i don't really like this tbh but okay

my taste in music is fucked up

sometimes I’m like “bitch I feel fabulous imma put on beyonce, demi lovato, selena gomez, taylor swift, adele and lady gaga cuz im feeling great right now” but then sometimes I feel so nostalgic and i’m like “no let’s put on nirvana, the smiths, pixies, soundgarden, radiohead, pink floyd, michael jackson, elvis, charlie sexton, and janis joplin cuz shit man older music is great” but then I feel so angry and I’m like “fuck let’s blast eminem, kanye west, jay-z, Dr. Dre, thirty seconds to mars, MCR, nickelback, NF, starset, fall out boy cuz shit I’m feeling pumped” but then i get all tumblr and am like “shit man twenty one pilots, melanie martinez, x ambassadors, lorde, troye sivan, halsey, the weeknd, imagine dragons, bastille, lana del rey, let’s smoke a joint and get all alternative in this bitch” and then I’m like “omfg film score is the most beautiful form of music ever hans zimmer, james newton howard, john powell fuck this music is great and expresses so much unattainable emotion” then I hear fucking david guetta, calvin harris, M83, chainsmokers, rudimental, disclosure and be like “EDM is fucking amazing and makes me feel like i’m flying and dancing it’s great” then I put on my singer-songwriter playlist and I’m like “fuck but ed sheeran, passenger, damien rice, kodaline, sleeping at last, mumford & sons, hozier, the lumineers, elmore, dodie, are all so great and simplistic and make me feel like running through the forest on a cold morning” and I don’t have a single type of music because i have so many personalities and it gets really hard to explain sometimes but i guess the music is there to explain it all for me

To all my overachievers who don’t get praise from parents and loved ones anymore because it’s just expected of you to do well: I’m proud that you passed that test, I’m happy you graduated with honors, I love that you try your hardest all the time.

I know sometimes the lack of support and encouragement from those whose opinions matter the most to you can be disheartening, but keep pushing through and being the amazing person you are.

i know people feel like they messed up how magnus showed alec his cat eyes and ruined another first for malec or whatever but i completely disagree i love that it was shown in the way it was with magnus being in charge and just showing the lightwoods and being like “this is who i am” and alec’s little peak of interest… loved it

Writing Challenge part 2

OKAY IT’S ON! Here’s my reply to @prettynasty

1. That’s when I realized that there was no match for him. No one could ever make me feel like he did, no matter how hard they tried.

2. She knew her calendar like the back of her hand, always prepared for everything and everyone. However nothing could have prepared her for him.

3. He was north, she was south. He was the moon, she was the sun. Their love always present, but never allowed.

4. And as soon as he smiled that persuasive smile, she knew.

5.  His art was excellent - there was no other word. I felt tears in my eyes, and as I studied his work further, the tears streamed down my cheeks. I had no idea why I was crying, but I just couldn’t help myself.

6. She was haunted by his touch. It was like his hands were actually there, hovering over her, but never actually touching her.

7. As he walked down that all too familiar street he felt a pang of nostalgia.

8. Autumn was named after her mothers favorite season. Her mother had always loved the changing of the leaves, and the promise of a new beginnings. So she named her only daughter after it.

9. He awoke with a feeling of absence. He looked to his side, and sure enough his wife was nowhere to be found. Perplexed, he walked to the kitchen to find her in her pyjamas and a ‘kiss the chef’ apron, with flour on her nose and a grin on her face. “I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to make your favorite cookies.”

10. And there they were, at the crack of dawn, sitting on the beach. Their friendship stronger than ever, and their hearts full of love.

11. She looked at him, trying to make her smile look less perplexed than it probably did - however failing miserably.

12. She considered herself rich in the best sense of the word. She had all the love she could ever wish for, and her heart was full.

13. Her feelings for him came like thieves is the night, uninvited and unwanted. However she couldn’t deny that they were now in fact present. All she could do was decide how to deal with them.

14. She tried to act unaffected by his cruel actions, but his words felt like a dagger in her heart. He had never loved her, only pretending to care. As he walked away, her knees gave out and she fell to the floor - broken.

