i have to finish this before the school starts

ways to stay productive in summer-

1. learn a new language-

ah, all the time in the world we all have during summer! currently, i’m trying to learn Italian, which isn’t too hard because my first language was Spanish. if you all want a different post on how i got started tell me!

2. start a bullet journal-

with no school in your schedule, you have time to make your bullet journal as complicated or as simple as you’d like. i recently bought a journal and used it as a bujo. i love it!

3. practice your handwriting-

i know many people hate their own handwriting, but how are you going to like it if you don’t practice! i’ve changed my handwriting completely this summer. if you guys want a post about it let me know.

4. make a studyblr/blog-

that’s what i did! i’ve started my studyblr, instagram, and blog (all are linked on my tumblr page ;) )

5. practice calligraphy-

i’ve learned how to do calligraphy with Crayola markers. it’s very easy once you get the hang of it. There are plenty of tutorials online.

6. clean your room-

it’s a great time to clean your room! i know when it’s the school year i never have time to be cleaning my room. you can do a deep decluttering because you probabaly haven’t in a while…

7. DO YOUR SUMMER HOMEWORK-

please for the love of god, do! your! summer! homework! if! you! have! it! i finished my summer homework a couple weeks ago, but my friends still haven’t started. i’m saving their butts by helping them with it. i know plenty of people are going to start doing it two days before school starts. please don’t be one of those people.

8.read!-

i know a lot of people don’t like to read but maybe with your summer boredom you’ll get so bored that you’ll want to read? currently, i’m reading Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare.

9. try to prepare for the upcoming school year-

look up your classes and research about them. it’s good to start preparing for what you’re going to learn. it helps so when you go over those subjects in class, you can excel in it ;)

10. relax-

this is summer. your free time. relax and get ready for another stressful school year <3

another meme i won’t finish: movies [9 of ∞] → the perks of being a wallflower
“I don’t know if I will have the time to write any more letters because I might be too busy trying to participate. So if this does end up being the last letter, I just want you to know that I was in a bad place before I started high school, and you helped me. Even if you didn’t know what I was talking about or know someone who’s gone through it, you made me not feel alone.”

concept: i wake up early fully rested and excited to start the day, i go on a run, eat healthy meals, wear nice and comfortable clothes that i feel good in, i go to school to see my many kind friends who love me and would do anything to protect me. i take tests and ace them, i have perfect high A’s in all my classes. immediately when i get home i do my homework and finish it all before dinner. i understand everything i’ve learned. i read and write for a couple of hours before bed in my huge room, full of bookshelves and potted plants, while rain pounds on the window, and then i drift off to sleep….

  • 2 weeks to due date: Na, that's heaps of time. I'll start it later
  • 1 week to due date: I should probably get started on that assessment... na I still have ages
  • 3 days to due date: okay I'm going to start it now... oh look a new fanfiction.
  • Night before due date: I have approximately 5 hours to finish this, get a good nights sleep if I plan this right... but first let me scroll through Tumblr
  • 3am: SHIT. IVE HAD NO TIME. STUPID SCHOOL FOR MAKING US DO THIS ASSESSMENT IN SUCH A SHORT TIME

Some of the final batch of Tarot Cards I’ve been working on since i got back. Tarot Card commissions are closed now, these are the ones I couldn’t finish before I went off to school. :)

When I started making Tarot Cards almost 2 years ago if someone had told me I’d have made all these cards for people, I would not have believed them. These Tarot Cards have given me everything I’ve needed: confidence, great friendships, work opportunities. Each card is an experience I’m very fortunate to have shared with each and every person who decided to put their trust in me to draw their character. I’m happy, here’s to a future full of art and sharing! I love you all <3

So as the photo mentions above, this is a series of posts I will be posting for Back to School! I start school on the 5th of September, and so with around 1 week to go, I thought of posting a set of posts to get me back into the school mood.

These posts may include tips that I haven’t yet tried and will try once school starts, hopefully they help you out too!

HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE AFTER SCHOOL
In school:
As soon as your teacher gives you any homework/assignments, WRITE.IT.DOWN. Trust me, chances are you’ll forget it later on.

On the way home: Check your to-do list/planner/bujo and break bigger tasks into small sub-tasks. Choose one/multiple task/s on the basis of:

  - Will you procrastinate on it later on? If yes, DO IT NOW.
  - Will you be able to finish it before you have your snack/lunch? If yes, do it.

At home:
- As soon as you reach, check your to-do list/planner/bujo and take out the required books/other supplies you may need for all your tasks for the day and keep it on your desk/wherever you study. This will be beneficial for later as you have less reasons to procrastinate (the books are right next to you)
- Get started with your task/s you chose to do in the previous step and finish it.
- Have a snack/lunch (in my case). This is where you can check your phone and other social media sites.
- Rest for a little while. If you feel sleepy, take a nap. If naps make you feel even more tired, either go for a quick shower or simply get started with a simple task.
- Set a certain time to finish all your homework/assignments/studies for the day, and then reward yourself by watching your favorite TV show or YouTube videos, scrolling on Tumblr, reading a book, whatever you like. Avoid doing these activities during your study break, so once your done, you will feel like you deserved that reward.

