i just can't help looking at his face this whole scene

anonymous asked:

Hi, I don't know if you're taking prompts but I just read your scene about Andrew being there in Baltimore and it was amazing so I wanted to ask you to write something about Andreil + neck kisses, because I feel like this is a Very Important plot point that was not fully explored. Like maybe Andrew coming to terms with the fact that it's actually his favorite thing, and not knowing how to ask for it? Ugh I just finished rereading the series and I can't get enough of these stupid boys 🦊

(Thank you so muuuuch, and also I totally agree tbh)

He hates the way Neil always pauses to kiss at the hinge of his jaw on the way to his neck. It’s like a check point, the sweet press of a power button, and Neil doesn’t even seem to realize he’s doing it. He kisses with his whole face too, dragging down over Andrew’s bottom lip and chin and throat with his eyes closed, like he’s too in love with the experience to even look.

It’s killing Andrew. It’s stoppering the air in his lungs and giving him stomach ache with how bad he wants it. You like it. I like that you like it.

Andrew hates that he likes it, the vulnerability of that bared neck. It feels like a mistake every time he does it, but it also kind of feels like he’s taken the first shots of the night and he can’t stop, like the more he drinks the thirstier he gets. Neil is such a mistake, but he’s so so easy to make.

Kissing — like this, with the covers pushed down and Andrew on his side with his hand up Neil’s shirt — feels inevitable. He can’t stop pushing up Neil’s springy cowlicks and Neil can’t stop fumbling down to Andrew’s neck and sucking. It’s so humid and nervy-tense between them, like it’s never been, like Neil is singlehandedly dangling Andrew off of a rooftop.

Neil passes his tongue over that root of Andrew’s jaw and Andrew makes a noise so low that it sounds wounded. He just barely keeps his hands from forcing Neil closer, chasing that moment where Neil can’t help himself, circulating between mouth and face and neck before Andrew directs his attention elsewhere. He just wants to stay in that circuit with his hands open and his head tilted back.

Andrew’s fist must go too tight in Neil’s hair because he pulls back frowning, lips red.

“Sorry,” Neil says. “Carried away.” He looks troubled by this, like he’s not used to being carried away by things that aren’t arguments.

“No,” Andrew starts, and then stalls out. His hand is still in Neil’s hair. He doesn’t know how to ask for this; doesn’t even know if he wants to.

“No?” Neil repeats. “Okay.” He leans back and off of Andrew, passing one hand through his own hair and undoing Andrew’s work messing it up.

“I didn’t tell you to stop,” Andrew says, and the way he’s exposed is too much — shirt pushed up in the tousle to pull Neil on top, hard and marked up.

“In my experience, no means stop,” Neil says evenly.

It’s exactly what he wants to hear, he realizes suddenly. Neil finds this humiliating way of giving Andrew what he wants without looking like he’s considered it at all.

But really, the more I watch it the more I realise it’s not only a fantastic Ignis moment, it’s a fantastic Chocobros moment in general? REALLY LONG POST AHEAD + UNFINISHED GAMEPLAY WRITING BUT THIS SCENE

Lemme start with Ignis because duh (if you’ve seen anything out of me the past two weeks, it’s probably been Ignis related). He’s been pretty passive about losing his eyesight up until this point. He calls it a minor sacrifice in the grand scheme of things. When Noctis and Gladio fight on the train, Ignis says nothing, even though part of the argument is his own injury. He only tries to stop Gladio by saying his name; Prompto is the one who tries to break it up (more in a moment. anyway not that Ignis really could break it up rn but you know) He’s been optimistic enough about it, though. “I’ll manage somehow” when you invite him into the mines. “This is considerably harder than I expected” he says about fighting. But sometimes you hear the boys say something and Iggy just sort of sighs. They’re dancing around him, and his injury, and the argument, and this scene is where it culminates.

The first time he actually says that it isn’t okay is because of their friendship hitting a low point, rather than his actual injury. But he is so, so aware of that injury and how it has the potential to drag them down. He still says “I would remain with you all. Til the very end” because these are his brothers and he damn well plans to, but that said.

This is the first time we hear Ignis raise his voice, I think. Not including battle cries and the like. Which is saying a lot because this boy is very, very calculated on his emotions. (ie later on when Prompto falls off the train, you hear the very audible difference in Noctis’s voice vs Iggy’s) He’s Crownsguard, Noctis is his king, he will do anything for him, and believes he has no reason to complain even if he has gone blind. But that’s a Big Thing. His yelling in this scene exactly “I know full well!” is finally, finally his frustration coming out and it’s triggered because of their bickering (or anti-bickering, since they aren’t really… speaking much).

He says he is willing to bow out if he starts to slow them down, which imo is like asking him to suffer a physical injury all over again (he is Crownsguard, Noctis is his king, he will do anything for him) but he still will DO IT because he won’t be a burden.

He goes on to give Noctis what, I think, is a much needed confidence boost. “A king pushes onward always, accepting the consequences and never looking back” and in the opening sentences for the next chapter, it literally uses those same words to describe Noct’s reaction to Ardyn’s trick: never looking back. (Also never looking back is exactly what Ignis is doing right now, which is why the choice to focus the camera so much on his scars in that moment is AMAZING.)

He continues with that to tell Gladio that Noct will be king and he will rule, but “only once he’s ready”. And this is SO important. Gladio’s interaction with Noct is painful at least and rage inducing at worst (more below) but not only does Noct need to hear this, Gladio does, too. They can push Noctis into that throne but he will never be able to lead until he is ready, and that involves coming to terms with some very, very heavy stuff that’s been happening. Everybody doesn’t handle grief the same way and they’re all having a hard go at it in very different ways thanks to the events of late.

So all of this makes this the DAMN GOOD IGNIS MOMENT. But it’s also really good for the rest of them, both in mentioned ways and others, but since I’m apparently waxing poetic

Prompto, Gladio, and Noctis under the cut ↓ (note: 150% zoom for easier reading)

I feel like Derek is the sweetest to drunk Stiles. Like once Stiles loses his inhibitions Derek loses his asshole act. So he says yes to EVERYTHING Stiles says, with zero percent snark or eye rolls. Like Stiles could go, I want a pony with your face on it and Derek would just be like, 'okay dear' but the sad part is that Sober Stiles doesn't remember any of this so he can't blackmail his boyfriend for being so mushy to his drunk self.

I am 1000% here for Derek being a pure little cinnamon roll underneath all the gruff and leather. Which, hey, let’s be real here - this is actually canon. Derek Hale talks a big game and he snarls and growls and threatens to rip your throat out but this is also….a bit of an act. Or at least, these are the kind of things Derek’s walls are built of. After all, he’s had to learn to protect himself, emotionally speaking. His first love died and the second woman he opened himself up to murdered almost his entire family. He’s an abuse victim - several times over by season 3 - and when he lost Laura, he not only lost the very last person he trusted but the very last person who loved him.

Sarcasm is Stiles’ defence and while Derek is snarky and sarcastic and is pretty much the only one who can go toe to toe with Stiles in a game of verbal tennis, we all know he is also this guy

We all know, at Derek’s core, he is cocky and arrogant. We all know he is a book nerd and likes to show off. We all know Derek Hale is, in fact, a dork.

And the thing is, while older!Derek is emotionally closed off, is hardened and scared, his experiences having shaped and changed him, we still see glimpses off this boy and it hurts. I mean, ffs, almost ten years later and he’s still using basket balls to flirt???

And to be honest, if we do look at this scene as Derek flirting with Stiles, or at least being playful, it actually really hurts because Stiles is the only person Derek does this with. Derek “bad mouths” Stiles a lot but he also likes to play with him a little and it’s like, just for a few small moments every now and again, Derek can be himself. He can be this guy

(coincidence these scenes are also with Stiles?? *looks at the camera like I’m in the office)

He can be the person underneath all the walls. And what is beautiful is that even though Derek likes playing with Stiles in the beginning, he does not like Stiles playing with him back. We see that several times. He’s not ready for that, it scares him and he is very wary of it. But then you get to this scene

and it’s so beautiful and makes me want to cry because

And I think, little by little, as they get closer and closer (aka Stiles going to college and “oh my god, Derek?? what are you doing here??”) Derek will let his guard down for Stiles. Will his walls go away? Of course not. But will Stiles build a goddamn stair case up those walls? Will he get to peer over and see a whole other side to Derek, a side Derek is very protective of other people seeing? I have no doubt, because what gets me about Sterek is that Derek Hale, while being someone who shuts everyone out, and understandably so, (even though all he really craves is pack and family) he lets Stiles in, bit by bit. This is why, even though their relationship in canon is never an explicit “I love you”, I don’t give a fuck because what their relationship in canon is is this whole build up of beautiful, beautiful trust.

It’s Derek letting Stiles put his hand on his shoulder when he’s at his most vulnerable. It’s Stiles being hesitant to put his hand on Derek’s shoulder because he fucking knows Derek’s deal with being touched at this point.

It’s Derek trusting Stiles enough to leave his baby sister with him, even though she is all he has left in this world.

It’s getting to THIS FUCKING POINT

Question: About the Jikook Video, I have a question. Is there any evidence of the same sort for OTHER ships that completely denies Jikook? Or is there like evidence that denies Jikook in general? This is not comparing ships but falsification (you can google Karl Popper if you don't know what it is), because the evidence shook me too but I can't help but be skeptical ;p I just want to know for sure haha.

Thank you for this question! I never really thought about this before.

I’ll start off by saying, I only ever really look at Jikook moments as romantic, so even if there are some moments from other ships that might “deny” Jikook, I don’t see them that way. Jikook is the only ship I have ever actually thought might be romantic and that I am this invested in, so I am a little biased.

