School is Cool 1: Ravenwood Leadership Opportunities

I got exhausted reading wiz fics that made it seem like learning magic is not the coolest thing ever so it got me thinking more about how Ravenwood could operate as a school and how learning magic is definitely among the coolest things ever.

*Everything is written in the context of my AU, because I’ve done some building about Ravenwood as a school before so this is kind of building up from that. Related links: How Students Get Sorted / Age Range of Students / Tier System, Quest Requirement, Basic Spellcasting

The Guardian Program

Ambrose has a student leadership program dubbed creatively as Guardian. Guardian was created in response to monster activity in the residential areas of Wizard City.

What the program entails is that each area of Wizard City has a group of student wizards in charge of its protection. The leader of the Guardians of that area must be at a minimum of Tier 4 (level 26+). They can have a committee of 3-5 members of various tier levels.

Wizards are given the opportunity to become lead guardian only by recommendation of their primary school teacher. If the student wants to go through with it, they can submit an application to Ambrose. The wizard tends to become the leader of an area that matches their primary school of magic (so a fire wizard will lead the guardians of Firecat Alley and an Ice wizard will lead the guardians of Collosus Boulevard).

kjdshjf i can't believe you think you draw girls w/diverse body types lmao

I clearly don’t…

You know, you can lmao at me as much as you like, but does it ever occure to you that I….don’t owe you anything? I don’t know you. And funny thing, you seem to not know me as well.

Maybe I am not that great at drawing super varied bodytypes, even though I actually try (you’re very welcome to lmao at me yet again). I TRY. Is it my fault that fandoms I’m in doesn’t seem to have enough diversity? Is it now a bad thing to follow the anime design? Oh. right.

Whenever I made my girls volleyball team ocs and had the chance to give them variety at bodytypes, because I had the freedom to do so, I did so. So what if I didn’t do it as well as you’d like me to? Why do you think I owe you the style or visualisation that YOU’d like to see? I draw for myself, if there are people who like it - it’s great! If there are those who don’t - also great! As long as you guys don’t bully me for not drawing the way you want me to.

I’m tired of this moral highness you guys seem to carry through every call out and anon message. It seems to be rolling past you that words have consequences. YOU DON’T KNOW me, once again. Nor my mental state, nor my backstory, nor nothing. It also seems to go past you that I *might* be as well another human being with own feelings just like you, and hey, what a great thing it is nowadays to be able to anonymously upset someone!

You ride your high horse of morality with all the “problematic” things I am doing or not doing, searching for them in everything and feeling so high moral, yet refuse for a second consider that you can talk privately with someone instead of writing vague passive agressive posts or messages. If you want to make a change - good arguments is your key.

Also, a food for thought. You never know when someone you write anon hate or make posts about can be depressed, and when something you said might be the last drop. Consider this.

As for me, no, I don’t have depression and I am pretty stable mentally, but for a future reference and more messages you might write to whoever, think first.

All best, sorry for the rant, I am just very exhausted and had to let it out.

Hi, 7goodangel. I am here to ask you about PaperJam as a shy, smol and innocent being (mainly thegreatrouge made him be). There has been some conflicts regarding his trait. Some said his canonical personality is a jerk, like what you wrote in his bio / info and some said that is severely wrong and being shy, (which made him shipped with Fresh), is his canonical personality. What are your thoughts about this? I mean, it is your character and people are taking control of it. Don't you disagree?

Well… I have talked to people and seen public conversations and this has happened several times to me over months. I guess I’ve gotten a little numb to it now… or maybe it’s due to school that I haven’t given it the attention that it deserves. Probably due to school.

I just can’t update constantly like others - even though some others in school were and are able to update constantly. I can’t keep going around and holding up my bio of PJ and police people. It’s exhausting to me… it really takes up the small bit of free time I have.

I think after I get a solid job that I’ll be able to go around better… but anyway - back to your question.

