i just hope it gets a second season

Me in 2006: man I hope ouran high school host club gets a second season

Me in 2016: man I hope ouran high school host club gets a second season

the bold type ended it’s first season SPECIFICALLY on a note of hope and support for victims of sexual assault when it could’ve just been about the show itself

the true heart and soul of the bold type is not just creating another fun and relevant tv show, it’s about looking the world in the eye and essentially saying “we see you, we hear you, and you’re not alone” no matter the circumstance. it is 100% the most uplifting show on television right now and if it doesn’t get a second season i will choke freeform singlehandedly

Yuri!!! On Ice Season 2 - Possible Release Date Being Announced This Weekend

For those of you who don’t know, this weekend Mitsurou Kubo, aka creator of Yuri!!! On Ice, and the directors, artists and voice actors of the show will be hosting an event known as Yuri!!! On Stage. Usually at events these kinds of events, big information is revealed, and that could mean we could be getting some information of the highly anticipated season 2.

Season 2 is already in the works, as animators have already begun working. News has revealed that Kubo should have the script for the next season before the end of this year. Staff members have also been making trips around the world, visiting St. Petersburg and Moscow on more than one occasion. So, this can confirm that season 2 will be taking place in Russia, with Yuuri training with Viktor for the upcoming FS season. (where season 1 left off)

Will we get a trailer this weekend? Who knows if we will. Fans who have been following the writers and staff of the show are highly anticipating one. And the staff is very aware of how badly the fans want their second season. Director Yamamoto stated in an interview that she has plenty of ideas that she wants to put into the next installment, and she came up with these brilliant ideas when she was editing episode 10 of season 1. (When Yuuri and Viktor exchanged rings).

This may hint to something happening between Viktor and Yuuri (wedding), but then again, I’m just assuming things and jumping straight to conclusions. Will we get a wedding in the second season? Again, it is unclear as to right now, but I would keep it in mind. (I sure hope we get it, tbh)

I will be keeping you all posted by giving you updates. If any of you have any questions, please feel free to leave one in my asks box and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

For the doom of Gunmar, Eclipse is mine to command

% finished this series. I got the impression it gets better as it goes into the second half. Really, I wish it was 40 min long per episode, so it could have some ease-in and out moments to breathe. Other than that, it is really good. Designs on characters and world are just FUN itself. I bet it must be super fun for the designers to design stuff for this project.

I hope they find someone else to replace Anton Yelchin for Jim’s voice for the second season. I would be really sad if the second season does not happen :(

also idk why people are saying the team doesnt care about keiths wellbeing or rejected him? like keith wasnt focused on voltron because he was too busy focusing on the blade of marmora. they were angry at him which is understandable, even though we know keith’s motivations, the others don’t, but they weren’t rejecting him at all. allura literally said that the team needs him and he still went away. shiro tried to keep him focused on voltron, but he didn’t want to. keith hates being the leader/the black paladin, he wasn’t happier in that position which was obvious from season 3.

keith is obviously going through something right now, but it’s not the team’s fault because keith said that he didn’t want to be a leader and (clone) shiro ignored him and his wants. he didn’t go to anyone else, and made a choice he thought would be best. during season 3 he got comfort and the team was literally upset that he was leaving but weren’t going to force him to stay because they learned that lesson in season 1 when pidge wanted to leave. the team loves him, and it’s not their fault that keith’s in a bad place mentally. they don’t know he nearly killed himself without a second thought because they were literally trying not to die at the same time. i just hope someone figures it out or keith confesses he’s struggling before it gets worse.

fun fact: i originally read Oumagadoki Zoo around the time when it first came out, about 6-7 years ago (around 2010-11)

i was still in highschool.

that was also Horikoshi’s first official weekly debut. sadly, it was canceled not long after along with his second series (Oumagadoki at 38 chapters, and Barrage at 12), but i’m so glad he’s continued on even past these failures and went on to create MHA

i always knew that dude had a lot of potential, and i’m so glad he kept going until now

the only reason it took me so long to touch MHA was because Oumagadoki and Barrage were canceled soon after they started, and i didn’t want to get my hopes up only to have them crushed again. (also, because while Oumagadoki had a lot of heart in it, Barrage felt very forced and uninteresting to me. i was worried the new series might have that same feel in it’s writing style; Horikoshi even went on to say that he didn’t enjoy writing Barrage.

