i feel such a strong connection to this character

anonymous asked:

Opinion on Kylo Ren?

When it comes to the sequels, I don’t really have a horse in that race. I’m not emotionally involved enough to have strong feelings pro or against Kylo (or any of the new characters).

My problems with Kylo are not about Kylo himself. It’s more about the overall story TFA was trying to tell. The unoriginality/predictability of the narrative kept me from connecting with the any of the news characters. I was watching the movie thinking “I already watched this one”, instead of caring about them. Like, I wasn’t shocked by Han’s death because I saw that coming from ten miles away.

Anyway, Kylo Ren doesn’t bother me, I like Adam Driver and I think he made an good job considering the meh material he was given.

OKAY so this has been in my head all day.

Everyone remembers the famous klance bedroom scene and we saw how Lance was talking about leaving Voltron. Then we see Keith’s reaction. That’s what gets me.

Remember when Pidge said that she was leaving voltron? And remember how Keith became furious with her for even thinking of leaving?

I know that the circumstances are different since they only had five people who could control the lions at that time and character development and all that but still.

Keith showed Lance genuine concern about the idea. Not enough to stand out (especially to Lance) and convince him that he is needed on the team. But enough for Lance to still confide in him. Usually Keith is the person to get upset and think about the big picture but he didn’t this time.

With Pidge he said that she is putting her needs and feelings before everyone else’s and thinking of herself but with lance he said “…what are you talking about” and told him to stop worrying (Not the best way to comfort someone but that’s not in Keith’s character to be good with words. He’s more of an “action speaks louder than words” kind of guy).

Keith is growing as a character and is learning how to be more like a leader and we can definitely see that in season three. We can also see how Lance and Keith’s relationship (platonic or romantic) is developing which is great for the team overall.

It’s also another hint at major angst in the future. Building strong relationships in books, movies, and shows is how you make a strong connection between the characters and the audience just for the creators/authors to crush your feelings and leave them damaged.

And I am not ready.

bts personality analysis: hoseok

okay so hoseok is probably the member that im interested in the most. most people see him as his avatar - an image, a persona - which is bubbly and cheerful and hoseoks voice always fills the silence. as much as i do believe that hoseok does have these traits, i don’t think that this is necessarily the hoseok that bangtan see from day to day. he has the most intense image that strays away from his own personality and that would stress anybody out. its a pressure to always have a one-liner or to make a funny entrance and you can see it takes a toll on him. his cheerful image is constructed by bighit and i really dont like when people think that he is just being himself because it is clearly a concept made for entertainment purposes - which isn’t a bad thing because, at the end of the day, bangtan are entertainers. hoseok is immensely complex and has many different sides to him and id like to go through them.

the choreographer, the teacher. we see this side of him sometimes in dance practices. he is patient, but he is stern. he asserts himself most when it comes to dance because that is what he knows best. dance is where he finds solace so he takes it seriously. he practices until he cant any more and he is a perfectionist, you can see this in the foot work. each foot is perfectly place, each move combats the beat. its as if he has practised for hours on end - which, he does. hoseok has a strong sense of duty when it comes to dance and takes it seriously; serious is a word that juxtaposes his online persona which is why people are most surprised when they see him act like an actual human being.

the carer, the lover. hoseok has a warm, sensitive side which i think i love most. he acts as an older brother figure for the maknae line and is a friend to the hyung line. he cares for them, he teaches them, he learns from them. hoseok seeks harmony in the group and i dont think he would cope very well if there wasn’t a connection with who he was with, which is why i do believe that all of bangtan are very close. i think he also knows how to connect well with others which is why he doesn’t have trouble making friends. he knows what other people need and value, and conforms to it. i think that hoseok is also very vulnerable to conforming because he doesn’t like to be left out and he doesn’t like to lose. he may be considered a pushover to people and is easier to manipulate.

hoseok and jin are nice to watch because i think jin loves to learn and hoseok is always there to help him learn. even though hoseok is younger than jin, he is a teacher figure to jin. jin respects hoseok. hoseok and yoongi are my #1 go-to relationship in bangtan. they are the most complex members and together they just fit together so perfectly, as if there personalities were made to be mended together. yoonseok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i lvoe them. hoseok and namjoon are a really interesting pair and i love their dynamic. they would do anything to please one another and i love watching them interact. they are the same age which gives them a deeper connection. hoseok and jimin are really lovely too because jimin understand hoseok and his love for dance and i think hoseok really appreciate that. jimin knows when hoseok is tired and grumpy and knows when to stop and i think thats a really good quality in a friendship. hoseok and taehyung are strange because as much as i love their interactions, they both seem too intense for each other. both of them have such strong characters that i feel like they can only be around each other for a certain amount of time before it drives either one insane. hoseok and jungkook have a sibling relationship, jungkook really admires and respects hoseok and his dance and wants to learn from him. hoseok keeps jungkook on his toes which is exactly what that boy needs.

jung hoseok - esfp/aquarius. caring, patient, temperamental, sensitive.

