SUMMARY: You and Jensen are best friends, you accompany him to Nashville for the convention and drunken hijinks ensue!
Pairing: Jensen Ackles x (bestfriend!)reader
Word Count: 1810
Warnings: Some swearing
A/N: So i have been struggling with writing and what not, and the other day this idea hits me. I am basing it off the information that I saw about NashCon and it just grew to this fic. This would be my first attempt at writing a possible more than friends type fic based on the actual actor. I mean no disrespect to Danneel, we will just consider her happy with someone else for the purpose of this fic. Also a huge shout out to Daddy B aka @bigdaddymongoose, she is my rock and helps me out sooo much with writing!
“C’mon you two, let’s hit another bar!” Jared laughed, drunk off his ass already.
You giggled, watching your best friend trying to walk unaided. His bow legs making the staggering all the more comical. Finally, he made it to your side, he threw an arm around you, almost knocking the two of you to the ground.
“I think Jay here has had enough,” you snickered.
After the tour of the Jack Daniels Distillery and all the free shots, then the dart throwing game with Jason and the guys and more shots imbibed. Next, Creation Ent wanting to celebrate Jay’s birthday during the Saturday Night Special concert with you guessed it more alcohol involved. Let’s just say when Jay sang Tennessee Whiskey, he was almost three sheets to the wind then. If Jared got his way, this would be the third bar you all hit.
Jensen started shaking his head, “No, I-I think we need more bars,” he grinned. “Me likey, more acl-aco-alc-,” he furrowed his eyebrows like he was concentrating, “drinks.”
You laughed, “I think everybody is done for the night. You two have a panel in the morning, remember?” You smacked Jensen’s hand away from your face as he tried to “boop” your nose. “Stop that!”
Jared just gave you “Sam’s puppy eyes”, “Nope, Pada-gigantor, those will not work on me. I am impervious to “Mr. Awesome,” you jerked a thumb at Jensen, “you don’t stand a chance my tall friend.”
How do you create characters? Or do they come find you and tell you their stories?
I’m afraid it varies! It really depends on the
situation. It feels too pragmatic to sound creative but too creative to sound
creative end, sometimes the characters do come to me. But they usually
aren’t presenting their stories outright.
In a literal sense, a character idea will pop in my head, so
I’ll write up a little about them—the things I feel to be true—and sometimes
give them a piece of flash fiction (or something else short) so I can get a
feeling for how they are and if they fit my initial assessment.
I prefer character-driven media, so I focus on what the
character is like and figure out what they want. For example, my second
NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) was a story about a writer. (Wow, yes,
I know. So original. Writing about a writer. Yeah.) I didn’t know what the
writer wanted, but I knew what she was like. I knew her base situation as well.
If you know their base situation (where they are at the beginning of the story
or slightly prior to it), you can figure out what makes them unhappy about it.
After all, stories are about journeys, whether they are emotional or physically
moving to a different place or whatever.
My writer character felt like she didn’t have the life
experience to be a good writer. Summer comes, and she chooses to take that time
to travel to different places and meet new people. One conflict is that her
parents don’t really want her to go, especially by herself, because she was
only 17 or so.
I evaluated the character (she was an ambitious writer) and
calculated in what she didn’t like about where she was (she was an
inexperienced writer). So the plot/story came to me from there: she decides to
leave so she can travel and get life experience.
In that sense, they don’t always exactly tell me their
stories. I focused on what made the writer who she was and what kind of growth
she needed to take, not necessarily the growth she wanted.
The idea was that, by the end, she had gained experience but
that she didn’t feel richer for it, so she was going to struggle with trying to
realize what she had actually learned by leaving. I never really got there, but
that was the idea.
So I didn’t say to myself, “I have a writer character, and I
want her to travel.” I said to myself, “I have a concept of a writer who is
inexperienced. She wants to travel to get that valuable experience. I guess the
story should be about her travels.”
The story fell flat and unfinished, of course, by virtue of
how I intended for her to go cross-country when I had not done the same. It
felt inauthentic, and I bailed. I jammed out some nonsense so I could say I had
“won” NaNoWriMo that year.
more pragmatic view on characters is that I have a basic concept
(like, very basic, as in “I want to write about a character that worships
unicorns”) and then go through my personal questionnaires to determine the rest
of their traits and what they’re like.
Where does this character live (mountains, valley,
riverbed, beach, etc.)?
What surrounds their home (what kind of buildings,
what landmarks, what roads)?
What is the climate like?
