i have this insane need to know why people don't like certain things

anonymous asked:

Hi, 7goodangel. I am here to ask you about PaperJam as a shy, smol and innocent being (mainly thegreatrouge made him be). There has been some conflicts regarding his trait. Some said his canonical personality is a jerk, like what you wrote in his bio / info and some said that is severely wrong and being shy, (which made him shipped with Fresh), is his canonical personality. What are your thoughts about this? I mean, it is your character and people are taking control of it. Don't you disagree?

Well… I have talked to people and seen public conversations and this has happened several times to me over months. I guess I’ve gotten a little numb to it now… or maybe it’s due to school that I haven’t given it the attention that it deserves. Probably due to school.

I just can’t update constantly like others - even though some others in school were and are able to update constantly. I can’t keep going around and holding up my bio of PJ and police people. It’s exhausting to me… it really takes up the small bit of free time I have.

I think after I get a solid job that I’ll be able to go around better… but anyway - back to your question.

While I love seeing interpretations and do not want people to be limited by something and have their imaginations go forth… it’s proving that a huge con comes with that mentality - which you have pointed out. A lot of people swear that PJ is the cute, innocent interpretation that really, did get PJ popular in the first place. While I did have him as a jerk from the beginning - I kinda kept that info to my RP blog - so you could say it is my fault this is all happening and I do think that. I could of done something to make it not as bad as it is now…

It’s just like the NSFW stuff… people just assume the first thing and run with it. And it really does make me feel like I really am not needed for my own character at points.

It’s a struggle - I don’t want to have people stop interpreting PJ within AUs… but I also don’t want people to just see him as an innocent child to ship with Fresh.

And I’m still trying to find the best solution to it.

But… I feel like the damage is already done. It’s too late for me to talk to all of these people going around swearing on their life that PJ is canoncally like Rouge’s interpretation/AUs. It feels like an hopeless battle to me.

And I guess I needed someone to ask me this question so then I can fully say my thoughts on this.

So in short, while I love creativity and don’t want to snuff it out (considering some people would probably think I’m doing that already with saying “No Sin”), I still don’t like it. It irritates me, irks me, frustrates me, and I feel like even as the person who thought of PJ in the first place, my voice isn’t enough. Communities seem like they don’t care about artists unless they reach a ‘certain goal of popularity’ or seem like they have a more professional style of art. I know I do not reach either of those titles.

People misspell my username all the time - I actually claimed ‘7goodangle’ on tumblr for that reason.

People still say “I’m too lazy to find who made PJ” when they clearly mentioned they looked at the bio on the wiki.

People still go around arguing others on the canon ship of OmniPJ and swearing that FreshPaper is the true canon ship, when all people are pointing out is that they need to keep the canon ship in mind when going around with information.

Even just basic personality traits… and these things are happening on sites that I do not nor want an account for.

I still want others to have fun - to be happy; but I don’t know… I guess I’m cutting out my own happiness to get everyone else happy? I want to eventually write a version of PJ within his own universe and story… and he is more like the version I created within the UT verse. Not exact - but close. Though who knows… I might shove PJ to the side and replace his role with another character. I’m still weighing options.

Cause PJ was the first character I ever put this much time and thought into… my first character that was balanced, well rounded…

And what happens?

You said it Anon.

They took it - changed it (initially as an AU but now people think it’s canon) - and I can’t do much about it. Due to school and not much free-time… due to how many don’t know the true creator… and just back talking anyone who is just mentioning it to people who swear by it.

As an artist and a character designer…

It makes me not want to show designs, characters, and stories ever again online.

Considering if this is how I was treated on the first one… why even take a chance at a second one? If it has brought me so much stress, frustration, and time… why even try it again?

I said I was only going to do fanart so if anyone stole it, it didn’t really matter.
I think I should have stuck with that thought process.

In conclusion, there are some major things to take away here. First – that yes, I do not like how it has skewed this far to the point of arguing over a fandom version with the canon. Canon is canon and I get the different AUs – this is too far. Way too far. I am emotionally drained from this – from this whole mess that I have been defending throughout majority of PJ’s lifespan. I will state this – Paper Jam is my character. He is my original character that I created more than a year ago. And the UT AU fandom took my character and warped him to something he is not and all of his original meaning is lost. I do not like to hurt others or make other sad – but I must put my foot fully down. This miscommunication needs to stop. I am tired of repeating things over and over and I have past my breaking point time and time again. I just want people to see PJ how he really is… and I wish that people could be focusing more on the reality of him instead of the alternate that they all claim as truth.

Final words: I still like Undertale – I still like creating characters and having fun – but the Undertale AU fandom is ridiculous now. The Amino UT community is insanity in an app, and there is a lot of stuff that has made many artists and creators to their breaking point and leaving the fandom entirely. Everyone in this fandom needs to take ten steps back and look at what they are doing. Go back to the game. Play it again – watch your favorite let’s player’s videos of it again.

And just… food for thought… please don’t jump the gun on someone else’s OC’s personality and actions.

I do not want anyone to experience what I had.

The Show must go on

((Okay, so @doodledrawsthings got me interested in hell’s au, and then the subject of mortality came to be. Then @kitkat1003 wrote an amazing fic, and well… this happened)) . . . .

Dear Bendy,

I guess it wouldn’t have been long before Joey and I would kick the bucket. Who would have guessed 70 years in the studio would go by so quickly am I right?

Anyway, I guess this is just a bit of a sendoff before Joey and I take our dirt nap. If by some miracle by God you start getting a sick feeling in your stomache, excessive ink overflow, or wanting to lay in bed for all eternity and contemplate your existence, then just think of this as revenge for trying to drown me in ink on that Thursday those years ago.

So yes, surprise! People die for real here. It’s a damn slow, natural thing we do, a thing we can’t control. No one lasts forever in this world no matter how hard we try to make them last. So you’ll probably think, “Henry! You sicko! Why the hell are you so nonchalant about this?!” I won’t say anything or course, because you know, I’ll be dead.

And besides, you always said that I was a sort of moody guy. I guess you finally rubbed off on me after all these years.
But hey boss, chin up, here comes the better part. We may not last forever, but you, Boris, Alice, everyone else, you guys sure will.

Now you’re probably getting mad at Joey for making you this way right? Even I still think he’s insane for doing what he did, but after this experience I have realized some virtues in his work. Bendy, you’re a legacy. The people of this world know that one day they’re all going to die. Some like me and Joey accept it, but keep on hoping. But there are others who know it, but they’ve given up all hope. They forget how to laugh and enjoy their time here because they don’t see the point.

That’s where you and the gang come in. When Me and Joey drew you, we wanted to make you all into someone everyone would love. You’d make them laugh, cry, even get scared when you try to drown them in a flood of ink and suffering (I’m never letting this go, not over my dead body). Because what you do reminds them that despite it all, life can be fun.

Wipe that ink off your face bucko, you’re only halfway through the sentiment.

This is for Boris. In case you’re still wondering who’s a good boy, well, I’ve got the answer buddy. It was you all along.
Keep swinging that clarinet of yours like there’s no tomorrow, because you never know when someone’s gonna need some cheering up from a certain good boy. (It’s still you, you loveable pup) Don’t worry about us okay buddy? We’ll be fine. Just make sure Bendy doesn’t cause too much trouble alright?

Now for Alice, who knows, maybe you will end up as popular as Bendy some day (I said might Bendy, don’t get all huffy). In the meantime, keep those boys in line as much as you can. They need you more than they think they do. And remember to tell Boris to turn off the system after recording, no one likes hearing Wally singing “Dancin’ Queen” acapella.

And finally, we’d like to thank you all for bieng our crew. Thank you for the laughs, the pick-me-ups, the random dances, the naggy critics, even the times you tried to drown us in ink. But most importantly, thank you for bieng our legacy. You made our dreams come true, now go on and make everyone else’s do the same.

Goodbye, kiddo.

Your creators and friends,

Joey and Henry.

I know that SuperCorp is very unlikely to happen because Sanvers is already a thing, but between us… that’s bullshit.