Kaiba’s opening speech in his tournament in original Dark Side of Dimensions is flat out beautiful and I wanted to try and unpack what I think it means.  In one short speech, Kaiba renounces the beliefs he’d held onto and struggled with throughout the manga: that winning was everything, that war and games were equivalent and most of all that everyone is alone and meant to remain so… and then goes on to identify what has replaced them.

At the beginning of his speech Kaiba talks how the soul is trapped inside the body until death releases it.  Kaiba has looked on death as the penalty for losing.  But I think it’s possible that he also looked on death, if not as a release, then at the very least, as an escape from failure.  At both Duelists Kingdom and Alcatraz he expresses a willingness to meet death halfway.

But Kaiba is doing more than refute his past and the values he once held or the war machine he was once a part of.  In the second half of his speech, Kaiba is trying to spell out what he has learned as well, staking out his new convictions with trademark fervour.

When he comes back to the theme of freeing the soul later in the speech, I don’t think he’s talking about death.  I think he’s talking about imagination and connection.  I think he’s saying that these are the things that protect our hearts against all the artificial barriers that divide us… that forming connections, that using our imaginations and our minds are the things that nourish us instead.

Kaiba has used the power of his mind – what he refers to in his duel with Isis as the power of the human soul – to escape the orphanage and to rise to power.  But he needed to find something deeper in his struggle to renounce Gozaburo’s legacy.  At Alcatraz, he tried anger and hatred and a stubborn self reliance that rejected all connections… and it wasn’t enough.  Throughout Battle City, Kaiba questions which is stronger, the power of unity or his own brand of extreme self-reliance and isolation.  It’s clear those questions didn’t vanish in the island’s destruction.

The frames where he focuses on freedom and connection in this speech show Mokuba and Yugi’s friends, respectively.  His relationship with Mokuba freed him from falling irrevocably to Gozaburo’s brainwashing, their connection freed him from the penalty game that followed Death-T by empowering him to complete the puzzle of his heart.  Given that, it makes sense that Kaiba couples freedom and connection here and that visual shifts to Yugi’s friends.  While I’m not claiming that this means that Kaiba is now embracing them as friends, I think it does indicate what a strong example of friendship they are, possibly the first one he has seen outside of his own brotherly bond with Mokuba.  It’s an echo of this scene from the manga, where Kaiba starts to consider that the power of friendship and connection might be real, might be something to rely on.

If Kaiba was considering the question of friendship at Alcatraz, here he is giving his answer.

You find yourself stuck in a virtual reality only to fall in love with the main game character.

Series Warning: None other than fluff & eventual smut.

Your life that consisted of waking up early in the morning, getting ready for college, going to college, coming back home, having the smallest amount of time to yourself before eating dinner and going back to sleep again. At least you had some friends to go out with from time to time to distract your from the repetitive life you owned.

On the day of your 18th birthday you had received a delivery to your door with your name as the recipient. It was too early in the morning to be expecting birthday gifts but you made no ordeal about it, the more the merrier. You walked into the kitchen with the box in hand laying it on top of the grey marbled kitchen counter, heading to the fridge to drink your usual Saturday juice, at least today you didn’t have to go anywhere and enjoy the comfort of your own house.

“Good morning sweetie” your mom greeted you with a smile on her face “and happy birthdaaay!!!!!!!” before showering you with kisses and hugs.

“Oh my god Mom I’m 18 not 8! Don’t kiss me” you tried to resist her as you both giggle.

“What’s this?” your mom asked curiously as it was her turn to head to the fridge.

“I don’t know…. Did you or dad order anything for me?” you replied honestly.

“No, we didn’t order anything hunny… if you referring to your birthday gifts we went out and bought them personally” she said, “Who is it for?” she asked as she brought out a water bottle from the fridge.

“It’s for me” you said, “Maybe it’s from Hannah?” you asked as you attempted to rip out the worn-out tape that shut the box closed. When you unwrapped all the tape, the box revealed to what looked like a virtual reality headset along with a video game that had no cover, just plain black. Strange. You would think video games would always come with some fancy cover to attract gamers. Ironically, it had only made you more curious to play the game and see what it’s about.

“Is this supposed to be for your brother?” your mother laughed in confusion as she peered into the box.

“Maybe?” you said before reaching the bottom of the box in attempt to find something else to indicate what or to who this box belonged to “Oh wait, I think I found something” you pulled out a white card.

“Sorry Y/N. It was the only way” you read out the content of the card loud for your mom to hear too.

“The only way? That doesn’t bring good thoughts” your mom said as she put the headset and the video game in the box “Take it out. I don’t want it in the house” she told you sternly before going upstairs.

