i had to make reference to that song

Reasons why the Batman Lego Movie is arguably one of the best movies of 2017

  • Batman blankly says the lines of “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson and claims it as his own quote.
  • Uses every opportunity to call Robin “Master Dick” and still manages to keep a U rating
  • Patrick Stump writes and performs a heavy metal song both praising Batman and outing him for tax evasion
  • Proceeds to make 3 Suicide Squad jokes/references with 2 of them calling it stupid, then proceeds to use it’s plot for twenty minutes
  • Kite Man is there
  • The Bat Family bond by blowing up the Eye of Sauron
  • Voldemort, the Wicked Witch, Daleks, Jaws, the Gremlins and the raptors from Jurassic Park are all there for some reason and it’s never explained
  • The Justice League throw a party without Batman and he gets sad
  • “you’ve been union jacked”
  • Mentions Iron Man to remind you that Lego also has the rights to them
  • Puts in loads of pop songs to remind you that Lego bought the rights to them too
  • Actually makes a reference to Dick Grayson being able to speak Romanian
  • Has a genuinely amazing soundtrack
  • Is great and honestly if  I had the money I’d have already seen it 5 more times

#broducechallenge - super hot: choreography references

note: there are more references but these are my favorites :D

Beautiful Speak Now Album Things:
  • TAYLOR WROTE IT COMPLETELY BY HERSELF AT AGES 18-20!!!! AND IT WON 2 GRAMMYS!!!
  • Like every fuckin’ bridge on this album makes you want to cry
  • And all the lyrics are fucking awesome. It’s a lyric-driven album
  • “Every time I look at you, it’s like the first time”
  • “You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter”
  • Opening “Mine” with “uh-oh” and closing it with the background vocals echoing “I can see it now” to show the emotional journey of the character as she believes in love again over the course of the song
  • “BRACED MYSELF FOR THE GOODBYE / ‘CAUSE THAT’S ALL I’VE EVER KNOWN / AND YOU TOOK ME BY SURPRISE / YOU SAID, ‘I’LL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE’”
  • The entirety of “Mine,” the best love story ever told
  • The fact that Taylor resurrected Sparks Fly from the dead and put it on her 3rd album because we asked her to
  • The fact that Taylor also rewrote Sparks Fly and took out the lyrics that made it more sexual and about performing in a bar
  • The fact that the original lyric (now displayed in The Taylor Swift Experience) was “brown eyes” and she made it “green eyes”
  • How she describes the love interest as “a full-on rainstorm” and later says “meet me in the pouring rain”
  • The juxtapositions of rain and fire and then darkness and light in Sparks Fly
  • BACK TO DECEMBER
  • How the entire song is just an apology without any excuses. It just’s “I messed up and you suffered for it and you didn’t deserve that”
  • “you gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye”
  • How the orchestra makes everything so fucking beautiful??
  • The use of seasons in the second verse to describe the rise and fall of the relationship
  • How she references the 2009 VMA incident (”how you held me in your arms that September night / the first time you ever saw me cry”)
  • Speak Now being about the Paramore relationship drama and how Taylor was actually at the wedding it’s about lol
  • Taylor singing up an octave in Speak Now to sound like a gentle little girl about to crash the shit out of wedding
  • “a gown shaped like a pastry” “fond gestures are exchanged” “a song that sounds like a death march” “she floats down the isle like a pageant queen” = so descriptive?? conveys the feelings?? Queen of conveying emotions through descriptions
  • “you need to hear me out and they said Speak Now” “Your time is running out and they said Speak Now” “I hear the preacher say, ‘Speak Now or forever hold your peace” “So glad you were around when they said Speak Now” = queen of altering her main chorus line
  • “I’m not the kind of girl who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion” –> What’s the kind of girl tho?? I never knew
  • The giggle in the bridge
  • DEAR JOHN. THE ENTIRE SONG. ALL THE LYRICS.
  • How Dear John calls out emotional abuse by a much older man onto a 19 year old without any apologies or sympathizing with the man but also has pieces where the victim blames themselves and calls out a pattern of abuse of other women
  • But it ends with the victim retaining their self worth and escaping and it’s amazing
  • “the girl in the dress cried the whole way home” –> have you ever seen such a beautiful conveying of a young girl’s loss of emotional innocence
  • YOU SHOULD’VE KNOWN”
  • How the secret message of Dear John is “loved you from the very first day” which is a line on a bonus track “Superman” which is about how the love interest seems like the best guy in the world and a real life Superman
  • That fuckin’ banjo in Mean
  • How Mean began about a critic who said Taylor ruined her “entire career overnight” at the Grammys and then Taylor performing Mean at the Grammys and wining 2 Grammys for it
  • The use of a big city to display one’s level success (which is what actually happened when Taylor moved to NYC)
  • “A simple complication, miscommunications lead to fallout”
  • “I’D TELL YOU I MISS YOU BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW / I’VE NEVER HEARD SILENCE QUITE THIS LOUD”
  • Isn’t it weird how she says “and people would say they’re the lucky ones” then on the Speak Now Tour she wrote “The Lucky One” ?? weird
  • “So many things that I wish you knew / so many walls up I can’t break through” –> “So many things that you wish I knew / but the Story of Us might be ending soon”
