i have a new daughter too!

Sterek Week Day 2: Kids! Writer!Derek and Coffeeshop Owner/Baker!Stiles as single dads AU:

Derek didn’t have time to deal with any romance nonsense. Between his writing career and his daughter, his focus was limited.

“It’s not a date. A romantic date anyways, it’s a play date. His kid is Jesse’s age and the sweetest boy. If you get bored, you can just go wander off or something.” Laura had told him, crossing her arms over his chest. “You’ve been holed up in your study lately, so I think Jesse would be up for some time with you and a new friend too.”

And that’s how they ended up in front of a random house. Derek sighed and glanced at his phone, the GPS helpfully chiming in that they’d arrived at their destination.

Over-protective dad Branch is a new headcanon. You know how kids just get into relationships way too early so it isn’t serious? I think I was one of those kids…

(A parody on Daz Black’s “Every Dad’s Reaction” vine.)

Can’t imagine where I got the name River, hehe. Oh, and I don’t have a name for this Broppy daughter yet. Got ideas?

One day, the daughter of your dad’s best friend shows up. She’s really pretty in that girl-next-door kind of way, but, more than that, you’re just instantly on the same page with her. Kindred spirits.

A./N: I’m so so sorry this is so late! I’m probably going to go looking for members because I have too much going on at school to keep these coming out in a timely manner. I apologize again! I love you :)

You adjusted your backpack on your shoulders, taking a deep breath before you pushed your way past the bodies in the crowded hallway. Needless to say, you were nervous as hell. Kids in high school weren’t always the nicest, and despite being a Stark, making friends wasn’t at all your forte. You were too introverted for your own good, and your method of making friends consisted of you waiting for an extrovert to take you under their wing. Starting at a new school a month in wasn’t helping your case either. You clutched your schedule in one hand, desperately hoping you would find your classroom before the bell rang. You were so frazzled, you didn’t; realize that someone was trying to talk to you. You looked up and were greeted by a boy, he was taller than you, with messy brown hair and a shy smile.

You didn’t say anything, so he spoke first. “Are you new? You look kind of lost.”

“Uh, yeah. I’m looking for AP bio with Woolfsen.”

2.13 // 4.01

Alright, I know a lot of people have drawn a parallel between this new scene from 401 and the scene from the Pilot in which Abby tells Kane she ensures the human race deserves to stay alive but I haven’t seen anyone parallel it the scene from 213. In the scene from 213, Abby and Kane have a conversation about Clarke letting the missile fall on TonDC. Abby, as we know, is horrified until Kane tells her, they too have done a number of awful things. In end, Abby realizes she is on no morally higher ground than her daughter is and poses the question, “After everything we’ve done, do we even deserve to survive.”

Kane doesn’t answer her question, he opens his mouth as if he intends to but in the end, he says nothing. I think the reason Kane does not answer Abby’s question back in 213 is because he believes the answer to the question is no, they don’t deserve to survive. In the same episode, during the same conversation, Kane brings up his guilt regarding the Culling in order to in a way comfort Abby about Clarke’s actions. This in itself shows that Kane is still overwhelmed with guilt by that decision.

In 401, however, Kane tells Bellamy “Before you know, you’ll deserve to survive.” and I think this serves very effectively as an answer to Abby’s question from 213. In 401, post the City of Light and all of the atrocities that forced people to create (Kane obviously included since he nearly strangled Bellamy and crucified Indra,) all of the characters are full of fresh guilt. For Kane, however, I think this serves as a realization point. I think he finally gets that he’s never going to deserve to survive the way he did before he was forced to make all these horrible decisions because the Ground does not let him be that person. He’s been forced to make horrible decision after horrible decision in order to save his people and I think he finally understands that to the proper proportions. Kane knows Bellamy feels a similar way, he knows Bellamy has made a countless number of bad decisions and in this line reassures Bellamy of this. He tells Bellamy in this line, yes, you do deserve to survive or if you continue to atone for your actions, you will.

