i don't think he means that

anonymous asked:

what are your reasons for not shipping karedevil?

  • matt doesn’t love her the way he thinks he loves her.
  • yes, they both lie to each other, and while matt did come clean that he couldn’t give up being daredevil, karen clearly said that she didn’t want to be part of that anymore. doesn’t mean she wants to stop being his friend.
  • matt is still very much in love with elektra and couldn’t possibly give karen the love and attention she deserves.
  • when karen said that matt deserved better too made it clear that marvel wants karen to think she’ll never be good enough for matt and that’s just demeaning. no woman should ever have to feel like that for/about a man.
  • there is nothing wrong with a platonic relationship.
  • platonic love is just as valid and meaningful as any other form of love.

We all know Miss Swift is the business queen, so it would be a really great if she took zayn on tour with her, they both are the most anticipated artists and everyone loves their music, and also get the most nadwagon hate which means more promo more monehhh

While I can appreciate and understand what you’re saying from a Business Hoe standpoint (and it would be a stadium tour I’m sure), to reiterate how much I don’t see Zayn committing to a TayTay tour, I have drafted an additional list of things Zayn would choose before that:

  • - Wrapping his dick in tinfoil and then standing out in a lightning storm
  • - Bungee jumping 80 feet in the air in a Porta-potty
  • - Wandering dick first into a ball pit loaded with anacondas

The way I see it, Prince Lotor could either be a great opportunity for serious drama or just an absolute Team Rocket-style shitty villain, and either way I am 110% ready to see Voltron dropkick him into space.

Magnus recognizing Alec’s potential for leadership from the very start, even when Alec didn’t believe in himself.

  • [during sex]
  • Hinata: NARUTO!
  • Naruto: SASUKE!
  • Hinata: ...
  • Naruto: ...
  • Hinata: ...
  • Naruto: I can explain
  • Naruto: It's a habit
  • Hinata: What?
  • Naruto: No, wait. What I mean is- the only person who shouts my name like that is Sasuke and I usually shout his name too, like, when we fight
  • Hinata: Why?
  • Naruto: I don't know. It's kind of our thing. We've been doing it for years.
  • Naruto: Well, not doing IT, you know, not like we just did. But that name thing, 'it.' I'm not in love with him, I swear! At least, not the same way I'm in love with you.
  • Hinata: Naruto
  • Naruto: I mean, we only kissed once, and it was totally an accident.
  • Hinata: Naruto
  • Naruto: Or, twice, unless you count that other time-
  • Hinata: NARUTO!
  • Naruto: SASUK- Hinata, I meant to say Hinata, see? It's like a reflex.
  • Hinata: Go sleep on the couch while I think about this relationship.
  • Naruto: Fine, but can I ask you something?
  • Hinata: *hopeful* Yes?
  • Naruto: By 'this relationship,' did you mean yours and mine or mine and Sasuke's?
  • Hinata: Get out.

that’s not a proper confession, Baku

excuses ive heard from people who did not want to watch the get down
  • idk, the plot looks boring –> it’s about ambitious young people who try to find a place in the society they were thrown into and i think anyone can relate to it
  • i watch too many shows! –> bruh, the first part of the season is only 6 episodes. i’m sure you can plan it in you schedule
  • i don’t know about hip hop or disco! –> me neither and it did not stop me from understanding the plot!
  • i don’t like musicals! –> it’s not Les Misérables, there is only like 4 major scenes where the characters sing/rap and it’s not corny in any way - it makes sense and the songs are hella catchy and amazing

so time to wake up y’all! part 2 is dropping on April 7th! just give it a try, i swear you’re gonna love it

It’s estimated that it would take dropping 23 nuclear bombs to make humanity go extinct. This is because the dust and ash kicked up from the blasts, and the ensuing debris, smoke, and other particle pollution would be swept around the world via air currents, blocking out the sun, cooling the earth, and killing off most surface lifeforms.

