i have never worked so hard

So the Yuri on Ice stage event is upon us! I’m really excited, but seeing some people’s reactions about it, I just have something to say. If there is no announcement for season 2, guys, please do not attack Kubo or anybody for it. I’m hoping and praying for it, but please be prepared. Don’t riot or say you’re never gonna support the series again. That is extremely childish and completely unnecessary. Kubo and the rest of the YOI staff worked so hard to make our favorite anime happen, plus they’ve given us merch and SOOOOOO much official art. There is no reason to be childish. If there’s no announcement for season two, there might be one another time. Be. Patient. Animating takes a long time and hard work. That’s all I have to say, thank you X3 Please reblog this!

Baby, I know you’ll probably never know how proud i am! But i am so fucking proud of you baby you deserve this soo much you worked so hard for it! Words can’t describe how proud i am! You’ re the best boy in the world and you have all a girl will ever ask for! ❤ i am so thankful that i had the privilege to live on this earth with you together, so we share this place together and i am so thankful for that baby! I will always be by your side no matter what happens i can’t believe that you’re a superstar now but you are still the same person like years ago baby!❤ Shawn i will be always a part of your fandom and i will always love you! ❤ i am so fucking proud and i love you even more 💕✨ thank you for everything you gave me! ❤

In light of obsessing over myself I just wanted to share with yall that all through grades 1-7 I never scored higher than a C and it was through sheer hard work and determination that I’m the top student in my graduating class.

So if me celebrating that rubs ya the wrong way please understand that the problem isn’t with me being confident.

It’s with you being jealous.

hi, so I've had a studyblr for a little while, but ive never posted anything bc I'm too scared that it won't get notes or that people won't like it and they'll unfollow me,, i don't really have the best handwriting and my bujo spreads don't look that great so im anxious about posting anything:/ advice?

Oh no, dear! I can tell you that the studyblr community is one of the nicest here on tumblr, and people here are very helpful and welcoming!! It’s not about having the perfect handwriting or amazing bujo, it’s about the dedication and hard work you put into your studies, or maybe even about the inspiration you get from the community, and the inspiration you give others by sharing your posts :) don’t be scared and try to talk to people here, make some friends, I can guarantee you that you will get many nice responses on your messages :) you can even write me, I’m usually around! As far as the posts go, try to tag some of the blogs you like, many people have hashtags that they often check. This way, your post shouldn’t get lost in the sea of the studyblr/bujo hashtag hehe :D the tag I use is #journalsanctuary, and I try to check it frequently.

I’m sending you all the courage and looking forward to seeing your posts!! :))

okay but i strongly relate with international idols always being my bias'!!! idk why tho like, i just feel like idols work 100% but when you're an int. idol you work 150% and i am just so soft for ppl looking after int. idols bc i will nEVEr get over how much nct looks after sicheng. i legit only have one korean bias out of the subunits and that's jaemin like, the others are chittaphon and sicheng so. i just LOVE int. idols just,,, minghao and jun and just eVERYONE fucc me up papi

yes!! yes me too duuude i cannot STRESS idk why its just international idols are so pure and hardworking… like everyone works so hard but the language barrier is honestly so stressful and they try so hard to make their fans happy? like i can’t think of many examples right now but i know for a fact many idols translate for their fans which is sO sweet just,, y'all… and i agree dude junhui and minghao have a special place in my heart too :’) idols in general are just so wonderful.. we do not deserve them. period.

okay so this is something i have never had to deal with and never thought i’d have to address, but i’m going to make this clear. WE DO NOT SEND HATE IN THIS RP! that is a no! everyone here is welcomed, and this is supposed to be a fun safe environment, i have worked hard to make sure everyone is welcomed and has plots, and to make sure we can call one another friends, and i’m going to ask that whoever sent that anon come off and talk to me. because we have to clearly talk, because no matter when a person joins this rp they are automatically welcomed and can have plots and build connections, and i’d like for an apology to be made. but i will say this one and one time only NO HATE. we never had this problem before and i’m not starting now.