How many moons and suns does that world have?
What is the time period?
What kind of city/town do they live in?
How many people live there? What kinds of people?
What plants (fruit, trees, spices, vegetables,
etc.) do they produce?
What animals/wildlife do they have?
What is the character’s role in that place?
Why do they have that role?
What are their goals? Are they happy with their
What is the one thing they most want to change?
What are their hobbies? What interests them?
What is their family like? Any siblings? Parents
alive? What relationships do they have with their family members (MC to father,
MC to sister, etc.)? What relationships do the family members have with each
other (mother to father, brother to sister, etc.)?
Do they have any current love interests? What has
their love life been like?
What are they good at?
Do they have any religious beliefs? If so, what
are they? If not, why?
Do they perform any rituals (religious or
What body type do they have? How do other people
perceive their appearance?
What is their view on gender roles?
I then check out what I said about their goals and
What would they need to do in order to achieve
Is it feasible?
Would it be an interesting story? Why or why not?
Who would try to stop them?
What obstacles are in the way (giant wall,
overbearing parents, lack of money, education necessities, etc.)?
Why are these goals and roles so important? Who
are they most important to?
After all that, it feels like a good time to start
plotting the story out. And it’s straight-forward from there! (Usually.) When I
start plotting, I generally go with a general idea of where things start and
where things end. Then, I can figure out what would happen in between.
Story-plotting is about way more than waiting for
the right inspiration. Being a writer is about dedication and writing, even
when inspiration is nonexistent. But you have to write to find inspiration. You
can inspire yourself simply by working. You can’t let a blank page let you
down. You have to create stories and not just wait for them to come to you.
Inspiration, though, is awesome. If you get
inspired, run with it—with all of your ability, run with it. But you won’t feel
inspiration every single day, so you have to learn how to create characters and
stories on your own.
I actually have some resources already on my blog. :) For
reasons of convenience, I include them below.

Request: I have an idea you could use to write a Bucky imagine if you’d like maybe where you and Bucky have been dating for a while and decide to get a puppy together so you go out soend the day looking for puppies and when you’re walking home you get mugged and Bucky defends you and your new pup type thing or you get the pup and introduce it to the avengers team :)
Bucky had been dating (Y/N) for a while now and he could proudly claim that he was the happiest man on the entire earth. (Y/N) was just a happy soul that wandered into his life and seemed to light up the darkest parts of his conscious. They always kept him on his toes and when he was with them, he seemed to forget about all the bad in the world.
From the beginning of their relationship, Bucky new (Y/N) loved dogs. They had a soft spot for the animal and on multiple occasions he always had to stop them from bringing home random strays. So, it was no surprise when (Y/N) brought up the idea of getting a dog.
“Bucky…” (Y/N)’s voice pipes up as they peak up from their spot on the couch to look at Bucky, who is in the kitchen cooking.
He looks up, taking in their innocent child-like expression before a smile subconsciously grows on his face. “Yes, doll?”
Bucky can see (Y/N) hesitate a moment before they climb off the couch, walking next to him and nervously fidgeting with their hands as they avoid his expectant gaze. “Can we get a puppy?” They ask quietly in a manner like they’re afraid he might say no and Bucky can feel his heart melt at their question.
He takes his food off the stove making sure his whole attention is on (Y/N) and he brings his hand up to their chin, pushing it up until their eyes are focused on his blue ones. “Will it make you happy?” (Y/N) gives a small nod and a soft smile curves on his lips before he leans down, pressing a kiss to their cheek causing a giggle to escape them. “Alright, we can get a puppy.”
(Y/N) gasps as their face lights up and they rush over, crashing their body with Bucky’s in a bone crushing hug. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
He chuckles, wrapping strong arms around them as happiness radiates off them. “Anything for your happiness.”
The next day, Bucky and (Y/N) walk hand in hand into a pet shop not far from their apartment and they are instantly met with the sound of animals. (Y/N)’s face instantly lights up at the sight of all the animals and it doesn’t take long for them to find the room where all the puppies are held. Bucky happily follows right behind and when he enters through the door, he is met with multiple little puppies running up to him.
He observes as the puppies try to claw up his leg and he only stares as they whine and bark, begging for attention. He looks up, finding (Y/N) sitting on the floor surrounded by yipping puppies and he swears he’s never seen them happier. They have a puppy pressed against their chest as four more are crawling in and out of their lap and their smile stretches from ear to ear. They look up at him before laughing. “There are so many!” (Y/N) giggles out as one of them hops up begins attacking them with kisses.