“But mom! I wanna know what it is”

“And curiosity killed the cat!” she yelled from the level above.

You sighed… What did they mean? Who sent this to you?

“Taehyung good timing!” You yelled excitedly to your older brother who entered the kitchen grumpily

“Why are you so loud even at early mornings” he asked bewildered at your behaviour.

“Hey! It’s my birthday” you nudged his side.

“I know… Happy birthday you loud princess” he kissed your forehead before noticing the box in front of you.

“What’s that?” he asked you curiously.

“I don’t know really… Someone sent it to me it’s a virtual reality game I think” you answered while munching at an apple.

“What game is it?” he asked while taking the content out the box.

“I don’t know but I really wanna find out”

“You can use my console its upstairs, I think you can play it with a play station” he said

“Really? Can you help me set it up” you asked.

“Only because it’s your birthday” he grinned before taking the box upstairs.

“Alright… Can you see anything?” Your brother asked you.

“Oh my god! Yes! This is amazing Taehyung!” You replied as you hold a view of a castle in your eyes, the scene in front of you was like a scene from a movie and you felt like you were it’s main character. Turning around you can see a long path connected to deep woods.

The castle was the deepest shade of black, almost too scary to look at but it captivated you. The dark walls were whirled with remnants of nature and age, crawling up the high walls. You walked to the main gate of the castle using your brother’s console remote.

“Taehyung, I-I this is amazing, it feels so real” you speak out before you were stunned by light, it was so strong that you took a step back nearly tripping over your own foot and dropping the console. Soon after you were welcomed by the same view from before, you squatted down to look for your only navigator of the game to find nothing by your feet. You lifted your hands to remove the virtual reality headset to find nothing on your head but the strands of your own hair.

What the fuck?

You were panicking for a good 10 minutes. You convinced yourself this wasn’t real, you were definitely dreaming. You looked around to inspect your surroundings, you looked up at the sky to see the dark clouds welcoming thunder before they cracked open to pour down rain. You felt it, You felt the cold, you felt the wet drops, you felt everything. How is this real? To avoid getting more wet, your only choice was to enter that castle and face whatever was behind the walls. Your instincts kicked in, and your panic heightened as you pushed that door open.

It was empty. Dark and empty.

“Hello?” you called out to the open, knowing this is well how people get killed in horror movies. There was only silence.

“Is anybody here?” you tried again.

“Fuck” you grunted knowing you will have to walk further and try to understand where you are and how you can escape. You should’ve listened to your mom and kicked that box outside your house.

“Is anybody there?!” You shouted as your tears collected in your eyes, you were all alone.

“Help! Anybody?!” You tried again.

“Is any-“ You were cut off by a hand over your mouth, instructing you to be quiet making you squirm and struggle out of his hold.

“Be quiet! You’re going to get us all caught!” you heard the man behind you whisper into your ear, his breath tickling your skin.

you know what I hate about tv shows? when they have a strong relationship between two characters of the same gender, with amazing chemistry and a deep connection but ignore and dismiss that in favour of introducing someone of the opposite sex just for a het couple that feels awkward, forced and unnecessary

like here’s an idea… you could not do that.

Maxvid 👏 is 👏 fictional 👏 calm 👏 the 👏fuck👏down

This is the worst excuse Maxvid, and any other pedophilic ship fans use, and here is exactly why.

I’m not fucking stupid. I can tell the difference between fiction and real life, I am not quite that delusional. But I think that you guys throw this around like fiction doesn’t affect real life.

It most certainly does.

Fiction impacts real life. It’s just fact. Though I certainly can understand why this excuse exists, I used to use it myself. This confusion comes from our “alief” system. The philosopher Tamar Gendler proposes that we have two cognitive systems at work when we see fiction: “belief”, where we know the fiction to be false, and “alief”, where there is an unconscious process that causes us to believe TV actors are really the characters on the screen, or to have emotional reactions to fictional characters breaking up in a book.

This is what makes Maxvid seem so painfully real, and painfully.. well.. painful.

It creates a strong connection in the minds of the viewers, and this is especially true of people who kin or ID with the characters being portrayed in this harmful ship.

I’ll give you a personal example. Myself, and my boyfriend have both been victims of CSA, that is child sexual abuse. Of corse it’s upsetting, and sometimes terrifying, for me to see clearly pedophilic content, and sometimes even pornography, on my dash (in the regular Camp Camp tags, I might add), of Maxvid. I’ve even seen a drawing that recreated my trauma almost exactly. But my boyfriend ID’s with David, meaning he feels he is him, it’s an incredibly strong and incredibly important connection. The thought, and now sight of him as a pedophile has made him cry, panic, and physically sick, especially with Max being his son in his personal canon.

So no. I will not “👏 calm 👏 the 👏fuck👏down”, my dear anon. The reality of this fiction is a dark one, and one that many Maxvid shippers prefer to sweep under the rug, and I won’t fucking let them.

