i don't think she smiled once the entire first season of this show

I believe Spencer’s twin is coming.

In this post I want to give a list of reasons why Twincer is my prime suspect as AD. I know a lot of these ‘clues’ come from interviews, but they’re still really convincing for me at least. I’ve definitely missed some of the clues from within the show because they’re not as easy to spot - we need to know for sure if Twincer is happening, then we can dig further. (The fun won’t instantly stop once the finale airs.) But for now, enjoy these, and at the end, I give my theory as to the motive.

Please note: none of this is overly new. This is just the summation of everything we’ve been talking about on my blog for the past couple months. I wanted to put all the ideas into one post, rather than 31529 mini posts scattered here and there. I will be updating this as we find more.

  1. The famous airport scene from 715.
We all already think it’s weird that "Spencer" asked Ezra to not tell anyone he saw her there with Wren. What’s weirder, is the fact that Wren and “Spencer” were arguing. Amongst muffle, I heard Spencer say "stop calling me that" (let me know if you heard differently). Did Wren have a slip-of-the-tongue moment and call her Spencer rather than the twin’s real name?
  2. Dr. Cochran’s story is very telling.
We all already know the ambiguous implication that Mary had more than two babies, because Dr. Cochran said he dealt with “two of Mary’s babies”. What’s more interesting is the second baby he dealt with. The first baby (Charlotte) he gave to Jessica. He said that the second baby that he delivered was placed in family county services. This could not have been Spencer, since Spencer was delivered to Veronica within 5 minutes of birth. So, who was that second baby that was placed in family services? I believe it was Spencer’s twin. Why? Dr Cochran referred to that second baby as “underweight but tenacious” - lo and behold, the next episode, Toby calls Spencer tenacious. This was the writers foreshadowing the similarities between this second baby, and Spencer. Twins.
  3. We all know Hanna’s ‘dream’ in 701.
It makes no sense that Hanna was able to dream ‘Spencer’ saying the name A.D. since Hanna was kidnapped before these initials were even revealed. Perhaps Hanna was visited by Twincer; the one holding her captive.
  4. A.D. needs to stand for something.
Spencer’s twin could literally have the initials A.D., since we know she would be Mary Drake’s child. Her first name would start with A and the D would stand for Drake.
  5. Brendan and Ian both confessed to being confused by the identity of A.D.
They needed the backstory to understand it. Is that because they had no idea who has the name “Alex Drake” (for example) ?
  6. Tyler said before 7B aired that “you’ve never met AD. You kind of have. You’ll know what I mean”.
This can be interpreted in two ways: you’ve never met Twincer but since you know Spencer, you kind of know who AD is. Or. You’ve seen Twincer over the years, but thought it was Spencer. Either way, Tyler’s comment screams twin-theory to me. This could apply to any twin theory, but in this context, I’m using it for Spencer.
  7. Ian said (0:57) that “fans will be satisfied to a point. Right when it seems it’s gonna be really great, it might do a little [downwards hand motion]”….
That cheeky smile on Ian’s face when he said “it seems it’s gonna be really great”… what could be greater than a liar being AD? Ian could be referring to the fact that they initially show us Troian under the hoodie, making us think Spencer is AD. Then, after commercial break, they will reveal it’s just her twin, hence the “it might do a little [downwards hand motion]”. We will be satisfied to a point, he said. It’ll start off amazing by thinking it’s Spencer, oh wait, it’s another twin.
  8. Ashley said (0:14) that she didn’t even know the A.D. reveal is possible.
Because she did not expect a second pair of twins to come along?
  9. “It’s like there are two of you living in this house. You, and you’re evil twin, and we’re not sure who’s coming down to breakfast".
said Veronica to Spencer in 423. Foreshadowing at it’s finest.
  10. Spencer doesn’t remember this flashback.
Was it her twin? And oh how coincidental, that the writers tell us a time Spencer doesn’t remember, in the same scene Veronica makes the above comment about Spencer’s “evil twin”.
  11. “Where are they?”
said Mary as she entered the Hastings house (flashback from 717). Who is they? The twins? She proceeded to say that Spencer is the only good thing she’s ever made. Maybe Mary knows Spencer’s twin is evil, and is neglecting her.
  12. “You look very much like your sister. Almost like twins”.
said Mary to Spencer in 701. The writers wanted us to think that Mary was talking about Spencer and Melissa, since Mary was holding a picture of the half-sisters. But, were the writers, and therefore Mary, hinting towards Twincer? Is Mary being blackmailed/forced (by Peter?) to keep quiet on Twincer, and she had a slip-of-the-tongue moment here?
  13. Marlene is very aware of the Twincer theories.
Back in 2014 she said that Troian sent her an online fan theory regarding Spencer having a twin who is A. Marlene was blown away by it and she thought it was a very well thought out plan with detailed evidence across the series. Watch from 1:35. Whilst you may be saying “there’s NO WAY Marlene spoilt her own show’s ending in an interview!!” - I feel like she had no idea the show would go on for 7 seasons, and once they got renewed, she panicked. “Shit, we need a new Uber A. Let’s go with that brilliant fan theory Troian sent me”. She probably regrets making this interview now. You can tell her passion for Twincer in this interview. She talks so damn highly of it.
  14. Marlene has said that the person who plays A.D. had known for a while.
We know that Marlene told Troian the entire ending of the show years in advance. “Just like I had story time with Marlene, you all now get story time with Pretty Little Liars” said Troian.
  15. The girl in the coffin in the opening has the exact same black puffy shirt as Spencer.
  16. Why does it seem that A.D. is always going after the Hastings?
Why shoot Spencer, out of all the liars? Why demand Aria to plant the audio device in the Hastings? Why not ruin the Marin household? The jealous twin wants her ungrateful sister dead, hence the shooting, and the jealous daughter is angry she never got adopted. Too much of the story is Hastings-oriented.
  17. “They’re all some pretty. Good. Theories.”
Was Janel’s response to being asked about the Spencer-twin theories. (22:20)
  18. And, I’ll just leave this here. Good one @prettylittlesessions !
  19. “Spencer’s” weird comments in 718.
In 718 “Spencer” says to Toby “you know what its like to be the outsider. Removed from friends and family”. What made her say this? Nothing was said or done in 718 to prompt our Spencer to say this.
  20. Keegan said there are no more Spoby kisses in 7B.
“I can honestly say that there is not another Spoby kiss.” Yet - there was one in 718. Either Keegan lied, or that was Spencer’s twin. (10:15)
  21. “It’s somebody you have seen.”
says Marlene in regards to who AD is. Was she talking about the Spoby kiss in 710, which Twincer referred to in 718 when she kissed Toby again? Marlene was very careful to avoid saying “it’s someone you KNOW”. We don't “know” Twincer. But, we have seen her.
  22. “That’s not the Spencer I know”
said Toby in 718. Writers are foreshadowing.