thankfully, MHA has never had that feeling to it. you can tell how much Horikoshi enjoys writing it, and he puts so much heart and care in the story and the characters. you can just tell how much he loves writing MHA.)

also, as sad as i am that Oumagadoki got cancelled after only 38 chapters, i think it really helped Horikoshi hone his writing skills, because a lot of what he put into Oumagadoki has been reused in MHA. things like character designs, traits, development, and plot points that originally appeared in Oumagadoki have all been reused and reinterpreted in MHA in new and interesting ways.

the biggest i can think of are Shiina’s childlike mentality vs. Shigaraki’s (and the circumstances that lead to it), and how Shishidou started out as an aggressive character obsessed with being Number One who eventually mellowed and became more of a friend to the cast vs. Bakugou’s own similar character development.

but that’s hardly the end of it

not to mention, look at his art development.

the top pic is his first published colorspread for Oumagadoki (and his first published colorspread EVER). the bottom is for MHA that was published about a year ago. that’s only a few years difference, about maybe 4-5? maybe??

he originally started out using traditional art like most of his fellow mangaka, but he obviously had a hard time using copics and markers. but somewhere along the way, he switched to digital; he still draws the outline traditionally with an ink pen, but all the coloring is done digitally, and it has done WONDERS for his art

a comparison between Oumagadoki’s first colored chapter cover vs. one of My Hero Academia’s.

the dude has improved A LOT.

idk where this post is going, haha. Horikoshi is just a dude i’ve been following since i was about… 15-16? i’m an adult now, and i’m following his current series, which is getting so much attention and it’s so well written and it just passed it’s 100th chapter and it’s actually popular

i followed Oumagadoki Zoo week by week, hoping that it would raise a little in the rankings so it wouldn’t get canceled, only for it to end prematurely

My Hero Academia has just hit it’s 120th chapter, is about to air the second season of it’s anime, and already has a dub for the first.

i’m just really proud of Horikoshi and how far he’s come. despite failing twice, he continued on, and now he’s onto his third series and he’s doing such a good job with writing his characters and his story. people are finally appreciating his work.

and his story is unique; yes, it’s similar to what we’ve seen before, but he’s so good at manipulating and subverting common shonen tropes, and he’s telling this Hero’s Journey in a way that we’ve never seen in this genre before. the mentor doesn’t die, the mother actually has a say in her son’s life, the characters are actually punished and rewarded for their actions instead of having them brushed over, etc. the young character’s mental health is actually a THING and treated seriously.

so yeah, i’m just… really proud of Horikoshi. he’s come so far and improved so much. i wanted for so long for him to have a series that became popular, and he did. i kinda grew up with this guy and saw the potential he had, even as he failed and failed, but i had hoped, dearly hoped, that he would finally break through and get his day

and he has.

i’m just…. so proud of Horikoshi, you guys. so proud

something that’s always bothered me a bit is that despite everything, muse has always felt like the group of girls that were closer to each other

the sunshine girls are all connected in some way - yoshiko is childhood pals with hanamaru, who’s bffs with ruby, who’s the younger sister of dia, who’s childhood pals with mari and kanan, who’s friends with you and chika. riko is the only person who doesn’t know anyone else at the start of the series.

compare to muse: we have the isolated groups of honokotoumi, nico, maki, rinpana, and nozoeli. you could argue that nico seems to know nozomi, i guess, but they’re very rarely seen together.

i dunno, just - sunshine has had every opportunity to demonstrate how close people must be when living in such a small town, but they couldn’t feel further apart. chika and riko are entirely focussed towards each other, same with kanan and mari. dia loses all relevance in scenes where kanan isn’t having a moment and ruby is there, i don’t think you has more than two lines that aren’t directed at chika. the first years manage to somehow feel cohesive as a unit, but hanamaru and yoshiko have no connection to anybody else, and ruby is only connected to dia.

a big part of this, i think, actually comes from the differences between honoka and chika. for all people could criticise honoka, she was so, so pivotal. for muse, it was honoka’s pull, and a little bit of side motivation, that brought everyone together. from the beginning, everyone had a relationship with honoka and i think that’s really important? chika is arguably a better person that honoka was but she doesn’t have a connection with everyone like honoka did - chika isn’t the reason that everyone came together. in muse, everyone came together because they believed in honoka’s dream, and they found they had fun. in sunshine, they all came together because of their own personal desires to become idols. you and riko are really the only examples of “inspired by chika to believe in her dream” - but even for you this one stings a bit because chika is far too focussed on riko over aqours as a whole.