Tv shows should always aim to reach out for the audience, capturing their interest - on a side trying to represent them and on the other trying to surprising them. We’re getting a hint of representation of the LGBT community (and I’m not saying LGBTQA+, because that part of the community is practically nonexistent according to the media) right now, which is definitely not enough, and what we get is rarely a quality product (for the most part, we’re used to make jokes, which isn’t representation, but more likely cheap comedy). We frequently get little screen-time, poor character development (he’s gay, what else is there to say?) and yes, we often get to DIE too (for the benefit of famous “shock value”… which doesn’t shock anybody, really, since it happens almost all the time). What we don’t get is main roles, good backstories, characters who are not only defined by their sexual orientation and… well, to live, to grow and get to be happy on screen (what an absurd concept, am I right?).

Supergirl has done an incredible job by representing Alex Danvers’ coming out story: it showed its audience how a strong, brave woman like Alex can still be very fragile and struggle with this kind of realization; how she fears to accept herself, to be fully herself and out with the people she cares the most about, and more importantly how things can actually go well. This is damn important, ‘cause it helps a lot of people to think that “Hey, maybe my family won’t take it this badly” or “Maybe my friends will accept me” and “Maybe things will change for the better!”, ‘cause guess what? IT CAN HAPPEN AND IT HAPPENS! But this is not very interesting to show, apparently, ‘cause most of the time it’s all freaking dramatic and it ends in tragedy.

The new generations are already lucky, ‘cause now there is something like this (Supergirl) on Tv, but it’s not enough still, ‘cause they’re portraying a tiny fragment of their audience, of the people around the world, and if you think “But it’s a lot already”, I’m gonna tell you that the straights have every single damn shade from every single damn angle for their representation on screen, while we are barely there and almost never the main character or anything close to that. Yes, there are movies in which we are protagonists, but let’s be real, they’re almost always centered on our sexual orientation, the discovery and the consequences, which is helpful and good to see, but it’s not everything there’s to see and to know. Plus, they really abuse of the dramatic factor of it in order to “send a message”, but that’s a message wasted on the straights, and if they think you’re an abomination already, surely a movie won’t change their minds. Instead, it will just fuel fear in us, which - there’s no really need to say it - it’s bad (we unfortunately have reality for that).

I remember my probably very first approach to the whole “girls liking girls” thing thanks to the media.
I was a kid and I was watching this movie on the Tv. I remember only pieces of it, ‘cause I don’t think I was paying much attention until a certain point. What I still recall, though, stuck in my head for a reason.
There were two girls, one white and the other brown, that grew closer to each other (I seriously don’t remember anything about whatever was the rest of the story). I recall this very specific scene that had me and my sister (who was also watching) like: “Oh, they are helping each other undressing ‘cause they’re friends”. When they started making out we were like “Oh… Okay, so they’re not just friends, apparently”, and that was it. I don’t think we knew about all the hatred towards people of same sex being in love with each other, to us it was just like “Okay, this is a thing that exists: acknowledged”. They seemed to be fine, so there was no issue… right? WRONG!
The white girl’s brother saw them, got angry as shit, took a gun and started shooting at them. They got into a car, trying to get away from him, but he got into another and started chasing them. It was raining, they were scared as shit, he looked insane, I felt the anguish growing inside of me: it was awful (again, I was a kid at the time).
The car slipped, then fell down a bridge into a river/lake and it quickly sank. After a while, only the white girl emerged from the water. The other drowned.
Last scene that I remember was a time jump where the white girl was a now a white granny, and she was probably remembering this terrible thing that happened to her once.

No fucking wonder if growing up I didn’t want to be gay and I pushed down my feelings and thoughts, since this is the kind of message to which I was subjected. And now? Now there are some things that portray the whole “being gay” as normal (as it always should be) and not in a dramatic, catastrophic way, but it’s also true that we get shows like The 1OO, Person of Interest, Orange Is The New Black, Pretty Little Liars, The Walking Dead and many, many, many others where the lesbian freaking dies, where there is no happy ending for us.

It’s simply not okay.

But to finally address the very main reason why I started this post - that no one will read ‘cause it’s too long, and people have time only for thoughts as long as a tweet - is the importance to acknowledge the presence of MORE THAN ONE GAY CHARACTER in a story. In a story AND in a family. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, we are more than two and we indeed can have LGBTQA+ wonderful siblings. Madness, right? Except that it’s not, it’s our reality, which is way more colorful, interesting and beautiful than the arid one-sided representation we witness on daily basis (I’m talking about heteronormative).

So, what really drives me nuts, it’s not the fact that people seem to be scared shitless to insert us in anything (although we’re everywhere), but how little crafty they are. We have proven to be a real force of nature over the whole LGBT Fans Deserve Better initiative, which raised by far $166,547 for the Trevor Project, and we did that after being smacked down once again by showrunners. Can you imagine what we could do if people were fair to us, for a change? We’re loyal, passionate, absurdly creative and talented (have you ever seen our fanArts, read our fanfictions? They’re often better than the original stuff and we don’t get paid a coin for making them), and yet we hardly get anything.

Tv shows should listen to their audience and get smart, because it’s not a pink UFO the thing we’re asking for, it’s not something that won’t fit their story, but simply more good representation. Supergirl scored with Sanvers, but there’s still so much potential that is sadly going to waste, and if they opened their eyes they would see it.

Do you want a great, original idea? Be fair and listen.

bestk-pop  asked:

I want know about them I don't know who people I saw mv make me want know people I want know about that profile

So from left to right we have: Nibansenji, Nichan, Aoi, Kimagure Prince, Tomitake, Shirofuku, Forgeru, Nozakibento and Nokkuso.

Now Sunflower is the one who knows the details about all of them, so I’m just gonna give you the fun, not serious version of their details ^^ If you would like to know more then please check here for our “official” profiles of them.

So I’ll go in the order of this photo ^^

Nibansenji: Nibansenji is one of my (Sakura’s) favourite members. He is a tall tall bean. He doesn’t really get a lot of lines which SUCKS but on the new album he does have a solo which makes me SO STINKING HAPPY!!! He also loves video games, and quite often livestreams. You can find his twitch account here. His member colour is emerald green.

Nichan: Nichan is a bean. That is the most important thing to know about him. If you’ve been going through MeseMoa’s older music videos you may notice that he isn’t there; that’s because he took a hiatus for a few years, but he’s back now! His member colour is passion pink.

Aoi: AKA the little shit. We call him a little shit A LOT because Aoi, despite being the youngest member by quite a lot, IS A LITTLE SHIT. The ironic thing is we actually all love him, he just posts really provocative selfies pretty much every day. He is very attractive and he knows it. He recently graduated from high school and he’s been dancing pretty much since he was born. He’s usually one of the centres for MeseMoa’s songs and he’s also in the unit Traffic Light along with Shirofuku and Kimagure Prince. He is one of the best singers and dancers in the whole group. He’s also the only member who didn’t bother to think up a stage name; his real name is Imagawa Aoi. His member colour is red.

Kimagure Prince: Also known as Punta, KimaPuri and Pun-chan (boy’s got a lot of nicknames cause his stage name is SO DANG LONG), he is one of the most beautiful people ON EARTH. He got his name from the Morning Musume song “Kimagure Princess”. Like Aoi, Punta knows he is stunning but somehow he isn’t a shit about it :3 He’s the sub-leader of MeseMoa and the leader of the unit Traffic Light. His dancing is also insanely elegant; like I swear he must have done ballet at some point in his life. His member colour is light blue.

Tomitake: AKA Sunflower’s favourite member. Tomitake is, in my humble opinion, one of the most underrated singers in the group. People tend to focus on Shrio, Punta and Aoi but Tomitan is AMAZING. He was one of the lead vocalists in Shadow Kiss which made me super happy (and just about killed Sunflower). He really loves singing too; he does karaoke a loooooooooooot. His member colour is pink.

Shirofuku: The leader of MeseMoa and my other favourite member. Nobody, I repeat, nobody, loves MeseMoa as much as this guy. You can tell how much it means to him whenever he sings or dances; he just has so much passion about the group. He gets very emotional very easily, which is why it’s good that Punta is the sub-leader as he’s usually able to calm Shiro down. He is also in Traffic Light with Aoi and Punta, and is pretty much always one of the centres for every song they do (given that he’s the leader). He got his stage name because in his old dance covers on NicoNico he would always wear white shirts. Shiro=White, Fuku=Shirt. His member colour is yellow.

Forgeru: Forgeru is so smiley. He loves coffee (literally, his entire instagram feed is pictures of either coffee shops or cups of coffee. Don’t believe me? Check here). He tends to be at the back like Niban for most things which is a shame because he works really hard for the group as well. He tends to be a little quieter on social media than the others. Oh, also according to Tomitake he is a crocodile. No, I do not know why. His member colour is green.

Nozakibento: Also known as Nozaki Bento or just Nozaki, he is the oldest member of the group (he keeps telling us on Twitter that he’s about to turn 31. Also his birthday is on the 28th of April, fun fact). “Bento” literally means lunchbox and I am certain that he picked his name cause the man freaking loves food. He tweets about food and drink a lot. Like he felt the need to tell his fans that he found a kind of ginger beer he really liked, then a few hours later just went, “I bought three.” I dunno, it’s kinda cute :3 He’s also really passionate about not letting younger idols overtake him. Like seriously, I hope I’m as energetic as him when I’m in my 30s! His member colour is brown.

Nokkuso: The alcoholic of the group ^^ Nah, I’m just kidding, he just really likes beer. He likes alcohol in general; he listed “drinking sake” as his special skill for MeseMoa’s official website so that tells you a lot :3 He always wears long sleeves when he’s performing which is a good way to pick him out from the group if you’re having trouble finding him (he’s also the only blonde one which helps, but sometimes people get him and Tomitake confused cause Tomitan has kind of strawberry-blonde hair). Similarly to Niban and Forgeru, he tends to be at the back which is a shame. His member colour is purple.

Other people you may see us posting about from time to time are Zeararu who was a member of MusuMen (MeseMoa’s name before they changed it) and who graduated from (left) the group in February this year (2017). His member colour was orange, which is now why MeseMoa’s overall colour is orange. Another is K’suke who is a very well known Japanese odorite (YouTube/NicoNico dancer) who was in the group for a brief time and now choreographs most of their stuff. He also sometimes does covers with the group (check this one out he did with Shiro, Punta, Aoi and Forgeru).

So yeah! That’s the basics about the members of MeseMoa! Anon, I hope this helped you (and anyone else who’s here because of Shadow Kiss!) to get to know the members better.

I had a lot of fun writing this actually! If you guys have any other questions please feel free to ask us!

It’s not “insane” to hypothesise that homosexuality might have been hated before women were. Gender serves both to separate the sexes into a “natural” complementary dichotomy (by magnifying the biological differences between them and creating artificial ones), and to enshrine and justify male supremacy. Gender has both a “male / female = yin / yang” side and a “male / female = dominant / submissive” side. Gay men are oppressed by the first one (because the natural complementary yin / yang aspect posits homosexuality as inferior, less natural, less fitting, making less sense) and privileged by the second one, which posits their sex as superior. Bi/het women are oppressed by the second one (the dominant / submissive side) and privileged by the first one, which posits their sexuality as superior. Lesbians are oppressed by both.

Radfems believe that the two have always been intrinsically linked, that the only purpose of that first aspect is to justify and solidify the second aspect (i.e. the more separate and different the two sexes are, the easier it is to claim that one is superior to the other), or that the first aspect exists only because of the second one (i.e. the artificial differences between the two sexes exist because men avoid doing “women things” because they hate women). In other words, they downplay the aspect that privileges them by defining it as a mere auxiliary to the one that oppresses them. By that logic, anything that reinforces that first aspect only reinforces their oppression, not their privilege. It’s a particularly useful logic when they do or say things that reinforce it.
But, although it’s difficult today to separate the two as they have become so entangled and synergistic - it’s possible that they weren’t originally linked, that the complementary yin / yang aspect was conceived first (as e-h said, in the context of the early hetero creation myths, for example) and that the dominant / submissive aspect was added to it later. It’s possible that the concept of the male / female pairing as natural & superior, vs. male / male or female / female = unnatural & inferior, existed before “male = superior vs. female = inferior”.

After all, you don’t need to believe that men are superior to women in order to believe that heterosexuality is superior to homosexuality. Homophobic radfems keep proving it. Deep down, a lot of bihet radfems believe that homosexuality is less natural than heterosexuality. You see this mentality on tumblr constantly (”how dare you suggest bi/het women stop dating men” vs. “being in a lesbian relationship is a luxury” = how can you expect me to resist the overpowering urges of my deep-rooted natural hetero attraction vs. homosexuality is a shallow bourgeois indulgence) but also in those “feminist utopia” books written by 2nd-wavers in which lesbianism no longer has any reason to exist now that women are liberated from male domination.

I Don't Want To Live Forever - Part 2

When she was notified of someone being at the gates of her home, she was having a quiet evening just writing some music, having a cup of tea. She wasn’t expecting anyone, her plan was for the quiet to last the whole day but apparently the universe seemed to have a different idea for her because right when she saw who it was, she was a mess of nervousness.

She opened the door and there he was, standing a bit awkwardly at her footstep with a sheepish grin on his lips, hands on his pockets. Wearing a t-shirt that she suspected she had bought for him.

“Hi!” He cleared his throat. She smiled gently.

“I see you’re finally off the crutches now, huh?”

“Yeah, got rid of them yesterday.” He told her. “Would you mind if I come in?”

“Oh! Yeah, sure! Come in!” She stepped aside, chuckling lightly. Adam stepped inside and he noticed something different in the house, the pictures in which he was in had been replaced with her friends, he felt his chest tightening at the reminder that they had actually broken up, that they had moved on with their lives without each other. But he quickly snapped out of it, not wanting her to be uncomfortable.

“How are you? Is everything alright?” She questioned as they moved to the living room.

As if remembering just then the reason for his visit, Adam’s eyes widened. “Yeah, I just wanted to see you. I’m sorry I didn’t call or anything.”

Biting her lip, she tried not to look at his eyes. I just wanted to see you seemed like such a strange thing coming from the man that had broken her heart, the man whose heart she broke just a few weeks ago with nothing but the truth and irony of life. “Oh, it’s okay. I wasn’t doing much so it’s fine.” She shrugged and he nodded his head. “So they gave you the all clear on everything? You’re okay now?”

“Yes, everything is great. They said I recovered fast. It’s just my memory that is a bit messy. They said I may be able to get it back but there’s no way to know for sure and it may never happen.” He explained.

“Oh well, it’s better than nothing. Thank god it wasn’t worse than this.” Worst scenarios crossed Taylor’s mind for a moment and she refused to think about it. The thought of what could’ve happened left her little breathless. Because she still cared about him, you don’t just go from loving a person for a year to hating them. She could never hate him and that’s what she hated about this. It was easy to ignore when they didn’t talk, when they didn’t cross paths and when they agreed to just be friendly when they needed too but this…actually having him here was making her rethink a lot.

“Taylor, I’ve been trying to remember everything that happened, you know? Going over pictures and articles and stuff people tell me. I’ve been trying so hard but I can’t understand what I did, what we did. It’s so confusing.” He sighed.

“Adam…I don’t think I understand either and I remember it.” She smiled softly, placing her hand over his for a second that was far too short in Adam’s mind. “It’s okay. It’s in the past.”

His lips stretched into a smile as he looked at her. “Can I tell you a secret?”

Her brows furrowed and she chuckled. “Sure.”

“I lied. I didn’t come here just to see you.” He told her. “I came here because I have a proposition to make.”

“And what’s that?”

“Ten days is what took me to convince you to date me. So I want to ask for ten days to let me convince you again.” His words were so certain, he seemed so sure of this. “If after those ten days, I’ve made no progress then I’ll give up on you. I guess what I’m saying is that I want us to start over. Everything.”

“Adam, you can’t just do this. This past year has been hell for me, for us. I can’t risk getting hurt.”

