i just wanted to use pretty colors

i just want to choose something small every day to fall in love with. how often do i really just like… study the heck out of a sunbeam. learn a new word and find out how to use it, teach it to others. watch birds because birds are nice. find a new favorite color. to find out something about each person in my life to compliment them on that’s genuine and better than “you’re pretty,” i mean realizing they always get water for other people before they sit down at lunch or how neat their notes are or how they always have a good pun. i want to listen harder and talk a little less and say more important stuff. and i want to watch out for stuff to just obsess over like a cool cloud or a tree and just. learn stuff from people. ask more questions about how her hair is so silky and just. fall in love with everybody.

it’s not the most recent (from february 2017) but here’s some iwaoi!

i simply wanted to draw soft iwaoi and use a bunch of pretty colors, because i’m still a softie and also very weak

anonymous asked:

hey if you get the free time (if you haven't done it before) is there absolutely any way you could do a tutorial on the way you draw grass?

yea sure !! i’ll show u guys the simple way i do grass for our pmvs and stuff. i usually don’t worry too much about it being super detailed bc its only there for a few seconds, and this is a pretty quick method that only takes me like 5min or so to do bgs

this is the brush i use. i downloaded it from some pack on dA, its basically just a skinny chalk brush. i like the way it feels when i scribble with it

i usually pick 4 shades of a color for my grass. depending on what kinda tone i want i make my darker colors bluer, redder, or purpler etc than my base

base -> slightly darker -> darker -> darkest

bg is a gradient on my base layer, then i just paint a quick grass layer with my base color. try to avoid doing a straight line bc forests are rarely flat

then i take my next color and just kinda scribble haha. i layer on all my colors this way, just scribbling on top of each other. i use the color picker to slightly blend them a bit but i don’t blend that much

i try to vary my brush size a lot, sometimes using big stokes or tiny scribbles. usually the darker my color gets the smaller my brush will be

then i add some grass details. just some scribbly stalks and stuff

add some trees and shrubs with the lasso tool and blur them and bada bing bada boom ur done. you can add some rocks + shrubs and plants to make it more interesting

Hi, Vetyr! You mentioned that you work on 4000 x 4000 canvas. I wonder how long does it take you to finish a painting on average. Do you actually spend lots of time polishing the soft/hard edges? They seem to be so effortless. ;_; another question is how do you achieve such smooth transition? Does it have anything to do with pressure or flow setting of the brush?

It usually takes about 2.5-4 hours, and yeah I definitely spend a lot of time getting the edges just the way I want them.  Every so often, I’ll touch up areas with a soft brush, but much of the time I can get a pretty smooth transition between values/colors with a hard round brush w/ transfer enabled and set to ‘pen pressure’ (I don’t use flow), and excessive use of the eyedropper tool.  Also, a note for the gif below (which is running at 3x speed): when I’m blending colors and I don’t want the gradient to be muddy, I add a saturated color- in this case, pink- to the mix to keep it vibrant.

Summary: Five snapshots of Jughead’s and Betty’s life when Jughead had nowhere to stay and Betty was hiding him in her room.

(Okay, I know this is long; I know. But seriously I can’t help the fact that I want to fill entire books with how adorably cute those two are! <3 So grab your snacks and drinks and dive in hahaha! Also I’m sorry if there are any typos, it’s really late and I’m way tired to notice my mistakes. I hope you all like it guys!!!)

Two days had passed since the night Betty Cooper had stormed inside the Blue & Gold office like a wild force of nature, catching Jughead on the act as well as learning about his secret of not having a place of his own anymore, and coexisting under the same roof was going smoothly for the two friends. Every morning they would wake up way earlier than most people in their town, and especially than Betty’s parents, and Jughead, although not being a morning person, would sneak out with a grateful smile plastered on his lips and hands full with every new snack Betty seemed to always prepare for him, and every night she would sneak him back in once she knew her parents were retired to their bedroom for the night. Their system seemed to be flawless.

