It was the time of the year again where students of the drama club were recruited to participate in the annual school play, and with the school celebrating it’s 100th anniversary, the principal was dead serious on making this year’s play a memorable and meaningful one.

This year, however, was slightly different. The drama club would be opening up recruitments to the entire school, giving everyone a chance to take part in the play.

The chosen play for this year was Romeo and Juliet, deemed by your principal and Mrs Lee, the overall in charge of the school’s drama club, as the greatest tragedy of all time. It was no doubt an iconic tale of two star-crossed lovers who were forbidden to fall in love due to the feuding families.

Roller Coaster

Imagine request: based on Justin’s song “Roller Coaster”.

“What happened to us?” You ask, running your fingers through your hair. “One minute we’re happy but next thing you know we’re fighting!” You say frustrated, you didn’t mean to raise your voice at him but it was the truth and you wanted to change that. Justin looks at you as he remains silent. You look at him and sigh. “I don’t want that…I don’t want that for us.”

Justin bites his lower lip trying his best to contain his emotions but you were able to see right through him. “So what now? We’re over?” He asks all of a sudden, taking you by surprise.

“I didn’t say that.” You say looking at him.

Justin shakes his head before lookinfg directly at you. “Y/N I know you’re not happy…and don’t you fucking dare try to deny it.” He says sternly, causing a lump in your throat as he continues to speak.
“It hurts me to say this but if neither one of us happy, and I for one can’t even make you happy anymore…then honestly what’s the point of saving this relationship?” He says quietly, before looking down. You knew it was coming to this, you knew if this conversation kept going something would happen that you would regret at the end. You tried your best to speak but no words were coming out.

After a few moments of silence, you shake your head chuckling a it. “You’re joking right?”

Justin looks at you, as you tried to search for some signs but nothing…just complete emptiness and numbness from him. “I wish I was.” He says, and you felt your insides tighten. Every word he said was just making the situation worse and you didn’t like it.

You try your best to hold back your tears. You run your fingers through your hair once again which was your common habit whenever you felt stressed or anxious. You couldn’t comprehend what was going on but you knew at the end one of us it going to end up hurt. “No,” you blurt out. Justin looks at you confused. “What?” He asks, this time his full attention on you.

You look at him hurt. “What’s the point of saving this relationship?! Justin for crying out loud I want to save this relationship because I love you, I actually want this to work-”

“So do I, and you know that.” Justin says cutting you off. You couldn’t tell what he was feeling because he didn’t display any sign or emotion.

You chuckle shaking your head. “Do I? Because just 2 minutes ago you told me that this wasn’t worth saving…so how can I be with someone who isn’t willing to fight for me nor put effort into this relationship?” You say as a few tears fall from your eyes. You physically felt the pain that was rising from your chest. You felt hopeless and stupid arguing over something that you know at the end one of you is going to regret.

“Y/N, I just want you happy. You’re the one who said that we constantly fight and I don’t want that for you…” he says calmly, which caused you to roll your eyes. You hated the fact that he was trying to play the good guy when in reality he’s just doing more damage.

“Yes I did say we constantly fight but what couple doesn’t? I wanted to talk….that’s all I wanted.” You say mumbling the last part but you knew he heard you because his face fell.

“Y/N…” he begins to say but you shake your head.
“No you’re absolutely right, I mean,
all we do is fight. So what’s the point?” You say before walking away.

“Y/N!” Justin yells multiple times, but you ignored him as you already reached the bedroom door.

Justin’s POV:

I screwed up big time.

At this point I don’t really what to do. I told her the truth…she didn’t like it. What was I suppose to do? Lie? She needs to understand that we need a break, our relationship is unhealthy and I don’t want her to go through that.

I love her and I hate seeing her hurt and if it’s me who’s causing that, then I might aswell leave.

It’s been 2 hours since you and Justin had last spoken. The house was quiet and you weren’t sure what he was doing. You walk out of the bathroom to see a suitcase on you and Justin’s bed.

What’s going on? You thought to yourself. You turn to your left to see Justin gathering his clothes. He looks up as you two make eye contact for a couple of seconds before he quickly looks away.

