i like some of them but others are terrible

I’ve been playing Injustice 2 on and off, and am still hilariously terrible at it, but I finally got some epic level 20 helms for The Flash. First priority before putting any of them on: transforming the appearance into one of the other versions that actually showed his face.

For reasons.

Meanwhile, while I’m muttering things at the game like “no, you do not get to cover up Taliesin’s smirk, this is non-negotiable,” I’m also still amused over the fact that Matt had to do full facial capture for a character whose face, as far as I can tell, never gets to be seen. Because…just in case. I guess. Either way, picture me eyeing Deadshot in his full-face mask, thinking, “Matt had to shave for this,” and just kinda chuckling for a while.

The experience of fandom, especially in the age of the internet, is one of binge reading: most new fans, upon discovering fanfic, gobble it down. The first story you read is usually an eyebrow raiser; shocking, maybe a bit embarrassing. “What is this craziness? Do people really do this? I don’t think I like it. Are they all like this? Let me just look at one more …” And then the next thing you know, it’s four in the morning, it’s three days later, it’s ten years on. You are at your friend’s house, and the floor around you is covered with zines. You are on the internet, and you haven’t showered in days. Your browser history is a dreadful embarrassment. You’ve read roughly forty-five thousand stories, some of them amazing, many of them terrible, and you now have all sorts of opinions about tropes and genres. You have developed a particular taste in fanworks. You really like femslash, or hurt/comfort, or cavefic, or long, plotty gen. But I guarantee you this: no matter what you like, and no matter how much there is of it–there isn’t enough of it

And so some readers (and some of you) will start to write. You’ll write the thing you want to read, because how hard can it be? You can do better than that story you read last night. And that other story you read was okay–except, you know what would have been really good? You know what would have been great? This. This is gonna be great.

Attention people who don’t have horses:

Sorry to break in with this on a very much Sherlock-only kind of blog- I promise not to make a regular thing of this, but this is something that’s happened TWICE now.

This is Beyli. He’s a two-month old foal and he’s adorable. He belongs to a friend of the family.

So adorable, in fact, that a member of the public spent a nice afternoon feeding him. You feed the ducks and that’s ok. right? It’s a nice thing to do.

They fed him turnip. He choked and gave himself a stomachache as a result.

The problem is that horses can’t really burp and horses can’t vomit. Their digestive systems are fine-tuned and when they go wrong, they go really wrong. Colic in horses is difficult to treat and in Beyli’s case, like many others, proved to be insurmountable. With pain medicine not working, after 4 hours of doing their best with no improvement, the vet called time on his suffering rather than let him go on to a very slow and painful end.

A horse needlessly suffered and died because someone fed him the wrong thing. They weren’t necessarily malicious, they were just hugely ignorant. And worse, they were hugely entitled. There were already signs asking people not to feed the animals. As I said, this has now happened TWICE to the same family, and they’re by no means alone.

PLEASE Don’t feed horses that don’t belong to you.

Horses can have disorders, diabetes, allergies and dietry requirements and you have NO IDEA if what you’re giving them is acceptable or not. Even ‘safe’ things like carrot and apple could be ‘wrong’ for this particular horse. Grass clippings? Not okay. Grain? Not okay for a horse that hasn’t been regularly eating it.

Don’t assume. i have seen walkers pull up random plants and offer them over the fence INCLUDING TOXIC, DEADLY weeds like ragwort. I’ve seen horses offered dog-biscuits and bread. I’ve heard of horses being regularly fed by strangers thinking they were being under-fed, when the horse in question was on a vet-given diet to control weight and other conditions.

Don’t feed horses that don’t belong to you even little treats and things like sugar cubes because it gives them bad manners. They start biting and harassing people. It’s bad for their teeth and too much sugar is terrible for them.

In some places if the owner has liability insurance, if you can be identified, YOU will be legally responsible for the vet’s bills. And if you’re thinking ‘well, they’d never identify me’, then that’s besides the point.

Please. You wouldn’t feed someone’s dog without asking, I hope. You definitely wouldn’t feed someone else’s child.

TL;DR: Don’t feed other people’s horses. You can make them SERIOUSLY ill. Treat animals in fields like animals at the zoo: you’re welcome to look, but don’t meddle with their care.

PLEASE DON’T FEED OTHER PEOPLE’S HORSES.

10 Reasons I should play Isak in the US Skam Remake

1. Isak and I are virtually indistinguishable from one another. Never before have I so closely, intensely related to a fictional character.

2. I can rock a snapback

3. I wrote, co-directed, and starred in a short film that won the Atlantic Youth Film Festival and went on to be featured at the Toronto International Film Festival High School Festival

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjC3oncA6g8

4. REALLY want a blonde Isak? I’m game

5. I totally felt a Natural Connection™️ with Tarjei AND Henrik when I got to meet them

6. Trying to be straight™️? ME

7. I can cry. I mean, CRY cry. Ugly cry (but still look good)

8. Do you see that picture of me and my boy squad in front of a castle? Yeah. #boysquad

9. I’ve acted in almost a dozen plays, both through school and independently, as well as three short films, so I know what I’m doing, but am definitely an unknown.