And that’s it. This is of course, easier said than done, and you’re receiving advice from someone who has spent days just sitting in one place, procrastinating and sleeping really early, feeling exhausted, without even doing much.

For the first few days of school, try not to be too hard on yourself. You’ll probably be tired and that’s fine. Rest for 1-2 days (if you really feel like you have to) and then hustle harder with full force. If you don’t feel that tired, then hustle harder from day 1! When I started my first tumblr blog, one of the very first things I posted was this set of avatar posters. They kind of exploded, racking up 10k notes within a few days. Needless to say it was thrilling for 15 year old me, having barely just started drawing seriously.

Unfortunately they pretty much defined my old blog, which was a big reason for me to let it go and start fresh here. For the most part I was content leaving them behind me. But especially this summer, I couldn’t shake the feeling that they weren’t a good example of my current skill as an artist, so naturally I had to remedy that!

I finished the sketches about a month ago, and finally found time to sit down and finish painting all of them, in this final week before school. I also made them available to buy on my society6 store - check it out.

Please (don’t delete my comment) and enjoy them!

The college application process is without a doubt the most stressful time in all four years of high school. Here’s my advice on getting through it:

  • First of all, if you’re reading this as a freshman or even a sophomore, calm down. You do not need to be worrying about college yet. So many things can change between now and your senior year, any plans you make now likely won’t be the same then. I didn’t even know what schools I was applying to until I applied to them. I thought I knew for sure what school I was attending until I was accepted into the school I actually ended up attending. Just focus on doing well in school and having fun, then cross that bridge when you get there.
  • Begin researching schools after junior year ends. Junior year is notorious for being the worst one of the four in high school. The work is ridiculously difficult, the pressure is insane, and standardized testing is exhausting. After it’s over, you will have the taken the majority of the classes that will appear on your transcript, you’ll have your ACT/SAT results, and you should now have a good idea of what schools are within your range. Maybe your GPA tanked and you didn’t do as well on the SAT as you thought, so your former match schools are now reaches. Maybe you managed a 3.9 GPA and a 35 on the ACT, so your reaches are well within reason. Summer before my senior year, I (thought I) knew what I wanted to do and began looking for universities that offered me that.
  • Be open-minded. I’ve seen lots of students get into the mindset of “these are the schools I want to go to, these are the ones I’m applying to, and that’s final”. Don’t be stubborn. If you find a school you’d never heard of before, but it has a really great program in your field of study and a beautiful campus, add it to your list. It can be scary to venture into the unknown when you’ve had your heart set on going to the same university for your whole life, but you never know what could happen. That school you just discovered could turn out to be your dream school. Your list of prospectives is live, meaning it can change. Welcome those changes with open arms.
  • Apply to your dream school! Going into senior year, I planned to apply to one school. Yeah, that’s right. One single school. It was a state school with guaranteed admission and I thought that I would save myself the time, stress, and money of getting rejected from other universities. For some reason, I genuinely thought I had no chance of getting into any school with an acceptance rate of less than 50%. Thank god my parents made me apply to Vanderbilt University, which had always been my dream school. One day, completely expecting to get rejected, I got my acceptance email from Vandy, and now I’m starting my second year there in August. All of this to say, again, you literally never know what’s going to happen. “But my grades/extra-curriculars/test scores aren’t good enough!” There were plenty of people in my class with better stats than me in all of those categories that got rejected from Vanderbilt. There’s no rhyme or reason to college admissions. Apply to that reach school, and keep your expectations in check, but you could be pleasantly surprised.
  • Have multiple safeties. At least two. My safeties were two state schools with guaranteed admission so I knew I’d have somewhere to go in the fall. If you can’t find somewhere with guaranteed admission, find a school with admission averages that you exceed by a lot. I know this seems like obvious advice, but I know of quite a few people, both at my high school and online, who got rejected from literally all the schools they applied to. Those who had a safety went to the safety. Those who didn’t have a safety went no where. Don’t be in that second group. Have safeties, and be prepared to attend them.
  • Don’t procrastinate. Another piece of advice that might seem obvious, but trust me, you’re going to be tempted. Senioritis is real and you aren’t going to want to do anything, especially if it’s not for a grade. Luckily for me, my AP lit teacher required us to turn in our admissions essay as an assignment in September, so I had mine done way ahead of time. If you don’t have a teacher to hold you accountable, you have to do it yourself. Start your essays as early as possible and edit them over the weeks before the deadline. Ask for your rec letters at the end of junior year before summer break. Make sure you have all your deadlines written down and get all your paperwork in order early. There will be plenty of people spending their Christmas and New Years finishing college apps that are due the next day. Don’t be one of them. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress.
  • Stay organized. I saw a studyblr post where someone made an excel sheet comparing all their prospective schools, with categories like size of campus, tuition, type of housing, etc. I did that and it was a great way to keep track of everything. I also put all the essays needed for the application as well as when they were due, so I could easily see what I had left to do. I highly recommend doing this: here is a template you can use to get started. Even if you don’t decide to do this, use your own method to keep on top of all your application work. It can easily get lost beneath your schoolwork or other things you have to do. Make sure it doesn’t!
  • Keep yourself busy. The waiting to hear back from schools after submitting your apps is the worst. It’s torturous. I submitted my applications in October/November, and didn’t start getting decisions until March. That leaves all of winter to be nervous. The only way you’ll get through it is to not think about it. Focus on school, get a job, enjoy your last season of a school sport, just stay busy to keep yourself distracted or else it will be the longest few months of your life. Take a mental break from anything college-related until the good news starts rolling in.
  • Prepare yourself for disappointment. Rejection is never fun, it’s never easy. You might think you’re going to be fine, but it hits you harder than you think. When I got my first rejection, from Georgia Tech, I cried. I didn’t even want to go to Georgia Tech. But I felt like I wasn’t good enough, and therefore I wouldn’t get into any other school. The whole reason I wanted to apply to just one school was to avoid that feeling. If only I had known that my dream school would accept me just a couple weeks later. It’s going to be tough seeing everyone around you get into their first choice school while you’re receiving rejections, deferrals, or waitlists. What you have to remember is that everything happens for a reason. That rejection means that wasn’t the school for you. You will end up where you are supposed to be.

