The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas

From The Wind’s Twelve Quarters: Short Stories by Ursula Le Guin

With a clamor of bells that set the swallows soaring, the Festival of Summer came to the city Omelas, bright-towered by the sea. The rigging of the boats in harbor sparkled with flags. In the streets between houses with red roofs and painted walls, between old moss-grown gardens and under avenues of trees, past great parks and public buildings, processions moved. Some were decorous: old people in long stiff robes of mauve and grey, grave master workmen, quiet, merry women carrying their babies and chatting as they walked. In other streets the music beat faster, a shimmering of gong and tambourine, and the people went dancing, the procession was a dance. Children dodged in and out, their high calls rising like the swallows’ crossing flights, over the music and the singing. All the processions wound towards the north side of the city, where on the great water-meadow called the Green’ Fields boys and girls, naked in the bright air, with mudstained feet and ankles and long, lithe arms, exercised their restive horses before the race. The horses wore no gear at all but a halter without bit. Their manes were braided with streamers of silver, gold, and green. They flared their nostrils and pranced and boasted to one another; they were vastly excited, the horse being the only animal who has adopted our ceremonies as his own. Far off to the north and west the mountains stood up half encircling Omelas on her bay. The air of morning was so clear that the snow still crowning the Eighteen Peaks burned with white-gold fire across the miles of sunlit air, under the dark blue of the sky. There was just enough wind to make the banners that marked the racecourse snap and flutter now and then. In the silence of the broad green meadows one could hear the music winding through the city streets, farther and nearer and ever approaching, a cheerful faint sweetness of the air that from time to time trembled and gathered together and broke out into the great joyous clanging of the bells.

Inner Vixen

“Barnes. 6 o’clock.” Natasha whispered keeping her eyes focused on you standing right beside her at the bar. Tony’s latest rager had started approximately an hour ago and, though you would never admit to nervously awaiting his arrival, she noticed your eyes lingering on the entrance every now and again.

Gunshot (a sneak peek)

So… This was written way back in January (yikes), when I first started to write the mafia au fic 8 Days a Week and only @kawaiilo-ren and a couple other people have seen it. You might think you’ve seen it before, because Kait is a babe and she’s been drawing the amazing comic of this scene (and murdering me along the way).

My plan was to keep this private until it was time to publish it on Ao3 but life is short and I actually like this. People will probably forget by the time it’s published there anyway, oops.

Under the cut because it’s long.

Hospital hall is looking cold and bleak under the fluorescent lights, like it did many hours ago. Yuri doesn’t remember how long it’s been since he left the building but coming back feels like returning from war, maybe. He doesn’t know what war feels like. It must be exhausting, if it resembles this even slightly.

Ignoring his shaking hands is easy, as is turning a blind eye to his pulsating head ache. His body is crashing after riding through the adrenaline waves and he would kill for a nap; but that would make the list of things worth killing for longer and he isn’t sure if he is ready to deal with the paperwork. He isn’t ready to deal with anything yet, he just wants to return the weapon to its true owner and fall into a lifelong slumber.

Devil Side- Chapter 11

Summary: After another sleepless night, you decide to take matters into your own hands and have your first interaction with Reyna

Pairings: Buck x reader, Reyna x Reader

Warnings: None but the tiniest amount of angst

Word Count:1021

The wailing was intense. A prolonged drawn out cry that set your teeth on edge. It was day two of furlough, and you had gotten next to no sleep. Your eyes felt worse than sandpaper, the cat naps you had stolen while Reyna was at daycare doing nothing to assuage your exhaustion. It was the worst form of torture, sleep deprivation.

You were beyond cranky, your temper lurking underneath the surface, ready to lash out at anyone who dared look your way.

Sighing heavily as another pained cry travels through the wall you share with Bucky, you come to a snap decision. You lurch out of bed, throwing the covers violently off of you, rummage blindly through your nightstand until you find what you’re looking for, cursing softly as you trip over a shoe on the way to the door. Righting yourself, you fling it open and march down to Bucky’s room, not bothering to knock.

The scene in front of you is enough to break your heart.

Bucky standing in the middle of the room, Reyna perched on his hip. Her little face is scrunched up and red, her wails doing nothing but flustering Bucky who looks like Hydra had gotten a hold of him. His hair was a mess, his clothes disheveled, what looked like vomit was splattered down his back, and the smell was overwhelming.

“Bucky, I need you to give the baby to me,” you say calmly, noting how his hands tighten briefly around her small body.

His eyes are cautious like you were a predator wanting to gobble her up. He looked like a wild animal, his base instincts taking complete control.

You had no idea how long he’d been awake, but he was obviously so far down the rabbit hole it was going to take more than eight hours to get him functioning again.

“Bucky, can I hold her? I think I can help,” you croon softly, moving cautiously forward.

Bucky slumps and hands Reyna over.

Instinctively you begin making soft reassuring noises underneath your breath, jiggling her slightly on your hip. “Open wide, pretty girl,” you say as you squeeze a glob of the gel onto your finger, gently sticking your finger into her mouth on a particularly loud scream. Spreading the gel across her gums, watching as her little face scrunches with distaste. “There we go, all better,” you smile, smoothing her sweaty hair from her face.

Her eyes stop the action. Deep, unfathomable ocean glitter in them. Her father’s eyes.

It throws you off. You hadn’t noticed how much she looked like her mother except for her eyes. It conjures up scenarios of what your own child with him would look like. Would he or she resemble Bucky? Or you? Or would the child be a perfect blend between the two of you, a perfect manifestation of the love you shared?

You stop that train of thought in its tracks, handing Reyna, somewhat reluctantly you’re surprised to find, back to her father who’s looking equal parts relieved, suspicious, and astonished.

“What did you give her?” he asks gruffly.

You suppress a sigh, understanding his need for clarification. “Teegel. Andrew has a niece. Her mother would apply it to her gums when her teething problems kept her up at night. It numbs the gums, perfectly safe. I found it works wonders on a split lip, and you can get it at any pharmacy,” you reply.

He nods, placing Reyna in her crib, a loving kiss to her forward head follows, and your heart aches. What you could have had if your parents hadn’t sold you if the Red Room hadn’t desecrated your body. What if your mind sneers, and you bodily shake yourself, dislodging the thought.

Bucky yawns loudly, and a bout of empathy takes root…

“I… I can stay with her, you know, until she falls asleep?” you offer nervously.

Bucky seems too tired to argue, flinging himself backwards onto the bed.

You consider that as a resounding yes taking a seat in a chair next to Reyna’s crib. A hint of blue catches your eye, and you dig around in the cushions until you pull it out. It’s a light blue sweater, slightly tattered from years of being handled, but you would recognize it anywhere.

It had been a gift from Natalia after a mission in Paris. It was your favorite sweater, soft to the touch, wrapping you in what felt like velvet, but it had gone missing years ago, and you always held the suspicion that Wanda had borrowed it for a date with Vision but forgot to return it. Its absence had completely slipped your mind when you left.

