HAPPY PRIDE MONTH MY DUDE 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Happy Birthday to my wonderful Riva!
↳  levi tickets for you to spend on your bday! XD

I’m opening this commission thing. I think the graphic shows everything with the additional fee for extra characters. I’ll be accepting Paypal only.

More artworks are found in my art tag. I have two organized pages here per fandom (anime, books).  I actually make comics, too, and if you’re into that we’ll have to discuss the pricing since it will be a bit different. comics are pretty darn hard to do. So feel free to browse. ;D

Things to consider first before anything else:

  1. I’ll most likely draw in any fandom of your choice. So that means, I’m not limiting it to anime. It can be… anything. (given i can, that is)
  2. Original characters or yourself are also fine with me! If possible, provide references for this or a detailed description.
  3. I won’t draw porn. I’m sorry. I draw fluff 100% most of the time so I’m not sure what you can expect from me in that department.
  4. I only do flat backgrounds as you may have noticed.
  5. Please don’t give me an early deadline, it makes me feel too pressured and I already am with my job as an artist at work. So please be considerate don’t give me “I need it next week!” I’ll only have time on weekends so please keep this in mind. I’ll work on it when I can.
  6. BUT! If you wish to be prioritized, then you’ll have to pay a small fee. :)
  7. The artwork you’ll be paying for is for personal use only

Okay, for those interested, send me a message for inquiries (that new message thing on Tumblr is very nice please use that) or to be safer–and I HONESTLY PREFER THIS–email me at cathrelr@gmail.com with the subject Art Commission [insert something unique here since same subjects tend to merge on mail. weird] so I can keep track of everything.

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this! This will help me out!

Happy Birthday | to my fab and awesome Oz-chan!!!  ♪ ♬ ヾ(´︶`♡)ノ ♬ ♪

So uhm… i’m having writer’s block right now. Like no matter how long a paragraph i make, I end up deleting it and getting stomped.

So in order to get over this, do you guys mind sending me prompts? Both in writing and drawing is fine, because you know i kind of draw too. OR you guys can vote on what I should write first!

a) Langst Fic Idea part 4 which i’ll be renaming as Serpents and Lions

b) All Bottled Up which is a Shklance one

c) Shallurance werewolf AU

d) a new one where Lance and the Shiroes? Shireos? Shirs? are involved

Hi! I loved your posts about the names in Noragami *wink wink* (I'd love it if you made more)

Well I haven’t done one for our main character yet so here goes!

Okay, so you know how the 兆 in Kazuma’s name was a drawing of cracks in a piece of bone? The earliest ancient Chinese writing we know of was a bunch of predictions made by people reading cracks in bones and telling the future based on them. There’s actually another kanji that was based on those cracks:

卜, pronounced ぼく(boku) or うらなう (uranau), means “divination” or “fortune telling.” But it’s rarely used, since there’s another kanji 占 (”sen” or “uranau”) that’s used in all the more common words.

Meanwhile, when the Japanese borrowed writing from China, they found that they sometimes wanted to write words purely phonetically, so they invented the two kana syllabaries. Kana originally came from kanji that were being used for their sound. Hiragana are cursive versions of those kanji and katakana are abbreviations. Take the sound “to” for example. It was written with the kanji 止, which got simplified to と in hiragana and ト in katakana.

You’ve probably noticed by now that the kanji 卜 and the katakana ト are, well, identical.

Luckily there’s a couple ways to tell them apart:

  • Kanji are generally written a little bigger than kana, though this doesn’t happen in every font.
  • The katakana ト will usually show up in words with other katakana, like in トマト “tomato.” The kanji 卜 will show up in an imaginary universe where people actually use the kanji 卜 in their daily lives.

This confusion ties right in to our buddy Yato from Noragami, whose name is spelled 夜ト. The  夜 (ya) means “night” and the ト is just a purely phonetic “to”

until the scene where Hiyori tries to summon him by calling his true name and “Yato” doesn’t work. With quick thinking and a trip to an imaginary universe where people actually use the kanji 卜 in their daily lives, she figured out that his real, original name was 夜卜, pronounced “Yaboku” and meaning something like “night oracle.”

And that’s how a coincidence in the development of writing led to a cute little plot point in an anime centuries later.

Overprotective // Ian x Reader

You and Ian had been having a thing behind your brother’s, Joji, back. You kept it a secret just because you knew that Joji would get very protective over you and wouldn’t let you date Ian.