i guess neither of these motivations are particularly bad - there’s nothing wrong with joining a group because you have a personal goal you want to achieve, but the way sunshine plays with it makes it feel more like an excuse to put a group together rather than any meaningful reason. what makes sunshine so important as a group of nine? i never really had any questions like that when engaging with muse. they just - were. there was such a web of interesting interrelated people, even in the anime, where it’s so difficult to show a lot of interaction between nine characters.

maybe i’m being too critical. aqours is still very early on as a group. but i still feel like there’s a massive disconnect between the feeling i get from muse - work hard together with your friends and your dreams will be realised - and the feeling i get from sunshine - any reason for working hard is fine, achieve your dreams if you want?

i’m still trying to puzzle out how i feel about aqours. i hope the second season of the anime addresses this.

My Top 10 Anime of 2015 (in no particular order)

Rules: Are anime’s that were release and finish in 2015 and I actually watch (I can’t watch everything). They can’t be another season, sequel, or prequel, because that is another list that I am making. Also, it my opinion, so write down your thoughts on the list and not about whether or not my decision are terrible.

This was a cute short series about Haruki (the young male protagonist) and his four sisters. This anime shows a sibling relationship. This series is only 3 minutes episodes, but they have cute and funny moments that was fun for me to watch.

This anime had very interesting characters. One of the protagonist is deaf, which is something new for animation in general. Like I never see a deaf character that actually did sign in anime before (not 100% sure about this). The other characters are interesting as well as the story. My only complaint is how it ended and how it is not getting a second season, due to the company who made got bankrupted and this was there last show.. Another company could make it, but I highly doubt that.

This series is on here only due to nostalgia. This had the same mangaka as Inuyasha and Ranma ½. Since Inuyasha help me start watching anime, I kinda watch anything from Rumiko Takahashi. This series has a really cool concept that I hope gets more explored in the second season that is coming sometime in 2016. Also the character have unusual personalities.

This had a very colorful cast and an unusual story. One of my favorite things was the opening and ending to this anime, both were as colorful as the characters  (I thing the internet agree with the ending part). The setting is interesting. It is in New York, but with monsters and humans living together. The story is kind of all over the place though, but it might not bother you so much.

6. Assassination Classroom

This has a fantastic story and cast of characters. The octopus teacher that will destroy the world, unless his middle school students can kill him before the end of the year, is something that is very creative. This anime also focus on individual student or the students as a group to accomplish something. Sometimes its to kill their teacher, while other times its to help each other with problems (both school and themselves). I also can’t wait for the second season which is coming very soon 2016.

5. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime

This series is very adorable and romantic. The development of the relationship of the two main characters is real, fast, and well develop more so than other romantic anime I have seen. I hope to see this two keep growing in their relationship as well as other characters in the series. Especially since this is also getting a second season in 2016.

This was a well animated series with a great story. This anime might not be for everyone, especially those who don’t like violence and nudity. The story is quite engaging as well and funny (also stupid, but in a good way). The characters are diverse and can be very intelligent to solve a problem (sometimes stupid, but not always). I also hope it gets a second season.

3. Ore Monogatari

This is possibly my favorite romantic comedy’s of all time. Also it is not afraid to mix up the whole love story. The characters are what makes this show. The story is of course interesting, but the main character which drove me to watch the next episode each week. The main character being a teenage that looks like an adult with a gorilla like face falling in love with a cute teenage girl that love him back is just so sweet. I also hope for another season for this as well.

2. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

This had a very unique story and characters. Switch bodies with someone by a kiss is something I would not think about, but this show does this and much more in its very own way. Yamada, not only search for the witches, but also helps them with their problems. The story develop from that as well as relationships with characters.

The action and comedy in this series is one that I probably will remember for the year 2015. I hope this one gets a second season as well, but for know I will wait for the Mob Psycho 100 anime which is the same mangaka as this series.

Onward & Upward

“I think a lot of the girls had a good feeling going into this week. It’s kind of like the monkey was on our back and we’re kinda over just like… whatever. At some point you just have to get over it and stop worrying.” Christen Press.