  • That fuckin’ ramp up back into the chorus after the bridge in The Story of Us
  • How perfectly Never Grow Up conveys how scary can it feel to grow up
  • The bridge of Never Grow Up
  • How every song except Never Grow Up and Last Kiss use heavy production and background vocals and it makes those two songs that much more powerful in their simplicity
  • “I just realized everything I have is someday gonna be gone” and how this line gets more powerful the more years that go by
  • How Never Grow Up starts as a song to a baby, watches that baby grow up, and ends with Taylor  looking back at her life and the passage of time and swearing to protect that baby from harm….you ever cry
  • Just take 5 minutes and listen to Enchanted again pls
  • “Wonderstruck” “Enchanted” “Passing notes in secrecy” “this is me praying” “the very first page, not where the story line ends” “your eyes whispered” “this night is sparkling” “blushing all the way home” “I’ll spend forever wondering if you knew” “this night is flawless” “dancing ‘round all alone” –> So much mystical and whimsical imagery that you feel like you could call in love with the next person you see
  • The guitars in Enchanted
  • The production of Enchanted
  • “Sophistication isn’t what you wear or who you know / or pushing people down to get you where you wanna go”
  • “I always get the last word” “There is nothing I do better than revenge” “show me how much better you are” –> Taylor is v self-aware
  • Also how “show me how much better you are” is a reference to that JoBro song “Much Better” lmao so much 2008/2009 Disney drama
  • How Taylor wrote Innocent about the VMA incident when she could’ve just told you-know-who to fuck off
  • How Innocent looks at the subject from the perspective of their childhood and how they had “monsters” and “demons” that made them do bad things later in life and how this doesn’t make them a bad person
  • Knowing that you-know-who was one of Taylor’s favorite artists growing up so Innocent is also Taylor reconciling with herself how someone she artistically looked up to for years hurt her
  • The use of light: “time turns flames to embers” “your string of lights is still bright to me” “in your firefly catching days”
  • How Innocent is Never Grow Up but applied to someone else through the lens of forgiveness
  • “I hope you’ll remember: today is never too late to be brand new”
  • The orchestra in Haunted and how it makes the song sound urgent and the situation dangerous
  • “holding my breath” “your eyes go cold” “something’s gone terribly wrong” “can’t turn back now” “a fragile line” “it’s getting dark and it’s all too quiet and I can’t trust anything now” “come on, come on, don’t leave me like this” “can’t breath whenever you’re gone” “you’re not gone, you can’t be gone” –> everything sounds dangerous and urgent!! Like she’s actually gonna die!! And it’s called Haunted!! You get haunted by dead people!! But she’s saying she’s haunted!! The Haunting is killing her!! Holy shit!!
  • Last Kiss
  • The secret message of Last Kiss: “Forever and Always”
  • The breath in the bridge of Last Kiss
  • The use of time and the passage of time: “at 1:58″ “that July 9th” “you can plan for a change in weather and time” “your name forever the name on my lips” “I’ll watch your life in pictures” “I’ll feel you forget me” “I’ll keep up with our old friends” “I still remember” “L
  • “I’m not much for dancing, but for you I did” –> “I don’t wanna dance if I’m not dancing with you” (Holy Ground)
  • THE BRIDGE: “So I’ll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep / and I’ll feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe / and I’ll keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are / hope it’s nice where you are / I hope the sun shines and it’s a beautiful day / and something reminds you / you wish you had stayed /  you can plan for a change in the weather and time / but I never planned on you changing your mind”
  • LONG LIVE
  • How the secret message of Long Live is “For you”
  • How Taylor ends Speak Now with a song for her fans and her band that she wrote during the Fearless Tour
  • How Long Live because even more powerful and beautiful and even sadder the more the years go by and the more successful Taylor becomes and as original member of The Agency leave/are left go
  • How Taylor wrote “we will be remembered” when she was like 19 and was still on her second album and before she won AOTY for the first time and wasn’t even close to the prime of her career but she was proud of how far she had come already and how Long Live sounds like a song someone writes at the end of their career to reflect on their accomplishments
  • How Taylor wrote “promise me this: that you’ll stand by me forever” and every band member she has ever had still speaks highly of her and defends her
  • “When they point to the pictures, please tell them my name” but now no one will have to because everyone knows who she is and will know who she is for a long time because of her accomplishments and effect on popular culture
  • “It was the end of a decade but the start of an age” Taylor literally had no idea how true this line would become
  • HOW SHE ENDS THE ENTIRE ALBUM WITH “ONE DAY, WE WILL BE REMEMBERED”

Harry Styles Reflects on Life After One Direction & More at Grammy Museum in L.A.

Four months after releasing his eponymous debut and hitting No. 1 on the Billboard 200, One Direction alumnus Harry Styles revisited the album with executive producer Jeff Bhasker during an hour-long chat moderated by famed journalist and film director Cameron Crowe at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on Friday night (Sept. 15).