The application process is grueling and stressful, but also very rewarding. Stick through it and it will all be worth it. Up next in the University Advice series: choosing/changing your major. If you have any other ideas for topics you want to see covered, please let me know!

Study moods
  • Productive procrastination: having an essay due in a couple of days but reluctantly chooses to do homework instead.
  • Early bird: waking up at 6am and having a nice study session before school starts.
  • Late owl: stays up late to finish that one essay you procrastinated doing earlier.
  • In through one ear and out the other: reading the same paragraph five times and still wondering what it's about.
  • Slow but steady: when I make slow progress but I'm very proud of myself.
  • I don't want to: laying on your bed and continuously thinking that you will start studying in five minutes. Alternatively you stare at your book for a prolonged period of time.
  • The master of the free period: the times that you have a snack and a nice spot in the library and just study.

Isaac and Jackson are living together when Derek finds them in London.

Isaac turned his pain from Allison’s death into art and has been writing music and playing local pubs to make money. Jackson learned control and after that he started to channel all of his energy into school. He ended up finishing university by 20 and is not onto the London School of Economics for his masters.

Derek crashes on their couch for two weeks before Stiles shows up at the door.

“Jackson called, he aid I had to come collect you,” Stiles days with a smile, “Something about pining and not wanting to hear about me anymore.”

“I’m not pining,” Derek mutters, which was a bold face lie. He was pining so hard Stiles could probably have felt it across the ocean. “Shouldn’t you be in school?”

“Studying abroad this semester,” Stiles says, “Care to come on an adventure to Warsaw with me?”

“Will your roommate mind?” Derek asks, looking at Stiles like he can’t believe he’s really there.

“One bedroom apartment, my only roommate is the stray cat that keeps finding his way into my living room.”

“I’ll come then,” Derek says with a shrug.

“Only one stipulation,” Stiles says with a big grin, “You’ve gotta stop pining.”

Derek’s heart skins and his face falls, “Yeah okay.”

“Because we can’t both be pining, that’s just pathetic,” Stiles continues before stepping into Derek’s space and pulling him close, brushing their lips together.

“Finally!” Isaac yells from somewhere in the flat, “Not get the fuck out, you’re messing with my game.”

“You have no game Lahey,” Stiles yells back before kissing Derek again.

They end up adopting the cat. He moves back to DC with Stiles that summer. Oh and so does Derek.

part 2: https://writing-in-riverdale.tumblr.com/post/158896154168/twin-andrews-part-2-jughead-x-reader

“arch im kinda nervous”

i admit as we near the familiar diner

“you’ll be fine, it’s just Betty we’ve known her since we were in diapers don’t stress sis”

i huff my stomach turning as the neon sign comes into view

“i don’t know about this I haven’t been home for a really long time i think id rather just go home and rest”.

we pull into the parking lot and i turn to beg to my brother but he pulls the keys out of the ignition

“come (y/n) they are excited to see you, it’s been years at least come in for something to eat then I promise ill drive you home whenever you want”

i sit back and think it over before my brother starts again “dad wants me to help you ease back into it- it’s your first day back at school and wouldn’t you rather have people to talk with tomorrow so it’s not so-” he pauses

“terrifying” i finish

“i was going to say daunting but yeah terrifying works too” i huff
“fine but you owe me Archie big time” a smile spreads across his face as he gets out of his truck. “what have i gotten myself into” i think aloud copying my brothers actions and following him toward the entrance.