“I can assure you that I know what mistakes I made to lose you, Taylor and I know that I won’t make those same mistakes again. I can’t promise you it’ll work but if you give a chance to try, that’s all I’m asking. A chance. So please, let me try.” He begged, grabbing her hand. It was hard to say no to a face like that. But what he was saying was substantially insane and she should totally be against doing it but there was something about having someone handing out what you wanted for months right in front of you.

She didn’t speak for few seconds, turning to look at him. “Ten days. You have ten days.”

“Thank you.” He laughed, hugging her. She was surprised at the contact but soon relaxed under his touch, her arms wrapping around him before she pulled away not wanting to get caught up.

“So this starting over thing, how does it work?” She smiled.

“Well, Taylor Swift, would you go on a date with me?”

“Why are you freaking out over this?” Gigi laughed, laying sideways on Taylor’s bed as she came in and out of the closet pulling different outfits. “It’s not like you don’t know him. It’s not that hard, Taylor.”

Taylor groaned. “I know! But still, I’m just nervous about it all.” She came out of the closet wearing a black dress. “What do you think?”

“It’s perfect!” Gigi grinned at her.

She frowned, looking down at herself.

“What is it?” Gigi asked.

“This was one of his favorite dresses that I wore.” She mumbled, running her hands over the fabric.

“Babe, it’s okay.” Gigi stood up to hug her. “You’re gonna be fine. I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself. It’s Adam. He did screw up big time but he’s a good guy and you know him in and out.”

Sighing, she grabbed her phone, checking if anyone had texted her, if Adam had texted her. Thankfully he hadn’t said anything which meant she still had time until he came to pick her up.

“Do you think I should’ve given him the chance? What if he remembers everything suddenly and then he hates me?”

“You’re overthinking it, Tay, honestly. This is good, I mean, you can just end up as friends but maybe it can work out this time. I know you still have feelings for him and I wanted to cut his balls off for a second there but you should give this a shot.”

Taking a sharp breath, she smiled softly. “Okay. It’s gonna be fine.”

Gigi smiled at her encouragingly and Taylor’s phone started ringing. Her eyes widened.

“Oh god.” She groaned and swiped it right, answering Adam’s call. “Hello?”

“Hey, Just letting you know I’ll be there in like ten minutes.” His voice came from the other side of the line.

“Okay, yeah, great!” She smiled nervously. “I’ll see you in a bit then.”

“Can’t wait.” He said before hanging up the phone.

“Isn’t this crazy? It’s crazy isn’t it? I made a mistake.” She muttered, running a hand through her hair.

“Okay, stop!” Gigi held her shoulders, looking into her eyes. “You need to breath, Taylor. You gave him a chance to get you back, which is super brace and I think that maybe if it doesn’t work out, you can get some closure on the Adam thing, which you and I both know you don’t have right now with everything that happened, okay?”

Taylor nodded and then smirked softly, looking at Gigi. “When did you get so wise?” Gigi laughed, shaking her head. “I need to get ready!”

Adam was driving the car, his hands gripping the steering wheel as he tried to calm himself down. He wasn’t even sure why he was so nervous, it suddenly felt like this was his first date ever with a girl. Perhaps it was the fact that this was Taylor or just the fact that he lost his memory and now the girl he loved, who he wanted a future with, had left him. Too many things had happened for his liking. How he managed to screw up so badly was beyond him, he kept wondering how on earth did he not fight for her to stay. He knew she had made mistakes but from he’d been told he was the biggest reason for their break up and he wanted to make sure that he would never make the same mistake twice.

He was driving through the familiar street that led to her house, telling himself it was going to be fine. That he could actually convince her to take him back.

Thinking back to the moment she told him what happened, he never knew losing her could hurt that much. He felt suffocated, his lungs collapsing as his heart broke into tiny pieces. It didn’t make sense. Everything people told him about, the articles he read about what he said, it just didn’t make sense. How he had hurt her, pushed her away like that. How it all went down, from the break up to Taylor and Tom, it was very confusing and the only thing he knew was that he needed to get her back.

‘I’m outside.’ The text message read as Taylor checked her phone. Taking a deep breath, she made her way out of the door quickly. Excited yet nervous about that night. She hoped she wasn’t making a mistake by doing this. This was Adam, the guy she was still sort of, very much in love with who didn’t remember anything about their break up, who was a completely different person than the guy she left, in a good way.

His car was parked in her driveway and she saw him wave before he exited the car, heading towards her with a grin on his face.

“You look absolutely beautiful.” He complimented her with a huge smile on his face. She giggled, walking towards him. He planted a kiss on her cheek. “Shall we get this whole date thing started?”

“Let’s do it.”

It's bothering me how upset I feel about i feel about mikeys new video😒 I know they didn't mean any harm, I'm just really disappointed in them all. I don't even know why I'm coming to you on this but I needed to let it out xxx

See okay I must have an unpopular opinion because I literally don’t care. Like obviously to each their own and I see why people are upset/offended, but I don’t care at all. I don’t love the trend but, the way I see it (and a lot of other YouTubers have said the same), people are getting mad about smash or pass but no one said anything about fuck marry kill where you’re literally choosing to kill someone lol. Like, I play games like smash or pass and fuck marry kill with my friends ALL THE TIME. Whether it’s about boys from school or YouTubers or other celebs, we play it all the time. The only difference is these are three hot, single boys on YouTube and me and my friends are just 19 year old girls sitting in my basement eating ice cream and talking about boys.

And I see a lot of people saying “their main audience is young girls” and you know we say that about TONS of YouTubers but when they look at their own analytics, that’s not true. Most viewers are 18+. And anyway, they started YouTube to put out what they wanted to do. They’re not responsible for making PG content if that’s not what they want to put out. It’s like when Louise started talking about sex and hook ups and relationships. She acknowledges that she has younger viewers but she’s still going to talk about what she wants to talk about, because it’s her channel and that’s why she made it.

So I totally get why people are upset. I 100% get it, but personally it doesn’t bother me. They are 20 something year old boys who are talking and acting like 20 something year old boys do. Maybe it’s derogatory. Maybe they shouldn’t put it online, but there are a lot worse things on the internet and to get mad or upset or hurt about this seems… I don’t know. I don’t know. Like I said I understand why some people are upset about it, but you have to understand that you subscribed to horny bachelors and you’re going to get content that reflects that. I saw some people unsubscribe from Mikey in the comments and that’s insane to me. If that’s what’s making you unsubscribe, damn. Maybe you shouldn’t have subscribed to the buttercreams in the first place. They’re not angels. They’re 20 year old boys doing and talking about things that 20 year old boys do.

Sorry. I respect your feelings and everyone else’s, but to see people getting genuinely upset about it and unsubscribing to Mikey or yelling at him in the comments makes me wonder if people are just becoming overly sensitive about certain things.

Smash or pass: all of the buttercreams?

IM SMASHING EVERY SINGLE ONE. THEY’RE HOT AS FUCK. See? I’ve objectified them and I put it on the Internet. We all do it. They’re humans, not reincarnations of Jesus.

evil author day: oh my god i'm just imaging three-year-old anakin and eighteen-year-old obi-wan meeting again for the first time and it being so terribly emotional and they don't let go of each other for HOURS. how would everyone react? i can see it being super public bc there is no way little ani would waste even a second after feeling his Very Important Person nearby

So, someone else asked a pretty similar question, so I’m gonna put part I here and part II on theirs. Here’s what happens when Anakin almost finds his Very Important Person in a Very Public Place.

I hate it when people question why there are fangirls when it comes to sociopaths/psychopaths or any other mentally ill character. I’m going to talk about Eddie here, because people think that women/men are insane for growing an attraction towards him. Let’s get this settled here and now.

