Symmetra(my wife😍) is always so calm and collected until she's around Reader. Gets super flustered and shy
Symmetra is a goddess. Thank you for requesting this, I love her so much! I didn’t mean for this to be so long, but I love Satya so much that things got out of hand. Hope you enjoy -
Satya Vaswani, known as Symmetra, was a mystery. She was a genius, an amazing architect, and incredibly aloof. In your time in Overwatch, she never talked to you once. You had caught her staring at you a few times, even been on a mission together, but the two of you hadn’t spoken. Which apparently wasn’t out of the ordinary for her. She was very reserved. She often kept to herself and never seemed too interested in the other agents. Some people described her as cold, but you didn’t believe that, she just seemed shy.
One day you were eating dinner and chatting with Lena. You decided to bring the illusive agent up. The famed “Tracer” had been in Overwatch longer than you, maybe she knew Symmetra.
“Hey Lena,” You ask. “What do you know about Symmetra?”
“Satya? I don’t know, love. She was recruited from Vishkar awhile ago. She’s wicked smart, but kinda intimidating.” She answered.
“Intimidating?” You questioned.
“Yeah,” Lena replied,“I went to introduce myself to her the day she arrived. She was polite enough, but she just seemed annoyed. Hasn’t tried to talk to me since. Why do you ask?”
“She’s the only agent I haven’t met yet. I was hoping you could introduce me since you’re friends with everyone.” You responded.
“Yeah, sure. We can stop by later.” Lena said.
After a little bit of searching, you found her sitting in the garden, relaxing. The usual scowl she wore was gone. She seemed to be at ease for once.
“Oy! Satya!” Lena called. Ah, there was the familiar scowl. She barely glanced at Lena before looking at you, her gaze curious.
“Hello.” She said. She sounded so elegant when she spoke.
“How have you been, love?” Lena asked.
“Fine.” Satya said quickly.
Lena gave her a little wave before turning around and walking away. “She’s all yours.” She whispered before leaving.
“Hi.” You said nervously. “We haven’t talked before. It’s nice to finally meet you.” You reached out your hand.
“I’ve seen you around. You are skilled in battle.” She stated. She looked away as she shook your hand. What happened to that unrelenting stare she gave to everyone? She seemed almost nervous.
“Thanks. How are you?” You ask, not really knowing what to say to her.
“I am well.” She replied. “Just practicing.”
“Practicing?” You question.
“Yes. I get tried of only making sentry turrets all the time.” She lifted her hands in front of her chest. The blue pieces on her hands glowed to life. Her face was calm, yet focused. Beautiful. She really was a goddess, you observed. The light in her hands took the form of a little song bird. You gasped. With a slight motion of her hand, the little bird flew out of Satya’s grasp. You watched in awe as it fluttered around your head. With another flick of her hand, the little bird dissolved into blue light. You looked at her with a smile, only to find she had her own smile in place of her usual stern expression.
“Satya! That was amazing! You’re so talented!” You said in awe.
Her face flushed and her smile grew even bigger. Satya was always so put together, so stern. You realized this was the first time you saw her face light up with genuine joy.
“I, um, thank you. You are too kind.” She muttered shyly.
“Can you do more?” You asked.
“Um,” She said, avoiding your gaze. “Not now. I should get going.” She glanced around nervously.
“Okay, another time?”
She looked up at you, surprised. “Yes. I would enjoy that.” She said with a small, but breathtaking smile. She really was something special.