In this way, Kane is also obviously speaking about himself. He is answering Abby’s question back from 213 (hence why we have a camera shot of her looking at him. ) Instead of his former answer of no, he finally realizes the answer is yes. They deserve to and will survive.

TLDR; I have way too many emotions about Marcus Kane and had way too much on my mind about the parallel I feel like no one else noticed. And this is a pointless ramble.

Having a baby on Sherlock set made me 'less precious' about my acting, Benedict Cumberbatch says
Generations of actors may have lived by the rule “never work with children or animals”, but not so Benedict Cumberbatch.

Generations of actors may have lived by the rule “never work with children or animals”, but not so Benedict Cumberbatch.

The actor, a new father, has said working with a baby on the set of Sherlock actually improved his performance, stopping him from being too precious about his scenes.

Cumberbatch, who has one son with his wife Sophie Hunter and another baby on the way, said having a new infant colleague for the fourth series of Sherlock compelled the usual cast to work around the baby’s schedule.

The character is now known to be Rosamund, the newborn daughter of John and Mary Watson, played by Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington.

Speaking ahead of the New Year’s Day episode, Cumberbatch said: “The babies have been pretty amazing.

“I’m a father and I know how difficult it is to get anything in tune with a baby’s schedule.

“It keeps you in the moment and it stops you being precious about your work.

“I love those elements that make it more difficult.”

As is conventional in television, the one baby character will be played by several real-life babies, with filming taking place in between naps and feeds under close supervision.

When asked about the phrase “never work with children or animals” and whether it had proved true, Freeman added: “I would go along with that - the babies were pretty easy actually.

“The dog not so much.  I love dogs, I love animals and I love children but that adage comes about for a reason.

“Every time I read any script with loads of kids and animals I think we’ll remember that saying it is there for a reason.

“When it works it’s joyous but getting it to work can be tricky.”

Cumberbatch said of his animal co-stars: “We had an interesting dog in the first episode.

“He was very sweet but was a bit afraid of being in the centre of town, afraid of too many people and not great on hard surfaces. “We were in Borough Market, with lots of people around, on concrete and tarmac.

“Cut to Amanda literally pulling a bloodhound around London who was supposed to pull her around London. That was fun.”

The fourth series of Sherlock starts on Sunday, January 1 at 8.30pm on BBC One.

The AU that no one asked for… I still don’t even know what to call it??? For now I’m going with Adrien vs The Forces of Evil.

Basically:

  • Adrien is the free-spirited crown prince of Mewni
  • On his 14th birthday, his father passes on to him the royal magic wand
  • However, Adrien has a little too much fun with the new abilities the wand has granted him
  • He sets multiple structures on fire
  • So his parents (both are present in this AU) decide that he needs to be sent to Earth
  • (Initially he freaks out and thinks he’s going to be sent to Hawkmoth’s Reform School for Wayward Princes)
  • On Earth, he meets his host family, the Dupain-Chengs
  • They have a daughter his age, named Marinette
  • Who is, understandably, a little freaked out by this destructive, happy-go-lucky magical prince
  • (Marinette definitely knows karate and kicks butt hardcore)
  • Adrien absolutely wears a cat ears headband if he’s wearing his casual clothes, nothing will convince me otherwise

That’s all I have for now, basic, but maybe I’ll do more, it’s a fun AU.

"One last time", she whispered to herself, watching her ruby red blood dripping into the porcelain sink. One shot? For what ever ship you want

Twisted it up a bit. I looked at this prompt and a new branch shot out of a spin-off. Unedited. Thank you, @destinedtosurvive73, for this prompt. Truly. It’s actually not bloody or bad, and actually quite simple.

                                                      The Hunt

The night Feyre went out hunting, Nesta did as well.

Except she had a different type of hunt in mind, one in which she’d have the high chance of easily becoming the prey too fast and too soon. A dangerous game, one a merchant’s daughter had no business in reckoning with.

But she did it anyway.

Because while food sustained the basic needs, money was everything.

To buy more arrows and paints for Feyre, seeds and gloves for Elain. To buy penance for herself.