Reasons on why someone would grow attraction towards Eddie Gluskin:

  • Physical attraction: Though he was a murderer and complete misogynistic person, he still had a gentlemanly look towards him, even before the Morphogenic Engine introduction. He had beautiful blue eyes (eyes that you’d find on Bradley Cooper, Michael Ealy, Chris Hemsworth, and Daniel Craig; if I’m not mistaken, a lot of people find these men beyond sexy and are drawn to their eyes) that shine and even after they become muddled by blood, they’re still pure and pale. His physique is rather on the larger side which, if my own and other friends of mine think, people have attraction to muscle, size difference (which means, he is obviously rather tall in their perspective) and other such things. Some people, (such as myself) like men in classical wear (which Eddie is in). Also, people have the ability to imagine sex with mentally ill characters, (judging them for it is rather poor character on your side) people (Men AND women) can and most likely have imagined rape when it comes to this character and or any other character such as this one. For example, having to consummate the marriage in order to STAY ALIVE. Eddie wants to be loved and give love, but he hasn’t the slightest clue or ability to get a clue, that what he is doing, isn’t love and is exactly what his father and uncle did to him, though he would probably be much more gracious and excessively hesitant knowing what it felt like and THINKING that it would hurt him again if he did it to someone else. (He believes this is the correct punishment for people who don’t want to be with him)
  • Mental Attraction: Eddie Gluskin is a very interesting character altogether. He has an abusive past, which many people can relate to. People may find characters with twisted minds to be interesting to write about, i.e. how their minds work, how they react to small things and big things, what they live like, what they truly want, things they can’t comprehend, what they think is right and what they think is wrong, what makes them tick, their triggers, when they snap - how do they do it. Mr. Gluskin, from my point of view, is that he may find women to be repulsive because he was treated like he really was one by his father and uncle. He felt weak and disgusting (like a whore or slut which his uncle and father probably told him many a time) because that’s how he imagined his mother (she did nothing to stop the things his father and uncle did). He must’ve felt betrayed and alone, knowing full well that she refused to leave the man that hurt him (which the father probably didn’t give her a chance to because she probably tried before, which Eddie does in the game) and somewhere deep down he knew that she couldn’t, unless she wanted to be hurt herself. However, she was obviously sweet and kind to him, always comforting him and probably holding him till he stopped weeping after having a ‘session’ with his father. So that’s why he hated her, yet treasured her at the same time (he thought her weak, but still a wonderful mother). She was his only source for love, at lease what little he could realize. That’s why he mutilated women, he loved his mother so he wouldn’t harm her, but women that probably resembled her were the ones he took his hatred out on. The kindness that Mr. Gluskin displays is probably the surefire on why people are attracted, they know he has cruel intentions, but it’s the unknown of what he’ll do AFTER you’ve married. It’s the life he may or may not try to have with you. He’s sweet, kind and loving, but only if you are willing to give yourself to him. He can switch at the turn of a knob which has you on edge all the time, wondering just what you have to do to keep him from attacking you. I personally have an attraction to the DANGEROUS unknown. I’ve been in an abusive relationship and I sort of fell off the wrong side after it (Not like I’d go back into a relationship like that). I find twisted mental states to be interesting and VERY interesting to write about. It’s rare to find a character as finely developed as Gluskin or Hannibal.
  • Emotional Attraction: Which this could fall under mental attraction as well. Mr. Gluskin has a whole lot of love to give, but at the same time an equal amount of hate. He switches, like split personality, which people have themselves and probably can come to understand his switch in behavior, though fairly extreme it is. People have Love/hate relationships with characters (you love someone so much that you could hug them to death, but at the same time they’ve done something that you completely despise you could punch them right in the face) all the time, Gluskin is a living manifestation of that relationship.
  • Horror: I love horror films, I love watching them and seeing the creepiness of it all come together. Just as much as I love them, the creator loves just as much making them. Mr. Gluskin, much like Hannibal, is very gentlemanly when it comes to the person they 'like’. It’s a false kindness, which is understood between the player/reader and character which makes the man a lot creepier. Kindness and cruel intentions don’t go together, which makes Mr. Gluskin all the more scary. Hannibal was written and millions of people LOVE reading the stories. So what is so different about someone writing a fanfiction about Gluskin. I understand they are two completely different characters, but they both are kind and have desires (though quite different) to mutilate people.

Reasons why someone doesn’t have an attraction to Eddie Gluskin:

  • They find him physically unattractive and don’t have interest in a man who has scars/wounds or just don’t have an attraction to his appearance and post-morphogenic engine appearance either.
  • His mental state is too weird and odd to them and find that it’s rather scary for someone to actually find it interesting.
  • They hate abusive characters: Point blank. Whether they have an interesting messed up past or not, there is no getting around the fact that they are abusive (which is completely understandable, I don’t like characters who are abusive just to be abusive). They hate the misogyny that he displays (I don’t like the misogyny in his character, nor will I ever like it in general, but it fits him perfectly so I have no qualms over it).
  • They imagine the character or know a person in real life who’s like this to a certain degree, so they don’t like the fact that people actually write a shipping or story about them. They find that a person who writes a coupled story of him is a person to worry over (which may or may not be true) because they think the person would fall in love with a person like that in real life.
  • They might not like gay shippings. People have written considerable amounts of Waylon/Eddie pairing stories. The person may be a fanfiction kind of person and find themselves too disturbed to find Eddie in a relationship with Waylon or anyone in the first place.
  • They shut themselves out of fanfictions about Eddie BECAUSE of the fact that there are shippings with him.
  • They simply hate fangirls SO MUCH that they stop liking Eddie Gluskin, the character himself, if he’s mentioned in a blog or drawn or anything at all.

First off, I’ll defend those who don’t have an attraction to Eddie. So, they don’t like his misogynistic ways, understandable. Misogyny is a very poor state in which we women suffer through day in and day out. It’s a horrible thing and no one should honestly be that way. Eddie is an abused character, he may be a trigger for some people and make them feel uncomfortable because of the fact that he is an abusive character due to his past and it’s something that ticks them the wrong way. I don’t like abuse, no one should. Those who don’t have an attraction to Eddie find him to be the pinnacle of what a man shouldn’t be (which is true). They don’t find an attraction towards his character, because of the fact that there are legitimately people in real life who are like this. They are found everywhere and yet no one is willing to acknowledge them and instead, grow a liking to a fictional character (just like them) who isn’t really fictional at all if you think about it.

Now, for people who have an attraction to Eddie. Okay, so just because we like Eddie does NOT mean we want to be in a relationship like that in real life. We comprehend the fact they they are not a person we should even think to be around. You honestly think we’re going to go bat shit crazy if a complete stranger tries to wed us? We aren’t insane you know. Let us express ourselves in the way that we want to, you don’t have to sit there and hate on us just because you don’t like shippings or fandoms. I will admit to the fact that fandoms are insane and do go crazy from time to time with shipping wars and whatever what not, but what makes you think that just because they exist, that you HAVE to shut yourself out of the character completely. You don’t have to partake in fandoms or shippings if you don’t want to. It’s not gonna cripple or hinder you from any kind of important information you need to know about Eddie Gluskin. If you like a character you should be able to write about it if you really want to, no?

Okay, now. I understand the issue with not liking fangirls. They can become extremely disrespectful and rude if you hate on something they like. I fangirl over a lot of things, but doesn’t everybody? You could fangirl over a certain type of puppy, or paper, or house or toilet or bed or drawing or gun or whatever what not. People have generalized the term fangirl and have associated it as something bad. I’ve seen men go crazy over a new charcoal grill, my dad does whenever he gets a new type of technology. I’ve seen women fangirl over a pair of jeans that they’ve always wanted or a new episode of an anime that they’ve been desperately waiting for. A fangirl is simply someone who has an extreme attraction to something which I would think everyone does at some point in their life. You can’t say that you’ve not become a little irritated with someone bagging on something you love (a song, a game, a book, etc.). My mom has an extreme attraction to shoes, handbags, diamonds, and clothes while I have an extreme attraction to art products like sketchbooks, tablets, color pencils and paint. Men can do it too, my brothers fangirl over certain 'badass’ characters in a game or over games in general. I go bat shit crazy when it comes to The Legend of Zelda series and get irritated if someone bags on it, but I don’t interact rudely with them. Fangirling is not a bad thing, but at the same time it can be very destructive to relationships (friendships, acquaintances, etc.) if someone is beyond defensive over something and tends to argue when they shouldn’t.