On the road to be the best team in the league…
CRS had the greatest game since the start of the season. Everything we did on the field was amazing. Shout-out to Alyssa for the second half, she’s the best GK. Christen… she has quality in every cell of her body. Press keeps creating the smartest plays for the team. Sofi deserved that beautiful goal and Vanessa was a beast (I hope she’s ok!). Dani, Sam and JJ, also Arin, Katie, Mautz and Casey. Everything was perfect, Rory is doing a great job and I loved the starting line-up for this game. Small steps 👊🏾.

Maril's quote about staying in the scene, giving it time to breathe is great for 306. But it also is revealing about the mindset of production that is problematic. The norm for them is ADHD, move from scene to scene, action, action, action. They don't get how much readers love the 1-1 J/C times -- yes the romantic ones but also ones where they are just talking and rediscovering why each is so unique and why they love one another. Smart, insightful. Hope they'll prove this wrong in 2H of S3.

Exactly. This show has never let Jamie and Claire have any quiet moments where they share their hopes, dreams, and hearts post-Episode 107. It’s not just about the missing sex. Jamie and Claire actually *GASP* talk in the books and enjoy each other’s companies. This is something I’ve always felt has been missing in the show and it’s tragic. We’re just expected to assume that occurs off-screen. I really hope they fix this in the second half of Season 3—especially since they are getting to know one another again. I hope Jamie’s humor (such as it is on the show) returns and Claire breaks free of her repression. Maril keeps saying they’re enjoying each other in 3x06 until the real world intrudes. I just need like 10 scenes of them on that ship talking about their future. But it’s this show so… I’m worried they’ll be all, “You got all that in 3x06, what more do you want?” If they do, the answer will be, “it’s called character and relationship development. All of that can’t and shouldn’t be contained to a single episode.”

I love Peggy so much. I just watched the last episode, and I REALLY hope that it gets renewed for a second season because even though i watch agents of SHIELD, i enjoyed these 8 episodes of agent carter more than the two seasons of SHIELD. It has it flaws like many shows, and I hope it gets a second chance to fix them, anyway, here are some peggy doodles from the last ep!

Guys, honestly. My issue isn’t William being back. I understand he was a big fan favourite in Norway and at the end of the day this is a Norwegian show and it’s ending. It’s the last time those fans will have a chance to see everyone. I understand that. So while I’m not particularly interested in William, I don’t care either way about him being back. My issue, and why I complained, was that Julie is introducing yet another twist and issue for Sana without resolving the previous issues in a satisfying way. Not only that, she had Sana find out about how Yousef felt about her via reading texts. Texts via Noora, not Yousef. There was no spoken dialogue between Sana and Yousef at all. If Julie wanted us to know that nothing had happened between Noora and Yousef via reading texts, she should have had Yousef confront Sana about how she was acting and we should have had Sana say, I know you’re with Noora. And we should have then had Yousef show her the messages, explaining himself. At least then it would be coming from him, anything from him. Then Sana could have gone to Noora to tell her about William and the episode could have ended the way it did but at least we’d have had some actual communication between Sana and the person supposed to be her love interest in her season. At least then it would have felt less like Noora and William hijacking Sana’s moment, if her moment had felt like it was at least equal theirs. But it didn’t because we hadn’t seen Yousef in ages and all we got was them making eyes at each other (which was super cute and all, don’t get me wrong) for like thirty seconds.

I just hope that we’re going to get a meaningful discussion between Yousana soon, where they actually discuss things like how a relationship between them might work. I could really care less about Eskild’s take on religious/non-religious relationships. And I also hope we get a meaningful discussion between the girls too because as much as Julie seems to harp on about how important it is to open up to people, she has a funny way of not showing us people resolving things by actually discussing them.

Your pictures with Mark are giving me life! What was his reaction to your warfstache tattoo, if you don't mind me asking?

Aaww, thank you so much! I wasn’t sure what kind of reaction I was going to receive after posting them bc I know a lot of people get sad around convention season :c

Well, we only had 20 seconds with him, so I had no time to explain what it meant or why I got it, but he said it was super cool. While I didn’t get enough time to tell him everything I wanted, I’m just beyond grateful that I got the opportunity. And I will never, EVER forget today.

The photographer DID get a picture of him seeing it, which I was lowkey hoping for. Excuse my face:

I will make it quick.

Alright, trying not to cry while writing this post. I just hate the fact that this will be my last time, of sorts, that I will click that ‘Post’ button down there. Anyhow-

As some of you already know this is my last year in high school and that also means my finals are just around the corner. In order to study as much as I need to to be able to get into university I need to make sacrifices. And one of them is tumblr. I wish I wouldnt have to make this post but I need to.