Today was a low-key Wednesday night and the first time they had the house entirely to themselves, since the Coopers had yet another late night at the newspaper, the two teens finally enjoying some peace and quiet without closed doors and hush whispers. Betty was sprawled over the bed, text books and colorful markers all around her as the blonde girl was trying to finish her homework, elbow holding herself up and chin resting on her palm, head aching over an answer sheet and calves crossing and uncrossing behind her. Jughead was over the window with blinds shut – he had made Betty promise that his secret would stay between them – sitting comfortably on her white desk chair and having his long legs crossed at the ankles, outstretched against the wooden window frame, while typing furiously on his laptop that rested on his lap. Since no one was at home he didn’t have to lurk at his usual booth at Pop’s. Plus, he found Betty’s presence a very good remedy for writer’s block.

So, I’ve been getting recently tons of questions regarding my notes, and today I decided to make a post about it. If you find it useful make sure to reblog it!

First of all lets talk about supplies.

Should you invest or stick to your regular supplies?

We’re all different and we all have different needs and economy. In my case, I love stationery but my economy right now isn’t that high to buy all of the cute stationery in the world. I’m always trying to find dupes, or products that work similar to expensive ones (i’m also guilty of doing this with makeup oops). Here goes a list of the essentials I keep on my pencil pouch.

  • Pens in different colors - I like to give a color to every single element on my notes. Kinda like a color scheme. Blue = definitions , Black = general content. My favorite pens are the Pilot G2 Gel pens, they’re just a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
  • Fineliners - Fineliners are by far, one of my must haves. I used to use papermate color pens, but when I bought my first pack of Stabilo’s, It was love at first sight. The two most popular brands are Stabilo and Staedtler. Both of them have their pros and cons, so here i’ll leave you a video of a battle between them. I’ve never tried the Staedtler ones, so I wouldn’t know if they’re better or not. They’re really useful for mind maps, subtitles, decorating, titles, etc. You should totally save some money and buy ones!
  • Mechanical pencils - I stopped using regular pencils because sharpening them was just pissing me off. My favorite ones are by papermate.
  • Markers - this ones to me are pretty optional, but I decided to go for some Crayola ones to make some tabs or titles. I would say they’re useful, but only if you feel like buying them.
  • Highlighters - There are thousands of types, and thousands of brands. But it’s all about your needs. If the reason you want highlighters is to highlight on books, I would really recommend Sharpies and Stabilos. I have both of them, they work pretty well. And here we go with one of the most popular products around tumblr: mildliners. I have to admit it:  they’re beautiful. They come in different colors and they’re just gorgeous! The only problem to me is the price. They don’t sell mildliners here in my country, so I have to order them from Amazon, and it’s just really expensive. Are they worth it? To me, yes. But if you don’t want to spend that much money on highlighters, you can also try the Pilot Frixion Light ones. Anyways, here’s a video comparing many of these popular brands.

Now that you have your stationery set and ready, is time to get started with the hardest part : taking notes. One thing you need to know is, I take many of my notes in class time, which means I have to come up with a plan and a color scheme in a matter of seconds to get started when the teacher starts giving class.

My note taking process:

  1. Set a color scheme - You can make it all pink, all blue, all warm colors, all violets, etc. I always try to alternate and use a different color for every topic, so you should try it out.
  2. Different fonts - I use cursive for subtitles and my normal handwriting for the rest of the text. I always get asked: What did you do to get such a neat handwriting? My answer is: practice. I used to have a really horrible handwriting when I started high school, but once I discovered studyblrs, I began to copy some of the handwriting on pictures. I came up with my own font and i’m really happy with it! So dont be afraid to copy some handwriting you like, in the end you can always add your style to it.
  3. Organize your information - Many times teachers ask you to make mind maps, diagrams, charts, etc. Choose the one that fits your information. I’m a huge fan of diagrams, but I also like to use charts a lot. Its all about your personal opinion. Most of the times teachers give me paper sheets with al the information on them, so the next thing I do is to highlight definitions. Once I’m done with definitions, I start highlighting with a different color the rest of the text.
  4. Start writing - This is my last step, and its pretty simple. Once I have all of my information sorted and organized, I can get writing! I spend a lot of time doing it so I really commend you to find a good and relaxing playlist to have fun while doing it and a bottle of water.

I hope you found this post useful! Love, Dani.

anonymous asked:

what kinds of plants do u use for ur ball python enclosure? im thinking of converting to bioactive

This got pretty long, so I apologize if you were looking for a quick list lol but I am very enthusiastic about plant choices. I hope this helps!

Pothos!

