that was to somehow get it to you on my graduation day, so,” you beckoned your head at the book.
“I shouldn’t start reading it in the car, should I?” He asked.
“Not if you want to look pretty for the pictures,” you shook your head and he cracked a smile, nodding in acknowledgement. “You can read it whenever you want, but I can promise that a cry baby like yourself-” you teased him and he laughed, “you’ll cry when you read it.”
“I’ll save it for when I’m alone then,” he told you, setting the notebook down on the top of your dresser. You watched him as his hand remained on top of the notebook, eyes contemplating whether or not he wanted to read it now. He was curious and it was obvious, but he also took your warning fairly seriously; you were very good at making him cry with your writing. “Why’d you have to give it to me now?” He both groaned and chuckled simultaneously.
“Because I’m a sucker for cliffhangers,” you giggled, drawing a chuckle from him. “Now come on,” you took his hand and pulled him out of the room and away from the notebook. “We’re going to be late for the ceremony. Chris-” he abruptly pulled you back and into his arms, pressing his lips against yours. You felt a smile on his lips and one surface on your own as his hand moved onto your lower back, pressing your body against his. “And what was that for?” You asked when he broke the kiss, resting his forehead against yours.
“I am just so incredibly proud of you,” he told you and both your eyes welled with tears.
“Don’t start with me, Evans.” You chuckled and drew back slightly so you could tilt your head and stop yourself from crying; your makeup may have been waterproof, but there was no way it could survive the crying that came as a result of Chris’ touching words. “We said no crying until we got home, I want to look pretty for the pictures.”
“Lucky for you,” he gently swiped a tear that was rolling down your cheek, “you’re a beautiful cryer.” You chuckled then pecked his lips, brushing his bearded cheek with your thumb. “Okay, we should really go 'cause my pants just vibrated.” He patted the pocket where his phone was in, and you tried not to laugh as you teased him.
“Who knew a graduation gown could turn you on so much?”
“Oh God,” he threw his head back, bellowing with laughter. You giggled and pulled away from him, taking his hand and leading him towards the front door. “You know, you should really learn to be more like me and keep the bad jokes to yourself.”
“I should,” you glanced back at him with a smirk, “but where’s the fun in that?”

Chris and Sebastian moved to sit with yours and Ava’s families upon arrival, while the two of you went to join your respective classes. It was insane how many people were there, and how majority of them were as emotional as you were after your chancellor’s speech. The part of his speech that stuck with you the most was, “this is the end of your life as a student and the beginning of your life as a contributor to society. You no longer have your parents, your professors, or your student identity to fall back on. You are an adult now. You are responsible for every action you make, and every reaction you create. So do something extraordinary with your time on this earth, with your existence, and do not- for a second, let anyone or anything decide on your fate because this is your life. Stand up, because it’s time for all of you to set out and conquer the world.”
When applause erupted through the crowd of more than eight thousand people, you found yourself looking for Chris’ face in the sea of people. It was ridiculous because there was no way you would’ve spotted him from where you were, but you tried to anyway because he was the reason you were here and ready to do as your chancellor said.
Ava spotted you scanning the crowd then smiled when she caught your gaze, sharing a nod of pride and acknowledgement with you. Her smile widened when she saw your lips mouthing the words, “I am so proud of you.” To which she mouthed back, “I am so proud of you too,” causing your smile to reach your eyes. You kept your gazes on each other then turned away chuckling softly when you both realized you were making each other cry. You may not have spotted Chris, but you saw your best friend and she, too, was one of the reasons you’d made it. Without her and her constant support, you wouldn’t be sitting there and you sure as hell wouldn’t have believed you deserved to be with Chris.
When all was said and done, you pushed through the sea of students celebrating and crying with their friends and families so you could find yours and do the same. Ava found you before you could find her, throwing her arms around you to give a tight hug as she cried with utter joy. You hugged her back with the same tears of joy streaming down your face, laughing softly at your promise to not cry until you got home. “Congratulations, Ava.” You whispered before you pulled away. “You did it, you graduated.”
