“ah, i see you’re staring pensively out the window, chad. ruminating on the curse of your newfound immortality?” “nah man, it’s just… i got, like, some flecks of blood on my adidas while i was feeding and they haven’t come out…”

“we do not drink… wine.” “okay but is beer cool? and can we still smoke weed?”

Men always say that as the defining compliment, don’t they? She’s a cool girl. Being the Cool Girl means I am a hot, brilliant, funny woman who adores football, poker, dirty jokes, and burping, who plays video games, drinks cheap beer, loves threesomes and anal sex, and jams hot dogs and hamburgers into her mouth like she’s hosting the world’s biggest culinary gang bang while somehow maintaining a size 2, because Cool Girls are above all hot. Hot and understanding. Cool Girls never get angry; they only smile in a chagrined, loving manner and let their men do whatever they want. Go ahead, shit on me, I don’t mind, I’m the Cool Girl.
Men actually think this girl exists. Maybe they’re fooled because so many women are willing to pretend to be this girl. For a long time Cool Girl offended me. I used to see men – friends, coworkers, strangers – giddy over these awful pretender women, and I’d want to sit these men down and calmly say: You are not dating a woman, you are dating a woman who has watched too many movies written by socially awkward men who’d like to believe that this kind of woman exists and might kiss them. I’d want to grab the poor guy by his lapels or messenger bag and say: The bitch doesn’t really love chili dogs that much – no one loves chili dogs that much! And the Cool Girls are even more pathetic: They’re not even pretending to be the woman they want to be, they’re pretending to be the woman a man wants them to be. Oh, and if you’re not a Cool Girl, I beg you not to believe that your man doesn’t want the Cool Girl. It may be a slightly different version – maybe he’s a vegetarian, so Cool Girl loves seitan and is great with dogs; or maybe he’s a hipster artist, so Cool Girl is a tattooed, bespectacled nerd who loves comics. There are variations to the window dressing, but believe me, he wants Cool Girl, who is basically the girl who likes every fucking thing he likes and doesn’t ever complain. (How do you know you’re not Cool Girl? Because he says things like: “I like strong women.” If he says that to you, he will at some point fuck someone else. Because “I like strong women” is code for “I hate strong women.”)

Types of Drunks
  • *Check Jupiter, or 11th House
  • Aries: The Frat Boy-Type. Kinda always trying to bone someone before the end of the night. Pounded like, 20 beers. Probably wakes up with someone they thought was hotter/prettier when drunk.
  • Taurus: Ditzy-Drunk Type. Girl who constantly compliments you and leans on your boyfriends shoulder and basically flirt w/ everyone and asks shit like "What's Aleppo?"
  • Gemini: Toilet-Hugger. You don't *usually* get drunk, but tonight you did. At first you were socializing, and somehow, you ended up hunched over the toilet puking. You havent left. Your bestfriend almost puked in your hair. One time, she did.
  • Cancer: Expresso Depresso. "No, I don't always drink when I'm sad." You kinda just came to the party to "escape". You don't want to be here, and in every movie EVER, you find some goth bitch to complain about existence with. That, or you're in a bar wanting to die cause your wife left you. Your choice, i guess.
  • Leo: Game Maker. You're the asshole who suggests 7 Minutes in Heaven, Truth or Dare, and other shitty games at middle school parties where someone found some Mike's Hard Lemonade. You still get drunk off of the shit, too. Somehow.
  • Virgo: Socialite. You don't really get drunk. You just get buzzed, and go home. You talk to everyone and anyone, and get as many numbers as possible. You're quite the hook up when it comes to some drugs at a party, though.
  • Libra: Hoe. You're the girl who compliments everyone and smiles at everything. You also basically wanna suck someone's dick before the night ends. Who's? Idk.
  • Scorpio: Dirty Dancer. Someone complained about there "being too many clothed people" at the party. So, you took your clothes off, threw them at the person, and began dancing. Truly a Titty Hero.
  • Sagittarius: Drunk "Driver". You're the guy who suggests they go on an adventure, or brought tons of booze to do some really illegal shit. As a kid, you literally drank just because "if we're doing something illegal, may as well do two!!"
  • Capricorn: Bartender. Nobody really appointed you bartender. Nobody really asked, either. But, nobody is complaining. You make the best booze, and the more YOU drink, the funnier, quicker, and cuter the drinks are made. By the end of the night, the drink counter looks a bit like a Scorpio's room -- clothes all over the floor in order to mop some mysterious liquid up.
  • Aquarius: Royal Rebel. Drink the keg. Bring the big ass case of booze. Make some kid puke. And then do it again. Dare devil galore, and kind of an asshole about it. That, or stays in the corner like they may make the party into a murder scene. One or the other.
  • Pisces: Just like Taurus, but also drinks twice her weight and probably asks "Where's the weeeeeeEEEeeedd???" 20 times.

I waited patiently - years - for the pendulum to swing the other way, for men to start reading Jane Austen, learn how to knit, pretend to like cosmos, organize scrapbook parties, and make out with each other while we leer. And then we’d say, Yeah, he’s a Cool Guy.
But it never happened. Instead, women across the nation colluded in our degradation! Pretty soon Cool Girl became the standard girl. Men believed she existed - she wasn’t just a dreamgirl one in a million. Every girl was supposed to be this girl, and if you weren’t, then there was something wrong with you.

“Dean!” Sam’s been pounding on his brother’s front door for minutes now but there’s been no answer. Which is odd considering his precious Impala is parked right in the driveway.

Sam forgoes being polite and proceeds to barge in using his spare key. He’s met with the sound of Metallica’s Fade To Black blaring throughout the house.

The younger Winchester peeks into the backyard and he spots his nephew Drew running around. Sam decides to say hi first before tracking down his brother.

“Hey kid!”

“Uncle Sam!” Drew races right over with his large Rottweiler Spike close behind.

“What’s with the music, buddy?” Sam wonders scratching Spike behind the ears.

“Dad’s stressed out.” Drew rolls his eyes making his uncle laugh.

“Over what?”

Stuck -- Bughead Au

A/N: In which Betty and Jughead live in the same building and meet on the elevator. And well… let just say they hit it off :)

“Hold the elevator!” Betty shouted, breathless as she rushed through the lobby of her new apartment building. Her once perky ponytail was hanging a little lower on her head and god did her feet hurt. Betty wasn’t sure she’d ever get used to navigating New York City. She’d gotten off the subway one stop too early and ended up walking ten blocks home to her apartment in high heels.

Just as the elevator doors were about to close a hand shot out and pushed the doors open again. Betty pushed her purse back up on her shoulder and slipped through the doors leaning against the far wall.

“Rough night, Betty?” The boy sharing the elevator with her was mirroring her position, leaning against the opposite wall, his leather clad arms crossed over his chest.

“I’m sorry, have we met?”

The boy tapped a finger to his chest, just over his heart, then pointed to her. “You’re wearing a nametag.”

Betty glanced down at her outfit. Of course, she’d forgotten all about the nametag. In fact, Betty was trying to forget about the whole night.

“I’m Jughead, by the way.” The dark haired boy said after a short moment. “It’s only fair you know my name too.”

Betty reached up and tightened her ponytail, then reached a hand across the small space between them. “Nice to meet you, I suppose.”

Jughead’s large, slightly calloused hand enveloped Betty’s small soft one.

Suddenly, the elevator stopped moving, making Betty slip a little. Jughead caught her elbow, holding her steady.

When she was back on her feet, Jughead knelt down in front of the panel of buttons. Door Open. No luck.  He hit the call button, and after waiting for over a minute, there was no answer. “Damn management. Probably spooning his whiskey bottle in the storage closet again.” Jughead pulled his beanie off his head, running his hand through his hair.

“What do we do then?” The blonde girl asked, she was digging through her purse and pulled out a cell phone. “Dammit, it’s dead.”

Jughead shook his head. “Wait? I guess?” He put his hat back on, suddenly self conscious with this beautiful girl watching him. “I’ll keep trying the call button, but I don’t think we’ll have any luck. I think we should just listen in case someone passes by.” Jughead slid to the floor, while Betty remained standing, hands clenched at her side. Jughead couldn’t help but watch her.

On her wrist he saw an orange paper band, the kind that you would get at a music festival or carnival. Given how crisp and pristine this particular band was, she must’ve gotten it recently. That only told Jughead one thing, not that he had a lot of experience in that area.

“So, speed dating, huh?”

Betty pulled her hands back, hiding them both behind her back. How did he know? “What would make you say that?” Betty was embarrassed to say the least. A guy like him was nothing like her; cool, confident… sexy. His black leather jacket directly opposed her soft pink cardigan. Combat boots and ballet slippers; the black haired boy and the blonde haired girl sharing the elevator would clearly have nothing in common. He probably has girls fawning over him at every bar he goes to, while Betty has stooped so low as to try speed dating.

Jughead waved a hand nonchalantly. “I had a friend once who would go speed dating to pick up girls, he thought it was easier to keep up a large ‘Chick List’ as he called it. All of the girls he met were looking for someone and he said that he would be that someone.”

When Betty didn’t respond, Jughead got a little nervous. Surely she didn’t care about his friend’s seduction techniques. Quick, he had to salvage the conversation. “Anyway, what does orange mean?”

Betty slid to the floor next to him.  There was no point now; she couldn’t salvage her dignity at this point. “It’s uh- woman seeking man.” She paused, when he remained silent she continued. “You’d be surprised at how many women seeking women tried to hit on me though.”

“I take it the night didn’t go as planned?”

“Is it that obvious?” Betty let out a slight giggle. “Wow, I must be pretty pathetic.”

“Just a guess. I mean, you’re coming home alone so…”

Betty scowled. “You know, not every girl goes home with just anyone. I’m not that desperate.”

Back pedal, back pedal. “Oh, no no no. That’s not what I meant. I just thought, you know, a guy would be crazy to not want to go home with you, or at least buy you a drink after…” He glanced at his watch. “…nine-thirty.”

“Well, thanks I guess.”

“Also,” The boy next to her paused, breath caught in his throat. “For the record, if I’d been there I would have been trying to talk to you all night. I bet you were the most beautiful girl there.”

Betty barked out a laugh. “I’m sure there were other girls that were more your type.”

Jughead turned to face Betty. He smirked and raised an eyebrow at the beautiful blonde sitting next to him.

“What?” Betty smiled. She couldn’t help it, this boy was really tempting to her. She was new to the city, no friends, no boyfriend, she was lonely. And this boy, Jughead, was nothing like any of the guys she knew in high school. They were all jocks, who liked to drink beer in the woods around Sweetwater River and have sex in the backseat of the car at the drive in. She wasn’t sure what kind of guy Jughead was, but at this point she didn’t know if she cared.

“What exactly do you think my type is?”

As if it wasn’t obvious what his type was. “Black nail polish, pointy eyeliner, purple hair, miniskirt with fishnet tights and combat boots. Am I getting anywhere here?”

“You’re all wrong.” He slid a little closer to her so their shoulders touched. “My type is pastel sweaters, pink lip gloss, and blonde ponytails.”

Jughead watched closely as Betty’s cheeks blushed pink, her lips attempting to hide a smile. Jughead didn’t hold back his smile. He’d never felt what the world called butterflies in the stomach, but he was feeling them now. He was scared to say another word, that he might ruin the moment. He didn’t dare move, because then her gorgeous green eyes might look away and he desperately wanted to keep looking at her.

Betty opened her mouth as if to say something, but paused when Jughead leaned closer, his breath warm against her face. They were only inches apart now, Betty noticed, as Jughead’s hand brushed the soft fabric of her cardigan. She reciprocated, allowing her thumb to brush over his other hand and latch onto his leather jacket. Her eyes flicked to his lips, which were parted just slightly, and she finally let the full smile shine through as they both simultaneously pulled the other closer.

The kiss was rougher than Jughead expected, especially considering he’d just met the girl, but he wasn’t complaining. After all, they could be stuck in this elevator for a long time. Betty was now gripping his jacket at the waist and Jughead slid his hands up her arms to rest at her cheeks and swears he’s never felt anything so soft in his life.

Betty knew she shouldn’t do it, but her body was in control now. She shifted onto her knees and climbed onto Jughead’s lap. She slipped her hands under his jacket and tugged a little at the wife beater he wore underneath. She didn’t want anything more, just a little skin, so she let her hands wander under the fabric to rest just above his waistline. Jughead flinched, making Betty pause. “Shit…” She pulled her hands away, beginning to back away, but soon hands were latched behind her back.