While I love seeing interpretations and do not want people to be limited by something and have their imaginations go forth… it’s proving that a huge con comes with that mentality - which you have pointed out. A lot of people swear that PJ is the cute, innocent interpretation that really, did get PJ popular in the first place. While I did have him as a jerk from the beginning - I kinda kept that info to my RP blog - so you could say it is my fault this is all happening and I do think that. I could of done something to make it not as bad as it is now…

It’s just like the NSFW stuff… people just assume the first thing and run with it. And it really does make me feel like I really am not needed for my own character at points.

It’s a struggle - I don’t want to have people stop interpreting PJ within AUs… but I also don’t want people to just see him as an innocent child to ship with Fresh.

And I’m still trying to find the best solution to it.

But… I feel like the damage is already done. It’s too late for me to talk to all of these people going around swearing on their life that PJ is canoncally like Rouge’s interpretation/AUs. It feels like an hopeless battle to me.

And I guess I needed someone to ask me this question so then I can fully say my thoughts on this.

So in short, while I love creativity and don’t want to snuff it out (considering some people would probably think I’m doing that already with saying “No Sin”), I still don’t like it. It irritates me, irks me, frustrates me, and I feel like even as the person who thought of PJ in the first place, my voice isn’t enough. Communities seem like they don’t care about artists unless they reach a ‘certain goal of popularity’ or seem like they have a more professional style of art. I know I do not reach either of those titles.

People misspell my username all the time - I actually claimed ‘7goodangle’ on tumblr for that reason.

People still say “I’m too lazy to find who made PJ” when they clearly mentioned they looked at the bio on the wiki.

People still go around arguing others on the canon ship of OmniPJ and swearing that FreshPaper is the true canon ship, when all people are pointing out is that they need to keep the canon ship in mind when going around with information.

Even just basic personality traits… and these things are happening on sites that I do not nor want an account for.

I still want others to have fun - to be happy; but I don’t know… I guess I’m cutting out my own happiness to get everyone else happy? I want to eventually write a version of PJ within his own universe and story… and he is more like the version I created within the UT verse. Not exact - but close. Though who knows… I might shove PJ to the side and replace his role with another character. I’m still weighing options.

Cause PJ was the first character I ever put this much time and thought into… my first character that was balanced, well rounded…

And what happens?

…well.

You said it Anon.

They took it - changed it (initially as an AU but now people think it’s canon) - and I can’t do much about it. Due to school and not much free-time… due to how many don’t know the true creator… and just back talking anyone who is just mentioning it to people who swear by it.

As an artist and a character designer…

It makes me not want to show designs, characters, and stories ever again online.

Considering if this is how I was treated on the first one… why even take a chance at a second one? If it has brought me so much stress, frustration, and time… why even try it again?

I said I was only going to do fanart so if anyone stole it, it didn’t really matter.
I think I should have stuck with that thought process.

In conclusion, there are some major things to take away here. First – that yes, I do not like how it has skewed this far to the point of arguing over a fandom version with the canon. Canon is canon and I get the different AUs – this is too far. Way too far. I am emotionally drained from this – from this whole mess that I have been defending throughout majority of PJ’s lifespan. I will state this – Paper Jam is my character. He is my original character that I created more than a year ago. And the UT AU fandom took my character and warped him to something he is not and all of his original meaning is lost. I do not like to hurt others or make other sad – but I must put my foot fully down. This miscommunication needs to stop. I am tired of repeating things over and over and I have past my breaking point time and time again. I just want people to see PJ how he really is… and I wish that people could be focusing more on the reality of him instead of the alternate that they all claim as truth.

Final words: I still like Undertale – I still like creating characters and having fun – but the Undertale AU fandom is ridiculous now. The Amino UT community is insanity in an app, and there is a lot of stuff that has made many artists and creators to their breaking point and leaving the fandom entirely. Everyone in this fandom needs to take ten steps back and look at what they are doing. Go back to the game. Play it again – watch your favorite let’s player’s videos of it again.

And just… food for thought… please don’t jump the gun on someone else’s OC’s personality and actions.

