i love anthony so much

Let’s pretend I know how to draw a couch but decided not to do it for stylistic choices… Yeah. Let’s do that.

I would just like to emphasize - especially after watching the proshot - the fact that Anthony Rosenthal is TWELVE YEARS OLD.
He is such a phenomenal actor! His expressions were always so perfect - just the right mixture of noticeable and comical without being so “cutesy” or exaggerated. Even when he wasn’t singing and the camera would pan ban to him, he /never broke character./
And during Father to Son!!!! How was he able to look so authentic in his heartbreak and anger??? And esp during act 1, he played the wild child so well without being annoying and his voice is so soothing and he articulates his words so very well even during the fast parts where he has to almost blurr his words together.
AND DURING CANCELLING THE BAR MITZVAH AND ANOTHER MIRACLE OF JUDAISM, WHEN HE LOOKED ON THE VERGE OF TEARS HOW DOES A LITTLE KID DO THAT??? And my favorite part of him: His nervousness during Jason’s Bar Mitzvah. Like g o d, punch me in the face
Anthony played Jason’s immaturity and anger and devastation and denial /so/ well.
And he is /twelve years old./ Jesus, watching the proshot, I feel like one more Falsettos actor was robbed at the Tony’s than you think.

David Tennant’s Contributions to Doctor Who Episodes
“Sarah Jane Smith” Edition

Excerpt from Benjamin Cook’s interview with David Tennant from DWM 440:

He stops mid-sentence, and smiles.  “I got to call her Sarah. Everyone else had to call her Sarah Jane. When we did School Reunion, she was very much written as Sarah Jane, and that’s how she referred to herself. It was Lis who came to me and said, ‘It’s a wonderful script, but the Doctor always used to call her Sarah, back in the day.’  I said, ‘You’re absolutely right. Of course! I remember that vividly.’  It was Lis’ idea, although I was very happy to go along with it.”

“What almost never happened when I worked on Doctor Who was, the scripts just never needed tinkering with,” he continues.  “If there were anything to change, Russell and I might have a brief chat, but once the cameras had started rolling, the scripts basically remained unchanged. That name thing was an exception. Lis and I just did it. It was a little tribute to the days of old. A couple of times, people queried it, and we’d just go, ‘Ah, no, that’s just… that’s what it’s meant to be.’  We were kind of stubborn about it. Until, in the end, a line or two was put in to slightly explain why I was calling Sarah something different to everyone else,” he laughs.

Orig.Poster’s note: This post is part of a series on some of the contributions that David made to episodes of Doctor Who, because he sometimes gets questions about ad-libs or input he may have had to episodes, but he tends to not take credit for his various additions/suggestions - so I figured I’d list some for him.  Most of the credit for this one actually goes to the lovely Elisabeth Sladen for bringing it to David’s attention.  I love his telling of the story above, with he and Lis conspiring together to go off-script and being “kind of stubborn about it”.

A Hamilton

Four quotes from letters Alexander Hamilton sent John Laurens and one he sent about him (to Nathanael Greene, after John’s death).

For @livingroomsong for the Hamilton Secret Santa project (hosted by the wonderful @happyhamildays)! Happy holidays!!! :)

Little things I noticed when I saw falsettos in theatres that killed me

-the light blue shirt Jason wears during a lot of act two says Camp anika (??? I think I’m not 100% sure but I’m at least 60%) on the sleeve
-During march of the falsettos Andrew says “No my shorts” when Marvin tried to pants him “Hit me” and “Hit me twice” when he’s asking the people in the pit for the cubes
-The lights during what would I do killed me honestly
-dr charlotte says “he has to stay here” to Marvin and they just kinda zoom in on Jason and he looks so worried about Whizzer and it’s terrible
-Trina wears mendels bracelet for the rest of the show after a marriage proposal
-WHIZZERS OUTFIT IS BIGGER IN MORE RAQUETBALL THAN IT WAS IN A DAY IN FALSETTOLAND I MEAN EVERONE ALREADY KNEW THAT BUT I WASNT READY FOR THAT
-they cut to Whizzer a bunch during making a home and I wasn’t ready for it
-Marvin cries (he just sobs) during unlikely lovers
-“I’m not a man in pants” is that a reference to in trousers????? Maybe???
-ALL OF THE LYRICS THEY CHANGES LIKE “FLAT AS A LAKE” INSTEAD OF “BORING AS SHIT” “I WANNA SEE THE HAIRLINE” INSTEAD OF “I WANNA SEE THE BALD SPOT”
-Whizzer just waltz into the baseball game and he gives absolutely zero shits and it’s amazing
-Andrews faces just throughout the entire thing like he says half Jewish during four Jews and just makes a 😬😬 face
-the way Andrew says hepatitis is amazing -the way Andrew says Petty petty petty is a blessing
-THE MARVIN AND WHIZZER MAKE OUT DURING DONT MAKE NOISE BUT DADDIES KISSING BOYS THEY JUST GO FOR IT
-After Marvin talks about the “hairline” Whizzer just stares at him for a solid 15 seconds just like “what the hell marv stop who do you think you are”
-Jasons little dances he does so many little dances
-WHIZZERS little nods during “Whizzer do you think I should see a psychiatrist”
-“Chess ain’t how your boyfriend thinks”
-Whizzer playing chess during the chess game is beautiful it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen
-Andrew starts to cry during days like this and it’s heartbreaking wow
-MENDEL POINTS TO THE CROWD WHEN HE SAYS HOMOSEXUALS
-Betsy Wolfe is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen
