i had to post this with words...so it's not going on my manga blog

Fraaaaan, Sero so handsome. What about BakuSero ?

A good ship I might draw something for in the near future! :D if inspiration doesn’t leave me again, that is

Anon said: I don’t know if you said anything but is there a reason you haven’t drawn anything haikyuu related lately? Not complaining but just interested why?

Hmmmmm there’s a few reasons I’ve talked about on various occasions in the past, stuff that goes from “the manga isn’t all that inspiring atm” to “the fandom isn’t responding in a way that makes me want to share more” and also “reposters sure are a pain aren’t they”, but lately I’ve been thinking that I really wouldn’t mind drawing some hq’s again so! Don’t think about those too much, consider it just a temporary hiatus :D

Anon said: Rude quiestion i know and im sorry but, will you draw some haikyuu stuff again or…?

I will! Can’t promise my focus won’t shift on other characters once I’ll start again, or generally be more spread out through everyone instead of focusing on a couple like I was doing before, but I will!

Sicilian Defense (Chapter 1)

Tokyo Ghoul Vampire AU

Summary: Unexpectedly changed into a vampire, Fueguchi Hinami finds herself thrown into a completely different world. Now enrolled into the prestigious Anteiku Academy as a member of the elite Night Class, Hinami slowly steps deeper into the realm of these monsters. Dealing with her ever-changing world and state, she becomes dependant on those around her, yet at the same time, poses them a danger greater than any of them could expect. As her thirst reaches closer to the point of no return, Hinami finds herself becoming increasingly drawn to the blood of her dorm leader, the sheltered Prince of an ancient pureblood vampire clan, Kirishima Ayato. As a former enemy resurfaces, will Hinami be able to protect her world from their interference?

A/N: Hello everyone! This is a fic Mod Alice ( @ayahinas) and I (Mod Far/ @lilacflamesss) have been planning for awhile. It’s an AU based on the manga Vampire Knight, which is something really close to my heart. We’re really excited about it and we’ve had a lot of fun planning and writing this fic, so I hope all of you will enjoy it! For those who don’t read Vampire Knight, I’ll be making some kind of trivia post over at my personal blog sometime tomorrow so that this AU won’t be too confusing, but it should be fairly understandable for everyone. I probably should point this out as well– since this is a vampire fic, there will be a lot of blood and blood-drinking, just as a warning.
Please do reblog this and feel free to leave some comments!

Chapter 1

After an attack on her family, the orphaned Hinami finds herself acquainted with the Vampire Queen, Kirishima Touka, and the pacifistic Headmaster of Anteiku Academy, Kaneki Ken. Meanwhile, a certain chessmaster prepares her pieces, setting her game into motion. (3k words)

have a great day pup <3

//Jimin found about jungkook’s radio program one night after a really long day at work. he usually put on his earbuds and blasted loudly his favorite artists but that night his ipod had run out of battery and he didn’t have any music stored on his phone so his only option was to tune in the radio. and oh boy does he not regret it at all.

//jungkook has  melodic voice, sweet and that exudes warmth but at the same time is deep and boyish, really charismatic. no wonder he works at a radio station.

//the program varies from listening to jungkook’s song recommendations to reading letters from fans asking for advice. the host can go from a total dork that tells the most ridiculous jokes to a sweet caring boy trying to help a lost soul.

//jimin finds himself listening to his show every single night from then on. he has the show tuned in while his night shift at the convenience store, which always helps him overcome the night with a better attitude.

//taehyung laughs at him, says he’s obsessed. Jimin likes to say he just knows how to appreciate the good things in life.

//Jungkook opens about himself sometimes, and jimin learns he’s a young man -but slightly older than him- that has struggled his own in life as many others and uses his experiences to give advice to his listeners. Jimin loves to hear those stories, feels like jungkook is opening up to him only and not to hundreds of anonymous people that listen to him as well.

//he’s tempted to call, talk directly with jungkook those nights the phones are opened to the spectators, but he knows he’s shy and would stumble with his words a lot. also, what is he supposed to say to jungkook? “oh hey i’m jimin, big fan of yours. i love your voice and i love you too, marry me?” nah, too creepy….

//so he simply sends letters to jungkook for the other to read. he usually shares his own struggles, tells jungkook how difficult is being for him to manage the student life, living on his own and have his family so far away. jungkook is always sweet, reassuring, tells JM to keep fighting for his dreams like he did some years prior, shares his own story so he can give jimin the will to keep going. jungkook tells JM they have a lot in common taking in consideration his letters, and jimin likes to think jungkook’s voice softens a bit while talking to him after reading his letters, and his heart stutters happily every time jungkook dedicates him a new song he’s found recently.

//it’s a sunday that finds jimin working a morning shift. he hates it, because not only he had to woke up really early, but he doesn’t have jungkook’s sweet voice helping go through the boredom.

//the good thing about it is that he can afford sit in a corner and read a book, or try to catch up with some work he had been delaying, since just some grannies come for some shopping.

//he’s immersed in one of the books he’s supposed to read for a report when someone enters the store. a young boy, dark hair and darker eyes. he’s pretty attractive, but the side glance and small smile he throws jimin when they lock gazes tells him he’s a bit shy. the boy strides to the farther aisles in silence, jimin focuses back on his books.

//”Hello,” says the boy and the single word has jimin’s head snapping towards him, it sounds slightly familiar. the boy raises an eyebrow but doesn’t say anything else.
“hello.” he answers, and starts charging everything without saying anything else.
“Thanks, have a good day.” he says once the other has paid and is about to leave. the boy smiles charmingly, sweet, and says:
“you too, thank you.” jimin stares a him because his voice sounds so so so familiar.
“is something wrong?” asks the boy with confusion written all over his face and then everything clicks.
“oh my fucking god, it’s you!” screams jimin, blushing immediately because holy shit it’s jungkook and holy shit he just screamed at jungkook
“uhm…. do we know each other?”
“no…I mean i do, i know you and this just sounds so creepy but omg im a fan- im so sorry.”
“oh….” jungkook’s face changes then, goes to confusion to realization and smiles once again at jimin. “you listen to my radio program?”
“Yeah…. i- i love you - your show”
“Wow, im glad. it’s always nice to know people like listen to me… thank you so much.”

