i have no idea who the artist is

I should be sleeping but

  • In an old timey setting where new continents and churning seas are waiting to be explored. And of course, exotic species to charm and excite the imagination
  • King Oikawa decides to fund an expedition to a newly discovered group of islands. He wishes he could see the world for himself tbh, but the throne is a very sticky and uncomfortable seat he can’t peel himself away from
  • He selects a handful of naturalists, artists and intellectuals along with a competent crew and a few doctors to head out into the great unknown. Among them is Iwaizumi, his best friend
  • The head naturalist is Tsukishima, who constantly butts heads with Sugawara the poet
  • Bokuto and Kuroo both specialise in avians. They go into the forest and get all excited over a unique bird call that’s unlike anything they’ve ever heard before. It’s melodious and charming, but very short. “Ololololo~”
  • But it’s actually Tendou being impressed with native reptiles and all the butterflies Ushijima has managed to collect. He finds it ironic that such rough hands can handle something so delicately.
  • Iwaizumi and Lev bond over their love for beetles
  • Daichi, the captain of the ship, is a hair too proud of his navigation skills and promptly gets lost on the island. HE DISCOVERS THEY’RE NOT ALONE. AHHHH!!
  • Sakujima, the native, is even MORE terrified. They end up stuck in a cave with Daichi trying to make polite conversation. But it’s very awkward because Sakujima doesn’t speak the same language and refuses to sit anywhere near him. He’s heard of old tales about strange people bringing plagues with them and leaving behind a trail of bodies
  • Ennoshita, the painter, stumbles upon some mysterious mushrooms. Akaashi, the doctor, is extremely concerned and hopes everyone else is more reasonable and wouldn’t stuff suspicious plants in their mouths

anonymous asked:

there's a theory that philip's dad is a serial killer ?????? PLEASE SHARE OMG

to  clarify, this  is  my  deadass  theory.

but my theory stems from the fact Eyewitness was all about foreshadowing and dramatic irony. What we know is Helen never caught the killer and we still don’t know who or where Philip’s dad is. In an interview, Tyler said that he abandoned them when he was little/ before he was born. We are also given that his mom used to be an artist and got into drugs. I have no idea how it connects still, why mama shea would get into a relationship with that kind of person,  but maybe he snapped and maybe got into a lot of bad shit. I’ll leave it to the writers.

It’s more of a crack!theory than anything, but I feel like it’d make for a great plot tbh

Like imagine if season2 has the serial killer in Tivoli. This would make sense because Helen no doubt made front-line news about killing a corrupt FBI agent. She left Buffalo, so it was hard to find where this cop who was right on his tail was. So maybe her getting attention lead to the killer, who she said was playing mind-games with her, went and gave her more reasons to be paranoid. Then he finds out Philip is her son and it’s clear he’s not going to hurt Philip and it makes no sense until it’s revealed it’s his dad

like could you imagine???

Sorry for not posting much, school and.. life.. has been and still is a bit overwhelming.

Anyways, in the honor of Tom of Finland (A movie that came out a couple of says ago) I drew this quick sketch of a more masculine leather Glanni!! Basically, Tom of Finland was the stage name of Touko Laaksonen (1920-1991), a Finnish artist who drew homoerotic art and pretty much created the manly leather gay man image we see today, and made a huge impact on the gay community with his art. The movie is a biography of his life and it’s so well made and amazing!! It’s great to see a movie about someone like Touko be mainstream in a country like Finland, where most people are still quite close-minded. If you get a chance to see it somehow (I have no idea if they’re playing it in different countries), please do! Here’s a link to a trailer with english subs: x

I think one of the fun things about both rping and writing fan fiction is getting to flesh the characters out even more than they are canonically. So… you can give them nervous habits, hobbies… I love it.

I like to think that Yoosung is a closet Disney fan who loves to sing the songs at the top of his lungs.

Post-secret end Saeran is an artist to me. I follow the same sweet tooth and clouds thing everyone else does, but I also like to have him love the night sky and constellations too… and an interest in the mythology behind them. Why? No idea. Just do.

I almost aggressively headcanon that Seven is either genderfluid and just doesn’t realize it yet or that he really really really loves crossdressing, but I prefer the former. Also I fully support the notion that he teases Yoosung so much bc he has the hugest crush on him.

Jumin is autistic to me (a person with autism), which is partly why his emotions are hard for him to comprehend. The constant fiddling with his sleeve is a stim in my world.

