ANON!!! THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST RESPONSE I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE TO BUGGY BRAINS!!! I’m so proud of you. You’ll be okay, I believe in your success and recovery sooooo hard!

I kinda feel like crying cause I had some thoughts about never being able to meet Mark or Jack cause I can't afford to travel and if it's okay I might need a hug

Aw sweetie, I know it’s not a very fun thought to have but please don’t give up hope! Mark is going on tour and Jack is currently trying to as well, so that’s a lot of extra opportunities if they end up going somewhere close to you! If not then there’s always trying to save up for a convention. It would be difficult but definitely not impossible.

Just please don’t give up okay? There is a LOT of time for things to fall into place.

I hope you end up meeting them. I really do. *hugs tightly* <3

Question! Regardless of how you feel about exotics, do you think that it's a LOT safer for exotic owners to keep their photos and stuff private? I do have an interest in exotics but I know that if I ever owned one, I don't think I'd ever be very public about it. I mean in closed networks with other exotic owners or vets you'd be okay, but anything else feels like really dangerous. (I know of a man on YouTube that had all his mink stolen, and numerous others who've received vitriol and threats.)

It is safer, yes. Unfortunately internet popularity also leads to internet scrutiny. I know of several people who own exotic mammals and only post them online very rarely because of the vitriol they receive from antis. Many people who own wolfdogs in areas where its legal will also try to downplay wolf content instead of bragging about it for this reason.

Even if its not antis who will go after you, theives will target friendly exotics too, believinf they can sell the beautiful but trusting animal for high prices.

My general advice is: if you have an exotic pet, don’t broadcast where you live. Invest in good security (which you should do anyway because of thieves and shitty neighbors) and be wary about taking them into public unless you have to (or its a working ambassador animal with proper permits)

cestlafilledunroi replied to your post: Okay…but imagine TC singing Evermore from Beauty…

And like. Evermore is so. similar. to If I Can’t Love Her. The compositional structure is the same, the sentiment is the same, even the orchestral interjections at the end??? But like the poetry in Evermore doesn’t come close to IICLH and honestly I feel like Dan Stevens could have managed that song since it’s pretty much within the same tessitura?? IT’S MY FAVORITE BATB SONG I’m just

HAHAHA I feel you, mon ami….Like…

“I rage against the trials of love (??? what this mean, laddie boy)
I curse the fading of the light  (ok, very Twilight but ok, I gotchu)
Though she’s already flown so far beyond my reach (ok…)
She’s never out of sight” (is this a Facebook vaguepost, my dude?)

It is the tell of the Show vs. Tell storytelling phenomenon. I haven’t seen the movie yet so I probably will notice the song’s shortcomings less when in combination with the visuals but I can’t help but feel a little cheated out of my Awesome If I Cant Love Her on the silver screen dreams! Oh well.

I hope you feel better about your period soon! I have endometriosis, and its pretty bad, and I also typically feel disphoria a lot about my body and stuff while on my period, so yeah I definitely get the pain of hating it. 😑 But I really do hope you're okay! <3

Thank you for your well wishes.

Endometriosis is no fucking joke and oh my god I am so sorry bby. <3

In the MBMBAM Seeso Q&A tonight, the brothers talked about how the structure of the show ended up being what it is partially because all the things that they “couldn’t do” because of social anxiety. Like, they couldn’t do man-on-the-street stuff, they couldn’t talk to a ton of strangers, they couldn’t play pranks on people, etc. And the structure of the show ends up feeling very genuine and fun because of those limits? They’re not forcing themselves to do (neurotypical) things they’re not as good at, and in the meantime, working around that stuff begets new ways of doing things. So, like, neurodiverse representation is obviously important because it’s important to be able to see that aspect of yourself in the media you love, but it’s also important because it gives us new structures and kinds of media, and that’s just so exciting to me

I want Sally Jackson and Frederick Chase to become friends, them bonding over having powerful demigods as their kids and finally talking to someone who gets it, gets what is to wake up one day, so young, and have your world changed by gods. I want Frederick and Paul talking about teaching and helping Sally with the research for her book; Paul, Sally and Frederick having dinner nights and talking about their kids (because Paul considers Percy his) and drinking wine.