You suddenly felt sick. You were hurt at the fact that he was serious about leaving. Usually whenever you and Justin argue, you guys always made up at the end. I guess this time it’s different, you thought to yourself.
You watch as he packs his clothes one by one. You didn’t understand why he was the one leaving…this was his house?

You wanted to stop him. You wanted to hug him and tell him everything’s alright but your feet were glued to the floor. You suddenly felt tears appear through the corner of your eyes.

A few moments later, he was finished packing. You couldn’t find the word to say, you were choked up. Justin looks at you one last time before heading out the bedroom door with his suitcase. You held your chest as you began to cry. You didn’t know why you were feeling this way when he’s the one that hurt you in the first place.

You stood there for a few seconds debating whether or not to chase after him.

I love him…you say to to yourself, repeating it a few times in your head to realize your mistake. You quickly have the strength to run after him, just as Justin was about to open the front door you yell out his name.

He turns around shocked. You look at him hesitant before slowly walking towards him. “Please don’t leave…” you say hearing your voice break. Justin looks at you hurt aswell. “Y/N I don’t want to hurt you anymore.” He says quietly.
“Then stay…we can work this out.”
You say looking into his eyes. “Justin I love you and if you loved me you wouldn’t this relationship go to waste…would you?” You say quietly as your faces were now inches apart. Justin slowly grabs your face as he wipes your tears slowly away. “I’m sorry for being a coward and giving up so easily, you just deserve so much better.” He says looking into your eyes.
“We may have ups and downs but it’s been one hell of a ride and I’m happy it’s you I’m always with…” you say causing Justin to smile. “I love you…” Justin says before placing his lips onto yours.

Maple Syrup and Poutine: A Nom de Plume Drabble

If you’ve been around in the past 24 hours you’ve probably noticed me freaking out bc a v Canadian interview was released, so here is a very light and fluffy and self-indulgent drabble about it!! As usual, this may or may not be canon!! Enjoy!!

I was running on an infinitesimal amount of sleep, yet I took a taxi straight from the airport to NBC Studios where Harry was filming for the day because I hadn’t seen him for three weeks and the sooner I got a hug from him, the better. After texting a member of their security team in New York, there was someone waiting for me in the lobby, who I greeted with a well-practiced fake smile and cheer.

Careful not to step on any twigs, Miller sneaked around the tent. Peaking into one of the open flaps, he found the it to be empty.

“Why am I not surprised,” he muttered to himself. This had become apart of Miller’s nightly routine after his watch ended.

Got Me On My Toes – Luke Imagine

The music wrapped around your body as you leapt through the sweet air of the dance studio. You twisted your body to compliment the notes and closed your eyes. When you danced, you were transported into a world of peace and magic. This is what you loved to do.

Your paradise came crashing down when you took a wrong step and landed on the cold floor. “Fuck!” You yelled in anguish. You got up and went to restart it.

“Babe, stop,” Your boyfriend, Luke, had been watching you. He went over to you and gently took your hand in his, “You’ve been practicing nonstop for weeks. It’s time to take a break.”

“No!” You snapped, whipping your hand out of his, “You can’t tell me when it’s time to take a break. My audition is tomorrow! I can’t stop now!” Your hands were shaking at this point and you were on the verge of tears. “You’re supposed to support me,” You continued to raise your voice at your innocent boyfriend, “I’m always there for you with your music career. This is the exact same thing!”

Luke’s eyes softened and you immediately felt bad for yelling at him. “Y/n, please,” His voice was barely above a whisper, “Whenever I’m stressing out or working myself to death, you’re always there to help me take a step back. That’s all I’m trying to do for you.”

He was right. “Luke, I’m so sorry,” You apologized, looking down at your trembling hands, “I didn’t mean to yell.”

“I understand,” He smiled and held both of your hands so they would calm down, “Now can I please take you home. I’ll make you your favorite for dinner.”

“I’d love that,” You agreed, walking out of the studio with him. Before Luke stopped you, you had been practicing for an extremely important audition for the most elite dance company in the city. You were working yourself to death, but it was worth it. This audition could make or break your career as a ballerina.

At dinner, you had barely said a word. Luke looked at you with pity hovering in his eyes. You glared at him to tell him to stop, but his crystal blue eyes refused to leave yours. “You’re never this quiet,” He noted, “Talk to me.”

