i honestly don't think i could love a character more

I know we're all are on tony defend squad but wdy think about Steve? I know in the mcu he's a shit but in other universes? And about Chris Evans? You don't have to answer ofc but I just wanted ur insight on this, I like the stuff u post :)

WHAT DO I THINK ABOUT STEVE LMAO AIN’T THAT THE QUESTION ANON.

Okay.

so.

Okay.

From a lot of what I post, you would probably think I dislike Steve. Honestly, right now I’m going through EXTREME STARKQUILL/GUARDIANS FUCKING OFF INTO SPACE WITH TONY/ BITTER TONY moods, and so…

There’s a lot of shade being thrown in Steve’s direction.

But listen. Okay. I LOVE STEVE. I DO. I mean MCU Steve is, in my opinion, a very wobbly character, who could have been done so much more in-depth and meaningfully than what we got.

Like, for starters, his relationship with Tony is just. What. Where are the sly sex jokes and secret passwords @? All we got was Steve being a bit of a prick to him as soon as he laid eyes on the guy, and then a continuation of that, manifesting itself through judgment and lack of trust. which is completely OOC for the Steve we know and love.

Secondly, the whole Civil War argument was just turned into Saving Bucky Barnes, The Saga- which is totally not what happened in the comics at all, and made everything he did and said so shallow, because we knew he was just fighting for his bestie.

But yeah I mean aside from occasional moments (CATWS I thought did a pretty good job overall with him), I… I gotta say MCU Steve Is Not For Me.

But?? I HONESTLY LOVE HIM.

BURIED SOMEWHERE. UNDERNEATH THE BITTERNESS AND ANGER THAT RESIDES FROM CIVIL WAR, HE IS SUCH A GOOD BOY. i think it’s just… it’s very difficult to really place a specific set of characteristics for him, purely because of that fact that every writer does him differently. Some (hey Nick) write him like utter shit and make me want to burn out my retinas- some write him in what I consider to be perfectly in character (hey AA writers).

I mean AA Steve is my dad. End of. He’s number one. You don’t get better than AA Steve.

(Plus he and Tony are just. married. so that sweetens the deal a lot)

But like I said, it’s all about personal preference. Some are gonna be reading this like ???? Steve was perfectly in character in CW wdym???? and some are gonna be relating a lot. But for me, the Steve I know and love is the guy who believes in his team- the guy who is sly and dry-witted and unconditionally selfless.

And who fuckin treats Tony like he deserves. But whatever.

so like i said- AA Steve is the winner for me, purely because he’s very consistent and pretty much ticks off everything I just listed a few seconds ago. Comic Steve- when not a nazi- is, as far as i gathered, a pretty cool dude? Although I don’t read comics with him, he seems to have his head screwed on straight. MCU Steve is Very Much Average And Inconsistent, plus he highkey mistreated Tony, which is a Large Offence for me, not to mention OOC.

BUT WHEN I SAY STEVE CAN CHOKE. OR THE AVENGERS. I DON’T MEAN IT. I’M ANGRY AND I HATE THEM BUT I LOV THEM. THEY DESERVED BETTER CHARACTERISATION THAN WHAT THEY GOT AND I WILL BE. ETERNALLY BITTER. I WANTED A TEAM FAMILY. I WANTED A GROUP THAT CARED FOR ONE ANOTHER. I WANTED A STEVE WHO WASN’T JUST LOWKEY AN ASSHOLE. I WANTED THE FUCKING FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN TONY AND STEVE TO BE AS MEANINGFUL AND DEEP AS IT HAD BEEN IN THE COMICS. I’M JUST SORRY ABOUT WHAT THEY DID TO YOU BABES. I’M SORRY. YOU WERE ROBBED

honestly… les mis is definitely one of my favorite musicals, and i do love it as a whole, but i must admit that i never quite got why the fans were so into the revolution plot.

i mean, it’s good, i like it, but for me, the strongest part of les mis is the pre-(second)time skip part.  like… from the beginning up until fantine dies and valjean escapes from javert with cosette. that’s the part that’s solid gold, to me.