Probably at least 50% of the plants in both of my tanks are pothos. It’s incredibly easy to grow and very hard to kill (whether by living conditions or a heavy animal climbing all over it - it can usually take it). Once it gets going, you’ll have so much green in there. I love it. There’s also several color varieties so you don’t have to stick with just the green kind if you want more interesting colors: satin pothos is my absolute favorite. Marble queen (I think) is also another pretty one.

I also have:

  • croton - beautiful plant with colorful leaves, but it gets pretty big so there has to be space for it. However, there are several kinds of croton, including small ones with different shaped leaves, that work as well. I’m not sure what the exact croton I use is called, but I think a lot of stores like walmart and lowes where i shop for plants consider it a sort of “generic” croton
  • maranta - another one that grows very quickly, and it’s beautiful, but more picky on growing conditions than pothos. My best growing maranta is on the cool/humid side under the light
  • creeping fig - this one grows pretty quickly, and looks nice. it’s small and a little more delicate while it’s acclimating. If you introduce it before the animal is in, it should be okay. If it is added later, pay it special attention daily to make sure it can acclimate.
  • rainbow spike moss - this is one of my favorites, but i’ve found it to be quite challenging to establish. I have some growing pretty well in one tank right now (and a few growing outside my vivs just for fun), but i’ve made several attempts inside the tanks before which have all ended with a dead plant. They’re very picky. The one I have in the viv right now is planted right next to the maranta, in the cool/humid side.
  • bonsai tree - i have one i picked up from walmart. i’m not sure what kind it is, but i really like having it in there

A few others I don’t have right now but that I’d still recommend:

  • fittonia (nerve plant)
  • polka dot plant
  • snake plant
  • spider plant
  • pilea, begonia, and/or bromeliads

I really love browsing for plants whenever I can, and if you get the chance to check out local stores with nurseries, you’ll find plenty that aren’t on this list. There are so many. The things you want to look for when considering a plant are it’s temperature, water, and light needs, as well as if it can survive a large snake sitting on top of it. Soil needs are also a factor: specific pH requirements can affect whether the plant will thrive in your substrate or not.

As well, you’ll want to clean every plant you get, to make sure you aren’t bringing in outside contaminants that could harm your snake or other plants. Things like pests and fertilizers. It’s called plant processing, and is pretty easy and doesn’t usually take very long. You’ll also want to make sure the plant is safe for your reptile! This is my favorite list to check when looking at a new plant. It is extensive and lists the BAD plants, but also why they are bad (for instance, is it bad only if eaten, or is it bad for them to touch? etc)

If you have any other questions about this or anything else about bio, please feel free to ask! I am very happy to offer what help I can. And this goes for anyone: You can ask on anon, or if you want a private conversation, I won’t publish any asks if you don’t want them published. And I’m just as comfortable talking on the IM. Whichever makes you most comfortable I am fine with. I just want to put that out there so you don’t feel like you *have* to stay on anon if you don’t want to.

Anyway, hope this helped, and good luck if you choose to go through with bioactive!

Bath Potions

I just wanted to make a simpler post on how to make shower gel spells. They look really pretty and are fun to make and practical cause you can use them any time. Here is a few pictures of mine. (another)

I make these spells to either:

  • Evoke a feeling, put me in a mental state (state of calm, state of clarity, state of alertness to wake up)
  • Attract Something (friends, money, good energy)
  • Banish Something (sheilding, etc)

There’s a lot of other intentions you could do but those tend to be my top 3.

They also look like cute colorful potions and make the bathroom feel more magical.. Aside from the brass cauldron full of drying bath mixes and glitter and powder and strange shit everywhere.

You will need

  1. A bottle of your choice! Glass is the best because it doesn’t leak into the formula and you can reuse it. Squeezy plastic bottles are ok too but glass is preferred. You can get the cool potion-looking bottles at Michaels, AC Moore, Goodwill, wherever. They usually cost $1 each. (Usually $1.50 if they are large).
If you do buy a glass bottle they have a lot of different shapes and sizes. I use square shapes for protection or stability, round for different mental states or energy, hearts for self love, compassion or attracting love or social interactions, I mean there are many shapes so keep in mind what type of bottle you would like for what spell. If you don’t want to get that complicated then just get the most plain glass bottle possible lol.