Thoughts on Stranger Things Characters

AKA Why I LOVE THEM ALL

Eleven AKA El AKA Jane Hopper My personal favorite character. Can we just take a moment to appreciate all the emotional scenes! I mean she has such little dialogue but manages to make me have all the feels! Eleven is just so badass, I though her story line “finding a home” was really well written and I just love how she is a mix of terrifying and adorable. Like every time she enters a scene (especially that intro in the final episode) it feels really intense and legendary.

Lucas Sinclair Okay I really liked Lucas’ chemistry with Max! He was just so adorable with his nervousness. His character is really opinionated and I love that. His sass is on point.

Max Hargrove AKA Madmax Wow I really liked her from the beginning! I mean she’s just so feisty and has a really strong personality. I think her backstory is really well written and it really make me feel for the character. If you didn’t think she was awesome in the scene where she speaks up to her brother with the bat then you a liar, she had me shook! I vote she be a part of their crew.

Will Byers I honestly thought Noah (the actor) did a AMAZING job at being all creepy spy possessed. I felt like I got to know his character a little more since he wasn’t a huge part of season 1. I really connect with how his character struggles with being different. I also love his drawing talent its freakin awesome.

Mike Wheeler Mike just gave me all the feels, his sadness over El is heartbreaking. Finn (the actor) did a great job of showing his inner pain in all the scenes and how it was something he really struggles with. I liked how his character didn’t act like everything is okay you can see how he is still broken up about losing El.

Dustin Henderson Gosh saying you hate dustin is like saying you hate puppies. I mean he just always brings a smile to my face. His smile is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I love how sweet he is, breaking all those masculinity stereotypes that are total bullshit. When he’s at the dance in the finale and he’s crying I just want to cry. He’s just so precious and committed to his friends.

Steve Harrington Okay I gotta admit I go back and forth with Steve but I think season 2 really gave his character more depth. I love how he helps out even though he and nancy aren’t a thing anymore. And you can really see how deep down he’s a good guy at heart. Him helping dustin out was really cute.

Jonathan Byers Jonathan is amazing, I love how supportive of nancy he is, he’s just completely trusts her judgement. I also love how much he cares about his family, its something I really admire.

Nancy Wheeler Okay the main reason I like nancy is her persistence and determination, I mean the girl just runs into danger and is brave as hell.

Joyce Byers MOM OF THE YEAR I totally thought it was badass how far she would go to protect her family, you just know she would do anything for her boys.

Jim Hopper I thought season 2 did a great job of giving me more insight into who this guy is :) Him and El are really well written, I though they were a interesting dynamic. I love how much he cares about protecting the people he loved, he’s a lot like Joyce in that way.

Bob Newby Okay he was just such a cheeseball, at first I was like hmmm…He’s kinda annoying but I was so wrong he was a adorable dork and I was really sad when he died

First of all I think Stranger Things is the only show where I honestly love all the characters. Can I also just say all these actors are freakin’ phenomenal! Was it just me or were you really impressed with the emotional scenes!

Alice Angel Theory

CHAPTER 3 SPOILERS! I’ve was thinking, so Susie Campbell is replaced for the role of Alice (through recording in the Angel Path) then in a different recording, we hear that Campbell had a charming conversation with Joey Drew. And he called her “Alice” and she liked it. I have a theory based on the existing theory that Joey is turning his fellow workers into characters. Joey acknowledges Campbell as Alice Angel, and she likes it; and feels a strong connection to Alice. And she’s broken hearted when replaced. I’m thinking if Joey did turn workers into characters, he offered Campbell the chance to actually be Alice, and she accepted - despretly not wanting to be replaced. That’s my theory anyway.

cindtrillella  asked:

You don't seem to like Jonerys. Why?

A bunch of reasons. Show!wise, it’s officially come down to “These characters seriously piss me off, period.”

Book!wise?There’s two prongs to this.

The first prong is quite the opposite of why I don’t like Show!Jonerys. I LOVE the book versions of these characters.  I really, really root for both Jon and Dany, want them to succeed, and love their goals and ambitions. I want them to get what they want, and feel that is what they deserve. And I don’t think a romance between the two of them satisfies their characters, their inner hopes, dreams, goals, and ambitions. It simply will not allow them to get the endings they deserve.

Now, let me make this clear: I am not saying their motivations are utterly alien to each other. Both of them have severe identity and displacement issues. Both of them, on some level, yearn for home. But what those things mean to them as people, and the paths that may bring them… the things they want simply don’t mesh in a way that makes room for romance.