Setting all this aside, I want to add my theory on the backstory and motive:

  • Twincer, who’s name is A_____ Drake, was born in Radley, as Dr. Cochran told us in 7A.
  • Twincer was raised in Radley - not because she needed to be at a psychological hospital, but as a form of daycare, because Mary was deemed an unfit mother, and also she kept Twincer a secret from Peter… he already hated her (to the point of planning her murder, later on) enough for having one baby together, imagine Peter’s reaction to having twins.
  • There, Twincer met and bonded with her sister Charlotte. Charlotte became Twincer’s only friend. (Twincer might even be Bethany, since we already know of this bond between Bethany and Charlotte, and how Bethany was drawing Charles being taken away by a monster. But for this theory, let’s just forget Bethany for a second.)
  • When Mona came to Radley and started telling Charlotte about everything she did to her sister, Charlotte and Twincer wanted to play. They wanted a turn at harassing Spencer and her friends.
  • For Charlotte, as we know, it was the feeling of finally succeeding at something in life that made the game her drug. For Twincer, it was something far darker.
  • Harassing Aria, Hanna, Emily and Alison is all about driving a wedge between the girls. Twincer wants to break up the girls. Turn them against each other. Hopefully by throwing fire at the girls, they will break up, ultimately, to ruin Spencer’s life. Again, jealousy. Twincer’s plan is backfiring because it’s exactly A’s threats that makes Spencer say “we need each other more than ever” and “always stick together”. The writers keep making the point of SPENCER being the one to make the comments about “always” sticking together. Twincer cannot break Spencer and her bitches. This is fueling Twincer’s anger. Nothing is working.
  • That’s why AD/Twincer recently shot Spencer. “If I can’t break the girls up to ruin Spencer’s life, why not just become Spencer?” Twincer shot Spencer in an attempt to assume her identity and squeeze her way into the loving friendship group that she could never crack. “These girls are so loyal to each other… they don’t even break up after even my threats. Damn, I want to be a part of this. It’s my turn to live a happy life. You had your turn Spencer.”
  • Note: I do not believe that AD has been operating since season 1. Mona’s time as A is completely independent from Charlotte and Twincer’s story. Mona started the game, and now someone is ending it, and she wants to know who. Charlotte and Twincer are their own duo; their own A-team, which stemmed as a result of Mona coming to Radley. Charlotte revealed herself - next up in the A team is Twincer, who is carrying on the game she once played with her sister.
Wynonna Earp 2X09 Thoughts and Faves