//Jungkook starts coming to the store more often and jimin tries to play it cool every time, specially when jungkook is being friendly with him and starts a conversation. but they quickly fall into a more comfortable relationship, specially after Jimin confesses he’s JM and jungkook seems happy to know about it.

//jungkook is funny and nice outside of work also, manages to make jimin laugh without really trying. sometimes jungkook is the only one talking as jimin just smiles and nods, staring. because jimin likes jungkook’s soft voice, but likes even more his crooked smile and bunny teeth and the way he feels every time jungkook looks at him. and boy, he’s so in deep.

//they exchange phone numbers and start talking frequently. Sometimes jungkook texts him in the middle of a broadcast. it makes jimin feel special.

//”this song is dedicated to a friend of mine. we’ve become closer recently and im glad to have found such a nice person that fits so well in my life. so, ehm… jimin, i know you are listening- this song is for you”
Jimin tries not to scream in the middle of the store, but now that he thinks about it he’s alone so he squeals out loud out of happiness.

//”It was a beautiful song” says jimin over the phone, after deciding to call jungkook in a boost of braveness.
“Really? I’m glad. i found the artist recently and he really has beautiful songs. I thought you would like this one.”
“I loved it…”
“You know what it’s about?” asks jungkook, his voice soft and warm. for a second jimin forgets they are talking live on radio and there are hundreds of people listening to their conversation. “It’s a bout a new found love.”
“oh…”
“jimin, would it be too brave of me to ask you out on a date?”
“Are you serious?”
“totally…. I like you a lot JM”
“I would love to…”

//after that night jungkook receives a lot of letters asking for advice in love matters, because his way of confessing to jimin was cute and romantic and had all his fans squealing with feels. (jimin dowloaded the podcast to save it on his computer)

//jimin discovers dating a radio host is a bit embarrassing, specially when said host dedicates romantic songs to him or says out loud how much he loves him, but jimin wouldn’t have it any other way. (he loves calling to the program and talk to the other, sometimes embarrassing jungkook on live radio)

anonymous asked:

I just saw your shalnark was a kurta answer and didn't the spiders leave a note saying "we accept everything so take nothing from us" at the leader's corpse. Why would they do that?

Heyo! :D

huuuh this is hard to exactly say.

“We accept everything, so take nothing from us” is a saying from Meteor City. According to what we know, we know that, people can dump anything they want to Meteor City, even living people, but people shouldn’t steal from them, or kill Meteor City’s people. Last time someone killed an habitant of Meteor City, the killer was killed with the note “We accept everything so take nothing from us.”

On a surface level, for sure, we know it’s therefore a saying that is close to the heart of the Troupe members, since most of them grew up in Meteor City (Chrollo, Pakunoda, Machi, Feitan, Uvogin, Nobunaga, Phinks are the main ones I can think about).

As it is, the page we have about the note is everything Kurapika had heard over the massacre - which I think is therefore more of a way to sign the massacre as being from the Troupe. It’s the only way Kurapika might have realized it was the Troupe who did those murder, by linking the saying back to Meteor City and therefore, to the group orginitating from it.

Now then as for why…. It’s up to theories.

The simplest theory would be just that it was left there as a way to sign their murders, nothing more.

The more conspiration theories would tell you the Kurta did something to the Troupe, stole something maybe, and that was a payback.

I… honestly hate this version of the theory. As far as we know, the Kurta were killed because of their eyes. It’s also to notice they were killed 6 weeks after the incident in which Kurapika showed his red eyes to the townpeople, and therefore confirmed that the legend of the “red-eyes monsters” wasn’t a legend. The timing is rather tight, it could be the reason the troupe learnt about the village and planned their robberies.

I personally have another theory, that we discussed in private with @killua-no once.

We think it’s also possible that it’s the book Sheila brought with her and gave Kurapika and Pairo that might be the cause and may have been stolen from the troupe.

Now this is a theory, don’t take my words too seriously, but i suppose it has as much weight as thinking the Kurta did something to the Troupe (after all, why people who had been closed of for over a century, would now get the wrath of the Troupe? What could have happened now to get the Troupe’s attention?)

in Kurapika’s past we see an aspiring Hunter, Sheila, who got hurt nearby their village. Kurapika and Pairo took care of her until she was back to health, and to thank them, Sheila gave them the book she had of D-Hunter. From this book, Kurapika and Pairo learnt a lot about the outside world, until the Elder of the village took it away from them to “not give them foolish dreams”. As far as we know, Kurapika and Pario never saw this book again.

The interesting thing is that, we heard of this book in Kurapika’s chapter, only a few chapters before we learn that there are two really important books regarding the Dark Continent, written by Don Freecss. We know one of the book had been found, but the second one seems to have disappeared.

From the descriptions we have of D-Hunter, it could be that it is a book about the Dark Continant, therefore, a much more important book that it would look like.

The thing would be that, even if it’s not the book by Don Freecss, if Sheila (accidentally or not) took this book from Meteor City, or from the Troupe, it could be that the Troupe would just be seeking back what was theirs, and the Kurta just happened to be in the way and their eyes bring their attentions. (also the fact the note was found next the leader’s corpse could also be since he was the one who was in possession of said book. But since he was the Elder, this might be a reach and it was just because he was the most important guy of the village.)

It would explain also why the Troupe don’t remember much about the Kurta’s massacre aside from the fact they thought the eyes were pretty. If they came to the village with other motives than to steal the eyes, and realized on the way that the eyes were interesting, it could go in that direction. As something they didn’t plan when they arrived in the village.

Now, one last detail, take it or not, if the book is from Don Freecss and considering Ging has access to the other book or its knowledge, it would make it a fun coincidence if Chrollo and Ging both had access to said book, since they are the two people we see using books as a way to collect powers to use later (Chrollo’s ability and the Books from Greed Island - Even more considering Ging seems to be able to understand Nen technique and reuse them later (which would be the theory of how Greed Island’s cards work anyway)). It was a similitudes that had been bothering Killua-no and I for a while until we started to talk about the Don Freecss’s books and the possibility of the Troupe being linked to one of those books.

