“The first draft of my vows - which I wrote the day after we got engaged - clocked in at around seventy pages. But I don’t have them with me today… Here’s what I’ll say, then. The things you have done for me - to help me, support me, surprise me, to make me happy - go above and beyond what any person deserves. You’re all I need. I love you and I like you.”
“I love you and I like you.”

Happy Birthday @akaclairetemple!!! I love you and i’m sorry about the last cap

Okay, so I’m not sure how this is typically done considering it’s my first follow forever. After I made it past 700 followers I figured it was about time I showed my appreciation for my favorite blogs.

i just remembered this morning that bvs came out today so i was like "hey we should go see it" and my mom was like "nah i read this article it's apparently pretty bad" but now i'm seeing a lot of good stuff about it on my dash and it's like....tbh i trust your judgement more ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I enjoy both Marvel and DC but I genuinely enjoyed both Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman and I think that Zach Snyder has done an excellent job of developing these classic characters to fit the world that we live in
I may be biased because I have a massive crush on both Henry Cavill and Amy Adams but I’m also in love with the entire Chris Bouquet that is the MCU so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That being said, I feel like critics aren’t liking BvS because it is darker than the superhero movies we’ve gotten used to in recent years
This movie isn’t about The Star Spangled Man with a Plan or a homicidal AI
This is about the world, particularly the US, trying to come to terms with a powerful extraterrestrial whom they don’t really have jurisdiction over
It’s about a regular human using his power to pit 2 powerful individuals against each other so they’ll be too busy destroying each other to fight him
Superman is historically the Big Blue Boy Scout, a man above reproach, so a movie that calls his morals into question and shows the darker aspects of superheroes, their weaknesses and doubts, is bound to get hate

Anyway this BvS isn’t here for critical acclaim
It’s an action movie and that means that there’s more stuff blowing up than there is people talking about someone’s third divorce
But you know what? I really enjoyed it
And if you want to see it, don’t let some snobby critic who only likes JLaw movies and war biopics tell you otherwise