“So did you,” she chuckled, brushing her tears away. “And you’re finally getting the life I always knew you’d get, the one you always argued was impossible and unrealistic.” You chuckled when she poked your arm, smiling. “Look at this, I always knew we’d end up here.” She took your left hand and reminded you of the engagement ring Chris had slipped on almost three years ago. “I am so, so happy for you. You are going to do some extraordinary things with your life,” she gently squeezed your elbow, “I just know it.”
“You too, Ava,” you smiled, giving her elbow a gentle squeeze back. “And you are going to make the most beautiful bride one day.” She chuckled softly and dropped her gaze, hiding her reddening cheeks. “He’s going to ask, you know that right?” You tried not to smile when you remembered talking to Sebastian about his plans with your best friend; he was going to marry her, definitely, he was just waiting for the right time. To which you countered with, “there is never a right time, Seb. Just the right person, and Ava’s pretty freaking perfect for you.”
“Let’s focus on your engagement and your wedding first, we don’t want a Bride Wars situation to happen.” She joked and you laughed. “Though I doubt it would, I’d happily let you and Chris have whatever location and date you want.” You smiled and gave your best friend another tight hug.
“Are the two of you going to share that love? 'Cause we’d really like to get in some PG hugs and kisses before we bring you back to your families.” You heard Chris’ voice and smiled, releasing Ava from your arms to turn to your fiancé. “Congratulations, Ava,” he said to her as she walked past him to hug Sebastian. “For you, my love.” He held out a bouquet of red rose and you smiled, taking it from him before you buried yourself in his arms. “Congratulations, sweetheart. I am-” he chuckled to stop himself from crying, “I am so proud of you.”
“Thank you,” you looked up at him and smiled. “Now I’d tell you all about how I wouldn’t have pursued screen writing without you, and how I couldn’t have made it through the last three years without you, but-” you chuckled. “It’s in the notebook and I don’t want to spoil anything for you.” He chuckled, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “So I’ll just tell you this instead, though- I’m pretty sure you know this by now.” He nodded before you could say anything. “I love you, Chris Evans. More than I’ll love another being in this lifetime, more than I love Fan fic Chris, and more than I love myself.” He smiled and caressed your face in his hands, ready to dip his head to press his lips against yours. “And I am so ready to move in, marry, and spend the rest of my life with you.”

A/N: Part 5C! Holy crap, okay. So it’s 3:52AM, I just finished this and I cried like a baby. Well, I’m crying like a baby which is why I’m going to leave this here and do the links tomorrow. Enjoooooy! ❤️ (Also, I feel like strawberry Jell-O now.) You can read the related mini-series and the previous parts here: (Mini-series: ‘Perfect’ - Masterlist; Mini-series Spin-off: ‘Fated’ - Masterlist; Chapter 7: ‘Baby Steps’: Part 1/Part 2/Part 3A/3B/Part 4A/4B/4C/4D/Part 5A/5B)
The closer your contractions got, the more nervous you and Chris became. You were in a lot of pain so you tried to focus on that pain to distract yourself from the fact that you were about to have a baby. You channeled your writer’s mind, convincing yourself that this was an experience you could use to better your writing. You did things like that all the time, you found you coped better if you saw what you feared doing as an experience to help with your writing. The last time you went to the dentist, you told yourself you were a spy who’d been caught and was being tortured for information. Chris thought you were insane, but said if it worked to relieve you of your anxiety that came every time you had to go to the dentist that you should “do you, boo.” So now that you were having ridiculously painful contractions- which had become five minutes apart- you convinced yourself you were being stabbed so you could later utilize the pain to write something in the crime/thriller genre.
Chris couldn’t do what you were doing, he was too focused on you to think of anything else. You were in absolute agony, whimpering every time you had a contraction. It’d been three and a half hours of five minute apart contractions, yet still no progress. You wished it was easier, that after your water broke you’d just start pushing and a baby would pop out of you. Unfortunately, it was not; you were going to suffer for quite a while before your son arrived. Chris was glad your parents were around to keep the two of you company, but he really wished his mom was too. He glanced at his watch, it wouldn’t be long now. It was 11:56AM now, and her flight was arriving at 12:15PM. Your dad left for the airport half an hour ago to pick Lisa up for Chris as neither you nor Chris wanted him to leave your side. You needed him with you every step of the way, there was no way you were going to do anything without him.