This week on Wynonna Earp, everything was super fine, there were no creepy dolls or paintings from right out of my nightmares, and all the girlfriends in Purgatory recognized what an amazing, special thing they have together, laying to rest their current conflict before anyone could do anything impulsive and ill-advised…J/K, this week was feelings hell.

Hey there, Rani! FitzSimmons + 35) things you said that made me feel real

Hi, Jane!! How’ve you been? Just super intimidated to write something for you, but here ya go haha. Set towards the end of season 2, but no Maveth or “maybe there is.”

“You’re not here,” he whispers to himself and then shuts his eyes, knowing when he opens them she’ll be gone. This has never happened before—he’d never allowed it to happen before. Mostly because it seems disrespectful to her, to force her into a relationship she’s never wanted, even if it all exists within his imagination. But partly because he knew crossing this line would turn her from a supportive crutch into a weighted stone around his neck.

Imagining her eyes shining with affection and longing and…love? Love. Imagining the feel of her in his arms, in his bed. All it will do, in the end, is drag his body back down to the ocean floor where his soul has dwelled for a lifetime.

“What?” she asks, voice tight and small, and his eyes flicker open to find her still here, sheet tucked around her, makeup smeared, hair mussed beyond recognition. He’s never seen her like this before and she’s beautiful.

“I-I uh…nothing,” he says, turning away from her because staring at her too long is like staring into the sun.

So, does this mean he is living in a universe in which Jemma Simmons barged her way into his room, told him “enough, Fitz,” and then kissed the words right out of his mouth?

And if that’s all true, how is it possible that she’s still here, drawing on his body heat? Why didn’t she escape in the middle of the night when she had the chance?

“Fitz,” she says softly and rests a hand on his chest, right over his thudding heart. He should be embarrassed. He is embarrassed, but it’s far enough down on his list of emotions that it barely registers.

“Are you okay?” she asks, when he doesn’t respond. Tears catch at the corners of his eyes and now he’s properly mortified. He can’t answer her. What could he possibly say? He’s not brain damaged enough to believe this is anything but physical comfort for Jemma, still reeling from betrayals and deaths and her own trauma.

And it’s not that he minds, truly. He’d given her his last, most important breath—what is one night of making her body thrum with pleasure? But why couldn’t she have just left? Why did she have to stay and program his brain to think waking up next to her was normal?

She loves him, in a way, but this, the hands and the mouths and the aching of a want finally sated, this is not real. She’s not real. Maybe, after everything, he’s not either.

“Oh, Fitz, I’m so sorry,” she sighs, and her breath warms the side of his neck in a way that makes his whole world shatter.

“It’s okay,” he says, and he thinks these might be the first words he ever spoke, as if his sole reason for existing is to reassure her. “It’s okay, I underst-I uh, I get it.”

“No,” she says sadly, “I don’t think you do.”

She leans her head against his shoulder, burrowing into his side. He can feel her cool skin against his and his entire body tenses. So that part, at least, hadn’t been a desperate fiction. There’s no way his brain could conjure up precisely how she feels fitted against him with no barriers remaining.

“I’m sorry for…springing this all on you. I’m just so tired of wasting time. And I’m not…so great with expressing myself either, you know. I thought I could just show you.”

Her echo of his own words causes something to catch in his lungs and he struggles to remember that this time he has all the oxygen he needs.

Jemma slides her hand down from his heart until she can grasp his hand, and she holds on tight. “Talk to me. Please.”

“I can’t do this,” he says, finally turning to look at her. This act might be the most courageous he’s ever been. “I can’t pretend that…I mean, I’m happy to make you feel better. I’m happy that we’re friends again. But I can’t pretend that this is just…” He tries to pull his hand away, but she’s strong and won’t let him.

“Just what, Fitz?” and she’s looking at him like she truly doesn’t know and he can’t understand it.