The Bold Type

Have you ever seen a commercial for a new show, and told yourself that the show totally isn’t for you? This was my first opinion The Bold Type, a new series on Freeform. A starting seeing commercials for it in the final days of Pretty Little Liars, and while I usually skip past commercials, I stopped and watched The Bold Type ones because I recognized some of the main cast from other roles. Katie Stevens seemed to be taking over the lead as Jane, a new writer in the female magazine industry. With her Aisha Dee and Meghann Fahy would be playing her friends Kat, a social media rep, and Sutton, a receptionist, respectively. My introduction to Katie Stevens was Faking It in her lead role as Karma, and Aisha Dee I knew from Chasing Life in her main role as Beth Kingston. Both of these shows were short lived and while I didn’t care about the premise of the show, I decided to at least watch the pilot because of them.

The show I found was way beyond any expectations I have ever had for a show. I was instantaneously hooked. I don’t care about female magazines, nor Instagram, nor getting the intern job for the fashion department, but within the first hour the show allowed me to engage in topics I never thought would interest me. The Bold Type to date has only aired 6 episodes, just 6, but with the emotional connection I have gotten from the characters I feel like I’ve been watching them for years, already tearing up on a weekly basis.

I really don’t want to give away what occurs in the show because the surprise and going on the journey with the characters I feel is more important than listing the reasons why you should. Mainly because Tumblr can’t handle the infinite reasons yet.  I will tell you that in its short run so far, The Bold Type has tackled issues of female sexuality, breast awareness, empowering women, questioning sexuality, race relations currently in America, strong caring bosses, going for the dream job, taking chances, and understanding the importance of friendship. 6 episodes. Also, every single character is amazing. Prior I stated that I believed Katie Stevens was the lead, but honestly both Aisha Dee and Meghann Fahy equally share the spotlight with Katie, all of their characters getting separate, but unique storylines that highlight the characters’ flaws and help them grow throughout the show. All 3 hit it out of the park with every other member of the cast giving A+ performances. This show destroys so many stereotypes per episode, I believe they will run out of them prior the end of the season.

Now some people will say watch this show because wlw representation. Some people will say do it for the feminine values and the empowerment of women. Some say for the cultural l relevance that the show has in this era of media. Others for the breakdown of stereotypes or the fresh take on magazine business or the performances. I’m not going to tell you to watch this show because of any of these things even though every single one of them is a grand reason. No, I’m going to say that as a person who still has no interest in magazines, this show touched me like most shows can’t these days. Everything about it is honest, some moments raw while others show the realism of the daily life of these women.

I urge all of you to give this show a chance, right now. This show has the power to change many lives, but we need to build this shows fan base and proves to Freeform why it is vital to renew. I don’t care if you like magazines or the New York life. Put in on in the background at first if you must. Pick a favorite at the beginning of each episode, I swear every time some other character will top them. Don’t let this amazing piece of art fall prior to letting it live a full life. I want to say some much about it right now, but most words fail me with the amount of emotion I feel when I think about this show. Make it to episode 6 and if you aren’t convinced maybe this show isn’t for you, there is no perfect fit for everybody. But give it just to 6, please give this beauty a chance to shine.

Millie please make one of those amazing posts of yours for Howon too. I love it when non-Howon biased people praise him. Also he deserves all the love but there is still prejudice towards him (thankfully it's less now compared to few years back) So let's spread Holove 💜 - infnthoya

Of course I am more than happy to make a post about our wonderful HoyaYahoHoya! Especially for you @infnthoya !

You can see the previous posts (Sunggyu/Woohyun/Sungyeol) here!

1. DANCE GOD HOYA

Okay but before I say anything else, this performance he did on Hit The Stage with the amazing (queen) Choi Hyojin still reduces me to tears because it is PERFECTION and it really showcases the fact that Hoya can dance in a different style to his usual go-to hip hop moves!

The theme for that episode was This Love and although everyone’s performances were great, Hoya and Hyojin absolutely deserved their win because this was ART and totally projected all this raw emotion and I will never get over it.

Hoya is INFINITE’s main dancer and it’s not hard to see why. Over the years it’s been amazing to see him improve and build on his skills and talents. He actually dropped out of high school to pursue dance, even though his family were against this decision. He did eventually get his high school diploma, but it took a while for his relationship with his family (and his father in particular) to be mended again.

It’s great to see that nowadays, Hoya’s name is often mentioned when people talk about the greatest dancers in k-pop. He is more than deserving of it.

2. THAT VOICE THOOOOOOUGH!

Although Hoya started out as one of INFINITE’s rapper line, he’s had vocal lines in songs for a looooong long time. However, not everyone noticed how much his voice had actually improved until INFINITE’s more recent albums. In 2015 Hoya opened up his own YouTube channel and surprised everyone by posting his first cover - Zion T’s Kiss Me. He followed this up weeks later with an English cover song, an acoustic arrangement of Ariana Grande’s Problem. Although he hasn’t been as active as we might like on the channel, it’s a goldmine that shows of how wonderfully soothing and great his voice is. My personal favourite so far is his cover of 이게아닌데 (This Ain’t It) by Taeyang. But for some nice visuals, check out my second fave (and another English cover), John Legend’s All Of Me.