10. Sitting on a bench? Sign me up

BONUS: I would do anything to play Isak Valtersen. Julie and Tarjei were able to expertly craft this phenomenal character that helped me grow as a person more than I ever thought a fictional character could. When I watch Skam, I see so much of myself in Isak. I took the exact same Gay Test as him. I laid awake for hours wondering if boys I liked, liked me back. I awkwardly came out to my friends when they heard it from other people first. I dated girls to prove to myself and people around me that I was straight. My first gay kiss was ripped right from a movie, only I was laying down like Sleeping Beauty and he got down on one knee and kissed me. I understand Isak because I am Isak. I’m the scared, lonely, angry closeted kid who makes other people guess who I like because it’s easier than telling them myself. I know US Skam won’t be able to replicate Julie and Tarjei’s Isak, because it never could. Nothing and nobody ever could. I don’t know if US Skam will be good; some remakes (The Office, Shameless) are amazing, others (Skins) are terrible. I hope US Skam is good, because I hope other people get to have characters they connect with the way I connect with Isak. I want to play Isak (or Isaac?) because I want to do for somewhat else what Tarjei did for me. I will always be grateful to him. I will never be able to thank him and Julie enough for Isak Valtersen.

If anybody important ever sees this and wants to give me a chance, I’ll be eternally grateful to you as well. :)

I’ve seen a couple post claiming the ACLU isn’t a good organization because they’ve defended folks like the KKK and other disgusting organizations and as a lawyer I just can’t let people make these claims and not address them.

First, let me say that as a queer Black woman, some of the folks the ACLU has represented make me absolutely sick. They want me and mine dead. They are terrible. But I am wholeheartedly here for the ACLU representing these people because of the way the law works.

In the law, there’s a thing called precedent. It basically means that decisions that are made in these cases are the law of the land unless they are overturned on appeal. Most questions of law have been settled and when lawyers argue they just refer the judge to how previous, similar cases were decided and the judge usually follows suit because they don’t wanna be overturned on appeal.

When there are new/unique questions of law that haven’t been settled, especially around civil rights, the outcomes are super important because it will essentially impact all of us. So, as shitty and disgusting as it is, if the KKK’s speech is infringed in a way that creates a new legal question as to how the constitution applies, if they have a legit claim and no one defends them and they lose, the rule and reasoning that the judge lays down becomes law. So, later if for example #NoDAPL or BLM folks are marching or demonstrating and have their speech infringed upon in the way the KKK previously did, if they bring it to court the precedent established in the KKK’s case applies and #NoDAPL or BLM lose. Because for better or worse the law in most of these cases doesn’t hinge on “are these people saying things we support and want to spread?” and it doesn’t really matter legally if one group is the KKK and the other is #NoDAPL. In short, those aren’t the facts that legal decisions are made on.

In short, sometimes to protect ALL of our legal rights, the ACLU has to protect the rights of deplorable and disgusting people. And honestly, we should be thankful that there are folks out here willing to do this dirty work. The ACLU is about protecting our constitutional civil rights and sometimes that means protecting those of bad people so that those decisions and resulting laws can’t be used to hurt good people. And more often than not, the ACLU is fighting for good people. Please keep that in mind before claiming the ACLU is awful.

Nami from One Piece

I just felt like drawing Nami.

While I was looking up references on tumblr I also noticed that it’s around the time of her birthday (July 3rd), so happy birthday, Nami!

Studying with Mental Illness: Self-Care
  • Eating and Drinking:
Make sure you eat food, and drink water regularly. Carry a water bottle everywhere you go if it helps. I always have a water bottle, and something I can snack on in my bag, because I tend to forget otherwise. Eat healthy foods where you can, but honestly, something is better than nothing. Take the time to eat, and drink. Nutrition and hydration is important for fueling your body and will help you focus, and stay focused.

  • Taking breaks:
These are necessary. It doesn’t have to be long, but you should aim to take at least five minutes every hour, and some longer ones here and there. It can be hard to stay focused, and you can burn yourself out easily if you try and study for hours on end, day after day. Listen to your needs. Getting a headache? Take a short break.

  • Mental Health Days:
We’ve all had those days where we’ve had good intentions to write notes on some chapters, maybe work on an assignment, read a chapter in the text book, or whatever, only to wake up, and feel like our mental illness is getting the better of us, and study just isn’t on your radar. It’s okay to take a day off to do something mindless, or enjoyable, or relaxing. It’s important to take these days when we need too. Don’t feel ashamed to take a day off for your mental health.

  • Socialising:
Go to that party, catch up with that friend for coffee, Skype with that friend, catch up with your dash board, or Facebook news feed, whatever it is, it’s okay to do those things. Just as long as you don’t always do those things. Not letting yourself do those things, especially when you’ve been struggling with mental illness and motivation to study, and you take your socialising away from yourself entirely as punishment, can contribute to the cycle of not studying. Find a balance that works for you.

  • Talk to someone:
A therapist, a friend, a significant other, sibling, parent, teacher, whoever. If you trust them, and ask if it’s okay to talk to them about things that are bothering you/going on for you, then you should talk to them. Talking about things can really help you to start working through things one by one when it all seems overwhelming, and upsetting. Also, don’t be afraid to let your teachers/professors know that you are going through difficult times. Utilise the programs and resources your school/college/university has to offer. Ask for that extension if you need it.