I do not want anyone to experience what I had.

Fill in the Blank Fanfic Comment

As @lastbluetardis and I have watched the replies to our survey on fanfic feedback, one number has jumped out at us.

Thirty-eight percent of you don’t reply because you don’t know what to say.

So, I’m here to help. There are three parts to a basic fanfic comment. Pick a line from each section, and you’ll have a comment that I guarantee will make any author smile.

1) Compliment “This was…” (Choose one.)

  1. So good!
  2. Great!
  3. Excellent!
  4. Brilliant!
  5. So sad!

You can stop here if you want. Honestly. Several of you indicated that this doesn’t feel like enough, or that saying the same thing on multiple chapters of a story feels silly. I have regular readers who leave variations of, “I loved it!” on every single thing I write, including updates of my multi-chapter works, and can I tell you how much I love them? Because I know they are reading with me every time, and I know they loved it every time.

If you want to go beyond the compliment, you can add:

2) Emotional reaction “It made me…”

  1. Laugh
  2. Cry
  3. Flail
  4. Swoon

That’s a good spot to mention a moment in the story, if you want. “It made me swoon when they kissed for the first time.” “I cried when the Doctor told Rose about Gallifrey.” etc.

3) Closing sentiment

  1. Thank you for sharing.
  2. This made me smile.
  3. I can’t wait to read more.

If you choose an option from each section, you might get something like, “This was excellent! I flailed when he finally admitted he was the one sending her secret admirer notes. Thanks for sharing!” That’s a comment that will put a smile on any author’s face.

And because I know some of you are sceptical, here are a few posts with lots of notes that say the same thing: post post post post post post

We happen to be at the beginning of Fandom Fic Rec Days right now, which gives you an excellent chance to practice your new skills. Go find a fic you loved and post the link, along with a comment based on this template that tells people why they should read it. “This story is brilliant. The author made me cry when they wrote about the Doctor seeing Rose again during End of Time. You should go read it!”

Post-Blackout

The blackout is coming to an end today…and I have a few things to share. What it showed me- and realizing how bad the reposting issue has become.

During these two weeks I’ve witnessed a few cases:

-I’ve seen my art been being reposted without permission, mostly with ‘credit to the artist™’ or nothing at all on insta/vk/etc.

-I’ve seen my newer drawings with my new watermark being cropped from the picture with the same careless credit

-Someone even attempted to blur the whole thing and leaving a weird stain where the watermark should be (saved it before reporting just in case)

-Also youtubers have been monetizing my work without my knowledge. In some cases, they assumed that when I gave them permission to dub one of my comics, that it extended to having permission to upload other works of mine. An assumption that was completely wrong. So not only was I not informed that they were using more of my work, but they monetized it and gained money from my work. I no longer allow dubbing on my comic anymore because of it.

-Recently, I asked another youtuber to remove a dub they did long ago on one of my comics, and while they eventually removed it from their channel, it didn’t stop them from giving permission to other youtubers to repost MY ART. And while it was their dub, the foundation of that work was my art. No one can give others permission to use my art other than me. However just 4 days after that video was removed, it was reposted onto another channel and monetized. All this I had to find out from people telling me.

-And even worse—yes, it can get worse—yesterday I found out that one of the drawings I made for Adrienette month was being sold on phone cases on Aliexpress.

I never thought *this* will happen to me. Why would someone…do that? Why would someone make money out of our hard work while we create for fun to a fandom we love on our free time?

To be honest, after seeing this—I wanted to quit drawing for the fandom.

But I won’t.

As much as it hurts, the fact that there are people who don’t give a damn about the artist’s wishes and care more about their fat pocket—it won’t mean anything to them. For them I’m *just* another artist–it won’t hurt them losing another one.

I draw ml because I love the characters and the fandom. It makes me happy to see that I can make someone’s day a little better because of my drawings. I made friends through this fandom that became part of my everyday life and to be honest, they boosted my confidence. ML revived my dream again to study animation, it made me want to draw more and brought back the will to learn and improve. I have so many good things to say about the show, the people I encounter- you really changed my life, and I love you all!