Then of course, there’s the fact that he got into the composing game just like fellow member Woohyun. The song One Day on INFINITE’s 2016 album INFINITE Only was co-written by Hoya and was performed on music shows during promotions for 태풍 (The Eye). He also wrote and composed his own track 아무렇지 않은 척 (Pretending It’s Okay), which he performed on 4Things Show. This song seriously gets stuck in my head all the time and I really wish he’d upload a full version on his channel or that it might feature on an INFINITE/INFINITE H album in the future. On top of all of this, Hoya has always been involved in writing his own raps ~~

3. HO-ACTOR

One of the first things I watched that had an INFINITE member in it was Reply 1997. And in that (incredible) drama, Hoya played Kang Joonhee. And that character was an ANGEL. He played the role so well, so convincingly. I really connected with his character and Hoya was praised a lot for his role. This is my absolute favourite scene of all time. Excuse me while I go cry.

Hoya has also starred in: Reply 1994 (cameo as Joonhee), My Lovely Girl (alongside member Myungsoo), Mask and as a lead role in the movie Hiya. Currently he is in both Strong Family and Radiant Office. Despite the fact that Lee Howon is an awkward baby, his acting skills are A+++++ so pleeeeeease check out everything he has starred in so far.

4. AND EVERYTHING ELSE!

I feel like I got way too emo in this post, but genuinely I love Lee Howon so much and wish he was my best friend tbh. Here are some more things I think everyone needs to know about him:

  • His sexy, R-rated solo stages. Okay so… these speak for themselves
  • His weird jokes that only he finds funny. Honestly, prime DadJoke material.
  • Hoya’s passionate hard work. Not only does he dance and dance and dance some more, even to the point of injury (that happened because he danced too hard on an existing weak ankle to ‘impress everyone in the audience’) and well into the night, he also worked hard to speak in Seoul dialect so he could be easily understood by fans.
  • Overwhelming love and affection for his fans. Everyone always says Woohyun is the fan service king in INFINITE and while that may be true, Hoya is definitely fierce competition. Just look at how many V Live broadcasts the boy has done, his Instagram stories and frequent updates, and the song he covered as a dedication to Inspirit.
  • His relationships with the other INFINITE members, whether it’s the gag-duo of Sunggyu + Hoya (HOBAK GOGYUMA), the affectionate Dongwoo + Hoya couple (INFINITE H), awkward bros Woohyun + Hoya, brother-like love Sungjong + Hoya…. he matches so well with every member in different ways.
  • Those eyebrows, that jawline…. His visuals are no joke

And here concludes me pouring all my repressed Hoya feels into one long ass post. I really hope you all enjoy it and please love Lee Howon just a little bit more than you did before

Headcanon that Percy Jackson is asexual or demisexual.

Think about it.

He has never actually described a girl as hot or drop dead gorgeous. (Correct me if I’m wrong…) He’s always seen Annabeth/Rachel/Calypso (all potential love interests,) as beautiful, pretty, generally nice to look at, and never as hot, drop dead gorgeous, etc. I mean… a e s t h e t i c a t t r a c t i o n.

And he’s generally oblivious to other people’s feelings for him until it smacks him in the face (which happens to me, an asexual, a lot actually.)

But it could be argued that he finds Annabeth attractive, especially towards the end of the original series and the heroes of olympus. After they’ve made a strong emotional connection.

D E M I S E X U A L. I tell you.

I will fight for ace Percy.

Saiyuki Thoughts; Shared Tragedies

After the recent chapter, I had begun to reflect about how tragic the lives of our main guys are. Well, really, almost all characters have some form of tragedy in their life that has helped to mold who they are and their ambitions.

But in my thinking, I made an interesting connection between the events that Sanzo, Gojyo, and Hakkai had to endure in the current time that may be linked into the painful events of Goku’s life in heaven. I may be over thinking as usual, but I have a strong feeling that Karma may have distributed his most traumatic memories to his 3 companions as a way to punish them after they were reborn, and possibly help shoulder the weight of those memories.

This is a pretty long post, longer than I anticipated, so I’ll put it behind a read more. There shouldn’t be any major spoilers, though there is a small bit of info at the end regarding events in Saiyuki Reload Blast but it’s not thoroughly discussed.

Here’s another redesign. This time it’s Megami!

For Megami, I wanted her design to be more sophisticated, dressed professionally and to show that she’s a mature, serious school council president.

The one thing I have changed from her is her face shape. He face needs to so-what reflect her personality, so now her face is abit long and her cheekbones are more defined. Showing more maturity and sophistication.

Her hair is now black but she has a streak of silver on her bangs, she has Poliosis in which a part of her hair is lacking melanin.

