An iwaoi AU in which college student Oikawa is stuck in a timeloop after an unfortunate tarot card reading. He is doomed, without fail, to die at the end of the week and then be sent back to seven days prior over and over until he is able to fall in love.

Pardon my extremely rusty Japanese, but it pretty much translates to “Oikawa Tooru will die,” which was the morbid mantra I had while thinking about this hahaha. Oikawa and Iwa, sadly, don’t know each other here. I might post more drabbles/notes another time.

Life is steamrolling me, I’m so sorry I haven’t been posting more on my other AUs! Miss you guys and hope everyone’s been doing well ~ <3

Side note: this is part 1 of my May 2nd day, if you guys want i’ll post my second part of the day!

A short 5-page comic, “Constellation”, about homesickness and finding new homes.

I felt like I was kind of in a stylistic rut so I tried some new stuff with a limited color palette–it was a lot of fun!

Amalgamated constructs, or corpse dragons, are a class of demonic units valued for their physical malleability and human level intelligence. They are utilized in standard military operations by most countries, typically supporting human squadrons.

Like most constructs, they consist of colonies of microscopic demons, but their binding core is the cadaver of a drowned magician. Although their deployment in warfare is controversial and has been condemned by the United Nations since 1956, the practice is still technically legal.

“[People Magazine] asked people to recreate scenes from famous movies in a photo. They asked Andy Samberg and I if we wanted to recreate a scene from a movie like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and we said that sounds great, but we’d rather do a scene from E.T. You might be like, "How could you and Andy do that; one of those is a child and one of those is an alien! Well, I feel like we nailed it.” - Seth Meyers

FACTS ABOUT CONNOR MURPHY (spoilers)

So I have decided to post all the facts and hints about Connor Murphy’s past that are shown in the musical. It’s hard to make out considering people in the fandom usually focus on the lies Evan tells to figure out Connor’s personality.

To get this conclusion (which I will post in a second) I literally skipped all scenes concerning Evan’s lies and went directly to the Murphy family and what they say. None of these facts/hints involve what Evan said about Connor.

First of all, I’ll say now that I have put my own interpretation on each of these facts.

And so, I will put all FACTS in BOLD.
Anything out of bold is my own interpretation and how I see it to be. It’s up to you to agree with me or disagree.

First, I will post my conclusions on each family member, and then afterwards, I will post the reasons for each one.

Zoe

Zoe was an emotional and verbal abuse victim. There is no evidence of physical abuse, although there were threats that could have potentially led to that. She has all the right to not grieve over Connor, in all honesty, she could have sent him to the police for what he did, but as an abuse victim, that is very hard to do. Connor was probably the cause of most of her insecurities and she hated him for that. The unhealthy habit of taking out his anger on the nearest person to him probably made him lash out at his sister whenever he had a panic attack. Judging by how he really did care enough to keep the creepy letter about his sister, written by Evan, in his pocket for 3 days before he committed suicide, it’s safe to say that he really regretted being mean to his sister and actually cared about her.

Connor’s mom, Cynthia

Connor’s mom was a woman obsessed with reputation. She’s known as the rich man’s wife, and wants more than anything to be a regular family. But because her son had mental illnesses, her perfect image was ruined. She acted as though she was there for him but when it came down to it, she did nothing. She pushed for therapy but after a while, her husband took him out of it because “it wasn’t worth the money,” and she basically went, “welp, I tried.” I will quote what I say later: Connor’s mom might not actually be sad that her son is gone, but rather, she’s ashamed that her family actually doesn’t care. It seems like Connor’s mom is filled with regret for not being there for her son, and she’s forcing her family to act like they regretted it too, because that’s what a real family should have been like. But this is only a personal theory.

Connor’s dad, Larry

Connor’s dad might be one of the main sources of his depression. It is very obvious to me that Connor’s dad believed him to be a disappointment. He didn’t grieve for his dead son and only played along to make his wife happy. He’s annoyed by the whole situation. It even seemed like he hated the fact that there was fake remnants of his son in Evan. Almost like he wished Connor wasn’t friends with Evan so he could just forget all about him and not need to deal with it. At some point he was a kind father. When they went to the orchard together for picnics, it seems like they were a happy family. Connor’s dad had played with their toy plane together and had some great memories. The whole family practically forgot about this, though. Connor’s dad didn’t cry at his own dead son’s funeral. I think that sums it up.

