i just watched this and it was visually the most beautiful

guys i’ve just watched beauty and the beast, and, i’m, so, speechless.

i’ll try to not tell you spoilers since most of the countries the movie is being released only tomorrow (but here it was released today).

my thoughts are:
- well, the movie is visually stunning and pleasing to see, that movie is a visual masterpiece.
- there’s lots of differences between this new version and the original one, but some of them are not really different at all, and the different things that happened are still magical and some answered questions that we didn’t even know we needed to know, and the little different details are just fascinating, i’m deeply in love with this movie.
- and can we please talk about how perfect the cast is? luke evans is the perfect gaston, seriously, he totally brought the character to life, and dan stevens is such a perfect beast/prince, and ewan mcgregor as lumiere !!!!!!! absolutely wonderful ????? and emma watson as belle, josh gad as lefou EVERYBODY IN THAT CAST IS SIMPLY AMAZING !!!!!!!!!
- well so i mentioned lefou and i just can not forget to talk about the controversy about him being disney’s first openly gay character. i was really happy about it because that is such a big step from disney since they’re really, you know, traditional, but i was kinda worried because lefou is mostly used for comic relief, and also his name literally means ‘the fool’, i was worried about what disney could give us but in my opinion i can say i’m not disappointed. i really like josh gad and he perfectly played him, and i can’t lie he was the one who caused most of the funny stuff in the movie, but he’s a really really good character, i swear they portrayed him in this movie in a better vision, and the “especially gay moment” the director promised us in the movie is not something that is “so shocking” but it’s just really natural and i love it a lot, i believe this is the beggining of more lgbtq+ characters in the disney world and i’m pleased, lefou is amazing my dudes.
- and the songs ?!!?!!!! the original soundtrack is already incredible but the new songs, you guys better be ready because i bet it will kill you in so many different ways like it did to me.
- it’s such a rare thing for me to cry in movies, i swear the last movie i remember crying it was httyd 2, but you guys, I CRIED, A LOT.

i just want to watch it again and again, it’s one of my favorite movies from this year so far, i believe you guys will fall in love with it just like i felt, there’s no words to describe it, it’s just so magical.

“Warrior, do not compare her with the others”

I’m going to share this video again because it’s in the most watched videos on YouTube right now and there are almost 1 million visualizations and almost 100k people who liked the video. But as it is in Portuguese not everyone will understand. But with two friends Kaah (who translated) and Sofia (who reviewed the translation) I will post the lyrics here. Please share so that others can watch.

Girl/Hinata:

I always loved you

Even from afar, without having you

You gave me the strength to live.

And become who I wanted to be

Boy/Naruto:

You’ll never see a girl like her.

More beautiful in feelings than a novel romance

Beautiful, naive, as kind as Cinderella

Lucky is the man standing beside her

Warrior, do not compare her with the others

She fought to fulfill his parents’ demands.

Her strength goes beyond what you think she is capable of

This girl doesn’t give up on what she wants, but

I was so blind not to see

That just beside me she wanted to live

While with another person I was deceiving myself

She did not give up on me even if I made her suffer

What an idiot, how could I not perceive it?

That the girl who loved me was always there for me

I know this feeling I don’t deserve to receive

But this time I’ll try to learn from my mistakes

Girl/Hinata:

I always loved you

Even from afar, without having you

You gave me the strength to live.

And become who I wanted to be

Boy/Naruto:

She was always there to help me.

When I fell, she  made me get up.

I fought so hard for my dreams that I wanted to reach

I ended up blind without being able to see

I didn’t notice

That in front of me was who I should love

I always thought I was right and could not go wrong

But only when I lost her did I valued her

And I lost her, and I finally understood

That who I wanted was always there

It took a long time to realize

How idiot I was, I have to admit it

This girl managed to surprise me.

Her gaze was always beyond what I could see

I had to lose her , to realize

That beside her is where I wanted to live

Girl/Hinata:

I always loved you

Even from afar, without having you

You gave me the strength to live.

And become who I wanted to be

Boy/Naruto:

I had to lose her, to realize

That beside her is where I wanted to live

Yes, one day may be the end.

It may be too late and everything will end suddenly.

But toher I will say

I will not go backwith my word,

With you I want to live

Girl/Hinata:

I always loved you

Even from afar, without having you

You gave me the strength to live.

And become who I wanted to be

It may be too late and everything will end suddenly.

But to her I will say

I will not go back with my word,

With you I want to live

Girl/Hinata:

I always loved you

Even from afar, without having you

You gave me the strength to live.

And become who I wanted to be

What to Watch, Scenery Version

Looking for anime to watch where you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery? Here are five of my top picks for some of the most visually stunning shows that I’ve watched. Please keep in mind these are personal opinions, but if you think you’ve got a better selection, feel free to PM me and I’ll add it to the list.

Let’s start off with Nagi No Asukara. While the beginning is a bit slow, the scenery is breathtaking and unlike any other anime due to the fact that a significant portion of it takes place underwater. Yes, you read that right, the show takes place in the future, or perhaps an alternate reality of current time. Humans live in the seas thanks to a special layer of skin called ena, which sparkles in the light. Not only does this make for an interesting story, but it also includes some visually stunning scenes.