  2.  Scentless gel soap. You can get pure liquid castille soap at a few stores, many people love this. I just get a $4 whole foods scentless shower gel brand that works nicely. They used to have this amazing shower gel that was so soft and wonderful at whole foods and I can no longer find it, but it’s called Shikai and it makes your skin feel like angels rubbed themselves on it. I have no idea why I can’t find it anymore.

  3.  (Optional) Oils for the skin. Some oils has its own magical properties but adding argan oil, coconut oil, aloe (not oil, but good for the skin) or olive oil in small teaspoons can help to moisturize the skin or give it a nice glow. Coconut oil is fun cause it separates and leaves a cool milky layer on top and when you shake it the solution is thick and creamy.

  4. Essential oils, fragrance oils, your favorite perfume, flower water, for fragrance. Anything that will help to evoke the feeling or magic you would want. This is a very basic instruction post so its very open ended. Just ingredients for the fragrance.

  5. Ingredients to help further evoke this magic:  dried herbs, petals, rain water, snow water, crushed ice, decorative glass pearls, seashells, citrus peels, seeds, your breath, eyelashes, black sand, colorful sand, charcoal (great for protection and extracting crap from the skin), home made flower or herb extracts and oils, (great seasonal activity to make fragrance oils from collected flowers and herbs outside), etc. You understand the point. Things that you collect in your craft that’s safe to go on skin and has magical properties. For things like crystals that don’t do well in these types of solutions, use them to charge your solution afterwards by placing them around or on top of the cork.

  6. Optional: Things to give it some presentation such as food coloring, mica powder, glitter (some I have stars or heart shaped glitter in it, its cute and the glitter is too heavy so it rinses off of me).

  7. Your Intent (of course!) When you have all your ingredients gathered in your bottle, they will naturally be separated since oils and shower gel have different weights and textures. When you shake it together fusing them for the first time, make sure your intent is strong, Maybe meditate or take time to focus your energy before doing this!

You can use these things when you need them daily in the shower (High five to those super busy or low energy witches who don’t have the time or energy to do magic everyday!) Usually this can last up to two weeks or if you have multiple, it can last for months so you can feel magical daily by just taking a quick shower with this, plus its way easier than making a bath and using bath salt mixtures (-also to add, I understand sometimes people with low energy have trouble even getting into a shower but when I was in a rush sometimes I would just wash my hands with a solution and feel great).
If you have more time you can pour the whole bottle into a bubble bath! So it works as something for the shower and for a bath! Adding baking soda makes a SUPER foamy fizzing bath. So if you ever need a magical bubble bath you got a cute potion bottle sitting ready to go. They are easy and once you get the hang of making them it becomes really fun too!

  • I have made rejuvenation/calming potions with mint leaves and rain water (colored it a soft green, added light green pearl dust powder)
  • potions to evoke a clear mind with eucalyptus, rain water and sandalwood
  • potions for confidence with honeysuckle, gold glitter, and amber (colored it a deep blue for the throat energy to communicate well).
  • potions for social attractiveness and attracting good vibes with cherry blossom home made oil and pink heart glitter and sugar fragrance

And then its fun to give them names and write down the recipes in your grimoire (which I have been neglecting to do), usually when I don’t have a name I just call them by what they do like Rejuvination I, Confidence, Clarity, and when I do have a name usually based on how they look and smell I named one Sunburst and the cherry Blossom one Sugar Blossom cause it smells like spring flowers and baked sweets.

I’ve gotten some compliments from this too. Like I have used shower gels to attract friendships or social interactions and people would notice there is an alluring smell and ask about it then I would be like: OH DID YOU MEAN ME?!?! Cause you know, I love it when I smell good ;)  (Also I am a Libra attention seeking ho in social situations)

Anyway I hope this helps. Shoot me questions if you need them to be answered!

As much as Stiles loves being in the most corrupted part of the FBI, running with werewolves, and the secrets he has to tell his dad, no other emotion can rival with his hatred for Agent fucking Hale. With his horrible whatever color his eyes are and shitty Adonis face. And why does he look like he was crafted out of marble? Shit uh wait no come back I got this.

Alright fine. As pretty as Agent Hale is, he does not wish to be married to the guy. But his boss says ‘hahahah no pretend to be in love with him because hunters and witches and stuff’ yeah yeah whatever Deaton you just want us to stop fighting in the break room over the last donut hole.

Stiles Stilinski does not want to be fake married Derek Hale but nobody listens.

Not even his new husband.