Your mind floods with reasons about why Bucky has it. did he grab it accidentally when he left? Were you imagining it, and it was merely similar to something Ivanna owned? Deciding to bite the bullet and just ask you clear your throat softly. “Hey, Bucky is this my sweater?” Nothing but silence answers your statement, and you turn your head toward the bed. “Bucky?” you inquire, receiving a soft snore in return. You’re about to call out again when Reyna stirs restlessly, her chubby legs kicking against the edge of the crib.

Bucky jerks briefly, roused by the sound of his daughter’s distress, but soon settles down as Reyna quiets. You stroke her hair, humming a lullaby underneath your breath, tucking the sweater in your hand around her body. She curls around it, her eyes fluttering closed, exhaustion completely taking over her small frame.

“Golden slumbers fill your eyes, smiles awake you when you rise. Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry, and I will sing a lullaby,” you sing softly. “Once, there was a way to get back homeward. Once, there was a way to get back home. Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry, and I will sing a lullaby.” you repeat the song over and over until your own eyes begin to droop, and soon your safely in the arms of sleep where the thoughts of a life lost doesn’t plague you, and you know nothing but peace.

I didn’t know you snored until a half hour ago but i’m staring at the ceiling fighting the urge to kick you

I’m finally getting back to these bed-sharing prompts! And because writing the last Friends to Lovers with no pining was so fun, here’s another one. ;) (3000 ish words - Rated M, obviously) AO3

“You sure you’re okay with this, Swan?”

“Yeah, no big deal.” Quickly walking past Killian and their one full size bed on her way to the bathroom, she hopes the nonchalance in her voice sounded believable.

It had been a great day. A seriously great day. In what had been an uncharacteristically impulsive decision, Emma had taken Killian up on his offer to come out here with him during Spring Break. She had been just as curious to see the Grand Canyon as to see what it would be like to hang out with her fellow professor outside of the stuffy confines of their day to day life. They’d started out a bit like oil and water when they had first met, his bad boy reputation and constant flirting the exact opposite of her favorite thing. But man, was he persistent. After a few months of sharing an office he’d somehow weaseled his way past a few of her defenses, giving him a well-earned spot on her friend list, a list with very few names. There were other times though, like earlier tonight, with the two of them lying close together beneath a breathtaking blanket of stars, that she wondered if his name was getting closer to finding its way to another list, one she thought she had closed off for new members long ago.

So yeah, she’s perfectly fine sharing a too small bed with Killian Jones, because that isn’t going to be complicated or uncomfortable…not at all. Curse these tiny cabins. As she brushes her teeth she stares at herself in the mirror, taking in the bit of pink on her cheeks from their hours spent hiking in the sun, remembering how they had ached from smiling and laughing at the man on the other side of the bathroom door. God, it really has been a great day. She hopes she doesn’t somehow ruin it by acting weird now. It’s been years since she’s shared a bed with a man for anything other than sex - and sleeping together after that, nope, not on the table. So the idea of just the sleeping is a bit terrifying, even if there isn’t going to be any sex.

There isn’t right?

“Are the twins okay?” You asked after looking up from the attendance sheet. They had been absent for the past three days.

It was your fourth day back at work for Kim after your depressing three weeks. Jimin had completely stopped contacting you and the last time you saw his face was at Jen’s dinner. Even though he was out of your life, you couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Every part of you wanted to see him. You missed him every sulking day, every dreadful minute. You no longer accompanied Kim at morning drop off though. You were smart enough to know that the both of you couldn’t handle seeing one another.

You didn’t go back to your job at the club — not yet. You were suppose to go back a week ago, but you weren’t ready to face Wes or to give your best customer service. Every drink you created would taste sour or bitter.

Keeping your distance from Minseo and Minjoo was hard. They were your students and called for your attention right when they saw you. Their smiles of delight when they saw you crushed the final pieces of your heart. You had to excuse yourself to the bathroom the first day you were back because you couldn’t contain your tears. You didn’t deserve them.

However, the Monday of the new week, they didn’t show up to school or the following days. They always had perfect attendance, unless something happened to them.

Christmas Eve 2017:

We hadn’t meant to be gone this long, it was supposed to be a quick salt and burn. Five days and four graves dug later, we finally found the son of a bitch.

It’s getting late, the roads are dark and slow going with the snow and the sleet. Y/N’s sitting in the passenger’s seat, dozing off against the window. She’s exhausted. She’s been sick for a few weeks on and off, just hasn’t been feeling herself.

One more hour and we’re home.

She laughs low, “You remember this song?”