During the conversation, the 23-year-old, who kicks off his world tour in San Francisco on Sept. 19, shared sharp and astute reflections on his artistic process, spanning everything from isolating himself in a studio in Jamaica to developing ideas to moving on from being in a band and how entering this chapter of his career allowed for new beginnings.

The chat began with Styles recalling how the record began: without any outside influence, and with nothing but fond memories of his time with 1D.

“We started the record without a label, so the start of the process didn’t feel like I was making any sort of commitment and I didn’t feel any pressure, [like] ‘You have to make this,’ or anyone have an influence on what they thought I should be making,” said Styles, clad in a black tee, black skinny jeans and a golf cap. “It was just a group of us writing stuff to have fun and writing some songs and seeing what came out with the thought that I would actually play them myself. I think that’s a large part of the record is that it started that way. It didn’t start from, what do they want? I think if you’re lucky, I didn’t go into making the album or leave the band coming out of it feeling suppressed or feeling like I never got to write what I wanted to write. I loved being in the band so much and got to learn so much, and with this, I felt like I could just have a good time working out what it would sound like if I made an album.”

When Bhasker, who has credits on projects from Beyonce and Rihanna to fun. and Mark Ronson, was first approached to work with Styles, he cancelled not one but two meetings with the pop star – something Styles was quick to remind him – but inevitably came around.

“I was in a place where I knew he was a very high profile person and artist and I was kind of searching for something else than doing that,” Bhasker explained. “When you come full circle, and I think the kind of music that we made, it’s so ironic that that first impulse I thought it would be, I think the album reflects it.” “To be honest, I didn’t know any of that,” quipped Styles to laughter. “I’m sort of sad! I mean it’s Hollywood, everyone cancels.”

Crowe served as a pensive moderator, drawing from anecdotes he learned from writing the Rolling Stone cover story on Styles in April 2017. “Are the best songs the most personal songs in general?” he asked. “I think my favorite songs,” responded Styles, “but my favorite way to listen to music is on my own, with my eyes closed for example, or not. If I’m driving, or operating machinery, I usually keep them open. But my favorite song on the album, the last song, ‘From the Dining Room,’ is the most personal to me and I think my favorite one. But I don’t think they have to be. I think it’s just as important to have songs that are fun and make you feel great, and I think that’s just as important as everything being moody and deep and meaningful.”

Bhasker recounted how he initially sat with Styles on his balcony, listening to reference tracks thinking they were Styles demos but were actually White Stripes songs. Bhasker initially had mentee producers hit the studio with Styles, but got more involved when the singer, wanting to unplug from distractions (including Instagram and Twitter, which Styles now rarely uses), took a recommendation from a friend to go to Jamaica to work in a singular recording space.

“I felt I was going into the studio to make an album I wanted to make,” said Styles. “I didn’t feel like, what do I need to make as Harry from that band for it to be good? I missed music. I just wanted to go on and write with my friends and have a good time and hopefully like what came out at the end.”

In the end, Harry Styles became a renowned success, spawning the single “Sign of the Times” that peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100, amid a year where his theatrical debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk also marked his first time at the top of the box office. The chat concluded with Styles taking a few questions from the fans, explaining that his signature rings that he wears are from various people including grandparents and for his goddaughter and even taking a kazoo from one fan who suggested he play any song of his choosing (he picked one from Shania Twain).

It wouldn’t be a night without some music, and Styles strapped on a six-string to play a stripped-down version of “Two Ghosts” alongside Bhasker on keys and guitarist Mitch Rowland. Some words from earlier rang true as he thanked the audience: “It made it so we were in Jamaica, we’re in the studio every day, we just didn’t think about anything else. It was about these five guys in a room, we’re in Jamaica, let’s make some music that we want to sit in Jamaica and listen to, and that was it. I found it so difficult to explain music and making it and so much of the details, and we just wanted to write what we wanted to listen to and what we loved. And we finished with an album that we’re so happy with.”

You Are Where I Belong

So a couple nights ago I was making a reference sheet for a friend of mine who asked how I lay out the structure of bodies in my work, and I had my music on shuffle. When I was finishing up the ref sheet, “Latika’s Theme” from Slumdog Millionaire came up.

Latika’s Theme has been in my art music playlist for years and years for a reason. It always makes me draw soft, sweet, tender things. Obviously. The title of this piece is from the song “Dreams on Fire”, also from Slumdog, which carries the same tune.

This fandom needs more artwork of Yuuri loving on Victor, imo. Most of it seems to be of Victor loving on Yuuri and while that’s wonderful, I’d like to see it the other way around sometimes, too!

“I’d like to think Mr. Carter and I understand each other. Nobody who met us as younger men would have expected us to be where we are today. We know what it’s like not to have a father around. We know what it’s like not to come from much and to know people who didn’t get the same breaks that we did. So we tried to prop open those doors of opportunity so it’s a little easier for those who come up behind us to succeed as well.

Jay and I are also fools for our daughters, although he’s going to have me beat once those two twins show up. And let’s face it: we both have wives who are significantly more popular than we are.