FBI Agent Derek Hale is one of the good guys. He takes his suppressants and plays the part of a decent human being with remarkable accuracy. But when he’s sent in to interrogate Stiles Stilinski, alleged serial killer, it looks like the pack’s come back to haunt him.

Derek didn’t do field work. He refused. God knew the last time he left the office, it didn’t go so well. He’s perfectly content to just sit in his lab, help out from afar, and keep to himself.

If the kid who kept breaking all the rules would stop confusing him, things might have been OK. You know, with the kid he’s turned who he can’t stop worrying about, the damaged splinters of family he has left, and the Uncle he doesn’t trust looming over Stiles’ shoulder.

To protect a love (jar spell)

I haven’t posted my own spells on the tumblr dot com yet, so, here goes. I think I might add one every full moon but I’m pretty forgetful so don’t hold me to it (or do, if you really enjoy it). I know this moon has nothing to do with love or whatever else but 1) I do what I want and 2) this has been one of my top five favorite personal spells for a few years now, I “renew” it every time my SO and I are going through a tough time. Right now there’s a lot of physical distance between us and I want to make sure he knows I love his stupid face even if we can’t be near each other. On to the goods…

Stuffs:

intent and the ability to visualize (pretty important for me, maybe not for you)

red candle

jar

shell dust

sugar

Himalayan pink salt

cinnamon chips

picture of loved one

rose quartz chips (not necessary, it’s just our combined fav stone)

shell chips

a kiss (yours)

To start, always ground/center yourself. Focus on what you want this spell to accomplish. Light your candle (mine was red but white or pink or whatever color you find “lovey” works just the same), I had a picture of my boy propped up with the candle sitting below it. Now’s the fun part, layering your jar. I did mine exactly how the ingredients are listed up to the kiss but feel free to layer it however you’d like, maybe add some of those little conversation hearts, I don’t know, dude. It’s your spell. After you get your jar filled, you can finish and blow out the candle and seal the jar with a kiss and some wax, or you can say some words. Again, whatever works for you. Because I was a secret-witch for some years, I feel uncomfortable speaking during a spell, so a lot of my spells need a butt-load of visualization.

My personal process: I start by visualizing the way my boy feels about me, what I think his love for me looks like, and I picture my own love for him. I imagine what it all feels like, all that ooey gooey stuff, and I ball it up tight into a giant pearl, and close it up in a proportionately giant clam shell. After it’s closed, I check the seal just to make sure there are no cracks or anything. (That’s not necessary since I don’t purposefully imagine cracks in the shell but there have been times where I let unresolved issues fester, and the shell just looks weak to me. It’s a sign, for me, that I need to stop and actually talk to him before I start over with the spell.) I end it all by blowing out the candle and sending him an “I love you” text or calling him to hear his voice. Then I seal the jar with a kiss followed by the wax from the candle.

This spell isn’t a “fixed” thing. Change it up, do it for your grandma, customize it, substitute a picture for a thread of their fav sweater, omit stuff, add things that mean something to you. Do what’s right for your love. In fact, let me know how this spell goes for you, I’d love to hear your take on it!

Happy full moon, dearies :))

Pages from my Moleskine 2017 Bullet Journal: Finally got around to starting my bullet journal for the upcoming year and I have to say, this is probably by far my most favorite starting page that I’ve ever made. I’m still getting the hang of using brush pens but I’m extremely satisfied with how it looks in here.

For those trying to figure out how they want their journal to look or just want some inspo: here’s a few designing tips for you guys

  • Have a color scheme: For the most part I’m probably gonna stay along the lines of blue and rose gold (love me some rose gold always) but you can always go to websites and search for pretty color schemes to use
  • Tumblr is one of the hugest databases and has so many beautiful inspirational quotes and pictures. Take advantage of them!! Print them out, stick some tape, and smack it into your journal.
  • Put some memories in there: receipts, movie tickets, polaroids, little notes from friends, anything that will make you smile.
  • Washi tape. Enough said.

Finally, I’m probably going to start a bullet journal series for this upcoming year so that you guys can see how I set up my journal and what layout it has. I’ll be tagging them with #myplanner. I hope you enjoy!!