  • Exercise/Stretching:
It’s good to not only have a regular routine for your overall physical health, and fitness, but during your study sessions, it’s also good to get up, and move around, and do some stretches every once in a while. Just like with taking breaks, you can use those break times to incorporate some movement. Get up, walk around the house, stretch, do some star jumps (I think some people call them jumping jacks???). I am terrible with exercise regimes. I am working on trying to include walking around the block, weights and resistance, and other things into my week, because I know that exercise is supposed to help with focus, and my overall physical health. And it’s supposed to help with mental health too.

  • Sleep:
Get some sleep, and get some good sleep! 7-9 hours of good quality sleep per night, is ideal for most people. Know yourself, and how much sleep you need. I personally need about 8 hours, anything less and I struggle. Sleep can be hard if you’re struggling with insomnia (I do) but giving yourself as much opportunity to sleep as possible (within reason), will really help. Also, taking naps during the day can really be helpful. I often take short naps when I get home from classes, because I find it helps me to consolidate the knowledge better, and revitalises my body, and my mind for me to continue with my day, as classes take a lot out of me mentally, and physically. Don’t stay up all night, you’re better off getting some sleep earlier, and getting up earlier. And take naps if you need too!

  • Be fair to yourself:
This is really important. Know your needs, and treat yourself fairly. Even if you don’t get everything done that you wanted, even if you had to take a mental health day when you have so much to do, it’s okay. Your feelings are valid, and you are not weak/worthless/incompetent/insert other self-hating statement here. You’ve done so well to accomplish what you have managed today. You are amazing.

This is the last post to my post series Studying with Mental Illness:  Some Ideas for Studying, Motivation, and Self-care. Here can find my general post, studying post, and motivation post. Thank you for reading. I know these ideas won’t work for everyone, but I hope that they might be useful to someone. Take care.

A Peter Parker x Reader Fic

Summary: You know Peter’s secret, you know he’s Spider-Man. But where’s the fun in letting him know that outright? It’s more fun to tease him about it…until you end up in between him and the Green Goblin.

Warnings: fluff, some minor angst, I wrote the reader shorter than Peter so I apologize to those who’re taller than him ( :/ ), it’s long

A/N: I’d like to give a ginormous thank you to @riseofthehufflepuffs for always being there to help me with my Peter Parker fics and reading them for me no matter how shitty they are. Thank you, Mrs. Parker, you’re the freaking best friend a person could ask for and I’m so excited to see FOB live with you in Novemeber!

“So, Parker.” You poked at your food leisurely. “Do anything fun last night?”

“N-No.” He ran a hand through his hair nervously. “Just worked on some homework, yah know.”

“Did you see the news?” You dropped your head into your hands, narrowing your eyes at your friend. “That robbery downtown seemed intense.”

“Yeah.” Peter nodded.

“Thank the heavens Spider-Man swooped in and took them down.” You continued on. “It was crazy, I can’t even begin to fathom living a life like that. Living half as a well-known superhero and the other as, well, some random person. I wonder who they are…”

“Probably just some random person, like you said.” Peter sipped on his drink. “I doubt we know them.”

“Yeah.” You mentally scoffed. “You’re probably right.”

The finished drawing of Meretseger, guardian goddess of tombs. She is depicted with the head of a cobra. She protects against grave robbers and afflicts them with terrible pains and illnesses. However, she is also said to be a merciful goddess, and those who repent from their thieving ways may receive forgiveness and healing.

She’s wearing gold leaf, like the other gods in the pantheon. I am available for commissions! I also have some exclusives on Patreon (I’m zooophagous there too)

I have a hc that Otabek and Yuri love to share new music with each other. And they love listening to each other’s recommendations. So this is way in the future (and our precious dorks have been dating for a while), but one day, Otabek tells Yuri he has a surprise for him.

He blindfolds him and takes him to the place where he took Yuri when he rescued him from the Angels all those years ago, and Yuri is not having it. He hates surprises. So to shut him up, when he gets to the spot, Otabek gives his Yura some ear buds. Yuri knows what this means, so he smiles, puts them in, and waits for Otabek to play the song. Otabek presses play, and some cheesy song like “Marry You” begins to play quietly in Yuri’s ears.

Otabek is super nervous, but gets down on one knee, and pulls a tiny box out of his pocket. Shakily, he finally tells Yuri he can take his blindfold off. Yuri does so slowly, slightly in shock at the situation. He looks down, and there’s Beka on one knee, looking so terrified and so in love.

“Yura, I know this is a terrible song, but there was no other way I could say this. I think I want to marry you.”

Yuri smiles slowly and laughs, and Otabek becomes more and more scared.

“What do you think?” Otabek presses.

“Yes, you’re right, this is a terrible song.”

“And..?”

“Yes, I want to marry you.”

Lmao, so this got way more detailed than I first intended 😂

Hi ✨ your drawings are so fun (& interesting to observe because all the details and shapes) !! I was wondering if you had other art styles maybe? I love your style, just curious.

Hello! It took me so terribly long to answer this I’m so so sorry ><
I’m glad you like my works! Thank you so much ♥
I’m not really sure if you can count it as different art style but I enjoy classic figural drawing very much (I love drawing feet especially)! Here you can see some of them :) (sorry for the terrible quality of the photos though, the drawings are quite large and I only had my phone ><)

for the fluent japanese mccree thing, what if there's one day where they are joking and having fun and hanzo suddenly sighs a little and says "wow, im so in love with you" under his breath but mccree hears and how he reacts is currently up in the air with me like i'm torn between making it angsty with a (so far) unrequited pining thing on hanzo's part or making it so that mccree blurts out that he feels the same way and blows his cover.