When it comes to Shalnark being a Kurta or not, the theories would be that he either asked to be spared in the massacre, or joined the troupe beforehand, and if that later, could have given them information on the village. But I don’t know what it would imply exactly, and we don’t have nearly enough information for it to be well dug in. Besides, with Shalnark’s current situation, I don’t think the story will explore much about it.

And from writting all of this, it does seems like I’m trying to find any reason to not incriminate the Kurta themselves. Ngl, I would be kinda disappointed if it turned out that the Kurta did something actively against the troupe and “got back what they did” kind of way. I find it far more tragic that the Kurta were attacked seemingly for shallow reasons as such as just aesthetics.  I don’t want a “actually the Kurta were really gray” explaination, but I might be too biased and involved in this storyline to think clearly about it.)

This Book theory might be far fetched, and asks a lot of “if”, but considering also how Kurapika’s past chapters are right before the begining of the information about the Dark Continent, the importance of the Don Freecss’s books, and the fact the Troupe gets involved in the search for the Dark Continent, I dare to hope maybe we’re not completely wrong.

Therefore, the Meteor City’s saying would be used like its original purpose, as the way Meteor City’s citizens use says words. As in “Someone took something from us and we took it back. You are punished for taking it away from us.”

Otherwise, I would believe it’s just a way to sign their massacre as being from them. Coming from Meteor City and in a way, still going by its logic (not to mention that it was at least 4 years before the begining of the manga, so who knows for how long the Troupe had been active at this point. Maybe it was still during the time they were making a name for themselves and therefore would sign their crimes which they wouldn’t later.)

So, I can’t say for sure, I have my theories about it - do what you will with it!

Take care nonny! I wish you well!

Can we also talk about how Bakugou went from "weird haired guy" to "Kirishima. Change of plans". Oh man I didn't realize how much I missed the anime *cries*

BOI CAN’T WE I just spent the whole morning crying over seeing the moment Bakugou recognizes Kirishima as an equal animated nbd at all r i p me - I think this might be the first time Bakugou calls anyone by their name, actually, and I just!!! that’s because Bakugou heard Kirishima’s words and recognized him as a good partner and a worthy hero and someone whom he could respect and I’m gonna be grateful for chapter 133 for the insight on this for the rest of my always I !!!!!! have feelings g a h

Anon said: ok ok ok ok but but listen what about BAKGOU AND OCHAKO they are the most popular couple and the most cutest , i think you should try to draw them once i would love love to see this !!! of course just if you want hehe thanx

Ahhh sorry anon but I really don’t ship that - I mean, it’s true that I ship Bakugou with a bunch of people aside from my main two, but if they’re part of Deku’s group you can fairly assume they’re not between my Bakugou ships? And I only romantically ship Uraraka with Deku, Tsuyu and Iida anyway so! You’re probably not gonna see any romantic baku/ocha from me, sorry o<-<

Anon said: Since we know what Bakugou’s parents are like, what do you think Kirishima’s parents are like?

I have a similar ask somewhere asking about Kaminari’s parents as well, so I guess I’ll answer both here?? As a general rule I don’t really like making headcanons over stuff I’m sure the manga will give me in the future, so I can’t say I’ve thought about this too much - there are a few things I work under the assumption of while drawing, like for example I’m taking for granted they both have at least functional families, considering Aizawa personally visited their homes to ask their guardians about allowing them back to school, and if anything had been weird he would have noticed

I like to think Kaminari got his quirk straight from one of his two parents with no mixing happening, and got the Kaminari surname from them as well, but that’s all I ever allowed myself to settle on as far as Kami’s family goes, everything else changes based on what I need for the current scenario I’m thinking about… I do often end back on him being an only child, though - in the same way depending on how angst or lighthearted I want it to be my ideas for Kirishima’s family change a lot, but generally I think I mostly fall back on the idea of him having a big family? In a scenario like that his parents are kind and love him a lot, but having many children and needing to split their attention on all of them might cause them to overlook him a little (it would explain his obsession with being flashy, for me) then again, who knows? I don’t know how canon you can consider the infos SMASH gives, but in one of the strips Kiri mentions working part-time, and the fact that he doesn’t seem to have problems with money kinda makes me believe he might be independent from his family like that (unless he’s a rich kid, also very entertaining as a possiblity)

I’ve seen a lot of headcanons floating around about both of these guys’ families and possibly being related to villains, that would be cool too, though I’m not sure how much I believe it

I’m sorry this ended up being little to no useful at all lol as I said, I just shift between scenarios a lot - imagine settling on one and growing attached and then having to let it go once Hori proves it wrong, that’d be terrible for me

thesplendidangharadd replied to your post “That’s why I didn’t understand your logic. While you admitted that…”

I know you hate it when I kinda “ hijack” your post but seriously I couldn’t stop myself on this one . Kubo did “show” us several times ichigo had latent feelings for Orihime . The lust arc ? The grimmjow fight ? The way he reacted when she was taken to hueco Mundo ? All of this happened around chapter 200 /300 it’s not the end of the story . The fandom went out of its way to prove those moments meant nothing and IT DID . The thing is that

all those ichiruki moments you think Kubo “showed” can be interpreted as a strong platonic friendship . Ichigo’s showing his feelings for orihime though ? Can only be interpreted as romantic . It’s the peak of mauvaise foi for you to show us yoruichi telling ichigo to say something nice to orihime and not show those like 6 panels of him blushing out of his mind just because orihime wore a revealing outfit which was the “ show” part of “ show don’t tell”

Kubo did not separate ichigo and rukia in order to push for ichihime . He separated them because from a story telling point of view their relationship reached its narrative end at the end of the fullbring arc . Ichigo doubted rukia was still his nakama because she did not come to see him while he was powerless but when she came back to gave him his powers he understood the bond he had with her was unbreakable which made him understand the bond he had with his other frien

friends ( who were under tsukishima influence at the time ) was also unbreakable . Showing scenes of them together had no point because the readers knew where they stood , their bond didn’t need further developemment . Ichihime did and renruki though and that’s why there is more of it in the last arc . Bleach was not a victim of ichiruki chemistry but of the ichiruki fandom who had a frienship who could be interpreted as love for the first 100 chapters and clung to it

for the other 580 chapters of the manga blindly refuting what was irrefutable proof that the manga was going in the ichihime direction

*sigh* You do realize that the reply feature is meant to be used for short messages? Save your interlocutor the trouble and hit ‘reblog’ pls?

