Black Canary Appreciation Post since y’all love to sleep on my girl so much
  •   Her Canary Cry is strong af. My girl can break things, shatter metal, kill aliens, rip almost anyone’s head off with it.
  • “She possesses a incredible degree of control over her vocal cords. This enables her to mimic sounds and generate any sound she desires.“

  • "Canary Cry has been able to reach 300 decibels, which is enough to make a person’s ears start bleeding even if they’re not the target.

  • MARTIAL ARTS. She is one of the most skilled martial artists in DC. She is an expert at hand-to-hand combat.
  • She is a very important member of Justice League. Even led it.
  • In Young Justice, Black Canary provides counseling to the team after tragedies.
  • She offered training to the girls she (they) has rescued.
  • here she is, holding her own against some Amazons. (AMAZONS, PEOPLE.)

  • And here she is kicking some *** because why not?
  • She doesn’t take shit from anyone. And i mean ANYONE.
  • Remember when Superman&Batman&Wonder Woman had secret meetings and tried to lead the league behind her back? NAH-UH.
  • “In our line of work, asking a favor means asking someone to put their life on the line. Dinah Lance, The Black Canary, doesn’t even hesitate one moment.”
  • “Why should i fear you?”

“Because i fight like a girl.”

To summarize, Dinah Lance is a very powerful, strong, caring, kind, badass, amazing, talented, smart woman who deserves to be loved and appreciated way more.

  • Ravenclaw: There's going to be snow!
  • Sytherin: Yup, enough to bury small animals.
  • Ravenclaw: Why must you be like this?
  • Slytherin: Why are you so excited about it?
  • Ravenclaw: Because now I can sit in front of the fireplace and read books.
  • Slytherin: You do that anyway.
  • Ravenclaw: Yeah, but now there's aesthetic.

i think a lot of us lesbians would benefit from putting extra thought in before using terms like “non-lesbians.” i think there are times when discussing lesbian-specific issues that the term is useful to emphasize the specifics of our experiences as women who love only women and not men and the inability of people without those experiences to understand certain things we face but i keep seeing it used in ways that suggest bi women are somehow equal perpetrators of lesbophobia as straight women, or that bi women never experience certain things that lesbians do, too. if you’re about to use the term non-lesbians or any other wording that refers to everyone except lesbians, first ask yourself: is this truly something that implicates all non-lesbians to a relatively equal degree? is this truly something that hurts only/primarily lesbians, and not bi women as well? does the statement i’m about to make unfairly group bi women in with our shared oppressors, or imply that they are in at all equal positions in society?

Here’s another sneak peek for the final chappy of Home, which I’m aiming to post in June (60 drawings + Lupus = Julie needs extra time) but now it’s 42 paintings down, 18 to go!! Thanks for your unending patience ♥

the thing about Bakugou is that, in the limits that his personality allows, he’s soft for Kirishima - he calls him by name, listens to him and always answers him, tries to help him out as best as he can, accepts his help when Kirishima offers it, actively works to make him feel better when he’s down, never yells at him unless it’s an answer to Kirishima’s teasing, has no problems in complimenting him and pointing out his strength, he’s soft for Kirishima

he openly considers him a friend and treats him as such, he cares and doesn’t really try to hide it, though his inexperience in showing that sort of feelings does make him come off as awkward now and again

I guess what I mean to say is it’d be nice if the fandom could remember that, instead of writing him as angry and prickly and downright offensive and uncaring when dealing with what has been recognized by the canon as his best friend and someone he does enjoy the company of over and over again