That’s what nuclear winter is. Dropping a bomb of that magnitude isn’t just a contained incident, especially not the bombs we have in the world today. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nothing compared to the capabilities of the nuclear warheads we have at our disposal now.

Dropping a bomb would not only kill tens or hundreds of thousands of people in the direct blast radius, it could reach the millions. Over the course of days and weeks, that number would only rise.

Any leader that threatens nuclear war is the enemy. Any leader that threatens nuclear war needs to be stopped. Any leader who thinks dropping a nuke in enemy territory is okay must be removed. We have seen what they do, and they must never be used again. Never.

The United States is not at risk here. It is extremely, EXTREMELY unlikely that North Korea will ever have the opportunity nuke mainland. We need to worry about South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, China, Russia, India, and the rest of Southeast Asia. That is where the danger lies. More than 50% of the world’s population lives within that region. If war came, if NK decided to drop a bomb (unlikely) and if the US government decided to drops bombs on NK, we’d have both China and Russia to worry about, what with our conflicts of interest in the region. Then there’s Japan and South Korea, two of our strongest, yet most vulnerable allies. South Korea, sitting on the end of the peninsula, and Japan, trapped on their island. If real war broke out, you can be sure as hell it will not be American civilians dying – it will be our Southeast Asian allies.

Going to war is not an option. North Korea’s leader WANTS to go to war. He WANTS the excuse to unleash hell. He WANTS to drop bombs and kill as many Westerners as possible. We can’t make threats. We need to be proactive, and shut them down. Enough is enough. He blatantly ignores sanctions. We need to strangle NK’s resources–its money, its industry, its trade, its allies. The world needs to show North Korea’s leader he is alone, and he has no power.

This isn’t about America. Our mainland is safe. Even if, by some accident, NK managed to launch a nuke-tipped missile that was going to hit the west coast, it has to travel an insane distance–5,600 miles. That’s almost twice the length of the mainland USA. We would have PLENTY of time, upwards of an hour, to react. Japan and the surrounding countries nearest to NK? They would have only seconds to minutes.

The fear of NK nuking mainland America has no substantial backing. This is about protecting our allies and their civilians. And that means not giving North Korea’s leaders the excuse they’re looking for to launch an attack. It’s what they want, because they want to legitimize a preemptive strike and blame us for instigating them.

It’s not about hating Sidney Crosby. It’s about hating the NHL’s bias toward him and other big named players like him. It’s about the danger that comes along with protecting the NHL’s golden boys. In the eyes of the Refs, players like him can’t do any wrong, and because of that, players like Methot get seriously injured. This isn’t necessarily Sid’s fault. He didn’t ask the NHL to protect him unnecessarily, but he needs to be held accountable for his shitty actions. He got away with two dangerous moves, two games in a row.

If you think that it’s okay for someone to take part of someone else’s finger off with no repercussions, just because “Well, he’s just really good at hockey,” then you’re part of the problem.

This was my favorite part of this episode. Here’s why:

So here comes Daesung, trailing after Seungri, hands full with bowls of washed lettuce and whatnot. He’s taking his sweet time and, in typical introvert fashion, complaining about how he isn’t ready to return to camp yet (“I don’t feel like going back”)… but the second he sees TOP tending to the fire his demeanor changes.

He’s all, “Whoa, look at that fire! You okay over there?” There’s a teasing note to it, yes. Because he’s already been on TOP’s case once today about the importance of washing his hands before handling meat that they’re all going to eat, come on, hyung.

But just underneath that there’s genuine concern, too. Because Daesung cares. And TOP is Big Bang’s big baby, after all. Someone’s gotta look after him. Daesung doesn’t call himself his nanny for nothing; one look at TOP dutifully manning the grill and he knows he’s having a hard time.

At Daesung’s voice TOP turns and– finally, someone who will listen to him! “The tongs are too short,” he complains, though by now he’s laughing at himself a little too. He knows his problems are trivial, but he just… he needs to unload on someone. The fire is hot! It hurts his hand! Why won’t anyone acknowledge that he’s struggling?