243.“I brought you an umbrella.”
244.“I’ll pick you up at the airport.”
245.“Take a deep breath.”
246.“Be careful.”
247.“I love you.”
248.“I just wanted to make you happy.”
249.“I don’t trust you”
250.“Come with me.”
251.“Do I make you happy?”
252.“You hide it with jokes and sarcasm but I can see how broken you are.”
253.“Can I borrow a shirt to wear?”
254.“I needed someone and… you were the only one I thought of.”
255.“It’s 3am!”
256.“You forgot my birthday?!”
257.“Let me in.”
258.“I need you.”
259.“You can fix this, right?”
260.“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you!”
261.“You look like you’re about to cry. What’s happened?”
262.“I’m scared.”
263.“You’re alive?”
264.“Stay awake.”
265.“You can’t say things like that… Not anymore.”
266.“Let me help you.”
267.“I was so alone… and then I met you.”
268.“You’re an idiot.”
269.“Let’s just lay here a little longer.”
270.“Come here.”
271.“You look at yourself and see nothing but when I look at you… I see everything.”
272.“Just, trust me, okay?”
273.“I can’t promise anything.”
274.“I miss you.”
275.“Why did I ever think talking to you was a good idea?!”
276.“What’s happening to us?”
277.“Can we just go for a drive or something? Like we used to?”
278.“What does it feel like; love?”
279.“I’m not good with words.”
280.“You’re hurt.”
281.“Stop trying to be the hero all the time and just be you.”
282.“That’s why I love you.”
283."You couldn’t save him/her.“
284."I want to hate you, I do, but god, I can’t hate you; not even a little bit. Not even at all.”
285.“Don’t you say that… not you.”
286.“I know it’s 3 in the morning, but I can’t find my cat.”
287.“Make me.”
288.“Is that my shirt?”
289.“If you walk out that door… don’t you ever come back.”
290.“Don’t you die on me.”
291.“Please… just leave me alone.“
292.“I can’t keep fighting like this.”
293.“I need you.“
294.“Where were you when I needed you?”
295.“Will you just shut up for a minute and let me think?!”
296.“I just want you to be happy.”
297.“It’s time to say goodbye.“
299.“I don’t want to hurt you.”
300.“Just shut up and kiss me.“
301.“Ignore me, I didn’t see anything.”
302.“I wish I could stop loving you.“
303.“I’m scared.”
304.“I’ll protect you no matter what… even if it kills me.“
305.“You knocked on my door at 1 in the morning, to cuddle?”
306.“I can’t do this without you.”
307.“Love is stupid.“
308.“I trusted you.”
309.“No, please don’t!”
310.“I’m not gonna let you get yourself killed!”
311.“I’m with you okay? Always.“
312.“I thought you loved me.”
313.“I told you this would happen.“
314.“What? You think you’re the only one suffering?”
315.“You’re alive?!”
316.“Don’t you try and pin this on me!”
317.“Why are you like this?”
318.“If you really love me, you’ll let me go.”
319.“Why are you looking at me like that?“
320.“I hate you”
321.“Because I love you god damn it!”
322.“Oh well good for you”
323.“I’m not gonna keep having this conversation”
324.“I could hold you forever.
325.“Every time I see you, I fall in love with you all over again.
326.“This is hard for me too!“
327.“Squeeze my hand if you can hear me.”
328.“Close your eyes.“
329.“Will you marry me?”
330.“I’m in love…shit.”
331.“Go on, I dare you!“
332.“Kiss me.”
333.“I’d rather die.”
334.“Please… I need you.“
335.“Mom says if you blow up the house she’s gonna put you for adoption.”
336.“I don’t have a licences to kill. I have a learner’s permit.”
337.“I didn’t do it…. Oh wait that? … Oh, that I did do.”
338.“You’re a psychopath.” “I prefer creative.”
339.“Your existence gives me a headache. Go stand over there.”
340.“Are you always this stupid, or is this a special occasion?”
341.“You gotta stop doing that.” “Doing what?” “Things that make me wanna kiss you.”
342.“Excuse me, I have to go make a scene.”
343.“Why are they all afraid of you?”
344.“Wow somebody needs a happy meal.”
345.“Don’t you have to be stupid somewhere else?” “Not until four.”
346.“Oh my god, you’re in love!”
347.“Can I kill him?” “No…” “Just a little bit?”
348.“Technically it wasn’t on fire.” “Of course it wasn’t on fire! you completely blew it up!”
349.“Hand over the girl!” “Not gonna happen.”
350.“This is why we can’t have nice things!”
351.“Why are you hiding behind me? What did you do?”
352.“Shut up.” “I didn’t say anything.” “Don’t care, Shut up.”
353.“This weather is almost as cold as my heart.”
354.“Well ‘scuse me, your Grand High Fluffiness.”
355.“So you’re the guy who saved my life?”
356.“Hear my heartbeat? Just focus on that.”
357.“When is a monster not a monster?” “When you love it.”
358.“You know they’re gonna use the things you love against you.”
359.“Where is he!” “My lady…” “Answer me!”
360.“Wanting McDonald’s is not an emergency.” “Sure it is.”
361.“Did I say you could make me have feelings for you?”
362.“I love you.”
363.“Don’t leave me,”
364.“Fuck it.”
365.“I was just kind of hoping that you’d, y’know…fall in love with me.”
366.“When I said ‘Whatever helps you sleep at night.’ I didn’t mean this.”
367.“You know…that’s not what an apology sounds like.”
368.“I love you from the bottom of my heart, but I don’t trust your cooking. Stay out of my kitchen.”
369.“I am under no obligation to make sense to you.”
370.“I taught you how to pick locks, and this is how you use that skill?”
371.“There are only so many times I can watch you break before I start to crack.”
372.“We wouldn’t be having this
conversation if you had just listened.”
373.“We need to talk about your life choices.”
374.“Stop getting crumbs all over my bed.”
375.“I’m sure that sounded different in your head, but please never say that again.”
376.“Well, if you had woken up properly the first time I kicked you, I wouldn’t have had to do it four more times.”
377.“We shouldn’t be here.”
378.“I think I broke him.”
379.“If we get arrested, it’s your fault.”
380.“All I know is, one of us is right, the other is you.”
381.“Don’t. Move.”
382.“I will be the first to tell you I’m a terrible liar.”
383.“So why did I have to punch that guy?”
384.“You’ve got to stop saying that.”
385.“You just give off the impression that you want to murder everyone you look at.”
386.“You’re lucky you’re cute…”
387.“Are you always like this or is today a special occasion?”
388.“Oh, so you’re on their side now?”
389.“If someone gets nosy, just shoot ‘em.” “Shoot them?” “Politely.”
390.“Can I ask a dumb question?”
“Better than anyone I know.”
391.“Shut up.”
“I didn’t say anything!”
“Don’t care. Shut up.”
392.“How long have you been standing there?”
“Longer than you’d like.”
393.“Do you even know how to drive this thing?!”
“Considering the fact that I almost flew us into that building, I’m going to assume you know the answer.”
394.“This is bad.”
“You said that already.”
“It seemed worth repeating.”
395.“You’re really drunk right now.”
“No I’m not, you’re just blurry.”
396.“Come here.”
“Just come here.”
“No. You’re gonna hit me.”
397.“Don’t you have to be stupid somewhere else?”
“Not until four.”
398.“Well, this is a nice change of scenery.”
“It’s a jail cell.”
“I was being sarcastic.”
399.“You don’t have to do this.”
“I wish that were true.”
400.“What now?”
“I don’t know, I didn’t think we’d get this far.”
401.“You look…”
“Beautiful, I know. Can we move on?”
402.“You’ve gotta stop doing that.”
“Saying things that make me want to kiss you.”
403.“When did you become so smart, oh wise one?”
“Since I stopped listening to you.”
404.“I thought you forgot about me.”
405.“Give it to me.”
“Only if you promise not to kill anyone with it.”
406.“Do you trust me?”
407.“You’re smarter than you look.”
408.“I think I’m dying. Well, actually, I don’t know if I’m dying, but I can’t exactly feel my legs.”
409.“I’ll do anything- literally anything- if you would just would let me use it.”
410.“…. What the hell happened here?”
411.“Where did all of these puppies come from?”
412.“I love you more than food. And trust me, I love food.”
413.“Do not throw me into the lake, fuck y-”
414.“I love you to the moon and back, actually, if we were being realistic, it’d be to the next galaxy and back.”
415.“Stop talking- more shots.”
416.“Where did you put my clothes?”
417.“Maybe you should try understanding? You don’t have it the way I do.”
418.“I think I love you, of course it just could be the sedatives talking, but I’m pretty sure.”
419.“Get out.”
420.“You’re mine, and only mine. In the least objectifying sense of the phrase, of course.”
421.“When I said ‘dare’, that was not one of the things I agreed to!”
422.“I hate that I love you.”
423.“Who said anything about kids?!”
424.“Didn’t think you liked to sing in the shower.”
425.“At night, if you’re not in my bed, it feels so empty. In fact, when you’re not here, my life feels incomplete.”
426.“Does it hurt?”
427“Do you really expect me to believe that?”
428“Oh, wow, aren’t you quite the charmer?”
430.“Well I guess it’s time to go make a scene.”

Unfaithful: One Day (Bill Skarsgård)

Part 4

Last night was horrible to say the least. Running into Bill had ruined her night, a night she was excited about, desperately needed and pulled herself together for, which made her all the more upset. Today she was going to a café for lunch with Maddie and Victoria, the latter was about to pick her up in a few minutes. She knew that she was not going to bump into Bill and that made the idea a whole lot more appealing.

