i love his commentary on this game

officialgrandpa  asked:

whot abt....... grandpa hcs 👀

Time for Grandpa to shine!

-I mentioned in a drabble a long time ago this summer that Grandpa met his wife on a casino boat and it was pretty much love at first time getting caught counting cards.

-He’s always known about the spirit of the puzzle and use to talk to him when he first got the puzzle.

-The first person to ever beat Grandpa in a game was Yugi when he was eight and Grandpa was honored that the first person to best him was his own grandson. The prize was the Millennium Puzzle.

-He taught Yugi all of his best card tricks, and then he taught them all to Atemu later cause he figured there are a few that even the king of games doesn’t know

-Hats and bandannas are worn cause his hair is even crazier at defying gravity than Yugi’s (as proven by Capsule Monsters)

-He and Atemu get along so well, just two old spirits having a good time and having jokes between them that Yugi can’t seem to figure out if he should be happy about or to worry over cause what are they up to

-Speaking of that…! Tiny Grandpa figurine that was a last minute, half-assed apology from Mokuba for Death-T. That is a good headcanon, it needs to be vaguely mentioned here!

-Grandpa gave Yugi his name, cause obviously

-He owns… a lot of artifacts that he really should give back, but you’ll have to pry them out of his cold, dead, tomb robbing hands

-Up until Yugi was eleven, he honestly believed Grandpa’s adventures were line Indiana Jones’, until his mom said otherwise. Then he found out the truth about the puzzle, so maybe Grandpa really did go on crazy ass adventures (he did, he really did. I’m sure there’s a hidden tribe somewhere in South America who wants him dead cause he stole something from them. Grandpa has a lot of enemies)

Reasons to play Fire Emblem Echoes:

-it’s really really good, like 9.5/10 honestly, please play this game

-Berkut’s voice acting, jiminy chrystlermobile

-that legend of zelda simulator dungeon crawling tho 👀  👀  👀  👀  👀  👀

-the voice acting in general is just 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌 👌  phenomenal overall

-T H E   M U S I C ,   G O O D      G          O         D

-character designs are 12/10, no more creepy loli vibes and ladies have slightly less impractical armor (or at least its better than the previous two games)

-SO MANY GOOD FEMALE CHARACTERS. Like…ONE bad one and at least she doesn’t have a creepy/hyper-sexualized design

-CANON GAY CHARACTER (NOT TREATED LIKE GARBAGE)??? IN MY FIRE EMBLEM?????? (it’s more likely than you think!)

-HAVE I MENTIONED THE VOICE ACTING?…YES? I WILL MENTION IT AGAIN, THE VOICE ACTING IS INCREDIBLE

-The combat has been greatly simplified overall, but with the emphasis on terrain, it feels more challenging strategically, rather than simply overwhelming

-I forgot to mention the point-and-click aspects when you’re in a town, but THERE ARE AWESOME POINT-AND-CLICK ASPECTS WHEN YOU’RE IN A TOWN (you will love Alm and Celica’s goofy commentary in these segments, they are such dorks)

-The co-director literally grew up playing Gaiden with his father and was specifically chosen for that reason, so you KNOW this game has been handled with a great deal of passion and care, and it was evident long before I stumbled upon this fact

TL;DR: BLEASE BLAY FIRE EMBLEM ECHOES, u will not regretti spaghetti 🙏

I’m kind of new to bts/Jikook and while binge watching all their content, I realized that even though Jimin has a good heart and cares about all the members, it’s nothing compared to how much he cares about Jungkook.

So there’s this moment from the Run series that really got to me. V and Jimin were on the same team (they even made a pact to help each other out), and Jungkook was on the opposing team. When Jimin won 3 meal tickets and both V & JK  didn’t win any, you’d think that the first person he would give the ticket to is the person on his team (V). But no! He gave it to Jungkook first even though V was right next to him begging.

Understandably, the rest of the group looked confused:

And Jimin’s reasoning

Then I found this old germ from their Rookie series. Jimin decided to randomly protect Jk during an individual game. I love how the commentary says “all for Jungkook” :

And this was the next scene after Jimin said he’ll protect Jungkook. It shows an exhausted Jin who’s just tired of Jimin going on about Jungkook:

We can’t forget this Bon Voyage moment when Jimin’s heart literally couldn’t handle the thought of Jungkook losing and going hungry:

No one can deny that for some reason Jungkook means more to Jimin than anyone else in the group. From what I gather, he literally spent years endlessly doting on Jk, and trying to get him to return his affection. He cares a lot about how Jk feels about him, and that’s usually the case when you like someone so much.  I’m yet to see him go this hard for any of the other members.