(and if it is from an outside source not in this rp, then i apologize to my members, but this is a serious matter and if you have a problem come talk to me off of anon and we can work it out do not go into another members inbox and send things like that.)

Today I found out that as a fanartist I was probably given too much power

(14/2 is Yamagata’s birthday and 15/2 is Kinoshita’s and I was drawing them for it and then I wondered)

Anyone who knows me could tell you I’m no kind of artist. However, as a professional project manager, I frequently work with artists, and one of the most frequent challenges we end up dealing with is lost work due to technical issues, unforeseen circumstances, or just plain carelessness. I’ve seen projects that have lost dozens, in some cases literally hundreds of hours due to lost or damaged artwork needing to be redone - which isn’t great news for either a budget or a timeline!

Of course, this is an even bigger issue for artists who are working solo, since you typically won’t have anything to fall back on when things go south. Lost or damaged art may set back a big project’s timeline, but when you’re working for yourself, it can be an absolute show-stopper; most solo projects that suffer significant lost work never recover at all. So here’s a basic disaster mitigation and recovery plan that anybody with a working computer can set up:

1. Sign up for a Google account if you don’t already have one. The free version gets you 15GB of storage, which should be more than enough for your current projects unless you’re working with ungodly huge files; if you are, the 100GB version is only like twenty bucks a year.

2. Download and install the Google Drive sync client - I believe they’re calling it “Drive Everywhere” these days.

3. Set up a special folder on your hard drive that you’re going to keep all of your working files in, and point the sync client at that folder.

4. Configure your art program to autosave every 20 minutes or so. How exactly you do this will vary depending on the program you’re using - you can Google for instructions easily enough.

Blam. Now you have continuously updated offsite backups; hard drive crashes, lost media, or even - heaven forfend - stolen equipment will no longer wipe out your work in progress.

Plus, go into the web console for your Google Drive and right-click a file. See that menu option that says “Manage Versions”? That’s right: Google Drive keeps separate copies of every individual version of the file that’s ever existed (or for the past 30 days, if you’re using the free version). Unwittingly saved over your lineart two hours ago? Working file irrecoverably corrupted because your questionably legal copy of Photoshop barfed? No problem: just walk backwards through your version history until you find a version that’s still good.

Now, this is by no stretch of the imagination a particularly robust offsite backup and version management scheme - I’d certainly recommend additional measures for anyone who’s doing digital art as their regular paying gig - but it’s better than nothing, and it has the benefits that a. it requires no particular expertise to set up, and b. it’s free.

I gave myself permission to care, because there are a lot of people in this world who are afraid of caring, who are afraid of showing they care because it’s uncool. It’s uncool to have passion. It’s so much easier to lose when you’ve shown everyone how much you don’t care if you win or lose. It’s much harder to lose when you show that you care, but you’ll never win unless you also stand to lose. I’ve said it before. Don’t be afraid of your passion, give it free reign, and be honest and work hard and it will all turn out just fine.

“I didn’t want to take the pill anymore and I thought I could control things on my own. That was a mistake. I started to cry when I found out I was pregnant. I was terrified by the thought of the baby being 100% dependent on me. What if I wanted to travel? Or go to graduate school? Or just get the fuck away and not talk to anyone? At first I wanted to get an abortion. I even called the hotline but I never went through with it. Now my son is my life. I’ve totally abandoned myself. I broke up with the father after a year. He has a new girlfriend now. He gets to have his life, and see our son whenever he chooses. He gets to go out. He gets to go through an emo phase and decide not to work. It’s unfair. He can play with our son then go back to his life whenever he wants. I get left with the hard part. My life is my son now. And I love him, so that’s a wonderful thing. But it’s a terrible thing too.”