She had just finished applying her makeup when there was a knock on the door, breaking her from her thoughts.

After quickly wrapping a scarf around her neck, she hurried to the front door.

‘It’s going to be a good day, a very good day. No more surprises; no more Bill.’ She thought, unlocking the door and twisting the knob before pulling the door open fully.

So much for no surprises.

She shifted uncomfortably where she stood.

She had told him that he could see her another time, she just didn’t think he would actually remember. He was completely wasted after all.

“Y/N-” Bill began.

“I’m going out for lunch with friends.” She blurted out.

He stuck his hands into his jacket pockets, looking down at her with a shy expression.

“Are you?” He wondered, softly.

She reached for her black trench coat, which laid disregarded on the stool instead of its usual place on a hook; she had simply tosses it aside when she got home the previous night, in no mood to care for such frivolous tasks.

She slipped the dark fabric over her body before knotting this ties around her waist and grabbing her purse.

“Yes.” She said, sternly. “Just like yourself, I’m an open book.”

His eyebrows furrowed.

“Would you rather I not have told you? Just waited until the truth somehow came out?”

She sighed, crossing her arms around her waist.

“No. I wish you hadn’t have slept with someone.” She retorted, expression becoming harder.

He knew that he was in the wrong, she had every reason to be mad at him, never want to see him again. Yet, he still wanted to be apart of her life; he was going to get her back, no matter what.

His pale green eyes settled on hers.

“When will we talk about it?” He pressed.

She looked down at her feet. Would she ever be ready to discuss things with him? Wouldn’t it just set off another wave of emotions? She did not want to feel anymore. However, she owed it to him to at least speak civilly like adults.

“Okay.” She agreed, meeting his gaze once again.

He exhaled deeply.

Was he nervous?

“Are you available on Friday?” He asked, looking down at her smaller frame.

He got a nod in return.

“Does dinner at Amore’s sound good? Seven o'clock?”

Everything hurt then. Amore’s was a tiny Italian café just off the water in Old Town, where they had many of their dates, one of which was the most memorable.

The chairs were rustic wood, vines adorned the patchy brick walls of the outdoor seating area and the lighting was always dim, as to not interfere with the small candle in the middle of the table. Yes, Amore’s was the best old-fashioned Italian restaurant in all of Sweden.

She fiddled her fingers nervously, the waiter having taken their orders a few minutes ago, leaving her with an important question to ask him.

“Bill?” She spoke, quietly.

He nodded whilst chewing on some bread dipped in an olive oil and balsamic concoction.

She knew what words she needed to say, they were fairly simple, yet the concept was not; it was life changing.

He noticed her internal fretting and placed his large hand over her smaller one, running his thumb over the back of her hand.

“What’s up?” He asked, trying to be casual to downplay whatever emotion she was feeling.

She looked up at him and bit her lip.

“I… I was wondering if you maybe… wanted to move in together?” She spoke, shyly.

His full lips cracked into a smile and he laced his fingers with hers.

“Of course I do.” He assured her, beaming a wide smile.

She was hesitant for a second longer: “Are you sure? I mean you don’t have to. I was just throwing it out there as a possibility.”

He laughed, that beautiful, deep laugh that melted all of her fears; he wanted this too.

“I’m certain.” He confirmed.

She allowed herself to smile and squeezed his hand back, glad that they could finally begin a journey that would last them the rest of their lives.

“Y-Yeah, sure.” She agreed.

He had just opened his mouth to speak when a voice came from behind him.

“Bill?” Victoria asked, knowing fully well it was him. Her voice was stronger and far more stern than her usual tone, wondering why he would be at her best friend’s door.

He turned his body around halfway to give the raven haired woman a nod, to which she only looked at him suspiciously.

“We’re uh- going to be late.” She told her friend, looking past Bill.

Y/N nodded, “Of course. Let me grab my keys and we can head out.”

With an awkward look to Bill, she strode into the living room, picked up her keys from the leather sofa, then went back to the door. When she returned, she noticed that he looked incredibly uncomfortable as well.

“I’ll uh- being seeing you, I guess.” He said, nervously.

She played with the frigid silver keys in her hand and nodded.

“Friday.” She confirmed.

He nodded before agreeing, “Friday.”

She gave him a nervous half-smile before stepping out of the apartment beside him. He turned to leave, only to be met with Victoria’s dark expression; if looks could kill, he was a dead man. He swallowed and walked down the hall, out of sight.

Once she finished locking her apartment, she turned to her friend and looked at her, absolutely dumbfounded; she had not expected to encounter Bill twice in the space of less than twenty-four hours.

“What did he want?” Victoria asked, sharply.

Y/N stuffed her keys into her purse and the two began to stroll down the long hallway to the elevators.

“He wants to talk about what happened.” She explained, calmly.

Her friend only snorted.

“I couldn’t even begin to guess what he plans on saying. He’s an asshole who doesn’t deserve your time, why even meet up with him?” Victoria questioned.

She sighed and pressed the down arrow on the elevator before looking at her friend.

“I promised him last night.” She confessed.

Victoria’s eyes went wide, “You spoke to him?”

She fiddled with the ends of the ties on her coat, not wanting to speak about the previous night in the rain. She just wanted to focus on something other than Bill, something that lunch at the café would provide.

“Yes. He saw me leaving the bar and ran after me, begging to speak with me soon. I only agreed because he was so drunk, I thought he wouldn’t even remember.” She admitted.

Victoria seemed lost in thought.

“Anyways, can we just have a peaceful lunch? I’m in no mood to think about him anymore.”

Her friend instantly smiled, just as the elevator doors slid open. The pair stepped inside and Victoria pushed the “GROUND” floor button, causing the lift to begin it’s trek to the reception.

“Agreed. No more Bill for the day.” Victoria promised.

She truly did have the greatest friend.

He pressed her against the wall with one hand, while closing the door with the other.

She reached down to unbuckle the strap of her heels, until a strong hand pulled her body back upright.

“Bill!” She squealed, back hitting the wall again.

He captured her lips with his own, taking her smaller hands into his and pushing them up the wall.

“Bill.” She whined, arms almost completely straight.

His eyes gleamed at the sight of her; thin blazer falling off her shoulder, wisps of hair covering her forehead and eyes looking right into his.

“We don’t even have sheets yet.” She tried to reason.

His expression caused her to giggle; he didn’t care if there were bed sheets or not, he wanted to have her in their new home.

She allowed him to pick her up by her legs and slung her arms around his neck, lips meeting his again. They kissed feverishly as he made his way to their bedroom, her hands running through his already messy locks.

The apartment was painted completely white, the “Classic Eight” as they call it; you see the whole house “naked” before choosing your palette, something she thought sounded incredibly fancy when put that way.

He tossed her onto the mattress, a smile forming on his lips when he saw her look around the room before laughing at the fact that the only piece on furniture in the whole bedroom was the boxspring, headboard and mattress.