What would Jon truly do for love?

This is inspired by something I said in my new meta but wanted to get my thoughts out about it separately.

If Jon is fighting for his family and he knows that the best way to compel someone to take on this seemingly impossible cause that will require great sacrifice is to give them something at stake in the survival of humanity, then it makes some sense that he would do the things he’s doing. It is after all what compelled him to take up the cause again when he did not want to.

At the beginning most appeals from Jon and her advisors preyed on Dany’s perceived altruism and ego. Jon appealed mostly to her altruism, something they both seemingly share, and tried to convince her she should want to help because it’s the right thing to do for the greater good. He tries to convince her that none of this matters because westeros will die and if she cares about humanity at all then she will make sure that doesn’t happen. Tyrion attempts to persuade her by appealing to her ego. She can’t sit on the throne as queen if there are no subjects to rule so she should help preserve the realm to keep agenda from being in vain. It’s the same persuasion method he uses to stop her from torching Kings Landing. She didn’t refrain from using dragons on KL because it’s wrong, she didn’t use them because she came to rule people not ashes. This is also repeated by Tyrion himself when he tells Ceresi that Dany is kept in check by the people around her, not by her in inner sense morality and honor.

Dany’s struggle with balancing her altruism and her selfishness comes because Dany has noting truly at stake in the survival of humanity besides her selfish agenda. She has no family, she can’t have children and throughout series these two things have been the biggest weak spots for even people like Ceresi in the past. A good example for this is Jamie Lannister in the finale. Jamie tries to appeal to Ceresi to fight for the sake of their future child and their family. Jamie finally breaks his toxic cycle with Ceresi and goes to fight to save the realm because it’s the right thing to do and because he has something at stake, he has a child on the way, he has Ceresi who he loves, he has Tyrion, you could even count Brienne in as well. These things inspire Jamie to fight right away and yet people like Ceresi and Dany are slow to act because of their own conflicting agendas. Dany is a good person at heart but she’s also many other things, and she has nothing to consistently draw that goodness out in this matter besides her advisors, who she’s gradually become disillusioned with. Jon has personally witnessed this with his own eyes while at dragonstone.

This is why neither Jon nor Tyrion make any real progress with Dany. No matter how many times Jon begs Dany still will not help without him bending the knee, a sign that Dany is not as altruistic as she believes she is. Dany only wants to do the right thing when it doesn’t conflict with what she wants. Tyrion continues to fail to convince her because she’s so invested in winning, anything that sets that goal back is not worth it to her. That’s why she wouldn’t even do it after she’s told that the NK marches on Eastwatch and why Tyrion has to come up with the disastrous plan to convince Ceresi to call a ceasefire. As long as the war continues it will continue to override Dany’s flimsy sense of duty to the greater good. The only person who makes any real progress with Dany is Jon and this progress is completely unrelated to the war with the dead. He doesn’t manage to persuade her to help fight but he does manage to make her grow fond of him. You can see Jon noticing how Dany looks at him and responds to him. He’s not an idiot. However he seems completely unaware of what to do with that new development. At times he almost seems uncomfortable with it but he doesn’t reject her because that’s stupid when you need something from her. What’s important is he doesn’t play on that right away, he doesn’t call on this development until he feels like he has to because Dany isn’t who she thinks she is. The first, and in my opinion the biggest test for who Dany is and what truly controls her behavior comes just before Jon leaves and I believe it changes Jon’s method of persuasion with Dany. What happens just prior to Jon leaving Dragonstone?

Dany takes her dragons to war.

Just before Jon leaves dragonstone Dany is faced with a choice. Make a new strategy to win the throne or give into her darker impulses by using her dragons on people. Jon himself presents this choice to Dany as being better or being more of the same and Dany chooses the less altruistic choice. She uses her dragons. Jon doesn’t know everything that she did but he knows enough. She had the choice to not unleash these massive weapons on people for the greater good but chose to do it any way. That says a lot about who Dany truly is inside and about what it’s going to take to convince that this fight is worth fighting.