And then we have Annabeth, who is absolutely over the moon that her dad is flying to NYC to spend time with her, no stepfamily (because they never managed to get close) and she loves seeing her dad interact with Sally and Paul, because they are also her family. She went from being a little girl feeling like she had no one to Sally, Percy and Frederick in the kitchen cooking while she and Paul talks about history and architecture while playing with Baby Blofis. Sally, Paul, Percy, Frederick and Baby Blofis are her family and it’s just makes her so happy to see them together and happy.

Okay, I’m spazzing out a bit too, but can we talk about that garage scene?

It was just… phenomenal. My biggest concern was that this was going to happen.

Victor had it right, his leaving would have been the biggest thing to effect Yuuri and we all know he went about it the wrong way. Even he knew it the moment after he said it.

Calling Victor out on what bullshit that is. He broke down into a blubbering mess, it’s true, but it’s also just the dam breaking from all the pent up nerves.

Yuuri’s so aware of himself too. He explained WHY he was feeling the way he was feeling.

This scene was so important because it wasn’t the typical ‘beg him to come back’ bit, like I dreaded when they finally made the move to use the trope. No.

It was Yuuri snapping back, even in the middle of a meltdown, because he knew what he needed

and instead of bottling it up,

he told Victor, helping him to grow as well.

Which lead to a great moment of personal and mutual growth with each other.

It was handled so, SOOOO well. It could have very well gone the stereotypical way but it didn’t and I’m soooo happy they did. They shattered my heart expectations yet again;

so i rewatched voltron s1 (obviously) and I KNOW THE CLOSENESS BETWEEN SHIRO & KEITH HAS BEEN CLEAR ALREADY BUT i still can’t help but point out that when shiro asks “how did you know to come save me when i crashed?” —

something about this dialogue especially (and the way he’s looking at keith), throws really heavy implications about his history with keith. when he says this the exact way he says it, he’s totally skipping over other conversational items that might have been shared between two people who aren’t as close. because they don’t need to talk about that stuff. they’re already close. and not only that, the phrasing “come save me” feels so intimate? it’s not “how did you know it was me that crashed?” or “how did you know to come find me?” — it’s “save” (which, *clutches heart* just kills me).

i mean, all i am saying is..

I will never not be emotional when I think about how:

1. Zuko’s grandson is named after the most important man to ever be in his life; a man who raised him more like a son than a nephew.

2. How Uncle Iroh’s funeral was probably one of the most attended funeral’s in Fire Nation history…and how emotional a certain Fire Lord probably was during it.

what she says: i love freeze your brain

what she means: If you look at Freeze Your Brain at face value, you could easily interperet it as simply about JD’s fixation on 7/11 and his issues oversharing. But it’s really more about a place that feels normal and familiar and safe in a frightening and new situation. It’s easy to overlook this, as a lot of the song is made to be comedic. Take the lines “When mom was alive/we lived halfway normal./Now it’s just me and my dad,/we’re less formal” for example. During the musical, it’s easy to focus more on Veronica freaking out than on JD’s words and their meaning. This is done intentionally, as if to show that JD hides how hurt he is about his mother’s death with other emotions, as many people do. Towards the end, it is shown that JD uses slushies to control a possible self-harm habit and self-destructive thoughts, and that’s when the gravity of the song hits you. Despite sounding light-hearted, Freeze Your Brain is about a teenager trying to hold onto the one place that makes him feel safe and happy no matter where he is. If you consider the possibility that his mother introduced him to 7/11, it’s also about trying to recapture childhood emotions, despite the fact that so many things have changed.