I don’t really have many behind Zen or Jaehee yet because I haven’t focused on them but… know I also think everyone is bi. ^^

So honestly I don’t know of a better way to go about this, since the embed html function never seems to work for me, and Twitter doesn’t make it easy to reblog content from it onto Tumblr in any other way.  (Though if anyone has suggestions for that, please let me know.)

Hadron Collider is an artist who posts to Twitter.  They have a tumblr, but not much has been posted there, and none of their art.

If you haven’t seen their art before, I strongly urge you to go to their Twitter and check it out.

The only thing I can really say is, their art is beautiful and astonishing in both execution and the ideas expressed.  I would reblog it all, if I could.

Okay, so Yuuri’s hobby is gaming.

Has there been art done of him playing video games? Is there an artist somewhere who also finds the idea of Yuuri gaming in baggy house clothes, thick socks, in the zone and ignoring a whining Viktor in the background cute as hell?

For some reason, I imagine Yuuri to be a console gamer? I think we have only seen him with his laptop, but still, I don’t know. Somehow I imagine him playing solitary games and RPGs. He probably tried MMORPGs, I guess. While I think Yuuri would get stressed out by the demands of real-time gaming - not to mention the weird-ass angry players… yeah, I’m looking at you Russians - it’s also fun to imagine him as that Asian kid with a strong af high-level mage trouncing everyone else. But maybe his one true online friend is Phichit, lol.

Plot twist: Yuri Plisetsky is an Angry Russian Gamer™ and probably encountered Yuuri at some point online without either of them knowing.

Vampire hunter/Vampire AU Rhack..!

Woo! Glad I got to finish this before Halloween ended haha. I wish I could color this too but I just don’t have the time. :’( October has been an especially busy month for me.

This drawing is a small thank-you gift to all the rhack fan-artists and fanfic writers who shared amazing stories, artworks, and ideas with everyone else.

Since I’ve understood the charm of Borderlands and rhack beginning of this year (2016), going through your works after a tough day has been one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had (and still continues to be! :D

Thank you for being awesome and I hope you all have a great Halloween!!

You know what, I’m getting fuckign tired of this

Lets come up with some hypothetical scenario. Say I wanted to make a gender bend, say I wanted to turn Lance Mcclain from a user of he/him pronouns, to a user of she/her pronouns. Lance as a boy, looks like this

So, I’m gonna genderbend this character, ready? The picture of Lance below is now Lance Mcclain but now they will be a girl

Are you surprised? Well I wouldn’t be surprised if you were, since common genderbends usually make that character into stereotypes for that gender

When you genderbend a character you are implying that

  • All people fit on the gender binary
  • All characters are cisgendered
  • Someone who uses she/her pronouns must look traditionally feminine while a user of he/him pronouns must look traditionally masculine
  • And when you Change Lance’s name to Laura or Lily or whatever the fuck, your implying that names have to change with your gender identity

So artists, your art is amazing and lovely and you have great skills! But when your idea of a gender-bend is turning a teen aged boy into a character with big boobs and an hourglass figure, guess what, that is harmful!

I know making art is hard and it’s very time consuming and I’m greatful artists with such great skills wanna draw for our fandoms! Your amazing! But you have to know your media will spread and when someone who’s young sees that art and starts thinking that in order to be a girl you must look ‘feminine’, that affects how they view the world! And they take those stereotypes with them.

You want proof? You don’t believe me? I used to be that child! I was young and impressionable and I saw these amazing drawings and for a while I thought that in order for me to be a girl I had to look like those girls in the pictures! And when I looked at the girls section of the clothes store and I didn’t want to wear anything that was there, It did tremendous damage on my self confidence!

I was going through reblogs and reading tags and @occultgoths brought to my attention that genderbends are also intersexist! Since the implication that in order to belong to a certain identity, you have to have a certain pair of genitals or ‘look like’ that certain identity is also harmful to intersex people! Thank you to that person for bringing this to my attention!

Special thanks to @amazingstuartwhoisnotonfire who gave me wonderful ideas and inspiration when my brain had died. Love you, Moose

He finds Dean outside, under a tree. His legs are pulled up and he’s hugging them, head resting on his knees. Cas can’t tell if he’s crying or not- he would have been, after what had happened. But he’d never seen Dean cry, except for that one time at his mom’s funeral.

