imagine if it’s actually “apple tree yard” that airs tonight and the producers and writers get all happy because of the great viewer ratings and then someone’s like “…sorry but no one was actually excited for your show. it was just the whole sherlock fandom hoping for a 4th episode”
Would you explain the "Stitch'n'Bitch" term please?
I had to have this explained to me too! It’s a funny expression, isn’t it? But it’s much more handy than “women’s knitting circle” or “the tuesday quilting bee” and also I think more inclusive!
“Stitch” usually means knitting, as in, “Oh no, I’ve dropped a stitch!” though obviously it can also refer to sewing, which I’m much better at. Knitting’s fine and the war called for a lot of it but I’m not very good at it and all the fellas made fun of how bad my knitting was (Dugan, now, there’s a fella could knit you a watertight sock in a wink). I’d rather patch a shirt than knit a scarf.
Anyway, the “n’bitch” part is a little touchier, I know, because it’s a terrible word, but in this case it just refers to chattin’ while you’re working. I mean when you get a bunch of friends together, that’s what you do, isn’t it? You have a bit of a natter, as my Ma used to call it, may she rest in peace. You gossip and you tell about your day and maybe complain a bit to get it all out before you have to go put up with all the things you were complaining about again.
So a stitch’n’bitch is a bunch of folks getting together to make some useful things and have a natter at one another. Which let me tell you, in my experience of this world from the twenties to the twenty-teenies, is a pretty universal human experience.
I started writing this before this week’s ep, so it takes place between episodes 81 and 82.
They’ve used Maori words for Ashari stuff before, so I used some here. I really tried as hard as I could to get it as close as right to possible, but I’m terrible at languages and I know it’s probably wrong. If there’s someone who knows Maori out there, please tell me what I need to fix.
It’s one of the guards patrolling the space between the city and the castle who first sees the Sun Tree open. It’s early in the afternoon, and a slight fog still hangs in the air, the late winter weather warmer than it had been the day before, and the guard has to squint to be sure of what he’s seeing. Had he not seen Vox Machina walk into and out of that tree so many times now he would have simply thought he was seeing things. But he knows now for certain that he’s not.
So he tells his superior who walks down to the tree to see exactly what’s going on. He then tells his superior, who alerts the head guard on shift. It’s the head guard who goes to Cassandra with the news that someone has come through the Sun Tree and to deliver the message that had been sent.
It’s Cassandra, accompanied by another guard, who goes to knock on Keyleth’s door.
The sound awakens Vax, but not Keyleth, who doesn’t even stir. She’s sleeping so deeply that were it not for the fact that he could feel her chest rising and falling against his hand, where it rests between her breast, his fingers wrapped around hers, he might worry she was dead.
He’s not sure if he should answer it. Right now, Vex is the only one he’s certain knows about his relationship with Keyleth. By no means would he mind everyone else knowing, but it’s not something he and Keyleth have discussed, and he isn’t sure how she feels about the matter.
But he’s also pretty sure that everyone would know well enough not to knock unless it was important. They had just taken down Thordak and then lost a fight against another dragon and they needed there rest. There was no way anyone in the castle, or even the city for that matter, would be rude or stupid enough to disturb them if it wasn’t an urgent matter.
This is the woman that birthed me. I know that sounds terrible but her and I don’t exactly see eye to eye on things. She’s more into her looks and money of course. And I’m more like I don’t really care about that stuff to much. But any-who this is the one and only Bella Goth. She is a wonderful wife and amazing mother, at least that’s what the whole neighborhood thinks. They are terribly wrong. My mother isn’t the greatest, she doesn’t really care about us kids. Heck she mostly just spends all of my dads money on anything she wants. As you can tell I don’t like this woman but my dad loves her and well I gotta just put up with her for another year. Thank god!
Just a lil notification about ships cause I haven’t posted any in a while and y’all must be wondering what the hell I’m doing. Don’t freak out. I had my 18th birthday on Friday I also got super drunk but we’re not having this conversation so I’ve been kinda busy, but tomorrow I’m getting back into ships and I want to upload at least 15, so hopefully I get that done and don’t procrastinate like the bitch I am. Anyway, ALL ships sent to me are gonna get down, hopefully by the end of the week but don’t hold me to that cause y’all know I’m terrible with this.
one of the reasons mental illness sucks so fucking much is because people around you can literally tell you again and again that they love you, that they think you’re cool and funny, that they support you in every way, that you’re talented or intelligent, and no matter how many times they say it you’ll always cringe and shake your head and say “no, no i’m not, really” but the SECOND someone says one bad thing about you, even just once. You believe it completely.
and it turns out that clint, who has been humming christmas carols for weeks now, doesnt actually know any of the real lyrics, and has just been making them up as he goes along. this is his latest masterpiece:
Winter Soldier’s Gunnin’ You Down (To the tune of Santa Claus is Coming to Town)
You better watch out, you better not
You’ll probably bleed out, I’m
tellin’ you why
Winter Soldier’s gunnin’ you
He’s got a hit list, he’s
starting a fight
He’s clenching his fist, it’s
shiny and bright
Winter Soldier’s gunnin’ you
He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
His aim is really fucking good and
he’s gonna assassinate
