I’m going to be honest, it baffles me that some people were so quick to defend Harry after what he said in the interview.
For the record, I don’t think what bothered most people was the “nobody wants to be King” stuff (even tho, it would have been nice if he didn’t talk for everybody else). The bigger problem was the “we, overprivileged people… doing you all a favour by taking the job… poor us…”. He totally sounded like a pretentious brat. No excuses. He is fifth in line, he can totally walk away when he wants and take a job like everybody else. Or is it that taking an actual job is not an option?
Look at the difference to what Victoria said the exact same day. That’s what I call a total understanding of her job and role. Somebody who understands that she is a public servant and an employee and isn’t being all “feel sorry for us” in the middle of a crisis.