I need to inform you that starting from tomorrow and until the 1st of July I will need to go on a hiatus. And before anyone is fast to click that unfollow button I am here telling you that this blog is NOT dead. We have just come to a season finale, that is all. The next season starts on July second. It is only a hiatus!

This is not something I want, under no circumstances. If it was up to me I’d be writing and posting evryday all year round but this is about my future. And I can’t be an asshole, neither to myself nor to my parents and teachers. They have all tried very hard, me included, to be able to come here and have hope that I can actually get to be something in my life.

I am not talking big here, never was. I’d like to believe I am a down to Earth person (minus the times I daydream about Supernatural) and as that I have decided to take this difficut decision. I could stay, yes, and go on hiatus for only a monthh or two before my exams but I can’t. I need to take this seriously. Other kids have been making this kind of sacrifices ever since the beginning of September and if I wan to achieve my goals I need to do this now.

I won’t be able to post however I will be able to reply occasionally to your mail (not inbox, the other thing though) and I would really love to keep contact with you. Again, the blog is not being closed. I am not quitting because I think that I have a lot more in me as far as energy, passion, love and stories are concerned.

That being said, I hope you all can understand my reasons to this break. It would honestly mean a lot for me to know that you suppot me through this because, honestly, it is about my future guys. It is important for me, more than anything else, and I can’t afford to lose this chance.

So, I guess that’s what I had to say. Here I have links to my masterlist(s) for every story minus those 20 I just uploaded! If you are looking for them just scroll down in my blog and you can find them!

I used to have the entire Masterlist here. Links for every story and imagine I wrote but tumblr obviously let me have only a certain amount of links. So I’ve split it up:

Stories Masterlist 1#
Stories Masterlist 2#

My imagines are a little bit shorter stories, not just gifs, and there are a couple mini-series too! (All links are working trust me!)

Imagines Masterlist #1

Imagines Masterlist #2

So, with tears in my eyes I tell you this angels:

Victor’s career

I was thinking a bit about the fact that Victor is five-time consecutive Grand Prix winner but like it is said that he was on the top since he was 16 so does it mean he’d won earlier but failed when he was 21 or that he started to win regularly when he was older (quite uncanny when you look at the average skaters age)? So how in my opinion his career looked?

Firstly, I’m sure that Victor started to win when he was 16, we know he won his first European Championships then so even if he wasn’t the best in the world yet he already was the best in Europe and in his age category (we also learn in ep 1 that he’s beaten world record in junior division year before so).

And I think that we have even a more obvious proof here because it may be suggested in the 10 episode that Victor won the first Winter Olympics he was able to take part in. I can’t find the original post but someone noticed that when you look at one of the medals on Victor’s chest, the most exposed one:

It looks oddly similar to Torino 2006 medals:

Which would mean that Victor won his first Olympics being just 17 (and is obviously very proud of it). So he was already the best of best then. I’m also pretty sure that one of the medals with blue ribbon could be Vancouver 2010 medal and there’s really no reason why Victor shouldn’t win it if he was already the best (and I bet he’s Sochi champion too). And after Vancouver, he’s won every one of Gran Prix Finals that we know for sure. So what intrigues me is what was happening between 2006 and 2010 Olympics?

The first reason why Victor could not be able to win every competition before would be the fact that there were some older more experienced skaters which would be logical except that we never hear about anyone being even close to Victor’s league. Every skater from Chris to Yurio looked to Victor at some point. It’s like no one really remembers times before Victor, he was the legend when he was 16 already and we never see anyone who could be any threat or an inspiration for him. So I think that even if Victor lost some competitions then he was still considered the best and champion-to-be.

And the only other possibility is that Victor could get injured at some point. This is just my headcanon now but I guess that he could get a really serious contusion when he was about 19/20 years old and he had to take a year off the ice to recover. I think it would make so much sense if that was the “dark moment” of his professional career, the one when he cut his hair and changed his style. And he would make his comeback right before Vancouver which would be a very nice similarity to Stephane Lambiel’s story (that wonderful skater that had his cameo in 12 ep) and I don’t know how much canon it will turn out (if will ever get any info about Victor’s past lol)  but I love this idea and I thought I could share it.

Just you know, Victor starting to win everything and then suddenly he pushes himself too far and he don’t even know if he’ll be able to come back (poor Yuuri crying whole night because of his idol), getting depressed and cutting his hair but then working two times as hard as before and coming back just to surprise everyone and win his second Olympic gold. So much Victor style.