“Luke, I’m so nervous,” You sighed, putting your fork down temporarily, “What if I fall.”

“You get right back up,” He said very matter-of-factly, “And I’ll be there for you. Just look at me if you get nervous.”

You grinned, “Then I’ll laugh at your stupid face.”

Luke pouted, “You’ll pay for that.” He took a sip of water and spit it out through his teeth so that it splashed you directly.

“I hate you, Hemmings!” You squealed and picked up a piece of food to throw at him. After some back and forth, you gave up. “Alright, that’s enough,” You giggled and kissed his cheek, “I’m gonna get cleaned up and then go to bed. I need a good night’s sleep for tomorrow.”

“Ok, I’ll clean the kitchen,” Luke said standing up and giving you a proper kiss on the lips, “I’ll be in in a few.”

The next day, Luke drove you to the audition. You were pretty much shaking the whole time. You went backstage to get ready and you wouldn’t let Luke leave your side. He sat patiently in the corner while you did your hair. You pulled it into a tight bun and moved on to your shoes. You pulled your pointe shoes out of your bag and slipped them on your feet. Your hands were shaking too hard to lace them up properly and you buried your face in your knees.

“Hey, hey, it’s ok,” Luke rushed to your aid and laced them up for you, his delicate fingers weaving the ribbon around your ankles. When he was done you threw yourself into his arms. Luke lifted you from your sitting position so that you were both standing. “I have so much faith in you,” He whispered into your neck. You held him tighter. Then he pulled away, looking you up and down, and said, “Why are you almost as tall as me right now?”

You looked down at your feet. You realized you were standing on the point of your slippers. “Well,” You said with a smile, “It looks like you’ve got me on my toes.”

A couple of minutes later, Luke left you to go sit in the audience. You took a deep breath as you prepared to go onstage. Your cue rang in your ear and you pointed your toes. You felt the music start to take over your body as you gracefully painted the stage with your moves.

Your eyes met the ballet coach who was judging you. Her eyes read you’re not good enough. You got caught up in your thoughts and missed your landing when you leapt. Your eyes quickly moved to Luke’s and his read you can do this.

It was too late to continue with your original dance, so you acted upon impulse. You improvised the rest of your piece to make it look like that fall was not accidental. Soon enough your music stopped and you went offstage with a smile. Even though you trashed half of your dance, you felt good about it. It was a feeling you hadn’t been familiar with for a while.

Luke came running backstage. “Y/n!” He breathed as he picked you up and spun you around, “Did you make up the entire second half?” You nodded with a proud smile on your face. “It was incredible,” Your boyfriend chirped as he leaned his lips into yours.

Now you had just had to wait for your results…

You jiggled the door handle and made your way into your apartment. You had gone shopping for Luke’s birthday present and were quite thrilled with what you got. Today was such a good day that you didn’t even remember that your result came in. That is until you saw your boyfriend.

Luke was on the couch with his head in his hands. A big, opened envelope sitting on the coffee table in front of him. He picked his head up as he heard you and immediately started babbling. “Y/n, I’m so, so incredibly sorry,” He stumbled over his own words, “I didn’t mean to open it, I just saw it and had to. I was so excited, I’m so sorry. I really didn’t mean to. I’m so sorry, y/n.”

You felt your hands start to shake again. “Why are you sorry, Luke?” You stuttered. He didn’t say anything, but just avoided all eye contact. “What did it say?” You asked, eagerly with fear at the same time, “Luke!”

“I’m so sorry, y/n…”

You felt the tears prick at your eyes. You shook your head and bit your lip. “No,” You cried. You fell to your knees. “This is all I’ve ever wanted,” You choked between sobs.

“Wait, y/n!” Luke dropped to your side and gave you the envelope, “I was just joking!”

You picked your head up, glaring at him. “What?” You snarled.

Luke awkwardly coughed, “I uh, thought it would be funny to see your reaction, but I guess it went too far.” You slapped him and grabbed the envelope.

“I got in,” You breathed, “I GOT IN!” You hugged Luke so hard and then pushed him away and started wrestling him. “You’re a terrible person,” You squealed.

He laughed, “I love you so much. Now we’re both going to be living our dreams.”