Outlander's Sam Heughan Reveals His Late-Night Texting Habits
And his favorite emoji.

🍣 🍷🍷⛰ 🏖 ⛵️

By Laura Brounstein Mar 14, 2015

Who: Scottish actor killing it in a kilt in Starz’s Outlander, based on Diana Gabaldon’s can’t-put-down best-selling series.

What he’s wearing down there: “Under the kilt? I’m a true Scotsman. You don’t even have to ask. It can be very breezy!”

Set-side to stateside: “Catriona [Balfe] and I hang out a lot. She’s fantastic. She’s great fun to work with and has a brilliant sense of humor. It’s nice for me to be working back in Scotland and it’s a new place for her, so she’s been discovering it. And yesterday, we were both in L.A. and went out for sushi. We talked about it when we were on the Scottish moors, for the show, we were like, Oh my god, let’s go and do sushi when we’re in L.A., so we’ve been hitting up all the top sushi spots here. But I miss those moors! We were talking about it yesterday, how we can’t wait to go back and get out there again, it’s so much fun, everybody gets on.”

Great romances: “The classic, Romeo and Juliet for me is the iconic story of young love. I’ve been in that production on stage a few times as Romeo and also playing Paris. I love stories about the end of relationships too, like the film Amour, which was really, really beautiful. Blue Valentine was a really sad movie but I loved the moments when they’re discovering each other for the first time. Hopefully Outlander can become one of the greats.”

On his texting habits: “I’m a notorious late-night texter. I seem to use a lot of lip, heart, and tongue emoji. But I think the call is always better— especially now with everyone only texting, a call can be quite exciting. I might be wrong though. Maybe people don’t want me to call them!”

What he thinks about your drink order: “If she orders a scotch, that’s really impressive. That’s going to get her adate. But if I’m on a beach, even I’ll go for something with coconut water or an umbrella.”

Foreign relations: “British women can be slightly more reserved, Scottish are a little more crazy and fun, and American are more forthright, which I really enjoy. I haven’t met enough American women. I think we need to rectify that.”

His kind of girl: “Outdoorsy, likes sushi, good humor, maybe likes a drink. Those are pretty damn good. And probably being able to put up with me should be on that list.”

Dating advice to his younger self: “I think we try too hard—or I certainly do and I think it’s about relaxing and enjoying yourself. It’s something you only get with age, isn’t it? When you’re younger you’re just caught up in the moment. It’s been fun to grow. The last few years, I feel like I’ve grown up a bit and my relationships have changed as well.”

Pre-date prep: “I absolutely have lifted weights before a date. I think they call that the disco pump, don’t they? I’ve spent hours in a gym before a date. But it’s never a good thing. By the time you’re on the date you’re tired and just want to go to bed or eat something. But nothing wrong with a few press-ups before a date to get the heart pumping.”

Dating Claire (his character Jamie’s love interest): “She’d be a good date. Ultimately, it’s all about personality, isn’t it? But yeah, Claire would be fantastic date, she’d have some good stories to tell as well.”

His go-to first date: “For the moment, in Scotland, a date– maybe not the first date– would definitely be climbing a mountain or something. I’m not sure every girl would particularly like to be dragged up a mountain, but it’s a good test, isn’t it? Anything involving wine is good. The theater or the cinema is never a good idea on a first date because you don’t get to chat. You spend all the time watching something you’re just like, Ah, I want to talk to this person! You want to get an idea of who they are. Sushi is good. Again, not everyone likes it, but that’s a good way to weed them out.”

Swoon: “I always try to be romantic or surprise people. I try to keep the other person guessing with gifts, lots of gifts or turning up. But I always get worried that if I turn up at their work with some flowers or whatever that it will go terribly wrong, but so far, it’s gone well. I like to challenge myself and find new ways of letting the other person know I’m excited.”

BTS Reaction to their S/O wanting help with learning Korean

Seokjin

“But you seem to be doing so well” He would argue.

“So… You don’t want to help?” you would ask

“Nonononono I would I love to help. I just meant that I think that you are capable of doing it by yourself. But if you really want the help then I’m here for you. I’ll help”

It would become a daily thing. The two of you would sit down at the dining table in evening after dinner and go through the text book. It had became Jin’s favourite thing. After a long day or practice he couldn’t wait to get home and spend some quality time with you. His heart would flutter and would smile at how adorable you were whenever you made a small slip up in pronunciation.

“Wahhhhhh, look at how good our Y/N has become. You’re better than me these days”

“Oh, shut up” you would giggle bashfully and gently shove his shoulder

Like most of the time, he has his headphones on but removed them at the sound of you voice,

“Sorry, what did you just say babe?”

“Can you come here pleeaaseeee?”

He walks over and sinks into the seat next to you.

“Okay, I need you to help check my pronunciation. But you cannot laugh at me. Please.” You glare.

“Okay okay, I won't” He chuckled and then waved a hand over him face and changed his expression to a very serious one.

You weren’t terrible but some words were not as good as others. This became apparent in the change of Yoongi’s facial expression. The corners of his eyes would crease and his lips upturned.

“Yoonggiiii, stooooop” You whined

He bursted out laughing but then cups your face,

“I’m sorry but you’re just so fucking cute, it hurts” He would say ruffling your hair”

“…Can we make this a regular thing? I get to watch you be adorable and you get to improve your speaking skills. A win-win situation” He smiles

“Pft… okay, fine” You peck his lips.