“oh and heads up I kinda didn’t tell them you were in town-”

i spin on my heels but he grabs my shoulders “it was supposed to be a surprise” he whines i run my hand over my face “fine- you’re so annoying you know that right”.

he sighs throwing his arm over me and walking me toward our normal booth we’re a spot Betty, Kevin & an unfamiliar raven headed girl.

“arch who’s the other girl-”

“(y/n)” i hear Betty call looking shell shocked

“i-i- I can’t believe your here I-” she chokes on her words.
things didn’t exactly end well between Betty & our friends when I left, after my parents divorce i went into a downward spiral and i was forced to leave with my mother no note no explanation to any of my friends as to where i was going or why and let’s just say i was terrified that they hated me.

“betts” i smile tears welling up

she looked so much older from when I last saw her the more I looked the more she looked different yet entirely the same. she stand from the booth her blonde hair swishing in her ponytail as she rushes over to wrap her arms around me pulling me into her warm embrace

“i thought you were never coming back” she whispers as she held me “me either” i whisper back crying slightly.

i pull away and wipe my eyes glancing to Kevin who’s jaw was lying on the ground “you going to close your mouth and come give me a hug or?”

he glances to me shocked with no movement as if he’s too scared to move in case I run “Kev!” i joke

I spread my arms as he climbs over the raven haired stranger and leap into my arms causing me to stumble back slightly.

“wow” he breathes pulling me at arms length examining me

“girl you got hot” he blurts

I laugh tearing up at the sight of my best friends “you finally grew your hair out im obsessed you look so so so good Chicago treated you well”

i run my fingers through my long red hair “thanks kev, it did it really did” “oh and you look so much thinner!”

I freeze at the comment catching my brothers gaze.

he senses my reaction and laughs stiffly

” I mean you look great, seriously” i breathe a sigh of relief laughing to cover my awkwardness.

“thank you i decided to loose a few pounds and well it worked!”

they smile at me “well have a seat we’ll order and we can catch up!” Archie offers and i nod slipping into the booth opposite Betty Kevin and the other girl.

“you going to introduce me to your pretty friend?”

i ask glancing at Betty

“oh of course this is Veronica Lodge-”

“Ronnie works” she smiles at me

“im (y/n) Andrews im-” “Archie’s twin?”

i nod “obvious?” i mentally face palm “yeah the red hairs a bit of a giveaway” i nod my brother sliding into the seat next to me.

“so you’ve met my sister ronnie” she nods sipping her milkshake “I sure have, will you be going to school this semester”

i nod “i sure am, now both the crazy red headed twins will be attending Riverdale hey arch” i nudge my brother.

it falls silent at my comment and i shift uncomfortably

“oh my god- what did I say?” i glance around Veronica looking equally confused.

“what other twins” she askes confused

“the blossoms..” i finish

“(y/n) I thought I told you about Jason in the car” i furrow my eyebrows at him “I just came from the airport arch i was half asleep and jet lagged i don’t think I was really paying all too much attention to you” i laugh.

“god please don’t tell me their dead- i was going to ask Cheryl for my spot back on the vixens, I miss cheer the girls in Chicago were awful”

still silence

“Jesus will someone tell me what’s going on” my brother touches my shoulder gently

“Jason was killed a few months ago- it was the Fourth of July weekend-” i zone out my breathe catching in my throat.

this is why mum didn’t want me to return home, there’s a murder running around. everything makes sense now while it seemed so eerie when I first got back and how mum refused to let me contact anyone from back home including Archie the past month.

“wow” i exhale “i had no idea- but polly oh my god Betty your sister must be devastated” she nods inhaling sharply let i said something wrong.

I glance down to my food not feeling hungry at all “um arch can we go home im not feel so hot I think I need some rest before tomorrow”

he nods “of course” “ill see you guys tomorrow” i smile waving goodbye to my friends before following my brother out of Pops and into his truck

“you okay?” i nod my attention slipping away “yeah just a lot to process that’s all” he nods pulling out of the parking lot driving toward home.

and you couldn’t help but think something was off something was missing or maybe it wasn’t a something it was a someone

Luke’s Story

My name is Luke. I just turned 17, am 5’9” tall and weigh 215 pounds. I need help and advice because of my weight, and especially because of my big belly. I was always a little taller than the other guys and my weight was normal until a year ago. I like sports, I used to play soccer and I was always in good shape.

The big thing that happened was that ten months ago my dad bought me a truck of my own. From the time I was a little kid he had always promised me that if I got good grades, didn’t smoke or drink, and stayed out of trouble, he would buy me a truck when I got my driver’s license. I keep my word and he kept his. I love that truck and spend most of my time now tinkering with it or just driving around with friends. That was when I cut way back on soccer and quit the team.