PSA: Padme Is Important

Look I know that Disney is trying to distance itself from the prequels, but I’d really like for the sequel trilogy to at least acknowledge Padme as being a major driving force in the entire saga because she is. It is her hope in Anakin’s goodness and her relentless pursuit of justice and peace that are the real undercurrent of the story. The hope she has in Anakin is carried in through her son, who, like her, recognizes the goodness inside Vader. This hope draws Vader back to the Light and ultimately defeats the Empire. That same hope is also passed on to Leia, who similarly sees good in her son despite how far he has fallen. We don’t know the story will play out yet, but without a doubt, Leia and her hope in Ben/Kylo will probably be a huge factor.

Padme’s unceasing determination to secure peace and freedom for all also carries on through her children. Her political prowess and strong leadership live on in Leia as she leads the Rebel Alliance and later, the Resistance. Her compassion and desire to help others live on in Luke’s drive to save/help anyone he can, even at risk to his own life. Together, the twins’ combined strengths are a formidable force against evil and darkness in the galaxy, just as these strengths were in their mother before them. And I am certain that these same strengths will be passed on to the next generation of heroes, regardless of who the “secret Skywalker child” is. Or of there even is one.

Padme, even though her life was cut short, isn’t just the Skywalker mom. She’s not just a memory of a time long gone. She IS the hope of the galaxy so often spoken of in the series. It is her love and determination that drive the entirety of the saga. The Rebellion and the Resistance are built on the hope she had for peace in the galaxy. The compassion and love the heroes have for each other echoes the compassion she had for all life before her own life ended. Never let it be said that Padme Amidala doesn’t matter, because nothing could be further from the truth. She and what she stood for are a fundamental element of the Star Wars saga. Her legacy is and will continue to be a crucial driving force in the story whether or not it is consciously recognized.

Padme Amidala is Important™, and don’t you forget it.

#remember at some point Lex was genuinely Clark’s best friend #he was someone who Clark went to for advice #he was someone who Clark constantly defended despite his last name “Luthor” #they both saved each other multiple times #and fuck i’m seeing some parallels in Supergirl #they both start of as friends #Lena and Lex at some point just wanted their parents to love and accept them #they both betrayed their parents in the end #point is i think we’re all hoping Lena doesnt turn bad #and we’re probably thinking “eh, she betrayed CADMUS” #she’s good #but look at lex #he still ended up as superman’s arch nemesis #AND I SWEAR TO RAO IF THEY TURN LENA BAD #i’ll cry

this isn’t even necessarily about shipping ok?

Okay but imagine, not a ‘reunited’ Shield in the sense of a faction on a single brand, but instead, the Big Dog, the Architect and the Lunatic Fringe brought together by their shared complete lack of fucks left to give about anything or anyone else, showing up all over Raw and Smackdown and wreaking havoc, just for the hell of it.

Think about it.

Dean and all the shit with AJ and Ellsworth? Fuck Smackdown. Seth being screwed over by the Authority and Roman getting booed wherever he goes? Fuck Raw and fuck the WWE Universe too. Let’s fuck shit up.

Sierra. Hotel. India. Echo. Lima. Delta.

just imagine Harry getting to know the whole queer culture at Hogwarts through Ginny.

“so I was dating Parvati for a while,” Ginny says, “after Lavender broke up with her. But obviously that didn’t work out because Lavender and Parv will always end up together.”

Harry’s eyes widen. “WAIT,” he blurts out, “they’re dating?????”

Ginny stares at him. “Obviously. They’ve been dating for three years.”

Harry is stunned. Ginny cannot believe that Harry doesn’t know this.

“Are you sure it’s okay that you’re telling me this?” Harry asks cautiously.

Ginny rolls her eyes. “Harry. Literally the whole school knows about it. It’s not a secret.”

“Then of course it didn’t work out with Dean, for obvious reasons,” Ginny continues.
