i love josh!

anonymous asked:

okay so now that you've seen all of them and hashtag love them all, what is your Official Ranking of the pierres?

OKAY, ANON I spent a longer time on this then I probably should have and I’m kind of embarrassed about how short it is after all the time I spent thinking about it.

The problem with loving all Pierres is that it’s hard to decide how and why to elevate a certain performance above another. There is SO MUCH going on in this show and with this character in particular that there are a million ways for an actor to shine or to give a particular interpretation that knocks my socks off. So, here is my scientific analysis* of all the Pierres I’ve seen, complete with conclusions.

*Not actually very scientific

WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THEM

my fave parts in beauty and the beast:

  • gaston dragging agathe in front of the whole town and then just going like ‘no offense agathe’
  • when lefou asked gaston whether he seriously wanted to be part of belle’s family
  • “is that fair?” - “i don’t care”
  • when gaston told belle that she just had to find the right man and she was all like ‘it’s a small village i’ve met everyone’ like what kind of savage
  • “BE FREE!” iconic
  • lefou spelling gaston’s name
  • beast dragging belle for her taste in shakespeare
  • belle holding back tears when she’s in the library for the first time honestly same
  • lefou’s smile upon realizing that maurice was still alive
  • “there’s a beast running wild, there’s no question, but i fear the wrong monster’s released”
  • maestro cadenza going “ouch” when gaston ditches lefou
  • when chip apologized to maurice for moving and maurice was just like ‘it’s alright’ and then he fucking bolted
  • luke evans singing
  • EVERMORE
  • “too much?” - “…yep”
  • belle teaching that little girl how to read
  • “i didn’t think she would say yes!”
  • when everyone was changed back

I love how Josh Keaton and Steven Yeun are polar opposites in the Voltron crew.

Josh immediately embraced the show and the fans, loves the #SpaceDad memes and aesthetic, literally makes tweets that say things like “Space Dad wants you to be happy :)”, wears Voltron gear all the time, tweets about it constantly, interacts with fans and is in the know on fandom memes, makes vines and videos related to Voltron, takes group pics with the other cast members at any opportunity, is super into fanart and fan work, and is omnipresent even in times of Discourse.

Steven is the cast Cryptid™ - did not even fucking acknowledge he was a part of the show for over a year, has never tweeted about it or promoted it in anyway, is never at any of the group panels, is never in group photos with the rest of the cast, the only group photos with him included have been photoshopped and that itself has become a meme, and last week for the first time ever he posted a pic on instagram of a chibi keith pin a fan sent him with the caption “dis cute.”

They are both icons on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Things I loved about Beauty and the Beast
  • Diversity slapped me in face and I welcomed it with open arms
  • The enchantress didn’t curse an 11 year old who obviously knew stranger danger
  • He was an actual douche bag who deserved to be cursed
  • Belle’s blue dress
  • “You’re library makes our small corner of the world seem big”
  • “But she’s so well read and your so… athletically inclined.”
  •  I want that music box. TAKE MY MONEY DISNEY
  • Belle Doing laundry
  • Belle teaching the little girl to read
  • I love that it’s eternally winter there that just seems really cool to me

I love Tyler's mind
  • Interviewer : Why did you shave your hair Tyler ?
  • Tyler : I don't know. I like it. It's not really about what it looks like though. I like the idea of getting rid of something that's been on you for a long time. And you wake up on the next day and you're like " it's not there" and it's a refreshing take on your life after that... it was the deeper emotional connection that I had with my hair that I liked getting rid of.
  • Josh : Everything he does is dramatic. There's nothing that he randomly does.