There are some moments from Yoon/min that could be perceived as romantic, especially the one on Yoongi’s birthday last year where Jimin said “you know” in reply to Yoongi’s question of what he got him. This made the Yoon/min fandom blow up because Yoongi replied “I know”, and it was really sweet and cute.

There’s also a few V/min and Tae/kook moments, like when there were reports (just recently) of Jimin sitting on Tae’s lap and the two of them tickling each others chins. Or how practically everyone in the fandom is convinced Tae/kook is real because they slept next to each other in a behind the scenes photo on Bon Voyage.

But after all these moments from other ships, I still think Jikook are the most realistic. It’s not in-your-face moments where they proclaim their love, it’s moments where you have to glance again and again to see what’s really happening.

Like the recent twitter video, where it sounds like Jungkook blows a kiss at Jimin and then says “My mo- my mochi.” in a soft, loving voice. It’s like the video I just analyzed where it seems almost too obvious Jimin is in that room (seriously I know for a fact that was Jimin’s voice saying “you scared me” and “pardon”). Or in 2015 during a birthday (I think Rap Mon’s) vlive where Jungkook rested his head on Jimin’s shoulder and Jimin had not-so-subtly widened his eyes and moved his head to get Jungkook off him (Jungkook glanced at the camera and took a whole step back, like BOY). It’s like at the 2015 mama awards where Tae said that Jimin was hanging out with Jungkook and then a year later its shown they were alone in a hotel room, and Jungkook was shirtless under his jacket (plus Jimin’s voice was raspy af).

I may be seeing things through only one point of view, but I truly do think the evidence for Jikook is just too real.

  • what she says: i'm fine.
  • what she means: ok so how did Brian Jones's death become so wrongfully depicted in the media? It's reported that he died under the influence of drink and drugs and became "just another sad rockstar that died drugged and drunk" but first of all the postmortem found little to no evidence of drugs in his system and his blood alcohol level represented the equivalent of just three and a half pints of beer, and people that knew him, Keith Richards included, noted that it was indeed very strange that he drowned in such a short period of time in his own swimming pool while broadly sober, because Brian was a very strong swimmer and very acrobatic in water. Anna Wohlin, his girlfriend of three months and a key witness, maintains that Brian had stopped taking drugs (except for sleeping pills, which he did NOT abuse) when they met in April of '69 and also maintains that Brian was NOT sad, devastated or felt any sort of betrayal against the Stones members for sacking him, he was actually quite relieved (also verified by Keith Richards) and that he and Anna actually had planned to go to the Hyde Park gig so Brian could publicly show he had no hard feelings about leaving the Rolling Stones. He had wanted to get out of the band for some time and wanted to get together a new band, Bill Wyman remembers that Brian was phoning people up about creating a new band before he died and that he called Bill being very excited about it. Anyway, back to what i was saying earlier. Also present that night was Frank Thorogood, a minder aggravated after being fired by Brian on the day of his death because he wasn't doing the building work on Brian's house properly. Brian had expressed guilt over having fired him to Anna and worried he had sounded too harsh on Frank so he invited him back for dinner that night (steak and kidney pie). They later took a midnight swim in which Frank ultimately were left alone with Brian after Anna went inside to take a phone call. And ok so Brian was no angel and used to tease Frank calling him "old man" and while in the swimming pool that night he had teased Frank a little and grabbed his ankles dragging him down. Anna says that she left them to answer a call (that turned out to be from a friend of hers in London) and that Brian was in good shape and spirit when she went inside, and that she believes she was inside for a maximum of 10-15 minutes. Also present was Frank's friend (and rumored lover) Janet Lawson that went inside to find Brian's asthma inhalator that he asked her to get. She looked around the house for it and eventually went to the kitchen where she was met by Frank, she described him shaking to the point he hardly being able to light his cigarette and she sensed something was wrong and rushed out to the pool where she saw Brian laying still at the bottom face down. She (unable to swim) started to shout at Frank to help her but he ignored her cries for help and Anna who was upstairs heard Janet scream "something has happened with Brian" and ran down the stairs where she saw Frank standing there "shaking like a leaf" trying to light his cigarette, she then continued running out, jumping in the pool retrieving him from the bottom and trying to get Brian up on the pool edge, which she wasn't strong enough to do, so she screamed at Frank to help her, in which she said in a (swedish) radio documentary in 2008; "I screamed at Frank to come help me, and then after a while he came dawdling, he didn't seem very interested to come and help me.". She and Janet tried to massage Brian's heart and do CPR and Anna didn't want to believe that he was dead so she just kept on trying but when the ambulance showed up he was declared dead. Anna has always maintained that she didn't think Frank killed him intentionally and that it was horseplay in the pool that went wrong. Terribly wrong. This is also supported by Thorogood’s alleged death bed confession to Tom Keylock, the Rolling Stones driver, in 1993. Tom Keylock repeated his friends confession on Crimewatch in 1994 and told Classic Rock magazine; "In 1993 I went to see Frank in hospital and he said: 'It was me that done Brian.' He was very tired. I said: 'I'll come back tomorrow, and [you can] tell me more.' But he died during the night. I never found out the specifics." AND THEN MY FRIENDS at the inquiry both Janet Lawson and Anna Wohlin (separately at different times and occasions) have claimed that the inquiries were under unfair conditions and Janet Lawson broke her 40 year silence and said in sworn testimony to investigative journalist Scott Jones (in which all information in this post from Janet is taken from), shortly before she died of cancer in 2008, about the inquiry; "A pack of lies, the policeman suggested most of what I said. It was a load of rubbish." The inquiries were held at 3-4 am., she was nervous, confused, and mentally and physically exhausted and were told that she were able to give another statement later on when she was in better shape, which was untrue and she never got to give another statement, so she eventually just said "yes" to the suggestions of the police. PC Albert Evans, who was the first officer on the scene, sensed something was wrong upon arriving and later said about Frank; "There was nothing at the time to connect Thorogood with any more. Just feelings." Evans was NOT asked to attend the inquest. A Sussex officer who can't be named but who knows the case very well made claims about how Anna's statement had been produced and said "Wohlin had been given sedatives by the doctor and had to be actually woken up during the interview. The WDC who wrote that statement was told what to write by Bob Marshall (the chief investigation officer). Bob Marshall was controlling it, the evidence that was written down. He was pushing the buttons." Anna herself has also said that she was under sedation and shock. THE WHOLE HANDLING OF THE CASE IS JUST SO STRANGE AND FLAWED.
  • And after the inquiries Anna was given 5 minutes by the Rolling Stones management to gather some stuff from her and Brian's home so they could send her home on a plane back to Sweden, as she said, "I was just a nuisance, I was just a problem. They had to think about the Stones upcoming U.S. tour and they didn't know what I was capable of." She managed to grab some of Brian's clothes and a couple of his hats and then had nothing else but that and the clothes she was wearing and was quickly smuggled out of the house. She has still kept his clothes after all these years, they hang in her closet. It's the only things she has left of Brian, when she a couple of weeks later went back to England and Cotchford Farm to retrieve her and Brian's possessions everything was cleared and gone. She also keeps a portrait of Brian on her windowsill. After returning home in '69 she also discovered that she was pregnant with Brian's child. But had a miscarriage. She has blamed herself for his death, "No.. I should have never gone inside to answer the phone. You know, when it was me swimming in the pool Brian would always make sure to go outside to check on me every 10 minutes to see that I was ok. I should have stayed. It's just a fact, if I had not gone inside, I would have been there and around him, and it would never have happened. I will always blame myself for it." She couldn't even attend Brian's funeral, something she deeply regrets today.
  • How Brian Jones's death has been portrayed in media is so flawed and wrong and it's been 46 years, HE DID NOT DIE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND DRUGS AND I DEMAND JUSTICE FOR BRIAN, HE DESERVES IT. (and if anyone would like me to translate the whole radio documentary with Anna Wohlin let me know)

Do you think Malec's relationship is healthy? Like didn't Alec yell at and blame Magnus for his coming out in 2x01? And make him feel like he owed him? And there is a power imbalance with Magnus having more power and experience and being able to play Alec.

Yes, Anon, I do believe Malec’s relationship is indeed very healthy from the beginning. I mean they aren’t technically “together” yet but they care so much for each other? They have these honest conversations like adults? They actually act like adults? If this is not a huge difference from the stuff you normally watch on tv, I don’t know what is. Besides, we may have all waited for a whole year for this date to happen, but it also shows how much care the writers took of their relationship. They didn’t rush it one bit. Another sign that this relationship is good and healthy and will last.

I think you have to understand that Alec was in a very difficult position when he yelled at Magnus. And threw those accusations (f.e. “After everything I’ve done for you.) at him in 2x01. Jace was missing, his parabatai, his soul. He felt helpless. And Magnus, who only wanted to help, was the one person Alec blamed because he was just there in that moment. But, and here we are back at it again with Malec having such a healthy relationship: Alec understood that he was wrong. That his behavior towards Magnus was unacceptable. Which he actually noticed the moment all these hurtful words left his mouth. His face was full of regret. That’s why he came to apologize to Magnus. Where he also admitted towards Magnus that he was right, that Alec came out for himself at his wedding, and not for Magnus. He did kiss Magnus. It was his decision. Not Magnus’. Which makes the whole balcony scene so so great. A beautiful reconciliation scene. <3

Also, I don’t think there is some kind of “power imbalance”, Anon. I mean, sure, Magnus is this super powerful warlock, true. But the way he sometimes looks at Alec? So soft and gentle and caring. And then there is Alec, a true soldier at heart, a shadowhunter. Who repressed his feelings all his life. But suddenly there is somebody who shows an interest in him? And Alec Lightwood smiles and blushes so hard because of that? Can this be any more adorable? I think that’s why we all love Malec so much. Yes, they are both badass “warriors” but they can also be these soft men who literally melt around each other. And this has nothing to do with one maybe having more “power” or experience than the other might have. At the end of the day they are two people who care for each other and love each other so deeply. One is a warlock. One a shadowhunter. But that’s not important. Their love for each other is. And nothing else. What a power couple!