When the wight hunt ends in disaster Dany comes and saves them all from danger, but it’s important to note that Dany doesn’t come for the greater good, she doesn’t even come for her long time friend and advisor, she comes for Jon. Dany is moved to help because she has feelings and she personally has something at stake in this mission. Her concern is complexly focused on Jon before and after she comes. Even after she looses a dragon she’s still worried about Jon more than anything else it seems.

Jon probably already knew she came for him when she got there, but if he didn’t know then he for sure knows that’s why when he opens his eyes on that boat and sees her holding vigil at his bedside. She had just lost a dragon and yet she’s as his side worried about him. I think this is when Jon figures out how he can finally appeal to Dany to keep her in this fight. Its him, he’s the key to making sure Daenerys stays in the fight to save the realm no matter what. It’s easy to say that he should have been relieved that Dany agrees to help but look at why she’s helping not. Doesnt say she’s a gonna help because it’s the right thing to do and she gets that now. She wants to help now because she lost viserion and she wants to defeat the people who took him away from her. Basically by this point it’s become clear that Dany can not be counted on to fight this war for altruistic purposes so he has to give Dany something at stake in this war. He has to get her personally invested in this fight for a reason outside of the ones that have failed to convince her before and her newfound grief and desire for vengeance, and the only way he can think to do that is by giving into the affection she clearly holds for him, the affection that is already staring to influence her behavior. He has to prey on the one of the biggest that motivators in this world, he has to prey on the thing that’s ultimately motivating him: love. His love is rooted in his family, hers is rooted in him. Without that Dany has nothing to loose and is liable to let her other selfish needs override her desire to help the greater good like before.

He also preys on the second biggest motivator in the world: family. If me and the rest of the brilliant people who have voiced a similar opinion are right, this motive would explain why we see Jon giving Dany hope for having children in the finale. Dany having children one day gives Dany a family and something else at stake in this war. This whole time she’s been under the belief that she can’t have any, and that is part of why she’s so heavily invested in this war and those dragons, he’s seen how invested she is in those dragons because they are the only children she will ever have. He sees how they move her and influence her. This war and those dragons are they are all she truly has. If she thinks she can have more than just a throne and those dragons then she will fight hard to make sure she gets a chance to see it. She will fight for her future no matter what and sacrifice whatever she has to in order to do so, just like everyone else fighting in this war is doing it because they have someone they love at stake and they have a family at stake.

Jon is the perfect person to recognize this as a way to get influence Dany because it’s why he fights. He’s doing this for the greater good but most of all he’s doing this for the people he loves. He’s fighting for Sansa and Arya and Bran. He’s fighting so that all of them and even he can have a future, future that’s hopefully brighter than their painful past.

This is the only way I will ever buy that Jon is willing to break his oath to all those men he asked to fight for him, give away his homeland and risk turning even the people he loves most against him for Dany. He would never do those things out of love for Dany, but he would do it for love, love of his family.

disappoint me daddy

anonymous asked:

which sleepless night is your fave? the second one is the one i always go back to, tbh

yES same!!! that one is so fucking lovely. there are so many individual things i love about it omg

  • he looks so sleepy and rumpled at the beginning and it’s cute as fuck!!!!
  • the bookshelf tour is so so nice, i love the details we see there like his framed photo with his family and the blobfish stored on the shelf and the photos from the tatinof afterparty
  • the whole interlude of him making snacks is so cute :( i laughed so hard at the editing on the part where he’s making tea and just staring at the pot and waiting for something to happen and then ofc he burns himself on the crumpet AND burns his mouth on the tea like the actual ridiculous dork that he is
  • dan is gone and he’s just re-watching the video where they created dil and even says he is feeling nostalgic :(
  • when he’s gonna go take his contacts out and he’s like ‘wish me luck’ *leans in really close* ‘or you can come with me. wouldn’t that be an adventure?’
  • honestly why the fuck is it legitimately heartwarming to see him take out his god damn contact lenses and change into glasses? how does he turn something so mundane into something so lovely??? probs bc he wants to make a nerdy superman reference but just bangs his leg on the door and laughs at himself … i love phil :(
  • the dan and phil cactus plushies kinda sorta holding hands on the windowsill
  • his commentary over the ‘relaxing games’ is so genuinely funny and the way he’s situated the camera angle to evoke a sense of intimacy like we’re all chilling w phil on his bed while he tries to make himself sleepy ,,, genius filmmaking right there. also he’s cute:
  • and then the Actual Cutest camera angle of all time and the way that his voice has gone kind of sleepy soft by the end :( sdfskldfsldf fuck