And I don’t want this to end because of some nasty people who care more about their following count or the money they can make from a stolen illustration or a silly comic.

I’m just going to continue arting but not share everything…and make the watermark bigger.

So for other artists out there, I just want to share this information. This is just a drop of the ocean of what I have experienced in my short time of posting fanart online. As exciting as it is to have people dubbing your work or asking for permission to share your art on other platforms.

HAVE CAUTION!

Ask questions, ask for links to their pages, look at how they conduct themselves online, check to see if they monetize videos (you can use apps like the heartbeat app to do this as some youtubers like to not share this information), give proper credit/link to your original posts, etc. Some people are looking to use you and use your art for fame, for money, for whatever, and its abuse. It abuses your copyright and hard work. This is something I do because I love art, I love the show, and I want to share that love with others. It is NOT something I create for others to take advantage of or steal…or sell, or to stick an advert on in order to make money.

Any active and non-bitter non-salty johnlockers out there?

I love johnlock

I hate all the angry bitter fixation on mocking s4 or moftiss. I get it. You don’t like it. But when can you move on from the negativity and get back to being positive, fun, active, headcanon-sharing, johnlock squeeing type of fan again?

Because to be honest, to me, THAT was what made the johnlock fandom so much fun. It was hyperactive, unadulterated indulgence and joy about johnlock between fans.

It was squeeing over johnlock fluff, crying over johnlock angst, horny-ing up over johnlock smut, indulging in various “what if” scenarios or cracky AUs. This was what made the johnlock ship so AWESOME to me, because with all that, the long years of hiatus didn’t feel so long anymore.

That’s why johnlock was so much fun. All that positive energy and fan sharing was what made it FUN.

Not this constant whining or moffat hate or gatiss bashing or repetitive negative saltiness that’s wrongly described as “funny”.

I want the fun johnlock fandom back. So please, if you love johnlock and you ARE NOT salty/whiny/bitter/angry, then please reblog

Trans Marco being “canon”

This episode didn’t involve Marco coming out as trans in any explicit way, so it’s hard to say it’s fully “canon” yet. What we DO know from this episode, though, is that Marco is undeniably coded as a closeted trans girl. So from that perspective, it’s canon; that’s definitely the writers’ intention. Marco is written as a closeted trans girl, as well as she can be given this is a disney kids show.

You can’t just brush off the trans marco theory as some headcanon that doesn’t affect you anymore, because really at this point it’s a fairly essential part to marco’s character. People haven’t been noticing this, because the notion that Marco is a girl is so polarizing anyways, like it’s some argument that has to be made when it’s pretty clearly there.

You could say we’re all looking too much into it, but really, much of the staff has experience with writing LGBTQ characters and themes, even within the show.

And here’s the thing, though: I trust the svtfoe crew to write LGBTQ themes into the episodes more than I trust most of the fandom to pick up on them.

i can't believe it's 2017 and i'm back watching south park like i'm 14 again for a canon (canon!!!) gay ship, damn. (a canon gay ship on south park!!!!!!!!!!!!)

there are a few things about this i really can’t get over:

• when i think of showrunners discovering fandom and shipping, a lot of time i think of shows like supernatural or teen wolf, where the cast and crew turn into this living embodiment of the Lenny Face for a year-plus, like “oh ANYTHING could happen wink wonk we aren’t afraid to Go There” before getting tired because they made the mistake of engaging a desperately starving beast by talking about its favorite food and WHO KNOWS, tomorrow it could be filet mignon for dinner!! but then it’s just bland overcooked, underseasoned white rice. again.
• and of all the shows in the world, all the ships in the world, South Park becomes aware that people on the Internet ship two boys and instead of doing the overplayed above, and instead of being like NO ONE IS SAFE FUCK U (which–let’s be real here–we were all expecting) they were like “hey please send us your fanart of this ship so we can feature it in a loving tribute to these fans and then make them a canon couple”
• and we continue to get content for them!! and they continue to be the only couple on the show that talks through their problems and they are sweet and after the first episode, none of their storylines have been “gay” storylines
• just two dumb kids in love trying to figure their shit out as they start to grow up and experience feelings for the first time
• fucking!!! SOUTH PARK!!! south park!
• what fucking bizarro timeline are we even living in