Nesta drew the shawl tighter around herself, the wind nipping at her ears. Elain had never asked her where the eldest Archeron sister ventured out into the night, tucked safely within her ragged and thin blankets, the most all could afford. Feyre never knew of her endeavors, her night visits matching her hunting trips.

The wind howled in the night, eyes turning away as she disappeared through wired fences and under curved in structures.
More steps into darkness.

She pushed opened the crimson doors, eyes skimming over the half-skulls embellishing each slat on the iron entrance. The smell of sickened mewls and moans of the half-drugged and weeping souls crawled into her ears, and bile rose in her throat.

Nesta walked up the crooked stairs, each step creaking and building the crescendo of her heartbeat, faster and faster. She no longer spared second glances to the limbs scattered across the scarlet carets and bitten flesh strewn hastily across the crimson walls. She no longer puked at the stench of the rotten knobs of snapped bones and putrid smell of the decomposing and decayed.

It was only a matter of time before she joined the lump of bones, her body a forgotten reminder of humanity and its flaws.

Shadows danced over her vision, scattering and dispersing as she neared. It always seemed like an eternity’s walk down the single hallway, until she reached the very end. Slowing to a halt, she placed a shaking palm against the only door in the upper level. A finger trembled against the knob—a polished knuckle wrapped around a stuffed heart, her eyes scanning the golden tapestries draped across the iron and steel infused door.

She tightened her grip, and twisted the knob open.

An empty, drab and gray stall awaited her.

Nesta stalked in, and stared at the scratches of lines and markings fading across the wall. She could see phantom wisps of ghosts with gaping jaws screaming with listless eyes, claws digging into their own untouchable figures. She could taste the palpable fear of whoever last used the room that stung her tongue and misted her eyes.

But more importantly, she could feel the bulk of bills that would be slipped into her hands once she finished and booked the hell out of this cursed, wretched dump that belonged on the other side of the Wall.

Nesta walked to the sink on the left side of the tiny room, and washed her arms, scrubbing fiercely away the dead skin, leaving searing, harsh blemishes.

Nesta walked to the table on the right side of the tiny room, and picked up the knife, staring at the sharp blade, screeching greediness.

Nesta walked to the goblet at the front of the tiny room, and held her wrist over the golden goblet, rimmed with dark-crusted stones.

“One last time,” she whispered to herself, watching her ruby red blood drip into cup.

The scent of her mortality flowing through open space had her nose wrinkle.

A slat in the front opened, wide enough for a bony and pale hand to snatch the goblet.

Another hand flashed out and grabbed her wrist.

A tongue licked her wound shut, and yanked her hand away.

A wad of bills replaced the goblet, and the slat shut and locked with a click.

Nesta tucked the money into the insides of her shawl and strode out.

The sliver of fear and whisper of dark.

The Mortal Queens.

To sustain their immortality, they had to drink from the blood of humans.

Those who offered were paid well. And paid more for their silence.

But words were easily broken, the shredded flesh and cracked bones a testament.

Nesta swallowed and picked up her pace as she strode down the hallway, watching the shadows deform and twist into angles and passing faces around her.

A shadow stood at the crest of the stairway.

Dark and dangerous, tall and lethal. Ropes of corded muscle and a roughened face.

Her pulse sped up, and the sealed wound at her wrist throbbed.

The figure walked forward, and she stilled.

She could not turn around and run, not when sacrificing more blood and allowing the darkness to consume here awaited in the back.

So she walked forward, bracing herself.

She could not be ensnared now, not when her younger sisters did not have the money tucked with her. If he thought he’d found an easy kill, that she’d be one of the easy bones scattered on the floor, then he’d sorely made a mistake.

Nesta tensed.

The male stood directly in front of her, swallowing her form whole. The shadows seemed to bend away from him, some sliver of warmth radiating from his large form. The large, red rings decorating his forehead slashed against the gray and black linings of the building collapsing over them. An explicable sense of longing poured through her, a calling far deeper than her intrinsic senses of fear.