I'll be at work at 6pm, so I can't ask then :'( I'd actually be really interested seeing more things abut Shino Aburame. I also enjoy Ibiki Morino (don't judge me too hard plz.) For Shino I'd like to hear your take on what it would be like to have sex as a member of the Aburame clan. Their bodies aren't only theirs, so I've always wondered. Also, Shino is my waifu5ever <3 As for Ibiki, I feel like he'd be into S&M. Especially as the head of torture and interrogation. So... Sub vs. Dom Ibiki?

Yeeeeeah baby! First request and I hope I didn’ disappoint. Sorry you had to be my first, @ur-favorite-pincushion, but I had to pop the cherry somehow. Put a lot of thought into this one cuz I didn’ know if ya wanted a generalization of the clan itself or just some Shino headcanons. There ain’t enough love for this bug boy, I can tell ya that right now. Ibiki, what a man what a man, was another challenge cuz I got conflicted on it. I don’t see him just being satisfied with *just* S&M, so I went a bit deeper. Still, had fun, and the first time is always the hardest, right? Feedback is always appreciated! Hope you like it! <3

Shino NSFW and Ibiki BDSM Headcanons

• If you’re inquiring whether or not the bugs stay in his body or not, then don’t worry, they do. Unless that’s your thing in which case you may make Shino lose whatever erection he had just so he can tell you the common mating habits of his bugs. You might even forget that they’re in there just, chillin’. So, basically, just don’t mention the bugs until after the hard love-making session just to avoid the risk of killing the vibe and getting a nude entomology lesson. It’s not as sexy as it sounds.

• A lot of the time it is you initiating sex. It takes work to seduce bug-boy but dang, is it worth it. Your first plan of attack should be wearing clothes with a softer, smooth texture to them like silk. Loves the smoothness. Wearing earthy colors and even just wearing comfortable clothes that show off some leg will get his attention. You know you have it when you walk by him and his head follows you. Another, more recent discovery, is perfume. Floral scents. That gets him buzzing. Nothing overbearing, but light and flowery leaves him shook. Walk to the bedroom and he’ll be bound to follow you.

• In accordance to scent, different perfumes will garner different reactions. Some make him more ‘affectionate’, like holding your hand or kissing just under your ear when in private. All in private of course. Others tend to make him heady and maybe a little handsy. It, at this point, shouldn’t come as a surprise that he enjoys the smell of sex. The muskiness of it just relaxes him after the act. Just be careful with the perfume thing, otherwise he’ll be picking your shampoo so you can smell like a damn meadow. Your original shampoo and conditioner will conveniently be replaced with whatever he chose.

• First, you have to build up to this point in your sex life before he even considers it. He plays games with you already in bed that leaves you aching and trembling without the whole (BD)SM factor built in. It’s the little things, y'know? For instance, teasing and edging, and if you are up for it, sensation play. Anything that gets you riled up and begging is fun for him. Hell, you getting pissed is almost downright hilarious for him, not that you’d be able to tell from his stony face. Slowly, ever so slowly, you’ll both work up to a point where he sits you down across from him and it honestly feels like you are being interrogated.

• Deadass serious, he’ll ask if you wanted to try some venturing into BDSM territory, and if you’re eager and enthusiastic, he will look a little softer before his face hardens again. Now, you may wonder why the hell he’s not whipping you the next session of sex and only bringing handcuffs, Ibiki will scoff. Tells you it’s something you build up. After that new round of sex and some aftercare, he tells you he made an appointment to bring you to a seminar that helps teach beginners. Listen, BDSM is psychologically a hard, fun thing to do and it has to be done right down to the flogs. Ibiki is a sadist, but he won’t push beyond what you want to try. There is a HUGE difference between a doeskin flog and a latigo flog, so seminars will help you understand that this isn’t something you can just nose dive into. He will emphasize multiple safewords and gestures, and scenes will always be discussed before and after the act. There’s no spontaneous s&m scenes, Ibiki doesn’t believe in those. He also doesn’t care for being called ‘Sir’ or ‘Master’ or 'Mister’. Calling him by his name is just as fine

• Aftercare is super important, and he’ll ask (interrogate) you on how you’re feeling, what you want to drink, how good you were, etc. He’s thorough in cleaning you up, and it’s one of the rarer times he’ll let you snuggle up on him.

• Psychologically speaking, Ibiki isn’t always comfortable with mixing his work and home life. Preferably he’d rather keep the two seperate, so you’ll have to learn that he isn’t always in the best headspace to be doing any type of super kinky stuff in the bedroom. He knows himself very well in the fact that if he’s not in the right head space he won’t be tying you up. If you insist, he’ll scowl at you and retire to bed. So, don’t push him.

Hi! Sorry to bother you with a bit of a dumb question...but I've been seeing the phrase "the story became the story" a lot in the past few weeks on my dash, and I never understood what exactly it means? I think it was mostly on some other blog but I can't seem to find it. Just very confused ^^'

It’s from 9x07:

So, what was that all about, ‘Dee-dawg’?

You remember when we were kids that spring in upstate New York? Dad was on a rugaru hunt. We, uh – we crashed at the, uh … the bungalow colony with the ping-pong table?

Yeah. Uh, y-you disappeared. Dad came back. You were gone. He shipped me off to Bobby’s for a couple months and went and … found you. You were lost on a hunt or something.

THAT’S what we told you. (as if Sam’s story refreshed his memory) Right.

I’m sorry? That’s what you told me?

Truth is, uh… I lost the food money that Dad left for us in a card game. I knew you’d get hungry, so … I tried taking the five-finger discount at the local market and got busted. I wasn’t on a hunt. They sent me to a boys’ home.

A boys’ home, like a … reform school?

Yeah, more or less. It was a farm, and the guy who ran it – Sonny – he, uh, you know, he looked after me.

Hey, Dean … I mean, why didn’t you just tell me you went to a boys’ home?

I don’t know. Uh, it was Dad’s idea. And then it just – you know, the story became the story. I was 16.

I copied most of the exchange (that’s the end of the scene, with Dean using that last line to end the argument) because I think context is sort of important… Basically a lot of meta writers since this episode have picked up on it as a really important phrase to explain a lot of things all round the show, where people have been holding onto ideas and stories which helped but really aren’t that great long term for their development and all.

This one exchange summarises the entire point of this episode before you even get into it, and basically anything where they were holding onto an idea for safety or denial out of their childhood. Most John Winchester focused episodes have an element of it, this is just the most overt (I think it’s the key episode really for all Carver/Dabb era John-related stuff) so it gives us this great line to explain everything.

Now Mary’s back it’s even more critical because it’s basically explaining everything where there’s difficulty communicating, and Mary was still in the “story” up until Toni told her to her face that there was a different truth to the one she’s been clinging to. (I just scrolled past this great gifset with some side by sides

Essentially the entire story of Mary to Sam and Dean has been, well, a story. She has a whole history of being their tragic saintly mother, they never got to knew through anything but hazy memories and stories. Ever since then her image has been challenged, I mean, like, in 1x09 she apologises to Sam for what happened/will happen (not that she remembers this now) - but at the time it showed there was maybe something more to what Mary knew. Still, going back in time and meeting her, whatever we learn that she’s a hunter etc never changes who she IS to Dean and then Sam - they both look at her like she’s a flawless angel and permanently with tears ready to fall just to be in the same room as her.

As much as John stuff has stories that became the story - the things they say to explain how bad it was to themselves, that they can focus on him being a great hunter, a hero who sacrificed himself for them, who had his noble tragic quest to avenge Mary, doesn’t really cover that he neglected them and raised them poorly, messed up, with too many expectations and dangerously. Which again is a theme since season 1 - if nothing else shows it clearly, then 1x18 with John sending Dean to clean up his mess with the striga… Which John blamed Dean for despite him being a kid, it was his fault for messing up the hunt not John’s for expecting this tiny child to protect his brother with a shotgun from a terrible monster. And I’ve never been certain he wasn’t using them as bait if he had left them alone in the same town as the monster knowing its pattern was to feed on kids.

So they have their stories about John - stuff where Dean accepts the blame or things where they can kid themselves it wasn’t all as bad as that, because they DID love him and he loved them and all that stuff is apparently what family does for each other - all the selling their souls etc.

Of course then it turns out Mary was the one who started it not John, which is the narrative asking us to question her, to allow her to be more human, as messed up as them, etc.

But actually having her back is difficult to get over the image, so for them the hurdle with Mary has been seeing past the story that became the story, that she is miserable and human and messed up as well (hence all the drama she’s put them through so far)… And they’re struggling with the image of John, where the story became the story and they haven’t exactly conquered that yet EITHER so asking them to be upfront and comfortable discussing it with Mary? She’s been folded into their perception of John and though they very very gently poked at the idea to start with, she was making essentially the same error as Henry Winchester:

You’re also Winchesters. As long as we’re alive, there’s always hope. [DEAN and SAM look at each other.] I didn’t know my son as a man, but having met you two… [HENRY takes DEAN’s hand with his right hand and holds out his left hand to SAM] …I know I would have been proud of him.