Connor Murphy

Connor was a complicated person. He had many different mental illnesses. I could research which ones he probably had, but there’s probably already a post somewhere on it already. One thing for sure, is that he was unstable. He might not have been like that his whole life, but at the time of knowing him, the time he was briefly alive in the show, he was incredibly unstable. Everything and anything could set him off, and he probably hated that about himself as well. Pushing away everyone near him that could possibly help and hating himself for doing so, spiraling himself into a closed minded world of self-hate and regret, which is something that many people can relate to, including me. He did a lot of horrible things to his sister and to his family. I don’t blame his family for not actually grieving him, he was a really bad person. The problem is, he could have been a good person as well. He had all the potential to get better. He talked to Evan, probably wishing to say sorry about pushing him earlier in the hall. He was trying, he wanted to try. He wanted to get better. He just gave up too soon.

This post is very long! I’m sorry. If you’d like to read more, I’m putting the reasons I’ve come to these conclusions under the cut.

Remember, ALL FACTS ARE IN BOLD. Anything else is my personal interpretation.

Something I noticed about Prompto

So, after playing the game and thinking about the FF XV anime, I remembered something about Prompto.

The kid always has that green sweatband on his wrist. Like, throughout the entire episode about Prompto’s backstory, he wears it. To bed, to go jogging, in his photo everyday montage, it’s always on his wrist.

Even right before he goes to meet Noct after they’re grown up, there’s a close up of him adjusting the sweatband. He looks like he’s a little bit nervous that he’s going to talk to the Prince of Lucis, but his focus isn’t on his overall appearance, its on that sweatband.

And it wasn’t until recently that it all kind of clicked. That’s where his barcode is. The poor kid grew up having to cover it. He was hiding it his entire life because he didn’t want people to know. I thought it was just a fashion accessory because - well, it was Prompto, I didn’t question it.

But now it makes everything a little bit more sad. Imagine him having to constantly cover it up so no one would know. He had to hide it because no one in Lucis could know that he was an MT experiment. Like - this poor child. And you could tell he really didn’t want Noct to know because of the above gif and obviously throughout the entire game he didn’t tell Noct (until close to the end).

It might be old news and someone might have already made a post about it, but it was just something I had been thinking about. I just - ugh. I love Prompto so much and now I feel so bad for him.

i already know how this is going to go so i might as well make this post, i know blackhat x dr flug is gonna be like the villainous fandom It Couple bc it’s the only gay ship but please please please, think about the fact that dr flug is very visibly scared of blackhat. blackhat is very violent towards dr flug. it’s not a healthy relationship whatsoever, and speaking as someone who has been in an abusive relationship, if dr flug actually had FEELINGS for blackhat that would be even worse for him. please think before you ship this just because they’re “gay smol beans” because this ship is essentially 2doc 2.0. i could go more into this but i shouldn’t have to.

stop saying stupid things.

This isn’t a call-out post for a specific person. I’ll just call her X. Fan X made a post to complain about mean anti-reylo fans, saying how reylo shippers were being unfairly accused of racism (among other things). She cross-tagged her post with the finnrey tag. (Anyone who’s spent time in the finnrey tag has seen similar posts, yeah?) I sent X a PM, politely asking her to remove the tag. Some people had already commented on the post, asking for the tag to be removed, but it was still there, and I figured a PM might get her attention faster. I mentioned in passing that her post was off-track as well as badly tagged, and thought that would be the end of it.

Instead it evolved into a conversation where X wanted to prove that she’s a fan of Finn, and she has NEVER EVER seen anything racist said about him on her dashboard from her fellow reylo fans.

So before I dove back into the conversation, I did a keyword search on her tumblr. One of her most recent reblogs at that moment was a post that talks about how Finn is a beta male and inferior to Rey, and Rey had to save him 100 times, and so forth. (Some of y’all know the post I’m talking about. And no, I’m not exaggerating on the wording of it, that’s literally what it said… along with a bunch of light-and-dark and Romeo-and-Juliet imagery about reylo.)

X hadn’t noticed it. She missed the blatant racism and erasure of Finn as a lead in the post. She liked the pretty wording about how epic reylo is going to be, and that was enough to make the racism not ‘visible’ to her.

That’s what I think of when I see someone say that they’ve never seen anyone being racist in [insert ship or character or movie/show name here] fandom: a fan who will reblog a blatantly racist post that comes across their dashboard, and then have the ignorant bliss to say that they’ve never seen any racism in their section of fandom.