also all of the context around this video was just fun to think about. he made it and released it all when dan was away on holiday with his family and ppl rightly pointed out that phil stayed up to the hours when it would be morning in sri lanka, so perhaps they wanted to skype or talk on the phone soon after dan had woken up ,,, or maybe phil uploaded the video in general as a way of indirectly giving dan smth cute while he was away ,, i mean it is sappy af but im Here for all of that speculation tbh ahahaha. whether it was partially meant for dan or he was just in a particularly tired/relaxed state when he filmed it, this vid was probs one of the warmest things phil has ever uploaded (which is obviously saying something for phil) and i treasure it dearly hahaha <3

Some Fan art from the ‘not god’ encounter in Night In The Woods. An absolutely charming game, I love the characters so much, the conversation flows so well and they seem so much like an ordinary bunch of friends. The ending was a little lack lustre but damn the journey makes it worth it. I watched Jack play it and his commentary and reaction to the characters is brilliant. Also top notch voices, would recomend!

hi!! before I ask anything I just wanna say that I love your work and I love reading through your masterlist with my ocs in mind!! if it's alright, could I request the chocobros finding out that their s/o plays super gory video games for like 12 hours straight over exercise and makes references to them regardless of the situation? ^^"

Yes! I love OCs, it sometimes throws me off when I write the Y/N and I have one of my Oc’s in mind, as I have soooo many Ocs myself. Yet as a the person who can’t play scary games, and instead has to watch let’s plays. I am the Prompto in these drabbles lol.

Noctis

“Hey,” You called stepping into the restaurant to meet the others, scooting in the booth beside Noctis and Prompto. “Sorry, I’m late, I had to go get the code for the DLC for Malevolent Occupier 5.”

“That came out today?” Noctis asked.

“Yeah, figured since we’ve been bigne playing, we might as well get the DLC co-ops mission, while we wait for the remake to come out next month.” You beamed.

Ignis cocked an eyebrow, “So this is why you’ve both been sleeping in so much, well more than usual for some.”

Noctis shot the man a glare.

Prompto made gave a shuttered on the other side of Noctis, “I don’t see how you can play those games Noct and force poor Y/N to play too.”

“Not my idea, Y/N, was the one would did most of the work.”

Kylo was not part of the formal hierarchy of the First Order but nonetheless operated with freedom among the military command, who tolerated his presence with some hesitation as his agenda trumped their own. (1)(2)

can't wait to hear you thoughts on dream daddy leela <333

hihihihi ifjsodifsdf well you’ve probably heard wayyy more of my thoughts on this vid than u bargained for but here’s one last post of things i loved in particular. as i said in so many previous ask responses, i found dnp’s demeanor in this to be so lovely and natural and enthusiastic. they were perhaps less outwardly energetic but to me that just felt like a product of their being reasonably immersed and into the game itself and all the reading that comes with it. i loved so many bits and to make it a little easier i decided to break them up by person. i also did this bc of the volume of people who were concerned about phil being ‘off’ or seeming disinterested or irritated or any number of negative things. i just kind of wanted to make a point of the fact that so many of my fav moments were actually little things from phil as opposed to dan. also i should say ,, shout out to this game itself bc i’m genuinely loving watching it unfold. i’ve not seen any part of the game before so i had no idea what to expect. i wasn’t prepared for how uplifting the concept would be and how interesting all the characters are and i’m genuinely so excited for the next episode not jst bc it’s dan and phil content and i want to watch them play, but bc i just simply want to know what happens next!!!!!!!! so with that being said here are some of my fav moments of the vid, just a small selection of the reasons why i really adored the video overall <3

Here’s the book meme thingy I was tagged in by the exquisite @batmanisagatewaydrug.

1. Which book has been on your shelves the longest? I’ve owned my copy of The Eyes of the Dragon since I was in second grade, and it’s not going anywhere any time soon. I’ve also owned my Harry Potter books for fuck-all ever, to the point where they’re literally falling apart. Like, to the point where Chamber of Secrets has been held together by packing tape since like, middle school.