He ALSO read all of John’s journal and was horrified by what had happened to him, but for his own sanity drew a nicer picture of John as a hero and a good man (because, on a cosmic level, he was and his actions were good and he saved people and sold his soul for Dean and didn’t even break in Hell when Dean did, like, what a great guy). Mary as a character with a full season long arc has a chance to learn more and get past that same introduction to what she missed while skipping ahead in the story to what to both Henry and her is essentially after the story ended, and to understand what’s underneath the story - that this upbringing by a crusading hero was not exactly a story of great parenting when it came to her sons. And even the only thing she doesn’t know yet after Toni’s attempt to tell her a version of the truth to upset her is that cupids connected her and John, and that her whole story THERE is also a half-truth because unlike the story Dean told her in 12x01 about how she met John, there is no cute love story - there’s manipulation from Heaven and in the end the same love that made her make that deal wasn’t all her fault because it came from a cupid’s arrow not just from her own heart. And it all “had” to happen because of the apocalypse.

Anyway, that’s the sort of thematic thread that has been running through the entire show but since 9x07 had really easy words to put to it to mean anything where this messed up family has constructed an easier truth over its darkness.

(I have to say as I just watched 10x05 last, I really hated the Winchester Family Story as presented there with them all singing Carry On Wayward Son, and I think it was meant to be fake because Adam was there and they had to ask who he was… But the whole take away from the episode even for the actual Sam and Dean was a very very glossy idea of what they do and how their family is. Works great as a 1 off episode completely in isolation to actually celebrate the show and fandom as we love it, but in context 2 episodes after demon!Dean was laying into Sam about how they were raised and the real dark heart of their family, before trying to kill him…. it’s so fake, and watching those 2 episodes side by side like I did, without the werewolf melodrama in the middle… It’s so obviously a “the story became the story” to smooth over the whole demon!Dean incident so they can function for most of the rest of season 10… If you need another example of seeing it in action :D)

pocket!lock (long post)

because I get irrationally excited at the concept of pocket-sized Sherlock characters :P  this’ll basically be a big disorganized mess of quick ideas and not!fics

  • Molly works so well in my head as a borrower - I can see her making a cozy space for herself in a human’s home, but having a nagging curiosity about the way humans live and think - her very particular interest in science would only grow upon moving into the walls of Sherlock Holmes’ flat, a man she soon realizes isn’t the safest choice for a borrower to be around, but there’s just something about him…
  • pocket!John living in a hospital at one point, getting food from the cafeteria and and getting medical knowledge from observing the listening
  • pocket!Sherlock can’t help but be envious of humans and their ease at getting around- no matter how much he tells himself his body is just transport, things would be much simpler if his transport was bigger
  • Sherlock discovering pocket!Molly after hearing odd shuffling in a cupboard - Molly nearly yelps when light suddenly pours into the dark space, quickly scurrying behind some jars - she’s already been spotted, though, and there’s nothing she can do as long, thin fingers creep into the cupboard and wrap around her - now she really does yelp, feeling the enormous hand around her twitch in surprise, but the grip doesn’t loosen, and she quickly finds herself sailing through the air to meet a pair of gorgeous, terrifying eyes
  • pocket!anyone-you’d-like-to-imagine riding around curled up in Sherlock’s scarf
  • pocket!John living in 221b, fascinated by the strange human living there, and frankly quite jealous of the life he leads - aside from the occasional close call of Sherlock nearly spotting him, his life is dull - sneak out, get food, sneak back in, eat, sleep… dull - so one day, he does something he really shouldn’t do - Sherlock has just accepted a case, and he’s just quickly doing something on his phone before leaving the flat - John is hiding behind some lab equipment on the kitchen table, and his eye catches Sherlock’s coat slung over a chair - he isn’t sure what comes over him, but suddenly he’s running towards the coat, clinging to the sleeve and sliding down to hold onto the cuff - he then slips into the coat pocket, his instincts screaming at him to stop, but the heavy footsteps coming his way tell him there’s no turning back now - he’s jostled around as the coat is lifted and slipped onto the arms of its owner, and he has only a moment of calm before Sherlock is bounding down the stairs and out into the night - the coat flutters around wildly, and a slightly motion sick John almost regrets his decision - excitement quickly overtakes regret, of course
  • pocket!Sherlock always thinking in the back of his mind that eventually he’ll interact with a human - he just wants to avoid the violent ones, the boring ones, or the harmless but idiotic ones who’d treat him like a pet - that accounts for most of humanity in his opinion, and… he wouldn’t admit it, not even fully to himself, but every time he gets close to being spotted or initiating a conversation, something instinctual takes over - he can’t work past the thought of being gawked at and grabbed, losing all control - it unsettles him more than he’d ever acknowledge
  • now going back to the pocket!Molly thing, ‘cause apparently I’m just all over the place - she trembles slightly under the massive fingers pinning her to an equally massive palm, involuntarily clinging to his index finger - Sherlock’s eyes are on her, now having switched from widening in shock to narrowing in an unnerving sort of interest - she feels a bit relieved when his hand tilts slightly and his fingers lift off of her, but when he suddenly pulls her closer to his face, she realizes it was just to get a better look at her - she’s reminded of all the science experiments she’s enjoyed watching him conduct, and feels a bit ill at the realization that she might be a very appealing little test subject - determined not to be a glorified lab rat, Molly opens her mouth, unsure of what she wants to say but knowing she wants to make her status as a person very clear - “I’m Molly,” she says simply, and so quietly she almost wonders if he hears her - but then his eyes focus on her face and widen a bit - still lying flat on his palm, she slowly sits up, craning her neck a bit to keep his gaze - “Sherlock” he replies, and sitting so near to his face, it’s impossible to miss his lips quirking into a brief smile
  • something that always seems very right to me in doing a Sherlock/Borrowers fusion is that Mrs. Hudson just knows about borrowers, and has known about them for pretty much her whole life - so she isn’t the least bit surprised when she spots a small man in a black coat in one of her cupboards, and she lets him go about his business, pretending she didn’t even see him - sometimes she goes to the upstairs flat to tidy up a bit, just to keep it presentable, and eventually she starts noticing little things strewn about the place (or at least small portions of the place) - notes, tiny shoes, and some books splayed out beneath the bookcase, as if pushed off by someone too small to simply pull them out - she realizes the borrower has taken the entire human-sized flat for himself, and her ruse of not noticing him has apparently made him think she won’t notice anything - she takes care of that mistake easily, setting out a plate of small biscuits with a note - Didn’t want to be rude and not welcome my new tenant.  I thought these biscuits would be a good size for a borrower.  - Mrs. Hudson
  • we now return you to pocket!John stowed away in Sherlock’s coat - he peeks outside the pocket whenever he feels it’s safe, marveling at the world he’d only seen glimpses of before - when they arrive at a crime scene, John settles deep into the pocket, not wanting to be spotted by any officers walking about, and it’s then he notices that Sherlock’s sliding magnifier is also occupying the pocket - it’s very likely he’ll use it, and what that means for John is this already cramped space of fabric will be invaded by a human hand searching for a tool but inadvertently making another discovery - he’s quick to grab the magnifier, holding it above himself as he lies down flat - it isn’t long before light streams into the pocket, and long, gloved fingers glide down, reminding John of the doctor’s gloves at the hospital he lived in - the fingers grab the magnifier, curling as they pull it out, and John’s heart skips a beat when knuckles brush against his hands - he relaxes when he feels Sherlock crouch down, probably examining a body, and after a moment risks a quick peek - having lived in a hospital, it’s not the first dead body he’s seen, but it’s a bit jarring - unsurprisingly, Sherlock seems unaffected, though John can barely see his face from the angle he’s at - suddenly, Sherlock stands, rattling off deductions as John recovers from being thrown off balance, clinging to the lip of the pocket and biting his tongue to silence the surprised yelp -
  • (this bit is got waaaay longer than intended so I’m just splitting it up) as the other, grey-haired man in the room responds to the observations, John is taken by surprise again when Sherlock absentmindedly slips the magnifier back in his pocket, the gloved hand forcing him downwards - John can’t help flailing against the hand as he falls, and when he lands on his back at the bottom of the pocket, he stares uneasily up at the still lingering hand - unease turns to panic when the fingers descend, carelessly prodding into him, and he doesn’t quite manage to keep from squirming - the fingers twitch slightly in response, then move to slide underneath him, thumb pressing into the front of him - it’s a gentle squeeze, and as he trembles a bit, John realizes Sherlock is trying to work out what on earth had wriggled inside his pocket - with the way John’s heart is pounding and Sherlock’s thumb is pressed right against his chest, there’s no mistaking him for anything other than a living creature, something that has undoubtedly made Sherlock very curious - the other human says something to Sherlock, momentarily distracting him, and John feels a wave of relief when the hand releases him and leaves the pocket - it isn’t long before Sherlock leaves the crime scene, and John hopes desperately that Sherlock’s mind is so occupied with the case that he won’t even give the mysterious thing in his pocket another thought - fat chance, he thinks, and he’s quite right
  • (I’ve inadvertently started writing an actual fic here, don’t mind me as I split this up again…)  - the hand soon returns, glove removed now, and John can’t do a thing as massive fingers slide under him again, thumb pinning him down as he’s scooped up out of the pocket - he feels his stomach drop, both from being lifted so quickly and from the utter dread at being discovered - without a moment to prepare for it, he stares up at Sherlock’s looming face, framed by dark curls and an upturned collar - if this weren’t so wrong, so terrifying, the look of astonishment in Sherlock’s eyes might have been funny - the towering human breathes out in disbelief, breath clouding in the cold night air, and he brings John closer to his face - piercing eyes study him closely, and a deep voice rumbles, “Impossible…” - the smile following the words gives John a strangely nervous thrill, and as he stares into the fascinated eyes of Sherlock Holmes, a small part of him delights in how very far he is from his previously dreary existence

that’s all for now!  I could totally go on with more thoughts/scenarios, but I’ve already typed out far more than I intended :P

Consequences (BTVS 3.15)

This is part of my ongoing Buffy Project, where I write notes/meta for every episode in an attempt to better understand the characters and themes of the show. You can find the full list here. Gifs are not mine.