“I’m in love with you,” he finally chokes, the words falling from his mouth like bullets and he hates that because his love for Jemma is not a warzone. Despite the hurt that clawed at his limbs when she returned, despite the lies between them, his love for her has only ever been a carefully tended, wildly overgrown garden. He loves all of it—the wildflowers sprouting up where no one has planted them, the crisp apples and inexplicable tropical fruits, sweet mango juice trailing down his chin, the weeds that refuse to be killed, the roses he yearns to touch without cutting himself to pieces.

He wishes he could show her.

After Maisie's interview with Zap2it regarding Arya in season 4, I have a horrible feeling that D&D don't understand that character or her motivations. I worry that they're in the group who view her as a "sociopathic killer" and that's how they've written her. I have a feeling her Braavos arc (when she reaches it) will be nothing like the book. Arya giving up on her family?! Just no! Given that they are Sansa fans, a part of me wonders if this is done to undermined Arya.

Maisie Williams’ interview was the most absurdly wrong thing. Maisie doesn’t understand Arya at all. The things she says directly contradicts with Arya at this time (and later/earlier) in the books. Like she’s not trying to reconnect with Jon? What a joke!

“I know where we could go,” Arya said. She still had one brother left. Jon will want me, even if no one else does. He’ll call me “little sister” and muss my hair. It was a long way, though, and she didn’t think she could get there by herself. She hadn’t even been able to reach Riverrun. “We could go to the Wall.”

Sandor’s laugh was half a growl. “The little wolf bitch wants to join the Night’s Watch, does she?”

“My brother’s on the Wall,” she said stubbornly. Arya post-RW, ASoS

“I want to go north, to the Wall. Here, I can pay.” She gave him the purse. “The Night’s Watch has a castle on the sea.”

“Eastwatch.” The captain spilled out the silver onto his palm and frowned. “Is this all you have?”

It is not enough, Arya knew without being told. She could see it on his face. “I wouldn’t need a cabin or anything,” she said. “I could sleep down in the hold, or… I could work,” said Arya. “I could scrub the decks. I scrubbed a castle steps once. Or I could row…”

“No,” he said, “you couldn’t.” He gave her back her coins. “It would make no difference if you could, child. The north has nothing for us. Ice and war and pirates. We saw a dozen pirate ships making north as we rounded Crackclaw Point, and I have no wish to meet them again. From here we bend our oars for home, and I suggest you do the same.”

I have no home, Arya thought. I have no pack. And now I don’t even have a horse. ASoS

Jon Snow on the Wall. That was where she had wanted to go. She told the captain as much, but even the iron coin did not sway him. Arya never seemed to find the places she set out to reach.  AFFC

When Dareon had first appeared at the Happy Port, Arya had almost asked if he would take her with him back to Eastwatch, until she heard him telling Bethany that he was never going back. AFFC

She even questioned Sam about whether he was going back to the Wall. Arya’s been trying to reunite with Jon forever like what a joke that she’s given up on her family. Arya’s supposed to be the opposite of emotionless and cold anyway.

And who cares if Maisie thinks that Arya’s “not meant to be your favorite character”, she’s dead wrong. You know why I’m so certain? Because GRRM very clearly wants you rooting for her, he very clearly loves her, makes her sympathetic, makes her heroic even when she’s dark- saving Sam in AFFC, trying to support and help out the women of the Happy Port and other Braavos, wanting justice for the poor slaves of Old Valyria and the abused ugly girl, ect. She isn’t fueled by “evil” but by enacting a form of justice in an unjust world- something that is hammered into the readers’ heads over and over as we read the books.

GRRM loves Arya. She’s his favorite female character, second favorite character after Tyrion of all of his characters he’s ever written. He talks of writing an entire book devoted to her experiences in Braavos because it’s part of her coming of age story. He shoots down anyone who suggests she’s bad or an assassin actually.

So when you had first introduced Arya, you knew she was going to become an assassin?

Well she’s not an assassin yet. You are assuming she is going to become one. She’s an apprentice. Source

We’re meant to be rooting for Arya, trust me. There’s a huge difference between blindly agreeing with everything a character does and understanding their actions so completely that you support them and want them to be happy.

Yeah, D&D don’t understand Arya’s character at all. But we knew that from the get go though when they decided to rewrite her from episode one so instead of being a girl with low self-esteem who feels she can never live up to her family (her mother’s) expectations and lives in the shadow of her perfect sister to a girl who shoots perfect archery (to the smiles and amusement of her family, talk about unrealistic,) looks down on women, and is very sure of herself and her place as a highborn.