Much Ado About Crystal

It’s unpopular to take the stance that I have, but this post is about why Sailor Moon Crystal is not the piece of garbage that many diehard Moonies claim it to be.

Here are the top 5 reasons a Moonie should consider (or reconsider) why Crystal is a gem of the Sailor Moon Universe:

1. It’s the most authentic version of Naoko Takeuchi’s story, other than the manga.

Many fans are aware of how unhappy Takeuchi was with the original classic anime. As a young female success story that brought the feminine perspective to the historically male superhero genre, Takeuchi was ruffled by the male take on her girl power platform when the 90s anime debuted. Many of her original storylines were altered (too many to recount now), but the most problematic ones for Naoko likely had to do with the patriarchal interpretation of her story.

The “male gaze,” imperceptible to many at the time the anime was created (and imperceptible even now, to some) contaminates the 90s anime (from hidden frames where women’s bodies are shamelessly and needlessly displayed—likely sneaked in for the bored male animators’ amusement— to countless subplots involving male predatory behavior and female instability, to the incessant playing up of negative female stereotypes). When one stops to really compare the source material with the 90s anime, it doesn’t take a long time to see why Takeuchi might have been crestfallen by the 90s anime.

Crystal allows fans to relish her original vision, and see it come alive. I was rewatching it earlier and I am truly blown away by the depth of emotion explored. I really feel like I am watching and celebrating the storyline that Takeuchi always wanted us to enjoy.

2. Mamoru and Usagi’s characterizations make for a healthier romance.

Let’s face it, it’s not a middle schooler and a college student together (although, in my personal opinion, the taboo nature of that aspect of their relationship had a lot to do with the societal norms that they reincarnated into). Moreover, it’s refreshing to not have to watch Usagi whine every two minutes, the way she does in classic. Put the cold and distant portrayal of an older Mamoru with that from the 90s anime, and you get a story where he acts more like a father figure to an insolent child. The original Mamoru and Usagi dynamic depicted in the manga carries into Crystal, creating a more realistic, less problematic romance that fans can get behind (although, in a future blog post, I am going to defend the crap out of 90s Mamoru and Usagi, so get ready!)

3. The artwork is quite beautiful.

I know, I know, don’t jump all over me at once. I know that there have been several criticisms about the artwork and animation of Sailor Moon Crystal, including this incredibly popular (and highly entertaining) tumblr called Crystal Quality. Once I removed myself from that criticism and started rewatching Season I of Crystal without bias, I truly enjoyed how close the art style is to the original manga. Again, when you remind yourself that the purpose of Crystal was to honor Takeuchi’s original story, and that it’s not meant to recreate the 90s anime, it’s pretty cool to see an interpretation of her drawing style come to life. (No comment at the moment on Season III’s artwork style. I’m still coming to terms about how I feel about it. I will say that I kind of miss the Season I and II style.)

4. There are no filler episodes.

Now, don’t me wrong, I know this argument can go both ways. Did we get a lot more character development in the 90s anime? Absolutely. Is that because there were filler episodes? Undoubtedly. At the same time, if you truly go into Crystal with the mindset that this is watching a living, breathing version of the manga, and with enough backstory about the characters, you can appreciate Crystal a lot more. In other words, don’t go into Crystal expecting the 90s anime. They are different beasts, with different intentions.

5. The music is INCREDIBLE.

If you can’t get behind any of the above, I know you can at least get behind the fact that Crystal boasts an impressive soundtrack. It’s beautiful, stunning, modern, with occasional throwbacks to the 90s (“Eien Dake Ga Futari Wo Kakeru,” anyone?). Give it a listen. It stands well on its own, but in the context of the show, it’s got a variety cheerful, upbeat, haunting, and dramatic pieces to accompany the scenery.

I hope you will reconsider Crystal if you have dismissed it as garbage and that “the fans deserve better.”

I’ll give you this: I definitely have to be in the right mood to watch Crystal. Just as I have to be in a certain mood to watch the 90s anime. I watch Crystal when I am in a pensive mood and want to sort of watch the “porn” version of the manga and truly celebrate Takeuchi’s vision. When I do this, I appreciate what Crystal was trying to do. I watch classic when I want to laugh and remember what the 90s interpretation was. I celebrate each version of the anime for what they do well. Again, like I said, they truly are different beasts.

Tune in next time for more thoughtful analysis around the Sailor Moon fandom.

Sincerely,
TuxyWuxy47

Questions 2

2015-09-21 21:51:26

It’s been awhile since I last uploaded a blog again 💦

I thought I would answer some more of the questions that you all have asked me. A lot of the questions you’ve been asking are one’s I’ve already answered, so please make sure you read my blog post from August 4th.

Question Corner #2 (。-`ω-)

This got kind of long, but please bare with me.

Q: Are you sensitive to the cold?
A: I’m really sensitive to the cold.
I never take off me muffler or my scarf in the winder season.
But, I do really like winter sports, like snowboarding.

Q: Why did you go from 181cm to 183 cm?
A: Well actually, I used to have bow-ed legs. At the time that I thought I wanted to work as an actor, I thought bow legs probably weren’t a good thing, so I commuted to the chiropractor.
It took a lot of time, but I’m glad I did it. Somehow, it was only a little bit, but I feel like it helped my confidence.
Even getting rid of one complex really makes you feel different.
Ah, um, in a word, I got taller because I fixed my bow legs!!

Q: If you hadn’t done volleyball, what sport would you have done?
A: track or handball i think!
I like running a lot, and even now I do a lot of running when I self-train, and I started liking handball when I played it in my physical education class.

Q: Can you surf?
A: I’m always saying I want to try surfing, but I can’t do it at all.
I have bad form, so I don’t want to let anyone see!
I’ll do my best not to let anyone see it next year either!!!

Q: Can you do acrobatics, too?
A: This also, I can’t do at all!
I can do it a little… kinda…
Also, people asked me if it was scary, but I gave up thinking that so now it’s not scary at all. It’s just really fun!