Consequences is pretty single-minded in its focus on the fallout from Bad Girls. Buffy is feeling guilty and weighed down by the Deputy Mayor’s death (literally in her dream of drowning). Faith is keeping her from breaking the surface by not allowing them to tell. The body is found and Wesley sends them to investigate what happened.

The way you read both sides of the Faith Goes Dark storyline depends on your personal interpretation of the characters. Personally, I think Faith has too much pride and too little trust to admit to anyone that she did something wrong.

Faith: When you gonna learn, B? It doesn’t matter what kind of “vibe” a person gives off. Nine times out ten the face they’re showing you? It isn’t the real one.

No matter how good or trustworthy a person may seem, Faith doesn’t buy it. People are liars. Faith is kind of obsessed with getting people to admit things about themselves they’d rather not look at, but that’s another essay. In Faith’s mind her good qualities are the ability to remain “five-by-five” and detached. It’s her armor against the world, and taking responsibility would require laying it down. I also think that she senses that, though it could have been Buffy that committed the murder, it wasn’t and that makes all the difference. Killing him lit something in Faith that it wouldn’t have in Buffy; it sent her over the edge. And the other characters sense it too.

Buffy: I am trying to protect you, Faith. If we don’t do the right thing it will only make things worse for you.

Angel: She killed a man. That changes everything for her.

Samurai jack season 5 episode 6

Last nights episode was awesome ! This in my opinion has to be the best season of the whole series, because genndy does it again by blowing us away with another great episode. It’s starts off how the preview starts with the zeppelin flying past a dense forest, and we see ashi looking down from it no doubt thinking of jack and where he went.
Then we see two hooded figures which as expected were the woolies in disguise, talking about how she was aku’s bounty hunter and they were sure it was her. They try to catch her which she easily dodges, say they will not let her hurt the samurai of Ashi is confused but tells them she doesn’t intend to hurt them she just wants to find them because she believes he’s in trouble (he definitely was lol) and they proceed to ask her if she’s a friend of his.
That’s when they finally reveal themselves and tell her the story about how jack save them and their people from slavery, which see an awesome flashback of Jack Kickin ass. Of course this shows ashi that jack has also been a good person, and once she finds out from the captain that Jack was last seen over the area that they were flying over, she thanks them for telling there story and proceeds to jump from the zeppelin and free falls in to the forest below…badass moment.
Now this part confused me because she uses a kusarigama to slow down her fall, which was awesome but where did she get a new one ?!? I know it’s not important but her last one broke lol
Then we find out scaramouche is still alive…he’s just a head but still alive lol so as we expected he decides to go tell a girl that Jack has lost his sword.
Moving on, ashi safety lands into the forest and comes across Beetle drones that have been attacked and sees three figures approaching her distance and fires and arrows at her (a pretty damn strong arrow I might add, it pierced through a goddamn tree 😱) asking if she’s a minion of aku they suggest she’d run but if she’s another then reveal herself. Of course she asked the same question to them as well and they lead her to there village they’ve built, which as a pretty awesome monument of jack. They process to tell her the story on how jack saved their lives and destroyed they evil in the well (which is revealed was Akus doing which I don’t think was established but was implied in the past) then she thanks them for telling their story and moves of to finding him.
We go back to scaramouche where he is board a ship and hitches a ride from a rather… peculiar looking person, we get a funny moment of him saying “woah what a freak, looked like a talking penis” still dying from that 😂
Then we go back to Ashi where she here’s a strange noise coming from the woods which we find out are the ravers jack has saved from aku’s evil DJ. We get an insanely cute moment of Ashi dancing with all of them and having fun I might add, she thanks them for telling their story and leaves. Now we come to a part in the episode where it takes a completely dark turn where Ashi is looking down at a pool of water and gets a flashback of when she was a child and the mother forces them to jump in a pit of hot ashes NAKED saying aku is one with the darkness and so should we and pushes ashi in…..now it dawns on me..she’s been naked the entire time ! And that wasn’t an outfit she had on, it was ashes that was almost permanently seared to her skin 😨….I really, really, REEEEALLY want the high priestess to get her ass kicked or worse because that was brutal and uncalled for.
So then she jumps into the pool of water and proceeds to take rocks and starts rubbing them against her skin and removes the ashes which takes the entire night understandably, then we get a rather….sexy shot of her coming out of the water with a behind the back shot through the waterfall… I got one thing to say that…DAMN THEM CURVES 😍❤️
And we see her wet her hair and let dry naturally, realizing she’s still naked of course she makes a new outfit out of the foliage around her and we get a pretty nice shot of her and her new attire. She’s so damn pretty ! She reminds me of a forest goddess or something. The whole scene is of her being reborn as a new person and leaving the past behind her.
And then we go back to Scaramouche where he spots a telephone both on the boat and decide to make a collect call to aku, however he can’t hear him because the dog people are talking too loud (also nice Easter egg of modeling one of them after Astro from the Jetsons) so of course he starts talking shit and thinks he could just go back in and tell aku what’s going on. Of course that doesn’t happen and the dogs throw him overboard forcing him to find another way to get to aku.
Then we cut back to Ashi that where she stumbles upon a bar thats owned by a very familiar face. We find out it’s actually Sam-moo-rai ! And they continue to tell her that Jack is the toughest “S.O.B around” and we get a random and surprising encounter from an old villain demongo ! Who has returned (after being crushed by aku) to look for the souls of powerful warriors but moves on because he sees he’s in the wrong place.
After seeing she wasn’t getting anywhere with them she moves on and finds a short mysterious women (which reminds me of an owl lol) asking if she’s looking for the samurai and tells her to follow A certain path to find him then disappears and ashi rushes off to find him.
Now, who the hell was that ?! I’m really curious, maybe will find out in a future episode ?
Then as ashi follows the path we see the environment and ambience change instantly as she realizes she May or may not be in the realm of the dead or some kind as she comes across a graveyard and fines Jack and sees that something is clearly wrong and the mysterious Warrior on horseback appears again saying “you may witness but may not proceed any further” she of course replies witness what ? “The end” as the Warriors of the past gather around jack who has a sword in front of him as he lifts the up Ashi’s eyes widen when she realizes he’s about to commit seppuku (A ritual in which a samurai kills him self with a sword because he has now honor left) and begs him to stop. Of course the horseman objects and tells her that “it doesn’t concern her and that there is no hope” but she tries to get through to Jack by telling him that he save the lives of countless people and has inspired them. Then we get some pretty emotional dialogue from her saying how he helped her see the light and made her more than what she was and I hope he gave her saved her life… not going to lie it actually made me tear up a bit and I was kind of expecting her to say “and I love you” in the middle of all that but…. hey there still future episodes for her to say it lol
She eventually reveals to him that the children they saved we’re alive and didn’t die, The horseman fed up with her talking goes to attack her but is then blocked by Jack who has snapped back to reality and defend her by seemingly getting rid of the horseman. Once the Warriors the past realize it wasn’t his time the immediately disappeared. Then we get a cute moment with the two where Jack looks behind him and complements Ashi on her hair and dress and she smiles ❤️ I’ll take it as a romance thing ! lol
Then she asks what’s next and Jack says it’s time to finally get his sword back 🤘🏻✊🏻😆

This was a great episode and really wouldn’t be surprised if Ashi’s feelings towards Jack grows and it she realizes she loves him. I’m sure he’ll take Jack a little longer for him to develop feelings but it’ll ultimately happen I believe 😋👍🏻

The pacing of the episode was really good and the return of all the characters from the previous seasons was heartwarming to see even if one of them was demongo lol
Then we get the preview of the next episode which looks like Jack is going through a spiritual journey to get a sword back while Ashi watches over him. Then we see there is an army approaching and she says where do you think you’re going ? and one of the guy says of the mountain to kill the samurai what it to you ? I’m like… dude really of all the things to say in front of Jack’s future wife your gunna say that ? That’s basically asking for your own funeral lol
Then we get a pretty sweet shot of her sucker punching one of them in the face, I’m over here like
“Fuck yea ! Protect your man ashi !”
It’s still unclear whether or not my prediction will be right or not about them kissing in the next episode, I’m hoping they do. What do I do predict though is well Ashi is fending off the army Jack will get his sword back and fight side-by-side with her.

Goddamn I know the episode was last night but damn I want next Saturday to come already lmao The show is literally what is been getting me through each week of work.

So what did you guys think of the episode last night ?

derek is a high school nerd, stiles is a high school nerd. they are both nerds locked in a forever nerd-rivalry but they can't admit that they are crushing on each other because RIVALRY

I had such an amazing time writing this story for you. I really hope you enjoy it!

A Tentative Truce. Stiles/Derek. Teen.

Stiles and Derek have a long standing rivalry that has extended beyond the Beacon Hills High School theater department to every other area of their high school lives. With the announcement of the winter production, their competitiveness has to be set to the side so the musical can be successful. With a tentative truce in place, Stiles unable to ignore his growing infatuation for his co-star.