Hazel eyes burned into her, and he arched a brow slowly at her. Slowly, too slowly, he sniffed the air and walked in a tiny circle around her. Obviously he hadn’t been taught personal space, as Nesta waited for the knife or dagger to lash out and gut her apart.

The male instead leaned down to her side, brushing away a strand of hair. A second later, he blew a breath of air towards her, goosebumps wrecking over her skin. Nesta didn’t recognize this intimidation tactic.

Before he could nick off her ear or slice off her hair for one of the Mortal Queen’s cursed ritual, Nesta stormed forward.

She didn’t get very far, other shapes flooding up the staircase. The male behind her easily looped a muscular arm around her torso, locking her into position. Her skin flamed at the contact, every inch of coldness reduced to ashes.

The  emerging tall males and one smaller female walked up the hellhole as if they owned it, wearing matching grins of ferocity. One wore thick, blue rings, the other wearing simple, yet complex clothing. The female’s tight smile, full of unspoken dangers, caused the insides of Nesta’s stomach to tighten.

But it was the dark-haired male at her side that had her heart thrumming to a different song, one full of raging passion and lethal comfort, a dance of violence and a cacophony’s melody.

A name whispered through her mind, two syllables that shredded the dark curtains looming in her horizons.

“My hunt has ended,” Cassian said, leaning into her as she to him, a thread of connection snapping between them, two intertwined, full of sparks and akin to darkness. “My mate—Nesta Archeron.”

Part 1 of Heels and Pearls

Carrying up one of the last boxes, Daryl got closer to his door and heard movement in his new apartment. He knew it wasn’t his daughter, as she wasn’t even rolling over yet- or even home. Walking in, he saw a little girl with pigtails on her tiptoes, looking into a box. He set the box down, chuckling. “Can I help ya, missy?” He smiled, crossing his arms over his chest.

She looked up at him, grinning. “I saw toys. Do you have kids?!” She asked, excitedly. “Can we be friends?”

“Maybe one day.” Daryl told her. “Right now, she’s a bit too young. And besides, where’s your parents?”

“Liv?!” A woman’s voice called out, panicked. “Liv?!”

Daryl turned towards the door, figuring the little girl in his apartment was ‘Liv’. Sighing, he walked towards the main hall. “Ma’am?” He motioned as you reached your door. “I believe that the girl you’re looking for is in here.” He smiled.

You rushed over and looked in, letting out a relieved sigh. “Damn it, Liv.”

“Sorry, momma.” She said as she came over. “I saw toys. I just wanted to make friends.”

“Why were you in the hall in the first place?”

She shrugged. “I heard daddy say someone new was moving in when he brought me home.” Liv looked up at Daryl. “How old is she?”

“My daughter?” He asked. When she nodded, he crouched to her level, making you smile. “She’s only a couple months old right now, sweetheart.”

“Can I see her?”

He smiled. “My friend and his wife are watching her while I get some stuff done. She’ll be home before dinner, though.”

Liv went to ask something else when you said something first. “Come on, Liv. I’m sure he’d like to get back to getting settled.” You smiled at her before looking over at Daryl. “Sorry about her just… walking in like that. Welcome to the building. I look forward to meeting your wife and daughter.” You said kindly, knowing someone that attractive with such a young daughter had to be married.

Daryl stood up. “You can meet my daughter. However, her mother is no longer in our lives.” He told you honestly.

“Oh, I’m so sorry!” You felt your cheeks heat up, more so when he smiled at you.

Liv smiled up at him. “Daddy left, too. Maybe you and mommy can be friends!”

You chuckled. “And with that, I’m ushering my child home.” You smiled. “It was nice meeting you.” You waved at him.

He laughed. “Nice meeting you, too. And you, too, sweetheart.” He smiled at Liv.