Castiel quietly sits down next to his friend. Dean looks up at the sound and the feeling of Castiel’s leg against his, and he definitely cried. His eyes are red and there’s still tears on his face.

“I’m not- I didn’t- I didn’t cry.” He huffs angrily and sniffs.

“I know.”

hello yes this episode destroyed me emotionally and I need to talk about it.

I am also an athlete who skates. I have cried after competition, too. This is a pain I am intimately familiar with. You skate until your legs are numb and your chest is on fire and if you still lose, then you cry to pour out that pain. It is cathartic, but there is a certain raw vulnerability that comes after. That tenderness is exposing, and with his muscle memory carrying him through his routine, Yuri seems to experience a few moments of critical honesty.

Victor is his idol, but he had no idea how to handle Yuri’s emotions, his anxiety as an athlete and an artist. And Victor should have expected it, it didn’t come out of nowhere. That’s a huge part of a coach’s job, and he’s not good at it yet.In some ways, Victor is also out of his depth. He is trying, but he is flawed.

I said I am also an athlete who skates, and I can tell you something about a lack of self confidence: sometimes it protects you. It allows you to set the bar low for yourself. But Yuri is coming from that fragile place, that openness, and he doesn’t have the energy to build up his old cocoon. And finally, without that hero worship blinding him, Yuri is able to see himself. The routine is going well. He feels good, even though he barely slept and warmups were bad.

The fact that he does not land the jump is immaterial. The fact that he attempted it is what is important. The attempt is a declaration. He’s saying “I think I can do this”. And from someone who ostensibly spent a great deal of his career trying to shield himself from disappointment by saying “I can’t”, that is huge. It is amazing growth, a fantastic leap over a terrifying chasm. It’s beautiful.

you sure did, kiddo

Ps..super SUPER busy… but I don’t want to stop drawing sketches mainly becausse I love doing them, and also because If I stop, it’s so hard to start again and I’d be upset if I wasn’t able to get my ideas down on paper anymore. I’m Ok having simpler, easier sketches for a few weeks or months as long as I know I’ll get back in the swing of things later.. but I’m not OK saying.. I’ll just do it some other time.. I’m saying this for the students and artists who tend to put off till the next day drawing something!,, but again, that’s just MY point of view!

I think I went a little overboard putting male Robin in a yukata

But I got the idea from an otome game I play bc I was admiring the kitsune mask of my fave chara (who also has white hair lol) which was my main insp for this and I was like…you know who else has a purple/gold color scheme and also has white hair? ROBIN.

Bonus: Robin’s a youkai or is the vessel of a demon spirit (like Grima lol)

The tutorial above is for those of you who prefer cool toned eyeshadow looks. Not everyone likes or suits warm eyeshadow - which we have come to associate with Valentine’s Day makeup tutorials nowadays. So this halo effect eyeshadow is perfect for those of you that love a smoky eye with more of a sombre finish.

My latest tutorial uses the exact same technique as the tutorial above except I’ve swapped the colours from cool to warm, and added in an accent colour.

This tutorial is still one of my favourites! If you’re a fan of colour then definitely check out this tutorial, it will not disappoint. Who says you have to sport Red this Valentine’s Day?

If you prefer something more subtle then take a look at this makeup tutorial. Simplicity at it’s best… but still on trend for Valentine’s!

Another favourite of mine. This is a look I get a lot of requests for from my clients. If you love to sport a sexy feline eye then you need to try out these techniques!

The idea we’re given of reading is that the model of a reader is the person watching a film, or watching television. So the greatest principle is, “I should sit here and I should be entertained.” And the more classical model, which has been completely taken away, is the idea of a reader as an amateur musician. An amateur musician who sits at the piano, has a piece of music, which is the work, made by somebody they don’t know, who they probably couldn’t comprehend entirely, and they have to use their skills to play this piece of music. The greater the skill, the greater the gift that you give the artist and that the artist gives you. That’s the incredibly unfashionable idea of reading. And yet when you practice reading, and you work at a text, it can only give you what you put into it. It’s an old moral, but it’s completely true.

“Every so often, you hear stories on the news about a toddler who somehow manages to start the family car and drive the vehicle across town, where the law finally apprehends him—and it’s almost always a him—before too much damage has taken place,” Barry Blitt, the artist behind this week’s cover, says. “As to why this would come to mind on the week of our new President’s Inauguration … I have no idea!” – The New Yorker