Bucky smiles before sitting across from them causing puppies to jump into his lap. “See one you like?” He asks as he begins to play with one of the puppies and (Y/N) purses their lips before observing all the puppies running around.
(Y/N) watches each one and they love every single one but one catches their eye specifically. It was a golden retriever puppy and it happily sits in their lap, content as could be. “How about him?” (Y/N) questions as they pick up the puppy from their lap and hand him to Bucky.
Bucky gently takes the puppy form (Y/N)’s hands and notice it’s fast wagging tail. He places the puppy in his lap and the puppy begins to lick his metal fingers before playfully chewing and gnawing on the shiny metal causing Bucky to smile. “I think we have a winner.”
(Y/N) squeals with excitement and Bucky smiles before standing with the puppy in hand. He hands the puppy to (Y/N) as he goes to pays for him, along with the needed items for their new addition. He receives all the paperwork and (Y/N) happily clicks the collar and leash on their new puppy as they leave the shop.
The sun is setting in the distance making the sky covered with vibrant colors and they walk silently next to each other besides the sound of (Y/N) occasionally talking with their puppy. Bucky smiles as they hold their new little addition but the moment is cut short when two men in black hoodies jumps out from the alleyway.
(Y/N) gives a scream of surprise as one of the men grab their arm as they pull out a gun while the other points a gun at Bucky. “You’ve made a bad mistake, pal.” Bucky growls out as his chest heaves with each breath, anger taking over and the man gives a chuckle as an evil smirk places itself on his face.
“I don’t think I have. Give me your money or I’ll have to take them with us instead.” The man smirks out as he points to (Y/N) and the puppy and they look absolutely terrified.
Bucky gives a sneer at the thought of them hurting (Y/N) and his puppy and he slowly reaches to his back pocket where his wallet is but quickly brings it back up, knocking the man’s gun out of his hands. Using all his strength, he punches the man, sending him into the brick building behind him with a hard crack. Bucky quickly turns to the other man who shoots at him but he blocks it with his metal arm before grabbing him and angrily throwing him several feet away.
Groaning is heard from both men and (Y/N) runs over to Bucky’s side who embraces them without hesitation. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Bucky questions with worry in his voice and (Y/N) shakes their head but their whole body shakes as they bury deeper into his side.
Bucky sends a growl at both men before cautiously guiding (Y/N) to their apartment which is only a block away and he keeps a protective hand around them the entire walk, even when they enter into their apartment.
(Y/N) silently pulls from Bucky’s strong arms as they proceed to sit on the couch, puppy clutched close to their chest. “You sure you’re okay, doll?”
(Y/N) watches as Bucky plops down next to them and they emit a shaky deep breath. “Yeah… just a bit shaken up.” Bucky nods, pulling (Y/N) back into his side and they immediately melt into his embrace. (Y/N) gently place the puppy on their lap and it curls up between them and Bucky causing both to smile. “We still need to name him.”
Bucky nods as he runs his hand gently through their hair as he stares at the sleeping puppy on their laps. “How about Tucker?” Bucky suggest as he begins to pet the retriever’s soft fur and he wakes up slightly, giving Bucky’s metal arm a small lick before falling back asleep. A warm smile spreads across (Y/N)’s face as they lean their head on Bucky’s shoulder.
money is very tight for me right now, i need to pay my tuition as well. i’m not getting a lot of hours at work anymore either, so all funds are going to go towards basic care products and food, so my paycheck just goes towards my tuition. even if you can’t buy, reblog ples and spread this around ;u;
$10 - simple headshot of your character, minimal colour, with or without decorum
$15 - B/W lined pose of your character
$25 - coloured, full-body sketch of your character
$40 - rendered original character, concept art style
*you can add bigger props to any style (animal companions, familiars, sidekicks etc) for an extra fee.
things that i will do: animals/monsters (not furries don’t know the art style), props if your character has them (weapon, ability, object, blood etc), simple backgrounds but will add on to price, your OC can be your player character from a game, OC from a tv show, anime, a self insert etc, anything really.
things i will NOT do: machinery (unless your design or weapon is steam punk or mechanical), furries, as i mentioned before, detailed backgrounds, NSFW (nudity if it’s part of your character is ok), and inappropriate themes.
info i will need: your image references, possible face claims, screenshots of your player character, weapon references etc. if you don’t have these and have no idea what they look like, then it’s okay! just describe them lightly, maybe their personality too and i will conceptualize them. i may ask you questions here and there for clarification and ideas.