The next on the list is 5 Centimeters Per Second. This is arguably one of the most beautiful anime of all time. The animation is pristine and on a level entirely on its own. Told in three interconnecting segments, it is a romantic drama about making it through a cold world, only to find the warmth of love. It is definitely a coming of age story about accepting the fact that you are becoming an adult and moving on. The visuals appropriately take cues from the story, beginning with a cold winter and ending with a warm spring. I will only be mentioning one of Makoto Shinkai’s films, although all of his works are visually brilliant and include The Garden of Words, Cross Road, and Your Name.

Classical music fans rejoice! Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso, also known in English as “Your Lie in April,” is up next. While you may think that you’ve figured out the reason for the name in the first episode, hold on until the end, where the truth will be revealed. Another love story, this one about a boy who was once referred to as “The Human Metronome,” is longer no longer able to hear the sound of the piano. After years of only playing for his job at a karaoke bar, he comes across a girl in April who plays the violin. I hope you like tissues, because you’re gonna need them. There is so much color not only in visuals, but in the characters themselves.

Owari No Seraph comes next. The reason I included this one is because not only are the characters intensely complex, but the backgrounds are too. They’re so rich in attention to detail that I felt it only fair to add it to the list. Against the dreary backgrounds, the character’s very pronounced hair colors stands out a lot, giving it a very vivid contrast to what Japan has become. I won’t say much about it, other than that it takes place in the future after a virus mysteriously wipes out most of the adult population at the same time vampires declare themselves the rulers of Japan.

Last, but most certainly not least, is Zankyou No Terror. To be honest, I don’t think this show gets enough credit. Also known as Terror in Resonance, it’s about two boys who want to get back at Japan for their past. Joined by a girl who suffered at the hands of her mother, the three of them plan to go out with a bang (no pun intended). The visuals are so crystal clear it almost looks as though you’re looking at the real world. When I first turned this on, my parents didn’t believe I was watching an animated show.

Bonus round! Puella Madoka Magica! Don’t kill me, I know, I’m a horrible person for including this, but it is so bright and colorful compared to the story line. It begins as a very fun show where a dark, mysterious transfer student appears in their lives, then a magical squirrel offers the girls a contract in exchange for becoming a magical girl. Don’t be fooled by the bright colors and beautiful backgrounds, this show will leave you thinking and perhaps questioning of everything in your life.

Edit! Someone suggested that I add these two so here they are: the first one is Norn9: norn+nonet. Based on the otome game, a nameless girl with a mysterious past is chosen to join the crew of Norn, whose mission is to maintain peace throughout the world. While I have not personally watched it, from what I can tell of the animation it is visually very appealing, with stunning shots of both the sky and land. In typical otome fashion, the story seems to revolve around two girls with a cast of plenty of guys to ship them with.

The second update I’ll be adding is Amnesia. Also based on the otome game, the story revolves around a girl who wakes up with no memories and has to try to figure out her past along with her new magical, floating friend. The entire show is very colorful, although I personally found it a bit slow for my taste.

I just saw Beauty and the Beast

Guys, seriously, don’t listen to the negative discourse surrounding. The majority of it (and when I say majority I mean 99.99% of it) is unfounded. It’s one of the most visually stunning movies I’ve ever seen. The clothes were pretty accurate for the time period, and the music was AMAZING. The ballroom scene was so stunning and beautiful with the set and the clothes and the music and effects that I started sobbing. Also I got some serious Feysand feels and wow did that make my crying worse. The whole thing was just amazing. There’s a song that the Beast sings called Evermore and it just reminds me so much of Rhys and I really wanted to punch Gaston because I was thinking of Tam the Tool the whole time……anyway. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. GO WATCH IT. IT’S AMAZING. DON’T WORRY ANOUT THE DRESS, IT ACTUALLY LOOKS AMAZING ONCE SHE STARTS DANCING.

ANIME CHALLENGE

16- ANIME WITH THE BEST ANIMATION

So I’m not including movies for this one. I feel like it would almost be unfair to. So, removing films like Redline, Sword of the Stranger, and Spirited Away, I’d have to say that the way I see it, the most well animated series is the 2006 OVA series

Hellsing Ultimate

I mean

Seriously though, Hellsing Ultimate is goddamn beautiful and well worth the watch if only for the visuals alone.

one thing I like about Free! is the rookie isn't the main character. In most shonen sport series, the MC is always a near total beginner. In Free! Haru and Rin both started competitive swimming very young and they were on track for Uni scholarship until they hit some mental block. I think their struggles and progress are more believable than a rookie who leapfrogged everyone in 1 year. Rei is the rookie, but he's always the weakest in the team, so it's very realistic. (1/2)

Y/OI is somewhat similar, the MC is seasoned sportsman, but he has a mental block. It’s very disappointing and embarrassing his mental block is just an excuse to have Victor tell Yuuri K. he’s sexy. YOI now makes Free! feel underrated, I think KyoAni did a better job at making swimming visually exciting and beautiful to watch than YOI did with figure skating (2/2)

That’s so true, it is a major difference from other sport manga serialised in a shonen magazine. I wish we have fewer rookie MC too, I rarely like them even when I’m supposed to share their perspectives and learn about a new sport through their eyes.

When I watched Free! I always got excited when they get to the part where the swimmers touch the wall of the pool underwater and turn, the animation is especially well done, the body movement, the rhythm are so spot on, you could almost feel the power of the swimmers’ push and the water resistance.

YOI’s skating scenes aren’t half as good as watching real life figure skating.