Like all of you, I am a fan. I’ve been listening to Jay since I was a young and hungry State Senator. I sampled his lyrics to close my speech at Selma; I tweeted a reference to ‘My 1st Song’ as I was putting the finishing touches on my final State of the Union address; I had to brush some dirt off my shoulders during a campaign.

So I’m pretty sure I’m still the only President to listen to JAY Z’s music in the Oval Office. That may change at some point, but I’m pretty sure that’s true now. In fact, Jay, you have been inspiring in making me want to be active in my retirement just like you have been in yours, so I’m going to close by saying something Jay once said that struck me. He said: 'I’ve never looked at myself and said that I need to be a certain way to be around a certain sort of people. I’ve always wanted to stay true to myself, and I’ve managed to do that. People have to accept that.’ So with that, I’m proud to help present this award to a true American original, the first hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Mr. Shawn Carter.”

In My Veins Part Two // A Stiles Stilinski AU

Prompt: Life is all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever. But, what if one day, you could no longer remember any of them? (Part 2 of 3)

Series: Part One

Relationship: Stiles Stilinski x Reader

Warnings: NSFW, Explicit Sexual Content, Smut, Oral (Male on Female), Angst, Swearing, and Prepare Tissues For Your Tears.

Word Count: 12,264 (I put my heart and soul into it, I promise it’s worth it)

Song: Wait by M83

A/N: I forgot to mention in part one, but yes this is based on The Vow! Also this ended up getting too long, so I had to split it into two. Because of that, there will be a part three! I hope you guys enjoy this. It’s filled with more Teen Wolf references and I hope it makes you cry. If that doesn’t than the super sweet and loyal Stiles Stilinski surely will.

“Okay, but what are we doing in a high school on a Saturday?” (Y/N) asked, more confused than she’s ever been. And that’s saying a lot compared to what she’s gone through the past few weeks.

“Well, we spent more time here than most high school students should.” Stiles shrugged. “Maybe you’ll remember something.”

“You don’t have to remember anything, okay?” Lydia intervened the couple. “Just take a look around and maybe something will be triggered.”

(Y/N) nodded and decided she likes the redhead with the green eyes. She was kind and incredibly helpful, more than Stiles was being. It wasn’t exactly his fault, though, he was just too involved and his emotions were all over the place. You can’t blame him for that.

The young woman looked at the few people that decided to join her today and smiled at them. Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Kira, and Isaac all smiled back before she entered the nearest classroom and began looking around for anything. They followed her and (Y/N) felt more nervous than anything. She wanted to remember so she could be free of all of this pain she was feeling, but most importantly, to be free of all this guilt she had inside of her. She couldn’t stand looking at these people and disappoint them anymore. She wanted to remember them and make the pack happy again.

“Anything?” Scott asked and (Y/N) felt like crying as she roamed around the classroom.

“Nothing.” She confessed, all of the pack internally sighing.

“Let’s go to another room.” Isaac suggested, trying to bring everyone’s hope back. “What about the boys’ locker room? Even though she wasn’t supposed to be, (Y/N) was always in there.”

“Why was I in the locker room so often? What the hell was wrong with me?” (Y/N) laughed as they walked to their new destination.

“Well, being in a pack and fighting against the supernatural gets you certain privileges normal people don’t have.” Scott shrugged and (Y/N) laughed even harder.

“What a blessing.” She joked and Stiles’ heart ached when she used her usual sarcasm. It was all there, everything about the (Y/N) he knew and loved was right there inside her. It was just so impossible to reach.

SoHo, New York City  |  9:57 PM

.     .     .

The soft golden glow from the lights overhead illuminated the area in a warm, alluring haze that cast everyone in shadows in just the right places. The gloss of the oak bar top shimmered in that light, making the perspiration that touched the wood from your sweating glass glisten brilliantly and you were entranced in watching a drop form. Lost in thought and staring at the cocktail in your fingers, you were unaware of the three men that entered the bar.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 DELIVERED...

hell yea so here are my thoughts it’s really spoilery because the show came out here yesterday and i watched it just now (at night) so i may be incoherent bear with me!!

- starting from the ending, ADAM WARLOCK WILL BE IN THE SERIES. so fans speculated he’d show up in this movie because of the after credits scene in the last Guardians movie depicting a broken cocoon. that was a good guess but it was incorrect. he didn’t show up in the movie at all he actually came up in the post credits scene! ‘She’ (or Ayesha) supposedly created him and decided to give ‘He’ the name Adam aka Warlock.

- in the comics Warlock is given the Soul Stone and currently that’s the last Infinity Stone so it’s going to be amazing to see whether or not he comes into owning it (theories are that Heimdall possesses the last stone, it’s going to be interesting!!)