The issue here is that people think that they HAVE to be part of the fandom or a shipping if they’re going to get into a character/game or whatever. Fangirls can become excessively sensitive, but you give them a reason to be defensive especially if you’re going to call them crazy for liking Eddie or other vulgar things (haha, see what I did there). Bottom line is, don’t think or expect someone to be like you when it comes down to the things you like, dislike, find interesting or disturbing or stupid or amazing. Don’t disrespect a person for loving something or hating something. Don’t worry about fandoms or shippings, just love the character if you love them and hate them if you hate them. Fandoms and shippings shouldn’t be a turnoff to the things you want to watch/read/write. Respect each other’s personal tastes. If you are not attracted to creepy then don’t be, if you are then welcome to the club. Bag on the character but not the people who love the character. Praise the character and don’t bag on the people who bag on the character.

Hey, I have seen you reed some drarry fics and I wanted to ask you something (I don't know who to ask), can you recomend me some fics? The fics I like are the ones set during the 7 years at Hogwarts but it seems like nobody writes this :c Help pls

hey here’s some recs from when they’re in hogwarts!

At Your Service (96k) by faithwoodHogwarts students are in danger; Harry is determined to save them all. There’s only one thing he knows for certain: Draco Malfoy is somehow involved.

Sealed With a Kiss (46k) by faithwoodHarry Potter will fall in love with the first person who kisses him. Draco knows what he must do. A Christmassy Hogwarts fic, this.

Then Comes a Mist and a Weeping Rain (21k) by faithwoodIt always rains for Draco Malfoy. Metaphorically. And literally. Ever since he had accidentally Conjured a cloud. A cloud that’s ever so cross.

Storm in a Teacup (8k) by faithwood: For reasons he’d rather not think about, Draco is obsessed with Potter’s hair. This cannot end well.

An Issue of Consequence (20k) by faithwoodDraco has woken up in an alternate universe. Or he has woken up utterly insane. Nothing else can possibly explain why Harry Potter suddenly seems to think he’s Draco’s boyfriend.

Who Shagged Harry Potter (6.5k) by faithwood:  One beautiful sunny Sunday the Slytherins wake up after a raunchy night only to discover a very naked Harry Potter sleeping in their dormitory. Naturally, they ask themselves a logical question: Who the hell shagged him?

The Ties That Bind Us (28k) by faithwoodAn accident leaves Draco and Harry bound tightly together. Literally.

In Need of a Proper Hug (2k) by faithwood: Draco saves a poor, poor koala, which won’t stop hugging him.

Right Hand Red (73k) by lumosed_quillHarry felt Malfoy’s breath on his lips as they came together over the bottle, hands firmly planted on the floor as though they each needed their familiar soil, refusing to cross into enemy territory.Except that Malfoy no longer felt like his enemy.Malfoy felt inevitable.

More Than One Way To Polish a Broom (4.5k) by lumosed_quillDraco’s been hexed to want to get it on with Potter’s broom. He takes his comeuppance very seriously.

Slip into my Lover’s Hands (6k) by lumosed_quill: Draco licks his lips. He shuts his eyes, because he doesn’t think he can look at Potter when he says it. When he asks for it. “One finger?”

Kiss-Kiss (5.7k) by who_la_whoop: Draco,” Harry said, scandalised, “the teddy bears are watching.” (Or, five times Draco kissed Harry during ‘eighth year’, and the one time Harry kissed him first.)

The Potter-Malfoy Problem (29k) by who_la_whoopThe room of requirement’s gone mad — at least, that’s what Harry thinks. There’s no way that Draco Malfoy 'requires’ him, of all people, but why does it keep dragging Harry there like he’s some kind of furniture, every time Malfoy enters it? Throw in Pansy the pervert and a clipboard-wielding Hermione, and things can only go from bad to worse. And that’s not even mentioning the pirates …

How To Handle an Enemy (8k) by who_la_whoopEveryone knows that it’s no fun playing truth or dare with a Slytherin. But add a little Veritaserum, a scheming duo of Slytherin girls and surprising things can be revealed. Particularly about the fine line between love and hate…

i might have recced more hogwarts fics before so you should check it out here in my drarry recs tag!

HI :-) if you take any prompts can you please write a story where a witch make a spell to the pack in which they doest't remenber anything (like in the episode tabula rasa of Buffy, if you saw it???) and for reason Stiles and Derek think they are together but when the spell blow off everything is very awkward because they don't actually are together??? but of course sterek happy ending, because you know... (I love you're writing!)

One minute Stiles is arguing with Derek in the Jeep about what radio station they should be listening to; Scott in the back groaning; Allison hitting her forehead on the window dramatically as Derek begins waving his hands in the air— totally picked up that habit from Stiles, ha, sucker— the next they’re swerving to avoid a woman in the road.

“Fucking—” Stiles tries to guide them gently into the embankment as Derek throws a hand across his chest, and they collide into a tree with a sickening crunch.

There’s a flash of purple light and then nothing.

Stiles comes to with a strange woman wrenching the door of his car off.

“Jesus Christ!”

There’s a snarl from beside him, and a man with insane sideburns and a whole lot of teeth lurches forward. Stiles flinches as he waits for the dude to bite his face off, but instead there’s a howl of pain in his ear. He snaps his eyes open to see the guy taking a knife to his back— possibly meant for Stiles, maybe he’s been dealing drugs or stolen money? who the hell would want to stab him?!— and then Scott, oh god, Scott has fur on his face, too! Scott’s leaping through the broken window and pushing the woman away from them.

Hi I'm a young teenage white female. I was hoping you could help me understand the difference between cultural appropriation and appreciation. I want to make sure that I can be as educated on the topic as much as possible so in my future I don't offend anyone. There are certain cultures that I have been trying to learn more about. If I were to dress as one of those cultures as a way of showing respect vs. a costume for Halloween is that appropriation or appreciation? Thank you!

♕  Note: This is going to be my last post on the subject of white people and natural hair and cultural appropriation. At least for awhile. I wrote this one real quick. I hope it all makes sense and meshes well for those that are enjoying the discourse.

To Anon:

Awesome question. Awesome attitude.

First things first. There’s absolutely no correlation between dressing like a particular people and appreciating those people. Appreciation is rooted in values, empathy and action. Dressing doesn’t denote or guarantee any of these things. But, how do we know?

For simplicity’s sake, I’m just going to speak relative to Black people or people of African Descent. We heavily influenced, and in some cases downright created every form of modern music: blues, jazz, country, rock’n’roll, techno, house, trance, gospel, ragtime, swing, bee-bop/doo-wop, disco and pop. African influence on American food is undeniable. In fact, everything you call “comfort food” is influenced by the unfortunate necessity for enslaved Africans to adapt to America. Every major fashion designer has incorporated concepts from color and symmetry to cut and shape from African and urban African-Americans clothing. Throughout America, Europe and Latin America there are many words, as well as popular vernacular that were contributed by African or African-American/African-Euro/Afro-Latin. The adoption of our words, terms and casual lingo is so pervasive that when we figure about half or more White people are using our words/phrases we create new ones! Even the church in America would be different without Black people. From the songs you sing to your recognition of the Holy Ghost to how you perform baptisms, etc.

Now, I could go on and on, but I think we’ve got enough examples to make my point. How did this mass transfer of identity and culture impact Black and White people? We were enslaved for 200+ years. We suffered through Jim Crow. Our men and boys were lynched. Our women and girls were raped. There are extensive studies on the torture that was performed on us. Everything done to a farm animal sent to slaughter has been performed on a Black person - by White people. This wasn’t done with the approval of a few. Not a lot. But by most. By and large, the majority of White people agreed, participated or at minimum benefited from it. Now, how can it be that our women were allowed to serve as nannies, raising white children during and well after slavery, our music filling your ears, our dress, language and culinary skills filling your souls up and still you chose to whip, murder, discriminate and violate us at every turn? Why do these things still continue to happen? Did not culture serve as a gateway of appreciation? No, Black culture has served as a commodity. Something to acquire, control, monetize, marginalize, ridicule. In a lot of ways our culture has served as a kind of “Disneyland”. While you may enjoy everything about going there, you probably wouldn’t use the words “respect” or “valuable” to describe your relationship with it.

