precious-flower-babe  asked:

how would u describe ur aesthetic?

idk man i dont think i have one. my “aesthetic” on here is v watered down but i guess i like the more romantic end of victorian gothic, pretty girls, sparkly anything, cats, occult-related stuff, over the top dresses and anything that feels nostalgic. so basically im gay, vain and have expensive taste so just heaps of Not Good.

tetsuuyya  asked:

Just out of curiosity of my trash ass, are you more Riren, Ereri, or both?

Hmmm, this is kinda hard to answer.

As someone who is queer, I don’t like it when people claim that only one person in the relationship tops. Like I feel like it’s healthier in their relationship if they switched every now and then.

That being said, I feel like in the Rivaere v. Ereri case I lean more towards Ereri because a lot of Rivaere art focuses on Levi abusing the power structure and sometimes forcing Eren into a relationship simply because he’s his Captain.

So I guess I’m both but if I had to choose, Ereri.

more shots of Sterling from earlier. out of all my dolls, he is one of my top faves. and to think I was going to sell him the year I got him! Ringdoll’s been putting out more boys and I would really like to get another one, but it’s so hard to choose, all the sculpts coming out lately are too good 😅

anyway, I have a bunch more pictures to post here and flickr, but haven’t really had it on my mind when I sit at my desk with the files. I really should knuckle down and post all the box openings and new boys I have 😤😆

anonymous asked:

What you do think is better, the book or the show? Why?

I am often one to choose the book in this kind of question, as I feel books often go into a deeper and explain more. However, in this case, I’m going to be perfectly honest and say I don’t think one is better than the other. I adore the book, it’s been in my top five books since I read it I think… six years ago? And I genuinely like Margaret Atwood as an author as well.

I think the story they are telling in the show is more in depth than the book, purely because it can be. We see so much more of each character and know what they’re thinking. In the book, of course, everything Offred (June) hears is heresay. We can’t prove anything that she hears. It was only ever speculation her name was June, even that was never confirmed. Fred’s last name was never mentioned, we only knew his first because Of-Fred. The epilogue lead to speculation he was Fred Waterford, which we now know is true. The show has been able to expand on characters (and with a more diverse cast), and I love that.

I think the differing time periods also makes it hard to determine. The book was published in 1985 and it’s clear it’s set sometime around there with the references that are made, pertaining to the 70s and 80s. The show is set around 2015, and social media is obviously more widespread. This makes for a different story. You simply couldn’t have an identical story 30 years later with the rise of social media, and social media activism. I actually have a hard time believing some things purely because of how prevalent the internet is in our lives these days. So I think the show and the book were always going to be vastly different. I’ve found it much easier to connect with the characters in the show than I did in the book, and that’s partly because we see it from their eyes too, but also because June’s character is different. She herself is far more rebellious and risky than she ever was in the book. And, again, I do think the time period of 2015 would make an impact of that.

I haven’t really answered your question, I know. Because I can’t. I think the book is an incredible work of writing, and it remains one of my favourite books. I think the show is a brilliant show. As to which one is better? I can’t answer. I think they both have their merits and they’re hard to compare. Though I haven’t read the book in quite some time. I have been meaning to pick it off my bookshelf and read it again, but I keep getting caught up in other things. There have been a couple of moments where I had to pause and think (or even Google) “did that happen in the book?” because I just wasn’t sure. So I think I would have a better answer if I had read the book more recently.

I just know that before I started watching the show, in my head, I wanted it to stay true to the books. Little changes, here and there. But I wanted the ending to remain the same. I won’t say what, because I don’t want to spoil people, but the more I watch it (especially after episode 7), the more I’m starting to see the show as separate, and I’m starting to want less and less for the ending to remain the same as the book.

Not sure if that was the answer you were looking for though! Thank you for the question, it definitely made me think :)

Season 1 Episode 4B: The Old Building

181 Days until The Jungle Movie…

Favorite Quote: “I thought we recalled her…” – Ernie’s friend

Favorite Episode Tag: None for this ep. (Tell me your top 5 and I’ll tag you in them)

Not the best episode featuring the great Dino Spumoni, but not the worst either. It’s probably his best song though.

For Nicole @theblack-wolf

I hope this helps you feel a bit better!

This isn’t my best, and it’s kind of short,so I apologize. If you would like something else, or more of this, just send me a message. 😘💞

I met her at Bobby’s, he called her in for help on a case that she had some expertise on.

“She’s a crack hunter, John, mostly working behind the scenes, research, making calls. Knows how to sweet talk any lawman or coroner in to giving needed intel.”

“I’m sure she’s fucking tops, Bobby. But I…”

“Hunt alone, I know, Winchester. Just give her a chance, idjit. One thing, don’t judge her at first glance. Just take my word on her abilities.”

“Okay, fine.” I needed the help, and I trusted Bobby. But don’t judge? What exactly did that mean?