“Derek Hales is finally going down!”

Stiles grins triumphantly as he sits down at the lunch table and waves the piece of paper he’s holding in Scott’s face. Oh! Cheetohs. He grabs one from Scott’s plate and munches on it.

Scott chokes on his ham sandwich and stares at Stiles. “Going down?” he asks once he can breathe again. “Like going down on you? I can’t believe you two actually did something about the UST. Damn, I lost the bet because I thought you’d at least make it until Christmas. Mistletoe and senior year seemed a solid bet.”

Stiles frowns. “Bet?” Then he makes a face. “Also eeew. Derek Hale is not getting his scruffy face near my junk, Scotty.”

“That seems to be the problem,” Scott mutters, shaking his head as he takes the paper from Stiles. “I’d even willingly lose the bet if it meant an end to this awkward courtship you’ve got going on with him.”

“If you keep being sassy, I’m totally taking back the best friends forever title and giving it to someone more deserving,” Stiles warns, kicking Scott’s leg beneath the table. “I can’t stand Derek Hale. We’re rivals, Scott, not courting.”

What would you say are the biggest changes to Luffy's character post-ts? I've been trying to put it into words but I can't put my finger on anything.

I don’t think that Luffy’s character has changed very much between pre- and post-time skip. There are some little things that I think are different, which I’ve written about in place like here and here (as of now the anime hasn’t gotten to those scenes yet FYI). But on the whole I don’t think his character has changed very noticeably.

In fact, over the course of the entire series, Luffy’s character has been highly consistent. Luffy is certainly a very multi-faceted character with a wonderful amount of depth to him, but he hasn’t really changed/developed that much between when he set out to sea at the start of the series and now. Most of the character exploration that Luffy has gotten during the series involves his reactions to different kinds of stressful situations. Some of the main ones include:

None of these things really changed Luffy. Not in the long-term at least. Ace’s death was probably the most traumatic experience of Luffy’s life, and it seriously shook him. One of the many scenes that reflects that was Luffy’s cry of “I’m no Pirate King! I’m still… so weak!” Luffy has always been insistent that he’s going to be the one to be the Pirate King, and he’ll fight anyone on a moments notice if they challenge him on that front. It doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran pirate with a bounty triple what Luffy’s is with a far superior Devil Fruit who already kicked Luffy’s ass on another occasion or whatever–Luffy’s confidence in himself and his ability to achieve his goals has always been unshakable. But after Marineford, after Ace died protecting Luffy from an enemy neither of them could stand up against, Luffy recognized just how far away he really was from his dream, and was filled with pain and regret over Ace’s loss, and denounced his earlier confidence in himself.
However, it didn’t stick. Shortly after the time skip, Luffy announced his goal of becoming Pirate King to Rayleigh, signifying that he has regained his confidence and belief in himself. All this certainly was a hell of an experience for Luffy to have gone through, and it explored his character and fleshed him out, but it didn’t change him.

Many shonen stories are about their protagonist changing. Changing for the better to become something more, as a person, than what they started as. A lonely child with no family or friends, growing up through many difficult battles and becoming beloved by his whole village. A kid who starts out powerless in a society full of people with powers, finding out that he too can become a hero. A meek boy who suddenly finds himself thrust into a position of great responsibility that he never asked for slowly growing more and more confident with himself as he overcomes the struggles he is forced to face. Lots and lots of stories in this genera have this kind of underlying theme, explored in a variety of different ways.

But I think One Piece is a little different. One Piece doesn’t really seem to be about Luffy growing, changing, learning new lessons and improving who he is as a person. If anything, One Piece is about a person who is already fine as he is–about a person whose great confidence in himself, his absolute faith in his friends, and his unyielding determination, are the keys he needs to achieve his dreams, and keys that he already holds. Luffy can be pretty darn stupid, impulsive, selfish, gullible, and silly. But none of things are presented as things that he needs to “grow out of.” Of course, Luffy still learns lessons from time to time. He still experiences grave losses that he needs to overcome. And of course, he’s grown tremendously in strength. However, the fundamental parts of his character like his confidence, the ease with which he makes friends, his ability to inspire the people around him, and his conviction have been with him ever since he set out on that tiny little boat from Foosha Village without a single crew mate or a single beli to his name. Just look at what was going on at the very, very start of the series

And at the Baratie, Sanji started off as a character who believed that it was stupid to follow your dreams if it meant risking your life

But Luffy demonstrated to Sanji, with a bit of explanatory help from Zeff, that confidence and resolve can be even more powerful than an entire fleet and a massive array of shiny weapons:

But you know, Sanji… No matter how many hundreds of weapons or armor one is equipped with, they’re no match for that ‘one special spear’ that comes from your guts… On the pirates’ battlefield where life and death are decided, the one who fears death and hesitates for even an instant shall fall to their doom. Within that boy, if nothing else…

And by the end of the battle, Luffy had changed Sanji’s understanding of the subject and left quite an impression on him

Luffy’s confidence is meant to be inspirational–his conviction, his resolve, his determination–has been a force of good for many of the struggling people he has met. Coby, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Brook, and plenty more. Luffy has provided an example to others that has given them the confidence to do the things they never believed they could, such as become a Marine, set out to sea in pursuit of their dreams, and find new hope when they believed they had lost everything. Luffy isn’t so much a character that learns how to be great, but a character that inspires others to live up to the greatness that everyone has the potential for. Luffy has arguably always had what it takes to be Pirate King, has always deserved, flaws and all, to achieve his dream. The story isn’t so much about Luffy changing in order to become a better, different person, but about him fighting to achieve and earn his dream while remaining true to the person he is in the face of adversity, and serving as an example to others in the process.

I Can't Stand You! Pt. 6

Title: I Can’t Stand You! Series

Author: Me

Rating: PG-13

Multi-shot: yes

Requested by: Anon

Warnings: Smut, rough smut

Summary: After a worried Spencer spent the entirety of the case hovering over you, for the first day at least, Hotch decides that you’d be safer staying behind the scenes and are tasked with JJ’s old duties. After Spencer’s worrying and smothering puts the team on edge on terms of your safety, you chew him out and he apologizes by fucking you until you forgive him. Then fluffier smut ensues, and a brief time skip.

This is actually harder to write as I do more parts so this may be the last part, there may be a part 7, it depends on how this is received and how much my brain can come up with lol. I really wasn’t expecting for this to have more than 3 parts max but now it has 6 parts like I am proud of this so thank you all for sticking with me throughout this whole fic and for standing by me throughout the entirety of that plagiarism melodrama (which was a load of bullshit, idgaf). So yeah. Thank you, cherubs. Enjoy.

In case you need it: Part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 5.

“I can’t believe you, Spencer!” You shouted, slamming the door to the hotel room you were sharing. You dropped your go bag onto the bed, and sighed in aggravation, flopping onto the bed beside it.

“I’m sorry, Ladybug. I can’t help it! I don’t want anything happening to you or the baby.”

All day, you’d had to worry about Spencer hovering over you, breathing down your neck. It had gotten so bad, that he insisted on going with you for simple interviews. It was so bad, that even your teammates had been put on edge and started worrying about you and your safety. It was beginning to hinder your productivity, and with your hormones all over the place, the extra stress wasn’t helping.

Eventually, Hotch decided that the best thing to do was keep you behind the scenes. That decision was enough to put the minds if both your teammates and your fiancé at ease. After a suggestion from JJ, you were tasked with the duties of her job before she’d become a profiler. You were glad you’d still be able to work and help, but the smothering from Spencer had irked you. Even more so because you didn’t like worrying your other teammates.

“Spencer, you spent all day hovering over me! You got the entire team on edge and everybody lost focus, so Hotch had to bench me!” You shouted, standing up. “So not only did you stress me out, you stressed out the entire team, who further stressed me out. Do you know what happens when you stress out a pregnant woman?!”

You were bordering on hysterical from being so aggravated. Your breathing was heavy and your nostrils were flaring. Spencer watched your expression before his own became apologetic. He walked over and cupped your face, pulling you towards him.

“Hey, hey, deep breaths alright? I’m sorry, you’re right. I shouldn’t have been hovering over you like that. I just love you and our baby so so much and the thought of anything happening to either of you….,” he shook his head and kissed your forehead. “I couldn’t bear the thought and it made me more than a little crazy. I overreacted, okay?” He continued softly, looking down at you. “I’m sorry.”

You huffed stubbornly, folding your arms across your chest. Despite still being annoyed, you leaned against his chest anyway.

“Oh no you don’t,” he said, tilting your face up to look at him. “I’m not letting you go to bed mad at me.”

“Spence, I appreciate the apology, and I accept it, but I’m not -,“

“Yes you are. And that’s unacceptable.” He pressed his lips to yours in a hungry kiss, gently pushing you down on the bed.

“Spencer,” you moaned as he started kissing down your neck. “Spence, we have to go to sleep…,” you breathed. You gently pushed at his shoulders, trying to move him off of you. It was unconvincing, as a part of you was hormonally horny, even though you were angry. You didn’t really try to fight him and eventually you just laid back and let him kiss down your body, undoing your pants and pulling them down.

“I’m not stopping until you relax. You were right,” he started as he kissed up your inner thigh. “You are stressed, and you’re also mad at me.” He hooked his thumbs into your panties, kissing just above your pussy as he pulled them down. “And I intend to make your pussy sing until you forgive me.”

He then plunged two fingers inside you and pumped, fingering deep with each thrust of his fingers. Your moans filled the room as he sucked your throbbing clit, your pussy shamelessly dripping around his long fingers.