So this is it I just had this idea but I like it and maybe it will help someone with writing about Victor’s past idk. I’m just very curious who was winning when it wasn’t Victor himself I really hope will get to know more about Victor’s past next season!

Strong NatsuTori vibes throughout. Natori better not betray Natsume over the Yuujinchou. Looks like Nyanko-sensei will be keeping an eye on him.

I freaked out a little; of course I immediately thought of Reiko’s husband/mate.

I thought my theory about Natsume’s grandpa being Nyanko-sensei in human form was dashed when he mentioned exorcist: I guess his grandpa could have been an exorcist, maybe from a prominent family (and of course I immediately thought of the Matoba or Natori families). Perhaps it was one of those secret affair deals between Reiko and his grandpa which resulted in her being pregnant but unmarried and therefore disgraced (cuz people were old school closed-minded)…

…but then they immediately flashed to Nyanko with this indecipherable expression on his face, and he also quickly changed the subject by distracting Natsume with that race home, so I think I’m going to hold on to my theory for a little bit longer.

I was spared the tears last episode, but no such luck this time. My eyes welled up as soon as smol Natsume appeared.

My tears were pretty much trickling down my face by this point.

Thank goodness for this random Natsume crotch shot that immediately followed the emotional flashback sequence. The camera held it there for just a second too long to be accidental. Lol.

I can’t believe the season’s already over. 11 episodes is too short.

At least they closed the season out with a tiny TanuNatsu moment; I think even Taki ships them (or, I imagine she would if she figured out what was going on. She looks like the type who would totally support and enable their ship).

And this cuteness. I hope we get another season soon. I really loved seeing/hearing them on-screen again.

“—I wasn’t even thinking when I turned the fire extinguisher on them, but it freaked ‘em out enough that they left with the drunk guy.”

Kent cackles. The sound of it buzzes through the air. There’s a tension in it, a static charge searching for something to ground it.

Jack blushes. Kent notices, sobering up. He shifts his weight from his right leg to his left.

“Sorry,” Kent rests the lip of his bear bottle between his teeth. “It’s a good story.”

“What’s so funny?” Bitty budges through the crowd of inebriated dancers.

He makes it a point to lean against the wall space between the two, watching them carefully. Kent hadn’t been keen on coming to this kegster. He was still reeling over how the last one ended. But this was different, they kept reminding him. There was no honor to reclaim. No friendship or love to rekindle. There was no objective for tonight other than to have fun.

“Zimms was telling me the fire extinguisher story.” Kent jostles his shoulder casually, amicably.

“Lord,” Bitty crinkle his nose. “Why on earth would you wanna hear about the football team?”

Luckily, someone stops by just then to ask for a selfie with Jack and Kent. Zimmermann and Parse—Zimms and Kenny—the dream team they’ve been calling them all season. People had strong reactions to their reunion (namely relief if you were a Falconers fan, fear if you weren’t). Kent thinks, hopes, Bitty’s forgotten the question. However, the second he looks away from the random party goer (selfie face still plastered tightly on) Bitty’s staring at him expectantly.

Kent sighs, “I wanted to know.”

Eric still doesn’t get it. “Know what?” he persists.

“What made you fall in love with him,” he says softly. The words have a quite resignation. Like a man who knew the ending of a tale before it even started. Like someone who was used to not being enough.

Bitty’s face falls. “Oh honey, he had me long before that.”

Kent nods, “good to know.”

Jack huffs, “I think we need some air.”

Bitty and Kent follow him out back without protest. The music is as loud out there as it is inside of the Haus. There are less bodies and heat, however, so Kent can think a little clearer. He thinks about the song that was playing when he arrived the last time. The lyrics seemed significant yet trivial at the time. Like his body new something about that night that his mind was catching up to.

“When the answer in what you want is in the question you state,” he finds himself murmuring.

Bitty blanches, trying to decode his meaning. Jack snorts. Which means of course, of course, Jack knows what he’s thinking. Jack has a way of reading him like a book.

“We took a class together that semester,” Jack begins without context. “Bits was helping me with a final project.”

“Yea that was it alright,” Bitty hums with a rueful smile.

“Was that it for you?” Kenny asks, excitement fluttering in his gut.

Jack shakes his head, “after we lost the Frozen Four that year.”