2. What is your current read, your last read and the book you’ll read next? I’m bouncing between The Graveyard Book, The Wizard and the Glass, and The Collected Short Stories of H.G. Wells. I just finished Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs and reread Coraline. Next is… oh gods, I have so much sitting in my Audible library. On the physical book front, it’ll be Wolves of the Calla, since I want to finish The Dark Tower before the movie comes out. On the listening front… probably between Wuthering Heights and Four Past Midnight. But that could easily change on a whim.

3. Which book does everyone like and you hated? I have never and will never understand The Hunger Games hype. They basically put me off YA for like four years. Also, I know this isn’t exactly novel (HAH), but FUCK Ernest Hemmingway. Fuck your old man and his shitty boat and his shitty fish. I love To Kill a Mockingbird, but absolutely detest the way it’s taught in schools. As a social commentary, it’s worthless. As a coming-of-age novel, it’s practically perfect.

4. Which book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t? So many. Soooo many. Anything by Isaac Asimov, a whole lot of Dickens (I really like Dickens, but that “paid by the word” thing did the man no favors), uuuuuum. I keep telling myself I’m going to return to Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye, which I started and never finished and SWEAR I’M GOING TO GO BACK TO SOMEDAY BUT OH GOD IT’S BEEN FIVE YEARS I’MMMMMM SOOOOOORRY TONI. A whole lot of poetry (here’s looking at you, Dickinson). A bunch I’m forgetting. Oh, and The Vampire Chronicles. Still, now that I’m working overnights and can listen to audiobooks eight hours per night, my rate of reading has practically quadrupled and there’s a good chance that I’ll use that as an excuse to finally get around to all of these.

5. Which book are you saving for “retirement?” I’m dying by twenty-six, so I gotta shove all those words in now.

6. Last page: read it first or wait till the end?

Not since I was a little kid reading Goosebumps and had to know what bullshit twist R.L. Stine’s ghostwriter of the week would come up with this time.

7. Acknowledgements: waste of ink and paper or interesting aside? It’s a popular misconception that writing a book is a solo endeavor, and it’s self-indulgent bullshit. No book is an island, and the people that surround it deserve credit.

8. Which book character would you switch places with? Oh frick. Maybe not switching place with a specific character, but I want to be friends with the Hempstocks from The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

9. Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life (a person, a place, a time)? Matilda reminds me of when I was a little kid and books were the most magical thing in the world. Like, they still are, but there’s something about it that just recalls the innocence with which I could view literature as a kid. Hard same for A Series of Unfortunate Events. Jurassic Park was the first “adult” novel I ever read, and introduced me to a whole new idea of what books could be. IT reminds me of middle school summertime, devouring books on the beach while I wiggled my toes in the sand. The Eyes of the Dragon made me love fairytales, and years later Stardust reminded me why I love them.

10. Name a book you acquired in some interesting way. Um… I have a bunch of classics (Lord of the Flies, Brave New World, 1984, a few others) that I nicked from a storage room in my high school of books that used to be part of the literary curriculum but hadn’t been touched in about twelve years.

11. Have you ever given away a book for a special reason to a special person? I gave a really nice gold-leaf fancy-pantsy edition of Huck Finn I got from my Nana and Papa to one of my old friends because I forgot to buy him a birthday present. I also stole like, a dozen Discworld books from him, so it more than evens out.

12. Which book has been with you to the most places? The Eyes of the Dragon has been with me on at least five or six trips as a kid (I used to travel a lot with my dad for business), and has been with me everywhere I’ve lived.

13. Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad ten years later? The opposite, actually. I read Gatsby for the first time on my own, absolutely loathed it, reread it my Senior year for AP Lit and loved it.

14. What is the strangest item you’ve ever found in a book? I found an old bus ticket from the early Nineties in my copy of A Confederacy of Dunces

15. Used or brand new? Both. Books. Just… books. Both have their own unique smell and feel that I love for different reasons.

16. Stephen King: Literary genius or opiate of the masses? Don’t know, don’t care. All I know is that he’s my book dad and always will be. He was the writer that made me believe that I could actually be a writer through On Writing. The Eyes of the Dragon is my favorite book and the one that’s influenced me more than any other. A lot of his books kind of blow, but when you’ve put out the sheer amount of words that he has, you’re bound to have a few stinkers. When the man hits the vein of a story, he hits it hard. I can’t imagine my middle school years without The Talisman or Firestarter or my high school years without Misery or IT. Speaking of, I’ve been waiting for the new IT movie since it was stuck in development hell however many years ago, and I’m absolutely going to cry in the theatre if it sucks. I don’t even need it to be good, I just need the relationships between the kids to be done well. They’re my children, dammit, and I love them so much.