I like Rebecca but honestly they need to sort out the consistency problems with her character because half the time I don’t know what her motives are or what she’s thinking, and I’m actually a Rebecca fan who looks for that sort of thing. The writing is getting so shoddy that people are making theories that she’s an evil mastermind who lied about everything, and the truth is that isn’t even an impossible theory based on what we’ve been given. We’re so in the dark about Rebecca as a character that those theories could possibly make sense. Look, Rebecca is in her 30s. She’s a woman of the world, well-travelled, independent (supposedly). Will they actually give her some agency in this storyline please, because (as a feminist) it’s getting hard to watch a fully grown woman being written as a walking womb who has no control over her own destiny. Also I think  this lack of agency is contributing to some female fans taking an intense dislike for Rebecca, and I think that’s a shame. If they’d only give her scenes of her own where she could establish a set personality and casual viewers could get to know her, then I feel like she’d be a more successful character for the show.  I don’t think the only reason she’s not going down well is the Robron thing. That’s a biphobic shambles as well, but honestly, please Emmerdale give Emily Head some good material to get her teeth into. She’s so much better than what she’s being given right now.

Wishes for Kairi in kh3?

Hihi! ^-^

Hmm. Honestly, I have a lot of wishes for Kairi in KH3.

  • Playable character (What if kh3 was like BBS? In which you could chose which character you want to play as? I would honestly love that!)
  • MORE LINES/SCREEN TIME. (PLS)
  • Lea/Kairi training (I don’t mind watching a cutscene about them training and seeing my bby become stronger).
  • More Sora/Kairi/Riku interactions (I miss watching my cute Destiny trio babies, tbh ;_;)
  • Kairi saving her friends (Like protecting Sora when he’s down or something. IDK)

That’s all I can think of. haha. All in all, I want Kairi to have a bigger role in KH3! I want to know more about her and have more interactions with Sora/Riku! :).

After I read Cersei's walk of atonement she became my favorite character ever. I read a lot in your blog that Carol is a different character than Cersei, but honestly, I don't really see the difference. Since I'm in love with Cersei and want to understand her, could you elaborate a bit more about the differences between show!Cersei and book!Cersei? I love you posts, by the way.

I LOVE Cersei too. Not as a person though, as a literary character.

Carol is a completely different character in my mind. In an odd way, she’s almost like what Cersei thinks she is. She struggling against all those assholes who disrespect her because she’s a woman. Her brother/lover is useless and dense no matter how much she patiently explains things to him. Margaery is a scheming manipulator who’s consciously trying to take Tommen away from her, just out of spite. There is no one she can trust around her, she’s better off ruling on her own.

But whereas Cersei is so myopic it boarders on delusional, and paranoid that everyone is against her, it’s hard to fault Carol for anything. Like, Kevan IS an misogynistic asshole, Myrcella IS being obviously threatened, Margaery IS a catty Mean Girl who’s manipulating her son for her own catty purposes and wants to send her to a retirement home. She is never shown to be short sighted. Remember how in 4x04 she dealt with the problem of the Iron Bank demanding its money and got rid of Mace Tyrell in one smooth move. Brilliant! Like, actually.

(And then she rearms the Faith Taliban for… reasons. But that was so random and came so out of nowhere, it’s hard to comment on or call it out of character. It was just bad writing.)

Carol had no blood on her hands. Cersei was literally participating in torture sessions and assassinating the pope. And even when Carol does something, like cause poor random little people to be decapitated by randos, she’s so super understanding about their failure. “Mistakes will be made,” she says.

And for a show that jumps at the chance to sexualizes everyone and everything, Carol is oddly desexualized. Cersei’s hamfisted and hateful use of sex to manipulate men is entirely absent. Like, they had to go all the way back to the first season when she had sad sex with Lancel that one time in order to find a reason to slut shame her. And, of course, Cersei didn’t in anyway deserve to be slut shamed either, but they just made to situation so comically Black and White with the poor lonely single mom and the evil religious fanatics persecuting her, that it was… comical.

Carol is in many ways actually a good character, but she is NOT Cersei Lannister.

hello mandy how are u ? Concerning the wedding in OUAT. Who would make the more sense to get married in the finale? I want a Rumbelle wedding. I don't want the other two to get married already. Where would be the fun in that.

Hi! I’m doing okay. Hope you’re well too, Anon.

Honestly, I think people are over thinking it. This is a show about fairy tale characters. Fairy tale characters find true love in the span of a 90-minute movie or a short story. So for me, it’s not that crazy that any of the couples could end up married at the end of the season.

If this was a soapy drama like Revenge or Scandal, I’d be crossing my fingers that my favorite couple wasn’t getting married because they’d end up divorced by next season. But this is OUAT. How long were Snow and Charming actually together before they got married?

Fairy tale characters know it’s true love from a kiss. They’re good.