15. They sat quietly on the abandoned rooftop, watching the breathtaking sunset. No words were exchanged, or needed for that matter. They had each other, and that’s all that they cared about. His hand etched closer to hers, and he finally mustered up the courage to take her hand. His hearts was beating so hard, he thought it might break out of his chest at any minute. But the moment she laced her fingers with his, he knew. He loved her, and he would spend the rest of his life making sure that she was aware of this fact.

16. She looked out the window of the small café, watching the heavy rain turn to a gentle drizzle. She felt content - that is until she saw him. He was standing across the road, looking straight at her. His eyes were partially covered by his now soaked hair, but she still felt his stare. After what felt like an eternity, he made his way over to the café. Her breath caught in her throat when the entrance bell rang, and he sat down across from her. He looked at her, running his hands through his wet hair. He licked his chapped lips, like he was preparing himself for the words he were about to say. “I’ve missed you”.

17. As they walked through the mall hand in hand, he couldn’t hold back his smile. She was telling him about the bunnies that her best friend had just bought, and how she now wanted one as well. Her eyes lit up as she talked about their fluffy ears and cute little butts. He leaned down to kiss her nose, making her blush. “I love you” he said while lightly touching her cheek. She smiled and leaned up to kiss his chin. “Enough to buy me a bunny?”. He brushed his thumb across her cheek and lightly kissed her lips. “Enough to buy you all the bunnies and other fluffy creatures in the world”.

18. They lived their lives as parallel lines, always going in the same direction, but never actually touching.

19. They were on the phone, talking like they did every night. He was singing to her, his voice like a symphony. This was the only way she could fall asleep these days. Him being so far away was hard, so falling asleep to his beautiful voice was her favorite way of pretending that he was right there beside her.

20. She was sitting at the huge dinner table, all alone like usual. He had promised that he would come home for dinner, but once again she had been a fool for trusting him.

21. Considering their history she really shouldn’t have trusted her, not the slightest. However she was currently in the need of a friend, and who was she to deny anyone when she was this desperate.

22. She came home from a long day of work, hearing her favorite sound in the whole world - her sons laughter. She put down her bag and took off her shoes and jacket. She walked to the living room to see her husband and son playing on the couch. Her heart felt so full, she thought it might explode.

23. His thumb graced her cheek, wiping away the salty tears that she couldn’t hold i any longer. He kissed them away one by one, and held her as tight as he possibly could. His touch a reminder that she would never be alone - that she would always have him.

24. He opened the door, walking into her room. He spotted it on his way to the bathroom, and being the curious creature he was, he just couldn’t help himself.

25.  And that’s when she knew - he had forever changed her.

Aaron isn’t really sure how it happened, in the end. One minute they were putting their ensuite shower to use, Robert sneaking in behind him as Aaron soaped up his hair, and the next thing he knew, Robert had gone flying, cracking his head against the thick glass of their shower door.

“Jesus - fuck, Robert, are you okay?” Aaron shut off the shower, sliding a bit on the tiled floor himself as he crouched down to check if his husband was okay, Robert sitting on the shower floor, looking a little more than dazed.

“‘M… not sure,” Robert’s words slurred a little as he spoke, pressing a hand to the back of his head.

Aaron hooked his arms around Robert, his husband like dead weight as he hoisted him out of the shower, depositing him unceremoniously on their bed, knowing Robert would give him nothing but grief later for letting their fresh bedsheets get soaked through.

“Let me see,” he murmured, tilting Robert’s head slightly so he could assess the damage. Robert’s head wasn’t bleeding, or anything, so he took that as a good sign, but that shower door was seriously thick glass, and Aaron couldn’t help but be concerned.

Especially when Robert was still so dazed.

“Come on, get dressed,” Aaron said, pulling on his own boxers, wincing at the way his clothes stuck to his damp skin.

“Why?”

“Because I’m taking you to the hospital Robert,” Aaron said, as if it were obvious. “You just nearly cracked your skull open on the shower door, you could have a concussion.”

“I’ll be fine, just a bit woozy,” Robert shrugged, fumbling for the trousers Aaron was handing him.

“Robert, don’t argue with me,” Aaron shook his head, fully dressed now. He would have run down to grab something to eat, but he didn’t quite trust Robert to get down the stairs (god, why had they gone for a spiral staircase again) without tumbling head first down it, the state he was in.

Robert seemed too disorientated to argue, squinting at the button of his trousers as he tried to do it up.

