Why do you watch Lucifer if all you're gonna do is bitch about it?
Cowardly Nonny, you must be one of those idiot fans who thinks liking something means you’re not allowed to question it.
Have you noticed I never criticized any of the content in season 1 or 2? That’s because there was really nothing worthy of criticizing. I liked them without question, despite the smaller budget. I had unfounded worries that turned out satisfactory (like the resolution with Lucifer’s mother). But that was it.
Despite the higher budget something seems off this season and I suspect I know what it is. The head writer has been assigned the task of remaking… sorry, “Re-imagining” Disney’s Flight of the Navigator. And I am afraid it has become a serious distraction.
Admittedly there are a few shining moments this season. I like being taken by surprise. The twist of last week’s episode took me by surprise. The reasoning behind how Hell works is unnerving but it was bothersome in Sandman and American Gods. (Too much potential for innocent damnation.) And I loved Mazikeen’s stand alone episode. As well as the first episode of the season. The Vegas one was also fantastic. But I know most of the great moments are left overs from season 2 as three or four episodes were borrowed from season 2 to pad out this third season while Mazikeen’s actress gave birth.
Now, as you expect being a fan of something to mean liking everything without question kindly… GO FUCK YOURSELF!
Liking a show, book series, movie series, or even rock band does NOT require you to like every story or every lyric. I can like Fred Saberhagen’s Dracula book series while hating book 7 (Question of Time). I can like the band Queen and still question the lyric “Give me fried chicken!” at the end of One Vision. It’s okay to like something AND be critical of it.
Now go fuck yourself and have a nice day. :-)