How do you get the softer colors? I've been trying to get the pastel look, but my colors keep coming out harsh af, BUT I LOVE YOUR SOFT COLORS SO MUCH I WANT THEM *cries*

i cut down on saturation and have eliminated the color black from my palettes completely. like, for instance:

the one on the left still has blocked in color, but feels like it has an aura. that’s beause i kept a soft yellow background that compliments the rest of it, and it all blends in to be one piece a bit better. something can look detailed while still being pretty simple.

the one on the right is the same exact piece, just how i used to color. the black stays in and the vibrance almost makes it too busy for this particular image. i’ll use one of my favorite pieces that’s 3 years old to use as an example of how this can change a piece:

with a couple of color adjustments, the piece is suddenly softer and more immersive. i was heavily reliant on over-saturated colors at that time, but not using them makes it so when you incorporate them into a piece, they stand out and make something really eye-catching and a lot depthier and pleasant to look at

I’ve noticed that most “big” artists use online programs to do their work, is it widely accepted that physical art doesn’t look as good or something? Do all artists eventually ‘have’ to do it online?

in no way does physical art not look as good–i remember when eastern artists were starting to make the switch from traditional to digital. the reason? speed and massive convenience. you don’t take up as much room, you don’t use as many supplies, you literally have an endless canvas that can be used as an opportunity. instead of being surrounded by, and ultimately wasting, tons of paper on drafts and rough sketches for pieces, or having to scrap something because a pen exploded halfway through, digital art has saved so many artists so much time and so many resources.

the reason i use digital is because i could no longer afford traditional. i was a painter, but good lord, painting takes up so much damn room. and transferring skill from the mediums is relative. i was able to take what i learned then and applied it to digital. but what a lot of artists don’t show you is that no one ever scraps traditional mediums altogether, because that’s where everyone starts. many still use sketches that they scan and upload to then do digital lines/color/paint/etc

in no way do artists have to eventually do it online. in the industry, it will be increasingly difficult to get work though, because for the sake of convenience almost everyone has switched to digital. that doesn’t mean it’s out of the range of possibility, though, and you can certainly be an independent artist with physical pieces, too.

What are your: Personal top 4–6 Padmé costumes; Favorite 4–6 non-Padmé costumes; Favorite SW film plot-wise; Favorite SW film music-wise, if you have one; Favorite 1–3 SW spaceships, if you have any; Favorite behind the scenes goofs, gifs, or anecdotes?

I’ve been wondering when I would get asked what my favorite costumes are!

Top 5 favorite Padme costumes, in no particular order:

-The Yellow Picnic Dress (AotC)

This dress changed my opinion on an entire color. I used to hate yellow. Like really hate yellow. Bet then I saw and studied this dress and it is so beyond beautiful to me. It’s so flowy and feminine and colorful. Also her hair! My favorite hairstyles for Padme are always the curled ones, and plus, she has the side buns which are a little shout out to Leia’s buns. Not to mention I love that entire scene in and of itself because they are in a natural setting of a field of grass and flowers, so different from cold and colorless space, and it’s one of the few time Anakin and Padme are truly and genuinely happy. It’s before the war, it’s before Shim dies, it’s just a happy little moment between them, and the yellow summer dress really evokes that.

-The Blue Tatooine Dress (AotC)

(Or as I like to call it: The Desert Goddess Dress) It’s just really pretty? I like the color and the silver details. I love her hair since it’s also curled and has slight buns on the sides. I love the cape but I’m not a big fan of the cloak that goes over the whole outfit. But I really find it funny that she chose a dress that shows her mid-drift while visiting Anakin’s family (she did the same thing visiting her own family how iconic.)

-The Blue Gloved Nightgown (RotS)

Honestly I love all of Padme’s nightgowns but if I had to choose between them this is my favorite. I like the color, I like her hair, I love the fact that she sleeps in a tiara. Despite the long gloves, it’s a bit more practical than the pearl embellished blue nightgown from previously in the film. It has seashells on it, though you can’t tell unless seeing High Quality stills of the dress. Also it’s worn during a very emotional scene and is one of the last costumes that she wears, so it has an added importance.

-The Parade Dress (TPM)

Honestly the only one of her outfits as a Queen that I like. Her other Queen outfits are too dark and over-the-top for my taste. I mean I get why they’re dark and over-the-top, but they just don’t appeal to me personally. But I really like the one she wears at the end of the film. I love the white dress and pastel pink and yellow of the cloak. I like how it’s somewhat of a slight callback to Leia’s dress during the ceremony at the end of ANH. (In case you can’t tell, I Absolutely love parallels between Leia and Padme’s wardrobes.)