The boy underneath her looked much less intimidating now. His lips were wet, slightly shiny with the gloss from Betty’s lips. His jacket had fallen slightly off his shoulders with the shirt underneath still hitched up just slightly. One of his hands gripped the fabric at her lower back, lifting it slowly, his eyes never leaving hers. Betty didn’t move, even as his other hand tickled her back until he pressed it flat and pulled her closer again. With his free hand, Jughead put a hand to her neck pulling her just close enough that their lips brushed again. “Your hands are freezing.” He whispered. “But I’ll allow you to put them back if you’ll kiss me again.”

Betty didn’t wait for a second invitation and fully removed his jacket and started on his shirt. When he was effectively naked from the waist up, aside from his crown-inspired beanie, Jughead popped the one button holding her cardigan together, and tugged at the blouse beneath, though he knew he shouldn’t. Shit, they might have security cameras in here, though with a quick glance around he didn’t see any. And anyway, Betty was already pulling the shirt over her head.

Jughead blinked slowly, taking in the figure before him. He decided then and there that he would do whatever she wanted, but maybe… just maybe, they should wait for later. Then Betty combed her fingers through the hair at the back of his neck and pulled his lips to her neck, and Jughead really really liked the way she tasted. So he flipped her around, pushing her up again the wall of their perfect little prison, and kissed her again. His lips wandered from time to time, making a path of bites down her neck and to her collarbone where he nipped and sucked at the soft skin of her breasts. And Betty moaned softly, sliding her fingers just under the waistband of his jeans.

“I was thinking.” Jughead started, still pressing kisses all over her available skin. “That we shouldn’t go any farther…” Betty pouted, her fingers playing with the elastic of his underwear, teasing. “Until we get out of here.”

“Come on, Jug.” She argued, and god did he like the way she said ‘Jug.’ She flipped their position again, regaining her spot on top of him. “Don’t you want me? I promise I’m not as boring as I look.” She quirked an eyebrow at him, smiling.

“Trust me, you don’t even know…” Jughead’s voice caught in his throat when Betty wiggled her hips, and groaned at how obvious his erection was becoming. “You have no idea what I want to do to you right now.”

Betty smirked. “Then do it.” She said, catching his lips between her teeth. He let himself be consumed by her again, not having the energy to pull away. When she pulled his hands and led them to the clasp of her bra he woke up, slowly easing his hands down.

“The things I want to do,” He growled, “Can’t be done in an elevator.”

Betty smiled at him again and peeled herself away. “That’s all I needed to hear.” She grabbed her blouse from where it had been discarded on the floor, and threw Jughead’s clothes back toward him. “So, maybe we should get to know each other a little better before we get out of here.

Jughead smiled, not believing how his night had turned out.

The janitor discovered that the elevator was stuck at six o'clock the next morning, when he came in to clean the halls. The fire department arrived, rescuing the two stuck in there for the past nine hours. What they’d expected was not what they found. A blonde haired girl covered in a black leather jacket, resting her head on the leg of a black haired boy in a beanie with a pink cardigan wedged in the space between his neck and shoulder; both fast asleep.

Let me know what you think and if I should do a part two just to round off the story. I’m thinking we could all use a little more smut in our lives?

Wiping his clammy hands down on his crimson red pants and taking a much needed deep breath, Stiles Stilinski walked into the loud dance club to attend his ex-girlfriend’s birthday party. Which he technically wasn’t invited to but went anyway, because the man knew no boundaries. He did know, however, that she probably didn’t want to see him ever again and yet he couldn’t find it in himself to stay away. He absolutely hates that he had to continuously lie to protect the woman he loved, the woman he still loves, from the supernatural world but what he truly hates the most is that he’d have to constantly let her down because of it.

He’s lost count of all the times he had to cancel on their dates because someone in this chaotic town needed saving or how many times he had to try to come up with excuses to cover up his secret only for her to see right through them everytime. It broke Stiles’ heart to know that he continuously deceived her, but he knew that he had no other choice since he didn’t want her anywhere near the danger the pack always faced.

The day she ended things with him is the day Stiles hates the most in his life. He couldn’t handle the way she cried as she told him all of the nights she spent sobbing because of him or all of the times she felt betrayed because her own boyfriend would deny telling her the truth whenever she asked. Stiles’ heart shattered when he watched her walk away from him, never turning back, and it still remains that way. It’s already been two months since they broke up, but the wounds were definitely still open.

“Stiles?” He heard a voice call over the loud music and the human instantly turned around to see a familiar redhead. “Is that really you?”

“Yes, Lyds.” He smiled at her shocked face. “It’s me.”

“You seriously came to your ex-girlfriend’s party without an invite?” Lydia smirked, now chuckling along with him. “How daring of you.”

“What can I say?” Stiles shrugged. “I’m a badass by nature.”

The laughter that erupted from the banshee’s throat should’ve offended him, but Stiles laughed along with her instead. They both knew Stiles was a big softie and not exactly a badass, but he could still be tough whenever it was truly necessary.

“Of course you are.” The redhead snickered, lightly patting him on his broad shoulder. “But, I would avoid staying here if I were you.”

“And why is that?” Stiles narrowed his eyes at her, surprised when she, suddenly, stopped being in a light-hearted mood and became serious.

“You don’t know?” Lydia cleared her throat, nervous now that she realizes she’s the one who has tell one of her best friends the bad news. That without a doubt will hurt him even more than he already was.

“Know what?” Stiles asked, now anxious along with her. “Lydia, you’re scaring me.”

“S-She has a boyfriend.”

The second those words came out of her mouth, Stiles’ already broken heart dropped down into his stomach and shattered even more, which he honestly didn’t think was possible. A gaping and bleeding hole took the place where he once had a beating heart. Stiles felt as if the Winter Soldier himself had punched into his chest with his powerful metal arm and he was officially done for. It doesn’t even matter what Stiles does to try and fix himself, he’s now always going to be broken.

“A boyfriend?” He asked, his voice weak and Lydia winced at how pained he sounded.

The redhead just nodded, turning herself around to point to the couple wrapped in each other’s arms on the dance floor as they moved their bodies to the beat of the deafening music. Stiles reluctantly followed the direction of her finger and bit down on his bottom lip to somehow keep from crying when he saw the girl he so desperately loved dancing beautifully. He watched in awe at the way her hair bounced against her shoulders as she happily sang the words to a song Stiles had never heard before. But, he already liked it just by the way she seemed to. Jealousy and hurt flooded his body at the sight of some unknown guy dancing closely to her with his hands gripping her waist, the same waist Stiles held onto whenever they were intimate. The same hips he loved planting kisses on when he moved lower and lower down her body until he reached the area she desired him the most.

“I should probably go.” Stiles stated, trying to swallow the hard lump in his dry throat.

“Yeah,” Lydia nodded, but then smirked with an idea. “Or you could get a quick drink first. It is open bar after all.”

Tearing his eyes away from the painful scene, Stiles looked down at the banshee and nodded. Lydia smiled and lead them through the sweaty crowd and towards the bar, the smell of alcohol getting stronger with every step they took.

“Bartender!” Lydia called once they reached it, slamming her hands down on the counter. “Can you get me two beers, please?”

“Two beers coming right up.” The polite man smiled and pulled out the two their drinks from under the counter.

He snapped the tops off with a specific tool and slid the beers over to the redhead, who easily caught them before they could fall off the surface.

“Thank you very much.” Lydia smiled back at him as she handed Stiles a bottle.

The young man immediately took a swig and enjoyed the feeling of the bitter liquid making its way down his once dry throat. Lydia looked at him with a kind smile on her face, taking her own sip of the drink. She put the bottle back down on the counter as she licked the remaining liquid off her lips, but Stiles didn’t dare put his drink away. He needed this beer more than anything to somehow feel better at the realization that he lost the girl he actually believed he could get back, forever.

“Are you okay?” Lydia asked, noticing how quiet and still he was. Two characteristics Stiles Stilinski certainly never displays.

“No, I’m not.” Stiles answered truthfully, taking another sip of his alcohol.

“I know what it’s like.” She patted his shoulder to comfort him. “But, hey think about the bright side. At least she’s not a lizard who turned into werewolf then left you to go to London. Or a former Alpha that actually killed people you knew and ended up dying before you could ever see him redeem himself.”

A muffled laugh escaped from his lips even though he was still drinking from his bottle and Stiles swallowed his liquor before turning to look at Lydia whole-heartedly.

“Right, but at least things between you and Parrish seem to be working.” Stiles answered.

“Yeah, when he’s not on fire.” Lydia scoffed. “And I’m not even talking about sex.”

This comment was enough to make Stiles’ heart a little less heavy as he detached his attention from the dancing girl to his best female friend and her spicy sex life.

The dancing girl, on the other hand, was currently wiping away the accumulated sweat on her forehead as she continued dancing with her new boyfriend. He was the sweetest and most attentive guy she’s ever met. He always makes sure to spend as much time with her as humanly possible, so much so that his GPA score in college had been dropping from his lack of studying. It was very refreshing to her, having a boyfriend around all the time… something completely different from Stiles Stilinski.

However, it wasn’t at all his fault. He couldn’t control the supernatural or make it go away, but he believed it was his job to at least save the people this world puts in danger. It hurt her so much to know that Stiles had a mysterious secret she could never be apart of. She knew that Stiles loved her and only ever did what he thought was best. But, it’s too bad it just wasn’t enough.

As if on cue, the heartbroken girl turned her head at the exact moment that Stiles decided to take a peak at her. The world screeched to a halt when their eyes locked and finally saw each other again after being separated for two whole months. Her eyes were wide and her jaw dropped at the sight of the brown haired boy with freckles painted all over his fair skin. Her heart immediately beat faster and she felt as if it would suddenly jump out of her chest and fly towards him. She missed him, there’s no doubting that. And apparently, so did her body and soul. The way she’s feeling right now, just by the realization that she’s in the same room as him, was enough to know.

Stiles carefully put his bottle down on the bar counter and tuned out everything Lydia was currently saying, his attention only focused on the girl gazing at him. Her face was completely shocked and he chuckled internally at how astonished she looked. Stiles could see the blush heating up on her face all the way from the other side of the bar and it made his heart flutter to know he still had an effect on her.

Lydia stopped talking absentmindedly when she noticed Stiles slowly lift his hand and wave with a smile on his face towards someone on the dance floor. The redhead turned to see just who he was greeting and immediately smiled when she realized it was exactly the person he came here to see.

“You should go say hi.” Lydia suggested.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Stiles answered, no longer waving to her but still holding the gaze.

“Oh, she already sees you.” The banshee shrugged. “I see no harm in at least going over there to wish her a happy birthday. I mean, at this point, it would be rude if you didn’t.”

Stiles carefully thought over Lydia’s suggestion, her words repeating in his head over and over again. He wanted to talk to her desperately, but then again he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable in any way. He knows how recent this all still is and he’s well aware of the pain pooling inside of her just like it was in him.

“Fine.” Stiles nodded, taking a deep breath before standing up.

Stiles’ ex-girlfriend’s eyes widened even more, which wasn’t thought possible until now, when he stood up from the bar stool and began walking over towards her. She didn’t know whether or not she wanted him to approach her, but she definitely knew that her heartbeat rose with every step the boy she still loved took.

That’s when the unexpected happened and neither one of them were ready for it. The techno beat song that was echoing in the dance club ended and was replaced with a slow love song. But, not just any love song, their love song.

Stiles immediately stopped in his tracks and she immediately stopped dancing. Her boyfriend looked at her with a confused glance, but her focus was locked on Stiles. Neither one of them knew what to do as all of the memories, the times they spent together, the intimate touches and the feelings came crashing down on them with full force. They both almost fell at how weak their knees felt.

The way she was gazing at him right now made a new sense of confidence coming from an unknown source spark in his blood and an idea lit up in his mind. It could either end up really well or really badly, but Stiles didn’t give his anxiety the time to think it over. He moved his legs once again and continued walking towards her which made the girl panic. Her boyfriend continuously asked her if she was okay but she couldn’t even answer, too nervous over the boy approaching her.

“Hi.” Stiles greeted and she swallowed nervously at the sound of his voice again after so long.

“H-Hey.” She responded and completely let go of her boyfriend to push her hair behind her ears, a habit she has whenever she felt anxious. Which Stiles knew about and couldn’t help but smile at how adorable she looked.

“Hi.” The boyfriend spoke up and Stiles took his attention off of her to look over at the source of the voice. The young man told Stiles his name even though it was pointless considering Stiles would forget it in a matter of minutes. “And you are?”

“Stiles.” The boy with freckles answered, politely extending his hand out towards the fellow guy. They both shook hands with kind smiles on their faces.

“What brings you to the dance floor?” The boyfriend asked.

“I was actually wondering if I could borrow your girl for just one dance.” Stiles requested and the girl felt like she was about to faint. She didn’t know if she had it in her to be able to dance with Stiles without falling apart.

