A quick 5km run through the neighbourhood with Daughter after work in warm windy conditions. I couldn’t get MMR going then my music wouldn’t go. While I messed about with it in the driveway Daughter was off and running. She was a good half a block ahead of me by the time I got my act together. I slowly reeled her in pushing the pace all the way. I caught her on the homeward leg about 2.5km from home and I just kept on going. It was fun. In other running news I have been trying to start a running group at work without much success. So I have decided to take tiny steps and get my colleagues out of the office and walking at lunchtime. Today I took a small group to the gardens where they found I was the slowest walker in the group due to my love of flowers and photographing them. We saw a Kereru sitting high in a tree and some of my colleagues even hugged a huge tree we came across. It was a lovely day for a walk in the gardens and I am hoping my colleagues will continue to join me on my lunchtime adventures.