So everyone should have known from day 1 that tv!Arya is very different from book!Arya. And don’t even get me started on the absurdly out of character Frey killing moment from the last episode of last season.

People really have to accept that GRRM’s quote that the Game of Thrones is the “David and Dan show” is the truth. The characters are not the same, the plots aren’t the same, the show has taken some serious divergences. And that goes 100X for the actors and actresses who paid a fraction of attention to the books (assuming they’ve even read them fully) than the fans do. Their scripts are what they go by, Maisie is entirely basing her sixteen year old opinion on D&D’s changed opinions and what she’s given, so yeah her opinion means nothing in terms of the book and character to be honest.

As for D&D being Sansa fans, that’s debatable. All I’m sure of is that they don’t like Stannis and love Tyrion (though that doesn’t mean either character gets a faithful portrayal to the books mind you.) I think they also love Dany, too, considering they gave her Arya’s Stoney Sept water to dying men scene.

And D&D have made some serious changes to Sansa’s character. I always get irritated because they seem to have gone into the show with the idea that people wouldn’t like her if they didn’t take out her more controversial actions or something. Let Sansa be the one to run to Cersei? Oh, no, we must have her running from them because she’s a Stark and a protagonist and she can’t be an eleven year old who messes up by trusting the wrong person. Have Sansa make a pointless albeit very important and telling for her mindset choice to not kneel at her forced wedding? No way! People might take the idea that this poor kid being in such a crappy situation rebelling in any way to mean that she’s horrible and cruel! Characters should be controversial and mess up otherwise they aren’t believable but whatever. Not trusting people to like Sansa when she messes up big time or does something of her own violation means to me that D&D don’t fully appreciate her character but that’s just my opinion.

Not understanding characters, or not really caring to preserve the characterization fully from the books, is more D&D’s problem rather than favoritism or dislike when it comes to the majority of the characters (like Sansa and Arya) in my mind.

I wrote a bit about what I think will become of Arya’s training in Braavos here. We have to wait and see. Just because Maisie says some crazy things doesn’t mean that’s actually what’s being shown, too. Maisie very clearly misses Arya’s characterization, so I would expect her thoughts on what she filmed to be not completely correct.

The point is that what Maisie thinks means nothing. She’s wrong. Many actors hate on or misunderstand their characters, especially when they’re adaptions with source material that the actor doesn’t know much about. This shouldn’t be surprising really.

Maisie’s opinion means nothing, GRRM’s opinion means everything. GRRM has been very clear on his characterization/thoughts of Arya, which are nothing like what Maisie is describing, so no worries.

Hi! I love your headcanons so much! If you don't mind I wanted to know what you think each of the 12 Chosen Children would be like at a Christmas party (alcohol may or may not be included)?

I’m glad they amuse you :D hmm a Christmas party…

Taichi: Shows up late and already a bit buzzed because he’s already made the rounds to five other Christmas shindigs hosted by school friends, soccer mates, and relatives. First order of business is to compliment Yamato’s ass. He’s not sure why. Brings over his mother’s Christmas bundt cake that she makes every year and that he smuggles out to pawn on some poor unsuspecting soul so that his mom’ll be forced to get a store-bought, non-toxic cake. Somehow eventually ends up on the roof looking for hoofprints. Multiple times. No thanks to the spiked eggnog.

Yamato: Cooks most of the food. His whisk doubles as a cudgel whenever Taichi or Daisuke try to sneak a taste of things before they’re ready. Otherwise he’s pretty mellow, tsundere on ultra low, and can even be persuaded to strum some Christmas carols on his guitar. Rescues Taichi off the roof three times, losing his keys in the rain gutter. Doesn’t care until the next day. Secretly likes the twinkling lights and sentimentalism. Still kind of wants to kill Mimi and Daisuke.

Sora: Makes sure that the mess is kept to a minimum and that everyone’s eating something along with their eggnog and that they never run out of things like water and cookies and common sense. That is, until she winds up under the mistletoe with Yamato, after which she’s so embarrased that she locks herself in the bathroom while Taichi and Yamato beg her to come out (“What are you so upset for! It was a great kiss! Like something right out an adult film!” “HEY TAICHI NEXT TIME YOU’RE ON THE ROOF TRY JUMPING OFF. YOU’LL FLY JUST LIKE RUDOLPH”)

Koushirou: Determined to do the whole Christmas party thing right. Politely festive in the beginning, wishes everyone seasons greetings, does not protest the santa hat Mimi plants on his head, dutifully builds a snowman with Mimi and Miyako until they kick him out of the club for refusing to give it a name. Claims he never had a sip of eggnog. Still ends up squatting in the dark in only his underpants, eating whipped cream straight from the can and making fake OKCupid profiles.