The problem is that I’ve put on more than 65 pounds in the past ten months. At first I didn’t notice it, but I’ve gone from size 30 to size 38 pants and my parents have had to buy me new underwear, pants, and shirts every other month or so. They never say anything, but the last time I had to upsize the size 34’s I was wearing were so tight I couldn’t button them. Rather than going to 36’s, my mom said to just go up to 38’s to give me “growing room”. It was embarrassing, and now the 38’s are getting tight on me. I’m going to have to buy size 40’s next. 40 and above are fat man’s sizes, and I’m just 17!

You may think so what, lots of guys my age put on some weight, so no big deal. The problem is that most of the weight has gone to my belly. Even when I got the 38’s, I had to fasten them underneath my belly because it’s so huge. It hangs over the waistband of my pants and bounces and wobbles when I walk. It’s impossible to hide with baggy shirts (believe me, I’ve tried). I get pats and pokes in my belly all the time from my friends, and I’ve heard every joke there is about being a pregnant teen or smuggling a soccer ball under my shirt. Last week I went for my annual physical (I go every year around my birthday). My doctor was stunned when he saw me. I only grew half an inch in height but my weight had climbed in a year from 148 to 215. The doctor said, “Luke, you’ve got quite the pot belly for a boy your age. Have you been drinking beer or what?” I assured him I don’t drink alcohol at all. All he told me was to cut back on my eating and get more exercise.

I’ve always had a big appetite and my mom is a great cook, too. It’s hard to cut back. I’ve always been a big eater but I never got fat (see my before picture from 2 years ago). Now, I eat two big helpings at dinner and I’m still hungry, and an hour later I’m heading to the kitchen to finish off the leftovers from dinner. An hour after that, while I’m doing my homework, I get hungry for ice cream or a package of cookies. It’s the same with breakfast and lunch. I have a big allowance and so stopping by at a drive thru every day is automatic now. I even keep a secret stash of candy bars in my truck in case I get hungry while I’m on the road.

School started a couple of weeks ago, my senior year. I know people look at me and my big belly, especially my classmates and teachers who knew me back when I was thin It’s so big that when I try to suck it in, you can’t tell that I’m trying. My pot just sticks out so far. I’ve got tits now and small love handles and my legs are bigger, but like I said, most of my weight is in my belly. When I sit down, my pot belly sits on my lap like a big ball of jello. My close friends who I eat lunch with joke with me all the time about my belly and my big appetite, but they’re my friends. Besides, when we hang out after school and go driving around, one or the other of them will treat me when we stop at the drive thru because I won’t take money from them for gas. I mean, they’re my friends and I like hanging out with them.

What made me write this today is that after school, I had to go to have my senior pictures taken. We were told to wear a button up shirt and nice pants for the picture, and I brought a shirt and pants with me. The shirt was loose on me last spring when I bought it. Today when I put it on, it was so tight around the waist! I could button the buttons but they were real stressed, and then when I sat down for the picture taking, a button popped off! The photographer didn’t say anything, but it was so embarrassing!

So please, any tips for me about reducing the size of my big pot belly? I know I’m chubby now and I’m probably always going to be on the heavy side (my mom and dad are both fat). I’ve tried sit-ups but my belly is so big It totally gets in the way. When I try push-ups, my belly hangs down and rests on the floor when my arms are extended. Then the exercise makes me so hungry and thirsty I end of drinking a 2 liter coke and raiding the kitchen for some snacks. I don’t mind being heavy all over, like my dad, but this pot belly has to go!

The first picture of me is from 2 years ago; the other 4 are from today. The picture of me standing from the size shows me trying to suck in my pot.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

Prompt: Request! – Liam starts getting jealous when Isaac gets more attention than him, soon it becomes a competition between them that you decide to indulge in. (Also inspired by Woman – Honne.)

Warning: None! Just FLUFFFFF!

ENJOY!!

*****

“Isaac honey can you pass me the butter.” You muttered as you grabbed the bread from the cupboard.

“Okay Mama!” He smiled as he grabbed the butter from the fridge bouncing over to you as you grabbed a knife out the draw.

“Thank you baby.” You smiled at him softly ruffling his hair. You started buttering the bread placing different ingredients on each sandwich. Lydia and Erica had a BLT. Liam, Mason, Cory and Stiles had a PBJ and Derek, Isaac and Jackson all had plain cheese and ham. You had a peanut butter and Nutella fried, kind of like grilled cheese. When you were frying your sandwich you heard yelling start from the front room.

“No fair! It’s my turn!” Liam screeched.

“NO IT’S NOT!” Scott scoffed before you heard more shuffling.

“Ow don’t bite me!” Liam whined making you wince slightly.

