i dunno if ill be able to sleep until i write it

How about a hospital AU where Eren and Mikasa are patients together? The morbidity in me wants them to have a serious, incurable thing but it's your call.

I seem to always write New Year’s fics in hospitals lol but I really thought this would be cute as a holiday fic. I actually fell in love with this AU as I wrote it, like how precious would they be. I did have it be longer term illness but I tried not to specify too much since I don’t have too much medical knowledge and I didn’t wanna get anything incorrect. I really did enjoy this more than I thought I would so thank you for sending it!

The bottoms of Eren’s slippers scuffed at the pure white floor of the hospital. The lights were dim in the hallways since it was technically after hours but at least it was quiet tonight; no machines beeping aggressively, no nurses rushing around the halls, no one crying out. It was almost serene, well, if he knew he wasn’t walking through a hospital. In the least, maybe everyone in his ward would have a good New Year’s Eve. The nurses usually gave them sparkling cider so there was that too.

He poked his head around the corner and saw one nurse carrying fresh blankets into another room but that was it. Eren stepped out into the hallway, walking the familiar path to the next ward over. His robe swung by his legs but even though it was December he still didn’t find it that cold whereas other people would bundle up with their robe tight around them just to step out of their room. Well, when they were allowed to.

So technically, he wasn’t supposed to be out past lights out but it was New Year’s Eve. Who wanted to sit alone in a hospital room and watch the ball drop? Boring. He’d rather sleep if that was the case.

He couldn’t really remember a time he wasn’t at this hospital; though admittedly after his surgery as a baby he did pretty well up until a few years ago when he declined in health a bit but like any kid, you spent a lot of time at your parent’s work. Where other people would get caught in a second, he at least knew all the ins and the outs, as well as the nurse’s shifts which helped significantly. Being able to charm the nurses for information helped too.

“Going somewhere, Eren?”

Flat Minds - (K)ill Bill

While writing Flat Dreams, there were a lot of scenes and snippes I had in mind that never made it into the fic. A few did as interludes, but most were scrapped. I figured it might be fun to post some as I write them anyway, so here you go. Click here to read all those written so far.
I’ll use Flat World as a title for bits set before Bill got his powers and took over his dimension; Flat Minds for anything set after that.

(Also, I am open to prompts and stuff because why the hell not. So, if you’ve got any, just drop me an ask!)

A/N: so the main reason behind this is that I wanted to write Bill being sick. Ill Bill, as someone put it. That’s all. So sue me.

The first sign that something wasn’t quite right was a prickling in the back of his throat. Stanford dismissed it at first - looking for the Hide Behind was more important, icy wind and snow and all - and just remained in his hiding spot.

It was dusk, and his glasses were covered with frost, when he finally admitted defeat and retreated to his house. By then, his throat was definitely sore and he was coughing so hard something in his chest ached.

Ah well. It was nothing a hot drink wouldn’t take care of.

Steven Universe/Gravity Falls Crossover

Fun little Steven Universe/Gravity Falls Crossover idea…

Instead of Lapis being the mirror gem, its actually Bill. Sealed inside a mirror and thrown through the portal into another universe. Steven’s universe. This immediately weakens him since he draws power from what he knows. What he knows is determined by how much he can see through his peepholes. You know, any little drawing of him.

He’s weak because there are no images of him in Steven’s universe, not even on the currency. This is probably why he was thrown in the portal in the first place, Dipper or whoever figured that they’d at least throw him somewhere he would be powerless.

So he’s stuck and discovered by, I dunno, Rose or Pearl or someone and put away (they sense the danger or something, idk) until Steven gets his hands on him couple of years later. Being the charmer he is, Bill manages to get himself free with Steven’s help.

Anyway, so as soon as he’s out he pulls Steven into the mindscape with him and introduces himself. Up until that point he had been unaware that he was in a different universe so he uses too much energy isn’t able to keep Steven long and vanishes, though he tries to keep an eye on him using any little accidental images of himself that he can.

Eventually when he does realize his power has been severely cut and he’s stranded (maybe even still injured? He’d have to be in order to be defeated in Gravity Falls), Bill kinda panics.

Using as much as his power as he can, he puts Beach City to sleep. This effects everyone except the Gems because they don’t sleep and Steven because he’s half Gem. The reason? He needs people to dream of him. If they dream, they’ll write it down. Draw him. He’ll be an inspiration and eventually his image would be spread around just as it had been done in his old universe. He’ll gain power and become strong enough to return to the universe of Gravity Falls.

This is the plan, but he’s sloppy. He’s trying to do centuries of work in one night and the results could be fatal to those of Beach City.

The problem the Gems have is that they can’t see him and fight him. The only way to interact with Bill is to be asleep which the Gems simply can’t do. That leaves it up to Steven. None of the Gems want him to do this, not even Garnet.

Of course, he does it anyway. He finds Bill and is given a summary of what he’s trying to do. At one point Bill realizes that Steven himself might be a kind of battery whose energy he could take from his gem. When he tries (acting innocent as though he’s just curious about the gem) Steven’s shield blocks him. (”…Ow”) The forces Bill to realize he should stop and learn about this place instead. Steven is happy about this and insists there are a bunch of places Bill can live. He’s seen them since he’s traveled around with the Gems so much.

Bill manages to convince him to put images of him wherever he goes. (”Just so I can take a peek at the area myself, kid. You do this for me and I’ll avoid messing with this town, deal?”)

(Sorry, have only drawn Steven twice before… and that was like 2 minutes before this.)

Beach City wakes up with no ill side-effects, thankfully. The Gems don’t like the deal at all and are suspicious of Bill, whom they still haven’t seen.

And… and that’s all I’ve got so far. Maybe I should finish watching Steven Universe. Ha.

Ima go crawl in my hole now.