“Wow, that’s super romantic,” Kent chirps.

“It was,” Bitty smiles fondly. He leans over to kiss Jack’s cheek. “That was the longest I’d ever held someone before. It was nice.”

Kent feels the tightness of his lips. This is why he came; this is why he sticks around. They’re perfect for each other. And for some reason, they want him too. It’s a relief more than a burden most days. Kent knows today was easier than most, for all of them.

Jack clears his throat, taking Kent’s hand and pulling him into the side of him currently unoccupied by Bitty. Kent doesn’t look up as he feels Jack’s lips hover over his temple. Kent’s eyes flutter shut. For a moment, he’s sixteen again and everything’s momentarily peaceful. He opens them again, realizing that he’s twenty-seven and not everything’s perfect. But it’s gotten a lot easier to say it’s ok.

“It was the memorial cup,” Jack continues. “We were hugging and all I could think was, ‘I love it right here.’”

Kent nods, in understanding. A lot about that time was still muddled in trauma and anxiety. Everything about their lives and emotions were so high. It was ages ago, however. The scars were still visible, but mostly faded.

Bitty nudges Kent, “last winter. You were late to your own game because of me.”

Kent’s brows furrow, “Bits, you broke your arm. How could I not—”

Bitty chuckles, “I know. That’s when I knew.”

A warmth overflows from Kent’s heart. He looks between both of them and wonders how did he end right back here? At some lame party and some dumb college in the middle of the Boston suburbs. Only, it isn’t some lame party. From what he’s been told Epikegsters are legendary. You never know what (or who) will come up.

“We were sixteen,” Kent’s voice catches a little. “Your parents let me stay the night. We snuck out and went to that Arcade Fire show. I remember standing in that crowd and—I grabbed your hand. I thought you were gonna push me away.”

Jack nods, a sad smile gracing his lips.

“He pulled me in Bits,” Kent feels his face radiating. “Our first kiss was around five hundred other sweaty assholes.”

Bitty laughs, wiping a tear from his eye. “Of course, it was.”

“And you—” Kent takes Eric’s hand, kissing it with all the tenderness he can muster after three beers. (He briefly considers that this must be what adulthood feels like.) “You were in that kitchen, chirping me about an assist.”

Bitty tilts his head in confusion. “When was that?”

Kent squints. “Two months? After that one kegster.”

Bitty’s mouth opens to say something, probably some protest about ‘why didn’t you say something sooner’.” Instead, Jack swoops in to kiss Eric. Kent sighs in relief. Some questions take time. Some answers take even longer to get said. Kent’s fine with postponing this conversation. He’s got all the time in the world to tell them how much he loves them.

Shockingly Simple (Peter Parker x Reader)

Request: anonymous asked:

Hi can you please do a peter parker x reader where they are best friends, but she is tony Starks daughter. And after a mission goes wrong she gets powers and freaks out, she starts sneaking out and making wrong choices but peter helps her get through the tough time. Sorry if this doesn’t make any sense 😊

Word Count: 630

Warnings: some Avenger fighting. and the reader goes through pain (to get their powers)

A/N: Sorry this took a while, anon, I’ve started pre-season practice 🙄 and have been going through some writers block and I also was soooooo indecisive with how I wanted this to go. I decided it’s gonna be 2 parts, just so I could set it up and focus on the second part of your request ❤️ also didn’t want to bombard you guys with another thousand words lol I did try to keep this one short since it’s supposed to set up the main part of the story

anyway hope you guys like it!! ❤️❤️

Part 2

The dull clang of metal on ceramic jarred you from your snooze. You looked down to see the spoon you had dropped in your soggy cereal, as well as tiny droplets of milk clinging onto your mission suit. You brushed them off with a weary sigh.

“Someone clearly should’ve gotten more sleep,” a high, raspy voice greeted you. You looked up to see a head of soft brown curls topping a figure of red and blue. Peter turned his attention from the open pantry to look back at you. “Seriously, though, how much sleep did you actually get?”

You scoffed, “Not enough.”

Peter walked over and leaned on the table, facing you. “I say you last about two seconds into this mission before you pass out,” he challenged, unwrapping the Pop-Tart he carried over.

“Okay, it’s not that bad.”

“Really? I dunno, I mean you let that poor spoon drown in milk just so you could get a few z’s…”

You rolled your eyes. “Oh, so I’m to assume you got such a great rest last night, so you could do this whole mission yourself?” You reached over to break off a piece of processed, pasty blueberry pastry.