- i hate Peter’s dad. screw him HOW DARE HE PUT A TUMOR INTO PETER’S MUM’S HEAD WTH????? die you prick die (though Peter with the cool energy thing from being half celestial was rather amazing, pretty sad he doesn’t have that power source anymore unless the marvel creators decide on a new source) also Ego (his dad) having thousands of children just to find a compatible one to rule the universe (aka destroy it) with him is just awful ew

- BABY GROOT IS PRECIOUS I WILL KILL YOU  IF YOU COME NEAR HIM (the flipping part where Ego the arsehole was trying kill the Guardians and Groot was being squished and he started crying oh my god my heart) also him not understading crap is adorable (PRECIOUS BABY OF THE GROUP) also the post credit scene with teenage Groot going through puberty was hilarious i’m dead. ALSO HIM DANCING WHILE THE REST ARE FIGHTING A MONSTER AND THEM CONSTANTLY HAVING TO TAKE CARE OF HIM aka GAMORA WAVING HI, ROCKET STOPPING MID WAY TO TELL HIM TO SPIT OUT A BUG AND HIM BEING ANGRY AT DRAX FOR DESTROYING THE STEREO PLAYING THE SONG HE WAS DANCING TO LMAO

- Mantis is precious and innocent and oh my god Drax going “you’re ugly” and then going “that’s good cause if someone loves you then you know they do.” beautiful people don’t know who to trust - absolutely true. and at the end when he went “you’re beautiful, on the inside” #yes

- Peter and Gamora are my first hetero ship in years. #thisunspokenthing (them dancing to Sam Cooke was just awwwww)

- Peter being a precious bean and carrying around a photo of Hassleholf all the time to pretend that he’s his father and all he wanted was to play ball with his father and the first thing he did with Ego was play with a ball of energy. it’s a sweet moment despite how dubious the whole thing seemed.

- Nebula character development was one of my favourite things ever because she went for “i will kill you Gamora” to “I just wanted a sister” gosh the feels, such a good movie.

- Gamora, Drax and Rocket referring to the  Guardians as a family #best

- Groot making Yondu an honorary Guardian

- Yondu being the best father figure to Peter ever and him dying and me sobbing horribly in the theatre (my awesome friend was crying with me and she was handing me tissues bless)

- okay symbolism time, Peter had his Sony WALKMAN to listen to his mum’s Awesome Mixes and when Ego destroys this, he eventually receives another device from Yondu to listen to over 300 songs on. The WALKMAN is akin to his old family (his mother and Ego) and his new player is a representation of his new family (the Guardians and Yondu)

- Ayesha (’She’) is pretty cool but christ she is scary. The Sovereignty armada is pretty cool, it’s like a giant arcade where the people are shooting their targets virtually through drones. Pretty interesting stuff (especially with the video game noises)

- Rocket being referred to as a “triangle-faced-monkey”, “raccoon”, “fox” etcetera. and him being a giant softie inside because of his beginings (also him referring to Ego as a one-inch-tall man and winking with his wrong eye HAHA)

- i laughed too much during this movie bless me

- STAN LEE IN SPACE

- Sylvester Stallone !!

- 700 jumps and face warping #priceless

- Howard the Duck cameo

- TAZERFACE

- horrendous inneundos everywhere help

- FANTASTIC SPACE FIREWORKS FOR YONDU’S FUNERAL YAS HONOUR HIM YALL

SUCH A GOOD SHOW IM SO HAPPY GUYS GO WATCH IT SOON OKAY edit : omg i typed this at 3am and wrote Arnold Schwarzenegger instead of Sylvester Stallone oh my brain HAHAHAHA

Ryden Theory

This is a compilation of evidence confirming the very popular sun and moon theory (and overall ryden). Basically, the theory is that Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie and Ryan Ross have a romantic relationship, which they hint at in songs through the titles ‘sun’ (Brendon) and ‘moon’ (Ryan). I will prove this theory to be true using lyrics from Ryan’s solo music, Panic! Lyrics, lyrics from songs released by Ryan’s band ‘The Young Veins,’ and general background knowledge of the bands. I do not mean to offend anyone, and I am not saying this is fact. I just know us fangirls need some hope, so I’m gathering it all into one (soft and) neat pile. I understand that Brendon is happily married, and this is only for fun.
Let’s begin:

A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out:
This was the band’s first album, meaning Ryan and Brendon had not known each other as long, and may not have been together yet. So, understandably, there are no sun and moon references in this album.
Pretty. Odd.:
1- Nine In The Afternoon- “And your eyes are the size of the moon.” This is a simple reference to the moon, but considering it is mentioned in a song that refers to the people in the song as lovers (“feeling as good as lovers can”), it can be seen as evidence.
2- Do You Know What I’m Seeing?- “Clouds are marching along,” “I never gave a damn about the weather and it never gave a damn about me,” and “birds are just hollow words.” All of these lyrics are describing things that can be found in the sky, as if the song is from the point of view of something in the sky, like a sun or a moon. Also, if you really wanna stretch it, you could take the lyric “if I go to hell, will you come with me” as evidence. Going to hell is going down, and something that lives in the sky might see earth as hell.
3- I Have Friends In Holy Spaces- “I’d like it a lot more than you think, if the sun would come out and sing with me.” Ryan sings very rarely, but after this song, Ryan has some important vocal parts. Sure, Ryan is the moon, so that doesn’t make too much sense, but it seems too perfect to be a coincidence.
4- Northern Downpour- “Hey moon, please forget to fall down.” It says moon, and I’m not gonna try to look any farther into the lyrics because I don’t understand what sugarcane and weather vanes have to do with anything.
5- When The Day Met The Night- “When the moon fell in love with the sun,” “When the sun found the moon,”and “All was golden when the day met the night.” This song is the best piece of evidence for this theory. The entire song is just telling the love story of the sun and the moon. Also, in a live version of the song, Brendon accidentally used male pronouns for both the sun and the moon.
6- She Had The World- “Spun the stars on her fingernails,” “When I look in her eyes, well I, just see the sky,” and “the sun was always in her eyes.” The entire song makes many references to the sky, which is a clue in itself, but the song also specifically says that they see the sun in the person’s eyes.
7- Mad As Rabbits- (Evidence of ryden, not sun and moon) “Paul Cates” and “Reinvent love.” Paul Cates is an lgbt activist, and reinvent love is referring to lgbt relationships, like ryden.

