i love ur enthusiasim for school it's the best thing
I LOVE SCHOOL SO MUCH,,,LISTEN,,, i LOVE IT WITH ALL MY HEART and when i got into my uni i cried a bunch bc i was so excited,,, i’m going to my Dream School studying something i love and have been there for 3 years and it’s excellent
also: the past year and a half i’ve had a tON of health issues and a visit from some Severe Anxiety that’s made it impossible for me to really enjoy school and succeed (i did 90% of my school work and stuff online last year through help from my profs and had to drop a bunch of classes) but THIS YEAR i have more of a plan in place and know how to approach it better after taking some time off (and am working things out with my faculty and some other kindly & helpful folk) and i’m very VERY excited to get back to being able to do cool academics stuff, like writing papers, and LISTENING TO MY COOL ASS PROFS talk abt what they love, and learning cool fun facts that i can annoy my friends and family with at all times
i’m in my 4th year (technically 3.5th bc of last year’s mess) so i’ve managed to get into ALL SWEET SWEET COURSES that focus on stuff that i love (like french…….linguistics…….spANISH holy CANNOLI I’M SO PUMPED) and I’ve got some cool profs and i’m extremely excited
basically: i love school and i haven’t been able to enjoy it for like a year and a half and now i get to go back and do some GREAT FUN STUFF and i’m thrilled
negative reviews about power rangers hurt my feelings personally and then i look and see it was written by a white dude and i know he’s just mad that it wasn’t a story all about white people, so with that in mind, here’s a list of why white nerdboys hate this movie and why you should go see it!! mild spoilers!!
only one white ranger (jason, red), and while he’s the leader, his screentime was not significantly greater than his teammates, nor was his background the most fleshed out. he also suffers real consequences for his poor choices instead of being let off with a slap on the wrist.
half indian ranger (kimberly, pink) who makes a very bad choice that is very cruel, who is not coddled. she is told that her choice was bad, point blank, but that she can still be a good person. reformed mean girl!!! and she’s not a white blonde!!!
mexican ranger (trini, yellow) who is LGBT (we don’t know if she’s bi or a lesbian but i’m guessing she’s a lesbian).
chinese ranger (zack, black) who is bilingual, showing the struggles and pressures of a kid who is responsible for caring for a single parent who is sick and struggles financially.
black ranger (billy, blue) who is autistic, and actually says the words “i’m on the spectrum” in the film instead of dancing around it. is the heart and soul of the team, his friends treat him completely normally.
NO ROMANCE!!!! there are slight hints but seeing as the events of the film span roughly two weeks, the film is all about friendship and sacrifice and acceptance, not about teen love.
i’m dead serious go see this goddamn movie i cried like ten times and was absolutely amazed by how they took this cheesy little show from the 90s and gave it so much heart and love.
This is what my YouTube channel looks like with YouTube’s new restricted mode, which has unfairly targeted some LGBTQ content for being “sensitive material.”
21 of my 43 videos disappear.
In case you missed it: YouTube says it “wrongly” filtered out a ton of LGBTQ-related videos in a recent update to its Restricted Mode feature. This has affected virtually every queer YouTube creator from @tyleroakley to @everyoneisgay to little ole’ me. So, if you watch my YouTube videos in Restricted Mode, the videos above with an X through them aren’t available.
Oh, and YouTube’s statement about the whole thing just sucks:
“We are so proud to represent LGBTQ+ voices on our platform – they’re a key part of what YouTube is all about. The intention of Restricted Mode is to filter out mature content for the tiny subset of users who want a more limited experience. LGBTQ+ videos are available in Restricted Mode, but videos that discuss more sensitive issues may not be. We regret any confusion this has caused and are looking into your concerns. We appreciate your feedback and passion for making YouTube such an inclusive, diverse, and vibrant community.”
So under that logic, the “more sensitive issues” that aren’t suitable for a “tiny subset of users” (like, say, a teenager with unsupportive parents who’s trying to get online from a school library where PORN IS ALREADY BLOCKED) include:
A discussion with my 90-year-old grandmother about how she eventually accepted having a gay grandkid
A crowd-sourced glossary of the differences between bisexuality and pansexuality
A silly video with my fiancée where we write down things we love about each other
A collaboration focusing on the experiences of queer people of faith
And a lot more. I’m livid. Queer YouTube means so much to so many people. For millions of LGBTQ people (especially youth) whose rights are under attack, YouTube creators and viewers have built a community of resources that you just cannot find elsewhere. This is a mean and senseless kick when we’re already down. And we’re not going to shut up about it.

do u ever think about how calliope lived exclusively in a 100ft radius her whole life in a bleak shitty room on a bleak shitty planet with a gross red sun and a stupid asshole brother who is probably like 90% of the reason she hated herself so much and an uncomfortable hard sarcophagus bed and now she’s living in the lap of luxury as a queen in a palace full of bright colors and probably gets to sleep in a really massive royal bed next to the love of her life and she finally loves herself and is happy
Some #Zelda#BreathoftheWild cooking fanart! I couldn’t choose between Link’s Hylian Tunic or the Champion one…so I illustrated both!
I am LOVING this game, and I’m sure you know exactly how I feel. I’ve been incredibly busy with school and art things to play too much, but in my downtime at night I’ve been playing bits and pieces. I have about 50 shrines, 90 korok seeds, and have only defeated 1 Divine Beast! I’ve been having fun just wandering around and exploring all the areas before I really want to tackle the main quests. The only reason I completed the Zora area was because…I mean how could you say no to helping Prince Sidon?