His lips crashed back down on hers when he slipped on top of her, careful to not put too much of his weight on her body.

“I like it.” She said between kisses.

He ground his hips into hers, eliciting a breathless moan to flow through her lips.

“I like it too. I still don’t know if it’s big enough though.” He countered, making her laugh again.

This had been quite a large discussion point when it came to the apartment.

“It’s plenty. Plus, I don’t know how many children you think I’m going to have, but it won’t be enough to warrant another home.” She giggled, feeling his lips place soft kisses along her sensitive neck.

He pulled back to look her in the eye, raising one of his brows.

“You are not getting six children. I still don’t know how your mother did it.” She confessed, taking ahold of his arms and pulling him back down on top of her.

He slid a hand up her inner thighs while his lips moved with hers.

“Yet, she got six wonderful children.” He teased, overdoing it on the 'wonderful.’

She snorted and moved his hand away from her legs.

“Yes, five wonderful children.”

He pulled back and gave her a faux sour look, “Just five?”

She nodded.

“Mhm.” She hummed, lips curling into a playful grin.

He sat up before slipping her dark-wash jeans down her legs, discarding her laced black underwear on the floor as well.

His usually pale eyes were darker than normal, but still had a glint of good humour. His hand ran down her stomach, right to her heat. Instantly, he slipped his fingers through her slick folds and curled them upwards inside of her. Her eyes shut and she allowed her head to fall back against the mattress.

“Which of the five can do this to you?” He wondered, tone dripping with mischief.

She moaned as he hit a particularly sensitive spot inside of her and he kept on with it, pumping those deliciously long fingers deep inside of her until she spoke.

“None.” She whispered, eyes closed and hands attempting to grab a hold of the bed as best as she could.

“I’m sorry?” He asked, pretending to not quite hear her.

She continued to squirm under his touch, those fingers swirling and dipping inside of her.

“None of them.” She repeated, louder this time.

He smiled at the sight of his lover before him, “Open your eyes, Baby.”

She did and was met with his gorgeous green ones before he bent down, fingers still penetrating her, and pressed his lips to hers.

She clung to him desperately, glad to finally be able to touch him as he moved his digits in and out of her.

One exceptionally hard push had her eyes closed again and she murmured, “One day…”

He took his fingers from her and lifted his tall body off of her, reaching to the hem of his shirt to tug it off. With one swift motion, his shirt was off and his hands were at his belt, undoing the buckle before slipping it out of the loops of his trousers.

“One day?” He pressed, wanting her to finish.

His pants fell to the ground along with his boxers and he climbed back on top of her. She ran a hand through his clean hair, tracing her fingers down to his jaw.

“One day we’ll have kids of our own, beautiful children who grow up and fall in love, just like us.” She spoke, feeling his smooth skin.

His lips spread into the most undeniably happy smile he had ever given her, which she reciprocated, placing her hand on the back of his neck.

“You’ll be an incredibly mother.” He said, earnestly.

She gave his lips a chaste kiss.

“You’ll be the most amazing father. One day.”

With that, the couple went back to their lovemaking, thinking that some day, they will bear children of their own.

Lunch was pleasant, the quaint café had the most delightful sandwiches, soups and salads that the group munched on.

Yet she felt sick to her stomach, unable to shake off Bill’s unexpected visit earlier that day. She tried to enjoy her food, but ended up only picking at it, not in the mood for too much. The thoughts wouldn’t stop and she truly thought that this man would be the death of her; he consumed her everything.

She had stressed herself so much that she had to excuse herself to the washroom. Bending over the porcelain toilet, she hurled until she could throw up no more. Damn, him.

She returned to their table, utterly exhausted. What she really needed was a nice, steaming mug of tea and a television to wash away her fears.

When she made it home, she did exactly that.

Tea at Three -5-

Rating: Teen and up for blood and bodily injury

This is the fifth and final part of a five-part series. Links at the bottom of the page for the other parts.

♡ ♡ And thank you soo so much for reading!!! ♡ ♡

Draco’s shoes clicked across the polished marble floors of St. Mungo’s, the sound seeming too loud in the quiet front hall. About half the chairs along the walls were filled, some with families, worry etched on their faces, and some with reporters, wearing the expressions of hungry jackals, notebooks and quick quills clutched in jittery hands. Draco ignored them all and was completely ignored in turn. Luckily the press didn’t seem to know he was involved in yesterdays fiasco.

He went to the cafeteria first and got a mug of hot water. He carefully put the little sachet of Harry’s tea leaves in the hot water, watching the clock closely to make sure it was steeped for exactly the amount stated on the box.

“Mr Malfoy!”

Draco tore his eyes away from the clock, “Healer Maison,” he tipped his head in greeting.

Maison pushed his glasses up with one hand as he approached,  “Glad to see you! I’ve been through your work, several times in fact.” He held out his hand and after a moment’s hesitation, Draco took it. Maison shook it enthusiastically, “Brilliant work! A shame the hospital ignored it for so long. It’s going to save a lot of lives.”

Draco fell momentarily speechless, “Of-of course. I hope to continue improving it.”

“A stasis spell that doesn’t need a healer to cast it? It couldn’t be much better!”Healer Maison went on excitedly, “The slowing of the metabolic process means that most damage can be healed-”

Draco glanced at the clock. Swearing silently at the time and carefully extracting the tea bag from the cup.

“-before it ever becomes a problem and on those wasting illness’ that require stasis we will no longer have to worry about running our healers ragged and splitting their attention! In emergency situations-”

He added sugar and milk, stirred and put a preservation charm over the mug.

“-a potion can be administered at the scene or by a medi-witch without having to wait for a healer and those precious minutes can be enough to save a life, you know.”

“Yes, well, if you’ll excuse me I’m-” Draco said, turning to leave.

“Are you here to see Auror Rowena?” Maison asked.

“Potter, actually,” Draco said.

Healer Maison straightened and gestured to the doors, “Ah! I was just headed that way myself. Shall we walk together?”

Draco would have quite gladly refused if had any clue whatsoever about where Potter was. He nodded, “After you.”

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3

They rolled off one another, the heavy breaths filling the room. She just moaned a bit to grab his attention. Of course Harry had no interest with her, again, she was just a fuck. He just wanted to slip; get rid of this sweat and tell her to go away.

“That was fun.” she stated, going to lie on her side, looking at him. Harry’s hand was behind his head as he stared to the ceiling. He didn’t want to have the whole after talk, about it all. He just wanted to sleep.

“Come on, baby,” she said, placing her hand on his cheek.

“Addison, I’m not your baby. I’m not anything to you,” he grumbled, ignoring her actions. All she did was huff and puff; turning away.

“You always ruin the fun,” she grumbled back. Harry closed his eyes lightly, trying his best to block out her voice.

“Addison, can you please go. You know the routine,” he said, still in his position; he hadn’t even looked over once.

“Fine. I’ll see you at work in the morning,” she said, rolling out of the bed to put clothes on.