White people’s desire to acquire our culture stems from a deep vacuum. The absence of something in themselves and their own culture. I’m not White, so I don’t know what that is. But you must seek that out. Or create it, without borrowing. I love seeing Native (Americans) in traditional clothes. I love seeing Japanese women in Kimono. I love seeing Arabic women in  bedlah when they belly dance. But, I’ve never had a deep desire to see what Black people look like in their traditional garb. And keep in mind, unlike a lot of people who claim it, I really do have some distant Native roots! lol Never once. In fact, the idea seems idiotic. I’m not against seeing our culture subtly incorporated into fashion, music or whatever. It’s great. But, I don’t need to see a White person trying to “mimic me” anymore than I need to see a Black man dressed like what he thinks Buddha would have looked like.

What I do when I want to show appreciation for another person’s culture is I buy a book. I watch a documentary. I find new sources that report from their perspective and I try to understand what their dreams, challenges and accomplishments are. I buy tickets to their plays, art exhibitions, festivals, etc. I go, I ask questions, I smile, I marvel, I observe their customs during these events out of respect, and then I go home. I don’t mimic any of it on my own time. If I decide to buy something, I may display it in my home, rock a simple shirt or clothing item, but all-out garb, and only after I have carefully researched it. And you’ll never see a Black person with a house full of non-African artifacts. But, there are a lot of White people that do this. If you’re Irish, why not go to Ireland and buy up all the 300 yr old Irish art? Put that in your home.

I’ve met White people who go to Africa and want to be led into shrine rooms/temples that some people born in these countries have never seen. “I will build you a library or small clinic if you will take me into your most sacred worship space” they say! That’s crazy. Its insane. They say they ask out of “appreciation” and “deep respect” but if that’s the case, why don’t they help Black people demand the return of all African religious “art” to Africa? Nearly African artifact in every museum in the world that is over 50 years old was stolen! Most of it during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade! During War! That means some traditional African priest or elder or young warrior died to protect those items, and now we take leisurely weekend trips to view them behind glass in White-ran museums. Now here is a good test. Having learned this interesting fact, if you don’t (1) tell every other White person you know (2) do everything you can to draw attention to this massive injustice - then you don’t really appreciate us. You want to own the “Disneyland” parts of us, like most other White people.

This bring us back to my first point. Do your values force you to reevaluate how you perceive a people? Can you develop empathy for others and what they go through? Do your values and understanding of others compel you to work against institutional racism? If the answer is yes, you’ve joined the ranks of a very small group of White people. If the answer is no, whatever the reason, trust no one including yourself who says that is okay. It’s not. It never will be.

I know my answer makes for a duller Halloween for White kids every year, but it makes the other 364 days out of the year much better for people of color. You don’t need to own a piece of me. You need to get to know me. And all you need is a book and event calendar to make that happen. If you really want to make a difference you need to look at the global impact of racism and white supremacy and do your part to reverse it. And you need to remember that one day you’ll be an adult and you’ll have a million excuses for why its better to go to work and mind your business. At that moment, you will become a part of the problem and inadvertently become an instrument of that system that hurts, steals and disenfranchises Black, Native and Asian people. Don’t be one of those people. We’d appreciate that.

Before I end this post I want to give a Super shout-out to my interracial folks. I know these conversations are especially difficult for you. Here’s where I stand: If one of your parents is a person of color, you’re a person of color. I can’t take that away from you. No one can. And why would we? I know many of you know the truth better than us. Which can make things especially uncomfortable. I know some of you didn’t get exposed to both sides of yourself and are hearing some of this for the first time. I believe 100% of what I’m saying. But, I also love you 100%. No contradiction. No issue. Submit ‘ya pics! lol

So you don't like the next generation? why?

It’s not that I don’t like the next generation, it’s just that I cannot relate to them and to the premise of this “perfect world” where they live and that bothers me.

You’re probably asking me this because of this post that I just reblogged, right? I think that it’s a great analysis of the epilogue/next gen but, if you’ll let me, I’d like to say a few things more.

The epilogue shows us the idea that the next gen is an era where the heroes of our childhood are fine. They have full lives and complete happiness. “All was well.” So their world is perfect now. Ok, this is great. But oh my god, they are from a broken generation. They came from a world that is full of prejudice, hate and war. It’s awesome to know that they are ok after everything, but it’s really naïve to think that this horrible past didn’t leave them with deep emotional scars. Post-war traumas are a serious and real issue in our world. As it was really well stated in the post that I mentioned, it’s strange to see them “cured” from their problems – or seemingly cured – without showing us how they did it. It’s important to us to know how they were able to get through the post-war. It’s the moment when everything is changing and changes are so difficult. Everyone is afraid of changes. So leaving us in the dark was something that really bothered me.

But most of all, I have to say that this disconnection between me and the next generation makes me lose interest in them.  I’m interested in people that I can relate to. That’s why the marauders era is so important to me.

The marauders era is the beginning of the darkest era of the wizarding world. They are the kids who grew up with the ascension of this horrible and evil force that is killing and torturing and recruiting even more people every single day. They are kids who grew up with the fear of having their family, their friends, their loved ones or themselves killed at any moment. They are kids who grew up to be soldiers in a war that was created out of pure hatred and prejudice. Some let themselves follow the wrong path (some by fear, others by interest). But some of them decided that love and kindness and equality were worth fighting for. And, oh, these are the people that we should talk about.

I want to know about not only Sirius and Remus and James and Lily. I want to know about Marlene Mckinnon and why she and her entire family were murdered by death eaters. I want to know what Dorcas Meadowes did to frighten Voldemort so much that he went after her himself. I want to know about Peter Pettigrew, this fat little boy who everyone thinks was so stupid. I want to talk about the reasons why this boy who is despised by everyone changed sides in the war. How a boy who grew up with people that were fighting for the right things, and who himself was fighting for these things in the beginning, went to the wrong path? How a boy who everyone thinks was so stupid could trick so many people, people that everyone considers so smart?

I want to see people talking about Regulus Black, the boy who made wrong choices but who, in the end, had such a heroic death. The boy who, despite his family and his allegiances, was able to change his mind about matters of right and wrong, who then chose to do the right thing in spite of his own well-being.

I want people to love Andromeda Tonks like I do because she is so important. She tells us that it doesn’t matter where you are from and what people expect from you, you’re the one with the power to write your own history and It’s nobody’s business who you love.

I want people to think with admiration about Frank and Alice because they let that some maniac torture them to insanity instead of  betraying their friends and their beliefs. They chose to lose the chance to see their son growing up over giving information that would allow  their friends to be killed.

I want to know about Sirius. The boy who showed us that it doesn’t matter who your family is, you don’t have to perpetuate their prejudices and wrong choices. You make your own destiny. You can choose to be good even when everyone is telling you that it is in your blood to follow a certain path.

I want to scream of the top of a roof about Remus Lupin. Because Remus is the one who showed us that sometimes bad things happen to good people and that is not their fault. Our diseases don’t define who we are. We are more than broken bones and bloody hands and conflicted minds.

I want people to see that James was more than an arrogant boy. James was the one who could easily choose to step aside and be safe under his blood status and respected name, but he didn’t do that. He decided that it didn’t matter if you were born rich or poor, if you were from an important family or if you didn’t have a family at all. The only thing that matters is your character and what you do to make the world a better place. James showed us that doing nothing in the face of injustice is being on the side of the oppressor. He showed us how much bravery you need to sacrifice yourself for the ones you love.

I want to know about Lily, this fierce girl who is not going to take your shit. The girl who made friends with people that no one else cared about, but who had the guts to cut off a toxic relationship when it came to it. The girl who said “I’m my own master and you can’t tell me what to do”. The girl who cried because she was human.  The girl who gave the world a chance to fight against evil with the strength of her love.

I want to know the love story of James and Lily because they are a symbol of hope. They showed us that love is something that is worth sacrificing yourself for.

I want to praise and I want everyone to recognize all those unnamed people who sacrificed themselves in the war because they chose to fight against oppression.

Especially because all of those people are the beginning of the resistance. They are those responsible for the chance that the subsequent generations had to win the war that they started fighting and that very few lived to see end.

