Sometimes, you don’t even question your worth until someone makes you feel unworthy. Perhaps you felt really confident in your career until someone else got promoted instead. Maybe you were content with being single until the guy you were interested a few months ago is now interested in your friend.
It’s moments like that that make you start to doubt your worth. It’s not always the moments where you’re on top of the world and perfectly content…it’s the moments where things aren’t going according to plan and you’re faced with thoughts of who and what you are not.
In those moments, don’t allow the lies of the enemy to sink in. Jesus reveals this to us in John 10:10:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
The enemy wants those severed relationships in your life to cause you feel insecure about yourself. He wants the successes of your friends and colleagues to cause you to forget about what God has done in your life. Why? Because he wants to pull you further and further away from your Father.
But you don’t have to let that happen. God has come to give you life, so you may live life abundantly. God has given you this through Christ because you are worthy of His love. You are worthy of the future He has promised you. You are worthy of feeling loved and valued as His precious daughter.
So when you start to feel that your worth is being attacked at work, school, with your family, friends, a guy…remember who you are in Christ. Remember that because of Him, you have been given direct access to your Father who loves you so much and wants you to know every single day what you’re worth to Him.
Don’t let others inability to see that worth cause you to forget what you are worth to Him. Don’t wait around for a guy to text you back or for a boss to say “good job!” to start feeling like you’re worth something. It’s not wrong to desire to be appreciated and valued by others, but ultimate value in life is rooted in your relationship with Jesus Christ. Walk with your head high knowing this! You are worth it!

I’m hoping tumblr’s “you’re not allowed to like this thing because the creator of this thing may or may not have said/did something problematic in 2000” culture will finally end. I have come to destroy it.
I want to die. God hates me & I'm a burden to everyone. I hate myself so much & there is no point in me being here.
Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” - John 10:10 | NKJV
satan wants you to hate yourself, see yourself as worthless, and doubt God’s love for you. he kills joy any chance he gets. you must have your guard up. when a negative thought enters your mind, pray it out in the name of Jesus. literally pray out loud, and speak verses. satan hates that. he hates you. but the good news is that he does not have power over you if you put your spirit and heart in that hands of God. all of these hateful thoughts in your mind are not of God. you’re worth so much more. Jesus believes you were worth dying on the Cross for! His love died for YOU. may satan flee from your mind & heart in Jesus’ name! x
From a first look at some of the entries, it’s hard to tell which ones are spoofs. Alarmingly, on closer inspection, it turns out that very few are. Instead, they are the fever dreams of America’s small-business contractors writ large, which makes them a fascinating window into the lurid anxieties of middle America.
Clayton Industries of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who claim to be “revamping the energy sector through matter manipulation”, have proposed digging a 100ft trench along the border and filling it with nuclear waste. A flimsy chainlink fence will run along the Mexican side, followed by a field of motion sensors. If any plucky border-jumpers make it past the toxic trench, they’ll be met with another 30ft wall the other side. Company owner Christian Clayton prefers to describe his linear nuclear weapon as a “conduit”, explaining that the waste would also be used to generate electricity…
Crisis Resolution Security Services of Clarence, Illinois have clearly been inspired by the Great Wall of China with their scheme for a hefty crenelated concoction, complete with decorative parapets, buttresses and square castle watchtowers, all perched atop a vast earthen berm. It is the work of Michael Hari, a former sheriff’s deputy who most recently ran an agricultural food safety certification business before setting up his security outfit, who says it would be “as pretty as the Parthenon”.
“This wall is meant to defend what is truly American,” he adds, “and it can start by being beautiful in a way that ordinary American citizens appreciate, rather than by being starkly institutional or by catering to the controversial and perverse tastes of the elites.” It has a foot and cycle path on top too, for “recreational use”, so upstanding citizens can go on a bike ride while peering over at Mexico.
I don't know how to be, Bruce. It doesn't get better and it doesn't get easier. I can't keep lying to myself, saying that I'm going to change. I'm poison.
I come from poison. I have poison inside me, and I destroy everything I touch. That's my legacy. I have nothing to show for the life that I've lived, and I have nobody in my life who's better off for having known me.
Here is another reader who wanted to be tagged! xx @moonlightbae14 (Okay so im not sure how this whole tagging thing works, am i supposed to continue tagging people from the previous chapters? I will just in case but message me if you want me to stop xx @training-wolves@canon-is-drarry)