-The Funeral Dress (RotS)

I love this dress so much. I love the colors, I love her hair, I love the flowers, it’s all just so pretty and regal but also very sad. So many sequins! Trisha Bigger (the designer of most of the costumes) said it was supposed to resemble the lakes and waterfalls of Naboo, and Natalie Portman said it reminded her of Ophelia from Hamlet, and I think they’re both absolutely right. And she’s just so beautiful like absolutely the angel that Anakin thought she was. Even in death, Padme is more beautiful than any of us will ever be. No lie, I want to be buried in something like that.

-Honorable Mention – White Geonosis Outfit (AotC)

One of her more practical costumes (except for the fact that it’s white (I mean really you shouldn’t wear white into battle) (of course the costume department said they made it white so that it would stand out in the red/orange sand) (still, white will get so dirty during a battle) whatever, I digress.) This costume has by far the most amount of screen time than any of her others. I really like the cloak and silver armbands too. It’s also a bit similar to Leia’s Hoth outfit. I actually thought about cosplaying this one but I have no idea how to do that freaking hair.

Top 5 non-Padme costumes, in no particular order:

-Princess Leia’s Hoth/Bespin outfit (ESB)

Like it’s literally just a white jumpsuit but Carrie Fisher made that thing look so regal and badass. I don’t have much to say about it, I just like it a lot?

-Princess Leia’s Ceremony Dress (ANH)

Yeah it’s a plain white dress but it’s prettier and more feminine than the other plain white dress. I love the cape effect of the sleeves even though it’s not actually a cape. I also really like the necklace and hair. I’ve considered cosplaying this one too.

-Luke’s Dagobah Costume (ESB)

I like that it shows his biceps. It’s also dirty and kind of grungy, which you wouldn’t think of as a good Look for Luke but damn does he make it work.

-Lando’s Blue Outfit (ESB)

The lining of his cape is literally embroidered with dragons. Iconic.

-Luke’s Ceremony Outfit (ANH)

I love that it’s so obvious that Luke is wearing Han’s clothes here. Because we all know Luke didn’t pack much when he left Tatooine, so he didn’t have a lot in the way of fashionable clothes. But Han helped him out and donated an outfit. Except for the canary yellow jacket. That was not Han’s and no one has any idea where Luke got it from.

-Honorable Mention – Princess Leia’s Bespin Gown (ESB)

The first time Leia wears color! (even if it is an unfortunate shade of red.) I like the shape and texture of the cape/cloak and that is has a vague floral pattern on it. I really like her hair too. Too bad it doesn’t have much screen time.

Favorite SW film plot wise?

-Lol I don’t watch Star Wars for the plot. But seriously, I think they all have unique and interesting plots (except for TFA)

Favorite SW film music wise?

-They all have fantastic music but I have to say Rogue One had very unique music compared to the others. I guess because it wasn’t John Williams, which I love John Williams! But I really enjoyed the soundtrack for RO.

Favorite spaceships?

-Nubian Ships (Prequels)

(Pictured: J-type 327 Nubian Royal starship) They’re just so shiny and remind me of mirrors. Fun fact: Captain Phasma’s armor is made from the melted down hull of one of Palpatine’s Naboo ships.

-Kylo Ren’s shuttle (TFA)

It’s pretty simple but very intimidating. I love the long V-shape wings, they kind of remind me of a bird of prey.

Favorite behind the scenes stuff?

-So many of the actors make their own sound effects with the lightsabers and blasters.

-Carrie making Mark wear her Leia costumes. (I wonder if she ever got him to wear the gold bikini…)

-All the many times that you can see Hayden Christensen fall down in bts videos. It really supports my head canon that Anakin has bad balance because of the prosthetic arm.

Wow this was a loaded ask. I hope I answered everything to satisfaction!

Liquid Dirt

By sheer coincidence of me not wanting to waste anything I made a spray that smells just like potting soil/mulch! And I love it! It’s such a deep earthy scent and it’s great! Seriously I wish you guys could smell this! If you love the smell of dirt like me you will love this spray.

I mostly use it for cleansing my room, namely my bed, (and just as a nice scent), but all the ingredients are also good for protection and healing so you can use it for that too. And its ultra simple, with only three ingredients, and pretty cheap!