Vices And Virtues:
This is the album after Ryan left, so almost none of this evidence is sun and moon, and instead just Brendon being salty af.
1- The Ballad Of Mona Lisa- “Say what you mean, tell me I’m right, and let the sun rain down on me.” I take this as Brendon being angry that Ryan left, and saying ‘Well forget our sun and moon thing’ by using it in spite of him.
2- Let’s Kill Tonight- Let me begin this by saying, I thought this song was talking about having a hell of a night, but he might be saying ‘let’s murder Ryan tonight.’ I’ll take it piece by piece. “Make room! We’re taking over here.” Everyone says Ryan left because of musical differences, so Brendon might be saying that he is finally taking control of the band and doing what he wants with it. “Cold and alone, it suits you well.” This is probably Brendon teasing Ryan by saying that he will be alone because he no longer has Brendon. “May your feet serve you well, and the rest be sent to hell.” His feet serving him well is referring to him walking out on the band, and the other part is just him telling him to go to hell. “Where they have always belonged.” He is telling Ryan he belongs in hell. “Cold hearts brew colder songs.” This honestly might be a crack at Ryan’s songwriting skills. “Let’s kill tonight.” Basically, he wants to murder Ryan.
3- Hurricane- “You’re behind my eyelids when I’m all alone.” He still thinks about Ryan, but he is ashamed of that. “I want you to catch me like a cold.” He wants to be held in Ryan’s arms. “Give me peace, Oh, kiss me.” He wants Ryan to kiss him. Pretty obvious.
4- Memories- “She was the youngest of the family, and the last to be let go.” Brendon is the youngest band member and will be the last original member to be let go because everyone else left poor bden. “When they decided they would try to make it on their own.” Jon and Ryan decided to try and make music on their own. “When July became December, their affection fought the cold.” Ryan left in July, so maybe Ryan and Brendon tried to stay together after he left, but it slowly became harder because of touring and being in different bands. “They were young and independent, And they thought they had it planned, Should have known right from the start, you can’t predict the end.” Ryan and Brendon thought they would be together forever, but they did not.
5- Trade Mistakes- I feel like Brendon wrote this song from Ryan’s POV after he left Panic! Keep that in mind when reading the lyrics. “If I ever leave, I could learn to miss you, but ‘sentimental boy’ is my nom de plume.” A nom de plume is a pseudonym. So, he may be saying, Ryan seems emotionally cold, but he really does miss Brendon after leaving. “If I trade mistakes for sheep.” This is saying that leaving panic! Was a mistake on Ryan’s part.
6- Always- “I’m a fly that’s trapped in a web, but I’m thinking that, my spider’s dead.” He is saying that he is in love (caught in a web), but the spider is never going to come end his suffering (Ryan will never come back.) The song overall is a hopeless song of unrequited love that seems to perfectly fit the emotions Brendon would be feeling after his boyfriend left him.
7- Sarah Smiles- “I was fine just a guy living on my own, waiting for the sky to fall.” This is saying that he was all alone, waiting for the moon to come back. (I died when I figured that one out.)
8- Nearly Witches- “Marching clocks.” This is a lyric from Behind The Sea, so Brendon is referencing Ryan’s lyrics. (This lyric was one added by Brendon, so it was not from the demo.) “As a girl.” He was trying so hard to make it sound like he wasn’t talking about Ryan that it has the opposite effect. “Trembling hands play my heart like a drum but the beats gotten lost in the show.” This is saying that Ryan (a musician) used to love Brendon, but now Brendon wasn’t so sure if he did.
9- Stall Me- “Why would you bring me in if you knew what you’d become?” Brendon is asking why Ryan would ever start their relationship if he knew he was going to leave the band. “So curse everyone and everything, even the sun.” I think Brendon is saying that he hates everything, even himself.
10- Kaleidoscope Eyes- “I’ll still be here, wishing and waiting for you to come home.” Does that even need explaining?

Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die:
At this point, Brendon is in a very serious relationship (which became marriage in April of the year this album was released), so he had no references to Ryan. If you look really far into it (which I have done), you will find evidence, but it makes me sound like a crazy conspiracist.
Death Of A Bachelor:
1- House of Memories- “Memories turn into daydreams.” He is referencing the song Memories, saying that the pain that comes with remembering Ryan has faded. “When your fantasies. Become your legacies, promise me a place, in your house of memories.” He is saying that whenever Ryan becomes big in the music industry (hopefully), Brendon wants Ryan to remember him. “I think of you from time to time, more than I thought I would.” Brendon continues to think about Ryan, even six years after Ryan left. “Thoughts of past lovers, they’ll always haunt me.” Brendon continues on the idea of Ryan ‘haunting’ him, which originates in the song Nearly Witches.