Hobi

You were sat on the sofa with your two text books. Korean Language sat on your lap and Korean Grammar beside you. The sound of the apartment door opening tore you away from your studies.

“Helloooooooo” Your boyfriend calls through to you. He soon walks through into the living area and finds you and your paperbacked friends.

“Oooooh, is our Y/N hard at work?” he asks

“Very” you reply, looking back down at todays chapter.

Hobi slouches down next to you, resting his head on your shoulder. You smile, brushing the hair away and kissing his forehead.

“How was practice?” You ask

“Eh. Long and tiring. Like most of the time. But from of the looks of it you have been busy today as well. Can I have a look?” He asks whilst having a peep at your book.

“Sure” You say passing the book onto him. The both of you sit there going through the work you had done for the day. He would nod in approval and point out parts that could be improved.

“But please don’t beat yourself up about it. You’re doing so well baby. I’m so proud of yooouuuu~” He wraps him arms around you and pulls you so you’re laying on top of him.

“This fuels your teaching ambition, doesn’t it?” you ask giggling.

“I mean… Yeah, it does” He chuckles, kissing the tip of your nose.

Namjoon

Your boyfriends strolls into the bedroom finding you sprawled out, face down across the bed along with texts books and pieces of paper. He shakes his head snickering. Today was one of those days where you lacked quite a bit of motivation, making it very hard to stick to your organised daily routine of learning Korean.

“You okay, baby?” he asks, leaning against the doorframe. Without lifting your head, you point to the surrounding papers. Curious, he sits down next to you, picking up a book.

“Ahhhhh, do you want some help?” He asks, running fingers through your hair.

“Ugh, Joon, please don’t do that. It’s making me want to sleep even more than I already do” You groan.

“Okay, Y/N, sit up. We are going to go through this”

You groan but still comply. He makes you follow him through to to the dining room table. Namjoon went through the chapter with you for a good hour or so.

“How do you feel?” he asks.

“Better” you reply, “It feels easier when I have someone go through it with me.”

“I’d be more than happy to help you more often. Remember, I know what its like.”

You nod, “Yeah please”

He smiles, kissing your temple.

“But can we sleep now? I’m tired”

He laughs and strokes the back of your head,

“Sure baby, we can sleep”

Jimin

Whilst Jimin was a dance practice you took the time to practice your pronunciation. You were sat on the sofa with your headphones to listen to the audio. Although you should’ve been practicing and improving upon the words you knew, you thought why not learn something new. Just give it a go.

It must have been just over an hour and you heard a loud thump in the hallway. You ripped your headphones off and froze in place. You picked up the pillow next to you which would certainly scare off any intruder  and walk towards the hall.

But it wasn’t a robber or a ghost. It was your boyfriend on the floor holding his stomach in laughter.

“PARK JIMIN! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?” You scream

“Oh my… babe… I can’t… LOOK. I’M CRYING. THERE ARE TEARS.” Were the few words he manages to say through laughing.

Eventually, he calms down and explains.

“I come in and I just hear you talking to yourself. But then I released it was Korean and. Oh my God, baby you’re so cute” He grins whilst squishing your cheeks.

You pull his hands away, frowning.

“Oh leave me alone. I know i’m bad. That’s why I’m practicing”

“No, it’s so cute~. Listen, I can help if you want. Then you don’t have to talk to yourself” He sniggers.

“Really…?” You ask

“Of course!”

Taehyung

You and Taehyung were sat on opposite sides of the sofa. As always, Tae was in his own little world, bobbing his head and mumbling song lyrics to himself whilst scrolling through his phone. And you were frowning down at a certain example sentence in your textbook that you had been trying to get your head around and string together for the past fifteen minutes. You groaned in frustration, throwing your head back.

This caught you boyfriends attention and he looked over at you.

“Huh, What’s wrong darling?”

“Whenever I think I’ve got this sentence, I tried to say it but… I just can’t get it out” You whine.

He scooted closer to you to have a look at the sentence.

He cleared his through and repeated the sentence slowly. You watched the way the words easily rolled off his tongue and left his lips. You huffed to signify that it was still proving to be difficult.

“Let me hear you say it” He said, passing the book back to you.

You did your best to say the sentence and looked back to Tae’s face afterwards to check for him opinion. He looked back at you with his huge boxy smile. He found your mispronunciation incredibly endearing.

“…What?” You asked, self conscious.

“You’re so adorable” he smiled adoringly at you.

The comment made you flush “Tae, I need feedback. How can I get better?”

“Ah yeah, right. Let me break it down for you”

You finally somewhat got there after about half an hour

“YES, Y/N! THAT’S IT!” He cheered holding his hand up in the air. You laughed and returned his high five.

“Lets make this a regular thing”

Jungkook

“Kookie, remember you promised to help me with pronunciation tonight” you reminded your boyfriend after cleaning up the dishes from diner.

“Oh yeah, you want to start now?”

“Yeah, just give me a second” you said going to get your essentials.

You both sat down on the living room floor with the book in between you.

“Actually, Y/N. I have a better idea” Jungkook smirks. You raised your eyebrows in curiosity.

“And what would would that be?” you asked.

“How about I test you? So you have to repeat the sentence in Korean but without looking at the book”

“Wow, that is such a Jeon Jungkook thing to say. But okay.”