Alrighty y’all I’m gonna do something that’s gonna take a ridiculous amount of effort. This has probably been done before or at least tried, but I’m gonna do it anyway.
Yours truly is going to attempt to archive all the fics in the Sanders Sides fandom. I thought of this because I was really searching for a fic that read before and I couldn’t find it and thus, this idea sprung to mind. Long fic, short fic, no pairing, all the pairings—it doesn’t matter. As long as it’s a fic, it’s going on the blog.
To make this simple, here’s what it’s gonna be like/include:
Fics on AO3 and other websites that will have links to them
It’ll function through a series of tagging systems
There will be a page where you can browse through the type of fics you like
Under each pairing, or lack thereof, there will be links to each tags
If it’s a specific story you’re looking for, that will have its own tag
Authors may or may not have their own page/tag it really just depends
I’m sure it’s going to include more but that’s all that I have for right now. Tbh this will function similarly to a library with its maintenance and whatnot so, like real life, one librarian can’t do this job alone with ease. To anyone who wants to help, I would be grateful, however, no one hasto do anything. I’m doing this because I want to.
One last thing that anyone can do with little effort is send me fics with who they’re by.
One of these Slytherins’s main defining characteristic is their desire to leave a mark, either by protesting their school’s unfair dress codes or by all-out changing the world. These Slytherins are very driven: they have a clear idea of what they want and what they need to do to achieve them. This focus is both the Visionary’s strength and weakness. While it allows them to achieve their goals, their intense focus could turn into a kind of tunnel vision that might cause them to neglect other parts of their life.
These Slytherins are defined first and foremost by their loyalty. Yes, they have goals (being ambitious is a trait that all Slytherins share), but while they are also dead-set on achieving their goals, they would refuse to do so in a way that compromises their loyalty, either to their values or their people. While it’s extremely difficult to gain a Loyalist’s trust, once you do so you could guarantee that you have a lifelong friend and ally by your side. They are the very definition of “ride or die”.
These Slytherins are the planners, the puppet masters. While this might sound like they are your typical villains, that’s not always the case. Masterminds are, simply, adept at finding connections between things and using them to their advantage. They are frighteningly efficient. They are deeply ambitious people, but unlike Visionaries they are more practical when it comes to achieving their goals. They are willing to wait for the perfect opportunity, and might even use that time to acquire new skills and knowledge that they could use in the future.
These Slytherins gain a lot of satisfaction from proving others wrong. Underdogs could be extremely prideful in that they think they can do a better job than others. At the same time, their perfectionism and the high standards they place on themselves render them very susceptible to anxiety. Like Visionaries, Underdogs know what they want and they will do anything to get it, even if it means crawling from the lowest of the low to the very top. In fact, they prefer situations that place them on the losing side, as they crave the excitement of going against impossible odds.
Beyond the Horizon has been viewed over one million times. Now I’ve hit several milestones with this story, at over 200,000 words and counting it’s the longest thing I’ve ever written, it’s won several fandom awards and it’s the most followed OUAT story on ff.net. I’ve marked some of these milestones privately, some publicly, and this is one that I definitely wanted to share with all of you!
Tomorrow on my blog I’m going to celebrate this by reblogging the amazing gifsets and edits people have made for the fic, I’m finishing up my Jealous!Killian extra scene to post, and if anyone has any questions or comments, I’d love to hear them! All messages will be posted publicly unless specifically requested otherwise, and I’ll tag everything with “bth milestone” if anyone wants to blacklist.
Thank you to everyone who has read, reviewed, followed and favourited this story over the past three years. When I first sat down and typed out the opening line, “We have found nothing of value, Captain.” I had no idea what I was going to find through this story, this fandom community that has had many ups and downs, but one that I will always be proud to be a part of.
@silveraspensart / @silveraspens and I just found a newer band that sounds ALMOST EXACTLY like Led Zep!!! GRETA VAN FLEET!How we didn’t know them before, I have no idea. But Seriously! We are both metaphorically shitting our pants as I’m typing this, because they sound like a millennial version of baby Zeppelin!!!! They’re so big for a band that only has four hecking songs out!! Morgan, the dingus encouraged me to tag a few of you Zeppelin fan blogs (sorry if that’s annoying 😭) though the discussion is obviously open to everyone. But yeah, she and I wanna spread “spread the word” so: we wanna know your thoughts, friends. What do you think of Greta Van Fleet?.