17. Have you ever seen a movie you liked better than the book? American Psycho is unequivocally better than the book and nothing will ever convince me otherwise. Ditto for Fight Club. I don’t know if I’d say that Stand by Me is technically better than the book, but it’s also tied for my favorite movie of all time. A Clockwork Orange is in a similar boat. And Holes. OH. I can’t believe I almost forgot The Silence of the Lambs. I adore the movie, but the book runs almost entirely on the “male author wants to fuck his lady protagonist” trope, and eeeeeeew.

18. Conversely, which book should NEVER have been introduced to celluloid? Um… now seems like as good of a time to shit on the majority of Stephen King adaptations as ever. Like, I get that this is by no means a new observation, but fuck. Speaking of, I am so confused by the “dOnT rEmAkE iT tHe OrIgInAl WaS a CLASSIC” crowd. The miniseries is ass and the only redeeming factor is Tim Curry because, well… Tim Curry.

19. Have you ever read a book that’s made you hungry, cookbooks being excluded from this question? See my previous comment about wanting to be friends with the Hempstocks. I want that blackberry jam, dammit.

20. Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take? Um, I’ll basically read anything that @batmanisagatewaydrug throws my way. She’s like my only book friend (and my best friend) so I sort of figure out what I want to read on my own. Oh, I have been working on some of Neil’s recommendations from The View from the Cheap Seats, which has been rewarding so far (@Diana Wynn Jones, where were you all my life?).

I tag no one because I don’t have book friends (ahem ahem, HINT HINT IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE THIS AND LOVE BOOKS FOR THE LOVE OF GODS HIT ME UP), but I will tag back @batmanisagatewaydrug just to prove I actually did it.

hey y’all I’m here to recommend a youtube channel that I love to bits, run by a man named Checkers Prefect. He’s a 50-ish gamer who makes lots of Fallout 4 and Skyrim videos. He has really long-running, really mellow ongoing playthroughs of both, here and here. I’ve been marathoning his Skyrim one because I super needed to calm down yesterday. He semi-roleplays as Checkers the Khajiit, even using Khajiit speech patterns, and keeps up a stream of quiet, wry commentary.

He also does bedtime videos which he’s switched over to calling ASMR, which, I guess is true but he didn’t need to say it. They’re just peaceful nighttime walks through Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 4, and New Vegas. The vibe is kind of like guided meditation, obviously not done by a professional, but the Skyrim ones were so good for me mid-senior year when I couldn’t get myself to sleep. Those are over here.

He has a few other let’s plays, though I believe he’s said those won’t last as long. I haven’t watched all his game analysis/dev type stuff, but he has interesting insights in some rambly videos and a few edited ones, like how a car can be the most dangerous thing in Fallout here (rambly), and what immersion is here (edited).

He’s very wonderful, and, as he says, very mellow and soft-spoken. He strives to make a kind and supportive community and so far he’s winning. He’s just, he’s lovely, please check out his channel here!

BIRTHDAY

It’s Clair’s birthday, so have some Marauders birthday headcanons. @isolemnlyswearthatilovetowrite (and anyone else with a birthday coming up) enjoy!