The few sentences you said with ease which earned an approving look from your boyfriend. But then the next one somewhat stumped you but you where still quite sure of yourself. So you give it your best shot.

But Jungkook found something about it absolutely hysterical and flopped onto the floor in a fit of giggles. You pouted and frowned.

“Whats so funny?” you grumbled

“That’s not how you say it, babe.” He laughed.

“I’m sorry that i’m so bad at this. That’s why i asked you to help me.”

“I know I know I know. I’m sorry. You’re so cute though” He kissed you forehead.

“Okay, Lemme break this down.” He grinned.

Hello, i am a little new to tumblr and i was just wondering, why don't people want others to repost their art/posts? is it like, stealing their post or something? ok, bye :)

Hi! Hello and welcome to tumblr!

This might get long and relatively angry-sounding but by all means this isn’t towards you at all anon, its just that this have been building up in me for a long time. But just know that yes! reposting other artists’ works is offensive and even damaging to them for multiple reasons!

>>Here’s a really well explained answer to why reposting is terrible for artists in general <<

For me, my posts/art are things I created. Things I worked hard for, and spent time on. Some of them are personal to me. To repost that art/post is just like STEALING that work right from me.

We get that stealing is bad, right?

Because that’s what it is. No sugarcoating, no “reposting”, no “sharing”. It. Is. STEALING

But still, people do it. Sure some might leave credits to the original artist, some might even link back to the original source. But when you’re dealing with the internet, things get muddied real fast. Sources get linked back to other websites, to other blogs that reposted it and some people will flat out claim that work (That YOU created) as theirs. People will trace over them, remove watermarks, add their own stuff to it, etc etc.

And what that does to the original artist, is leave them creditless for the most part and taking the control over their own stuff from them.

To make matters worst, we depend on our content. To some artists, this is literally the only way they make a living. I know you see posts about it like its a joke but it’s not?? Whether its for the next meal, to pay off debt or hospital bills, to leave an abusive place, etc, we really do depend on these art works. It’s not us being whiny or being butthurt on the internet. It is quite literally a matter of Life and Death to some of us.

It doesn’t matter that you say that “love the artist!” or “credit to the artist!” It affects ALL artists NEGATIVELY. It is always a stab to the heart knowing another one of our pieces got taken and reposted again. Heck, not a day goes by when I don’t find reposted pieces of mine on instagram/twitter/tumblr and so on. (Some just leave no descriptions/credit at all, some are a simple “Found it on tumblr. Forgot from who lol”. Fuck you, specifically, btw.)

So let me ask this: why do you guys need to repost them so badly?

  1. “I just want to share them with others!” Then by GODS why can’t you just reblog the original post? Will that physically kill you to do so? Can you not have anything on your blog that’s not uploaded by you personally?
  2. “I just love the art so much!” WELL HELL!! I do too, buddy!! I love it. Because it’s mine. It’s what I created. Rebloging the original post will show how much you love it just as fine! It won’t hurt at all, I promise!
  3. “But I want to share it on other social media besides tumblr??” Listen. Buddy. Pal. Friendo. 8 of 10 times, that artist your talking about is on different social media platforms too. We tend to spread out and do that. Please take time to look through our FAQ/Blogs to make sure? ALSO when it comes to places like Facebook or Twitter, copying and pasting the link of the original post will do just as fine! I repeat: You do not need to repost the artwork at all. Just link them back to the post.
  4. “But I want to add a comment” Then reblog and comment. But don’t you dare delete the original caption because I swear to god that is an entirely different plate of garbage to deal with.
  5. “…I want to get the notes/likes for it” B*TCH ME TOO!! Why do you think I made it??? If you want to get notes or likes then by all means create something yourself but don’t take credit for someone else’s work?? Do I have to spell out that notes/likes are important to the artists that made that artwork, and to have all of that given to someone else because they reposted it is like a slap to the face?? Some of us face that DAILY. We’re ready to kill a man.

On that note, some artists have different ways of dealing with these circumstances, so if you ever have an inkling that it might be ok, GO ASK THE ARTIST FIRST!!!!!!

tl;dr : Reposting is bad bc it’s stealing from artists not only their hard work and credibility, but even their income. Please, I’m literally begging all of you to stop it and to not ever do it

thanks for asking anon.

Top 10 K-Dramas: 2016

The edit above is not in the order of my top 10 but the list below is. This was my first time making an edit so I was just trying to make it all fit, lol. Please feel free to tell me your thoughts on these dramas, I’d love to hear that ya’ll think!

1. Descendants of the Sun (Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, Kim Ji Won)

  • This was the first drama I followed along with while it was airing and it cemented my stay in kdrama-land so I’ll forever be grateful for that. I loved everything about this drama from the cast to the plot, I thought it was unique and funny and so very enjoyable to watch. A soldier and doctor falling in love in the middle of a crisis with brilliantly amusing scenes and secondary characters? It’s a win for sure. I think it found the perfect balance between drama, action, romance, and comedy. Also, the OSTs in the drama were amazing; Talk Love by K.Will will forever be one of my favorites.

2. Goblin (Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun)

  • So I’m cheating a little with this one because it didn’t finish airing in 2016, but this is currently my favorite drama so I felt obligated to put this on my list. This was my first real venture into a fantasy kdrama and I love everything about it. The aesthetics and cinematography is unreal, the cast is fantastic, the beginnings of romance is natural, but the bromance and friendships are probably my favorite things about this drama. It’s honestly just so witty and fun and the performance by each actor is amazing. It never fails to make me smile or laugh. Since it’s by the same writer as DOTS, it has the perfect combination of fantasy, romance, drama, and comedy. Also, the OSTS are wickedly good in this as well.

