I just want to say, this art is not my own. I don’t claim to have drawn it, I just wanted to share its brilliance. I am unaware of the artist, but their signature is still on every piece. I do not mean for this to get me publicity, I just mean to share it because it’s quite honestly beautiful.
Much Ado About Nothing is probably my favorite Shakespeare play, so I wanted to combine Billie’s version with David’s version! Billie was a great Hero, I liked that she didn’t really get back together with Claudio in the end, but I think she’d make a great Beatrice, too!
Behind the scenes of The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit (Part 1)
Excerpts from director James Strong’s “Director’s Diary” (DWM #372)
It’s our last night in the quarry, and we hang David off a cliff to represent him abseiling into the pit… We had him about 20 feet in the air, with wires and a safety harness attached to his chest, which made him really uncomfortable, but the effect is incredible. I love this scene - such a beautiful, sad, brave moment, as the Doctor unclips himself and hints of his feelings for Rose, before falling into the abyss. Now David hangs some 100 feet in the air, off the side of the quarry wall, and we just manage to get the shot before we fracture any of David’s ribs.
[Shooting with David & Billie on the TARDIS set] - We do the scene where they’re reunited, and you’d have to be a Cyberman to not be touched by their genuine affection for each other. I didn’t know it then, but this is the last scene that Billie Piper shoots on Doctor Who. What a truly special and proper way to end such an amazing journey. Russell, Phil, and the entire production team gather for the final shots. … Tears and champagne all around! It’s a wrap!

The Christmas Invasion - Behind the Scenes [Part 4]
Excerpt from Benjamin Cook’s articles in Doctor Who Magazine #365
David Tennant is getting his first peek inside the TARDIS wardrobe. It’s actually the TARDIS control room - here, as always, in a warehouse in Newport - redressed with racks of clothes, a whole load of accessories and some tailor’s mannequins. Oh, and a Doctor Who scarf that Phil Collinson’s gran knitted when he was six! It all looks fab.
“Lots of frocks, aren’t there?” says David, gazing around in delight.
Maybe the Doctor was once a transvestite?
“Yes, somewhere in between his Sixth and Seventh incarnations,” he deadpans, pointing at a mannequin in a bright pink shell suit. “Ooh, I like that. That’s what the Eleventh Doctor will wear!”
Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Tomorrow, David will record his ‘rifling through clothes and choosing his new costume’ scene, which is, for those in the know, a bit of a regeneration story tradition.