I soon found out when she appeared in the room. I know I had a shocked look on my face as Bobby introduced her, I couldn’t hide it.

“John, this is Nicole, probably one of the best women hunters around.”

I stuck my hand out, not sure if I should crouch or not. “Umm, glad to meet you, Nicole. Bobby’s told me a lot about you.”

She smiled up at me.  “Looks like he left out the most important thing.” She leaned over, slapping Bobby’s arm and making me laugh. “Yes, I’m in a wheelchair. Yes,I’m far from your average hunter. But I can get a large chunk of the hunt done from right here.” She patted the arm of her chair.

“I’m sorry, I feel, I don’t know what to think.” I fucking stuttered.

“I tell you what, let me help you with this job. If it doesn’t seem to be working, I’ll move on, deal?”

I looked at Bobby, then back at Nicole. “Deal.”

She was right, Bobby was right. Damn if she wasn’t everything I always wanted in a partner. Yes, I hunted alone, preferred it. But with Nicole, she did all the grunt work, the research, the info gathering. She was great with victims, police. Things I fucking hated doing.

We quickly became full time partners. She even worked perfectly with Dean and Sam when need be.

“She’s great dad. Aren’t you glad you listened to Bobby for once?” Sam laughed.

“Yeah, once in awhile the old man has a good idea.”

“She is great dad, and she’s perfect for you, in more ways than one.” Dean smirked over his burger at me.

“What’s that supposed to mean, boy?”

“Nothing, nothing.” He held his hands up.

That night, as I was trying to fall asleep, Dean’s words ran through my head. I knew what he was getting at. I just didn’t realize how fucking obvious I was being. I had fallen for her.

And I soon found out that my feelings were reciprocated. After a especially tough hunt, one that resulted in Nicole spending an hour patching me up, we ended up in bed. I won’t lie and say it was a fucking beautiful once in a lifetime moment, although she assured me after that it was beautiful and I was wonderful. But I was so afraid, afraid of hurting her, not knowing how to please her, of disappointing her.

But here we are, lying here, Nicole tucked into my side, her favorite place she calls it. After our first time together, I learned exactly what she likes, what makes her feel good. She may look delicate, but fuck if she doesn’t give me a run for my money in bed.

It’s been a year since we first met. 6 months since we first made love. 3 months since I took off my wedding ring. And one day since I put on my new ring.

She is everything I never knew I needed.  She is my heart and soul.

And there is no place I would rather be then in her arms.

I'm curious to know, when you make your lists do you actually name these at the top of your head or do you search it? If you really know them, you're one really hardcore fujoshi ;p

Haha, it really depends on what the person is asking for! I have my own preferences in the kind of yaoi I read, and my own favorites so I can recommend those right off the top of my head!

I also archive all the manga I’ve read so all I have to do is scroll through and find ones that match what the requester is looking for, but sometimes that takes a little bit because I’ve read over 1,100 manga. That’s a lot of pages to scroll through!

When a requester asks for something I’m not very into (I’m at least a little bit into everything, but there are some things I like a lot more than others) that’s when I do research and look through tags made by other people to make my lists!

Can’t Stand The Heat - First Day

Summary: Absentmindedly, I ran a hand over one of the counter tops as I made my way through; mapping the layout. The flow was amazing; in one door and out another. Storage off the back, easy access for B.O.H and little need for F.O.H to cross the line and mistakenly getting in the way.

Warnings: Implied dirty thoughts.

A/N: I feel like this might be classified as a slow burn.. It’s on the edge of it, but I promise as it gets going, it won’t feel like that. Also, this is more of a filler, the next part is just.. I’m not giving anything away, but I had it mapped out even before I got the first two part done.. Enough of my ramblings. Enjoy!

Missed Part One? You can find it here!

Your name: submit What is this?

My alarm screaming, that’s what woke me the next morning. I was rolling over and about to hit the snooze when I remembered why I had to get up so early. I started my new job today. Years of hard work were starting to pay off, someone was actually giving me the responsibility of managing a whole kitchen.

Yesterday felt like a dream. I had to pinch myself when I got back to my car, just to make sure I was awake. My back of house team is absolutely incredible, they were all so warm and had nothing but encouraging words. Which made me think is a little odd, not too many cooks are that friendly. Then again that might have something to do with Jensen. He had been so kind when he was introducing me to everyone, it made me feel like I was in the right place.

Why the SPN mixtape scene from 12x19 is screenwriting gold, and should be taught to the next generations of screenwriters everywhere - analysis

20 seconds. Two lines of dialogue, three gestures, a couple more camera angles. Episode 19, season 12 of a genre TV show “Supernatural”. A single strike of screenwriting and cinematic genius. The mixtape scene.

Robert Berens and Meredith Glynn, I bow before you.

This scene should be used as an example for future screenwriters how you can put maximum of meaning into minimal time and dialogue. Should be analyzed and taught at universities everywhere, how to achieve the most using the least. How to write for TV, where you only have less than an hour to built something spectacular.