Poor TOP, the others all shot him down when he made a fuss about the heat from the fire burning his hand: “What do you want! Leave me alone!” They were so done with him right from the start; they had work of their own to do and no patience for his whining. But then along came Daesung, offering him an ear and an opportunity to vent his frustrations a bit. And really, sometimes that’s all TOP needs to keep going: someone who recognizes that, above all, he just wants to be heard.

Daesung is so good to him. 😭 😭 😭

why are people saying connor was abusive? idk where in canon is the fact that connor is abusive to his family addressed in canon? i feel like it isnt. all we see of him interacting with his family is his brief interaction with them in anybody have a map…. he wasn’t abusive, he was a snarky teenager. the only thing we know beyond what we clearly see is what zoe and larry say in requiem… we see zoe very clearly both in anybody have a map and in requiem blame her brother completely for his mental illness, she mirrors her parents opinion on it - connor’s drug problem is HIS fault and we see them view it as an annoyance not as a facet of his illness. larry is mad that connor “threw [the world that larry gave him] away”… i.e. larry gave him a good life, a good house, made sure they were in a good financial situation… basically “you’ve got a good life, why are you depressed.”

yes, we see connor being an ass to his family…. but i don’t think anything he did was anywhere close to abuse? he’s a kid who is sick and he is alone and his family isn’t doing anything to truly help him. connor is in no way perfect. he is not soft or pure…. but none of these characters are perfect. that’s their beauty. don’t put connor murphy into the “cinnamon roll” box, but don’t put him into the villain box either. as much as connor failed his family, they failed him.

(edit: i forgot what zoe said about him banging on her door etc., which is obviously inexcusable. i apologize for my mistake. just… remember that connor is a scared & lonely kid don’t villainize him for exhibiting ugly symptoms of mental illness that you can’t romanticize. obviously mental illness is NOT an excuse for abuse (i was in an emotionally abusive relationship for over a year and my abuser was mentally ill) but… don’t put any of these characters in a box theyre all so beautifully complex and deeply flawed and they deserve more than a box.)
i think it’s time i told you (i’m a fan of your universe) (1/1)

Years after Hawkmoth’s defeat, Ladybug and Chat Noir have a conversation about life, love, and marriage.

Ladybug checked her communicator for the third time that night, and frowned.

The green pawprint blinked idly back at her, resting at a junction between city streets—the same place it had been every other time she’d checked.

They hadn’t arranged to meet up that night. It was her turn for a solo patrol tonight, and there hadn’t been any trouble big enough to make calling for help a necessity. She’d stopped a couple muggings, interrupted a robbery—normal, small things. Nothing that needed an extra pair of hands.

And, sure, they both transformed just for the fun of it sometimes. Sometimes they caught one another out on morning strolls or midnight snack runs or impromptu patrols, but usually those involved moving around.

Chat’s tracker hadn’t moved in the past two hours.

She shouldn’t worry—Hawkmoth had been in jail for the past three years and Chat wasn’t in a bad part of town right now—but…

But…

The green pawprint blinked at her from the same junction, at the same pace, unmoved.

Ladybug abandoned the end of her route and headed downtown.

I NEED to tell people about something amazing that happened when I saw The Great Comet last week!

So in the song “The Abduction” Anatole silences the rowdy cast and sits down in the audience and there is supposed to be silence for a moment before he says “alright” and the commotion happens up again. WELL when I saw it an older women was sitting behind where Lucas Steele sat and in the silence kept shaking the shaker she got in his ear. In character he slowly looked behind him and saw it was this elderly woman and he turned around and struggled to hold in his laughter as she kept shaking it in his ear as he waved his hand for her to stop (in character). This went on for a good minute until Lucas just gave up throwing his arms in the air and laughed out “alright” and got up and the show continued as normal.