“Sure, but don’t steal her for too long or I’ll get jealous.” The boyfriend chuckled after taking a few seconds to think it over. The man was undoubtedly a good person and Stiles actually liked him as he turned around to place a chaste kiss on his ex’s lips. “I’ll be over at the bar with the boys if you need me.”

She just nodded and he looked at Stiles one last time before smiling at the both of them and walking away. She gazed up at Stiles with doe eyes and he couldn’t help but smile at how beautiful she was. Extending his hand out to her, she took it and he placed it on his shoulder at the same time that he used his other hand to put it on her waist. When both of her hands were on his shoulders, Stiles rested his other hand on the other side of her waist. Their faces were just inches apart as he stared intensely into her eyes, her heart pounding heavily against her ribcage at how lovingly he gawked at her. It’s been a month since she found a new boyfriend but Stiles certainly still had her wrapped around his finger.

“You know, when I found out you had a new boyfriend I was really hoping I’d hate him.” Stiles spoke up as they started to sway their bodies to the rhythm of the song that belonged to them and no one else. “But, damn, I actually like the dude.”

“Yeah, he’s a really nice guy.” She laughed at Stiles’ surprising compliment and the breath-taking sound made his heart stop.

“You really know how to pick them.” Stiles chuckled, quirking his eyebrows at her to make her laugh again and a smile appeared on his face when it worked.

“I guess I do.” She giggled, letting her head fall on his chest for the slightest second as she laughed before picking it back up. But, this time she was no longer laughing and had a serious expression planted on. “I just don’t know how to keep them interested enough to stay.”

“What are you talking about?” Stiles questioned, furious that any boy would ever dare think this amazing girl in his arms was boring. “Who was stupid enough to think that?”

She looked at him with pain evident in her eyes, water glossing over them. Which only meant she was about to cry and Stiles’ gut wrenched at the scene. The last time he saw her cry was when she ended their relationship and it was the worst thing he’d ever witnessed in his entire life. Stiles strongly believed that this beautiful woman should never had tears in her eyes, only sparks of happiness.

“You.”

Stiles felt as if he was just trampled on by a herd of the biggest elephants on the planet when she referred to him. The three lettered word took the shattered heart in his body and pounded it until it was a mere pile of dry dust, making him feel worse than he ever had.

“M-Me?” He stuttered, not being able to think properly. “How?”

“You always canceled on dates, you never texted me or called me back enough, you always put your secret life first that you’d never let me in on, and you constantly felt this need to lie to me for no real reason.” She listed, trying her best to wipe away her tears but there was no point due to the immense amount running down her cheeks. “I guess I just wasn’t good enough for you.”

“Don’t you dare say that.” Stiles shook his head, taking one of his hands off her waist to place it on her flushed cheek. “You were- you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

“Then, why didn’t it ever seem like it?”

“Because things are more complicated than you can imagine.” He defended, but she simply scoffed at his ridiculously vague response. “Look, I need you to believe that whenever I lie to you, I do have my reasons.”

“It’s too bad that I don’t believe you.” She pulled his hand off her cheek and began to slowly detach herself from his hold.

“No, don’t leave!” Stiles panicked, not wanting her to leave his presence just yet. Or ever, really. “I-I still love you and I know that I can make it up to you somehow-”

“Stiles-” She cried, not wanting to hear him speak because she knew that if he did she would be putty in his hands soon enough.

“Wait, just let me finish.” He interrupted her just like she had interrupted him, his voice already desperate. “I know I messed up and I know I can never take it back. But, I can change from now on and, I promise, I will change. You have my heart and I am nothing without you so please– please –don’t do this. Just come back to me and I swear I’ll do everything right this time. I’ll always pick up your calls on the first ring, I’ll buy you flowers every damn day, I’ll take you to every party this town can offer because I know how much you love to dance, I won’t cancel on dates anymore because you will always be my priority, and I promise I’ll give you all of my hours when I have the chance.”

He confessed the beautiful words with such emotion and love in his frantic voice that it made her heart stop and melt in her ribcage. Even though she’s been trying to move on and find a way to forget him, there’s no doubt that Stiles Stilinski still had the key to her locked heart. She wanted to be with him more than anything, but she also wanted to respect herself. Men always say they’re gonna change, but they never really do and she knew that. Even though she wasn’t used to it, the girl had to put herself and her own feelings first this time.

“Will you tell me what you’ve been hiding from me?” She asked, hoping desperately that he would say yes.

Stiles’ face fell to the floor in defeat because he knew that that wasn’t possible. Everyone that gets involved in his dangerous world either always gets hurt or… worse. And Stiles would never forgive himself if something happened to the woman he loved. He would rather lay down his own life than ever let her be vulnerable to the risks and threats that come with the supernatural.

“I-I can’t.”

“Then, I can’t go back to you Stiles.” She responded, her heart breaking even more. “I deserve better than this.”

“I know you do.” Stiles’ voice was weak with the tears threatening to escape his eyes.

“But, I still want you in my life. I still want to be friends.” The girl requested and Stiles scoffed at the common sentence every former couple says but never actually commits to. He felt her soft hand rest on his chin and lift his face that had fallen to look up back at her. “Stiles, I’m serious. I can’t lose you.”

“I can’t lose you either.” He confessed, feeling small.

“Promise me you’ll be in my life.” She requested. “Even if we don’t have the emotional stability to see each other all the time, just promise me you’ll at least be there for the big moments.”

Stiles looked into her breath-taking eyes and he felt himself getting lost in them. She was everything to him and he would never want to lose her friendship, even if that meant having a painful one. Butterflies made their way into her stomach when the edges of Stiles’ lips curled into a beautiful smile.

“I promise.”

~

Lydia Martin rushed down the halls of the beautiful hotel with the life-saving tool in her perfectly manicured hands, the sound of her heels clicking on the floor as she ran. Quickly opening the door to the dressing room she so desperately needed to approach, the redhead strode inside along with Malia hot on her trail. Their eyes landed on the girl that used to date Stiles who has now become one of their best friends and smiled the second they saw her smile at how breathless they both were.

“I got it!” Lydia celebrated, walking over to the girl and handing her the mascara that was in her hands.

“And I got this.” Malia smirked, gesturing towards the alcoholic beverage in her grasp.

“Congratulations to both of you.” (Y/N) laughed, taking the mascara Lydia was giving her and opening it to apply it on her eyelashes.

“Do you need help?” Lydia asked, closing the door to the dressing room.

“I’m okay.” She smiled, but immediately groaned when she smudged mascara on her eye lid. She turned away from the mirror she was using to face Lydia, who already had a grin on her face. “Please save me.”

“Alright, Alright.” The redhead chuckled, walking closer and taking the mascara from her. “Lydia Martin to the rescue.”

She began to put on the mascara on her eyelashes as she internally appreciated the rest of the makeup on (Y/N)’s flawless face. She had a simple smokey eye that really made her eye color pop along with the perfect amount of blush spread across her fair cheeks. She hadn’t put lipstick on yet considering it’s the last thing you should do when applying makeup, but Lydia already knew the right shade that would tie up her entire look.

“There you go.” The redhead smiled when she finished the job and closed the mascara, putting it on the dresser her friend was using. “All set.”

“Thanks, Lyds.” She smiled, her entire face glowing with happiness. “You’re a life saver.”

“I know.” Lydia smirked, pushing her strawberry blonde hair behind her shoulders for sass.

“You know who else is a life saver?” Malia spoke up, walking over to sit on the small couch. “Scott.”

“And why is that?” Lydia questioned.

“Because I just overheard someone was trying to sneak in and he took care of it.” Malia shrugged, taking a sip of her drink.

“Who was trying to sneak in?” (Y/N) asked, curious that someone would try to ruin her special day.

“I don’t know.” Malia shrugged. “But, the dude was absolutely hysterical from what I heard.”

Even though the girls didn’t want to believe her, Malia actually had a point. The person that wanted so desperately to enter the hotel indeed was hysterical. But, the thing was, he wasn’t just any person. He was Stiles Stilinski and he would stop at nothing to get inside to the girl he still loved after being away from her for an entire year.

“Bro, you know this isn’t a good idea!” Scott exclaimed at his best friend frantically trying to get out of the Alpha’s grasp. “Go home.”

“Scott, I can’t just go home!” Stiles whisper-shouted, careful not to let any of the guests know about the scene he was causing. He didn’t want to make things any worse than what he already had planned. “I have to see her.”

“And do what exactly?” Scott questioned, his eyes narrowing at the human.

“Stop her from marrying the wrong guy!” Stiles yelled and the werewolf let go of his best friend from how shocked he was, his jaw dropping and eyes widening at the process.

“You can’t do that.” He shook his head. “Stiles, don’t do that.”

“I have to, Scott.” The human answered, fixing his vest and letting out a sigh. “She’s the love of my life and I can’t let her walk down that aisle if I’m not the one at the end of it.”

“Stiles, this is the most idiotic plan you’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot considering all of the really bad ideas you’ve had before.”

“I don’t care.” Stiles huffed. “I have to talk to her.”

“Okay, fine.” Scott stated, his voice challenging. “I’ll let you in if you give me your invitation.”

Stiles’ eyes dropped to the floor in defeat and he shifted on his feet as Scott watched his best friend with a pained heart. He hates that he has to do this, but he’ll hate himself even more if he lets him go and Stiles gets hurt even more. The girl he loves is getting married today and she’s not just gonna drop everything for him. Life isn’t a movie, it’s real and usually comes with disappointing endings.

“I-I can’t.”

“Because you don’t have one.” Scott said and Stiles just nodded. “Don’t you think that’s enough of a sign to let you know that this isn’t something you should do?”

“What would you do if it was Allison marrying someone else?” Stiles asked, picking his head back up to look at Scott.

“I’d let her.”

“No, you wouldn’t.” Stiles disagreed, knowing his best friend would fight for the love of his life until his very last breath. “And I’m not letting (Y/N) go either.”

“Stiles, you’re just gonna get hurt.”

“So, be it.”

Before Scott could even expect it, Stiles rushed past him and immediately ran down the halls towards the room he just witnessed Lydia and Malia entering. His detective skills made him deduct that that’s where the bride was and he approached it without even thinking, Scott running right after him.

The same door flew open from two running young adults for the second time today, but this time (Y/N) didn’t smile and lightly laugh when it was revealed who had barged into her dressing room. Instead, her smile she had on with the girls had faded.

Awkward tension instantly invaded the small space when hers and Stiles’ eyes landed on each other, her heart already stopping and her breath hitching in her now dry throat. Stiles was also shocked, not knowing what to expect when he finally saw her again after all that time. Neither one of them said anything, they just kept their wide eyes locked together and didn’t even try to hide the fact that they were both breathing heavily.

“I’m so sorry!” Scott shouted, breaking the awful silence. “I-I tried to stop him, I swear! But, he wouldn’t work with me and-”

“Scott, it’s okay.” The bride intervened his panic with a weak and strained voice.

“I-It is?” Scott stuttered in surprise and she nodded, everyone else in the room just as shocked as the werewolf.

“So, you’re the crazy dude trying to break in?” Malia spoke up and Stiles just nodded as well, not willing to take his stare off of the girl he wanted to be with. “Makes sense.”

Stiles’ eyes trailed across (Y/N), taking in her sight after missing it so much. She was so beautiful he had almost forgot. Sure, she was only in a purple satin robe and her hair was down in its natural state, but the young woman looked breath-taking to him anyway. And Stiles himself looked amazing to her. He was wearing a white button up shirt with a silver vest on top of it and a silver bowtie to tie everything together, not to mention the black tuxedo pants, and (Y/N) was certain she would faint at his never ending beauty.

“Guys, can you give me and Stiles a minute?” She asked and everyone’s eyebrows raised.

“Are you sure?” Lydia asked.

“Yes, I’m sure.”

“Okay.” Lydia nodded, grabbing Malia’s hand as they walked towards the door. “We’ll be at the temple.”

The redhead got a hold of Scott last before she pulled the three outside and the werewolf shut the door behind them, leaving the two exes alone in the same room together. And to say they were both extremely nervous wouldn’t be enough to describe how intense everything felt.

“I wonder if my invite got lost in the mail.” Stiles cleared his throat, speaking up first. “Because I’m pretty sure I was supposed to receive one.”

“I-I didn’t think you’d want to come.” The bride responded nervously.

“Yeah, but I made you a promise, remember?” Stiles answered, taking a step towards her. “I’ll never miss the big moments.”

Her heart fluttered and she immediately stood up, approaching him as well. Their bodies closer and already craving the other at how much they missed each other.

“Well, I’m glad you’re here.” She confessed and Stiles smiled.

“Me, too.”

“Did you bring a date?” She asked and Stiles scoffed at her question.

