Serious question, like no offence at all, honestly. I have trouble understanding why people promote being proud to be fat. Great, love that you feel comfortable in your own skin but some of the community is to the point where it literally looks like it's affecting their health and most definitely will with age. Why promote something that's unhealthly but can be fixed with enough determination (Obviously not easy) I've always been curious but the backlash on any opinion like this is brutal.
The reason the backlash you get is brutal is because even though you say no offence, you know just as well that you are causing offence. It’s a rude fucking thing to just pop this into somebody’s ask. I’ve thought about this ask all morning and i’ve thought about what kind of approach i should take in answering. To be quite frank, it really is none of your fucking business on how other people conduct their lives. Whether a fat person is healthy or NOT literally is none of your business. People still deserve respect and kindness whether or not they are healthy. I don’t have much more to say other than that. No one is promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. No one is saying BE FAT GET FATTER JUST GET HUGE GET FUCKIN SO HUGE EAT SHIT FOOD BECOME UNHEALTHY. That’s literally not happening, no one is promoting it so i don’t know where y’all come up with this. We’re just trying to be comfortable with who we are right now in a world that is uncomfortable with us. Why should we have to feel like shit just because someone like you thinks we’re “unhealthy”? Why should we have to feel ashamed for the rest of our lives because you don’t like what we look like? When i say “leave fat people alone”, i mean stop making fun of us, treat us with decency and respect, stop trying to conduct us on how to live our lives. Because what we choose to do is honestly, literally, truthfully, wonderfully, none of your god. damn. business. And quite frankly i am so fucking tired of just demanding i be respected as a fucking human being. The only thing that we’re promoting is the idea that you’re allowed to feel comfortable with who you are even though you live in a world that quite literally just doesn’t want you.