In Defense of Maggie Sawyer

@danvers-dimples said: I need your help. My sister is NOT a Maggie fan. She especially doesn’t like the “you get one” line, she found it too harsh. She finds Maggie herself too unfeeling. I completely disagree to be clear. Anyway could you write some good points for me to show my sister on why she’s wrong and Maggie is in fact a pure being, gifted to us from the Gods. Please.

Hey kids, it’s your friendly neighborhood Maggie Sawyer stan finally here to type up a way too detailed analytical post regarding two of the biggest misplaced criticisms of Maggie. I hope you don’t mind me bouncing off of your ask for this, but it presented me with the opportunity to do one of my absolute favorite things: defend unjustifiably hated female characters that I adore in a manner much too extra for fandom purposes. I’ll be taking a look at the most revealing aspects of Maggie’s character as they’ve been presented thus far, getting a little meta about her role within the show overall, and doing my best to explain away some of the popular misunderstandings of Maggie as a character, with particular emphasis on the differences between “Unfeeling” vs “Emotionally Reserved”, and “Harsh” vs “Honest”. Obvious disclaimer: this is quite long.

“Unfeeling” vs “Emotionally Reserved”:

From what I’ve seen, one of the biggest and most frustrating misinterpretations of Maggie’s character is the twisting of her emotional reservation into coldness. This one surprises me every time I encounter it, if I’m honest, if only because “unfeeling” is one of the absolute last words I’d use to ever describe Maggie for a multitude of reasons.

You know one of the good things coming from the live action movie is how the fandom seems to have come back to life.

I mean, just now I’ve checked the fandomatrics and in the anime and manga segment, Death Note is fourth place on tumblr.( I think this is the first time it’s made the list)

It shows how all it took to reunite the fandom once again was an average to bad movie adaptation.

Now I can only hope that everyone will not just leave in like a few weeks again. It’s nice to see Death Note content on my dash.

Wow, I just hit 100 followers today!! thank you guys so much!! to celebrate here I am dancing to Bing Bang!! (ft. my cat Oreo)

Prompt: “I have stabbed people with these heels before and I’m not afraid to do it again, so I would suggest not pissing me off.” (X)
Fandom: Shadowhunters
Pairing: Reader x Raphael Santiago
Word Count: 624

“Why the hell did you drag me along? I told you before Clary, I hate vampires. Especially the ones that are named Raphael Santiago.” You mumbled as you walked behind her and Simon, annoyed because you had to go to the vampires lair with her and her vampire best friend. Out of all the things you had encountered, vampires were the ones you hated the most. Their fast speed made them unpredictable, even for a skilled Shadowhunter like yourself. But besides that, vampires were always snarky and annoying, something you hated about them the most.

Out of the vampires you had encountered, Raphael Santiago was the worst. Sure, for a dead guy he was extremely good-looking. Unfortunately, his attitude wasn’t. He was always dripping with sarcasm which annoyed you the most, especially since you lived with a bunch of Shadowhunters who were sarcastic as hell.

“He isn’t that bad.” Simon answered as you rolled your eyes. Of course Simon would protect him. The two vampires had a sibling bond which you found quite odd. How could someone have that kind of a bond with Raphael Santiago out of all people? Or in this case, out of all vampires.

“Have you met this guy?” You asked as the three of you walked over to the front door of the hotel they were residing in. Clary and Simon stopped, debating over whether they should knock or just walk in. Rolling your eyes you began to kick down the door when it flew open, making you almost fall into the arms of the one vampire you hated: Raphael Santiago. Luckily, you managed to gain your balance as you stood extremely close to him before clearing your throat and taking a step back.