“I could never.” He shrugged like it was the most obvious thing ever.

“Why not?” (Y/N) tilted her head to the side, confused as to why someone so handsome like him wouldn’t have a girl attached to his arms.

“Because I’m in love with someone else.”

She didn’t even have to ask who it was, just by the way he was gawking at her like she was the only girl in the world made her already know. She hadn’t cried since that night she saw Stiles at her birthday party, but that strike was about to be ruined with how the familiar burning sensation poked in her eyes.

“Stiles, y-you should really go.” She stuttered, worried that if he stayed something would happen between them.

She loves her fiancee more than anything in the world, but there’s always going to be something there with Stiles. He was her first boyfriend, her first time, her first love, her first everything. That kind of person doesn’t just go away in your life, they’ll always be there lingering in the back of your mind and there’s nothing you can do to change that.

“Not without doing this first.” He shook his head, taking one more step towards her until he finally reached her.

Stiles’ hands gently grabbed her cheeks and, without even thinking twice, he crashed his soft lips against her plump ones. The bride couldn’t even find it in herself to stop him, her mind and body already falling into a trance. She understood that letting him kiss her was wrong especially since she was about to get married to another man in a few, but all she could think about was his familiar mouth moving against hers.

The kiss wasn’t just any simple kiss though, it was full of love and saudade. A word in portuguese that means a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent someone that one loves. Saudade was once described as “the love that remains” after someone is gone and is the recollection of feelings or experiences that once brought excitement, pleasure, well-being, happiness. Which now triggers the senses and makes one feel alive again.

Once they both needed to breathe, Stiles pulled away but kept his hands on her face. He smiled at how swollen her lips now were and she felt thankful for not having put any lipstick on before he arrived.

“I love you.” Stiles stated, caressing her skin with his thumb and smiled.

She didn’t say it back or really had the time to if she wanted to say it in the first place because the next thing she knew Stiles’ lips are back on hers and he’s pushing her towards her dresser, the back of her knees hitting the edge. Stiles’ hands moved from her cheeks to swipe away all of the makeup on the dresser, throwing them on the floor, and lift her up on the surface. When his lips went from hers to place tempting kisses on her neck as he slowly untied her robe, (Y/N) immediately snapped back into reality.

“Stop!” She exclaimed, instantly pushing him off of her and breathing in the air her lungs were begging for.

“Did I do something wrong?” Stiles panted, his voice worried.

“Yes! I’m about to get married, Stiles! You can’t just kiss me or try anything else!”

“I-I’m sorry.” He scratched the back of his neck nervously. “I couldn’t help myself.”

“Leave, Stiles.” She ordered, pointing to the door. “You can’t be here.”

“No, no, no. I don’t want to go and I know you don’t want that either.” Stiles shook his head frantically, approaching her again. “Remember when you asked me to always be in your life?”

“Yeah, but not like this!” She flailed her arms to express her frustration. “I want us to be friends not destroy each other with our lingering feelings.”

“I’m sorry, I really am. But, my feelings are always gonna be there.” Stiles placed his hands on the surface around her thighs, but didn’t dare touch her out of respect. “Especially since how we ended things so abruptly! I never got the proper closure.”

“And neither did I.” She retorted. “But we have to move on, Stiles. We’re just two disasters that are detrimental to each other. We aren’t meant to be.”

“I can’t be apart from you.”

“I can’t be with you.”

Silence filled the room as they both thought, neither one of them ready to except the other’s terms. Stiles can’t imagine a life not alongside (Y/N) and she can’t imagine a life constantly being lied to with him.

“Does he make you happy?” Stiles asked suddenly and she certainly didn’t expect it.

“Yes, he does.”

Stiles couldn’t handle the truth she just confessed to him because in that moment it finally hit him will full force. He would never get the girl he was in love with back ever again. She had slipped from his hands and there really was nothing he could do to have her return. The gorgeous bride before him was the one that got away.

“So, is this it?” He asked, not caring that there were actually tears escaping from his eyes. “Is this the end of our love story?”

She didn’t dare say anything because she knew if she did she would burst into tears and sobs. Instead, the bride just nodded.

“C-Can I say goodbye?” Stiles asked, never feeling more vulnerable in his entire life.

“Yeah.” She shrugged, thinking he was just going to hug her and leave but was completely surprised when he kissed her again.

Stiles held tightly on her waist and kissed her with so much force, she almost fell back on the mirror. (Y/N) knew that this would be their last kiss ever and therefore didn’t feel the need to stop him. She allowed Stiles to kiss her with everything he had in him and she kissed him back just as passionately. Both of them forgot the whole world around them as they let themselves fall into this moment of pure weakness.

“I’ll go now.” Stiles breathed, pulling away and placing one last kiss on her forehead as he let go of her to leave the room.

The blushing bride thought long and hard before she decided that that wasn’t enough to say goodbye. She was well aware she was about to get married, but she also knew that this was the last time she’d ever have the opportunity to be with Stiles again. After today, they would be officially over and, for that reason, she immediately grabbed his hand and stopped him in his tracks. Stiles instantly turned around with wide eyes when she pulled him back to her.

“Wait,” She stated, spreading her legs for Stiles to settle in between them and placing her hands on the back of his neck. “Not yet.”

Before he could even ask what the yet meant in her sentence, her mouth returned on his and this time she was the one that kissed him hard. Out of pure instinct, his hands rested on her waist and she tugged his hair which earned her a small moan from Stiles. She took advantage of this and slid her tongue inside, Stiles moaning again in surprise.

“What are you doing?” Stiles panted, breaking their kiss the second she began undoing his bowtie and threw it on the floor.

“Saying goodbye the right way.”

He finally understood what she was getting at when she pushed his vest off his shoulders and began unbuttoning his white shirt. Stiles didn’t waste any time either, considering she was literally on a tight schedule, and untied the straps of her robe. The satin fabric fell on her dresser and Stiles let out a shameless moan when he realized she was completely naked.

“I didn’t want any panty lines.” She shrugged, taking off his shirt. “And the dress has a built-in bra anyway.”

“Oh, I am in no way complaining.” Stiles smirked, letting go of her to quickly unbuckle his belt and open his pants. They instantly fell on the floor and he pulled off his boxers as well, stepping out of both pieces of clothing.

The two gawked at each other, enjoying the sight of one another’s naked bodies after spending so much time away. Stiles licked his lips at her perky nipples, waiting to be nibbled on, and she couldn’t take her eyes off of his increasing erection. He wasn’t at his full potential just yet, but the young woman still believed he looked incredibly sexy.

Stiles’ lips attacked her neck and sucked hard on her pulse point, his hands wrapping around her back as he pushed her bare body into his.

“Don’t leave any marks.” She requested and the words without a doubt wounded him because he knew she didn’t want any evidence of their time together. Even though it hurt like a bitch, Stiles pushed the pain down and focused on making her moan.

Which he definitely succeeded in because in a matter of seconds, the bride was a whimpering mess under him and the sounds jolted through him straight to his dick. What turned her on even more than what he already was doing to her was the delicious feeling of his erection rubbing against the inside of her thigh.

“Stiles, we don’t have much time.” She moaned, her hips bucking against him and begging for the friction to calm down the throbbing ache in her core.

“Are you wet enough?” He asked before bringing his hand down her body to slide his finger through her surprisingly soaking folds. “Oh, you definitely are.”

Stiles’ middle finger landed on her swollen clitoris and her eyes immediately shut when he rubbed slow circles against her wet nub. The increasing feeling of desire rushed through both of their bodies and he couldn’t help himself when he attached his mouth on one of her inviting breasts, sucking hard as his tongue flicked her nipple. The bride could already feel pleasure build inside of her and she knew that she would lose her mind if he wasn’t in her soon enough.

“Stiles,” She panted, the young man’s cock twitching at the sound of her begging his name. “Please.”

“Okay, okay.” Stiles nodded, biting down on her nipple and letting go of her now wet breast with a pop. “I don’t suppose you have a condom on you, do you?”

“No.” She laughed. “But, we don’t need one.”

“We don’t?” He asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

“I’m on the pill.” She stated and the pain inside of him resurfaced when he realized just why she was taking such precautions.

Stiles didn’t want to think about the fact that she was having sex with someone else and that, after tonight, he’ll be able to touch her, kiss her, hold her, make love to her as much as he damn pleases. The woman that has his ruined heart in her hands was going to be a wife and what hurt most was she wasn’t going to be his wife. The young man decided to ignore his feelings and just enjoy this one last moment with her as fully as he could.

Stiles removed his hand from her core and used it to pump himself a few times as she spread her legs more for him. When he felt like he was ready enough, Stiles aligned himself with her entrance and slowly pushed in. (Y/N) immediately moaned at the feeling of his thick staff stretching her tight walls and Stiles was a mess of so many different emotions.

Of course he was extremely turned on and loved that his cock was now buried deep inside of her, but he was also sad and actually felt like crying. Saying goodbye to the hope he had of being with her again was the hardest thing he’d ever have to do and Stiles, honestly, didn’t know if he could bear it. Sure, the girl he was currently making love to wasn’t the only one in the universe. But, to Stiles it seemed like she was.

He thrusted inside of her slowly and let his head fall on her shoulder at the incredible sensation of his member sliding in and out of her tight walls. Pleasure grew quickly in the two, both of them enjoying the feeling of being one again. The throbbing inside of her stopped, but appeared in Stiles instead. His cock unable to hide how much he adored her warm and slick core around him.

After making sure she was ready for it, Stiles increased his pace and was pounding inside of her in no time. All of the built up sexual frustration and tension between them really helped to make the knots in their stomachs tighten immediately. Stiles hitched her feet up on the dresser and (Y/N) couldn’t find the self control in her to keep her screams down. Stiles was fucking her in an entirely different angle, repeatedly hitting a sensitive spot she didn’t even know she had, and she didn’t care if people could hear how loud she was.

Stiles didn’t care either, in fact he secretly wanted people to hear. He wanted everyone to know that he was the one giving her immense pleasure and that no one in the world could make love to her like he could. She was screaming underneath him and her core would occasionally clench around Stiles, making him scream out as well. The continuous fast pace and hard thrusting didn’t take long to make the two near their much anticipated orgasms.

Not only did the dirty sounds of their moans and screams echo in the dressing room, but so did the sound of the dresser roughly banging against the wall along with their connected and wet groins slapping together. The sounds were music to Stiles’ ears and he never wanted to ever stop being with her. But, he knew that that wish would soon meet its end from how obviously close she was to falling over the edge. Without really wanting to, Stiles brought his hand down to her clitoris and rubbed intensely to guide her to her release.

The knot inside of her instantly exploded and spread an inexplicable amount of pleasure all throughout her body. It was so intense that she couldn’t control her own shaking and her core clenching down on him. Which, in response, Stiles immediately came as well. (Y/N) moaned at the feeling of his heated liquid shooting up inside of her and Stiles didn’t stop thrusting any time soon. He wanted to soak in this last memory they would create together as much as he could and he wanted it to last.

It was when she put her hands on his hips to stop his friction from how sensitive she’d become that Stiles halted his movements. Her ex-boyfriend then proceeded to place sweet kisses on her neck and cheeks before reluctantly pulling out. Stiles enjoyed the sight of her completely breathless because of him and his wet dick glistening with her juices one last time.

(Y/N) used her robe to clean herself up as Stiles put his clothes back on. His pants were the first ones on, followed by his white shirt and vest. The bride jumped off the desk and Stiles instinctively ran to her aid when her knees wobbled and she almost fell.

“You okay?” He asked and she nodded with a smile, giggling at the situation.

“I couldn’t be better.”

“Well, you are getting married today after all.” Stiles smiled.

“Which reminds me!” She pulled away from his grasp and rushed over to a rack that held her absolutely gorgeous wedding dress. “Can you help me put this on? I’ll help you tie your bowtie.”

“Of course.” Stiles chuckled, putting his undone bowtie around his neck as he approached her.

Stiles carefully and kindfully helped her put her wedding dress on and he almost fainted at how beautiful she looked. His eyes watered at the breath-taking sight and he envied her groom because he was the luckiest man in the entire world.

“How do I look?” She asked, spinning around in her dress happily.

“Words cannot describe how amazing you look.” Stiles answered truthfully and the bride blushed in response. “He’s a lucky man, you know.”

“I do know.”

“(Y/N), I hope he’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of.” Stiles confessed, gazing straight into her doe eyes. “I hope he always pick up your calls on the first ring, I hope he buys you flowers every damn day, I hope he takes you to every party this town can offer because I know how much you love to dance, I hope he never cancels on dates because you will always be his priority, I hope he gives you all of his hours when he has the chance, and I hope he does and is everything I should’ve when I was your man.”