“What do you need, sweetheart?” Chris asked, gently brushing away the tears that had rolled down your cheeks. You couldn’t take the pain anymore, your distraction was losing its effect because no story was worth what you were going through. “Do you want me to get you something from the vending machine? Do you want me to go get you a packet of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups?” He asked you and you nodded quickly, hoping chocolate would help subside some of the pain.
“Oh no,” your mom stopped Chris, “no. I don’t recommend eating while in labor, sweetheart. It’ll be dangerous if they have to end up putting you under, you could vomit and choke.” You frowned with a pout, and Chris gave your hand a light pat. “If you really need to eat something, you’ve got to keep it light. You shoulder only eat things that won’t make you feel worst than you already do, and we all know chocolate is not one of those things.”
“That’s true, baby,” Chris agreed with your mom, and you silently did too; you liked chocolate, but chocolate didn’t always like you. It wasn’t like you were allergic or intolerant, it was more of a psychological reaction because you preferred to clean eat and chocolate was part of clean eating. “You can have Reese’s after you have Jack, as a celebratory snack.”
“So what can I have?” You asked, then screwed your eyes shut as another contraction hit you. It wasn’t even just the contractions that caused you pain, it was everything; everything hurt at that point in time. “Other than ice chips because I’m sick of chewing ice chips,” you told them, taking another few deep breaths.
“I’m going to go see if I can get you some Jell-O,” your mom offered, patting the back of your hand. “Watch her and call Dr. McCullough if anything changes.” She told Chris and he nodded. “And don’t you try and convince him to get you that chocolate bar, young lady.” She told you before she took her leave because she knew the both of you all too well.
“She’s good,” Chris chuckled softly when he saw you roll your eyes. “But honestly,” he pulled your hand to his lips. “I don’t need much convincing, I would do anything for you right now.” You opened your mouth to ask for chocolate, only to get shot down. “Anything that doesn’t make you feel worst than you already do. How are you feeling?” He quizzed, lowering your hand back onto the bed.
“Conflicted,” you answered, pulling your hand away from his touch so you could wipe the tears from your eyes. “Like I want this to be over, but I don’t think I’m ready to have the baby.” You told him and he gave you a sympathetic smile. “Chris,” another fresh set of tears filled your eyes. “I don’t know if I can do this. I know I said I wouldn’t be like Pam, but-“ you started to cry, “I don’t think I can do this. It hurts so bad already, I don’t know if I can take anymore.”
“Hey, it’s okay.” He got off his chair and sat down next to you on the bed, wrapping an arm around you. “Everything’s going to be okay, I promise. Look-” he huffed. “I can’t promise you it won’t hurt because we both know it is, but I promise I’m going to be right here with you. Okay?” He waited for you to nod then kissed the top of your head. “I love you, sweetheart.” He whispered into your hair as you leaned into him.
“I love you too.”
Your mom came back with strawberry Jell-O about ten minutes later, and you ate that while you weren’t suffering from contractions. Around 1:24PM, your contractions became even closer at four minutes apart, and your dad arrived with Lisa. The rest of Chris’ family, and yours weren’t due until the 15th of March which was a Sunday, the day after Jack’s original birth date. They figured you were already panicky enough, you didn’t need a room full of people while you were trying to push a baby out of you.
The next few hours leading up to 4:14PM- when your cervix was finally dilated enough- your contractions progressed at a steady pace to the stage your doctor needed you to be at. Chris joked, saying “Jack must know I needed Mom here.” You managed a light laugh, then went back to freaking out because you knew you were about to start pushing. The nurses checked your pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, then strapped a monitor to your abdomen to check Jack’s heart rate. You and Chris couldn’t stop smiling when you heard Jack’s little heartbeat. As scared and nervous as the both of you were, you were excited to bring a little life into world.
Your delivery took about ninety minutes, and all ninety minutes was engulfed in immense pain. You cried, you screamed, you swore, and you squeezed the life out of Chris’ hand- but you did it, all without pooping on the table or having an episiotomy. Your afterbirth was fairly easy on you too, it took no less than five minutes. You’d read birth stories online about women having trouble with their placenta, and you were glad you weren’t one of them. But that it, you were done. You were no longer pregnant, you no longer had to suffer contractions or push because- Jack was here and you were a mom.