BITS AND PIECES OF SUPERGIRL 210 THAT I LOVED OR HAD FEELINGS ABOUT – a list compiled by me

  • i loved a lot of things, which was a massive plot twist even to myself.
  • UGH SPACE FAM <3
    • SPACE DAD AND HIS CRIME FIGHTING DAUGHTERS <3
    • “to be your friend” ;________;
    • “i’m here with you, i see you” ;_______;
    • (enjoy your new space mom, girls)
    • (SHARON LEAL IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS SHOW. THAT SCENE WAS TERRIBLE AND SHE MADE IT GOLD. I CRIED, YOU GUYS. ACTUAL TEARS.)
  • KARA DANVERS, CATCO MAGAZINE.
    • “like having a deadly penpal you see once a year.”
      • only kara would find having a nemesis cute, and then… follow through on it kind of being cute. it was weird, and totally bonkers, but entirely consistent for kara. “you did this one good thing so you get a gold star and a chance to escape!”
        • KARA LIKES HAVING A NEMESIS OKAY, THAT’S KIND OF ADORABLE.
        • “that was nice of you. stupid, but nice.”
      • “i will punish him for you”
        • KARA HONEY. your heart is in the right place.
    • and i forgive her because leslie was on fire this episode:
      • “this is copyright infringement asshat. i’m going to sue you, and then i’m going to murder you.”
      • “your cosplay sucks.”
      • “you know what i love? little boys who think they can do a better job than the woman who’s an actual superhero. it’s pathetic.”
        • this was fucking hilarious, but also true.
        • but i also think it was supposed to be the mission statement of the episode, which they totally failed on with james and winn. i don’t want them to quit, which is a total turn around from how i’ve felt about this storyline all season. they can’t have us believe mon-el is doing this for the wrong reasons, set james’ motives up as the right ones as a contrast, and then still want us to believe he shouldn’t be doing it. i don’t think that anymore, which leaves unanswered: why does kara think they shouldn’t be doing this? that they’re putting themselves in danger doesn’t cut it for me. no one at the DEO has powers and she happily works with them. her own sister is the one on the front line with her more often than note (side note: NOTABLY ABSENT THIS EPISODE WHEN SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FRONT AND CENTER and tbh that’s how you know kara’s position is false because okay this is not a side note this is important we’re leaving this parenthetical behind– alex proves kara doesn’t actually feel this way, and they had to sideline her so it wasn’t glaringly obvious (or bad writing but you can’t change what you’re given to work with okay)
        • WHY DOESN’T SHE WANT THEM DOING THIS?
        • WHAT IS KARA’S DEAL?
        • i have some theories. i’m not saying they’re doing this well if it is what they are doing, but there were two shots in this episode that screamed something that i’ve felt they’ve been trying to set up all season long: KARA IS SO ALONE RIGHT NOW.
          • and we got kara as supergirl standing alone in the middle of the DEO, and kara as kara sitting alone without her glasses on in the middle of her apartment.
          • cat’s gone. clark stopped in for a second and then bailed. alex has her own stuff going on. james didn’t revert back to friend!james, he basically disappeared from her life. winn is working at the DEO but the superfriends are completely over.
            • and yes some of that is her own doing LOOKING AT YOU, JAMES, I’M SO SORRY BUDDY.
              • every scene where he talked about mon-el like he hadn’t been cast aside for that dude in kara’s life HURT ME.
          • but it makes the whole mon-el thing… slightly more weighty.
            • because okay i was going to save this for later but kara to me in that scene where she confronted him about why he was doing this looked hurt. because in the absence of anyone else, mon-el at least wanted to work with her on this path she’s chosen. everyone is off doing their own thing and he wanted to do her thing. and then it turned out he just wanted to do her. that’s not a team mate.
              • and her sad, sad face at the end knew she’d lost him as a team mate too. :(
          • so back to winn and james. them being out there without her is more dangerous than being out there with her. but remember how she learnt a small lesson earlier this season about her path not always being the right path?
            • (side note to say i wasn’t a fan of what i think was an accidental implication that powers are what make them powerful when she shut down james and then turned to leslie. if that’s something they were going for then this show is fucking lost. but i don’t think it was.
            • “you two were heroes to me way before all this.”)
          • and how everyone else is off on their own paths at the moment?
          • last week kara worked out what kind of reporter she wants to be. and this week we saw her having a little adventure with that and then getting completely sidetracked by her nemesis, but if wishes were horses the way this is going is kara realising she has to step out of everyone’s shadow and cast her own. that everyone’s shadow is slowly drifting away from her. supergirl is an ideal, according to cat, but kara has to live inside that ideal and i don’t think she’s ever put any thought into her actual purpose.
            • maybe now she will?
            • (it’s there, there is good stuff in this season but god the execution is just appalling and making me sad.)
  • ALL THE OTHER STUFF:
    • THEY DIDN’T EVEN HAVE CAT IN THE PREVIOUSLIES. OUTRAGE.
    • MAGGIE AND ALEX BETTING ON KARA. SHARED BB SISTER.
    • MAGGIE IS A VEGAN. thank you cliche.
    • i love winn so much these days, who even am i?
      • “superhero kindergarten.”
      • he called siobahn leslie’s girlfriend!
      • “…and they are also maybe captured.”
    • j’onn and m’gann’s faint-and-catch was so OTT my eyes turned into hearts.
      • spacemoooooom.
    • what is this arbitrary prison facility leslie was being kept in? wasn’t she locked up by the DEO?
      • kara asking the important questions - why was she in a human facility?
      • GUYS YOU’VE LOST CONTROL OF YOUR SHOW’S INTERNAL COHERENCE. REMEMBER WHEN ALIENS WERE A SECRET AND THE DEO WAS CAPTURING THEM ALL?
    • “i’m the other superman.” I LAUGHED. VERY HARD, I LAUGHED.
  • AND NOW A REENACTMENT OF MY THOUGHTS DURING THAT LAST SCENE:
    • oh no he’s waiting for her and there is music.
    • OH NO
    • OH NO
    • OH NO
    • OH— WAIT.
    • SHE’S NOT INTO THIS.
    • THIS ISN’T GOING WHERE THE MUSIC SAYS IT’S GOING.
    • WE ARE BEING PLAAAAYED OH MY GOD IT’S OVER AND IT DID NOT HAPPEN OH MY GOD.
  • (this is either the worst romantic setup in the history of television, yes including every terrible example you are currently thinking of (maybe), oooooooooor they are geniuses and this is possibly the first case of straightbaiting in this post-UST era. PLEASE BE THE LATTER, PLEASE BE THE LATTER.)