“Were you just planning on kicking down my front door?”

“Why exactly would I want to work together with a bunch of werewolves and Shadowhunters? Especially with the ones who wanted to kick down my front door.” He said, looking straight at you with a smirk on his face. You rolled your eyes as you turned to him, crossing your arms.

“Are we still talking about this? We said we’re sorry.” You mumbled before Simon raised his finger, pointing at himself.

“Actually, I said it. You just nodded.” He added as you let out a sigh.

“Which means that I agreed. Can we move past this now, please?” You remarked as you glanced at Clary who was beginning to grow impatient.

“Look, we’re here for the same reason: we all want the cup. I mean, we are all pretty screwed if Valentine finds it first.” She said as you nodded, looking over to Raphael as you waited for his answer.

“No.” He stated confidently. You raised your eyebrow as you glanced at Clary and Simon, seeing them just as confused as you were.

“What do you mean ‘no’?” You asked. He simply sighed as he stood up from the couch he was sitting on.

“I mean no. If you want someone to help you, ask the dogs or the fairies.” He simply said as he passed the three of you, wanting to leave the room.

You moved in front of him, blocking his way out of the room. He stopped, looking at you with an annoyed expression.

“Move.” Raphael simply said as you let out of a chuckle, taking a step closer to him as you stared deeply into his eyes.

“Listen closely, bloodsucker. I have stabbed people with these heels before and I’m not afraid to do it again, so I would suggest not pissing me off.” For a moment Raphael seemed stunned before letting out a chuckle and turning himself towards Clary and Simon.

“Did she just really threaten me with her heels?”

Today is the day (Savitar x Reader)

This is part three of You can be a queen.

This is going to be in a different POV cause reasons!

Warnings: Death, ending might make you mad, yeah that’s it.

Masterlist

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3

It’s today. The day that Iris is going to die.

Barry was off getting what they needed to trap Savitar in the Speed Force. Iris and her dad were away on Earth Two with Harry, hoping Savitar wouldn’t know to look there. Barry didn’t know where they were, so Savitar didn’t. Hopefully.

After Cisco got disconnected with Barry while getting the thing they need, everyone was waiting around for Barry to show back up.

He ran in a little later in his Flash suit.

“We got what we need. Where’s Iris?” He asked. Before anyone could stop him HR answered the question.

“Safely stored away  on Earth Two with Harry Wells.”

Savitar turned to the group.

“Great.”

Iris was taken by Savitar.

HR felt responsible. So he made a plan.

Joe thought he was going to lose his daughter. So he made a plan.

(Y/N) was doing everything to help. So she worked harder than ever.

Barry was worried beyond belief. So he paced back and forth.

Everyone else was desperate to get the Speed Force Bazooka to work.

This was it. Everyone was at Infantino Street, awaiting Savitars arrival with Iris.

“Flash, this is it. Now the moment is upon us, my assentation to become a god,” Savitar spoke in his menacing voice.

“Not tonight,” Barry said eyeing Iris.

“Show me you’re the hero,” Savitar threw Iris to the ground, “Let’s see what happens.”

“I’m gonna stop you.” And Barry took off grabbing the Speed Force Bazooka.

He shot Savitar, but it didn’t seem to effect him at all. If anything it made him stronger.

“I spent a eternity in a trap just like that. You don’t think I know how to prevent it from happening again?”

“The Philosophers stone. Savitar stop!” (Y/N) yelled running up to be at Barry’s side.

“Guys! Joe!” Barry shouted.

“You stuck me in the speed force for an eternity of hell! Now well come to yours.”

“No. Don’t do this.”

“Please,” (Y/N) pleaded.

“Now finally I am free of you,” Savitar raised his hand to Iris’ back.

“Barry,” she cried.

“I’m begging you!” Barry yelled.

“You loose Barry,” Savitar almost laughed, stabbing through Iris’ back.