As for her name, I changed it to Megumi Enoki, Megumi is written in hiragana in this case because her name can be interpreted in many different meanings (you can call this a pun name of sorts) depending on the kanji used to pronounce the name, it can mean:

- 恵:  “ blessing, grace"
- 恵美: “blessing, favour; beauty”
- 愛 (alternatively read as “Ai” but it also reads as Megumi):  “love, affection’
- 斡美: “administer, go around, rule; beauty”

Enoki might be a name of a mushroom, however, this surname also belongs to a Japanese politician, pharmacist and feminist, Misako Enoki, who was a symbol for woman’s rights in Japan during her time.

Another thing to note that, I might give her a few flaws in her personality, sure she might be strong, confident and an heiress to a big company, however, I feel like it’s better to flesh her out since she is a big character and ‘mary-sue’ won’t cut it. I feel like despite Megami being so serious, sophisticated and strong, I feel like that makes her a bit cold and distant to the other students in her school, she only talks during work related matters and she doesn’t have much time to socialise because of all the work she spends her time mostly doing. She is rather business savvy too, and there’s a possibility that she might not believe in romance as she only cares about the safety of the school and work, however that doesn’t say she would not change. Hopefully, in the future, I can try to weave in connecting stories with all the other characters. but for now, this is all I got.

Thank you~!

I believe Touka and Kaneki's development in their relationship has always come from the way they look at each other. The emotion in their gazes is too too strong. It's even clearer in the HQ version. I really like how Ishida portrays the characters' feelings through the eyes. Sometimes we don't need words, we just need actions and the windows connecting to your soul

Ishida’s a true master when it comes to drawing emotion, and Touken has a ton of it. Take their brief reunion in Ch 72 of :re.

All it takes is a glance and three words from Touka for Kaneki to start doubting his decision to die.

125 is the epitome of this as a mostly quiet chapter, but with an enormous amount of emotion indicated just through their actions and their eyes.

 Dat mutual understanding 👌

Live and die fortissimo

The thing is is that Whizzer didn’t die fortissimo - he died off-stage after a quiet bar mitvzah. And Mendel’s final’s lines weren’t fortissimo, and neither were Marvin’s final lines of “What Would I Do.” It’s so interesting because one would think that there should have been a loud ending - perhaps both to Whizzer’s life and to the musical. Whizzer’s death could have been loud because his life was loud - he and Marvin fought and loved passionately and loudly, and they did everything to the extreme. (And musicals generally end loudly - with some big fanfare).

But Whizzer’s death was quiet - obviously he became physically weaker because of the disease, but after a loud “You Gotta Die Sometime,” his death may seem a bit anticlimactic. But it’s really not - his death is quiet and subdued and hurts even more because of it. The grief is self-contained within the “teeny tiny band” but intensified because of how close the group is. Mendel’s last quiet lines and the music’s fade-out really digs in the individual grief of everyone on the stage. Without a big fanfare, without ending on a slightly happier note (which “what would I do if you had not been my friend” may gesture towards), the ending feels so real.

What I’m trying to say (maybe badly) is that Whizzer’s death doesn’t need to be fortissimo in the actual musical sense of “loud.” It’s fortissimo in how strongly it affects the characters and the audience. I’ve always thought that the line was strange because on the surface, it’s just inaccurate, but after watching the musical, it makes more sense. Yes, Whizzer’s death and the ending are quiet, but they’re both so strong in emotion. As musical endings go, I can’t think of any that have stuck with me for so long after watching/listening.

*sideyes that Da Vinci interview translation* Why pretend that Junko meant both SS and NH with her vague 'このラストをお聞きした', despite the fact that when asked directly about WHEN she heard about Naruto marrying Hinata she answered 'just before 'The Last''? And she even added that she thought Naruto would end up alone and wandering the world like Jiraiya? Here Junko simply says that she heard about this ending, and then Non-tan specifies what Kishi actually said: that SS would get together. That's it.

Mhm, you know, I was thinking the same. But I don’t know japanese and I also don’t care very much about such trivial things to point it out or comment on it. We had several trustworthy people translate this interview for us in the past, and it all pointed to the same conclusion. But I’d rather have another translator speak up if there’s any error there. Besides, I’m grateful OP delivered a more organized version of this interview.

Having that said….can we just talk about how cute this is?!