over-active-daydreamer  asked:

Hello! Clarifying my ask. Because the ask box is closed I wasn't sure if you wanted me to wait for it to open or not. At first I thought of it to be what would have happened had Mipha survived (I like how you keep the timeline in mind), but I love the idea where it's a much more innocent outing between little Sidon and a small Hylian girl Mipha is fond of. The two learn about each others' races while Mipha follows a distance behind them. A scenario if possible. Thank you so much!

No problem! I enjoyed writing this, the concept of tiny Sidon is too much for my heart!

Mipha watching over her little brother and his hylian female new friend

She was the daughter of a Hylian merchant who had moved to the Zora Domain a few months back, someone who wanted to start a new life in the watery kingdom. Small, bright, and very friendly. Within the first week, little (Name) had been attached to the princess’s side- asking questions, talking, listening, playing- and despite Muzu’s dislikes, Mipha found herself absolutely charmed by the new child.

Which is why her heart absolutely broke when she saw that she struggled to make friends her own age.

It was no fault of her own, nor of the young ones- rather, the adults surrounding them. Some of the elders strongly disliked the Hylians, even more so the idea of having to share their home with one. As elders, they controlled the young ones and what they observed which meant… well, a less than good situation.

Mipha sighed as she watched (Name) sit on the side, watching longingly at the other children playing. This wasn’t right, being all alone, for no reason. But what could do, it’s not like she could force the other children to play with someone- Oh.

She couldn’t force the other children, true. But who’s to say that she can’t introduce one friendly child to another?

