Welcome To Night Vale gives me life.

i have literally no sense of time beyond a couple days, either forwards or backwards

something happened a week ago? sure, but it feels the same to me as if it was three weeks ago, or three days. something else happened? ok, but i cant tell you if it came before the other thing, or after, or even on the same day

& if something is more than a week in the future, it just doesnt exist. i cant plan for it. i cant remember any plans people tell me about it. i cant prepare for anything beyond the horizon

its never had too much of an impact on me, but im scared of whatll happen if im a suspect for a crime

‘what were you doing 8pm last friday?’ something, im sure. maybe nothing. honestly i feel like ive only existed this second. ‘you told us this sequence of events before, but now youve changed the order. are you lying?’ i mean im not trying to deceive you but theres a 90% chance that anything i tell you is a false memory. isnt there someone else you can ask? if i try to give you the story again, itll be different again

I can’t believe this just happened

Jack Did Apologize To Bitty

A lot of people seem to think that Jack didn’t apologize about his asshole behavior to Bitty in Year 1, but he did!! He apologized!! In his gruff, well meaning, Jack-ish way that Bitty nevertheless understood.

In “Goodbye for the Summer,” he apologizes to Bitty for the hit, but he’s also apologizing for “everything that happened this year”

Jack’s stuttering, he’s not really sure what to say, but he wants to say sorry. This is more than the hit that Bitty took, it’s an apology on how Jack treated him this year, and also a thank you to Bitty who not only didn’t hold it against Jack but treated him with a lot more respect than he probably deserved.

And Bitty accepts the apology! By this point, Jack hasn’t been an asshole to him for a long while and you can obviously tell that Bitty’s already got a crush. And of course Jack knows that their relationship is better than before, but he’s still taking the time to make sure that Bitty knows that Jack understands that he was wrong, and that it was an honor for Jack that Bitty voted for him in spite of all that.

This is the last comic of Bitty’s freshman year, and it’s jack apologizing for his behavior and Bitty accepting it, and the two of them turning over a new leaf. I feel that a lot of people might have missed it because they wanted Jack to say outright “I was an asshole this year, I’m sorry,” but dude’s an awkward guy and emotions are hard. In any case, they both understand what their conversation is really about. The last two panels are then about a new dynamic between Jack and Bitty, where “Eat more protein” becomes less a dismissive command from a jerk captain and more of an inside joke between the two.

tldr in the last comic from Bitty’s Year One, Jack and Bitty have a conversation wherein Jack apologizes and Bitty accepts his apology and the two of them turn a new leaf and change the dynamic of their relationship.

I know next to no one will see this post, and the few people who do see it will already be aware of this fact, but that one gif of the guy picking a leaf out of the air and biting it

yeah that one. It’s from an anime series called Macross 7, the first direct television sequel to the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross if I recall correctly. And I want everyone to know that, because that up there isn’t even the weirdest thing to happen in that show.

Just, fuckin, look at that! That’s the kind of style today’s anime just doesn’t have!

So, besides just being a fucking weird series in general, it is about a rock band called Fire Bomber that live on an intergalactic space colony and pilot transformable mecha using their instruments. Specifically, the main character, Nekki Basara, pilots his mech with an electric guitar. I’m serious.

Over the course of the story their primary goals are to a.) get signed to a record label while also retaining their artistic integrity as musicians and b.)  defend their colony from an invading species of mecha piloting alien space vampires using the power of ROCK! And I mean that literally btw. Basara is a pacifist, like an actual pacifist, he hates fighting and killing needlessly and will not do so unless there is literally no other options available and even then will do everything he can to avoid it. (So, like, Kira Yamato if he wasn’t a total bitch. And played guitar.) And their music is the only thing that hurts the space vampires without killing them(I think, kinda going by memory right now).

So, yeah. Macross 7 is a very good show and I highly recommend that everyone watches it.

“i cant imagine how that feels” is my favourite stock phrase because while it does validate the recipient it is also just a statement of fact

a birthday message from wonwoo to @seveanteen   ♬ ♫ ♪ ♡

you don’t learn to love her. because learning to love her is like turning her into a routine you get used to, like you’ve been trying and you’ve just now seen parts of her you’ve never noticed before or maybe didn’t pay attention to. like the bad habit you’ve picked up and only just now become aware of the burning cigarette between your fingers, the money you’ve lost, the need for a fix, the jagged edges of your nails. no, it doesn’t work that way.

so, let me tell you what she’s like.

she’s always. not just coming to. not just on her way. you love her by means of night and day. she’s constant. you trace forever on her skin when she sleeps, the expanse giving you a universe that waits for you in it, just under your fingertips, and you want to explore the things that have inherently existed there. beautiful things, you’re sure. and so you don’t teach yourself to look for all the ways you can love her because you just do, like things that begin and end only to begin again— always the sunset, always the sunrise.
