In your dreams :*
E. If you could live and be healthy without sleeping or eating/drinking, which would you cut out of your life?
None of the above, actually? I really enjoy all of them, and I would do them for pleasure even if didn’t need to to survive. Maybe sleeping, since what I really like about sleeping is the relaxed half-asleep stages and dreaming (the parts you can actually remember and enjoy). If you could cut out the hours of each night you spend idle and not in REM, I would love that.
A. If you could get away with one murder in your lifetime without any legal, social, or emotional repercussions, would you kill someone?
Probably, tbh; there are people the world would be better off without. I wouldn’t trust myself to decide who, though, and anyone powerful enough to make a difference would have a succession line set up so their plans wouldn’t be interrupted if they died.
T. If everyone in the world would automatically only know one language, which language would you choose?
Esparanto, because it was designed to be easy to learn and there would be less of a platform for people to make fun of each other for not using it perfectly. I wouldn’t want that to happen, though. Language diversity is cool and important.
M. If you could have the ability to manipulate matter or energy, which would you choose?
Ignoring the whole “matter is energy” deal, matter. That’s a pretty all-encompassing power; at the very least, I’d have telekinesis and be able to blow stuff up.
Y. Do looks mean anything to you? Don’t lie, could you fall in love with someone you thought was ugly?
My first instinct is to say yes, I’m shallow and looks matter a lot, but when I think about my actual crushes and relationships… The most intense crush I ever had was in middle school, on a guy who wasn’t physically attractive at all, even through the rose-colored beer goggles of infatuation. But he was friendly, competent, athletic, popular, smart, and nice to me when not many people were, and I had such a huge crush on him that I literally shook and had trouble breathing when I tried to talk to him.
Plus, when you fall in love with someone, it kind of becomes impossible to find them ugly; even if you know other people wouldn’t consider them attractive, your reaction to their appearance is positive.
On the other hand, attraction and chemistry are important to me, and you can’t force attraction where there isn’t any. I could have a romantic and nonsexual relationship, or vice versa, but if I’m not attracted to someone at all, I don’t see how I could have a relationship with them. So looks aren’t important per se, but attraction definitely is.
B. What is your first thought when you receive a message on Tumblr, are you excited for the idea of someone from potentially the other side of the world wanting to talk to you or fearful that someone will criticize you?
I usually assume it’s somebody I’ve already been talking to, so excited, especially if it’s a conversation I’m really interested in. A lot of the time I can predict who the message is from, though, so there isn’t the same element of surprise that I think most people have.
U. If you were old enough and not in a situation where it would be inappropriate, would you sleep with one of your (past) school teachers/professors?
Ngl, there have been so many, I’d probably do at least one.
Thanks for asking! Alphabetical Asks