“Actually I think it’s my turn.” Derek deadpanned as you heard more movement.

“Listen old man!” Jackson yelled angrily.

You switched off the hob before storming into the living room to see Scott, Liam, Jackson and Derek rolling around on the floor fighting over the Xbox controller. Your hand immediately went to your hips as you waited for them to notice you. Lydia was sat reading but she looked up to acknowledge you before going back to her book.

“DEREK!” You screamed eventually when you realized they weren’t going to notice you.

“Shit!” You heard him muttered before de-tangling himself from the boys.

“Scott get off your brothers!” You snapped as you tapped you bare foot against the floor. Once they were all stood in front of you, head down in an attempt not to test what patience you had left.

“Every time I start making food somehow you always seem to interrupt me by acting like morons!” You huffed angrily.

“The Xbox can go off now. Derek you can come pour me a glass of wine. Lord knows I need it. Scott you can finish the reading you have for school. Jackson how about you study for the maths test coming up. Ask Lydia for help if you need it. Liam you can come sit in the kitchen.” You ordered pointing at each one of them as you snapped your orders, Scott and Jackson groaned but did as they were told. You made you way back to the kitchen Liam following closely behind. You told him to sit at the breakfast bar while you got out the first aid kit. You wiped always the blood noticing the bite mark almost gone completely, which you were thankful for.

“Mama?” Liam murmured softly, a blush on his face.

“What baby?” You said as you threw the used antiseptic wipe in the bin.

“Can I have a hug?” He fiddle with the bottom of his shirt nervously as he waited for your response. You smiled but leaned over to hug him tightly. His head laying against your chest probably able to hear you heart beating. He hugged you back but the moment only lasted a few more seconds because you heard Isaac start talking.

“Mama I’m hungryyy.” He whined, a pout gracing his face. You pulled away from Liam and nodded before you went back to making food.

You glanced at Isaac and Liam as you went to turn the hob back on. You noticed that they were thoroughly glaring at each other which you thought was weird, shaking your head you chose the let it go.

After the pack has finished eating they went back to their houses, except Isaac who went upstairs to study, leaving you alone with Derek. You had college tomorrow but you didn’t feel like staying in your dorm with your overly happy roommate. You cuddled into Derek as he flipped through the films that were on the TV, his pick of film made you laugh. As much as he a Stiles bicker their love for Star Wars was always what had them chatting like they were best friends.

“I think you should move in with me.” Derek spoke after half an hour of silence through the film. You looked up at him shocked by the sudden statement, his eyes still glued on the TV like he felt embarrassed somehow.

“Oh really? Would you like to look at me and ask me instead of telling me?” You snorted, crossing your arms in playful anger.

“Y/N Y/L/N will you move in with me?” He huffed with false confidence as he gazed in your eyes.

“I would love to Derek. Now I need to sleep because I have class at 8. Night Der.” You muttered as you wandered up the stairs. You stopped at Isaac’s room to see him sprawled over his bed with his homework thrown everywhere which made you smile to yourself. You carefully moved the papers to his computer desk and threw his covers over him, brushing his curly hair away from his face. After making sure he was okay, you went to yours and Derek’s shared bedroom getting dressed into one on Derek’s tops before getting into bed.

*****

“Isaac breakfasts ready!” You screamed up the stairs as you checked the time once again. Isaac ran down stairs dressed and ready for school. He kissed your cheek before he sat down next to you digging into his breakfast.

“Thank you Mama.” He said with half of a piece of bacon hanging out his mouth.

“Isaac don’t talk with your mouthful. It’s rude.” You instructed your voice soft yet stern. He nodded and continued chewing his food before you realized it was already 7.30am. You got up and kissed Derek on the cheek, who was sat silently with a coffee in his hand. Isaac followed closely behind hoping into the passenger seat.

“I need to talk to Derek about getting you a car or a bike.” You muttered as the pulled away from the Hale house.

“I don’t need a car mama I’m fine.” Isaac whispered slowly like he was worried about how Derek would react.

“Yes you do and don’t argue with me. Derek will agree too. Everyone else has a way to get around so which would you prefer bike or car?”

“Mama I do-”

“I think a bike since you love riding with Scott.” You interrupted before he could reject the offer again. After that you and Isaac chose to stay quiet for the rest of the time in the car. When you arrived at Beacon Hills High School you got out the car to greet the pack which was making their way over to your car.

“Ma-Y/N shouldn’t you be at college?” Scott voiced as they stopped in front of you.

“I’m going after this. Derek said he would drop him off but it’s on my way so I thought I’d do it today. Plus I have some good news.” You stated before ruffling Liam’s hair which made him preen.

“I’m moving in full time with Derek.” You added after pulling your hand away from Liam.

“That’s awesome!!” Erica screeched making Stiles roll his eyes.