And that is the end of Panic! They have not released music since that album, and I’m sure if they did, it has been so long that they would provide no new evidence. So, now we shall move on to the most depressing segment, but the section that contains really convincing evidence. Ryan Ross’ solo music!
Ryro’s Solos:
1- Lonely Moonlight- “The sun went down.” He lost Brendon. “Another day I lost, filled with regret.” He regrets leaving Panic! “I wandered through the sunshine, remembering when you were mine.” He is remembering whenever the sun was his. “Lonely moonlight.” A lonely moon lets off lonely moonlight, and he is very lonely without Brendon. “When I had a younger heart, you told me not to fear the dark.” When he was younger, Brendon(the sun)’s light lit his way. Also known as Brendon helped him through tough times. “Someone I love, loves someone else.” Brendon married Sarah four months before this song was released. That makes this song even more heartbreaking.
2- At Your Window- “Then it’s been dark since the sun came up, and now that your window’s shut.” By saying that his window is shut, Ryan is trying to say that Brendon is shutting out the moon, or cutting all ties with Ryan, and ignoring him. “And I find myself outside, at your window in the night.” The moon is outside everyone’s window at night, so I think Ryan is saying that he still finds himself wanting to be Brendon’s moon. “Through the sun, I see where I come from.” He mentions the sun again. (like, Ryan, isn’t this a little much. Why don’t you just scream an admission of your love for Brendon?) “Throw a stone at your home do you really even live here.” Once again, he is being ignored by Brendon Urie.
3- I’m down- “We got down.” This might be saying that they are no longer the sun and the moon because they left the sky. Also the title of the song is evidence because Ryan might be referring to the lyric ‘hey moon, don’t you you go down’ from Northern Downpour. That title might be a way of saying that things are really over because the moon has gone down.
4- Where I Belong- “If you wanna see the sun, you’re gonna have to dig your way out.” If he wants Brendon back, he is gonna have to work hard to get back into Panic!. “I’m done with the dark.” He wants his sun back. “I know I should’ve never left.” He wishes he hadn’t left Panic! (I know that isn’t ryden proof but whatever)

And now for The Young Veins Section.

The beautiful music The Young Veins created before their tragic death (the band not the members Ryro and Jon are alive):
1- Maybe I Will, Maybe I Won’t- “At least will you come visit me.” Ryan wants Brendon to at least try and make their relationship work.
2- Everyone, But You- “She comes to me when I dream, I’m tired of counting sheep to see her, I sleep because I need her, And everybody knows it but you, But you.” He is basically saying that he dreams about Brendon and misses him, but Brendon is the only one who doesn’t know that.
3- Take A Vacation- “If this is settling down, then why aren’t you here?” It is hitting Ryan that he and Brendon will not be together forever. “We’ll leave the waves at the ocean,” and “and leave the sand in a suitcase, so we don’t forget the fun,” both connect to the fact that Brendon left his virginity on a beach in North Carolina. A beach, might I add, that him and Ryan were both swimming at least half naked in. Plus, Ryan posted a romantic poem that night about kissing at the beach. I need to post a separate theory all about the ocean.
4- The Young Veins (Die Tonight)- Ryan said this song was written before he and Jon had left Panic! He also said he was having girl (Brendon) problems at the time. “Is ‘young’ a word for ‘dumb,’ a word for ‘fun’?” He and Brendon were young, and he feels stupid that they ever thought things would work out between them. “But if I were to die tonight, Would you cry or deny, My place in your life?” Brendon may have been ashamed of being with Ryan, so Ryan wondered if Brendon even cared. “I’m aware that you’re scared, Of my heart, but it’s here.” They were both young when romantic lyrics began appearing in their songs, so Brendon may have been overwhelmed by being in love that soon. He might have been scared of being in a serious relationship. “The shame is enough to separate us.” We all know that Brendon is very accepting of every sexuality, but he may have been more hesitant back then. “It really hurts when it’s wrong.” Once again, they may have been ashamed of being in a relationship with another man.
5- Dangerous Blues- “All I do is lie by the ocean side.” Once again, this may be referring to the fact that Ryan and Brendon most likely had sex for the first time the same night that they visited a beach. “Step outside your door, and go to the shore.” This is also probably about Brendon and him having sex at the ocean.
6- Lie To The Truth- “I know I broke your heart, Mine is broken too, Now if we’re even, Then why are we both blue?” He may be saying that he broke Brendon’s heart by leaving, and he broke his own heart as well, so why don’t they just stop hurting each other and try to make things work.
7- Heart of Mine- “If I could ask for anything, I’d only want my girl… I had to leave her all alone.” Dude. He left Brendon when he left Panic!… Dude.

I will post a separate theory for the Myrtle Beach theory if anyone wants me to. Leave a comment if you want me to post any other Panic! theories or if you have anything to say about this theory.