………

“Hi there! I’m Sidon! What’s your name?” (Name) perked up and turned to look at a boy right her age, holding up a friendly hand. Small, baby-cheeked and chubby armed, he radiated smiles and joy like a warm light at night.

She smiled and took his hand, standing up. “(Name). It’s nice to meet you! Want to play?”

“Sure! C’mon, I know this cool spot near the palace, it’ll be fun!”

…….

Good. It looked like everything was going well. At least from behind this column. Mipha smiled as she saw the two hold hands with Sidon leading the way, grinning and laughing all the way. She slid from column to column, doing her best to not be spotted by the little ones (though the elders seemed to spot her pretty quickly).

Soon the children were playing on the plaza looking over the domain, apparently not knowing that there was a very happy princess watching them from around the corner.

…..

“-You don’t know how to swim?”
“Not yet! But daddy said he and mommy would teach me tomorrow when we went to the lake. But when I do learn, we have to go swimming together, okay?”
“Yea! I’ll show you my favorite spot, it’s super cool! And we can play tag with everyone else! And- ey, what’s wrong? Why are you all sad?”

(Name) sniffled a bit, doing her best not to cry. “All the kids ignores me. They say because I’m not a Zora, I can’t play with them-”
“That’s not true! That’s stupid, you can play with us, you just need to learn to swim! And if they don’t like it, they can deal with it ‘cause I’m the prince and what I say goes, okay?”

OOoooh she didn’t know where he had learned to be so kind but Mipha was glad her little brother had as he wiped away the little girl’s tears and continued to talk. They didn’t her to watch over them, they had everything sorted out. She slipped away behind the shadows of the building, smiling to herself.

She had a good feeling about this, she just knew it.

Hae Soo Daughter’s

I’ve been reading comments saying that So never knew the little girl he met was his daughter. Judging by his reactions and expressions I disagree. Our So is smart.

He knows the litlle girl is too old to be Jung’s child from a new union.

He knows it’s Hae Soo child’s.

He knows Hae Soo loved him until the end.

And there is no reason Hae Soo would have been worried, as Jung told him, that this little girl would have to live in the palace, when neither Hae Soo nor Jung where welcome there anymore. Except if that child was actually the King’s daughter.

He knew something was off with the child so he demanded Jung to leave her with him, then Jung tells him Hae Soo’s request. So takes another look at the little girl and suddenly Jung is welcome again, even though So was still hostile toward Jung a minute ago, asking him why he was in the palace.

And he adds he wishes Jung would visit. Why? Because Jung would propably bring the child then, and So would have a chance to see his daughter from time to time.

I believe So know the little girl is his, but he choose to respect Hae Soo’s choice and let her grow away from the palace, in peace and free.

On a side note it’s kind off heartwarming that his little girl wears the hair pin he gifted to her mother.

Having a baby on Sherlock set made me ‘less precious’ about my acting, Benedict Cumberbatch says

I know everyone is excited about the new Breath of the Wild trailer, and I am too, but…

Is it too much to ask that Zelda not be constantly hurt and crying? Is it too much to ask that we don’t walk in on her bathing? Is it too much to ask that she be able to save herself?

The Writings of King Bosphoramus Hyrule

After I found the shrine hidden at the bottom of Hyrule Castle, I decided to keep going up the stairs that lead inside of the castle. I came upon the library, where I saw a door that lead to the King’s Study and where I collected some goodies and found his diary. Suffice to say, it hit me right in the feels much like Zelda’s diary and research journal did.

First Page:

Today, as the sun rose and a new day was born, my daughter, too, joined this sweet world. In keeping with the traditions of the royal family, I have decided to name her…Zelda. I am not a man accustomed to frivolous musings, but now seems as good a time as any to begin my royal memorandum.

Second Page:

Reports keep arriving regarding the excavation of relics. The fortune teller’s predictions seem to be coming true. Calamity Ganon was not a figure of fable, or even of legend. He actually existed in our great land of Hyrule. We must investigate all the relics, learn as much as we can. But understanding the Divine Beasts alone will take time… Zelda’s eyes lit up like a wildfire when I told her about the relics… I must admit, she has a knack for research.