“Me, too.” She responded, unable to hold back the few tears that rolled down her heated cheeks.

“Goodbye, (Y/N).”

“Goodbye, Stiles.”

The bride fixed Stiles’ bowtie with a never ending smile on her face and when they were both finally ready, the two former lovers walked out of the dressing room and headed towards the temple. Stiles entered the room first and sat right beside Scott, who definitely had a confused look on his face especially since his best friend smelled mostly of sex. But, also of another prominent emotion that made the werewolf’s heart burn as he watched Stiles gaze at the girl he loved so dearly when she happily walked down the aisle: sadness.

“Are you okay?” Scott asked his brother.

The word saudade is not only the definition of an inexplicable longing for someone you lost, but it can also carry a repressed knowledge that the person of longing might never return.

“Yeah, Scott. I really am.”

Stiles Stilinski knew that he would never get her back in his arms. But, he also knew that as long as she was completely happy-

He would find a way to be, too.

He could see the faint film of fog over glassy eyes, the dull buzz of a shot of vodka or a glass of whiskey and Coke creating a screen between the person drinking it and the world around them. The room was full of people, but they were all in their own heads.

That was the thing about drunk people; they always pretend to be more sober than they are. They realize when something they’ve said sounds drunk, so they overcorrect in order to sound sober. Or something they’ve done, they do it again so it looks like they’ve been doing it on purpose all along. Everyone around them would laugh and the subject would change in another flicker of an action-to-perception beat. The room would spin as fast as those changing dialogues.

Keeping a relationship a secret is a good idea, right?

No, not at all.

‘Can’t wait to see you tonight, baby.’

I read Dan’s text message with a huge smile as I stood in front of my closet, trying to figure out what to wear. There were so many options and at the same time there were none.

Dan and I had been dating-ish for two months now without telling anybody. We were afraid of how people would react since nobody would have ever expected us two to get together. We wanted to be sure about this before we told somebody else.

It was a Friday night and Dan’s friends were throwing a party. He invited me to come with him, not as his date though. I was worried about who to talk to tonight since none of my close friends were going and I also didn’t know about how to interact with Dan in public.

I had to park my car a little further away from the house where the party was held at because all of the good parking spots were taken already, signalizing that a lot of people came.

As I walked into the big house so late that Dan must have arrived an hour ago, I immediately spotted him drinking beer with his friends. They were joking about something and laughing out loud from time to time. Since Dan and his friends were by far the most popular and attractive guys in our town a lot of females were surrounding them, trying to start a conversation.

I had to stop myself from smiling at Dan who noticed me the second I walked into the room. He was clearly checking me out in my dress that wasn’t too fancy but he seemed to like it anyway. I also had to stop myself from telling those girls to back off my boyfriend.

Sweaty bodies were dancing to music that was shitty and way too loud. There was alcohol everywhere and people were flirting with strangers while getting drunk. A typical teenager party therefore. Some people just live for weekends like this.

I talked to a few girls that I knew from school. They were updating me on all the recent gossip since I wasn’t good with stuff like that. I never hung out with the ‘cool and scandalous kids’.

“I heard Tiffany tell her friends at school today that she wants to get with Dan tonight.” Jessica, one of the girls I had chemistry class with told me under her breath. I nearly chocked on my drink at her words.

“Dan as in Dan Howell?” I asked her, gritting my teeth while trying to not sound too interested.

“What other Dan is there?” She wanted to know, indirectly answering my question.

Great. Miss Popular was after my guy not knowing that he was already taken. By me!

“Let’s play Truth or Dare” Somebody shouted in between two songs. The response was quite diverse. Some people seemed to really hate the game while others seemed to love it.

“C’mon let’s play.” Jessica excitedly exclaimed, grabbed my arm and dragged me along with her.

“I really don’t wan-“ I was in the middle of saying as she made me sit down on the floor where everybody who was playing was already gathered in a circle.

My eyes suddenly landed on Dan who was sat right opposite me. He didn’t look that comfortable either and I could clearly hear his friend Jason tell him “I bet it will be fun, don’t be so boring!”

There was a little twinkle in Dan’s eyes as he saw me and he raised his eyebrow surprised to see me here. He was looking as handsome as ever. His hair was a little bit curly and he was wearing the black leather jacket that I loved so much on him.

A guy I had never seen around before started spinning an empty glass bottle and it landed right on Jason, making Dan smirk.

“Truth or Dare” the guy asked Jason. He obviously said ‘Dare’ since he was an outgoing guy and up for almost any challenge.

“I dare you to knock on the neighbour’s door in just your underwear and ask him if you can borrow a jar of peanut butter.”

“What the fuck, mate?!” Jason shouted as everybody laughed and some girls giggled.

“What’s wrong with you?” he asked the guy who dared him to do this as he started to take off his shirt, revealing his toned chest.

People started to whistle as Jason walked to the door and opened it wearing nothing but his boxers.

“It’s freezing outside!” he complained as he wrapped his arms around his own body for warmth, shielding his nipples from the cold air of the night.

He quickly ran across the street, as he saw that no car was in sight. The neighbour, a 50 year old man, was not too pleased to see Jason.

“I’m going to call the cops, you dumb pack of teenagers!” he shouted after Jason as he sprinted back into the house after he was obviously denied some peanut butter.

We were laughing our butts off while Jason’s cheeks were bright red from running and embarrassment.

“It will be fun, right?” Dan asked Jason, making me giggle.

We continued playing and after a few rounds the bottle still hadn’t landed on me or Dan. One of Tiffany’s friends was just dared by a guy to take her shirt off was now spinning the bottle in a pink Victoria Secrets bra.

It landed on the devil herself, Tiffany.

“Dare” she said and I already had a weird feeling in my stomach region.

“I dare you to kiss Dan for at least 10 seconds.”

My mouth hung open as I tried to suppress a gasp.

Tiffany was seductively smirking at my boyfriend whose eyes had grown wide in shock. He was taking a quick glance at me. His face spoke of panic as Tiffany said, “A dare is a dare, right?”

With that being said she pressed her lips onto my boyfriend’s, making my heart sink. And those 10 seconds were the hardest 10 seconds of my life.

1

I swallowed hard although my mouth was completely dry

2

I tried looking away, but I couldn’t

3

My blood started to boil as I watched Tiffany eagerly kiss my boyfriend

4

My cheeks grew bright red as anger filled every inch of my body

5

I wanted to rip my heart out just so it wouldn’t hurt that much

6

I wanted to yell for them to stop but I had to sit here in silence

7

My hands started to shake with anger as they were clenched into fists

8

My eyes got watery and the first tears were about to spill

9

I decided to get up and leave, not being able to bear this anymore

10

Dan pushed Tiffany off his body right before I could get up to leave.

“Y/N is my girlfriend!” he shouted and all eyes suddenly landed on me.

Taurus: Ditzy-Drunk Type. Girl who constantly compliments you and leans on your boyfriends shoulder and basically flirt w/ everyone and asks shit like “What’s Aleppo?”

Gemini: Toilet-Hugger. You don’t *usually* get drunk, but tonight you did. At first you were socializing, and somehow, you ended up hunched over the toilet puking. You havent left. Your bestfriend almost puked in your hair. One time, she did.

Not Josh.
Not Josh.
Not. Josh.

At least, that’s what you have been telling yourself for days. Okay, more like months. But, none of that mattered. Just not Josh.

Josh and Tyler were your best friends and coworkers. You saw them on a daily basis and travel on tour with them. As one of their managers/assistants/creative geniuses, it was your job to fully support them and to be there to do everything you could for them. So it could definitely not be Josh for that reason alone.

Not to mention the fact that you had known the boys for years now. Emphasis on the years. And you had always been particularly close to Josh. He was your best friend. You supported him through the good and the bad. You were with him through the break ups, heart break, happy moments. One of the only constant things in your life was Josh. He was your best friend. Your right hand man. And you were his. So this made the thought of any feelings that could have possibly risen for Josh absolutely impossible. Exposing any feelings (which there weren’t any of, mind you) would be awful. You’d loose your friends, your job, and your Josh. Not that he was your Josh per say but he was your best friend.

You’d convince yourself at this point that the butterflies that flooded your stomach when he smiled in your direction or touched you were purely platonic. You told yourself repeatedly that no, you did not find Josh attractive, especially not when he was performing on stage with no shirt and that determined face. And it definitely didn’t make your day when he would text you late at night, asking if you wanted to come to his room and hang out. You had to convince yourself of this. For your friendship and job. Anyways, you highly doubted the feelings (which weren’t there) were mutual. Ever since his breakup with Debby, he hadn’t mentioned girls or being interested in anyone. He was probably enjoying life as a single, handsome, kind guy. Not that you found him attractive. Of course not.

But you couldn’t help to blush as you looked at the photos the tour photographer had sent you of the boys. There was one photo of Josh, a big, goofy grin painted across his face as he sat at his drums, staring into the crowd. He looked so incredibly happy. And he also looked great with no shirt and that goofy grin. But you mean that in a totally platonic way of course. You say there, staring at that once picture for way too long, studying all his features. You have seen him almost everyday for years now but you enjoyed just looking at him. You enjoyed seeing the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled and his jaw line. He was seemingly perfect, even his flaws were perfect to you.

Not Josh.
Not Josh.
Not. Josh.

“Well, well, well, enjoying the view?” Josh popped up next to you, staring at your computer screen before giving you a devilish wink and eyebrow wiggle and laugh. Darn his laugh. It was so cute. In a platonic way of course. You quickly switched to the next photo, which was none the less another photo of Josh. More laughs left his lips as you stared at him with a quizzical grin, hoping your cheeks didn’t look as red as they felt.

“Ha ha. I was just checking the photos that Adam sent me.” You said, sarcasm dripping off your false laughter.

“You never responded to me last night. I had to watch X-Files all alone last night. You are pretty much the worst.” Josh said in a joking tone but as you looked at his face…was that disappointment? No. Don’t be silly.

“Sorry. I fell asleep. I was exhausted last night.” You said, closing your computer with a sigh. Going on tour with the boys was a blessing but it came with a lot of long nights and you felt you got less and less sleep as time went on.

“(Y/N), you okay?” Josh said, genuine concern on his face as he looked up at you, rubbing your arm with his calloused hands. Somehow, that managed to send a shiver up your spine and make you wanna scream. This was ridiculous. Plenty of times before, Josh had rubbed your shoulder or held your hand. God dammit, during your late night tv marathons, you two would cuddle. In a platonic way. “(Y/N)?”

You shook your head, pulling yourself away from your thoughts. “Yeah. I’m fine. Just need to loosen up.”

“Well, how about this? We have a free day tomorrow so what if tonight, after the show, we get some drinks with Jenna and Tyler? Then we can stay in my room and watch whatever show you want.”

You raise your eyebrow, smirking. “Any show? Even watching Friends? Again?”

“Yeah, even Friends. Again.”

You smiled, feeling warm inside. He was always there for you and always there to make things better when you were down. “Well, I guess then.”

“Perfect.” Josh flashed one of his perfect smiles, getting up. “I have to do sound check but I’ll see you later.” He brushed his hand on your shoulder before running on.

Not. Josh.

————

Every show was electrifying. You are convinced that the boys couldn’t perform a crappy show, and so far they hadn’t proven you wrong. You watched from backstage, like you did every night. But tonight, Josh directed more grins and winks in your direction then he usually did, causing your cheeks to flush and for you to look down at your shoes, praying he didn’t notice.

As the show came to a close, the boys ran off and you congratulated them like you always did. “I heard we are getting some drinks tonight?” Tyler said, wrapping his arms around Jenna, who kissed him on the cheek.

“I’m up for a drink. But first, you need to shower. You smell dreadful.” Jenna said with a giggle, tease fully punching Tyler on the shoulder.

“Yes ma'am.” Tyler said with a wink, walking off.

“I’m gonna get clean, too. I’ll drive you there okay.” Josh said, grabbing your shoulder and you nodded, smiling up at him. “Sounds good to me.” Josh ran off with a wink, leaving you and Jenna alone, with her smirking.

“Well…” she said, giggling a little as eying you.

“Well what?” You said, praying she wouldn’t mention what you expected she would.

“Are you ever, ever gonna tell Josh you like him? Or are you that stubborn?”

“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Jenna laughed and gave you a wink. “Sure you don’t. Just like Josh didn’t know what Tyler was talking about when he mentioned it.” Jenna shook her head and walked off. What the hell did that mean? Josh didn’t know what? What did Tyler say? You stood there in complete and utter shock, trying to digest what Jenna had said.

Was it that obvious? I mean, you had said if you convinced yourself it was simply platonic between you and Josh, everything would be good.

Not. Josh.