3. The K2 (Ji Chang Wook, Im YoonA, Song Yoon Ah)

  • Despite the drama surrounding the characters and it’s obvious problems story-wise, I loved The K2. One of my favorite genres is action-romance and this drama was packed with both. JCW is brilliant as always in acting but his action scenes were amazing. I thought the plot was pretty unique and the lead three gave great performances (I know people thought YoonA’s character was useless, but I didn’t; the story literally wouldn’t exist without her, lol). I have to praise Song Yoon Ah for her performance especially because this was the first time I empathized with the villain; I certainly didn’t agree with everything she did, but they gave a depth to her character that I really appreciated. There are some things I’ll never understand regarding the drama, but I don’t want to spoil anything for others so I won’t mention it here.

4. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung, Nam Joo Hyuk)

  • Again, this drama has yet to end, but I honestly think that this is one of the most brilliant dramas of 2016. It’s a feel-good, coming-of-age drama that balances romance, comedy, and friendship and that honestly delivers each week. It tackles first love and all the innocence and insecurities that comes with liking someone unattainable, it explores friendship between women and the unbreakable bond you can make with life-long friends in college, it shows characters with unhealthy issues taking the right steps to get help, and it shows how guys should treat girls and how naturally you can fall in love with your best friend. Most of all though, it tells us that it’s okay to fall out of love with your talents and what you have been doing your entire life; it’s okay to take a break, try new things, and find yourself. Brilliant cast, brilliant writing, and brilliant performances.

5. Reply 1988 (Lee Hye Ri, Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Dong Hwi)

  • I’m late to the game but there are not enough words to describe what a good drama this is. I love that it focused so much on family bonds rather than romantic love. More than the individual families, the entire block was one big family that supported and took care of each other. I laughed, I cried, and I was happy when they were happy. The line between friendship and family is easily blurred in this drama because I swear the kids were more like family than they were friends. The parents’ friendship also made me happy because for once there was no evil parent or scheming; they all loved their kids and were such good friends with each other. There were so many lessons to learn from in this drama, it’s A+. Also, the goat noises made my life.

6. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (Lee Joon Ki, IU, Kang Ha Neul)

  • I had/have a love-hate relationship with this drama. This was my first saeguk drama and I did really like a lot of things about it. The cinematography was beautiful, it really was so well done. I liked most of the characters, especially early in the show when it was more funny and cute. And the actors, even the idol-actors, did well in my opinion. What I hated was how they tried to jam-pack the Chinese version into the last 4 episodes, the insanely terrible editing that just made it seem like the characterization for leads did not align at all with what we knew about them, and the ending. I truly detested the ending; it was sloppy and unnecessary. If they didn’t cut that one scene from that ending, I would have been satisfied but they chose to do a disservice to the characters and for that reason alone, I’ll probably never re-watch this drama.

7. Age of Youth (Han Ye-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Park Eun-bin, Ryu Hwa-young, Park Hye-soo )

  • I loved everything about this drama. The friendship between the Belle Epoque girls made me smile; they grew from being so awkward with each other to being such good friends. They teased, fought, and took care of each other like any good roommates would do while living their own lives. The drama did brilliantly in highlighting each girl’s unique struggles and allowing them to grow because of them. There is nothing I didn’t like about this drama; it was funny, interesting, and just really good. The Belle Epoque girls are special.

8. The Legend of the Blue Sea (Lee Min Ho, Jun Ji Hyun)

  • I like drama a lot but mostly because of JJH’s character and performance. I’ve never failed to smile, laugh, or feel second-hand embarrassment for her character and that just really made the drama fun. I’m not really a big LMH fan, I think he’s an decent actor, but I think this is probably my favorite role of his. He’s actually doing really well and I really enjoy his character. One of my main issues is the plot and direction of the drama; I think it’s been a little sloppy and some things just don’t make sense and are poorly explained. Also it’s taking forever to get through some of the sub-plots and it honestly just feels like a waste of time. To be quite honest and in my opinion, if the leads weren’t as big stars as they are, this drama would not be doing as well as it is now.

9. Doctor Crush (Park Shin Hye, Kim Rae Won, Lee Sung Kyung, Yoon Kyun Sang)

  • The beginning of this drama was brilliant; PSH’s character was the epitome of a bad-girl who was also kind to her friends. I loved the plot; a girl with an attitude problem with no care in the world changing her ways and becoming a brilliant physician to not only prove people wrong but also to get revenge on the people that wronged/hurt her? Yeah, sign me up for a drama like that. The secondary characters were great, there really were some comedic scenes with them. I liked the medical part of the drama and PSH’s friendship with her childhood best friend and the other doctors. What I hated what that she never really got her revenge; they went with the most predictable way of the guy getting out of it for a medical drama and I hated that. He wasn’t even sincerely apologetic for what he had done. And honestly, I also hated that she never really called out step-mother for being such a terrible person. I had higher expectations for this drama.

