So this just popped into my head and I had to get it out
What if the Scotsman’s wife is dead?
I keep seeing people going “oh I know the Scotsman’s wife could totally beat Aku with her eyes closed” and all, and what if the only reason she isn’t doing that is that she’s dead and gone?
I can see that aging the Scotsman by quite a bit, although he’s a strong guy and he’s learned to accept it. But he misses her. A lot.
And maybe something happens to him next episode. Like, he gets mortally wounded like everyone’s speculating. Jack wants to help him somehow, but the Scotsman knows it’s his time. But he’s smiling as he dies, because he’ll finally get to be with his wife again.
And Jack, the poor boy, he’s lost people before but one of his closest friends is dying right in front of him and he can’t do anything to stop it. The Scotsman tries to tell him to stay strong and to keep going, but it hits Jack (if it hasn’t already) that this is just going to keep happening. Maybe he’s already realized it, and that’s why he’s been so distant from everyone and everything.
And I just don’t know how he’s going to deal with that.
“Mr. Moore, who’d been sitting in the corner with a big glass pitcher full of martinis what he’d mixed for himself, let out a big groan at that.”
Look, I’m not sure this means what I think it means, but all I can imagine is John with a big ass jug of martini (he probably had a glass, but drinking straight out of the pitcher is much more fun to imagine).
I love that it says that he mixed it all for himself. The man’s getting drunk as fuck and he’s not sharing.