——–

The bar was crowded, full of intoxicated bodies and loud music with bright lights. You walked in dreading the evening, but after a drink or two, you felt yourself loosening up. Which is exactly what you needed. You sat with your three friends, sitting next to Josh and across from Jenna and Tyler, who were rambling about something or another. You felt yourself not listening to the story they were telling and staring at Josh, who was laughing and smiling in response. His brown eyes lit up in the bright lights and his yellow hair was pulled back in a SnapBack. A low muscle tank exposed his biceps and you found yourself wishing they were around you.

Not Josh.

You quickly turned away, chugging down a shot of who knows what before Josh looked back at you, laughing. “Take it easy, killer.” He slurred causing you to smile.

Rising from your chair, you looked at Josh, grinning. “Hey, I’m gonna grab a drink. You want anything?”

“Yeah. Why don’t you grab me a beer?” He winked before you walked off, blushing to your annoyance. He really needed to stop winking.

You walked to the crowded bar, looking at a bartender “Two beers please.” You stated, before you found yourself with somebody standing right up against you. You looked at the young man. He wore a button up shirt, pulled up at the sleeves. His brown hair was a mess, but the good kind of mess. He looked at the bartender, stating “Make that three.” before looking at you, smiling. “Hi.”

You looked back at Josh, who was grinning at something Jenna had said. You looked back at the young man before you and smiled before saying “Hi.”

“I’m Alec, and you are?”

“I’m (Y/N).” He reached out his hand and you grabbed it. It felt different from Josh’s hand, Alec’s hands were much softer and unfamiliar.

“So what are you doing ordering two beers?”

“I’m here with a couple friends.”

“A boyfriend?” Alec asked, a grin on his lips and one eyebrow slightly raised.

You chuckle, looking back at your table to see Josh staring at you and Alec, his hand pressed tightly to his glass. The look on his face was unfamiliar, he almost looked angry. You quickly turned away, wiping away any thoughts that ate at your mind. “No, no boyfriend. Just some friends.”

“Well, to be honest, I don’t know how a beautiful girl like you isn’t with someone.” He said, and you found yourself blushing. “So (Y/N), what do you do?”

“Um, marketing, managing, writing. A little bit of this and that.” You responded, pretending not to wonder if Josh was still watching you. “How about you? What do you do, Alec?”

“I’m a programming specialist at a small company. You know, a little bit of this and that.” He responded with a wink and you giggled.

“Here are your drinks ma'am.” replied the bartender as you grabbed two beers.

“I should probably go.” You said, looking back at Alec who smiled.

“At least take this.” He pulled his wallet out and handed you a card, with his name and number and the place where he worked. “You should use the number.”

“I’ll think about it.” You replied with a wink as you walked off, feeling confident up until you reached the table. Josh was staring intently at you as you sat down, handing him his beer.

“Well, who was that, (Y/N)?” Jenna said with a giggle and wink, causing you to blush.

“Just someone.” You nonchalantly said as you saw Josh chugging his beer, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

“Well, that just someone seemed interested. You gonna use that card?” Jenna asked.

“Umm…I don’t know. Maybe.” You jumped in your seat as Josh slammed his class down and quickly got up.

“I gotta go get a drink.” He said before walking off quickly. You looked down at your lap, thinking of the wildest possibility that he was jealous. No.

Not Josh.

——–
The taxi ride back to the hotel was completely dead silent. Jenna and Tyler had decided to go off on their own, leaving you with Josh who was heavily intoxicated and completely silent. No words were spoken until you reached the elevator and said “Josh, what is wrong?”

“Nothing.” He replied coldly, still not looking at you.

“Really? Cause it doesn’t seem like nothing? What is going on?”

“Nothing.” He repeated causing you to look away from him and stare at the door in front of you. Tears pricked your eyes as you went up another floor before you heard Josh click a button and the elevator come to a stop.

“What the hell are you doing?” You hissed, glaring at Josh, who finally looked in your direction. He looked beaten and tired.

“What am I doing? What are you doing? You basically threw yourself at that guy tonight. Are you stupid?” Josh said, throwing his hands up.

“I didn’t throw myself at anyone and I’m not stupid. Is that all you have to say?” You replied, annoyed with your arms crossed. “After not saying a work for almost all night, you just ridicule me?”

“How can you not see what’s been in front of you this whole time? How can you not see how desperately I’ve wanted you? How long I’ve waited for you to finally see that I’ve been right here this whole time. You don’t need some guy in a bar. You have me. I have you. I love you, god dammit! Why can’t you see that?” Josh yelled, staring at you, breathing heavily. His face was red and he looked broken, completely broken. He looked the way you had been feeling for months.

You convinced yourself it was platonic. Nothing more. Nothing less. You convinced yourself it was just friendship as your feelings bubbled and grew. Yet here was your best friend, telling you he loved you. And you found no words to say in the moment.

“I just told you I loved you. I’ve been waiting years to tell you that. The least you can do is say something.” Josh said, pleading with you.

While you wanted to jump in his arms and tell him you loved him for years as well, you convinced yourself this was just drunken words spilling from his mouth. So you just responded with a quite “Okay.” Josh looked away instantly and pressed the elevator button, causing it to start back up and rise to your floor, before the doors opened. You both exited the elevator and instead of walking to his room like you always did, you both walked in separate directions to your own rooms.

——

You looked at your phone, praying Josh would text you, saying it was a drunken mistake or ask why you weren’t with him or ask what had happened the previous night. But to your avail, no text was sent and you sat in your own bed for hours, alone and wishing you were waking up in Josh’s arms in his room like you usually did on nights like the previous one. But usually, Josh doesn’t confess his love for you and you don’t respond with “okay”. What an idiot you were. You were too busy convincing yourself that in some way it wasn’t Josh and the feelings were mutual, but they had been.

You knew what you needed to do but putting a plan to action was much harder than it sounded. So, you reluctantly marched to Josh’s room, forcing yourself to knock on the door, half hoping he wouldn’t. But the door opened, and a tired, broken Josh stared back at you. His face turned from sadness to anger and you saw his eyes were red and he was wearing his same clothes from last night. “I’m busy.” He curtly responded before going to close the door.

“Is everything you said last night true?” You quickly spilled out, staring at the floor, too scared of the response, regardless of which one it was.

“Umm..listen, we can ignore what happened. I would rather do that then-”

“Is it? Please just respond with yes or no.” You looked up at Josh, this time pleading.

Josh looked at feet, before letting out a quite, “Yes. I love you.”

Your heart swelled with joy and you beat yourself up for hurting the boy standing before you. “Josh-”

“Listen, I understand. I don’t need pity or anything. I just wanna-”

“Josh, I love you too.” You said it without even thinking and he looked back up at you, a small smirk playing on his lips.

“What?”

“I love you. So much. You are my best friend but I love you more than that. I just wanna be with you. And I’m sorry I said okay but I just didn’t want it to be a drunken mistake or anything-”

Your rambling was cut off by his soft lips meeting yours, something you had reluctantly thought about for years, never realizing it would come to fruition. He slowly wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling yourself closer to him as your bodies pressed together. You wrapped your arms around him, never wanting the moment to end as his lips danced against yours, feeling all the love you too had hidden from each other for so long. He pulled away, looking at you before grinning. “(Y/N), will you be my girlfriend?”

You smiled, grinning at the boy as you finally said what you wanted to say.

“Yes Josh.”

Forever (FP Jones-Riverdale)

Request by the lovely @imagination-factory : Could you do an FP imagine where The Reader is a serpent (much older than the gang but still theres an age gap) and she and FP have been in a relationship for a while bc Jugheads mom moved on and asked for a divorce so FP moved on too. She’s almost the opposite, loves being peaceful and her and FP are completely in love, Jughead doesn’t know. The situation but catches them together and gets angry? Fluff with FP explaining the story to him as well as you meeting his son properly? Thank you!!

Love it! If you guys want any more FP, let me know, and tell me what do you wanna see in those imagines :)

Y/N woke up to the sound of some kids playing outside of the trailer. She rolled on to her side to come face to face with a sleeping FP. He looked so peaceful when he slept. The 28 year old girl couldn’t help but smile at the love of her life.

She and FP have  been together for a bit over 2 years now and they still somehow managed to act like they were in the honeymoon faze of their relationship.

They were so different, yet they somehow managed to fit together perfectly. She was very calm and peaceful, she was able to talk and get along with absolutely anyone. FP always thought she had the power to calm any situation and make it better. While he was a very impulsive person. If someone pushed the wrong buttons he wouldn’t hesitate to get in a fight with that person. They were life fire and ice.

The girl leaned down to press a light kiss on FP’s cheek before getting out of bed. She made herself a cup of coffee before grabbing her yoga mat and spreading it open in the living room. Yes, a south side serpent did yoga. Besides when she wore a south side serpent jacket there was no way anyone could tell that she was from that part of the town.

“Well this is a nice view to wake up to.” A raspy voice said from behind her as she was doing the downward dog pose.

“Mornin’.” She smiled straightening up before walking over to her boyfriend who was leaning against the door frame in nothing but his boxers.

“Don’t let me disturb you, princess.” He smirked, letting his eyes run up and down her body. She was wearing a pair of black panties and a white t shirt that she slept in.

“Can’t help it, you’re too distracting.” She said joyfully before walking over to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.

“You’re the one to talk.” He said before kissing her.

“I’m kinda hungry. Wanna make breakfast while i shower?” She asked as the pulled away, his hands still on her hips.

“Sure.” He said before making his way in to the kitchen as she walked in to the bathroom.

“Breakfast’s ready.” FP called out just as she walked back in to the living room wearing nothing but a towel, her hair still dripping wet.

“Thanks, love.” She smiled before sitting down and taking a bite of her eggs.

FP bent down and kissed her forehead as she ate before walking over to the fridge and pulling out a bottle of beer.

“Forsythe Pendleton  Jones the second, don’t you dare open that bottle.” The younger girl said with a serious voice.

“Fine.” He left out a sigh before putting the beer back and replacing it with a cup of coffee.

“Seriously? After two years  of being with me, you still try to drink in the morning.” She said shaking her head, remembering all the times she had to slap the bottle of beer out of his hands.

“Can’t blame me for trying.” He winked at her as he sat down next to her. She has changed him, a lot. As crazy as it sounded love really does change a person. Yes, it was hard to break the old habit  of drinking at every hour of the day, but with her in his life, he had something to fight for, someone to help him break the nasty habit.

“Yes, yes,  I can.” She said before standing up and washing her plate.

Less than a minute later FP Joined her by the sink, giving her his plate to wash as well.

“How the hell  do you manage to eat this fast?” She said with a chuckle as she started to wash the rest of the dishes. The slightly older man leaned down and started to kiss her shoulder, warping his arms around her waist.

Once she was done with the dishes she leaned back against her boyfriend  and enjoyed the feeling of his lips on her skin and the slight starching of his stubble.

“I should get ready for work.” She sighed without actually moving.

“You can be a bit late.” He said against her neck making her smile, none of them hearing the door open and close.

“Dad?”

Y/N jumped away from FP, wrapping her towel righter around her body, making FP turn around to come face to face with his son and a blonde girl, who he remembered as Jughead’s girlfriend.

“Jughead.. I-” FP didn’t know what to say. He knew his son always hoped for him and his mother to get back together, never accepting the fact that they got divorced.

“Hey Jughead, it’s nice to meet you, finally.” Y/N jumped in, giving FP some time to think about what he’ll say.

“Who are you?” Jughead said in a flat tone.

“I’m Y/N.” She said, not knowing if she should say anything more about her and his fathers relationship. “And you must be Betty.” She smiled at the girl who stood behind Jughead.

“Nice to meet you.” The blonde smiled.

“Sorry about.. um.. my outfit?” Y/N smiled a small blush creeping on her face. “I’ll let you guys talk, I have to get ready for work anyway.” She smiled, squeezing FP’s hand in encouragement before walking in to the bathroom where she started to put on  her make up.

“Um.. Make yourself at home, I’ll be right back.’‘  FP said before walking in to their room.

’'I thought you said your dad and your mum were close to making up.” Betty said to her boyfriend as they sat down on the couch.

“They were… But Now he’s sleeping with her.” Jughead said, spitting the last word out like it was venom.

“Sorry about that.” FP said sitting down opposite them, now fully dressed.

“Who the hell is she?” Jughead snapped.

“She’s my.. girlfriend.” The older man said, not sure what to call her or how to explain to his son that he found the love of his life and kept it from him for over two years.

“What about mum?” The boy pressed again making FP let out a deep breath, knowing this will be a difficult conversation.

“Juggie, your mum and me, weren’t made for each other. That’s why we separated.”

“But you said you want to work things out!”