Q: What musical artists do you like?
A: I like backnumber, Sakurako Ohara… they’re pretty varied.
Music is important before an audition!!

Q: What songs do you like?
A: Songs like “花束” and “サンキュー”
Oh and 1/3’s “Junou no kanjou”!

Q: What kind of songs do you sing at karaoke?
A: Songs to get everyone pumped up, mainly.
At karaoke, the main goal it to have fun with everyone, so we try to get everyone involved lol

Q: What spots do you recommend to see in Gifu?
A: Don’t get lost!!
I have a lot of recommendations, but you should all go to 王道の高山 and 下呂温泉

Q: Do you have your ears pierced?
A: I don’t.
I wanted to be in a historical play, and I don’t think they had their ears pierced then (?)
Ah, the earring I bought recently was hurting so I haven been putting it in recently lol

Q: What kind of earring did you buy?
A: A reeeeeeeeeeally simple one.
My clothes and my furniture are the same, I really like simple things.
I might also be really bad at keeping up with what’s trendy…

Q: Were stripes created just for you?
A: I’m sorry, I laughed SO HARD when I read this lol.
Sorry!!
I think they probably weren’t made just for me!
I wear a lot of stripes, but not THAT many.

Q: Do you like older girls? Or younger?
A: This is hard!
Uuuuuuuum…
Both!! I think lol
I don’t really like one group more than the other, older women might spoil me, but I might feel cooler dating a younger girl lol

Q: What genre of movie do you like?
A: Action!!

Also… romance!!
Actually I really like shoujo manga lol

Q: What Jurassic World interesting?
A: Very! It was really exciting!!
If they make another I definitely want to go see it!
I saw it in 3D, but I wanted to see it in 4D
Next time I think I’ll see it in 4D.

Actually, there’s still a lot more questions i’ve answered….. but!!

That’s all for today!

It’s really long right now, so you’ll get tired.

Answering everyone’s questions like this is really fun. Somehow, I unintentionally wrote some really long answers.

This was really long, so you might get tired of it, but please stick with me for a bit longer!

It will continue tomorrow!!

I'm Just Going to Put This Out There

I was going through Tumblr again, you know, looking through fandoms on Search. And look at what I found.

Guess.

Why the heck are people doing this? And by ‘this’ I mean making hate blogs and exposing it through social media (Tumblr).

You know what, let me tell you a few things that I’d like to say, BECAUSE I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS GARAGE THROWN AT MY FACE LOOONNGGGG ENOUGH AND I AM DAMN SURE EVERYBODY IS SICK OF IT!!!

1) It is just disgusting; these blogs are insulting so many people who respect and appreciate the series/book and even the whole entire fandom-do you know how many people could consist in solely one fandom? And I’m talking globally.

2) The fandoms are winning, not the hate, so it’s best if all those hate blogs shut their trap and get on with their life.

3) The opposite of love/like is actually not caring, so technically hate blogs still care about what the fandom does and what’s going on with the series.

4) Through all that effort making a hate blog, you aren’t going to get much from the trash you post. And you are NOT making a contribution to anything.

5) REMEMBER THIS: Its just a FICTIONAL STORY created for ENTERTAINMENT. It is not a REASON for people to shiz talk about it anywhere, if you dislike the series just PLEASE DON’T GET INVOLVED.

6) Instead of publicly exposing your hate, block it, accept that other people actually have OPINIONS and do something better with your life like actually talk to people in the same fandom as you or something and KEEP YOUR GOD DAMN HURTFUL OPINIONS TO YOURSELF.

REPOST/REBLOG THIS AND TAG A SERIES TO SPREAD THE WORD. PLEASE DON’T GET INVOLVED OR SUPPORT ANTI-BLOGS.

Thank you, a message from, Troubled Ship Anon.

i know this isn't really related to your art but how do you figure out when ship weeks are? like lol i don't know anything about them and then ur like haha kiribaku week y'all and i am confuddled please share your magic

… so you know how tumblr (the site itself, I mean) has that kind of one track mind for which once you start following one (1) blog related to Thing it’ll start suggesting you all the blogs about Thing? I’m the type of person to go “… why the heck not” and click on the follow button of every single one of those suggestions so now I kind of follow most of the blogs related to the ships I’m on, which means that the posts about the weeks are kind of bound to happen across my dash one or a hundred times in a row

👍👍👍👍 the magic is having no implulse control at all my dashboard is a magical disaster 👍👍👍👍

Episode 8 manga, volume 9 postscript

Boy, it’s been a looooong time. =O I didn’t come much on tumblr during the past year. Mostly because, well, this a blog about 07th Expansion, and 07E fans haven’t had much to talk about since the (definitive) end of Umineko. Iwaihime is hard to find, Hotarubi hasn’t started yet, there are no news of that “Alice” project, and A ROSE GUNS DAYS ANIME IS STILL NOWHERE IN SIGHT, DAMNIT. è__é

But well, since 2016 will be a bit more lively in that department, I thought I could try to post once in a while. So I thought it would be interesting to translate Ryūkishi07′s postscript at the end of the last Umineko volume. He explains some of the reasons the Episode 8 manga turned out the way it did.

And notably one aspect that is seldom taken into account in the discussions: the fact that the Episode 8 manga is exactly that − a manga. You just can’t handle it the same way as a VN.

What also comes out is that writing “Confession of the Golden Witch” is not a decision he took lightly. Umineko still clearly means a lot to him, and he wanted to make sure to give it the best possible closure. It probably won’t quell the frustration of those who think he shouldn’t have exposed everything, but personally I’m more at peace with the whole thing now. And in any case, the Episode 8 manga will remain one of the most beautiful and powerful mangas I’ve read. So here goes:

———

Hello, this is Ryuukishi07.

So, has everyone managed to reach the Golden Land? This long journey is finally over. And also, welcome back home.

As the short stories of Umineko Tsubasa have ended not long ago, I guess writing this postscript will be my final job on the Umineko manga…? Isn’t there a bit more to do after that…? This is my deeply emotional state of mind, as I head to my computer.