10. Cinderella and the Four Knights (Park So Dam, Jung Il Woo, Ahn Jae Hyun)

  • This was definitely more of a feel good drama for me. I love the “cinderella” trope so this was just really cute. Park So Dam was just adorable and she made the story fun. There was nothing overly special about this drama; it was fun and light, there were some pretty-boys, and a sweet best friend. All the makings of a classic feel-good drama. My favorite thing would probably have to be the OSTs in this drama; they were all just so good and I still re-play some of them.

On the run bucky finds a beaten up old Ironman plushie missing its left arm. For some reason, he takes it with him and soon it becomes his confidant. Later on, when he meets Tony the other Avengers are confused on why he likes Tony more than any of them. Maybe later he admits in private that what really helped bring him back to himself was the Power of the Ironman Plushie!!!

THERE ARE IRON MAN PLUSHIES??? [A quick google search later] I can not believe there are Iron Man plushies and I don’t have one!!! Not that I’m gonna make Bucky suffer for that because he has an Iron Man plushy and I don’t. I would never do something so petty. [*disbelieving snorts*]

Okay so. The weird things don’t start when he meets the other Avengers. It starts when, during one low-key mission or another, people around Iron Man just–keep dropping dead before they can cause any harm? Which is concerning. And yes, Clint, some of those shots are freaking amazing, but it’s also concerning, can we please focus here?

Then there’s the two or three times (that the rest of the team know of) where the Winter Soldier helped Tony out in the field. In (very recognisable) person. Which is even more confusing. And apparently devastating for Steve (though more because the Soldier is damn good at slipping away without their notice before the dust of the fight settles), but Tony tries very hard to stay away from that angsty mess.

And well. Eventually (inevitably, for everyone who has ever experienced Steve’s stubbornness first hand, which is basically everyone who has ever met Steve) a more-or-less un-brainwashed Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier is brought to the Tower. By Steve, whose smile is so wide it’s embarrassing for everyone involved.

A couple of days after that he is finally officially introduced to the team. Not that he hasn’t studied them, fought them, fought with them on occasion as well. No, Steve insists on introducing them, vibrating with excitement, like he’s brought his first friend from school home to introduce him to his family. Which. Weird implications, let’s just forget this particular comparison.

Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier handles the introduction surprisingly (especially to himself) well. There’s an incident involving knives far larger than a sensible person would carry near their crotch, but they all (read: Tony) laugh about it later. Which draws Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier’s attention to Tony for the first time.

Which is how this whole mess Tony has found himself in starts.

Because when Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier looks at Tony he frowns, confused. Asks who he is even, and that’s the first time he’s spoken in their presence. Tony would be flattered if he wasn’t so insulted, because he’s proud of Iron Man, alright.

He’s kind of even more insulted when Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier’s eyes widen in horror when he asks, somewhat jumbled, “You’re Iron Man? You’re the–fleshy parts in the metal?”

And fine. Maybe brainwashed super-assassins have sort of an excuse for missing the big reveal. And maybe the fleshy-parts comment is kind of uncomfortable, draws parallels between him and Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier that Tony isn’t sure are a good thing. But.

“Well, yeah. Someone’s got to fly this beauty,” is what he ends up saying with the Say-Something-I-Dare-You smirk he always uses when he feels uncomfortable.

Turns out Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier dares. As a matter of fact, he’s got a lot to say on the subject.

Because apparently, for reasons Tony can’t discern, Bucky-slash-Winter-Soldier–and he really needs a shorter nickname for the guy–feels strangely protective over Iron Man. And apparently now that the fact that Tony qualifies as Iron Man’s fleshy (read: most vulnerable) parts has sunken in, this sentiment extends to Tony as well.

And by extend, he means, surpasses it. By far.

And really, Tony never would’ve guessed that he’d end up saying “If you steal my coffee one more time I’ll kill you myself, and I won’t wait two hours to check if it’s been poisoned, you checked the damn machine twenty minutes ago and fed one of the cups to Clint and he’s still walking!” once. Never mind regularly.

So not what you asked for but I couldn’t help myself! The idea of Bucky being protective of his Metal Man, only to realise in horror that there’s an ordinary human behind that protection shell just wouldn’t leave me alone.

Future

The song of the ocean breeze fills the air around you and Shawn as you lazily swing back and forth in that old hammock on the front porch of the house you’re renting, the one with ropes that looked about ready to snap. Shawn spent the day yesterday repairing it while you watched him, iced tea in hand, sunglasses perched on your nose and encouragements falling from your lips. (“Babe, your back looks so good like that”; “Stop wiggling your ass at me dipshit”; “Can you take your pants off too?”)

But right now- right now- with your boyfriend standing in front of you, a permanent snarl on his face that would not falter with anything you said had you certain there was nothing romantic about it. You were also certain that if he had to reach out and pull you into a so-called passionate and possessive kiss you would swat his arm away and slam the door on your way out. In fact, you probably should have left already- maybe things wouldn’t have escalated so quickly, maybe everything you were saying wouldn’t be twisted into something of a villain like nature if you had just talked about this tomorrow. But you could never leave Taehyung- even when he offered zero comfort, you would always prefer him being next to you than somewhere else.

“Please, Taehyung.” Your voice was exhausted and pleading.

“Don’t ‘please’ me, Y/N.” He said coldly and you longed for the gentle Taehyung you were so familiar with- the Taehyung you weren’t worried around.

“Don’t make me do this.” You let your head fall so that you could look at your feet rather than his angry eyes. You wandered if he even heard your quiet voice, which was husky from your sore throat.