Third Page:

My queen has left this world. Her death was so sudden and unexpected. I awaken most nights unsure if she is really gone. Zelda never cried, never faltered. Not even during the royal funeral or later when she and and I were alone with our grief. I must assume her strength is a result of us repeatedly informing her of her duty to be a valiant and steady princess. For a child of merely six years of age, her conduct was truly that of a born leader. Her strength gives me hope. From now on, I must raise her all alone… Now, only I remain to prepare her for her difficult future as princess of Hyrule.

Fourth Page:

Zelda finally reported back after her visit to the fountain. It seems her sacred sealing power has still yet to awaken. It has been a year and three months since her mother passed. Perhaps she is held back by heartache too deep to heal. If the Ganon prophecy wasn’t looming over our heads, I would tell her to take her time… To wait until she is ready. But our situation is dire and leaves no room for weakness - even on behalf of my beloved daughter. My heart breaks for Zelda, but I must act as a king, not a father. I must order her to train relentlessly at the fountain.

Fifth Page:

I was told Zelda went off to research ancient technology, so I had no choice but to confront her about it. She claims she was simply using her day off from training to indulge in a bit of research, but still I scolded her. She won’t get it through her head… Forcing me to tell her the same thing I have been repeating ad nauseam. The reason her sacred powers still won’t awaken is because she’s spending all her efforts playing at being a scholar!

Page Six:

In truth, I understand Zelda’s feelings. Painfully so. She lost her mother, her teacher, before she could learn from her. Ten pointless years of self-training, without so much as a book or note to help her find her way… Those in the castle talk behind her back. And I, her only family, scold her for her shortcomings. No wonder she wishes to hide away in her beloved relic research. I’d love nothing more than to console her… But I must stay strong. She MUST fulfill her duty, just as we all must. Even if she comes to despise me.

Last Page:

I have been told my Zelda went to the Spring of Wisdom… This will likely be her last chance. If she is unable to awaken her power at Lanayru, all hope is truly lost. If she comes back without success, then I shall speak kindly with her. Scolding is pointless now. I forced 10 years of training on her… and after all that, it seems her power will stubbornly awaken some other way. Perhaps I should encourage her to keep researching her beloved relics. They may just lead her to answers I can’t provide. For now, I sit anxiously, more a father than a king in this moment. I sit and await my daughter’s return.

New Dragon Maid fan (or Anime reviewers that look into the series too deep without reading the Manga): “OMG, Dragon Maid shows the perfect example of a healthy lesbian family! Kobayashi is the dad, Tohru is the mom, Kanna is their daughter! and.. Huh? Who’s Iruru?”

ur post really opened my eyes so consider: both marius and cosette are trans. nothing is different at all everyone still goes on for pages about how cosette is the most beautiful girl in the world and they still get a [mostly, all their friends are dead so] happy ending.

holy shit u have opened my eyes to a whole new world i never even knew

consider this:

  • valjean doesn’t know much about how to help his daughter but he spends weeks learning to sew so he can make her dresses until she has the confidence to buy them in stores
  • he teaches her to sew so she can sew her own dresses too :) the doll dress is the first one she made herself (well…..the first fit to wear in public that she made, cosette is a fast learner but there were a few Interesting outfits during the learning curve)
  • when marius leaves his grandfather he buys an ill-fitting outfit and overcoat and just….wears those nonstop until he meets courf and courf’s like “…..ohmygod you poor boy here take these they’re last season and they’ll fit your scrawny ass”
  • both of them are very nervous to tell each other bc they’ve lost so much and don’t want to lose each other too but obviously both of them are like “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you too????” and they’re overjoyed
  • they made each other’s wedding clothes
  • they comfort and are there for each other in everything, in loss and dysphoria and marius is always there to literally cry over how beautiful cosette is and cosette is always there to fawn over how handsome marius looks