  • They kidnap you after classes that afternoon and take you to the Great Hall, which they’ve set up with all the supplies needed for a party and subsequent sleepover
  • When you ask, they tell you not to worry about how they pulled it off
  • We all know it’s because McGonagall has a sweet spot for those boys
  • The party commences, now that you’ve arrived
  • There’s a giant cake (courtesy of Hagrid, of course), cookies, candies, firewhiskey, and any number of things definitely not good to your health, but you don’t care when you see the proud grins on the Marauders’ faces
  • They each hand you a gift; all simple, a couple homemade; all from the heart
  • Sirius gets you an expensive pendant with your birthstone (his signature; what better way to spend his parents’ money?)
  • James gets you that jacket you were eyeing last Hogsmeade trip (and a package of cookies from his mum)
  • Remus gives you a book you two had been discussing, and a homemade box for Sirius’s gift (because they’re a team, yo)
  • Peter gives you a photo album he made himself, complete with all your favorite moments with the lads (and bonus commentary from all of the Marauders…“Remember that day you fell in Hogsmeade and spilled all of your Bertie Bott’s, Prongs?”/“Sod off, Pads.”/“You know you love me. 😉”/“That I do. ❤”)
  • After you’ve opened all your gifts and hugged the boys, someone (*pointed look at James and Sirius*) suggests drinking games, and it all goes downhill from there tbh
  • James and Sirius are locked in an battle only they understand (something to do with balancing on one foot and snapping the fingers of the opposite hand while maintaining eye contact?? Nobody knows tbh)
  • James tries to do a kegstand and fails miserably (“Just because you’re a Quidditch player doesn’t mean you possess the upper body strength to do that, James.”/“JUST LET ME LIVE, REMUS.”)
  • Sirius becomes very cuddly (*Jumping into your lap* “Love meeeee”/“Sirius you aren’t Padfoot right now. You know how I know? YOU’RE CRUSHING MY LUNGS.”/*Pouting* “But Y/NNNN…”/*Long suffering sigh* “Fine”)
  • Remus gets extremely philosophical and discusses the meaning of life and rubber ducks with Arthur (“Why are we really here, Art?”/“Y'know, Re-*hic*-mus, I don’t know. Perhaps it’s to ensure the rubber duck nation gets the recognition it deserves.”/“Holy shit. *Patting Arthur’s shoulder* You are on a whole other level, my friend.” / *Together* “ALL HAIL THE DUCKS.”)
  • Peter is the conspiracy theory drunk. He’s gonna be staring at a wall sconce and when you ask him about it he’s gonna tell you that he’s just “Making sure the wall fairies are having a good time, because they report back to the Great Wall Fairy, commander of all walls. If she is displeased, society as we know it will literally collapse, Y/N.”
  • Once the party dies down a bit, you all climb into your sleeping bags and share stories (and a round or seven of Truth or Dare for good measure)
  • As you begin to fall asleep, you end up in a cuddle pile, all of them fighting to be the last one to wish you a happy birthday before drifting off to sleep
  • You wake up as the sun begins to streak through the windows, and look around
  • James has his head on your legs, yours is on Remus’s legs; Remus has his head on Sirius’s stomach, and he has his on Peter’s
  • You have no idea how you ended up that way (Sirius sleepwalks, Peter drools like a burst dam, Remus is a complete cover hog, and James once gave Peter a black eye while asleep because he was “Fighting the giant spiders, man,”), but as you think back to the night before and look around at your best friends, you couldn’t think of a better way to spend a birthday

Hope you enjoyed that. Happy birthday, Love (◡‿◡✿)

Screenshots from DINOSAURS WITH GUNS! | Beast Battle Simulator! :D

Oh my god I LOVED this video!!! :D :D :D
I never thought that these battle simulator games could get any more ridiculous but this game proved me wrong. Literally it’s many different kinds of animals and dinosaurs fighting each other and they can have GUNS on their bodies or on top of their heads! Add that with the ridiculous animations on these animals too and you got a game that’s frigan gold! I loved watching Seán play this game too, his commentary in this video was super energetic and all over the place more then he usually is and I think that his energy matched perfectly to the ridiculous chaos that this game has to offer. I think my favorite part of this whole video was the soccer game because it was something that was very different from everything we’d seen in the game at that point and that whole section of this video make me laugh so hard. Oh my god, I hope that Seán plays more of this game because this was such a fun video and a fun game to watch him play!
I LOVED THIS VIDEO! :D

I Love Jack So Much

When Jack said in today’s Slime Rancher’s video about just being a chill video and relaxing with us: that’s me with basically all of his videos. His videos with more relaxed commentary are…well, more relaxing, but whatever game Jack plays, whether it’s a one off game or a story driven game, I always feel relaxed and at ease.

YOU’RE A KID YOU’RE A SQUID YOU’RE A KID YOU’RE A SQUID

And ofc the colors deviate super hard from the og bc wow don’t I just love bright colors hah (I also changed the boots a bit to kinda go with the outfit better?? idk)

For @loverofscythe bc he’s great and I love his art and his gaming commentary lmao

WELCOME TO JACKASS | Whiplash Crash Valley #2! :D

Such a fun video! xD It’s such a blast watching Seán dick around in this silly game and seeing the crash test dummy flying around all over the place. This video really reminded me of his goat simulator videos and those are always a ton of fun to watch as well. I loved Seán’s commentary and Robin’s editing in this video too. What else can I really say in all honesty? I just had a lot of fun watching this video. ^_^