Chloe Fazer & Nadine Ross in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Since Exo has sold out at Jamsil Stadium I’ve been seeing a lot of people say how ‘That’s not a big deal, they were handed their fame anyways.“

Really? Really?! In 2012 Exo-K were considered flops, to be SM’s first failure. Tao was heavily hated in the beginning, and Chen and Xiumin were in an entirely new country, barely being able to speak Chinese. And in 2013 the other 4 Chinese members having to come to a new country themselves and learn the language and culture. That must of been terrifying.

People hated Wolf. People started hating on Exo once Growl became huge. They gained so many sasaengs, creepy and disgusting people causing even more stress. Having to work so hard they went to the hospital. The shock when Kris left, and Suho having to stand on stage by himself to accept an award right after. Luhan being constantly sick from overworking, eventually having to leave also. A lot of fans left in 2014, saying Exo could never recover.

They came back with Exodus, having to work so hard, it was their best and most cohesive album yet. Jongdae put so much time into dancing, all of the members took time to prove on singing, especially their live vocals. That would never be easy, and I remember how long they promoted Call Me Baby, how much effort they pit into their live vocals during that time.

They come back with Lucky One and Monster, and it is my favorite album ever. Yet people still hated on them for trying something different, which is so sad. During this Yixing has to travel back and forth constantly, still with ot8 fans bashing on him.

To all of you who say Exo got a free ticket to fame, you couldn’t be more wrong. They have faced so many hardships, so many challenges. Yet they kept pushing and trying and growing. All of them having the mental strength to push through this and to grow is amazing. Yet with everything they have are triple million sellers. Their physical sales ate untouchable. They have sold out concert after concert, selling out Tokyo Dome 5 times.

Jamsil Stadium hasn’t been sold out in 17 years. And they sold out in 5 minutes. They are only the 2nd group to sell out at the stadium, only H.O.T has done it. And H.O.T. was HUGE back then. To achieve that in 5 years with all their obstacles is amazing.

All of you complaining, you would never be able to any of what they have done. Hiding behind anon and going to different Exo blogs or making passive aggressive tweets towards fans is cowardly. The members have worked so hard to get where they are, stop going after excited fans and find something more productive to do with your miserable lives.

BTS ARE LITERALLY THE ONLY KPOP ARTIST ON THIS CHART. Like it’s so fucking amazing to see their names up there with huge American artists who have had a lot of exposure in America and Europe and then see our boys who’ve been brought to fame by just the sheer power of Armies not fucking taking shit and never underestimating them. They are literally on the path to such great success and I for reals could not be prouder. They worked so hard for this moment and no one can say shit to them. IM SO GLAD I STAN KINGS!

Here are some of my favorite photos from your IG, Sehun. From @xlkslb_ccdtks to @oohsehun, from you first post last May 6, 2014 (my birthday) to your latest post last April 8, you have never failed to update us about the things you love and do, from Vivi, your friends, and your family — EXO. I feel so giddy and happy when you always spam your IG, and we always do! Troughout the years, you have been dragged and hated by people, but that did not stop you. You endured all the pain and became stronger. You have achieved so many things with your dedication and hard work, and will achieve more things in the future. You are a very precious angel, and you deserve all the love in the world. You never fail to amaze me, and I am so thankful for your existence. I am wishing you a happy happy birthday! With all love. Hormones have done a lot of great things for me but one negative is that it made me gain weight much faster than usual. My metabolism has always been very fast so weight was something I never really struggled with growing up. After starting hormones and seeing how much weight I gained in places like my stomach and thighs and in such a short timespan was hard to deal with at first. It was such a drastic change and one I was conflicted about. While I didn’t like to gain that much weight it also made my body more feminine. At a certain point I said enough and changed my diet and started going to the gym to tone and slim down in a healthy way. 40 lbs later and I still feel curvy and beautiful but now I’m more comfortable with my body which has been quite a long process in the making. I’m not posting this for thirst follows or nsfw blogs this is just to show a progression I’ve made with hard work and I’m very proud of myself and comfortable in my own skin. I feel like me.