“Here’s your son, you two.”
Chris felt his heart skip a beat when Dr. McCullough held up Jack for the two of you to see. You were a little too distracted by the pain to zero in your blurry vision on your baby, but Chris saw him. Chris saw Jack; he covered in blood and gunk, but he was absolutely beautiful. You cried out of joy when Chris said, “you did it, he’s beautiful, baby” and kissed your forehead. The nurse quickly wiped your son’s face then bundled him up so he could meet his parents for the first time.
You were hesitant to take Jack at first because you’d never held a newborn before. He seemed so small and fragile, and you were afraid you’d hurt him. But Chris, and everyone else in the room assured you “babies are a lot stronger than they seem.” Chris sat beside you as the nurse carefully placed Jack into your arms, and the moment you held him- you understood why people wanted children, why you would gladly have a second in a heartbeat. Everything you’d been so afraid of faded and everything just fell into place. You were a mom, the baby in your arms was yours. You started to sob which worried Chris until he realized you were smiling. He wrapped an arm around you and kissed the top of your head, his other hand gently interacted with one of Jack’s.
Your son was beautiful with eyes as blue as Chris’; you had hoped they would be and you were glad they were. Now every parent believed their baby was the most beautiful baby they’d ever laid eyes on, but you knew for a fact that yours was. He was utter perfection and you couldn’t believe you were finally in your arms after nine months of waiting. Neither you nor Chris could stop smiling, or crying at the sight of Jack. He was real, it wasn’t just a vivid dream. You’d just had a baby boy, the two of you were parents.
“Hi,” you smiled at Jack, who you swore smiled back. Chris smiled, he smiled widely as he watched you interact with Jack. “We’re your mom and dad, we made you.” You started crying harder when you said that because it still seemed impossible that humans could make smaller humans. “And we will love you unconditionally and endlessly.” You whispered softly then kissed his tiny forehead.
“Just like I love you,” Chris said and you turned to him, smiling when he dipped his head and pecked your lips. “I am so proud of you, Y/N. You brought life into this world, you helped me become a father.” You pressed a kiss to his jawline then turned back to Jack when Chris’ gaze fell on him. “Welcome to the world, Jackson Christopher Evans.”
I am really happy with the turnout of my little Dragonite gif. Gosh, I find this so adorable, and am amazed that I managed to make something so cute. OKAY, so, far to say i definitely wasn’t expecting this, like, ever. i mean, being an OC blog i never expected to break even 500 followers – & yet, here you all are despite that! i feel truly, truly blessed to be able to say that i’ve met some of the most interesting & wonderful people thanks to this blog, & cultivated some of the most important friendships i’ve ever had. i hope, not only to meet more unique individuals to befriend but to continue getting to know all of you!
this blog, for me, has always been a way for me to keep my head above water in terms of my mental health. depression has been a constant in my life since before i even knew what roleplay was, & it has taken it’s toll again & again. i made this blog so that, on days when i felt like i couldn’t even get out of bed, i could at least turn my laptop on & read a thread or two i see on my dash, reply to someone’s post or ask them questions about their muses. even when i felt like i couldn’t do anything, i could always look back at sachiko, a character i am truly proud of, & feel a little more worthy of being here.
you have all, in one way or another, helped me grow as a person & writer, & i can only hope that i make following me & my silly daughter worth it for all of you lovely people.
thank you for making the place i come to feel a little less hopeless, a wonderful, warm & fun place to be. it is honestly all down to you, who light up my dashboard with your creativity & laughter.
Forever fave honestly this woman has really helped me through my personal life not from doing anything in particular but by being herself. Both Nicole and Kat have made me learn to love who I am and have brought so much happiness to my life. I have struggled with a lot this year and haven’t really had anyone to talk to about certain people or situations so watching WE just always made my week better! I know a lot of people don’t understand how an actress can impact your life but they do and this woman is a prime example in mine! Her strength and kindness from Nicole has influenced who I am and makes me want to be a better person! If I could ever meet Kat and tell her in person then I would never stop saying thank you!