Ingredents:

-peppermint tea*

- tea tree oil

- rose water**

*i let this steep until the water was cool so a really really long time because I was just going to use it for a spray also its not pickle juice I promise I just reuse pickle jars after cleaning them!

**this rose water was the water that was actually boiling my rose petals not the distilled water you can catch (hence the color), i just wanted to find a use for it aside from just adding it to my garden so I kept it.

Making:

-I just used a 16 oz spray bottle I have and filled it with about 2-3 oz of the rose water, filled up the rest with the peppermint tea, and added 4-5 drops of the tea tree oil. I eyeballed these but its about a 1:5 rose water to peppermint tea ratio with 1 drop tea tree for every 4 oz.

-Shake and spray! Seriously that’s it!

-Pair it with any sigils you have (I have a cleansing sigil on the bottom of my bottle) and any crystals(tho i cant recommend spraying the crystals or keeping them in the water, just next to, or a pendant wrapped around the bottle is recommended)

happy crafting!

MS4′s study guide

Hey! I’ve received a few messages from you, guys, asking how do I study for internal medicine, what are my ways of memorizing & learning about new conditions, etc. So here is my answer! I decided to write a small guide, or rather a quick description of my usual study process when it comes to internal medicine, but not only. :)

1. Organize your day.

First thing I always do is a plan for an upcoming day. I try to think of everything I need to do before and after studying in order to rate how much time I’ll have for my study session. I try to find out which part of day will be the most comfortable for me to focus and study.

Secondly I check how much material I need to go through & how much time do I have for every portion. It helps me choose the most efficient way of studying - sometimes I need to be quick and can’t let myself focus on every detail and sometimes I have enough of time to be solid, take some good notes and memorize everything I need to.

2. Organize your study space, desk, materials.

Usually I study at home so I take care of everything before I finally sit down to actual work. It reduces the amount of potential distractions.

3. How do I study?

I start with reading the chosen part of material. I usually use a highlighter and mark or color code the most important info. It helps me focus on the text and understand it better. Usually it’s enough for me but sometimes I feel a need to take notes. I just do it quick, I want my notes to be condensed and useful for all those last minute revisions.

When I don’t use a book or paper materials and need to work with a computer, I naturally have to skip the highlighting part and gotta deal with my lack of focus in some other way. To help myself in such situation I take notes. I don’t care about making them pretty or colorful but rather as functional as possible. I usually use a notebook with blank pages (I just like it this way, it makes my notetaking quicker) and a pen. Such a small and simple set up reduces the time I tend to waste on creating aesthetic and goodlooking notes.

(If I could give everyone just one practical tip it would probably be this one: Note taking is just a tool that needs to help you learn! Not waste your time and energy. Keep your notes condensed, clear and actually useful.)

After I’m done with my notes and still have some time I repeat everything once or few times again.

4. What about internal medicine?

As some of you know it includes a lot of studying, many conditions, cases, more cases, even more details and so on. How do I deal with it?

Well, I usually start with reading the whole topic. For example a part about conditions of the liver. It helps me create a basic vision of what I’ll be studying about, notice a pattern, similarities and differences. Then I go back to every condition and read about it again. At this point I already try to memorize as much as I can. Then I move to comparisons - do some of those conditions have any similiar symptoms? Do they have any similarities in pathogenesis? How do they progress? Is the treatment the same or different? Noticing how do some condtitions differ from eachothers is really helpful! Not only in making the diagnosis certain but also in the process of learning itself - the more details and differences you’ll notice the more you’ll learn.

Creating such basis is crucial before working on cases, in my opinion. Without any information it will be sensless to try to figure out what’s the matter with the involved patient. But if you’ll be able to use theoretical informations, working on cases will be really valuable. It will surely point your lacks out.

So that’s it! This is how I deal with clinical subjects that are basically my everyday reality on 4th year of a medical university. Naturally I sometimes need to change this scheme a bit, but this is what works for me the best, I guess.

Hope I answered your questions & that I could help! Let me know if you have any more requests. :)

Anti Waves

I don’t know what this is. I wanted to make something Anti related but was too lazy to go find some new resources to edit with so I just used some of the stock images supplied by the website and made something. The colors are pretty good though. It’s very bright for an Anti edit.