“Dear God…Spencer! Please!” You begged, bucking your hips.

“That’s it, baby girl,” her purred against your sensitive bundle of nerves, pushing his fingers in you deeper. “Scream my name. Let me hear it.”

Your breathing picked up as his fingers sped up. He reached around you and sat you up, kissing your lips to silence your whines and screams. His hand moved as your grinded your hips, his palm pressing on your clit. His hand reached up to unbutton your blouse.

“Take your blouse off,” he muttered against your lips.

You nodded and pulled the blouse off your shoulders, tossing it to the side. You shuddered as his fingers brushed your spot, spreading your legs as he unhooked and removed your bra in no more than three movements.

“Good girl,” he purred. He laid you back down and palmed one of your breasts, his mouth latching onto the nipple of the other. His tongue swirled as his fingers pinched and rolled. You grinded your hips again, covering your mouth to muffle your cries and moans as he flicked his wrist and thrusted his fingers deep into you. Your hips bucked as your walls clenched.

“Tell me you forgive me.”

Instead of a response, you just tangled your hands in his hair and tugged, grinding your hips into his hand and moaning as his palm pressed harder on your clit.

“Spencer, yes!” you cried, throwing your head back and arching off the bed, trembling and cumming hard around his fingers.

“That’s it…cum around my fingers, Ladybug,” he purred. “Good girl, cum for me.” He talked you through your orgasm, his fingers slowing and stroking in you soothingly until you were panting on the bed.

“Just because I came doesn’t mean you’re forgiven. It just means that felt amazing,” you replied stubbornly.

“Wrong answer.” He gripped your thighs and picked you up, moving you up on the bed and laying you down so your head was on the pillow.

“Spence -,” you were cut off by his tongue flooding your mouth, trapping you in a hard, passionate kiss. You heard the sound of his belt buckle as he worked at it, and the zip of his pants as he undid it. You reached up to unbutton his shirt, but he grabbed your wrists and flung them away.

“No,” he said forcefully. You nodded, your breathing picking up as he undressed himself. After a moment or so, his clothes were a rumpled heap on the floor with yours.

He gripped your thighs again and spread your legs, rubbing his tip on your slit. “I’m going to make you forgive me, baby girl,” he mumbled.

Without warning, he thrusted hard into your dripping pussy, your walls soaked. He groaned when your walls clenched on him and you moaned loudly, arching your back. He took the opportunity to wrap an arm around your waist and pull you to his chest. His head dropped to your neck, where you felt him groan against your skin as he thrusted into you.

It was slow at first, hard and soothing, the way he moved in you. But he quickly picked up speed until his hardened member was rushing into you. His tip hit your spot with each thrust as he shoved himself into you. Your arm wrapped itself tightly around his neck and your hand tangled in his hair, gripping it tightly. He pulled your legs up around his waist and you tightened them around him.

“Good girl,” he groaned, moving his hands from your thighs to grip the sheets. He thrusts went deeper and he hit your inner sweet spot harder with each thrust. His movements were quick while he stroked inside you, the wet sounds of skin smacking on skin filling the room. Accompaning your cries and loud moans, we’re his grunts and groans while he moved in you.

You felt your body start to tremble and shake as he kept increasing his speed and intensity, his thrusts precise and rough, yet desperate and sloppy.

“S-spence…Spencer!” You cried out, pressing yourself into him.

“Say it, baby. Say it!” He groaned in your ear.

Your walls tightened and clenched around his throbbing length. You whined and shrieked, the sounds erotic as you arched off the bed again.

“S-spence! I…I forgive you! I forgive you!” You screamed, throwing your head back as you came, your orgasm blinding as it hit you.

“Yes!” Reid grunted. “Yes, fuck, (y/n). Cum all over me…,” he groaned, loud and slow, as he came deep in you.

You panted and relaxed back on the bed, exhaling sharply as his movements slowed to a stop, his drenched forehead pressed to yours.

“You okay?” He panted. “Was I too rough?” He reached down to soothingly rub your tummy.

“Not at all,” you said with a shake of your head. “I’m alright, baby.”

“Good. Still mad?”

“No where near it.”

“Then let’s make it entirely.” He slowly peeled your legs from around your waist, resting them back on the bed. His arms wrapped around your waist again as he started slowly stroking in you once again.

“Oh, Spencer.”

~ 3 Months Later ~

“Take a deep breath, it’s almost time,” JJ said, helping you adjust your veil.

You nodded, taking a deep breath to try and calm your nerves. Three months ago, when you’d found out you were pregnant you remembered JJ saying similar things to you. To just take a deep breath and know things would be okay.

Your worries had all but disappeared when Spencer proposed, which you’d decided was a good time to tell him you were pregnant. Everything had happened so fast for you, it was starting to make your head spin. You knew JJ’s calming words were in part to keep you from throwing up.

And now three months later, you were standing in a wedding gown, waiting with your bridal party. You’d wanted to have the wedding before you gave birth and before you started showing, so with the help of JJ, Emily, and especially Penelope, you’d planned a wedding at warp speed.

It was exactly why you’d chosen the three of them to be your bridesmaids, along with your sister as the maid of honor.

“Ladies,” your dad said as he peeked into the room. “Are you ready?”

“Yeah, Dad,” you responded.

“Alright,” he said, walking over to take your arm as your sister handed you your bouquet. “Then let’s get you married.”

And in the next couple of minutes, you didn’t really remember much of what happened. Before you knew it, the doors opened and you looked up to see everyone in the room standing and staring back at you. You saw Spencer up front fiddling with his tie, which he put an end to when Derek clapped him on the shoulder and nodded in your direction.

You’d already started walking by then, and you could feel tears sting at your eyes when you saw the way Spencer looked at you. His eyes went wide and his face went white. He covered his mouth as a couple of tears rolled down his cheeks. And it was in that moment you were especially glad you’d decided on waterproof makeup, because you couldn’t stop the couple of tears that came down your face from his reaction to the sight of you.

Thankfully, you’d both managed to pull yourselves together by the time your dad had passed you off. You handed the bouquet to your sister before letting Spencer take your hands in his.

“Dearly beloved,” you just barely heard the priest start, too wrapped up in Spencer’s eyes to pay more than minimal attention. “We are gathered here today to celebrate the joining of these two people’s, (y/f/n) (y/l/n) and Dr. Spencer Reid….,”

~ 5 months later ~

“Spencer!” You called, sitting on the couch.

“I’m coming, I’m coming,” he said from the kitchen.

In the last month of your pregnancy, Spencer had decided to stay home with you. Even though you were fine with going to work and your new duties, Spencer wasn’t having any of it. So you’d, semi-unwillingly, taken the maternity leave and Spencer had insisted on staying with you during that time.

Hotch had been really cooperative with your situation and you really appreciated him being so lenient.

As of right now, you were more than a little annoyed and very uncomfortable. You were due any day now and with your hormones all over the place, you felt awful for Spencer. Your poor, sweet husband was trying his hardest to keep you happy and comfortable. It wasn’t easy, but you really appreciated his effort.

“Here you go, sorry I took so long,” he said as he took a seat next to you. He placed a tray of food in your lap and picked up the plate, holding it up to you.

“Thanks, sweetie.” You took the plate from him and leaned over to kiss his cheek, grateful he met you more than halfway so you didn’t have to get out of the position you were very comfortable in. He’d heated up some lasagna he’d made last night, like you asked, and poured you some orange juice.

“Anything for my number one girl,” he said, planting a kiss to your forehead. He rested a hand on your massive stomach and rubbed in slow circles.

“You excited?” You asked around a mouthful of lasagna.

“Are you ready?”

“I don’t think I’ll ever fully be ready. But I’m definitely going to fake being fully ready until I get there.”

“I’m not sure if I like that answer,” you snickered.

He laughed and kissed your temple, lifting the glass to your lips. “Drink slow so you don’t choke, please.”

You nodded and let him help you wash down all that lasagna with orange juice.

Later that night, after plenty of fussing over you and Spencer helping you find a comfortable position to sleep in, you felt a kick in your stomach. You felt them a lot the past couple of weeks but this one was strong and less like a kick and more like a sharp pain.

You winced and inhaled sharply, the pain waking you up. At first, it was nothing to you. But then you felt it again, stronger this time and you cried out, sitting up and putting a hand on your stomach.

The sounds of you in pain woke your always worried husband. He sat up and put a gentle hand on your back.

“What’s wrong? Is something wrong? Are you hurt?” He fussed, putting a hand on your stomach.

“Spencer, baby, breathe. I’m fine, I just…,” you trailed off and looked down at the sheets, now soaking wet. “Yep. My water just broke. I’m in labor.”

~ 6 hours later ~

The next thing you knew, you were in the hospital. After a bit of freaking out from Spencer and a frantic call to your parents, you had gotten to the hospital just fine. Now you were waiting. The labor pains had gotten worse and you were more than ready to get this baby out of you. Spencer held your hand the entire time and didn’t even wince when you squeezed so tight you thought you’d break a bone.

Your mother rushed into the room a few hours later, just as they’d decided to administer the epidural.

“Mommy,” you whimpered, prompting her to pull you in for a gentle hug.

“It’s alright sweetie, you’re gonna do just fine. Momma’s here now.”

She took your other hand after pulling out of the hug. You had to admit, the fact this was your first baby and the fact it was going to be painful terrified you. But you were able to relax a little now that you had your mother and your husband at your side.

The excruciating pain was reduced to mild discomfort once the epidural kicked in, which you were thankful for. Your mother rubbed your back soothingly and Spencer stroked your hair and helped adjust you so you stayed as comfortable as possible.