She laughed at his joke. (Y/N) hasn’t seen Harry all day, and it was lunch time. During the course of the morning, she was invited for lunch with Scott. It wasn’t date, it simply was, ‘let’s go get sandwiches at a coffee shop, and head back’ kind of thing. And, to her it was good.

It was good for her to try something new, to try and socialise to make new friends; she liked it. So (Y/N) laughed at his joke, a smile creeping on her face that has never existed for a while. They were so close together, while walking back.Their shoulders brush against one another, and fingertips touched once in awhile. She was happy; simply happy. And, it was good for her.

The two of them exited their ways after lunch, her having to return to an office that had no boss in at the moment. She just filled reports, and talked to some clients; telling them Mr Styles was not available at the moment. It was a repeatable process and she was glad that Scott took her away from that.

(Y/N) sat down on the chair that faced a grand entry door; it was Harry’s office. The windows behind her showed the city in it’s peakest hours, and you could see small yellow dots, signaling taxis that roamed the streets. His desk was huge; every single thing was lined in order and nothing was on his desk beside a telephone and a locked laptop. The desk laid on a step higher from the floor; a signalment of power. It was spick and span. She sat, placing her arms out and just move them to the end; a sign of power and independence, something she craved. (Y/N) giggled to herself.

Adrien was disappointed.

He tapped his foot against the floor, hands clasped together on the mahogany table and head hung low. A sigh fell from his lips, which were tugged downwards in a frown, and he momentarily closed his eyes. This was certainly awkward.

His father was late for dinner. Very late. So late that Adrien had received plenty of time to mull over the notion that he might not even turn up at all.

There was his plate, right next to Adrien’s, steam rising up from the chicken and green vegetables that sat lifelessly upon it. Adrien poked at his own food, stabbing a floret of broccoli and twirling it around on his fork, considering beginning his meal on his own before he set his silverware down and leaned back into his chair with a huff.

Of course Gabriel was late. It wasn’t like this was important to his son or anything. Adrien wasn’t taking a big step in life that he wanted to discuss with his father or something. Not at all! Gabriel’s absence wasn’t a big deal.

(Except it was. It was and Adrien hated himself for feeling upset when he’d known this would most likely be the outcome in the first place.)

A Walk in the Park

Characters: Tom Holland - Harrison Osterfield - Tessa - Y/N

Request: “one where tom is protective of you.” - anon

Notes: i didn’t think i was going to be able to finish this but I did! omg i really hope you guys like it!

“Okay, so your turn, Y/n.”

“My turn for what?” You ask from the backseat.

Tom and Haz sit in the frontseats of the Audi while you and Tessa take whatever little room is left in the back. The roof is down and the afternoon sunset is shining down on all four of you.

“To choose the next song!” Harrison turns in his seat to face you.

You smirk at him and then at Tom’s reflection in the rearview mirror. You wiggle your eyebrows and Haz rolls his eyes, laughing, before sitting back straight in his seat.

“How many more times do you have to listen to this song before you grow tired of it?” Tom asks as he hands his phone over to Haz so he can put the song. He glances at you through the rearview mirror before looking at the road.

“Never! It’s honestly the best song to listen to while you’re on the road like this,” you reply. Tessa barks her agreement and you laugh, scratching her behind the ears.

Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon starts to play but not loud enough. You push yourself forward and reach across to turn up the volume. Haz and Tom laugh at you just as you plop back on your seat. You start to sing along and soon enough, the boys join along with you.

Tom finally parks the car in an empty slot. You look around and see people with their dogs, people running, children playing in a playground.

You weren’t really keen to come to the park when the boys first asked you. They wanted to go for a long run when you could barely even walk to the fridge for a drink. But after Tom’s consistent begging, you finally agree but under one condition; that Tom brings Tessa along.

So now here you are, hopping out the car and grabbing Tessa’s leash. Tom and Haz begin to walk towards the beginning of a trail and you follow behind them, already regretting your decision.

“Can’t I just stay here with Tessa?? There’s a lot of people here just sitting with their dogs,” you say.

“You promised you were going to run with us!” Tom replies.

“I did no such thing!” You laugh, “I promised I would come here with you guys.”

“What if something happens?” Tom says in a serious tone that catches you off guard.

You make a confused face and then chuckle, “In a park? Where there’s a lot of people? I have Tessa with me!”

That doesn’t seem to convince Tom, though. You find it weird that he’s acting this way. You’ve been best friends for so long but he’s never given much importance as to if you were alone or not.

Harrison taps his chest, “She’ll be fine, mate. We won’t take long.”

You smile big and turn to walk towards the playground.

“Y/n!” You face Tom. “Just.. you know? Be careful and stuff.”

You roll your eyes and walk away from both of them,
Tessa trotting next to you. “Your human is acting really weird, Tessa.”

She barks and you laugh at how cute and adorable she is. You start to play around with her, throwing sticks for her to catch and even letting her jump into the small dog pool.

You don’t realize that time has passed and the sky was now turning a soft blue. The children are long gone and less people were now running past. You’re sitting on the grass with Tessa’s head on your lap.

“They’re taking too long,” you tell Tessa. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they got lost.”

You start to glance around, slightly worried, trying to see any hint of them. You spot a small concession stand on the other side and suddenly your throat goes dry.

“We should get them some waters for when they come back,” you speak out loud and stand up and make your way to the concession stand.

On your walk there, time seems to speed up as the sky becomes darker and darker and the people become fewer and fewer. You’re not someone who gets scared easily but you still notice the small creepy feeling from behind you as if somebody’s watching you.

There’s a line when you arrive and so you wait patiently. Tessa begins to growl next to you. “Tessa? Not another squirrel, please.”

You face forward again and it’s then that you feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You feel someone watching you but you choose to ignore, convincing yourself that it was just your mind playing tricks.

“Damn, I’ve never seen such a perfect ass.”

Your heart accelerates and not in a good way. You keep facing forward, not giving it any attention.

“Hey babe! You with the tight ass! I’d like you to face me when I’m talking to you!”

You cringe at his words and step forward just a tiny bit.

“That’s not the proper way to say thank you when a guy is complimenting you.”

Fuck. It’s dark now. Tom and Harrison are nowhere to be seen and you had no idea what to do once you got what you needed from the concession stand.

It’s time to go.

“Come on, Tessa,” you whisper to her and pulled on her leash as you fast walk the path back to the car.

You can’t hear if he’s following you but you take no chance in glancing over your shoulder to check.

Almost there.

Your heart jumped up to your throat. A thick and strong arm wrapped around your shoulder. Only one person did that to you but this was not someone familiar. Tessa remained calm, apparently thinking this was someone close to you.

“Where you goin’? I wanted to talk. How about I give you and your… dog? A ride back home?”

You look straight ahead and shake your head. “No, thank you. I came here in my car and I’d really appreciate it if you took your hands off me.”

He laughed the cruelest laugh you ever heard. “You’re funny, babe. You should appreciate that a guy like me would even be touching you. Hey,” his fingers find your chin and they force you, painfully, to finally look at him.