“Well I’m not one to brag, but—”

“Oh, please,” you rolled your eyes, smirking. “It’s a simple item extraction anyway, so it’s fine. I mean it’s not even serious enough for half the team!”

“Their lucky asses get to sleep in,” Peter sighed.

Sitting in a comfortable silence, nibbling on Pop-Tart, you both waited for the call. You didn’t have to wait very long.

“Wheels up in five,” your dad’s voice sounded over the PA.

Everything was going to plan. Most of the guards were headed for Clint and Wanda at the main entry point. And your dad and Steve were already headed from their original post to you and Peter to assist with the extraction. Not that you really needed it.

You two had made quick work of the guards at the room’s entrance with your electric gloves (thanks, Nat) and Peter’s webs. You braced yourself against the wall, beside the door. Peter did the same on the opposite side, and you both turned to look at each other.

“I web ‘em up, you grab the thing?” he whisper-asked.

“Sounds good. I wanna kick the door, though.”

“Alright, sleepyhead.”

“Shut up.”

You took a step forward and spun around. Using your all your strength, you slammed your foot into the wood. It swung open, and Peter rushed through the door webs firing, you following close behind.

“Whoop! Sorry, I, was this yours? Yeah no, bad guy, you ain’t gettin’ it back—WOAH is that a sword?! Damn, that is awesome, dude!”

You ran past Peter examining the shiny specimen trapped with the dangling guard. A crystal glowed blue atop a small stand in the very back of the room. Your better judgement advised you to find some gloves, or perhaps a cloth or something, but of course you ignored it. Simple item extraction, you thought. Simple. You grabbed the stone off the stand, and it responded with a shock.

Dropping the crystal, your entire body convulsed and writhed in pain. Your vision was tinged a frosty blue. A blazing warmth was spreading from your fingertips through your arms, making its way through you until your entire body felt like it was humming with energy, ready to burst. Peter’s shouts sounded worlds away, trying to break through the thundering of your heartbeat in your ears.

Suddenly, the energy humming within you grew into an intense scream. You felt every cell in your body ripping itself apart. You became a supernova of light, pain, and power. Everything became unbearably bright. Then as suddenly as it brightened, everything became pitch black nothing.

I’m not completely satisfied with that tbh

I knew Hardy and Miller couldn’t leave, and I knew Take My Leave of You had to be about Mark and Beth, but what are we meant to make of Mark’s movements? do we assume he’s going to kill joe or kill himself now?

the ferocious fight between Jim and Ed at the party - did they ever fully explain that? was it purely over work hours?

what the heck was up with mackerel boy? just a red herring? but what was he hiding that made him lie about the fish and where he was?

what happens to Jim and Cath now? Jim was so shady by the end of it, good lord

why did Ian’s girlfriend send those threatening messages to Trish? at that stage, what did she want her to shut up about?

also fuck Ian I don’t trust that dude to do good deeds, he needs to stay 5 billion feet away from Trish

would also have liked more of a wrap up with Harford (and whyyy did she touch the twine with bare hands last ep)

the young/old generational divide worked pretty well, showing there’s good and bad on both sides… I had a feeling it’s be youths and videos involved

tinder date is still weird and irrelevant, unless it was purely to show that hardy was being a bad dad at that point, but that brand of bad daddery still doesn’t suit hardy. still seems tremendously out of character to happen at that point in the case.

is that really it for joe? I know that Trish’s procedural case had to come first, but after what happened in the first 2 seasons I don’t buy for a second that he would stay away from his sons

I’m still sad we didn’t get a scene where Ellie could play/speak to Fred, and also that we didn’t get her talking to Tom after Michael’s arrest

also what was up with Ellie’s dad? is the only reason he’s in this season because he had to provide free childcare so Ellie could run off on the case constantly? if that’s so, why not just bring in the pre-established, and conspicuously absent, Lucy to give the free childcare? what the hell did her dad contribute? I was hoping for a conversation that properly explained his presence, his motive for STAYING AWAY during the events of the first 2 seasons, but nothing. I guess he was a bad male role model for Tom but???? why.

I was perfectly fine with this being the last season because I trusted everything would come to a satisfying, firm conclusion, but so much feels shaky and tenuous I wonder if Chibbers has deliberately held a bit back, just in case he ever wants to come back to this world and write for them again