Could you please write a reaction for BTOB getting jealous because you're so into Produce 101 S2?
btob reaction where they get jealous bc you’re into pd101 s2
eunkwang: didn’t mind at first, but now your fangirling over the members of nu’est is starting to bother him, so now he dances to the theme song in front of the TV every single time you try watching it. “I can be charming too!”
minhyuk: “yah, what do they have that i don’t?” is the type to probably try singing and dancing over them to get your attention. may even intentionally change the channel when he passes by
changsub: the BIGGEST crybaby. doesn’t do it to make fun of them or to hate on them, but may point out whatever flaws he finds during performances just to take your attention away from it. “hey, their voice cracks just as much as mine does!”
hyunsik: didn’t mind it at first, but now starts inviting you to places any time the show is on. he’s the one that’s probably the most lowkey about it, but still makes it just as obvious that he’s jealous. [the show starts] “heyyy y/n come with me to the convenience store, i want food”
peniel: ok he would lowkey at first watch the show with you tbh, but then as eliminations begin, he’d start to get jealous. “peniel, you’re standing in front of the tv” “no i’m not i’m trying to show you the latest new hip hop dance”
ilhoon: OK FIRST OF ALL THIS ONE WOULD BE THE MOST WHINY OUT OF ALL OF THEM… “hey! y/n! listen to me! i can dance better than them! why don’t you love me anymore?!” of course 90% of the time he’s kidding, but he may pout and mope until you either stop watching it or pay more attention to him
sungjae: u have a 50/50 chance of him either being petty or acting like he doesnt care. kind of the same thing but he’s the type to go back and watch pd101 season 1 in front of you (even if you like don’t care at all lmao). is also the type to snatch the tv remote, hide it and turn off the tv whenever you try watching it. “what? that wasn’t me, i have no idea what you’re talking about..”
You stared blankly at the flames dancing in the fireplace. Something didn’t quite sit right with you, making sleep nigh impossible. If you could determine exactly what it was, then perhaps you could banish the anxiety from your mind and actually get some rest. Drawing the blankets tighter around you, you stared harder into the fire. Maybe if you sat long enough, something would come to you. Or maybe you’d get tired and fall asleep on the couch.
“Are you okay?”
A deep, steady voice drew you from your contemplation. You looked away from the fire and in the general direction of the voice. You didn’t want to turn on any lights out of concern of waking him up, yet you could make out his figure in the dull yet warm glow of the fire.
“Yeah, I just… couldn’t get to sleep. What are you doing up, Dark?”
“The same reason that you’re up,” he responded, coming closer to take a seat beside you on the couch. Unfortunately, the vague answer prodded more at your anxiety and you began to have an idea of why you found sleep so evasive. “You looked deep in thought. Please continue. No need to stop on my account.”
You shook your head gently. “No, it’s okay.” You considered leaning onto Dark’s arm but something nagged at you to keep your distance. “I was just wondering what was keeping me up.”
“Oh?” Dark raised his eyebrows. “And have you figured it out?”
‘I suddenly feel endangered being near you’ didn’t sound like it would be a good answer so you just shook your head. “No. But it’ll be okay.”
You had never found it so difficult to say those words before.
might i ask how you make your aesthetics? theyre so cool
Wow, thank you! I only started to make them a few days ago because I was sick and bored but they’re soo much fun!
So here is a little amateur tutorial on how to make an aesthetic:
1. Brainstorm a little bit about how you want it to look (colour, topic, some specific objects…)
2. Go to pinterst and search for said stuff. Maybe add ‘aesthetic’ and/or the color.
3. Find a LOT of pictures you like and safe them (IMPORTANT: select ‘view graphic’ before you store the graphic. The quality of the picture will drastically increase in most cases)
4. Select your pictures. I take 9 because that’s the easies for me but I also like the look of it the best. But you decide.
5. Edit them. I use paint to be honest… Give the pictures the right size and shape, maybe even change some colours or do fancy stuff if you can.
6. Now A) upload the edited pictures in the right order (I usually go for something symmetric) or B) put them all together in one picture and upload this picture (if you don’t want white stripes between the pics)
7. Tag it with everything you can think of.
8. Submit it to us so we can love it, too.
Need more input? Just ask.
You don’t want to make your own edit (or you can’t) but you have an idea for me? Tell me! (atm I’m doing ‘types of Ravenclaws’ aesthetics so just tell me what type of Ravenclaw you are!)