“NO!” Barry screams running at full speed to stop Iris from dying.

Savitar ran off leaving Barry to catch Iris’ body.

“No, no, no, no. Come on. Please,” Barry was pleading while holding the lifeless body of Iris West.

She gasped a little a moved her head up.

“I’m sorry Barry. I needed to make up for what I did,” the words coming out of Iris’ mouth didn’t make any sense.

“What? (Y/N)! Get over here, please try and help her!” Barry yelled behind him but (Y/N) wasn’t there.

“Can’t help her,” Iris coughed, “if she’s the one dying.”

“What are you talking about?”

Iris dug in her pocket and took out the device HR uses to change how he looks. She held it up to her face and Iris, turned into the face and body of (Y/N).

“I couldn’t live and let Iris die knowing that you think I betrayed you.”

“We don’t think that! We love you.”

“That’s nice to hear.”

Another whoosh of speed and lightning brought Saviar to (Y/N)s side.

“What did you do?” Savitar must have gotten the memory of (Y/N) dying.

“Guess I can die knowing that Barry will be happy with Iris. Sorry Savitar,” she coughed, “but this time, you are the loser.”

And that was the end.

The end of everything.

Everyone lost something the day that (Y/N) died.

But no one thought what she did was selfish. No one thought that she did it just because she felt guilty about Iris dying. Everyone knew that she would have done it for any one of them. And that’s what made the situation worse.

Savitar was no longer a threat.

All because of a selfless girl, and a device that lead to her doom.

EPILOUGE

Life went on, well as much as it could.

Until that fateful day. The day when the breech opened up again.

“Hi! I’m (Y/N) (Y/L/N) a speedster from Earth 7. I need your help.”

Real shit. Let’s talk.

• I really have been vague with the real reason I left the Undertale fandom. I don’t think simply lying and saying I lost interest in it is enough.

I was debating on even typing this whole thing out. I’ll spare you to commentary on how I even got into the fandom in the first place. This is more just.. what I put myself through just because I wanted to get noticed.

When I made Lucid, he was a late night laugh concept where me and a friend were throwing around ideas at bloody 3 am and tired as hell.

I posted him for shits and giggles a few weeks passed and my friend suggested submitting him to Rouge. That’s where all of this started.

By me simply submitting a concept to someone that was so well known in Undertale at the time. With all the overwhelming positive response to him even being noticed by Jakei and Joku it felt like so much pressure on my part.

Please, never push yourself to development of a character just because people know them. After that point it became an unhealthy time in my life where all I cared about was getting this character known. In hopes of some sort of Fame which is something you should never do to yourself. Yes even if that was a horrible time for me I made friends in that fandom who I still talk to today. I got to talk to Neko, Jakei , Rouge etc people who I really looked up too. Wanting feedback and advice was one thing but wanting constant attention for a character is bloody sad and stupid.

I needed to get my shit together, I realized what that had done to my mental health last year and I finally pulled myself out of it. I still like the game itself but after what I put myself through I can’t go back to the fandom because I fear that I’ll do this again.

The lesson in this all is… Don’t make the same mistake as I did, not just in the Undertale fandom but in any fandom.

Don’t be toxic to yourself just because you want your character to be known and become popular… To the point where you sabotage your own mental health and social life.

You can simply write this as me being a dumb ass but I just needed to finally confess this.

Thank you for your time. •

About rochu, and hetalia

Lately I’ve seen many hetalia blogs that have gone on hiatus, and its scaring me.

I love hetalia, its made me smile and laugh as well as many others. But that’s just it, there are so many artists out there that have contributed to hetalia and its always brought me joy, even some of the ships I don’t particularly like.

But I’m scared. Because people are saying that hetalia, as a fandom, is dying. And I don’t want that, I don’t want to see the thing that made me feel alive again, disappear……

I just want to know what’s happening.. Why blogs are dying out, why ships are sinking, why I can’t seem to find happiness as easily as I used to.

Please like or reblog if you post anything hetalia related, please!