Let’s just peel off all the layers of these 20 seconds of footage and these 13 words. 13 WORDS.

(Cas knocks, Dean doesn’t say anything. Cas opens the door, apologizes for disturbing Dean in his room, and then takes a cassette tape out of his left inside coat pocket, and puts it on the desk, while tapping the label on it that says “Deans (sic!) top 13 Zepp traxx”.)

Cas: Um, I just wanted to return this.

Dean: It’s a gift. You keep those.

13 tracks. 13 words. The future. So number thirteen is important for the future. I mean, are you trying to tell us something here, writers?

(Dean takes the tape, oustreches his arm, and gives it back to Cas. We see Cas’ hand grabbing the tape, and taking it back.)

That tiny scene is ENORMOUS from the perspective of the narrative and the characterization. Let’s see what we can get out of it. (Prepare yourself: it’s gonna be long. Damn, how much meta can you write based on 20 seconds of television and two lines of dialogue?) (Hint: A lot.)

The idea of Harry reaching for a new legitimacy — whether successfully or not — is one I’m really interested in exploring at the moment. I’ve seen a handful of conversations online that basically amount to “he’s got a guitar now, he’s trying to be something more real than One Direction let him be.” I find that conversation so dull and meaningless. It aligns with a rockist mentality that men writing their own music and playing their own instruments is somehow more fulfilling or valid than a catchy pop hook or beat you can dance to. The most wonderful thing about this record, I think, is that it’s not only in keeping with Harry’s “old stuff,“ but that it is very likely the space he’ll continue to work in for a long time. I can’t imagine him noticing Top 40 trends and peppering them into his work on the next record, or clutching for some new and different sound to appeal to a more quote, unquote legitimate audience. Harry has always defied trends, whether through his personal style — wearing floral suits where his bandmates wore classic black or jeans and t-shirts — or, now, by backing the passion and dedication of the teen-girl fan base where, historically, newly solo ex–boy banders were rabid about distancing themselves from that audience in favor of new, older listeners. Even for all the trendy nostalgia in this record, he also shrugged off his producer’s suggestion to use outdated technology to make it; on the Rolling Stone podcast, Cameron Crowe said Harry was adamant about using the most up-to-date tools today, just as his heroes did in the ’60s and ’70s, rather that backpedaling into analog for analog’s sake. The idea that he’s somehow more “real” now that he’s nervously plucking a guitar (one he’s traveled with for, like, five years) is misguided.

For two years I worked as an island clearer.  You know those small, fancy, artificial islands off the coast of the Dubai?  Well, every once in a while someone rich would order a customized island in the shape of their choosing.  Maybe it’s a rose for their wife or a face or a turtle.  So the other guys go in with their sand, make the island to the shape required, and then the client is called and told that their custom island is completed.  But sometimes the client says they don’t want the island any more.  That’s where I came in.  Our company was never mad - I mean, in this high-profile island generating industry, you have to be customer-centric.  Just because someone doesn’t want a custom island now doesn’t mean they don’t want one later.

Anyway, my job was to go in with this ship that basically looked like it was half-bulldozer half-barge and clear all the sand off the top until it sunk back beneath the waves and disappeared forever.  I was the only person in the company who knew how to do this job correctly, and I presume the only person in the world as well.  Sure, the island builders could make the island, but they were absolutely pathetic at clearing them. So I guess you could say I had job security.  Anyway, that wasn’t important.  What was important was that I had fun doing it and helped improve the world. Follow your passions!  You never know what great treasures life has in store for you.

What your favorite Beatles album says about you

  • With the Beatles: you really like the Beatles, but for some reason you don't wanna hear them do their own songs. but you really, really like the Beatles.
  • A Hard Day's Night: nobody really knows the real you. they think you're a suave, energetic socialite. deep down, you're a farm hand with a piece of wheat sticking out of your mouth, trying not to cry. you can cry if you want. it's okay to cry.
  • Beatles for Sale: you think your friends all secretly hate you, and you think strangers all secretly love you. also, George is your favorite Beatle and you like hearing Paul scream.
  • Help!: you really like ironic humor and feeling sorry for yourself, and you think people would be happier without you in the picture. you need to understand people care about you, and you should learn to like yourself. but proposing to a girl in a jumping 12 bar is wrong. don't do that.
  • Rubber Soul: when people ask you what kind of music you listen to, you say you like all different kinds.
  • Revolver: crawling into bed, you're half asleep before you remember to set your alarm. you do it with one eye open.

  • Abbey Road: you won't stop trying until you're sitting at the top in a gold encrusted throne made of the skulls of your enemies and the good wishes of your friends. you don't know how to rap.
  • Let It Be: you think you have an intimate relationship with somewhere between 1 and 4 of the Beatles in a way they'll never understand. you watch a movie again if it makes you cry.