Mimi: Leads the room in Christmassy karaoke. Accidentally sits on Jou after he passes out on the couch. Sits on Taichi on purpose to keep him from going back on the roof. Confesses to being in love with at least six of the others at separate intervals. Tells Jou she wants to lick whipped cream off his glasses. (He was already unconscious.) The one who spiked the eggnog.

Jou: Spends the first half of the party desperately dodging the mistletoe which somehow keeps appearing above his head (must be the nargles) and the second half passed out from accidentally drinking spiked eggnog. So long and lanky he takes up the entire couch. Actually, everyone sits on him at some point.

Takeru: Everyone gives him hats for presents. Wears all of them at once, Hikari has to sit on Ken’s shoulders to fit them all in one photo. Smiles and charms everyone but is constantly interrupted by phone calls from classmates asking why he’s not at their party. The one who spiked the eggnog a second time.

Hikari: In charge of cataloguing and takes endless photos, methodically uploading them to the Internet and cackling as she thinks about the de-tagging frenzy to occur the next day. Catches Takeru re-spiking the eggnog, informs him he’s got a special seat in hell, Takeru tells her it’s revenge for all the hats. They make out, but have to stop because the snowman is eyeing them judgmentally.

Daisuke: Super wired the whole evening. Eats all the candy canes on the tree so that no one remembers they were ever there. Probably still believes in Santa. Tries to catch Hikari under the mistletoe, catches Taichi instead, becomes Sexually Confused. (It’s a critical hit!) Six glasses of eggnog later, he decides to construct a two foot tall gingerbread tower, cries at its inevitable collapse, gets sent to bed for being drunk enough to cry.

Miyako: Also very wired. Voice gets louder and louder as the night wears on. Asks Jou to set her up with one of his brothers. Asks Takeru and Hikari to set her up with one of their brothers. Asks Sora how she learn to kiss so hot. Wanders outself with the mistletoe and dangles it forlornly over the snowman and declares he’s just as good as a real man, for a man’s love is cold and unfeeling.

Iori: Besides Takeru, gives everyone socks. Spends the night in a futile effort to convince Daisuke that Santa is not real. Gets nicknamed Scrooge, pouts. Practices kendo on the snowman.

Ken: Successfully constructs a two foot tall gingerbread tower, complete with flying buttresses. Receives the appropriate accolades. The only one (besides Iori) who’s not hungover in the morning. Feels kind of left out about that.

The Bitter Bitch Chronicles pt. 2

A continuation of some meta on Klaus and Hayley in episode 14
Warning: lots of shipper trashiness and fangirl delusions ahead so proceed with caution lol

If you haven’t read part one of this meta you should. I’m sorry this took me so long to publish and that it’s so long. It’s kinda kelijah and a klayley meta rolled into one so that’s why I talk so much. I’ll shut up now and get to the good stuff lol

Now before I get to Klaus and the wedding we need to talk about Hayley because Hayley’s feelings go in the exact opposite direction of Klaus’s feelings. In the beginning Hayley is frazzled and overwhelmed but after klaus calms her she starts to relax and start her wedding preparations. She’s not running around super excited because she’s getting married but it’s obvious everything that had her upset before isn’t on her mind anymore and when she see’s hope she’s perfect. Hayley also says something really interesting to Rebekah before this. When rebekah gives her the wedding dress she tells her that she might be marrying Jackson Kenner but she will always be a mikaelson and Hayley’s response is that would be such a compliment if that didn’t link her to so many homicidal maniacs. Hayley brushes it off as a joke to rebekah but she wasn’t joking. I think Hayley sees her self as a mikaelson,as part of the family, or she did see herself as one .She told Lenore how she kinda was a mikaelson when asked why she was involved in this mess so she def felt that connection to them earlier in the season, and I think she is grateful for how rebekah and elijah and klaus have embraced her as family but this family is as dysfunctional as one can get and it’s been the source of most of her recent hurt. We finally saw her express her resentment for klaus in their argument in episode 12. Hope will always be a mikaelson by blood, the daughter of Klaus mikaelson, she can’t escape that  but Hayley isn’t, she can escape it, at least in her head she believes she can even though the truth that she just might not want to admit is she will always be Hope mikaelson’s mother, klaus’s mikaelson’s baby mama and there is no escaping that really, not in the world she lives in and with the type of relationship with Klaus she has. I don’t think she dislikes that fact that klaus is her daughter’s father, but there is no denying that Klaus and his family bring danger to her and her daughter, danger that she is clearly tired of.