The other day, I received some happy news. A couple who had met by reading this series have just married. How wonder how many of them that makes now. I’m really thankful. And you, who are reading this postscript: what kind of story was Umineko to you? If you have made a bond with someone during the eight years between the release of the first sound novel and the end of the manga, then I’m happy for you.

Now, as you already know, in the manga I took the risk of depicting some parts that were not broken into in the novel. A catbox that can’t be opened, that was “Umineko no Naku Koro ni”. But I thought that a catbox has to be opened at some point. Because a forever closed box isn’t really a box.

Before the serialization of Episode 8 started, I talked a lot with the staff of 07th Expansion. The original work being mainly written with words, it is possible to depict events with a certain level of abstraction; but we had to decide how much of this abstraction we could retain in a manga format, where it had to coexist with the concrete drawings.

Wasn’t keeping the novel’s abstraction, i.e keeping the catbox closed, the simplest option? That’s what some members thought. But I couldn’t ignore that the manga would end several years after the novel. And it would most likely be the last medium through which Umineko’s story would be told. In other words, I realized that the end of the Episode 8 manga would be the final stop for all the people who looked for the content of the box.

So I thought to myself: why not invite all these people to see the inside of the box, at the very end? And I took my decision. Maybe it was finally time to depict what was at the bottom of the box, as much as I could.

When it was decided that Natsumi-sensei, who had already drawn Episode 1, would also be in charge of Episode 8, before our preparatory meeting she sent me dozens of pages of storyboard. She had drawn the aftermath of the explosion on the second day, Beatrice and Battler’s exchange on the third day, as well as the part on Battler’s past. (She could draw all that because I had already explained the truth to her before the Episode 1 manga started.) From these many drafts she had drawn and sent me even though she was so busy, I could feel that she had the love and determination needed to put this work to sleep by her own hands. That’s why I decided to entrust the inside of the catbox to her.

At that time, I told her three things:
“The way to depict and show the events in a sound novel and in a manga are different. So I’d like you to show and tell the story in a way that fits the manga, without sticking too much to the novel.
Then I told her:
"Episode 8 is a tale meant to lead Ange to happiness. Therefore, I absolutely want you to make her happy at the very end.”
And finally, I told her:
“Since I’m entrusting everything to you, I’d like you to draw the catbox in all its details.”

And Natsumi-sensei answered my expectations, pouring her heart and soul on the pages. It was the occasion to make her add several additional dialogues meant to clarify some facts. We were going to tear the box open and expose its contents… No, to put it in Bernkastel’s words, we were going to rip its stomach open and pull out its guts. And that’s precisely the reason. I can say safely that the only person outside of me, Ryuukishi07, who knew what had happened on the island on that day, was Natsumi-sensei. And she did a wonderful job at opening the box and depicting it to the end.

To Natsumi-sensei, to all of her assistants, and to the editorial department: I cannot thank you enough!

Marrying my daughter Umineko Episode 8 to Natsumi-sensei makes me so happy. And my deepest thanks to all the people who read Umineko until now.

The curtain will finally close on this long, long tale, but I hope we can be reunited somewhere, someday. Until we meet again.

Yes, when another cry can be heard…

anonymous asked:

Do you think inukag is a healthy relationship? When im reading the manga it's doesn't seem like it's healthy

I am… not quite sure why people are so interested in my personal opinion regarding Inuyasha the series. It’s an opinion. Everybody’s got one… or several.

Usually on most matters I prefer to keep my opinions to myself, being a somewhat private person. I think opinions tend to clash… rather unnecessarily too. But since this blog is called Ask Sythe and you did specifically ask for my opinion…

To tell you the truth, I’m sort of iffy about the term ‘healthy relationship’. Why is it you ask? I’ll tell you a story. Back when I was a university student, I had several classes whose neighbor room was the hangout place for the department of Psychological studies. Professors and students from undergrad, grad and post-grad classes would all go there to hang up, update with each other and start their own little research projects. The result of this accidental proximity meant that I’d often spend time in the psy lounge (as it was called by the students back then. They have great cookies and hot chocolate. Totally free by the way so I was just being your regular university moocher) and listened in on a lot of their talks and little projects. Now there was this one thing from the psy lounge that really stuck with me throughout the years. It’s the argument on how one can distinguish between a normal state of mind and an abnormal state of mind. In other words, how does one distinguish between a normal healthy person and a complete psycho who simply looks and behaves like one.

Back then in 2009, criminal psychology was getting a lot of spotlight because of shows like CSI and stuff. There was a big debate about what exactly is a normal, healthy state of mind / mentality / person in the psy lounge (and I was there, listening in as I ate their cookies and drink their hot chocolate. Thank you acharn Siriporn. That’s really her name by the way. She’s Thai. They have a lot of porny names. I am not shitting you. They also have a lot of Poo names but that’s to the side). As the debate went on, the students each offered up their ideal version of a healthy mind / person. You got a lot of the usual stereotypical stuff: happy person, productive person, good hygiene, great smile, good with animals and helps old people cross streets. You also have the odd ones out but those were much fewer.

Now then, at the end of this debate, the students looked to the chairing professor (he’s a PhD by the way, and a Catholic father. Actually, he has 2 PhD and 3 MD and he speaks 6 languages fluently. Conversing with him often makes me feel like a chimpanzee that happens to look like a person. He also picks up restaurant tabs for his students a lot, which is great because I was pretty poor back then) to hear his assessment on their debate and what his take on the ‘normal mind’ was. And here’s the professor’s reply.

“I think all of your answers are correct, because they are all pictures of a normal mind,” he said, and then went on to say. “There is no true definition nor parameters to what is considered normal. Normal is varied and boundless. A normal mind can be happy or depressive. Society likes to imagine a normal, healthy minded person in stereotypes (you know the usual: happy, productive, extroverted, great with animals and stuff, likes pizza, etc… I don’t like pizza by the way. Taste like cardbox with melted cheese to me. Sue me!) and the dangerous elements of society in other stereotypes (e.g. the shut-ins, the eccentric, the ones struggling with problems, etc..), but you as students of psychology must never make this mistake in thinking that you can measure the normal mind because the human experience is something far greater than what we are capable of measuring.”