“Yes and I did. I  do. But not in a sense that i want to get back together with her. I want to work out something, so i could see Jellly bean.” He told him. “I don’t love your mother. We got together, when we were very young… Your age. She got pregnant. That’s the only reason we got married. None of us was in love. But we got you. For which I’m always gonna be thankful.”

“What about Jelly bean?” Jughead tried, in his mind, still imagining his parents madly in love.

“Your mum thought that getting another kid will bring us closer together.” FP explained just as Y/N walked out of their room, now dressed in a pair of skinny jeans and a red and black flannel paired off with a pair of black high heal ankle boots.

“Betty, do you want me to drive you home, i think the boys need to talk about a lot of stuff.” The girl offered grabbing her keys and her purse from the kitchen table.

“Sure.” Betty nodded before looking at her boyfriend. “Are you gonna be okay?”

“Yeah.” He said shortly still looking at his dad with an angry expression on his face.

'I love you.’ Y/N mouthed  to FP, trying not to make things worse by walking over and kissing him like every morning.

FP nodded, sending her an apologetic smile before she and Betty walked out of the trailer.

“Juggie, She’s the one.”

“How do you know?” The boy asked, like a little kid not believing their parents when they told him Santa Clause wasn’t real.

“I just know. She makes me a better person.” He told him and that made Jughead realize that his father really cut down the drinking, got a job and in general fixed his image in the last year or so. “I meet her in the Whyte Wyrm.” He told him, noticing that he is listening, he decided to continue the story. “I was in a bad place. Black out drunk. I remember some guy pushed the wrong buttons and i snapped. We got in a fight in the middle of the bar. It wasn’t looking good for me.” He said remembering how drunk he was, he was hardly able to stand, let alone fight. “Y/N stepped in, talking some sense in to the other guy, before taking me to her place. She patched me up and let me crush on her couch. Next morning she made me breakfast and we talked. At first, I’ll admit, i thought she was just another girl that felt sorry for the old drunk.” He shook his head. “But oh, i was so wrong. We ran in to one another at Whyte Wyrm, the next day as well. She saw me drinking again and sat down next to me, grabbing the bottle of beer out of my hand. I didn’t realize it at the time, but she started to ask questions, talking, about this and that. She kept me talking, to distract me from ordering another drink.” He said, noticing that the expression on his sons face had softened. “I was absolutely enchanted. She was nothing like the other girls  who usually hang out at that bar. No, she was nothing like anyone i have ever met on the south side. I walked her home that night, it was the first night i was sober, in a very long time. I found myself thinking about her, wanting to know more. I went to the Whyte Wyrm again  and again, hoping to see her again. I was like a school boy, having his first crush.” The man chuckled, shaking his head at his own actions. “Weeks passed, and i found out that she was only in the bar on the weekends, i caught myself counting down the days to the next Friday. By the first month i was whipped, but i haven’t even got a kiss from her yet. I’ve tried, oh I’ve tried, but she always rejected me.” He chuckled again. “I think that’s what made me want her more.”

“So how did you get her?” Jughead asked, surprising his father with a soft voice, the wrinkles of anger gone from his face.

“Roses.” FP said shortly, smiling at the memory. “One day i noticed she has this tattoo on the side of her left wrist. A small and simple rose, so i asked her about it. She told me that she got it when she finished high school. I was confused what it had to do with high school. She just laughed and said that there is no connection, she just loved roses. So the next day i got her a rose. The smile it brought on her face, it lit up the whole room. Such a simple thing made her so happy. And that’s when i knew. When i saw that smile, i knew, I was in love.” He said not even realizing he was smiling. Jughead couldn’t recall last time he saw such joy on his face. “She jumped up and hugged me, when she pulled away she gave me the sweetest kiss I’ve ever received. Sorry sorry, I know you don’t wanna listen to that.” FP laughed a nervous laugh, starching the back of his head.

“I get it, dad, You love her.” Jughead nodded.

“I do.”

“I… I’d like to meet her, property.”

“Yeah, how about we go  to Pop’s today? A dinner, on me. You can bring the Cooper girl.” FP offered.

“Sure.” The boy nodded.

-

“Why am I so nervous?” Y/N asked herself as she fixed her hair.

“You have nothing to be nervous about. He will love you.” FP said wrapping his arm around her shoulder as they sat in one of the boots at Pop’s, waiting for Jughead and his girlfriend.

“Yeah, he really seemed to love me this morning.” She laughed.

“He understands now. He’s the one who asked to meet you.”

“I know, i know.” She said taking a deep breath as she noticed the two teenagers walking towards them. “Jughead, hey.” She smiled offering him her hand, which he shook.

“Hey.” Jughead said before sitting down. “I wanted to say sorry about how I acted this morning.”

“That’s okay.” The girl smiled before sitting down besides her boyfriend again. “So,  how was school?” She asked and before they knew it they were talking about everything and anything.

FP couldn’t help but to smile, he loved the girl. She was his and he was hers. They were forever.

Happy birthday @kliomuse

To my dear friend Cass, for all the times you’ve let me ramble on about this story and for being my sounding board in all things angel & demon, here is a little something to say thank you! Some sinful fun for a late Saturday night/early Sunday morning - which I think is very fitting for this fic!

Enjoy!

Also on A03 here

Boston - 1993

A demon walked into a bar.

It was a dump, the lowest of dives with flickering neon, cheap beer, and a literal angel perched on a stool with a flock of admiring men around her.

Killian felt a flare of jealousy low in his gut at the sight, his vision going red for a moment as he pulled out a pack of smokes from the inside pocket of his jacket and jammed one in his mouth. He lit a match one handed, flicking it to life with his thumb and a touch of infernal fire and taking a deep drag, tasting the bitter flecks of tobacco on his tongue and filling his lungs with harmless smoke.

Well, harmless to him.

HI ummm… can i ask a daniel scenario where in youre very insecure about your appearance (like your plus size)? Please? This would mean alot to me. Thanks!

i extremely loved writing this so tysm for requesting !!!

trigger warning:
fat shaming

- so where to begin
- you and daniel are good friends
- not best friends
- but the type of friends whom you wouldn’t mind to hang out with on a daily basis
- and you were so called ‘plus sized’
- in which is something you were extremely insecure about and had a hard time dwelling with
- and despite you being good friends with daniel
- you’d tried to avoid him
- because people will give looks onto how much of an angel he looks standing beside a 'fat garbage bag’ you’d call yourself
- you were in class as everyone was talking to one another since it wasnt really a serious work period
- you sat by yourself as you clenched onto your pants
- you were the only girl in the school whom wore the school pants to school because you disliked the way your legs look
- daniel approached you with a warm smile
- “hey y/n!” he spoke extremely friendly
- daniel was the most friendliest person in the school
- and his looks gave him extreme bonus points
- sometimes you wondered if he was only being nice to you because he pitied you
- “hihi,” you softly mumbled
- you looked around as you could see your classmates already beginning to whisper to one another as you gulped
- “do you wanna be partners for the upcoming science fair?” daniel asks extremely friendly
- the whispers only became louder as you stared at him blankly
- “uhmm,” you mumbled
- you wanted to say yes
- you truly do
- but you knew if you did
- you’d only get harassed
- “i already have a partner, imsorry…” you mustard up the courage to lie as your stomach began to twist inside
- the truth was, you had no partner
- no one wanted to be your partner
- but you’d rather have no partner at all than be partners with someone who looked too good to stand beside you
- or even talk to you
- or interact
- daniel softly chuckled as he scratched the back of his neck
- you could feel your cheeks burning
- “its fine! will you come to the party after the science fair though? it’d suck if you didnt,” daniel spoke
- 'it suck if you didnt’ echoed inside your head
- 'he’s only being nice to you because he pities you’ you said inside your head
- “i dunno, lets see…” you softly said
- “hopefully you’ll come! i’ll see you later,” daniel said happily as he hopped off to only be swarmed by a group of girls
- “you know he’s only being nice to you because no one else likes you,” a female voice spoke behind you
- “i know,” you said eXTREMELY softly
- she then walked off to join the group whom continuously asked daniel if they wanted to be their partner
- you bit your lower lip as you closed your eyes and placed your head against the desk
- you wanted to say yes so badly
- but you still declined
- time skip woooooosh
- you were at the science fair
- and since you had no partner, you couldnt do the assignment
- but your teacher let it slide
- because she pitied you
- you aimlessly walked around as you saw a group of girls rush past you
- your eyes followed as to where they went
- in which was to daniels booth
- you squeezed your way past them as daniel and that girl began their presentation
- they looked so happy together
- your stomach twisted as you were filled with regret and envy
- what seemed to be like forever their presentation ended
- as daniel made eye contact with you and softly smiled
- as everyone scattered off daniel approached you once again
- “hey !” daniel spoke happily like always
- “h-hi,” you mumbled
- “oh my god what is that pig doing besides daniel?” a voice spoke"
- “eww she’s just disgusting,” another one said
- you looked at the floor as daniel seemed to notice
- “hey, lets talk after school,” he spoke
- your heart raced
- “w-what?” you asked as you became a mess
- “lets talk after school, i mean, we have talked online a lot of times, what’s wrong with talking face to face?” daniel pointed out
- and he was right
- you guys talked online so many times
- you even began to have a small crush on him through it
- but you always avoided him in real life
- you nodded aimlessly as you continued on with life as it is
- time skip again woooooooooosh(in)
- only up10tion stans will get that
- also my bias is bitto and sunyoul in up10tion but anyways back to wannaone
- you were sitting on the school bench as daniel approach you like always
- he sat beside you
- “daniel why do you talk to me?” you asked extremely quickly
- “because,
- you’re beautiful,” he spoke
- hes lying
- you know hes lying
- he has to be
- “you’re lying,”
- “no im not,”
- “yes you are, is this some sort of dare?” you spoke as you slowly began to raise your voice
- “daniel no one would ever like me, i just look like a giant garbage can beside you because you’re just too attractive,” you blurted
- “y/n,” daniel spoke
- you ignored it
- “and yeah i didnt have a partner in the end but i cant talk to you properly without becoming a mess and i just dont look like the perfect one for you in which i doubt you even do think you like me but seriously-”
- “you’re beautiful,”
- “no im not,”
- “you’re beautiful y/n,” he speaks as he chuckles softly and messes up your hair
- you sat there blankly
- “i dont care how you look, it won’t change my feelings,” he said
- “y-your feelings?” you asked as you could feel your cheeks burning
- he softly smiles
- “i should get going,” he says
- you nod as he walks off
- time skip again woooooosh
- so after a lot of pep talking
- you decided to go
- it was around 10 when you entered and a lot of people were already there drinking
- you scratched your arm
- “what is this sweaty pig doing here?” that same girl who was partners with daniel spoke
- she was holding a bottle of beer in her hand
- “who invited her?” she asked again
- “god, just leave already, no one here likes y-”
- “i like her,” daniel spoke as he calmly approached the situation
- “and im the one who invited her here,” he added on bluntly
- “daniel, you can quit the act, we all know no one likes her,” she spoke harshly
- “i’m not acting,” he replied just as harshly
- she rolled her eyes as she walked away when suddenly daniel was approached by his friends
- you wandered off into a room on the upper floor as you saw a full body mirror
- you approached it silently as you looked at yourself
- you pointed out every single thing you hated
- in which was everything
- when suddenly a pair of hands held your sides
- you looked in the corner of the mirror as daniel placed his neck into the crook of your neck
- “you’re beautiful, okay?”

Falling Into The Wrong Crowd-Part One (Jax Teller x Reader)

(A/N: So I decided to start another series, this time it’s for Sons Of Anarchy. I will be continuing the Steve Rogers series as well though. I’m part of too many fan bases 😂. This won’t be following the original plot to the show, I tend to not do that with my own imagines.)

Summary: (Y/N) has always tried to be good and follow the rules, however when she first moved to America she met some women who were the total opposite. Now best friends, they move to Charming years later to start up their business but end up getting caught up in more trouble and digging up old secrets.

Meanings: (Y/N)= Your name

Warnings: Swearing, violence, drugs, alcohol (it’s Sons Of Anarchy, what do you expect?)

As the car sped own the open road, I rolled the window down to let some air in. It was a warm day with only some clouds in the sky and it was starting to get stuffy inside the vehicle. I glanced at one of my friends in the driver’s seat, Bea, who was concentrating on the road whilst smoking a ciggarette. In the backseat were my other friends, Frankie and Alex. The old truck had taken us this far, I hoped it wouldn’t fail us now.

We were leaving our old lives and starting fresh. It was a good feeling, all four of us wanted to get away from the problems. We were even starting a new business together.

