i just feel like this is super relevant today

Y'all let me start out by saying that I’m super on board with this whole #punchnazis thing but like…..
Honestly if you guys are just waking up to the idea that anti-semitism and neo-nazism are still relevant things today then you are VERY LATE TO THE GAME. Like I’m glad you guys are here now and waking up, but there has always been rampant anti-Semitism in America, and the only reason y'all are getting up in arms about it now is because people are feeling like they can be more open and vocal about their prejudices and racism. Let me put it to ya this way: Again, glad you guys are all here to fight nazis now but.
Where were you when:
-I got harassed by people on the street trying to convert me while I was in college and literally would NOT LET ME GO TO CLASS unless I agreed to take their copy of the New Testament
-My coworker told me he hoped I “wasn’t wrong” when I told him I don’t believe in Jesus and would not let the subject go when I asked to talk about something else
-I stopped wearing my star of David to work because I was getting harassed too much by customers
-The windows of my synagogue were shattered, amounting in $7000 worth of damages
-The suburbs of my college town were defaced with anti-semitic vandalism amounting in $30,000 worth of damages.
If you’re just now getting woke to the fact that Neo-Nazis are still a thing, then you’ve been woefully, blissfully ignorant at my and my people’s expense.

Rememeber this. The people you’re trying to step on, we’re everyone you depend on. We’re the people who do your laundry and cook your food and serve your dinner. We make your bed. We guard you while you’re asleep. We drive the ambulances. We direct your call. We are cooks and taxi drivers and we know everything about you. We process your insurance claims and credit card charges. We control every part of your life.

We are the middle children of history, raised by television to believe that someday we’ll be millionaires and movie stars and rock stars, but we won’t. And we’re just learning this fact. So don’t fuck with us.
