i know what my new phone background's gonna be

New Year’s Eve Surprise:

I had a couple hours left before I had to leave for the party, which meant I had to start getting ready. I touched my hair to find out it was super dirty. That’s not cute. I checked the clock again. 4:37. Okay I have enough time to wash my hair and straighten it. Or maybe I’ll leave it curly? I’ll see how it goes with my outfit.

After my not-so-quick shower, I decided on leaving my hair in its natural curls, with the help of some mousse to keep them from going crazy. I got dressed in something cute, just so it looked like I actually planned my outfit. I actually had, I just ended up not liking it as much as I did before. I was ready in under three hours, which is a world record for me. It was almost eight when I texted J telling him I was on my way. He responded with a “okay great, see you there ;)”

I asked my Über to leave me in front of the house. I paid and thanked him, wishing him a happy new year on my out. I walked into the crowded house, trying to spot that familiar blond head. I ended up bumping into Gilinsky, who had Madison on his arm. “Hey guys!” I smiled.

“Hey Y/N! Happy New Year!” Madison smiled back.

“Thanks. Have you guys seen Johnson? He asked me to meet him here and I have absolutely no idea where he is.” I explained, looking around.

“Oh.” Gilinsky smirked. What is he smirking about? “He’s with Sam by the kitchen.”

“Thanks G! See you guys later!” I waved, walking away to find Jack. I found him right where G told me he’d be: by the kitchen, with Sam. I didn’t even get two feet away from him when he saw me and he smiled like a little kid on Christmas. “Princess! You’re here! Finally. Sam was getting boring.” He smiled again, embracing me into a hug.

“I’m here and at your service. How’s my favorite boy doing?” I asked.

“Much better now that you’re here.” He responded, making me blush. “Hey, come here, Sam wanted to say hi when you got here.” He grabbed my hand and directed me back to the couch he was sitting on. “Sam! Look who made it!”

“It’s my favorite baby girl! Y/N!” He stood up and gave me hug.

“I see I’m not your only baby girl!” I joked.

“Shh. You’re my favorite so it’s okay.” He pulled away from the embrace. I rolled my eyes and sat down in between them. Johnson put his arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to him. After sitting and talking for a couple minutes, I said, “Hey, I’m gonna get a drink, wanna come?” Jack just nodded and pulled me towards the kitchen. I nodded along to the beat of the music in the background while making our drinks.

“Damn, you should be a bartender.” J commented as he downed his drink. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Don’t even J, you and I both know I’m not that good.” He just shook his head. I checked the time on my phone. 10:26. I sighed, “In about an hour and a half, his room is gonna be super depressing with everyone but me having a New Years kiss.”

“What do you mean everyone? I’m still a single pringle not getting any.”

“Shut up, you already know you can get anyone.”

“Have you seen yourself? You can convert literally anyone.” I blushed.

“Thanks J. You’re the bestest person anyone could count on.”

“Hey I have an idea. While everyone, but us two are having their New Years kiss, you can be looking for your surprise I’m gonna give you.” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

“Just as long as I don’t end up in a random room upstairs finding you with your dick out, sure. Sounds fun.” I laughed.

“That’s definitely not it. I promise.” He laughed along.

We kept talking, laughing and taking silly pictures of each other until Jack excused himself to go to the bathroom. I checked my phone for the time to see its 11:56. Time flew by! I went to the giant group of people by the tv to see the count down. I kept looking around for Jack, wanting to be with him going into the new year.

Happy New Year!!

Everyone in the room was cheering and I heard a bottle of champagne being popped. Everyone around me was having their New Years kiss while I was walking around looking for my best friend. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see Johnson. Finally. “There you are! I want my surprise!!”

He smiled and said, “Surprise.” I was confused until he kissed me, and to both of our surprise, I kissed him back. “Happy New Years babe.” He whispered as he pulled away, resting his forehead on mine.