“Right I’ve gotta go. Liam be good everyone else looking after him and make sure you don’t fight. You know it may seem like play fighting to werewolves but to humans it looks brutal and I’m not dealing with another call from Natalie telling me you’ve earned yourself detention for 2 weeks!”

“Yes Mom.” They are voiced sarcastically.

*****

When everyone came over for dinner that night it wasn’t just the pack but also the parents, who had yet to find out about your new name. It happened when you were helping Melissa cook while the Sheriff, Chris and Derek sat around the breakfast bar chatting away.

“JACKSON GIVE IT BACK! MAMA!!!!” Stiles screamed as he chased Jackson into the kitchen. Everyone stopped to stare at you but you paid no mind.

“JACKSON! Put that down before I take away your new phone!” You yelled as you stirred the chicken pieces around the wok.

“What you didn’t buy that though!!” Jackson screamed angrily his foot stomping angrily.

“I’m sorry, what was that?” You responded, your tone calm with a sickly sweet smile joining as you turned to look at him.

“I mean! I’m sorry Stiles here’s your comic book and I love you Mama!” He replied in a rushed way that made you smirk.

“That’s what I thought now, boy’s front room I don’t wanna tell you twice.” You added as you watched the boys bicker as they walked into the front room. You turned your attentions to the 3 sets or wide eyes staring at you, realizing what you had done you blushed and picked up your glass of wine.

“I think we should leave the kids here and go into early retirement.” Noah snorted making Derek go deathly pale.

“So your pack mom now?” Chris added nodding in agreement as he did, you nodded before going back to food. Once dinner was ready you all moved to the dining room to sit down but then just like every aspect of your life turned into another argument.

“But you always sit next to Mama I wanna sit next to her today!” Liam whined his bottom lip sticking out slightly.

“No it’s my seat pipsqueak.” Isaac mocked as he made his way to the seat.

“Isaac you can sit next to Melissa.” Your voice made no room for arguments with made everyone stop awkwardly.

“Bu-”

“Isaac.” Was all Derek said as everyone finally started to situate themselves.

During dinner everything was full of chatter and laughs except Isaac who sat there pushing his food around his plate aimlessly. You knew what was happening Isaac had been the baby of the pack for years until Liam came along. You could tell he was jealous and they were competing but you also knew that you loved everyone in this pack equally, well except Peter because he’s a maniac and Derek who is possibly the love of your life.

You knew Isaac felt left out but he had to learn you weren’t just his. After dinner you started cleaning up but Chris and Noah quickly took over saying that you and Melissa should rest, so you did. As soon as you sat down Liam began speaking to you.

“Mama would you like a drink?” He asked hopefully.

“I can rub your feet if you want?” Isaac tried to interrupt.

“I could put on your favorite film if you want.” Liam grit his teeth as he smiled, as if trying to control his anger.

“Boys just sit down.” You groaned before flopping onto Derek’s chest.

That night the entire pack stayed over, the big house full of giggles and teasing but what got you the most was every 5 minutes Liam and Isaac asked if you wanted anything or tried to get your attention. By the time it was midnight you had enough of the bickering so you told everyone to sit down and watch a film or they could go to their own rooms. Thankfully they listened.

“Mama would you like some popcorn?” Liam asked gently as the movie got to about half way through.

“Mama doesn’t like salted popcorn.” Isaac snickered making you pause the film and tell Erica to turn the light on.

“Right I’ve had enough of this competing! I am not a toy that you can fight over nor am I everyone’s favorite lamppost to piss up!” You screamed angrily as you threw the remote controller onto the couch.

“I love you all equally! You are all my baby’s in some way! If you had two babies would you love them differently?” You added, your arms crossing over your chest as you tried to maintain calm.

“No.” Isaac muttered, his cheeks glowing red.

“Well then don’t expect that from me! I love you all the exact same amount!” You huffed before hearing Derek re-enter the living room. Everyone was staring at you with sad eyes but you knew it was because they all felt bad.

After everyone had gone to bed you and Derek made your way up to your bed room changing into one of Derek’s tops before sliding into bed with a sigh. Derek got in without a word kissing you passionately which made you squeak in surprise. One he pulled back he smiled down at you lovingly his thumb tracing circles on your cheeks.

“Thank you for being the best Pack Mom ever.” He whispered gently, his hands making their way into your hair.

That’s night Derek made love to you over and over again his love pouring out over and over until you were overloaded with his feelings.

This man is the love of your life and he gave you everything you ever wanted.

A family.

  Part 1

I wake up, the smile’s still on my face from last nights encounter.

“(Y/N),” I hear mum shout from downstairs.

“I’m up,” I yell back stretching out my arms before throwing my covers off my body and heading down to greet my parents and grab something to eat. “Excited for your first day?” my mum asks putting a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me.

“Nervous. I met a few other kids in my year at the diner last night, they seemed really nice.” She clasps her hands together.

“Oh, sweetie that’s lovely!”