“Takeuchi: However, Sasuke is a man of few words, but he clearly conveys his own feelings. His line to Sakura in chapter 699 “See you next time… Thank you,” was a perfect proposal.
Nakamura: That’s right. He understands in the next scene that Sakura also clearly accepts his feelings.
Takeuchi: Because of that, his feelings might not have wavered no matter what kind of girls he might have met during the blank period of ten or so years.
Sugiyama: I think he has that unwavering sincerity.
Nakamura: The words spoken by Kakashi-sensei were what I understood as “This is Sakura’s love!” Sasuke gave Sakura cold words in return for her confession to him, but then, Kakashi-sensei said to Sasuke “It’s not that Sakura wants to make you hers! She just wants to save you!” I read this and thought “Kakashi-sensei gets it~” (laughs). Sakura, who had previously been in love with romance, currently wasn’t seeking reciprocation, and knew what true love was. I think that was a wonderfully depicted scene.
Sugiyama: I think the point when a distinct change was born in Sasuke’s heart may have been after his final showdown with Naruto. They each lost an arm at the end of the fight, and seeing this, Sakura gave both of them medical treatment. Even though she had nearly been killed by him many times, despite that, Sakura healed Sasuke, and furthermore, she forgave him, saying “seriously, sheesh” when he apologized for his actions up to that point saying “sorry.” There, it was not only romantic love, but he also probably felt a great love and a bond for her as a person. I think for sure that those feelings were also connected to the words “see you next time” after that. “

I love the VA’s so much. Not only because of their work, but also because they understand the characters they play better than anyone else, Kishi excluded. They know what kinda relationship SS has, how their bond works, how strong it is and that Sasuke and Sakura do not need many words to understand each other and see what the other is feeling. They’ve mentioned this in their recent interview as well.

I think a lot about whump. And I mean, about the origin of it and why I’m so deeply attached to it. And what I’ve come to realize is that all this time I thought it was the vulnerability of it that attracted me but I think its actually the strength that comes with that. I’ve always really felt for men in the sense that they’ve been tailored by everyone to be distant from their vulnerability and to never let emotions take hold, and I couldn’t imagine that. Not only that, but seeing a man hurting is almost equivalent to the satisfaction of seeing independent female characters busting asses and taking names - it’s the rebellion against whats traditionally “expected.” A man being vulnerable is a man being truly strong, because he’s pushing against everything he’s been taught. The shock and the excitement and the utter rush I feel seeing vulnerable men - I think its really just seeing humanity coming to the surface rather than the role being assigned, and that hits me hard, and forms a deep connection between me and the character.

Why?

Why cant Marvel fans and DC fans just get along!? I’m a huuuge Marvel fan! I prefer Marvel to DC…. But, guess what!? That doesn’t mean I don’t like DC too! I saw a great movie this weekend. Went to see it twice even. Wonder Woman was a fantastic movie! I freaking loved it. But I see all this hate tossed between these two fandoms that I love and it just makes me sad.

People dismissing Wonder Woman just cause it’s DC. And people dismissing the incredibly strong women of Marvel just because their characters are on tv and not the big screen. I love the shit out of Captain America, so, I can’t tell you how happy I was to see that Chris Evans, the male lead of a competing franchise, congratulate WW for the success at the box office this weekend. But then I scroll down to see a bunch of wounded Marvel fanboys all upset that he would even dare mention DC. I also saw a post about Marvel not knowing what women are. I have five words for you people, Agents of SHIELD, Jessica Jones. Watch those and try telling me marvel doesn’t have strong female role models.

Like, I get that the two franchises are in competion with each other, and there’s nothing wrong with a healthy debate over which a fan prefers, it helps to sell more comics and tickets to the movies that way. But stop slamming others fandom, everybody derives pleasure from what they choose to watch/read, everyone connects with different characters for different reasons, so stop shaming people for which characters they enjoy, cause for all anyone knows that character helped them get through something in their life, and they shouldn’t be made to feel like shit for liking said character. If you don’t like it don’t watch it, but stop slamming it. There’s already so much negativity in the world, why waste time and energy putting more out there. Instead, how about you spread the love for what you do like over the hate over what you don’t… Life is too short to waste your energy on hate…

My aunt used to write a music review coulum for a local paper back in the late 80s and early 90s and i have some of them saved, and in one, a fan asked why she “always had possitive reviews, wasnt there music she didnt like?” To which she responed “of course there is, but i have such a limited space in the paper to write, that i’d rather be promoting the good stuff, the people i want to succeed, rather than wasting the space on promotion for stuff I didnt enjoy”. And I’ve carried that message with me throughout my life. Positivity. And no, it doesn’t always work, sometimes you can’t help but get swept up in all the negative around you… but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Maybe since we don’t really have a limited space anymore, with the internet, and we can post as much as we want as often as we want, the idea is lost, that your space is limited, but that doesn’t make it any less precious. It’s yours, it represents YOU, who YOU are. So do you want people to see what you love? Or what you hate?

Anyway, that’s just my two cents, and if you’re still with me by the end of this, thanks for taking the time to read it. Oh, and I’m not just looking at you Marvel and DC fans. I’m looking at you too, Star Trek and Star Wars fans. There’s a lot scarier shit out there then whether someone likes the same shit you do. Take what you will from my crazy ass and in the mean time, try to spread some love!

I hereby call for peace between the fandoms!