His features are rough, his eyes dark and frightening. His sneer made him look like a mad animal. “Let. Go. Of. Me.”

You push him away and dart towards the direction of the car when his fingers close around your arm and he pulls you towards him. You collide with his chest and you cry out in pain. His hand finds your jaw and he holds your face steady. His musty breath washes over your face and it makes bile rise up in your throat.

“No bitch is going to tell me what to do. Huh? Did you listen? No bitch!”

His sneer was back and he was inching closer. You knew what was going to happen but every time you try to pull away, his hand only tightens its grip on you. You feel like crying but did not dare show weakness. So instead, you shut your eyes and suck in your lips.

You’re surprised when he lets go of your arm and your face and his smell completely disappears. You open your eyes slowly, still wary.

Tom pushes the creep hard on his chest so that he ends up on his ass. “You keep your fucking hands off my girl!”

The asshole just laughs as he gradually stands up. He fixes his shirt and steps closer to Tom. Tom’s hands are balled up into fists but he stands tall and firm. Even from here you can see the clenching of his jaw.

“Y/n, let’s go to the car.” Harrison whispers next to you as he takes Tessa’s leash from your hand.

You shake your head and stay still as you watch the scene in front of you.

“Oh really?” The creep continues, “Your girl, huh? Why was she alone? Seems like the bitch was looking for some di-”

He doesn’t finish his sentence as Tom’s fist comes flying across the air and makes impact with his jaw. You gasp and immediately run forward.

“Shut your fucking mouth, you low-life son of a bitch! I swear I’ll knock off every fucking tooth so the only shit that comes out of you will be from your ass!”

He had knocked him straight down to the ground. The creep was holding his face, not even attempting to stand up again.

“Tom,” you whisper to him. You reach out and grab his arm to get his attention. His head turns to you and nothing but pure rage inflames his eyes but they soon turn soft once they wash over your eyes and he realizes you’re okay. “Please. He’s not worth it. I’m okay. Let’s just go home, please.”

“Did he hurt you?” His whole body is facing you now, the creep on the floor, bleeding, long forgotten. His hands find your face and he caresses it gently, nothing compared to how someone was holding it not even ten minutes ago.

You try to smile a convincing smile and nod, “I’m fine. Now that you’re here. So let’s go, okay?”

He nods and you take his hand and pull him with you towards the car. Harrison and Tessa walk ahead of you.

“Did you get lost?” You ask, trying to take his mind off of what had just happened.

“Um, yeah. We tried to take a new route and lost the trail. I should have been here-”

You shake your head. “It’s fine Tom. We’re okay now.”

“Hey,” his hand squeezes your fingers gently and stops you. You turn around to face him and he walks up to you. “I should have been here. I’m sorry that I wasn’t. I’m sorry that I haven’t been for the past several months. If something had happened to you… Shit, I don’t even want to think about what that fuck would have done if we hadn’t gotten here on time. I just-”

He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath before he wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you to his chest. You feel his lips softly press on your forehead before his arms completely wrap around you.

It’s amazing how one person’s touch makes you feel so safe and comforted. Everything that had happened in the past half hour comes flooding back and you completely let go in his arms. You don’t hold back your sobs as you cry into his chest. You think about what could have happened if he hadn’t gotten there in time. What the fucking asshole could have done to Tessa if she tried to do something.

Tom holds you tightly against him, the stars and the moon shining down on you, his hand cradling the back of your head as he ushers sweet words into your hair, “I promise you that I will never leave you alone again. Mark my words that I will give my life before letting anything happen to you.”

Operation Soulmate | Nine

Pairings: Steve x Reader || Bucky x Reader || Steve x Bucky || Bucky x Nat

Summary: Truths are revealed.

Warnings: Hospitals, love confessions, some much-needed fluff?

Notes: For @marvelous-fvcks‘ writing challenge, with the prompt ‘Heart’. In the last few chapters, I broke your hearts, so now I’m gonna try to patch them up. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this series as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it. Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated!

and side note: I love the acronym I came up with.

Operation Soulmate Masterlist

Everything hurts.

Serenity, and the comfort of darkness has given way to a dull ache in your chest, that throbs in time with the beat of your heart.

On the bright side, at least you’re not dead.

You take stock of the situation. You’re lying on a fairly firm mattress and between your fingertips, you can feel starchy, slightly stiff sheets. There’s a chemical scent in the air that is reminiscent of antiseptic soap — you must be in a hospital, or possibly the med bay. You can make out the gentle beeping and whirring of machines somewhere on your left side, and you can feel the tubes attached to your right arm. A cannula rests beneath your nose, delivering oxygen to your lungs. Someone is holding your right hand.

Love Is Not A Victory March

I’m sorry that this is not a prompt (I promise I haven’t abandoned them) but I had this idea in my mind after yesterday’s episode and I just had to write it. I don’t even know what this is, I’m just an angst addict, so yeah that’s pretty angsty but truly romantic at the end.

Silver heels clicked rhythmically down the brick steps of Pop’s entrance, halo blonde hair swaying in the wind and a sea of Evening Haze satin leaving a trail of feminine elegancy with every determined step she took. At that very moment Betty Cooper looked like a heroine straight out of a John Hughes movie; effortlessly beautiful, politely innocent and a heartbreaking damsel in distress, ready to be swiped off her feet by her lovely prince charming in the form of the misunderstood high school loner. However, reality was far from that. She didn’t need to be saved. This time, it was the misunderstood high school loner that sought salvation, that needed more than ever a heroine that would grab his hand while drowning and pull him to surface again, away from his demons, away from the darkness that seemed to surround his golden soul. Betty could, would, be that heroine for him.

love-life-and-wanderlust-deacti  asked:

Yo can I have headcanons/short scenario for the gang finding out their girlfriends were injured and in the hospital? (Each character's girlfriend got injured in their own way, they were jumped, car crash, abuse, attempted suicide, etc.)

okay, so this might suck so sorry in advance. also, i’m not sure if this is what you want, it might be too fluffy, so i’m so so so sorry :( hope you like it!!

warnings: abuse & suicide & swearing

sodapop: it had been two days since the incident. on wednesday, you were working late so soda, being the amazing boyfriend he was, decided to cook dinner for you. it smelled great, however, soda unfortunately forgot about your major peanut allergy. the grilled chicken he made contained peanut oil, which had caused you to pass out cold. you didn’t realize what was happening until you woke up two days later in the hospital with soda by your side.
when you first opened your eyes, soda shed a few tears. it had scared him so much to see you pass out, and to have all the medical equipment strapped up to you to help you breathe. he was so glad that his baby was okay, but also very guilty.
“baby, i’m so sorry. i’m such a bad boyfriend, i don’t deserve you, i’m so so sorry you had to go through that, i will never forgive myself,” he said, tears in his eyes.
you giggled and caressed his soft cheek, “soda don’t say that. i love you with all mu being and i am so lucky to have you.”
he gently took your hand and kissed it, promising himself he would never do that again.