I think this is the first hint that Hayley is starting to pull away from Klaus and the mikaelsons, that she maybe wants to pull away from this dysfunction. She is starting to have visions of a more stable family, and less dysfunctional family, a family she thinks she belongs to by birth and is where she truly belongs…a family with Jackson and those werewolves, the family she originally wanted to be a part of and the entire reason she is even where she is right no.This family with those wolves is what she’s longed for her entire life and why she’s made all the decisions she’s made.  It’s almost naive of her to think she has a shot at this, because she really can’t escape klaus and deep down I don’t think she truly wants to escape him. I mean those wolves haven’t exactly been the greatest family to her either and there is no guarantee she will get all the things she wants  but I could totally see why she would think she could have this or want to have it temporarily. Like she told Klaus he’s the threat, it’s his family that’s the biggest threat to her child and herself and someone like hayley will always be about self preservation, it’s all she knows, she’s had to live that way for so long it’s programmed into her so when she sees a way to do just that, she’s gonna jump on it, like she told elijah in season 1 if she sees something she wants she take it, which is why her comments to elijah about wanting to be happy make complete sense from the POV of Hayley. She wanted happiness above all, she wanted stability and elijah couldn’t give her that but Jackson can and his feelings and even her feelings aren’t going to stop her from going after what she wants. So Hayley believes she has a shot at this happy like with Jackson and the wolves and she’s taking it and hoping this can give her what she things the Mikaelson’s can’t. It’s a nice set up for Hayley pulling away from Klaus and his family but I suspect that she won’t get very far and that before it’s all said and done she’s gonna have to make a choice about where her family loyalty really resides.

That takes us to the wedding. The beautiful wedding that ruined me because I was all in my jayley feelings before hand then they decided to just sucker punch me with klayley feelings, that shit was rude okay so so rude. I mean gahhhhhhh it did so much to my feelings. The symbolism alone is enough to send me driving off the edge of a cliff. Bravo to the director of this episode because he really nailed it, ESP this wedding scene. First there is the shot of the giant M right by Hayley’s head as she stands alone waiting for Jackson. It stands out like a ghost, just lurking behind her haunting her just like Klaus does metaphorically, then as Hayley and Jackson walk hand in hand down the aisle and begin to pull apart the camera pans to Klaus who’s standing above them, he stands out even more than the large M, he’s perched above just watching them, his presence there is so dominant, it’s almost antagonistic, it’s powerful. He has his arms outstretched like he’s the king of the castle and he’s lording over the whole wedding and over them and I can’t help but feel like this whole thing was symbolic of the coming dynamic between him, hayley, and Jackson. Hayley wants to cling to Jackson she thinks she can have something with him, she thinks she can pull away from klaus and the mikaelsons a little bit, but Klaus is always there, he’s always gonna be there, he’s a ghost that will always haunt her in more ways than one, his presence will always be felt, it can’t help but stick out for her no matter what. Not just because of the child they share but for a whole lot of reasons, some she’s already aware of and she she isn’t.  He will be there, he’s unmovable and will always play this dominant role in her life that she can’t truly escape and I suspect she will realize she doesn’t want to escape and it will come in between her and her Jackson.

If you watch Klaus during this really cool shot he has a smile on his face while he’s standing up there. He’s not frowning, he doesn’t look bitter, he looks pleased. It took me a few rewinds to be able to tell that he’s smiling but he actually is smiling while he looks down and Jackson and Hayley. His little brooding session and his poking at elijah worked because he’s back to his normal feelings. He’s coped for the time being and now he’s back to being the Klaus he was earlier, the klaus that’s here for this wedding, the klaus that’s eagerly anticipating his rise to power that is soon to come. It’s also my head canon that he smiles because Hayley looked beautiful in her dress and this was his only chance to show his pleasure with he beauty on her wedding day because she couldn’t see him and neither could anyone else, this is my story and no one can take it away from me hahaha anyways…

jail break

Shepard never expected guests anymore. She figured if her life were at all normal, she would have family that would come check on her, or a sane group of friends that could come make sure she wasn’t trying to break imaginary women stuck in putrid colored wallpaper. But no. She was Commander Shepard. Nothing was normal, and there were hardly visitors.