You weren’t sure how much longer you’d had to wait, but it was definitely a couple of hours before the doctor had to stop the epidural. That meant it’d be time to push soon and soon your baby girl or boy would be here.

It didn’t take long, you assumed, for the doctor to come back and tell you that you were to start pushing on the next contraction. The words made your heart race and your gripped the hands you were holding tighter.

“Spencer,” you whimpered as the pain started coming back. He gripped your hand tightly, holding it to his heart and bent down to press his forehead to yours. “Spence,” you said, more softly this time. “I’m scared.”

“I know, baby. Don’t worry, I’m here. I’m right here with you, you’re gonna do great. Just keep those pretty (y/e/c) eyes on me, okay?”

You nodded, crying out as the next contraction hit. The next thing you heard was the voice of the doctor saying, “Alright Mrs. Reid, push!”

~ 3 days later ~

You were a mother and a wife now, and you could happily admit that taking down an UnSub was not the hardest, or scariest, thing ever. After you’d given birth, labor seemed much harder and you couldn’t help but feel like your job seemed a lot less frightening and yet so much more dangerous.

It hadn’t been easy, in fact it had been the exact opposite, but after hours of discomfort and excuriating pain, you’d finally given birth to your healthy baby girl. You successfully brought her into the world, with you mother and husband by your side to coach and talk you through it.

You were walking out of the hospital now, and Spencer was carrying the sleeping baby in her car seat. He’d done so well with you in the delivery room. From his soothing words, doing the best he could to help you stay comfortable, even managing your unwarranted insults, anger, and jaws-of-life death grip on his hand. Even just keeping you company to distract you from labor pains and discomfort. He’d done such a wonderful job and you were do glad he’d fathered your first child, and even more glad you chose to marry him.

He’d insisted on carrying the baby out of the hospital because he hadn’t wanted you to start putting too much strain on your body. Even though you felt fine, you knew he was right and that you needed to take it easy, even if only a little. After how well he’d done with you the past few hours, you’d decided you didn’t need to argue with him on this one. He even cut the baby’s umbilical cord, practically insisted on doing so. And you were beyond grateful for him, which is all you thought about during the car ride home.

You’d been so focused during the car ride home, on the baby and on Spencer, that it hadn’t occurred to you you’d be coming home to anything. So your level of shock was immense when you came home to hear a group of people shout “surprise!” as soon as you waked through the door.

You looked up to see your team standing there, a huge “welcome home” banner hanging, along with streamers and baby items nearly organized throughout the kitchen. You’d asked that they wait a little while before coming to see you or the new baby, and the surprise was just that. A surprise.

You were especially appreciative of their mindfulness, as they hadn’t actually shouted. It was more of an aggressive whisper. They clearly didn’t want to wake the baby, and you were glad for that.

Carrying the sleeping little girl in your arms, Spencer closed the door behind you guys and you were met with gentle side hugs and quiet, excited talking as everyone crowded around, clearly anxious to get their first look at the new baby.

“Guys, guys. Back up, please. Give us some air,” you joked quietly. Your teammates chuckled and backed away to give you guys some space.

“So what did you guys name her?” Garcia asked excitedly.

You exchanged a happy look with Reid before addressing the rest of them. “We decided we wanted to name her after her godmother, and decided on….,” you paused, happily taking in the anticipated expressions on the faces of all 6 people in the room. “Brielle Jennifer Reid.”

You eyed JJ, watching her expression as you said the name. She teared up, her face becoming overwhelmed with emotion.

“You…you named her after me? You want me as her godmother?” She said softly.

“Of course. I mean, I remember how I felt when you asked me to be Henry’s godfather. And, well, you helped (y/n) a lot these past few months -,”

“The past year,” you cut in. “You all have. You’ve all helped me so…so much, but JJ…I felt like JJ deserved it the most. And we want Morgan to be the Godfather.”

“As long as you name the next one Derek,” he said with a grin.

“Deal,” you laughed. “JJ? What do you say?”

“Oh my gosh….can I hold her? I washed my hands before you guys got back and I keep sanitizer in my bag.”

“Of course you can hold her,” you responded before gently placing her in JJ’s arms.

Spencer wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you close, the two of you watching proudly as JJ went to sit down on the couch, carefully and expertly cradling your infant daughter.

“And don’t worry,” you said. “We’ll make sure everyone gets a chance to hold her before they go home today. But I don’t want her getting passed off too quickly. She’s a baby, not a football.”

You smiled as everyone laughed, even though they were all aware how serious you were. You looked up at Spence, your arm around his waist now. He bent down ever so slightly to press a soft kiss to your lips.

“Thank you.”

“What for?”

“For doing so well with me in the delivery room the other day. For loving me and marrying me. For everything.”

“I should be thanking you, but I think we’ve both given each other everything. So you’re welcome.”

“I can’t stand you, Spencer Reid,” you said with said grin, gently nudging his side.

“And I can’t stand you either (y/f/n) Reid.”

I can’t deny it anymore (Part 2) Tom Cavanagh/Harrison Wells x OC Reader

Prompt: Hiii! Can I please request a Tom Cav imagine where he and y/n are on the flash and they’re filming and one of them accidentally says the others name during a romantic scene instead of the characters name and they get so lost in the moment they forget they’re filming? Thanks!!
This is just a really short conclusion to a previous post since i had two requests that were quite similar, you can read part 1 here
Word count: 429

The two of you walked over to the set preparing for your scene. Grant, Candice and Danielle were already over there, beaming with joy, their plan had worked!
“Okay, markers everyone!” the director called.

You and Tom dived straight into your scene, Harrison Wells was just about to confess his love for your character.
This was the first time you had gone through the scene so you were both acting with scripts in your hands. “Please don’t walk away from me”
You were walking away, looking down at your script to check your line, “Why not? I’m not needed here, I just want to go home” you looked up
“But I need you”
“What for? What could I possibly do here?”
Tom checked his script. “No, I need you” he headed over to you, “I’ll always need you y/n, you’re so important to me”
You realised his mistake, he had said YOUR name rather than your characters name. He carried on with the scene despite the look on your face telling him that he’d made a mistake.
Tom put a hand to your cheek, “this whole thing has been for you” he sighed before leaning in to kiss you.
“CUT” shouted the director, it had all happened so quickly that he hadn’t had time to react.

You looked at Tom, taking an extended blink, he grinned at you.
“Okay guys that was great but erm,” The director looked at Tom “you know what you did right?”
“Oh, I’m aware” Tom couldn’t help but smile.
After a talking to from the director, you both agreed that you wouldn’t get personal feelings involved and continued like the professionals you are.

After you’d wrapped for the day, you headed back to your trailer. It was a beautiful day so you walked relatively slowly, soaking up as much sun as you could. Out of nowhere there was a hand on your shoulder, it was Tom. He had jogged after you, catching you just before you got to your trailer.
“So” he said, as you turned around.
“So” you replied with a smile
“Do you maybe want to get dinner tonight?” he asked, unusually shyly.
“I’d love to,” you replied, his face lit up “but i can’t, not tonight, I have plans with a couple of girlfriends tonight.” It hurt you to reject him. “How about tomorrow?” you asked with a smile.
“Sounds perfect” he replied, kissing your cheek and then immediately regretting it. He looked at you to gauge your reaction.
You smiled up at him, letting him know that everything was alright.

But some boys they just can't eat it whole.

So this is a bisexual Pearl/lesbian Violet fic that I’ve been playing about with. It’s smut and fluffy and hopefully you guys like it! Please excuse any formatting fuck-ups, I wrote this on my phone smh. I’m also going to be writing a lesbian Trixya so keep an eye out - Vixen (your friendly neighbourhood admin)

Stuckony prompt? Super soldiers keep using their Brooklyn charm on Tony who can't help but blush because they are way to hot and sincere.

I live for Stuckony tbh

Steve and Bucky came as a package deal. Everyone knew this, the media, the team and basically anyone who watched them for more than five minutes. Thankfully, this closeness resulted in the duo having very similar tastes; In food, in literature and especially in their partners. The common factor in all their past lovers had been a fiery attitude, a quick wit and a sharp mind. And hell if the snarky genius who never backed down from anything didn’t tick every single box.

Tony Stark however was a man who enjoyed many things, especially the finer things in life. He enjoyed fancy rooftop dinners, exotic islands and equally exotic partners. Anything that took him away from his mind for a while. So when the team realised Tony had quite the thing for accents, well it wasn’t a surprise. But once an Italian man had charmed Tony with sweet compliments in a sweet accent enough to warrant a blush, a plan had been formulated.

At first, the soldiers thought it was just an accent that got Tony flushed and smiling- a look they wanted to see him wear more than his fancy suits, no matter how well they suited him. Bucky was especially good at dropping into his thick Brooklyn accent around Tony, so much so it seemed natural.

“Sure you don’t needa hand liftin’ that? Sure looks heavy for a little fella.”

“I’m not weak, Barnes.” Tony had snapped, batting Bucky’s hands away from the two boxes of parts he was carrying. It wasn’t until Steve spoke they realised what they should have been doing the whole time.

“Hey sugar, he didn’t mean nothin’. Just didn’t want a sweet guy like you getting hurt.” It had been a matter of seconds before Tony was red down to his neck and stumbling over his words.

“Oh…well I…thanks I mean, but I uh, I guess you could take the top box, if you really wanted.” He smiled at Steve, looking everywhere but his eyes. Behind him Bucky grinned.

Tony Stark- billionaire, genius and hero- turned to mush at compliments.