Games & Flames (Rivals AU Playlist)

I made a playlist a few months ago to release some of the feels from reading @kazliin‘s Rivals AU fanfic, Until My Feet Bleed and My Heart Aches (which is seriously one of the best Yuri on Ice fics written out there and yOU SHOULD TOTALLY READ IT!!!!) but then the companion fic came, and the feels dam just fucking exploded again. I just kept hearing songs that sounded like they’d go nicely with the fic, and I knew I had to make another playlist.

And so here we are! I call this playlist Games & Flames because Viktor seems to like playing mind games and playing with fire hahaha rEAD THE FICS AND YOU’LL UNDERSTAND WHY. also because I like rhymes. Here’s a link to the series again for reference! Details on the playlist and more of my ramblings about why I chose the songs are under the cut~

Wait let me get this straight, he went to Amsterdam with Elk and Oli? So who was he referring to in that song?? I thought he's so in love with elk?? I am confused hahahahaha

Now I’m a bit confused with his new tweet. Either he was talking about that trip and referencing someone who wasn’t there, or his tweet was saying he had gone there previously without this person but now made it there with them last month which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense if you consider when he could have been talking about a first trip there. I don’t know what the story is supposed to be here, but the Amsterdam trip was made public for a reason and he spent his time there at a gay bar and I don’t know what’s going on. But I want to hear more of the song!!

BTS’ reaction to their s/o having a lot of their memes

Seokjin

He would look at your laptop in absolute amazement, starting to observe the various memes (especially on him and his lame jokes). He wouldn’t dare to look at you for hours, not because he’s embarrassed but because he could burst to laugh at any moment and you would have other material in that case.
Only after a few days, having noticed his strange attitude, you faced him and he starts to sweat to restrain laughter.
“I didn’t know you had certain… Kink.”
“What??”
“I used your laptop the other day…”
At that moment you understand and run to hide in the bathroom because of the embarrassment.

Yoongi

Find a full album of memes on them didn’t touch him at all. He was using your phone to look for his selca, taken days before and forgotten when his gaze falls on the name of the folder. He doesn’t even need to open it because just the preview is clear enough to make everything understand.
He doesn’t say anything, he just puts your phone back on the nightstand and returns to work on the song from which he had moved away for a few minutes.
Just a few nights later, while you’re having dinner with others, he understands that he can tease you with that little secret.
“Jagi, I didn’t know that my being often in a uniform was a kink of yours.”
The silence is dense but you understand immediately what it refers to because that smirk on his face is familiar. Blushing you remain silent while he enjoys the pink shade on your cheeks.

( We know Yoongi, we know.…. Pls ignore the sub)

I was reading your rendition of Just Hold On, (which was simply marvelous), and I wondered. Sweet Creature was made shortly after Harry's birthday. And the letter of SOTT, also passes a message that is to hold. Do you think these songs have any relation? It's hard to think of coincidences when it comes to Harry and Louis.

Hi!

I had some vague thoughts about the relationship between JHO and SOTT, and this question forced me to focus my thoughts. So here they are.

Previously, I had talked about JHO as a song of affirmation and reassurance following Jay’s death. But JHO is also a love song, as the music video showed us. Not merely a love song, but a love song with pointed references to Harry and Louis (the jacket colors, the baseball cap/ fedora, the first meeting in a concert and then meeting later outside of the concert, the travel to multiple music venues around the world, the love that is not only intoxicating but domestic and ends in marriage).

SOTT also has pointed references to Jay. Harry says in his Rolling Stone interview, “The song is written from a point of view as if a mother was giving birth to a child and there’s a complication. The mother is told, ‘The child is fine, but you’re not going to make it.’ The mother has five minutes to tell the child, ‘Go forth and conquer.‘”

I had sort of dismissed this quote, but after reading this post, I could be convinced of the song as a description of Jay’s wish for her child’s career to blossom– as a way of saying good-bye, but also giving her blessing to her child. The child’s “birth” is the career coming to fruition.

“Paris is good. Nice call, Monsieur.”

“De nada, muchacha.”

Thank you for 100 follows! Needless to say, I miss these two real bad and I have for around six years. DC writers are pretty sadistic ya know that? Then again, I guess I might be too.

Because who has time or money to read almost 30 years of relationship development…

Here’s a youtube playlist of all the songs (except Need To Know), sorry I couldn’t provide you with an 8tracks link but I haven’t figured that website out really! All of the songs are available on Spotify, so if you wanna make a playlist there, feel free! C:

This is my own personal drarry playlist that I thought I could share! It starts out with pretty angsty songs, and in the end there’s a bit more fluff! I divided them all into different parts, as you can see (pre war, during war and post war). I’m referring to the war that happened in canon ofc. This playlist kinda suggests how their relationship could’ve developed if it had been canon.

Tbh I want to explain every song in more detail, why I chose it and my favorite lyrics etc. BUT I WON’T, otherwise this post would be annoyingly lengthy!

I hope you’ll find at least ONE song you like in here! There’s a lot of songs to pick from hahah ;v; Happy birthday (in advance) Harry!! <3