And then he went on to talk about the true criminally abnormal minds (which, in stark contrast with the normal ones, can be easily defined and measured by sets of mental pathos).

The lesson here is you can’t really define or boil down a state of normality or healthy down to just about any parameters really because we as humans tend to be biased to particular stereotypes.

Now that was a long tangent, let’s get back to your question shall we? The healthy relationship. When I think about healthy relationships and how people define them, I immediately think of how people also define the normal mind (as above). It’s very similar you see because we tend to think in stereotypes and if what we see don’t fit that idealized version in our head, we have the tendency to label it as ‘unhealthy’ or ‘abnormal’.

Think for example all the odd couples and the social rejections they face: the old woman with the younger man or vice versa, the alternative lifestyle couples, people who are into BDSM, people struggling with mental or health problems of their own, people who are gender fluid or are asexual or other states of sexual not the usual hetero or homo. Different couples have different dynamics to their relationship and sometimes the differences can be quite jarring to the point that a couple on one end of the spectrum think the people on the other end are complete nuts for conducting their woobiedoodoo that way. A woman being submissive in a relationship does not necessarily equate being exploited or emotionally manipulated. Just as we can’t really define a normal mind, I don’t think we can quite define what exactly is a healthy relationship either other than it’s a relationship that works (which again is a sort of vague and open to interpretation word so really we are kind of chasing our own tails here).

So… when you ask me do I think Inukag is a healthy relationship… honestly, I don’t know. It’s the same as asking for example if I think the Kimye is a healthy relationship. Honestly I don’t know. I’m not the person inside those relationships. I don’t know how their relationship works or its fine details really. What I see is just the outward appearance of what their relationship is like, a small slice of the thing and not the entire thing (especially when you consider how young Kagome is and how long they are going to have together). Relationships can work in odd ways and really the only ones determining whether one works are the people in said relationship in the first place. A couple may come through rough patches, drift away from each other and end it, or they may learn something new, stick together through hardships, heartbreaks and maturity and fall in love in different ways. Considering how young both Kagome and Inuyasha are, it may very well happen that way. What we see is not the end of their life. Their life goes on even after the story ends.

If I were to disregard my ‘iffiness’ regarding what really is a healthy relationship any way and attempt to answer your question, I would say I’m torn.

On one hand, I feel concerned about Kagome rushing headlong into a relationship with Inuyasha when she’s barely an adult. She’s 18. She hasn’t really seen much of the world yet. She hasn’t fallen in love with anybody else, hasn’t dated. The world is so much bigger than just her school and house and her city. I personally don’t think she should rush. She hasn’t seen everything that’s available to her. She has to sacrifice so much (her world, her family, her way of life for 15 years before meeting him, her education, ain’t no boy or girl cute enough to prevent you from getting yourself an education) just to be with him. Is it really necessary that she needs to do it so quickly? If her love for Inuyasha and him for her is so great, surely it can wait a few years for Kagome to see what life has to offer on her side of the well first?

I also feel concerned about Inuyasha’s side of thing. That whole I love you but we can only be together if you get down to my side of the well and basically become Kikyo minus the angst thing is shady as shit lemme tell you. Though at least from what we can see, he genuinely thinks he loves Kagome (jury is out on whether it’s really Kagome he loves or not. That’s another can of worm I don’t want to get into) and has never of his own will try to harm her.

On the other hand though, I deeply believe in the individual’s right to self-determinate especially in the case of women because think of all the instances in history when women are told that other people know what is best for them better than themselves. I do think Kagome’s choice in rushing into a relationship/marriage with Inuyasha at 18 years old is ill-thought out at best, but at the end of the day, it is her choice to make, for good or for ill. And no one else can make that choice but hers.

In other words, I question Kagome’s choice to enter into marriage/relationship with Inuyasha at a mere 18 years old at the cost of giving up her life and family, but at the same time I defend her right to make that choice (even when I think it’s a poor choice at best).

And now I just realize I wrote a 1500+ words essay as an answer to a yes or no question. Sorry if it’s not the answer you were looking for. As you can see, I tend to overthink things… a lot… If you don’t like it, just disregard it. At the end of the day, it’s just an opinion and everybody’s got one of those.

okay

but imagine this concept

haruka nanase, aged 18

know how to user the computer!!!!!

mind-blowing

so

haru knows how to use the computer AND EVEN the internet. he can even type in the address. and write a blog. in fact he’s p popular on pixiv.

(altho he prefers drawr or tegaki because uploading pictures on pixiv is bothersome)

aaaaaaaaaand at first he was drawing only water and water stuff like oceans and waterfalls, and people LOVED THEM (and still do!!) because they were not only aesthetically beautiful but also had Soul, as if the artist was born in that place and knew everything about it. he’s kinda known as that wild dude who draws rad-ass water pics….. but is lazy as heck, as people realised when someone told him to release a book and he was like, ……..that would require me doing addional work. mmmmmgh

anonymous asked:

how can you agree water marking is the best thing to do i mean it looks so nasty why r they doing this

Well… wow, I sure hope none of my followers are the ones uploading to other websites. I agree that the watermark doesn’t look the best but…

Ok, look, I have nothing to do with Hetascanlations so I don’t get why you sent this to me. I am not affiliated with them in any way, lets make that clear. And they have explained in great detail on multiple occasions why they don’t want their work reposted, and frankly their statement that they don’t want it should be enough. THEY are the ones putting the work in, we should respect their wishes. But if you want an explanation from me, fine. This attitude has angered me enough. I don’t want to speak over them, but maybe I can help.

Ok, so for context, Hetascanlations announced today that they are going to watermark all their work from now on, in response to people reuploading their translations to manga reading websites. And they provided a reason for this.

Adverts.

Lets go through why this is bad, with ~visual aids~!

Manga reading websites generate profit from adverts. A lot of adverts. To illustrate, I randomly chose one of the sites Hetascanlations complained about: MangaReader.

As soon as I opened the page, I was greeted by this pop up ad

After closing the tab, I was taken to the main page, which had a plethora of adverts of its own

The bottom right one was playing a video with sound as well, I mean who WANTS to read manga on here when there is an ad free environment with the same content???