Aside from Hackett coming by a couple of times to tell her how screwed they were for when the Reapers did arrive, and Anderson offering some fatherly support, it was just her, and James, and a tiny little room overlooking Vancouver.

“Shepard,” James said, the doors popping open. “Change into something better for warmer weather and meet me downstairs. You’re getting out of here for a bit.”

Hey!!! I love all your stuff and I wanted to know when do you think (with pictures or season episode) Rick actually fell in "love" with Michonne and vice versa? Do you think that they should have a quick wedding and a baby (so Michonne can feel that again and know the child will be protected by Rick)? Also, I really want Rick and Michonne together in the comics or for her to get married and have a child with someone of a different race? How do you feel about it?

Oh man. To be honest, I don’t know if I can pinpoint a moment, because it’s been this beautiful slow burn of all their time put together. And for Rick, at least, it almost feels like maybe the realization came before what happened in 6x10. The way he smiles at her so confidently, it’s like he was thinking to himself, “Yeah, this is it,” instead of, “Holy shit, I’m in love with her.“ So I wonder if the epiphany came to him at some point during that time jump.

There are a couple of times where I think he was feeling it on a subconscious level. Particularly, this smile in 4x15.

Seeing how good she is with Carl really seemed to move him, and you can tell that there’s light in this family; they’re happy, even without Judith, and it’s because of Michonne. And I really think if Terminus had been an actual sanctuary, they would’ve just gotten together there. But his head space after The Claimers and The Hunters just wasn’t there anymore.

I got the same feeling a couple more times after they arrived at Alexandria - specifically, here in 5x16.

Honestly, I don’t know how Danai got through this scene, because if Andy had been standing there looking at me like that, I probably would’ve fallen through the window. His stare is so intense, to the point where even he seems to realize it. The way he looks away, as if he’s afraid he’ll get lost in her. And this is after she’s knocked him out in front of the entire community, and he isn’t at all mad about it. He’s contrite. He told Carol he doesn’t want to lie anymore, and I think he meant he specifically didn’t want to lie to Michonne. He can’t. And I think this could be the first time he’s seeing that this is no ordinary friendship.

He gives her another one of those looks 6x07, and I have no idea what he might be thinking, but I love how he gives her no personal space, and shamelessly looks her up and down, and it’s pretty much the opposite of how he interacts with Jessie, and I’m just not even sure why they ever bothered with that woman. Because he looks like he’s ready to risk it all right here.

So as these moments build, I do think Rick was likely starting to figure it out in those two months after 6x09. Maybe watching Michonne take care of Carl, and/or having her come to his room every morning in search of toothpaste. I like to think that he started anticipating those visits because he enjoyed them so much, and one day it just hit him. Maybe that’s why he finally decided to take off his ring.

As for Michonne, it seemed as though she actually did realize it on that couch in 6x10. For her, everything has always been about other people. She’s been taking care of everyone else since the moment she stepped on screen, from saving Andrea, to looking for and eventually killing The Governor; from being desperate to find a home for the group, to doing everything in her power to stop Rick from ruining it, I don’t know if she could see what we were seeing for her. That she had someone that cared about her, too. Someone that had saved her life, literally, on a few different occasions, of course, but also figuratively.

He gave her a home. He gave her a family. He gave her the breaks she needed, but also a reason to come back. When she left Andrea, she was just looking for a way to survive, a place to rest her head, and with Rick, she found so much more. And I think it snuck up on her a little bit more than it did him, and that’s why she looks kind of scared, kind of excited when they hold hands on the couch. It’s a realization of all of this. It’s her realizing that Rick is her Betsy.

He’s the beginning and end of her days.

He’s what she wants for her life. And I think it took her until that very moment on the couch to see it. But like Rick, she had been falling all along.

I’d love to see them get married (whatever that means in the ZA) and have babies, but I’m in no rush for any of it. I mean, they’ve only been together like a week at this point, and even then, it’s been one distraction after another. And now, with Negan in the picture, I think it’s safe to say their lives are about to be changed irrevocably, and babies and weddings probably don’t fit into that picture. It’s time to go to war. And then they’ll (hopefully) get to live.

As for the comics, I honestly have no opinion on what’s going on, outside of wanting Michonne to be happy. I stopped reading once the show started following them so closely, so I really just hope a happy ending is in the cards for her.