dally: you ran as fast as you could out of that house. you were never going back. you have had enough of your father mentally beating you up, but tonight, it was physical. your nose was bleeding and you had a black eye. you had no idea where you were going but you just wanted out. out of this town, out of your life. suddenly, you remembered dally and ran to bucks. you and dallas weren’t dating, he always was sleeping around with some girl or other but you were definitely best friends and had a strong emotional connection. you watched out for him and he did the same for you. you two would do anything for each other, but none of you would ever admit it.
by the time you got to bucks, something was up. your head felt weird and your eyes felt sunken. everyone stared at you weird while others backed away. maybe it was worse than you thought…
“holy shit y/n, what happened to you?! we cmon lets go to the hospital, this is pretty bad. holy shit, what the fuck happened?”
“it was my father he-”
dally’s grip tightened around your shoulders as he lead the way out of buck’s.
“look y/n, it makes me so mad what he does to you. you deserve so much more you know that? you could do so much more for the world and i have no fucking idea why he can’t see that. he can’t beat you up like that, its fucking wrong, you know i’m so mad right now! say the words, y/n, say the words, and he’ll be out of your life forever.”
dally began to say something else, completely enraged, but suddenly everything became blurry and quiet until everything was black and silent.
you woke up the next morning, surprisingly, dally was beside your side. there was a big bandage across your head and your mouth had a weird taste, like medicine.
“jesus, you’re awake,” dally said.
“guess i am.”
“look y/n, i was real worried about you and it just made me realize-”
i had feelings for dallas as long as i could remember. sometimes it seemed like he did too, but with dally, you never really knew.
“it made me realize how much you mean to me. how upset i’d be if you died you know? and i can’t even believe im saying this, it sounds like something fucking ponyboy would say.”
you smirked.
“what?” he asked, you could sense he was worried.
“kiss me.”

ponyboy: you heard the brake slam. your head hit the wheel. it seemed like you heard everything. the smashing of the glass, your car hitting theirs, but the most dominating of all was your screams. and everything went black.
“she’s what? what happened?”
pony felt like his heart stopped when he received the phone call from dally. he felt his fingers getting numb. y/n? his y/n? in the hospital? no. he just was with her 20 minutes ago! this can’t be happening. pony couldn’t feel his voice anymore. he ran out of the house, straight to the hospital.
“Y/N! Y/N!” he shouted as soon as he burst into the room you were.
the nurse soon had him held down, telling him you were okay, but he needed to stay calm.
“ponyboy. pony, i’m alright. i’m so happy you came, it was so scary, i-”
“-shhh, honey. you need to rest. im here now,” he said putting his hand on your chest and began to calm down, realizing his babygirl was okay.

steve: you knew you should be scared when you heard the footsteps. you knew it wasn’t my type greasers, and you were scared.
“what’s up babyyyy..” one of them said, obviously drunk.
“s-st-stay away from me,” you imagined it would be more confident in my head, but when you said it out loud it probably just sounded like a lost little puppy. your heart was beating really fast now.
before you knew it they were beating me up, and beating me good. there were 4 of them, against you. you were pretty small and looked younger than you were. there was blood all over the place.
“let go of her!” was the last thing you heard before everything went black.
you arose a couple hours later with a nurse by your bed.
“where the hell am i?” you asked groggily.
she gently smiled and said, “hello, y/n, i’m your nurse and from what i’ve heard, you got beat up pretty badly, i’m so sorry to hear about that.”
everything came flooding back to me at once, as i felt the large bandage on my arm.
“and honey, there was this young man really worried about you, in tears even. he felt so bad, i’m gonna go call him over right now.”
steve? steve was worried about you? steve was the only one who would be, he’s your boyfriend. you felt content at the fact that steve was worried.
on cue, steve burst through the doors.
“baby! y/n! are you okay? holy crap, i’m so sorry i wasn’t there walking you home. this is all my fault-why are you smiling, did they put you on some drug?”
“no stevey, i just love you so much.”
“definitely some drug.”

johnny: (hey, i usually don’t feel very comfortable doing this, but just this one time. i’m so sorry if this offended you in any way, but there was a warning. i deal with this sort of stuff everyday and if you need someone to talk to, you can always, ALWAYS talk to me.) nothing was okay anymore. everything was falling apart. you cried and cried until you couldn’t cry anymore.
“love, love, are you okay?” my boyfriend johnny asked, obviously concerned, nervous & distraught.
shit. no. johnny did everything for me, he was my everything. he can’t see me in this state, he can’t. it’ll hurt him too much.
“i-i-i’m sorry…i-i-just-..”
he grabbed me and buried his face into the crook into my neck.
“y/n cakes, tell me what’s wrong. i love you so much you know that.”
i was hysterical, but he’s seen me like this before and he knew what was up.
“baby, don’t think like that. you know i could never live without you. i need you. i love you so much.”
i cried even more, how did i deserve him?
he picked my up bridal style, and carried me to the hospital.

two bit: you ran to the bathroom, for the eighth time today, barfing over the toilet.
your boyfriend, two-bit, rushed in after you.
“y/n. maybe we should go to the hospital, this doesn’t look too good…” two said for the hundredth time today, but this time you agreed. you felt horrible.
he brushed your hair and kissed your sweaty forehead, and guided you over to his car.
as soon as you hit the hospital bed, you fell asleep. it was deep and peaceful.
thank god, when you woke up you felt better. they gave you some nasty tasting medicine, and two rubbed your chest while you took it. it really helped that he was with you, he cracked jokes that made you feel better, and he was incredibly caring.
“you doing better, buttercup?” he asked with a playful smirk on his face.
“you betcha, keith.”

darry: the pan sizzled as you inhaled the amazing scent of garlic chicken you were cooking. suddenly, your hand slipped and the pan fell onto your left foot with a crash.
a string of loud profanities left your mouth as tears escaped from your eyes. GOD, that hurt a lot.
soda, who was the only one home immediately rushed into the kitchen.
“y/n are you alright? holy crap, that does not look good. ummmm, lets take you to the hospital and then we’ll call darry. dang, y/n i’m so sorry man that looks bad.”
he said while you were sobbing and hopping on one leg. he supported half of your weight as he dragged you to their car.
the nurse had put some numbing medication on your foot and bandaged it all up. it still burned, but it sure as hell felt better than it did before.
soda was on the phone with darry now.
“darry, yeah, so basically, y/n was cooking and the hot pan fell on her foot and she’s in the hospital. okay, it aint my fault, and its not her’s either! it was an accident!”
“hey, y/n, dars really worried. he’s gonna be over in 5.”
i gratefully smiled.
darry came sooner than i expected. he was real worried and was pacing and jumpy.
“dare bear!”
“y/n, don’t pull that crap with me. god i feel awful. i’m so sorry i had to work late. GOD that is a hue bandage. does it hurt anymore, shit.”
“darry, i’m okay now, calm down. i’ll be able to go tonight and i’ll only be on crutches for two days. i’ll be okay so just relax,” then you added, “i love you.”
he softened and sat next to me, while we spent the whole day talking while he drew shapes on my bare shoulder.