If you took just one look at the girls you would know that they were nothing but trouble. They were….rough looking, which made a lot of people wonder why I was with them. Whereas they were fine with wearing a pair of jeans, an old top, worn out shoes and no effort with hair or makeup, I was the total opposite. No one would have put us altogether. They had been to prison for God’s sake!

I really hadn’t expected this to be a part of my life.

“Here it is ladies,” Bea announced as we passed by a sign which said ‘Welcome to Charming’,“our new home.”

“Finally. I thought my leg was going to be cramped forever.” Alex groaned.

I giggled.“Better stretch out then, we’ve got a lot of unpacking to do when we get to the house.”

“Urgh, let’s just do it tomorrow. We’ve got more important things to do.” Frankie said.

“Like what?”

“Like finding the nearest bar and geting wasted on our first night here.”

I turned in my seat to look at her.“Is that all you can think about?”

“Yes.”

Bea spoke again.“Frankie is right though. We need to meet with some old friends before we do anything. That’s why we’re not going to the house first.”

“Wait, what friends?”

“You’ll see. Don’t worry, you’ll like them.”

We carried on driving through the town passing the quaint business and shops. There were people roaming around, families and friends alike. It was only ten minutes after entering Charming when we started to pull into an auto shop named 'Teller-Morrow’. There were some cars parked up but what really caught my eye was the line of bikes. The few men crowded outside were wearing a black kutte too…it read 'Sons of Anarchy’.

Oh my god.

This was a motorcycle club.

And if the girls were involved with them, it could only mean they were outlaws. I put two and two together, mentally groaning. Of course they would know a damn motorcycle club. It didn’t surprise me, they too had their own bikes. I thought we had buried the past.

Bea stopped the truck, smiling as she threw her ciggarette out of the window. They all eagerly clambered out whereas I held back. How were they so cheerful about a biker gang? Did they not remember?

“Come on (Y/N), you’ve got to meet the guys.” Frankie said as she opened my door. None of them could see my discomfort.

I followed behind, cautiously walking slower as I looked around. A sudden erupt of cheers startled me as the men stood out front greeted the girls with open arms. I stood back watching the exchanges. A few other men wearing overalls watched.

“And who might this lass be?” a Scottish accent brought me back to the conversation at hand. He had his grey hair slicked back, the scars on his face making him seem more frightening.

“This is (Y/N), she’s a good friend of ours. Let’s just say she straightened us out a bit.” Bea introduced me.

“Hi.” I smiled trying to not look so scared.

“Straightened us out? Don’t you mean keep us out of jail? If it weren’t for her I’d be exchanging girls for soap.”

“I think that was too much information.” a larger man with frizzy hair chuckled.“This is Chibs, I’m Bobby. Come inside, we’ll introduce you to the others and catch up. Prospects, get back to work.”

They took us into what they called their clubhouse. There were a lot more men sat around, some drinking and others playing pool. As soon as the girls walked in another round of loud cheers were heard. Again I was introduced as the girl who had saved them (dramatic much?). Although they seemed scary, I was sure they weren’t all so bad; except for Happy. They weren’t like the others. We were all given a beer as everyone sat around a table.

“What brings you girls back? It’s been years.” Tig asked.

“We’ve got a new business set up. No more drugs, just hookers.” Frankie bluntly explained, not mentioning the problems back at what was out home.

I coudn’t help but chuckle.

“What, it’s the truth?”

“I know but it’s not really that, is it?”

Bea explained.“I guess you could call it a gentleman’s club? I got in contact with Luann and she was talking about extending her business. So, the Cara Cara girls will be working for us too now and we’ll split the profits.”

Yes, we were basically running a strip club. Again, not what I imagined my life to be like.

“That’s why Luann had been so jittery.” Piney said.

“Yeah, (Y/N) here will be sorting out the routines, so if you have any suggestions, tell her and she’ll make it happen.” Alex nudged me.

Tig leaned forward.“Actually, I think I may have an idea-”

“NO!” the men shouted in unison

The door opened and three more men walked through. One was huge along with his beard, he was like a giant. A man with a faux mohak that had tattoos running along it followed. Lastly a blonde haired man entered and goddamn was he gorgeous. They smiled as they spotted their old friends. They introduced themselves to me, Opie, Juice and Jax.

“Luann just told us everything about your little club.” Jax explained as he sat. I noticed that his kutte had a 'Vice President’ badge on it. So where was the President?

“Welcome back.” Opie clamped his hands down on Frankie’s shoulders and I could see that she grimaced at the strength.

“Have you guys moved in anywhere?”

“Just down the road from our club. We’re checking it out tomorrow.”

“Do you still ride?” Juice asked.

“Yes, of course we do.”

Jax smirked.“Then let’s go check it out today.”

“Why?” Bea wondered as the men stood.

“We want to check out our place.”

“You’ve lost me.”

“We’re also your business partners.”

Everyone laughed at our shocked faces. This Luann woman never mentioned the guys. Everyone filed out of the room to get ready for the ride. The girls unloaded their bikes from the back of the truck. I followed Frankie, climbing into the back. I never learnt how to ride and I never wanted to. Bikes brought back some bad memories unless I was with the others.

“For fucks sake, I must have packed my spare helmet.” she groaned.

“Here I’ve got one.” Jax held it out to me.

“Thanks.” I smiled.

“You’re welcome darlin’.”

I tried not to blush as the handsome biker climbed onto his own bike. Buckling the helmet up, I wrapped my arms around Frankie’s waist before she started up the engine. It seemed that the club had their own formation going on and we were in the middle. I knew that Frankie liked to go fast which made me regret ever choosing to ride with her.

“Frankie don’t!” I shouted as she let the formation and sped off. I couldn’t help but laugh.

The others watched as we increased our speed, also laughing at us.

“You love it!”

Although I didn’t like the idea of riding myself, I loved the feeling it gave me. I decided to do something to get back at Frankie. She hated when I wasn’t holding onto her, it made her think I was going to fall off. I let go slowly and spread my arms out either side of me, the only thing keeping me in the bike were my thighs clutching onto it. I could hear her screaming at me to hold on again which only made me laugh more.

We soon arrived at our club. We were way ahead of the others. My legs were a little shaky from trying to keep on the bike. As I shook my hair out of the helmet, Frankie began yelling at me.

“You know I hate it when you do that! Why do you do it? It scares the hell out of me!”

I only laughed harder.

The others turned up and I could see Alex and Bea trying to not laugh. Everyone mounted off of their bikes, watching as Jax and Bea held up their keys, both obvious leaders. Jax let Bea open it up. I looked up at the sign 'Cara Cara Club’ which wasn’t turned on because it was daytime. Although it hadn’t been used, the place looked alright from the outside, it still needed some work though. Luann had mentioned that she started to build it and wanted to start it up but ran out of money just before she could. The men let us go in first. It was dark until Bea flicked on the lights, illuminating the room.

It was spacious, booths lined up against the wall as the tables filled the other spaces; a huge bar stood at the back parallel to the stage. I gasped as I saw it. There was no limit to how many dance numbers I could perform on that space. I walked away from the group, using the steps to get on stage. A little bit stuck out and I stood there, looking out to the room.

“Show us your tits!” Frankie screamed out. I scoffed before turning around slowly.

“You gonna give us a show then?” Jax’s voice startled me. Looking down I saw that he was leaning against the stage.

I tried to laugh it off.“That’s something you don’t want to see.”

“How would you know?” he smirked before walking away.

Trying to ignore the tiny bit of flirting, I hopped off stage and followed Alex out of the room, wanting to explore more. Down the corridor I could see Frankie and Bea entering an office whereas we were headed in the other direction. There were spare rooms (I didn’t want to think about what they would be used for) and a dressing room lined with mirrors and tables for makeup, along with clothes racks. Alex grabbed my hand and dragged me further down the corridor to the final door. It had a label stating that it was the basement.

“There’s no way I’m going down there.” I protested, crossing my arms.

“You watch horror films all the time, you can’t be scared of a basement can you?”

“Yes.”

“I’ll protect you, I promise.”

I went to argue again until I felt someone clamp their hands on my shoulders whilst yelling out. I screamed grabing Alex for protection. Turning around, Tig was laughing whilst I was trying to regain my breath.

“What the hell, Tig!?” I shouted at him.

“I’m sorry darlin’, I just had to.”

“You know I can ban you from here, right?”

“No, but we’re business partners so you can’t.”

“I can try.”

He walked away chuckling. I turned back to Alex who was opening the door. She turned on the lights before walking down the steps. All that was down there were the boilers and main switches for the electricity. The cellar for the alcohol was in a different part.

“Well that was boring.” Alex huffed as she turned around to leave.

I grabbed onto her arm before she could move.“Alex, how long have you known those guys?”

“For years. I used to live here for a while, I sold drugs to them. When I left I made sure they still got what they want. Before we met you, Frankie and Bea came back with me for a little reunion and we helped them out with some club stuff.”

“I thought we were supposed to be getting away from this sort of life. Motorcycle clubs were the reason we left-”

She suddenly turned angry.“They are nothing like the others! Don’t mention it to them. In fact, don’t bring it up, ever.”

“I never said that they were the bad ones, it’s just….after all that happened and now we’re suddenly doing business with these outlaws? They may not be the trouble but they could bring it. What if the others come back for us? For me!?”

“They won’t come back, you’re safe now. This conversation ends now.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“Can someone help me please? I think I’ve read these instructions wrong.” I called out in the house yet received no reply.

After inspecting Cara Cara Club closer and trying to forget my conversation with Alex, the club had to rush off as they had a meeting. They wanted us to stay for drinks but they didn’t know how long they would be. We understood and decided to see our own home. As we arrived I started to feel nervous. This all seemed like a repeat, as if I was doing this all over again. We were supposed to be getting away from it all, not attracting the danger.

Our house was no mansion, but with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, study, kitchen and garage it was exactly what we needed. Bea had been smart enough to save her money she earned from her drug selling which helped pay for everything. Each one of us grabbed the boxes, taking multiple trips back and forth between the car to get everything inside. Once done we decided to order takeaway and save un-packing for the next day.

Well, Frankie was right about one thing.

The next morning, we all started to make the house our home. However, as soon as the valuables and personal belongings were out of the way, some D.I.Y had to be done. Some furniture came with the house, luckily the only room that needs furnishing was the dining room. I figured that I would start with the chairs, they didn’t seem so hard to build.

“Hello!” a familiar, Scottish male voice rang through the house. Who left the front door open!?

“In here Chibs!” Lord knows where the others were.

He leaned against the door frame.“Hey lass, whatcha’ doin’ down there?”

I was sat on the floor with the chair not even half built. Pieces laid around me along with the nails and screws. My hand limply held onto the hammer. I was bored and frustrated, this was only the first chair.

“Well, I’m trying to build some furniture. It seems that I’m on my own though, I have no idea What the others are doing.” I sighed.

“You need some help?” Jax appeared at the door.

“No thank you, I know you’ve got more important things to worry about.”

“No really, I don’t mind.”

“We were jus’ goin’ to head on up to the club, wanted to make sure everything was ok before we really get down to business.” Chibs explained.“We were jus’ wonderin’ if you girls wanted to join us.”

“Tell the others wherever the hell they are that they can go. I’ll manage this.”

As Chibs left, Jax came and sat by me. I was glancing over the instructions again and again, not understanding where I went wrong. I may have not had much experience with building but I wasn’t an idiot.

“Pass it here.” Jax smiled.

The others soon left and I was sort of thankful. When I first saw them that morning they hadn’t been helping too much, either laying around doing nothing or not taking this seriously. Ideally, I wanted everything unpacked and ready before the evening but that didn’t look like it was going to happen. As soon as Jax took over the chairs were built in no time. Granted, I sat back and he did most of the work but I kept him company and have him some beers. We were able to build the table together though as that defintely needed two people. Finally after two hours of building, the table and chairs were finished.

We were leaning our backs on the wall as we say down, Jax lighting a cigarette. He offered me one which I politely declined.

“Hey, I hope you don’t mind me saying this, but how did you end up becoming friends with people like Bea, Frankie and Alex?” his head lulled to the side to look at me as smoke emitted from his mouth.

I hesitated.“Sort of caught up at the wrong time. A friend of mine had an abusive boyfriend and I tried to help. The girls were there to help even though we were strangers.”

“But you stuck with them?”

“Yeah, it was more serious than it sounds.” I took a swig of beer.

“That’s loyalty right there. They ever tell you about us?”

“No, never.”

“Probably didn’t want to scare you off.”

“Believe me, I have seen worse.”

“Like what?”

“Oh, you don’t want to know.”

“We’re going to get you sooo wasted, I take my job as best friend to the birthday boy very seriously.” I giggle, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek and he chuckles.

“Men always say that as the defining compliment, don’t they? Maybe they’re fooled because so many women are willing to pretend to be this girl.”