“I can’t believe I’m dressing ya,” Aaron teased, covering his worry with a joke as he buttoned Robert’s trousers. “I didn’t think we’d be doing this until you were at least forty.”

“Ha-ha,” Robert attempted to roll his eyes, tugging on a discarded t-shirt of Aaron’s. “You try getting your pants on after you nearly brained yourself in the shower.”

Aaron gave him a sympathetic look, squeezing his hip. “It’s probably just a concussion, if anything,” he said, guiding a still disorientated Robert toward the stairs, practically sighing with relief as his husband held tightly to the bannister, taking the steps one at a time (usually Robert was worse than Liv, thundering down the stairs like a small herd of elephants.)

“I’m going to have a banging headache either way,” Robert sighed, picking up a hoodie of Aaron’s, Aaron having had left it thrown over the back of the couch the previous evening. “And I didn’t even get an orgasm out of it.”

Aaron snorted, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Robert’s lips. “I’ll make it up to ya, old man.”

It had been a concussion. A fairly mild one at that, the nurse barely holding in laughter as Robert explained how he’d slipped in the shower, his cheeks turning a bright pink as he did so.

They’d spend the day on the couch, Robert nursing a banging headache and Aaron more than making up for the orgasm that wasn’t by the end of the day.

Robert had all but gotten over it when he’d gotten to work the next morning, a shower mat on his desk, right red bow attached and Adam doubled over in the corner, laughing his head off. “You told him?” he asked, incredulous.

Aaron couldn’t do much to hold back his laughter now either. “I had to tell him why we weren’t coming in to work!” he defended himself, remembering how Adam had just broken down on the phone when Aaron had told him they were in A&E because Robert had fell in the shower, Adam quickly putting two and two together.

Robert glared at the two of them. “Don’t either of you dare tell Vic.”

A week later, a brochure for shower chairs arrived in their front door, Victoria’s neat hand writing stating she’d picked out a few nice ones for him, and that was the moment Robert decided he hated his entire family.

i really like your blog but i was kinda disappointed to see that stuff about ace people... they're part of the community regardless of whether or not they're discriminated... and also tbh there are a lot of sexualities that simply don't get as much hate because they're not well known... as for ace people - I literally had a teacher tell my class this week that "being asexual or aromantic - those people are sick, you can't be those things and be healthy... it's an illness"... decide what you will

oh my god. Look. Okay, this is all I’m going to say on the matter:

being anything and everything outside of a cis heterosexual person is not like a free pass to the lgbt community. okay, I am an Ace person, I am ace. I am asexual. and people talking about aph*bia on here KILL ME, because at the end of the day being ace does not mean you’re lgbt. someone saying that- doesn’t mean they hate ace people?? It doesn’t! why is that so upsetting to hear? being straight ace doesn’t mean you’re lgbt, it means you’re straight ace, Why are straight ace people so Desperate to call themselves specifically LGBT??, like whats wrong with calling yourself straight ace?,

I don’t care if you’re disappointed to see it on my blog, unfollow my blog, because I stand by this. Being straight ace doesn’t make you lgbt. And if someone who is lgbt tells someone who is straight ace that being straight ace doesn’t make them lgbt then honestly why should that bother them in the first place like?? Doesn’t mean you’re not ace? Doesn’t mean you haven’t possibly faced your own forms of exclusion as someone who is ace?? It just means you aren’t lgbt??? Why are these people so desperate to call themselves lgbt??

listen to me. being asexual IS valid. It is different and I am ace myself, I know that in being ace a person can be faced with various forms of exclusion and even manners of oppression in regards to that but that relates specifically to being asexual and it does not make someone lgbt.

the post I reblogged highlighted the fact that being asexual has never been punishable by law anywhere in the world at any given time. and that’s just true. that’s a true statement. there’s nothing wrong with wanting your identity to be accepted and understood and validated and recognized for what it is. but maybe let’s stop trying to identify it as something that it’s not??

It really bothers me when customers come after me for not being great conversation, I'm polite and all but they're literally just complaining that I don't feel like chatting extensively with them and it's like.... why do you feel entitled to conversation with random strangers tbh you don't know what kind of day I've had and I'm sure you have times where you don't feel like making small talk either. Leave me alone :/ idk it just makes me sad, like I'm just tired okay