I shrug hoping she was right finishing up with my breakfast before continuing to get ready for school. I was used to wearing a uniform back home so being able to wear whatever to school was a weird concept for me to grasp as I stand infront of my wardrobe, clothes littering my bedroom floor. I huff to myself glancing at the clock. 10 minutes before I have to start my walk to school and I’m nowhere near ready.

“You okay sweetie?” my mum asks from my door. I nod throwing together and outfit.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m going to head in early to get my timetable.“ She smiles hugging me briefly before bidding goodbye as she heads into work. I grab my bag and rush down the steps walking toward school.

As i get closer to the school I glance around to see other kids loitering out front, all in small groups, all seemed to be caught up in their own conversation to see me nervously wonder through trying to locate the front office.

“(Y/N),” I turn to see Betty waving from across the hall weaving her way through the crowd till she reached me.

“Hey,” I smile warmly adjusting my bag on my shoulder.

“I’m actually showing you around today- I already got your schedule,“ I breathe a sigh of relief.

“Thank you.” The bell rings loudly.

“I’ll walk you to your first class and then we can meet up at lunch. You can seat with me and the gang.” I smile.

“Thank you so much.” She throws her arm around my shoulder and gives me a small squeeze.

“You’re very welcome!”

The lunch bells rings and I breathe a sigh of relief slipping my books into my bag and heading toward the school yard, my eyes scanning for Betty and Veronica. My palms grow sweaty as I struggle to find the blonde and raven haired girls, my heart rate starts to grow and I consider turning around and finding somewhere else to eat when someone whistles catching my attention.

“Little Brit!” I turn and see Veronica standing up from her seat waving me over. I smile and walk over sitting inbetween the two girls.

“Gosh i thought I was never going to find you guys!” I giggle.

“How’s class been so far?” I nod noticing Archie, Jughead & an unfamiliar boy approach the table taking their seats.

“It’s actually been really good, easier than I thought- Besides the whole having to introduce yourself every lesson. I swear teachers do it just to torture us!“ I breathe out realising I was mumbling.“I’m thinking of trying out for a slot in the music class, I’ve heard that the music teacher here is really good. She does private classes? Isn’t that right Archie?” He chokes on his lunch and goes red in the face. The whole group looks at me with a shock expression.

“What?” I laugh innocently glancing over to Jughead who looks lost. “Miss Grundy told me she was helping you with songwriting, was I mistaking?” He clears his throat and shakes his head.

“Oh, right, yeah, she’s been helping me a lot actually- with the song writing, yeah…” I laugh at his sudden change in mood.

“Anyways I heard Betty that you run the “Blue & Gold”. I was wondering if I was able to help? I wrote back home for my school newsletter and I thought I could help you reboot the paper.“ She smiles.

“That would be awesome! Jug and I have been working a lot lately with the paper, right Jug?” We all turn to face him only for him to be staring right at me. I go red and Archie nudges Jughead with his elbow.

“Juggie,“ Betty pesters. He jolts upright fixing his beanie, his eyes darting to us all.

“Yo,” I laugh and look at the others. “Did you not hear anything Betty and I were saying?” He laughs awkwardly under his breath scratching the back of his neck.

“I swear I was listening I just-”

“Got lost in her voice,” Veronica teases making him go red.

“I just.. um… I have… um… you know what nevermind,“ he rambles pushing his food around the tray.

“I was talking to Betty about the Blue & Gold.” He nods.

“Yeah we run it. You can… um… are you… did you want to help us?” he finally gets out looking toward me smiling sweetly.

“It’d be an honour Jug. I’d be more than happy to help you and B out.” He smiles.

“Why don’t the three of us go to Pop’s after chool and talk more about the paper?“ I suggest.

“Oh, I’m sorry but I have plans today,” Betty replies.

“Okay, maybe just me and you Jug?” He almost spits out the juice in his mouth glancing to Archie with wide eyes.

“Of course!” He almost shouts. “I mean, yeah, of course, I’ll bring my laptop and show you some stuff,” he tries to act cool adjusting his beanie and glancing past me.

“Cool, it’s a date,“ I smile catching his gaze.

“It’s a date love,” he smiles back.

The air was humid as you jogged up the steps in your white sneakers, kicking the door open with the nudge of your hip as you held the box in your hands. Harry groaned when the door opened and you merely smiled at him, quickly closing it behind you.

“Do you know why I invest in air conditioning, Y/N?” Harry asked, running his hands through his sweaty and damp hair. “It’s to keep the inside cool. And with you opening windows and keeping the door open all the time, that’s kind of hard to do.”

You rolled your eyes and placed the heap of boxes on the counter as Harry watched you. You were dressed much cuter and more casual than you had in the past with school, and Harry realized that it was because you could breathe again. You had no one to impress. You’d gotten a job. And now was just that transition phase before you moved on with your life.