“Everyone has lost something precious. Everyone here has lost homes, dreams, and friends. Now, Sin is finally dead. Now, Spira is ours again. Working together, now we can make new homes for ourselves, and new dreams. Although I know the journey will be hard, we have lots of time. Together, we will rebuild Spira. The road is ahead of us, so let’s start out today. Just, one more thing… the people and the friends that we have lost, or the dreams that have faded… Never forget them.”

7 Productivity Tips

Schedule times you want to work // I know I can go through an entire day promising myself that I’m going to do something and never doing it. “I’ll start in one more hour…Just five more minutes..Once I’ve cleaned my room, I’ll do it…” If you tell yourself that you want to start your task at 11 AM, you can hold yourself accountable and your plans aren’t so vague.

“Work hard, play hard” // It’s sooo necessary to have time to relax when you’re working hard. If you constantly work, you’re going to get burnt out. Know what makes you really happy and make time for it. Time that is specifically devoted to work or play will make your life more balanced and enjoyable. You’ll be happy to start working.

Set goals and deadlines for the day// Force yourself to finish. Knowing that your must get things done will allow you to actually get them done. If you mindlessly go through your day, it becomes easy to not get anything done. Focus your mind on your goals and not you small, lazy desires.

Ignore perfection // Constant tweaking and stress will never allow you to finish a task. If you hold all your assignments to an unreasonable standard, you won’t get things done in a timely manner. The key to productivity is efficiency. Know that you’re human. Perfection takes huge amounts of time. That time might be better used to finish your other tasks.

Create your to-do lists the day before // Even if you set goals for your day the day of, it’s valuable to have a tangible checklist of your tasks the day before; you can get a head start on them the moment you wake up the next morning. In your spare time, like the time waiting between classes or waiting for your ride, you can work on the things you know you have to do.

Evaluate your progress each week // Once you’ve set your deadlines and goals for each of your days, go through them and ask yourself how effective you were on Saturday or Sunday. Understanding if you met your goals and what might’ve prevented you from meeting them (procrastinating, unexpected nuisances, etc.) will help you to be more productive the next week.

Finish a first draft // Any progress is still progress. Productivity includes getting stuff done before it’s due. Making progress towards your goals will help your overall productivity. For example, if you have a giant paper due in 3 weeks, write your first draft the first week. This will give you ample time to go over and edit your draft to make the final draft easier to execute. If you’re making something from scratch, your progress will take longer.

Your Love (Sun/Venus Signs)

Your love is like
a fire,
burning her way into my heart,
creating something
I didn’t know it was art.

Your love is like
a tree,
growing branches all the time,
being steady without to crumble,
but you’re afraid to climb

Your love is like
a rainbow,
being full of colors and great to see,
you’re a miracle,
and you need to be free

Your love is like
a lake,
where everything seems to be at peace
but the water is deep,
and it never does cease

Your love is like
a firework,
people admire you for a second,
so you have to work hard
to be seen as a legend

Your love is like
a book,
only open for those who read it till the end
because for you the perfect lover
is also your best friend

Your love is like
a rose,
blooming as long as you live on this earth
but you need to realize
your own grand worth

Your love is like
a thunder,
creating a loud and heavy noise,
but it’s weird because
it’s never one that destroys

Your love is like
a flower field,
big and colorful to everyone that goes by,
it’s all fun to watch,
until the sunshine turns to a dark sky

Your love is like
a house,
being a warm and comforting home,
but what if every room is empty
so you’re here alone and roam?

Your love is like
a galaxy,
difficult to understand for those
that have never seen the night
but only shadows

Your love is like
a wave
created by the wind and the moon
but if you’ll drown it it,
you won’t come back soon

I shove my phone back into my pocket with a smile and rub my hands together eagerly. It had been five months since I’d been home, which also meant five long, agonisingly lonely months since I last saw Y/N. Admittedly, I’d much rather be home with her right now, either fucking the shit out of her, or holding her close to my chest as I wash her hair in the bath tub. She always loved corny shit like that. But unfortunately, I wasn’t. I was in my dressing room, waiting with T-Pose to be interviewed with Ellen DeGeneres.