But anyway, it didn’t take me long to find the offending uploads

This is the Hetascanlations translation of a chapter only five days old. So one made long after they first requested that people stop reposting their work 4 months ago. And see that ad at the top of the screen? MangaReader, and other sites like it, are generating profit directly from the work of the Hetascanlations team.

This is the issue. Only Himaruya and the publishers should be making any profit from the series. And Hetascanlations doesn’t at all, I mean, do you see any adverts on their blog?

Or on their website?

I sure don’t. They do all this translation for free, to enable us non-Japanese speakers to keep up to date with the latest releases of Hetalia. We wouldn’t be able to access the content AT ALL without their work.

And issues of money aside, there is the issue of credit. Look at all that work scanning and translating and maintaining websites, done for no benefit to themselves; and by posting the work to other websites they are losing all recognition of their efforts.

A watermark will hopefully make it undesirable for websites like MangaReader to host the scans to start with. But even if they still do host the watermarked version, it gives the team their credit and recognition, and might lead to some of those reading on manga websites investigating their tumblr page. Thus finding the ad-free source of the content, and hopefully using that to access the series from now on.

I re-emphasise, I HAVE NO AFFILLIATION WITH THE HETASCANLATIONS TEAM. But it seems obvious to me from their statements that THIS is why they are watermarking.

And I would rather they did that than they stopped translating completely and prevented us from reading the series at all. They are not obligated to do any of this, and they get a lot of crap from some fans - we should be grateful, not antagonistic, that they have taken this step.

(And hetascanlations, if I have overstepped my bounds at all by saying all this PLEASE TELL ME, I am just an ordinary fan and I don’t want to put words in your mouth. But I have seen so many comments like the one in this ask - but if you want me to delete this post tell me and I will do so IMMEDIATELY)

Ello Again

Ello folks, just here to remind myself that this side blog is for me to post whatever I want about my daily life an stuff.

That, and to show how much I’ve changed in two semesters!

For instance, this use to be me on my first day of college last semester;

I was overweight, I knew it, and I hated it. Last semester I only sort of challenged myself with minimal things like taking extra stairs when they was already a faster way and such like that. I ended up going from a solid 281 lbs to about 260 lbs. Give or take about 5 lbs.

Then, this semester me and my mother both ended up on this crazy diet called the whole 30, and after about 3 months, I know look like this;

I clock in around 240 lbs, and now I need to think about buying a new wardrobe. Case in point in the form of a really shotty photo -because I can’t stand selfies and have absolutely zero practice in taking photo’s of my self with a phone.

My pants don’t fit me anymore and as far as I can tell, I’m a 38 around the waist, while I use to be about a 44. Its absolutely mind blowing what has happened! I’m wearing shirts that I pulled out of my storage locker, shirts that I bought when I was 12! (Yeah, I was kinda fat as a kid, and I was pretty ashamed to admit that I was fat when I took that first photo. But now, I really don’t care!)

A lots changed and I’m not even done. Starting next semester me and a buddy are going to be gym buddies. Well, truth be told, its more like he’ll be my trainer lol

I have had lots of different things to help me get to this point, some fictional characters, and others real people. I just wanna share a short list of those things and people;

My Parents – My step-father is a great man, and to me a hero. The definition of a hero is someone who would put themselves in a life or death situation in order to save another’s life, and for all intensive purposes, he’s been doing this throughout my childhood. He helped me with my depression, he’s made sure that I’ve been as happy as a poor person can, and he’s provided the means for me to escape my downward spiral into darkness. I almost took my life when I was younger, and he rooted me: He went out of his way to step up, give me a hug and words, and then he stood by me and helped me through my problems. He did that all while fighting his own demons. Losing his job, being forced to work outside of his dream career, and being pressured by his own family to leave my mother. I’m proud to call him dad, and I’m damn proud to say that to the world!

My mother, god bless her, has been through hell as well. She fell into a pretty bad way back in 2009. She became bed ridden to the point where when I was home and my dad wasn’t, I had to take care of her. She was like that for several years, and the doctors never could figure out what was wrong with her. Spring forward to now and she’s fighting her way back to health! She’s even going to be taking some college courses starting this Fall to try and get a degree in the arts!

http://jaxblade.tumblr.com/  – @jaxblade was a huge inspiration in for me, because in a lot of ways I want to be like him. I’d say he was a damn good choice in a roll model too- he’s the right balance of nerd and workout extraordinaire, and his story is one a lot of people can understand and commiserate to the point of inspiring them (people like me). I just want to add that he’s also helped push me along by actually looking at and responding to me the last time I mentioned him as a source for inspiration! That helped boost me even further.

My friends – Whether its been @ask-sociallyakwardshadeytune ‘s mod whose been my bro since way back in 4th grade, or the friends I’ve made in college, they’ve all been super encouraging and have even made changes in their own lifestyle to both support or get healthy/better with me.

Bob Ross – I mean, its Bob Ross. One of the best humans to have graced the Earth! This man had answers for everything, and I mean everything.

Saitama, AKA One Punch Man! – When I started to read the manga I got really pumped to work out and wanted to go out and do stuff. Not much more to say, other than that about this fictional hobby hero.

Izuku Midoriya, AKA Deku! – Izuku is pretty much on the same level as Saitama in my mind, but I couldn’t help myself but put what All Might said to him about becoming a hero onto my wall for motivation.

There are others, both real and fictional, but this list is already getting pretty long. This post is also way longer than I thought it was gonna be but I kinda got caught up in the moment lol. So thanks again. Thanks for being who you are/were. And thanks for inspiring me to be better at what I do!

Oh, and don’t worry about that Arby’s cup, its unsweet tea lol

[PRE-SHIPPUDEN ARCS] DOES SASUKE REALLY LIKE GIRLS WITH LONG HAIR?

THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG! BE WARNED.

Nobody talks about Sasuke’s feelings towards Sakura but I SHALL HELP YOU UNCOVER THE TRUTH with my theory.

PLEASE NOTE: It’s just my opinion and it doesn’t really represents everyone’s opinion so you can go ahead and make your opinion. I can have my opinion and you can have yours.

I would be going on to talk about the rumour about Sasuke liking girls with long hair or not, and how this relationship affects Sasuke and Sakura or not and the my theory behind it…