So I don’t want to know about the generation that came after everything’s good. I don’t want to know about the generation that enjoys the great world that their ancestors built. I’m so glad that they have the chance to live in this world, but my interest is in the people who became soldiers knowing that theirs wouldn’t be a perfect world. The people who fought for their sons and daughters and grandchildren with the hope that one day the future generations – the epilogue generation – could enjoy the achievements of their brave choices and heroic deaths.

The Real Story of Annie and Finnick's Relationship?

Everyone has their own way of perceiving the relationship between our favourite District 4 lovers- Annie Cresta and Finnick Odair. So while scrolling through my dash I saw seevikifangirl posted a great opinion on her thoughts of Annie and Finnick’s relationship explaining that they fell in love after her games (the 70th Hunger Games).

I completely understand and agree with what she has to say, but I decided to post my headcanon(s) on what I personally believe to be how Annie and Finnick met. I’m pretty sure these have been influenced by popular Fanfics I’ve read (I’ll link them after each explanation)! I have a total of two possibilities lol

Headcanon #1: Annie and Finnick happened to be childhood friends and had a strong bond before the 65th games. After winning, their relationship had a slight strain due to the fact Finnick was always being called into the Capitol and he couldn’t tell her why. I also believe Finnick made a deal with Snow to keep Annie out of harms way while he was being prostituted. Adding on to this headcanon, I believe something must’ve happened to result in Annie being reaped 5 years later (Finnick proposes? Says something about her in the Capitol? Options like those, but it’s still up in the air for me), similar to the way Snow changed the 75th Quell Card as an attempt to get rid of Katniss and calm the rebellion. A fanfic that sort of inspired this can be found here!

I love this Fanfic even though some parts are kind of inaccurate compared to the content of The Hunger Games Trilogy such as how long Finnick’s games were, how Annie’s games went, etc. But overall it’s super cute and I cried my eyes out reading it. Way too many feels for this girl. But that’s okay cuz I loved it.

Headcanon #2: Annie and Finnick didn’t have a strong bond before his games (imagine something along the lines of Katniss and Gale before they met hunting in the woods). Annie knew of Finnick, Finnick knew of Annie- nothing beyond that. Annie found Finnick handsome, but knew he was a flirt and a lady’s man so she knew to stay away. However, when she was reaped 5 years later to the games, Finnick automatically felt a bond with her and then became her mentor.

I believe Finnick fell in love with Annie during training, while she was in the games, and even after her victory despite the fact she came out “mad.” I also strongly believe Finnick loved her for who she was and stayed with her because she was the woman he loved completely and wholeheartedly- NOT because "he felt the need to.“ Do not give me that or I will cut you.

I will continue explaining this headcanon now lol

In Catching Fire, Peeta even mentions, "Annie’s the one who went mad when her district partner got beheaded. Ran off by herself and hid. But an earthquake broke a dam and most of the arena got flooded. She won because she was the best swimmer” (Catching Fire, Ch. 24). Annie won her games fairly, even with the outside of the arena earthquake, there was no way anyone could’ve rigged her games. I don’t know where the ideas of Finnick rigging the games for her to win came from, because I believe that’s physically impossible even for Finnick Odair (not matter how much in love he was) in the Capitol. It’s obvious he cannot reveal that he’s in love with her because he would lose his appeal amongst the Capitol citizens and Snow would be PISSED!.So all Finnick could do during her games was sit back and watch.  But luckily she won (cries tears of joy).

Since Annie suffers from PTSD, it’s probably likely that the Capitol people didn’t find her to be a “fun victor” or bullshit like that, and they probably mistook her to be crazy and completely insane. So her image was complete shot down in the Capitol due to the fact she “went mad.” In the Hunger Games, Katniss points out how certain things don’t play well with the Capitol audience such as Titus, the District 6 tribute who turned to Cannibalism during an unknown year’s game. Katniss states, “There was some speculation that the avalanche that finally took Titus out was specifically engineered to ensure the victor was not a lunatic” (The Hunger Games, Ch. 10). As a victim of PTSD, Annie must’ve only spent a short amount of time within the Capitol “entertaining” the people as the Victor with the celebrations, dinners, Victory Tour, etc. Additionally I believe Finnick made a deal with President Snow to keep her away from people in the Capitol and to allow her to live a quiet life in the Victor’s Village in District 4.

My idea of Annie remaining within the Districts away from the Capitol during festivities after winning is also supported at the end of Catching Fire. "A hoarse voice asks a question. ‘No, I’m sorry. There’s no way I can get you to Four. But I’ve given special orders for her retrieval if possible. It’s the best I can do, Finnick.’ “ (Catching Fire, Ch. 27). This happens shortly after The Rebels break out Beetee, Finnick, and Katniss from the arena. Since it is within the time period of the Games going on, why wouldn’t Annie be in the Capitol Games Headquarters like every other Mentor? (We know Haymitch remains in the Capitol because Katniss mentions, "I know Haymitch and Effie will not be going with us. As soon as they leave here, they’ll be at the Games Headquarters, hopefully madly signing up our sponsors, working out a strategy on how and when to deliver the gifts to us ” (The Hunger Games, Ch. 10)).

A fanfic that definitely influenced this idea for me is 65thvictor’s. I don’t have the exact link but it’s all over their profile- and it’s SPECTACULAR. Even though I’m not even close to finishing, go read it. I cried- you will cry. It’s just so good

So I definitely had a lot more evidence and extra thought to support my second headcanon, but I still like to consider the first one because it’s super cute and who doesn’t love childhood romances that continues to grow and develop throughout the years? As much as I love seevikifangirl’s explanation of them falling in love after the 70th games, I can’t get my self to come to terms with because these two headcanons have and always will be within my heart but I am definitely always open to reading other’s views.

Other fanfics that I recommend are sabaceanbabe’s Treading Water and anything my-odestiny has posted- Tempest Rising is killing me (with my own feelings).

Wow that was long. If you’ve made it this far, you are an absolute rock star and I hope you like what you’ve read. Please leave your comments, opinions or any recommendations for different fanfics!

jujuclark replied to your post: SWAT is on now, and later The Town will be on.

I can’t watch the Town seriously because I come from Boston.

Is it more the accents or the portrayal in general? I only ask because I’ve been to Boston a few times and have some family you there and even I can’t take the accents seriously, but you live there so you may have different feelings.

I just side eye the fuck out of it for most of the movie. But then arms and face happen, so I can push those thoughts away.

Hey! I love your Sherlolly Fanfictions and I can't get enough of them! I don't know if you're still taking requests, but I thought about what would happen if Molly and John were engaged and Sherlock needed to tell Molly he loved her before they get married. I can't get it out of my head and I'd LOVE to see it written out. And don't worry about the length, I like long stories! If you would be so kind as to write this, I'd really appreciate it!

Hi Nonny, I had to tweak your prompt a little bit because (a) love triangles are a genuinely difficult subject for me and (b) I cannot imagine John and Molly in a romantic way. And by John, I’m assuming you mean John Watson.

So I’ve twisted this to avoid the bumps that make me uncomfortable and hopefully the intrigue of it makes up for not following your prompt through. I have my boyfriend to thank for this brainwave of using another John (Helloooo, John H.) as opposed to John Watson. So thank you, boyfriend!

Also this is insanely long and a little haphazard. In any case, I hope you’ll all enjoy it somehow. x

Secrets & Rhythms

The change had been so subtle that even the great consulting detective had not noticed. Molly seemed to smile a little more to herself, particularly so when he was not in the room. He had only found this out when he walked past the morgue and peered into the circular perspex panels of its doors. There she was, smiling sweetly to herself as she made notes on her clipboard, carefully circling the grey body she examined. However, it was only when she started forbidding him to come to the lab at night, that he really pricked up his ears and took note.

I need advice. I love Josh and everything, but some news or pics about him make me really depressed and it's not healthy. I want to be a normal fan and don't care about him so much. I have been thinking leaving THG fandom for a while, but Idk.What would you do?

I’ll be honest, even though what I’m about to say will make me sound insane to some people but whatever, if it will help you then I’ll be real.
